A/N: Hey guys, NumeralFuture11 here to just tell you that there will be two rather important things that I need to address at the end of this chapter. One is something that I feel like I may as well mention, the other is a bit more important…

Don't worry, the story isn't getting cancelled…

-The Enchanter of Fairy Tail-

Chapter 52: Fight On Florist Mountain

Year: X758. 26 years till Canon begins.

Cade POV:

Me and Ur had been walking for a while now up the mountain. Turns out her little cabin had a pathway that did lead down to the grassy ground below, it was just out of the way of everything else so it was hard to miss below the mountain.

As we were walking, we moved passed by the area where I fell down and Ur caught me. A shiver moved down my spine when I remembered that particular moment yesterday. Thankfully, I could see no more storm clouds in the distance, so we should both be ok.

As we turned a corner, we moved up a secluded little pathway that I must have missed during the storm when I forgot where the path was. Five minutes of walking up it, revealed a cave.

"Ah… this was right here then wasn't it." I said with annoyance at having missed this yesterday. If only I spotted the cave yesterday!

"There are lots of caves like this around the mountain." Ur stated. "For many travellers they offer good shelter. In my case, I know these mountains well enough to the point where I know the way back to my cabin even in the worst of conditions."

"And yet I missed it yesterday." I said as I peered into it. "Still, even if I had found it, I may not have had enough food for the night. Perhaps it's for the best that I found you yesterday."

The both of us then kept moving up the mountain, with the snow getting thicker and deeper as we climbed. Hardly any of the path was visible now, yet Ur continued to lead the way.

As we walked, I decided to get to break the ice so to speak. "So. What exactly do you do when you're not going on jobs?" I asked.

"I mostly go from town to town to see what there is. It means that if there's a job nearby I can stop by in that town to get some supplies." She explained.

"Have you ever been to Magnolia?" I inquired with interest.

"I have passed by it." Ur answered. "I haven't had the time to head down and see what's in there though. Apparently there's a wizards guild there." She added, as she seemed to think about that.

"Oh there's a guild there all right." I said wanting to build this up. "They are one of Fiore's best."

Ur gave me a curious look. "Really? What's the guilds name?" She asked.

"Fairy Tail." I grinned. "I'd know about that of course as-" I rolled up my sleeve to show her my mark. "I'm in the guild myself."

Ur looked a bit surprised to hear that. "I had no idea that you were part of that guild! I've heard many stories about them while I've been travelling."

"What kind?" I questioned with a smile on my face.

"That you end up destroying more than you mean to."

"Agh… W-Well I'm nothing like that!" I affirmed quickly. "I always make sure to keep as little damage as possible on my jobs."

We passed by another small tree, and then a good idea occurred to me just now. I was surprised that I hadn't thought of it earlier.

"Hey Ur? Why don't you join Fairy Tail?"

This caught the girl's attention. "What? Join your guild?" She exclaimed with surprise. "Why?"

"I think you'd like it there. It's fun to be a part of a big group. You can go on jobs, talk to everyone, make friends… Also I'd be nice to have someone else in my age range." I grinned.

Ur gave me a sad smile. "I'm sorry… but I've never been interested in joining a guild."

"…Say what?" That took me by surprise.

Ur chose to elaborate for me. "Think about it. If I wanted to join a guild, would I have not done so much earlier in my life?" She said to me.

"Oh… right that does make sense… Ok, but why haven't you wanted to join a guild before?" I asked with interest. It's not everyday that you get to ask an independent wizard this.

Ur looked interested to see me keep pressing on this question.

"Well… don't all the guilds in Fiore get scolded by the Magic Council for being too chaotic? By being a free woman, I don't have to be under their harsh restrictions." She answered. "Also by being on the move most of the time, it means that I can help people that may need it, but aren't able to send a job request to a guild."

I was impressed by her reasoning there. 'Huh, guess that does make sense…'

"I have always wondered why some independent wizards don't join guilds. Never really considered the fact that not everyone may be unable to send out a cry for help."

Ur gave a sigh. "Many guild wizards think that. It's not until you see the freelance job board in some of the bigger towns that you realise how bad things are for some people."

I nodded in understanding. "So you like this life then?" Ur gave me a puzzled look. "Not that I was thinking that your life was dull or boring, but just if you were happy with what you had." I quickly established to defend myself.

"Yes I'm happy with what I have." Ur turned and gave me a smile. "Seeing all these different people and how they live their lives – it helps me understand them a bit more. It also makes me a bit excited to see what job I may get next."

"That's good to hear. Always try to keep a good outlook for the future."

We had now passed a few shrubs that were growing off the path. The fact that life could still flourish up this high in the sky was of great shock to me.

Thankfully the weather was not nearly as bad as it was yesterday when I was trekking through the mountains. There was a clear blue sky, with a simple yet hard breeze flowing through the air.

We were now mainly passing by the edge of the mountain. The path curved along the edge of the cliffs weaving in and out. I looked up and saw that the summit and (presumably the trees that the mayor talked about) were up there.

"So what's the plan when we get up there?" I questioned. "I'm curious how you want to handle this, seeing as you know these cliffs more than me."

Ur thought about that. "It would be best if we found the fruit trees and waited for this individual to come out. With luck we can hopefully determine what his magic is, and act on that accordingly." She suggested.

"Hmm." That wasn't a bad plan. Just hoping that there was some rocks to maybe hide behind, or else we would we spotted instantly.

"Why do you think he is attacking the people up here for the fruit?" I wondered, as we continued to climb.

"I know that the fruits up here are quite delicious and tasty to eat. I know because I've had some before in the past." Ur said smiling. "Although… I asked the locals about the trees and they said something interesting about them."

"Oh? What was that they said?" I was curious about this information.

"Due to how delicious they are, many chefs and merchants trade highly for them with this town to use them for their own means. I've heard from the villagers that almost all the fruits have nearly no seeds in them." Ur informed me.

"What? No seeds? Then how can the trees spawn more?" I questioned.

"Perhaps it is a case of luck. The fruits that are not picked by the people who come up here are dropped and lost in the snow, where they will eventually grow into fruit trees. Although… If someone were to get the seeds from the fruit, they could try growing their own trees and sell the fruits for profit." Ur spoke.

"That might be what our guy up here is doing. He might be trying to get the villagers away to have the trees for himself. Then he'll try to find a seed and run off with it. There's a chance that he might not even care about the people he is harming." I scowled.

We had now came to an upward pathway that led up into the summit.

"This is it. Chances are our opponent will be passed this point. You good to go?" I said to Ur.

"Ready." Ur confirmed.

I nodded my head, and both of us climbed up the path to the summit of the mountain.

The summit was quite big and mostly smooth with a few small bumps in the snow. To the right side I could see a cave that had some footprints coming in and out of it. To the far end of the summit (opposite me and Ur), I could see some trees that twisted upwards, with their branches coming outwards in a tangling angle. The branches had some fruit that were hanging off them.

"There's the fruit trees." I pointed to the trees in the distance. "I can also see a cave there. That might be where he's hiding." I muttered to Ur quietly, as to not have this person hear us.

I then heard some sounds coming from the cave to my right. I quickly turned and saw a silhouette of a man coming to leave the cave. My eye then spied a few rocks to our side that we could hide behind.

"Quick, hide!" I hissed to Ur, as we then darted behind some of the rocks to remain hidden.

Out of the cave came a decently sized man, with some warm clothing on. He quickly scanned the area of the summit to see if anyone was here. Satisfied at the lack of company, he moved over to where the trees are and tried to reach for the fruit on them.

While he was turned away from us, I whispered to Ur. "This may be our only chance to get him when he's distracted. You want to get him now?"

Ur nodded her head in agreement.

I then silently Requiped into my Crimson Armour, before I gave a silent countdown to Ur with my fingers.

When I reached zero, we sprung.

"Ice-Make: Arrows!

"Stone Beam!"

While my attack was fairly straightforward, there seemed to be a technique to Ur's magic.

Ur moved one of her hands into the shape of a fist before she then slammed it onto her other hands palm. She then made some sharp arrows that were sent flying towards the man.

'Interesting. So that's how Maker Magic works then eh?' I thought as our attacks flew towards the man.

He in question was stunned to hear us launch some attacks at him. He quickly turned around and casted his own attack at us.

"Gale Wave!" He cried as he waved his hands and sent a huge gust of wind that blew away our attacks and sent all the snow on the mountain's summit our way at a fast speed.

Ur quickly moved to block the snow. "Ice-Make: Shield!"

This attack – if you were even to call it an attack, created a large shield that had the shape of a flower on it appear out of thin air. This shield was able to block all the snow that was heading our way, with it piling up against it.

"Now, Ice-Make: Eruption!" Ur shouted.

This attack erupted up all the snow that was against the shield, causing it to be thrown into the air and scattered across the summit.

As I prepared myself, I quickly enchanted myself with Soft and Soar to help with any dicey situations. When I felt the enchantments take place, I casted off my next spell.

"Six-Layered Stoneflake!" I cried.

This variation of the Stoneflake magic involved six sharp shards (of what was meant to be ice) to be summoned in the sky, in which they will fly downwards to my opponent.

The six sharp stone shards were summoned in the air not too far away from where the man was. As they came flying down towards him, Ur chose to cast a spell to attack him from a different angle.

"Ice-Make: Arrows!" Ur casted forth her arrows again and sent them shooting towards the man. As both of our attacks got closer to him, he used the wind in the air to redirect my sharp stone to Ur's arrows with them both cancelling each other out.

"Gale Torent!" The man shouted as he casted some razor-sharp winds to be sent towards Ur and me. Me and Ur had different methods when it came to dealing with them, whereas I simply darted out of the way using my magic, Ur took a more direct approach.

"Ice-Make: Swords!" Ur cried, as she summoned some swords out of thin air. She then spun the swords around before she fired them off at the winds that were heading her way. Her swords were able to slash right through the man's wind, angering the man a touch.

"Gale Wave!" The man cried again, as he sent a huge wave of air towards the both of us.

"Take this! Stone Wave!" I shouted, as I chose to match his move with my own.

As our waves collided in the middle, there was a loud sound of stone being smashed apart by his harsh winds. When the dust cleared away, I saw that the man was pushed back a bit, with lots of small stones scattered across the ground.

Ur then chose to act upon this. "Ice-Make: Shattering Ice!"

This attack of hers summoned forth multiple large amounts of ice that were sent flying towards the man from different angles. The man gave a loud grunt when this happened, and quickly stretched his arms outwards.

"Gale Outcry!" He shouted.

The winds from the man allowed him to completely blow away all the ice from his incoming paths. I was the next to make a move.

"Five-Layered Stoneflake!" I uttered.

This caused five sharp shards of stone to be summoned at my back which then were sent out and flew to the man.

"Kch! Gale Tempest!" The man shouted.

This attack sent waves of wind flying towards my stone that caused them to blow off course and hit the snow.

'His wind must be really strong if he's able to blow my attacks away when they are moving that fast!' I realised with a grunt.

"Ice-Make: Rose Blister!" Ur cried.

Ur's attack here involved her summoning dozens of roses, in which the thistles on them flew off and sped towards the wind user.

The man gave a grunt of frustration and leapt up into the air using his magic. As he was in the air, he held out his hands and fired off a spell.

"Gale Tornado!" He bellowed.

This attack summoned decently sized tornados that were erupted from the ground and were sent rampaging towards me and Ur.

"Stone Wave!" I shouted!

My huge wave of stone was sent hurling towards the tornados. The stone I sent flying forward was quickly crushed and blown off the mountain due to the tornados.

Ur chose to step in to assist me here. "Ice-Make: Cold Slicer!"

This attack by Ur involved her sending several slices of ice out and speeding towards the tornados. Unfortunately, they were also easily beaten, with them being torn to shreds upon them making contact with them.

"Don't worry Ur, I've got this! Disappear!" I shouted as I held out my hand at the tornados. My attack then caused the explosion that utterly destroyed the tornados, leaving the man shocked.

However, my attack was a bit too powerful it seems, as it was casted a bit too close to me causing me to be blown back off the mountain edge! I was just able to grab onto a root that was coming out of the mountain edge and hang on for life.

I was now a threshold away from falling hundreds of feet to the ground and succumbing to whatever waited a man after his life ended.

"Dammit! What was I thinking casting that spell to close to me! I should have seen that coming!" I snarled at my own mistake.

'Soar won't help me here. I need to leap up off the ground for that to work. I'll have to use my own upper body strength here!'

"Cade!" I heard Ur shout for my concern as I was hanging on.

"Don't worry about me! Just get him!" I shouted to her.

No POV, Ur:

Ur was nervous about how Cade was literally hanging for dear life there over the cliff. However, did know that if she went to pull him up the man would just blow the both of them off. She doubted she would be able to the save the both of them if that happened.

While she couldn't pull him up, she could trust his strength. He seemed to be a pretty strong boy for his age.

"Ice-Make: Rope!" Ur shouted as she sent a rope that tied onto a rock and was casted over the edge that Cade fell down.

'Hopefully Cade can climb up that. I'll just have to trust his upper body strength.' Ur thought

All Ur could do was to stomach her nerves of Cade's safety, and hope that he could climb back up as she took care of this man. She got into a fighting stance and prepared herself.

"Ice-Make: Ballista!" Ur shouted.

Her attack here summoned a big ice ballista that fired off a powerful beam of ice towards whoever she wanted. In this case, the man attacking them.

The man huffed as the attack came his way. "Take this! Gale Twister!"

The man used his magic to send a burst of wind that sliced towards Ur. She however, countered this easily.

"Ice-Make: Geyser!" She casted.

As the two spells met in the middle, her Ice-Make spell was able to shatter his wind attack with relative ease.

It seems that in a case of magic power, she had this man beat.

"Gale Tornados!" The man shouted as he waved his hands to summon his tornados again.

Ur cringed in annoyance when they were summoned. With how sharp and fast they were, most of her Ice-Make attacks would be shattered or blown away.

Ur leapt away as the tornados were sent towards her. As the tornados began to move across the snow, it kept blowing the snow off the mountain top and down below.

'No!' Ur realised. 'If this keeps up then the snow will end up going over the edge and will knock Cade off! I have to take care of the tornados now!'

"Ice-Make: Ice Volcano!" She cried.

This was one of Ur's most powerful spells. The ground erupted beneath the tornados into a pit causing the summit to shake, and out from the pit came snow, hail and ice that absolutely wiped out the tornados. When the spell was complete the pit in the ground sealed itself shut again.

While that attack was powerful, Ur had to use a bit of magic to cast that attack. She was left panting a little, while the man was angered by Ur's ability.

"Damm you! Gale Impact!" The man shouted.

"Ice-Make: Arrows!" Ur casted, putting her fist on her palm.

The man sent his wind that was in the shape of several disks towards Ur. Ur's arrows were able to cancel out the winds the man sent her way, yet Ur was not finished.

"Ice-Make: Lance!" She cried as she summoned several lances of ice that she was able to fire forwards towards the man, making for a powerful range attack.

"Gale Hurricane!" The man shouted as he waved his hands in the air in a rhythm like fashion.

This caused a large jet of wind to be blown around the man, causing Ur' spells to be knocked away. But that was not the end of the man's spell. His winds continued to blow faster, thicker and more violent around him. Eventually he was completely protected by the wind. This was also causing the snow to be sent flying off the mountain top and down below.

Ur gave a tisk of annoyance at this. "Ice-Make: Rosen Krone!" She casted.

This spell of hers was able to summon large roses and large branches that were meant to surround and bind the opponent. Ur would then use her magic to finish the opponent off for good.

Sadly, while her attack did surround the man's wind, her roses and branches were utterly destroyed when they came into contact with the man's wind.

"Ice-Make: Blizzard!" She casted after.

As Ur summoned her ice that was in the form and pattern of a regular blizzard, the giant wall of wind that was protecting the man suddenly moved outwards and expanded which caused several gusts of wind to blow away Ur's ice and almost caused some of them to hit her.

'It's no use! My magic isn't strong enough to get through his wind!' Ur thought. 'He might have a blind spot at the top of his wind shield, but I can't get up there!'

As Ur was thinking of a plan to counter this, a strange sensation came over her.

What was this feeling…? Ur suddenly felt lighter and much more agile than she did before!

"Hey!" Came the voice of Cade over the cliff. "I just enchanted you there! You can jump higher now than you could have before!" He yelled at the top of his voice. "Use that boost to take that guy down!"

'Cade enchanted me?' Ur thought with confusion. Yet, there was seemingly no other explanation for what had happened. Ur did feel much lighter than she did before.

"I'm not sure how you did that there Cade, but thanks for the power up!" She cried out a thanks to her friend.

Ur then got ready to leap up and find the weak spot in the man's shield of air. She crouched died and quickly jumped up into the air.

Ur was blown away by how high she was able to leap up into the air. She was already high in the air being on this mountain. As she jumped, she was able to see all the land below the mountain along with Florist village.

More importantly she also spotted a small area of the wind barrier the man set up that was not as thick or aggressive as the other parts that she had attacked.

"There! Ice-Make: Arrows!" Ur shouted as she casted the ice arrows to be sent zooming towards the weak part of the barrier.

Ur was stunned to see that the barrier still expanded and was able to almost reach out in a sense and evaporate her arrows.

"Ice Make: Javelin!" Ur summoned forth a large javelin that she was easily able to wield in her hand. She threw it with all her might towards the weak point at the hope that it would hit then man's leg and cause him to cancel the spell.

As her javelin came into contact with the wind, it was quickly torn to shreds and was expelled from the surface of the wind.

Ur grimaced when this happened. That was definitely the weak spot of this barrier that the man was using. Yet her attacks seemed to be blown away or destroyed before they could hit it. What could she do?

Ur though this as she landed back on the ground with her feet.

'Attacks like my Ice-Make Javelin were able to get to the wind barrier and touch the surface, but the speed of the winds is making it to where my attacks are being destroyed before they can pierce it. What are my options here?' She wondered quickly.

As Ur was thinking this, the large wind barrier launched an attack at her that forced her to dart to the side with a simply jump. The barrier did this again, and Ur held out her hands to block it.

"Ice-Make: Shield!" As Ur summoned her shield, which did block the attack, she could feel a rumbling sound from beneath her. She looked down and felt the ground moving slightly. She quickly jumped away, and as she did so, the ground broke apart and a jet of harsh wind came up from it.

'That was close! He was hoping that I would block the attack, so that he could use his air to try and get me from underneath!' Ur remarked.

But as Ur landed to the side, an idea came over her. One that would end this fight if it worked.

'Ah ha! If I were to use an attack that would occur from inside the barrier then it can't be destroyed! It would hit the man and destroy the barrier as he would mostly lose concentration!' Ur realised.

As she planned this out, the barrier shot out several strong winds towards her. Ur used the strange enchantment that Cade gave her to leap out of the way and get closer and closer to the barrier.

When the time came, Ur leapt up into the air and flew over it while looking down at the weak spot that she saw overhead earlier. She waited a few seconds before the air cleared away slightly and saw the vague sight of the man casting the spell from in there.

"This will end this! Ice-Make: Freezing Ice Eruption!" Ur shouted as she caused her hands in her signature shaker and pointed them downwards where the man was.

As Ur finished leaping over the wind, she heard a loud sound of ice and broken stone from behind her. As she landed on the ground in a crouch, she turned her head and saw that the man was several feet up in the air, his arms and legs outstretched as if he was panicking. Of, course Ur had no reason to worry now, as he was completely frozen in ice.

Her attack had finished the fight. Freezing the man and ending his plans.

Cade POV:

'Hey that's the wind stopped!' I realised as I kept climbing up the rope that Ur casted down the rope for me to climb up.

I had been climbing this for a while now. I was glad that Ur was able to drop it for me, else I might have actually fell off that root that I was hanging onto.

I was able to wrap my arms and legs around the rope and pull myself up bit by bit. As I was climbing I decided to help Ur out a bit by giving her some enchantments, to give her an advantage over our opponent up there. I think I heard her thank me over the high winds…?

Close to the top now, I heard that the winds disappeared and there was no more noise up on the summit. I could only hope that was because Ur was able to defeat the man.

I then felt the rope suddenly jolt a little. Then it began to be pulled up to the summit, with me still holding on.

'Woah! I guess this means that Ur won the fight then.' I concluded as I then reached the top of the summit.

I was able to grab onto a stone that was just off the ledge and used that to pull myself back onto the snow of the summit. When my body hit the ground I looked up and saw Ur pulling the rope, a relieved expression on her face when she saw me.

I was then shocked to see the man stuck in the air, while also being entombed in ice.

"Nice one Ur!" I grinned at her. "Er, he's still alive right?"

"Oh he'll be fine." Ur assured me. "He'll just get unfrozen and then he can be handed into the Rune Knights easily enough."

"Oh good. Was worried for a second there. You handle yourself ok up here?" I asked.

"I had a bit of trouble getting through his wind barrier. I do appreciate your help there with the boost in mobility. I might have had a lot more trouble if it weren't for you there." Ur thanked me.

"Ah it's no problem." I smiled. Then my gaze drifted to the trees that were the reason this whole job started.

'I wonder how nice the fruit actually is.' I thought, as I moved over to them. I heard Ur's footsteps behind me as I walked.

When I got to the foot of the tree, I picked one of the fruits off of it and held it in my hand.

It was a snowy blue colour and could easily fit in my hand. It was in a circular shape and it had some small spiky bumps coming out of them. Some snow was on it, so I brushed it off with my gloved hand.

"You said you had one right? How nice are they?" I asked to Ur, who was beside me.

"Try it and see." Ur nodded.

I brought the fruit to my mouth and bit down on it taking a decently sized chunk out of it. When it entered my mouth, an amazing taste rushed through my mouth.

To say it was delicious was an understatement.

The way the juice in the fruit and the softness of the outside of it came together in your mouth made for a mouthwatering feeling. It felt like this was the sort of stuff that you would be served in high class restaurants.

"T-This is delicious!" I exclaimed, as the food was still in my mouth. I quickly swallowed what I had, before speaking up again. "No wonder why this guy was trying to get a seed to plant some more! You could start a whole restaurant based off this stuff!"

Ur chuckled at my reaction. "Almost everyone thinks it's delicious!" She said as she also took a fruit and ate it. She gave an inward sigh as she felt the delicious taste run through her mouth.

I began to take more bites of the fruit that I had, until I had devoured it completely. Ur also finished hers and we took a few deep breaths after that. We had just ate that fruit in less than a few seconds after all.

"As much as I'd love to have some more, we kind of need to hand this guy into the Rune Knights." I recalled, as I pointed to the man stuck in ice.

"Right. After that we can collect the reward from the mayor." Ur stated as she moved over to the man.

"Say Ur? How are we going to get the man down-" I began to question how we would bring the man down the mountain without killing him, but it seemed that Ur had a plan for that.

She waved her hand and summoned a slice of ice that cut right through the large chunk of ice the man was trapped in. This separated him from the much larger piece of the ice. Now we could at least drag or push the man where we needed him to go.

"Nice work there!" I grinned at Ur. Then I felt something strange in my tooth and frowned.

Ur noticed this. "Hmm? What's wrong Cade?" She asked.

"Oh it's nothing, just something stuck in my tooth. Must be a bit off the fruit I ate there." I spoke.

Me and Ur then pushed the frozen man down the mountain. We also had to make sure that he didn't accidentally slip and fall off the mountain, else he would die.

We passed by Ur's cabin, before we came back to the pathway that led down to the village. Around two hours later, we arrived back at the village where the mayor was waiting for us. I suppose he must have noticed the commotion up on the mountain and grew worried.

"Here you go!" I proclaimed, as I pushed the frozen man towards the mayor. "This is the person right here. Just call up the Rune Knights and he'll be arrested." I said, as I dusted my hands off my legs.

With that, the man was later handed into the Rune Knights, who arrived an hour after they were called. He was of course defrosted and warmed up a little before he was taken away.

With little no property damage I chose to not run away from the scene of the job, which was first for me. Honestly, I just wanted to see Ur off before I headed back to Magnolia.

When the mayor handed me the reward, I saw Ur not too far away from where I was. I thanked the mayor and headed over to see Ur before I left.

When I got to her, I noticed that she was frowning a little. "What's up Ur? I thought that you'd be happy after that job." I remarked.

Ur gave me a sad chuckle. "No I'm happy. It's just that I'll need to go for another job to see about getting some money." She frowned.

Ah yes. Due to the rules that the Magic Council enlisted years back, guild wizards have full right to take the full reward of a job over independent wizards.

I was never a fan of this though.

"Here. This should help." I said as I handed her the money from the job.

Ur gawked at me. "W-What!? But Cade this is over 500,000 jewels!" She exclaimed. "I can't take all this!"

"Sure you can. You can take and leave." I shrugged with a laid-back look and smile.

Ur just gave me a serious look. "Really I can't take all this. You need the money as well." She insisted.

"Actually I'm fine with money at the moment." I said with a shrug. "I only did this job to clear my head a little. The next few days will be… a bit scary for me, even though I'm confident about it."

Ur still looked hesitant to take the jewels. "Hey I owe you one. You saved my life back up on that mountain." I stated to her. "Well twice you saved me… but this is the best I can do now."

Ur gave me a sigh, before she brought the jewels back to herself. Then she gave me a small smile. "Thanks Cade." She thanked me. "So what was that thing that you were nervous about? That you had to clear you head by going on this job." She asked.

"Oh er… I was… going to ask out a girl that I liked." I replied shyly.

Ur looked excited to hear that. "Oooh, who's the lucky girl then!?" She asked with a sly smile.

"It's a friend of mine – well I hope that we'll be more than friends after I ask her. I've known her for quite a few years now. Though I only developed feelings for her not long ago." I replied.

I then felt a bit embarrassed as I felt like I may have said a bit much there. Ur did only ask who the girl was. Ur just gave me a cheerful look.

"Don't worry about it!" She assured me with a pat on my back. "I feel like you'd be good boyfriend material." She stated.

"How would you know?" I asked suddenly. Ur froze.

No… don't tell me…

A grin formed on my face.

"Ohhh, YOU'RE seeing someone aren't you?" I suggested.

Ur turned a bit red after hearing that. That seemed to confirm that possibility.

"So come on then? Who the lucky guy then?" I asked eagerly.

"I'm not dating anyone!" She declared.

'Well if that was the case, why did she turn red then hmm? Perhaps she has a crush?' I thought mischievously.

"Heh, well whoever it is, he's lucky to have someone like you. Or perhaps in the future he'll be lucky to have someone like you." I remarked as I raised an eyebrow at Ur in a humorous manner.

"Anyway, I've gotta go now." I said as I turned away from Ur. "Hope to see you again!" I shouted as I moved away from her and towards the train station.

"Goodbye Cade! Glad to have met you!" Ur cried as she waved me away.

As I smiled and walked back to the train station two things happened to me.

The first was that something was still stuck in my teeth. A bit of wiggling with my tongue was able to get it out. I then spat whatever part of the fruit it was into a mound of dirt nearby.

The second was that a strange feeling came over me as I left Ur. It was a feeling of… debt almost.

Ur had saved my life twice up on that mountain, and I had only repaid her once. Sure, I had been assisted some other times on jobs, but I had never been outright saved by someone that I may never see again. This caused a beholden like feeling in connection to me and Ur.

I had to repay that debt somehow. Someday I would. Maybe next month, or next year. I just felt like I had to do it. She had saved my life!

'Ur. If I ever find you again and you need help with something, then I'll gladly help you.' I decided, as I made my way back to Magnolia.

That's that chapter done! Do leave a review of your thoughts of it.

Here we got to see Ur fight and take the win against the opponent here. Originally I was planning to have Cade swap positions with Ur in this fight with him being the one to win, but I decided to change it up as we'll get to see Cade have dozens of more fights going forward in this story.

Also what did you think about the debt Cade owes Ur? What do you think that will result in going forward in the story?

Anyway, I had some fun writing this chapter, hope you all enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to seeing you in the next one!

theelderman5 - I can't exactly see how I've ruined the ideology here… but I thank you for your review, and I appreciate the compliment.

Zazerr55 - Thanks man. I have been waiting to throw in some more charcters from Canon that we know (some more are coming soon). 100 Year Quest somewhat frightens me in terms in incorporating it in this story, but I will do my best.

Ok time for the A/N…

The first thing I more want to address if anything, is whether this story will be getting a rewrite or not. I know I'm just one guy on a massive site like this, but I can't help but feel all writers do feel the itch to try their luck at rewriting a story when they feel more confident as a writer.

Currently, this story won't be getting a rewrite, as I really do want to try and finish this one before I'd even consider starting a rewrite. There are benefits to doing this, but I'd rather finish what I've got planned here for Cade.

Now onto the more… serious matter, I suppose. Technically it's two things that've caused me to make this decision.

This story will be taking a temporary hiatus.

I know many will be sad to hear that, but it took a lot for me to make this move here. Exams are coming up, and I have an conditional offer for a course that I reallllly want. Managing a story like this was something I thought I could manage… but I have to put my priorities straight. Also I've been writing this story for nearly a year straight… I need a break from Earthland…

Chapter 54 will be the final chapter before the hiatus begins. (Lets just say that's a chapter that I'm sure many of you have been looking forward to since chapter 4).

The other reason why I've halted this story for the time being is because… I want to write another story on here. You know how I said earlier that the itch to rewrite a story is powerful? Well the urge to write a new story altogether has overpowered that. Yeah, I did just say that Exams are coming up for me, I'm not going to be writing on here until like mid April, but I still want to try my hand at something new on here.

I'm going to writing about a much more popular genre in the anime community for this story, so here's hoping that'll turn out ok…

Alright, I've said all I need to hear. Next two chapters will the same as usual, but after that, this story is going on hiatus. It'll be well after Easter when I return here, so have a good one…? Do you guys celebrate Easter that much…? Ah, whatever.

Alright, take care you guys. NumeralFuture11, logging off.
