The Girl from the Moon
"Upon a moonlit night, a witch descends from the stars…"
It was over, she had won. Here she floated in the digital ocean of the Moon Cell's core. The Eye of God, ever observing of the Earth and every soul within it as information processed through the alien artifact with the girl floating in its core.
Victor of the Moon
The Final Master
Legacy of le Fay
Flamescion of Stars
Inheritor of Flames
Sovereign
Hakuno Kishinami had defeated her final foe, and by entering the Moon Cell's core did she make her wish. The cease of future Holy Grail Wars, and to use the unlimited resources to turn the Serial Phantasm, SERAPH into an environmental recreation of Earth as a final bastion for humanity to thrive in as NPCs and AI were permitted to obtain free will. Here, she floated as the system granted her wish, bestowing her the Regalia, the sign of her kingship over the Moon Cell and all its functions.
Danger: Velber influence in SERAPH still lingers.
Purge and seal off as many as possible.
Confirming…Threat level growing. Servants summoned to subdue infestation. Sending Sovereign to safe location until threat has passed.
What?
Exploring possibilities with Sovereign's Cypher power…
Confirmed Lostworld of none Velber influence.
Oh no…!
Recreating original human body for Mind and Soul to inhabit.
Wait! What about my Servants!?
Will hold off Velber with others. After threat has passed, be sent to retrieve Sovereign.
How will I defend myself then?!
Current abilities will be stronger in location and era.
That doesn't explain anythhhiiiiiiinnnnnnnnng!
In that instant, Hakuno Kishinami was gone, sent from her time and era to a world completely unfamiliar. But for one thing for sure, the once inexperienced Wizard [Spiritron Hacker] and rising witch, cursed the Moon Cell for screwing her over like this.
Opening her eyes, she was lying on her back in a forest. Not one underwater, but an actual living forest as the grass tickled her skin, the wind brushing against her hair as she stood while the wind rustled the leaves in the trees. This was real, the real world and not the cyberworld she was trapped in for so long.
She looked at the ring on her left ring finger, one made of white-gold and three colored gems and held within it an incredible power. The Regalia, the symbol of her Sovereignty of the Moon Cell Automaton as she desired to know what she had left after being sent here. The ring responded to its owner and a holographic screen appeared to display her inventory.
Gone. They were gone.
All the Mystic Codes she had collected over the time in the Moon's Holy Grail War were all gone. She had no money, no sweets or even…!
Wait.
There were two items listed here…a weapon and a book.
Morgan's Grimoire
Gekkō Ryūjin Muramasa.
The Grimoire...a gift from a witch to her descendant. She kept thoughts of it out as she heard the faint growls of a familiar beast inside the inventory as she looked at the weapon in particular.
The katana crafted by the smith Senji Muramasa himself with parts of a wyvern once dubbed the Queen of the Land. A collaboration item between two smithing groups of different cultures and otherworldly materials that bound the soul of the great queen within it as her companion. None but Hakuno herself was permitted to wield the blade. The weapon was with the body parts of the wyvern incorporated in it to utilize the poison within the creature's tail and claws, making it possible for any attack to inflict poison on its enemies.
But the metal used to make the blade itself was called Animanium, or commonly referred to as Soul Steel. She had no information on it, but it was an artificial material that used dark methods to make it and it had supernatural effects. Two of them she knew by heart. One was that the great wyvern, the Rathian, had its soul bound to the blade and refuses anyone to wield her except Hakuno, the second was that over time with each kill the weapon would grow in power and evolve.
The current golden scales of the sheath and guard of the weapon was the final form of its current evolutionary path. From forest green to cherry blossom pink to finally the colors of golden moonlight and had been her faithful companion during the incident that caused Velber influence to attack in the Holy Grail War.
The absurdity she went through that war was enough to want a break from anymore shenanigans the moon had brought her. When she put it like that, in a sense, she's free from any problems the Moon Cell would throw at her as this was pretty much her vacation before stepping back to the role of Sovereign.
As she mused what she should do now, she witnessed a falling star radiating power within it as it landed nearby. What caused her caution was that it did not leave an impact that should shake the ground and cause a possible fire. No, something descended from the sky, and it was alive. Desiring her blade, the Regalia summoned it for her as she carefully stalked the target.
It was a person, well a being in the shape of a person but even then, this figure gave off a familiar feeling. The figure was a girl, blue eyes, black hair, childish body and large breasts, she gave off an aura that was faint and reminded her of a few people. Gilgamesh, Karna, BB and her Sakura Five with that strange aura within them. Divinity. This person was some sort of being associated with the divine. Carefully, she approached the girl and she turned to her.
She spoke in a language like English, which Hakuno was familiar with due to the preliminaries having it as a class with Taiga-sensei and the fact she fought several people who naturally spoke the language.
"Oh! A human girl here? What brings you out here?" the girl asked. It confirmed it, this person in front of her wasn't human at all.
"I just got here myself actually and I'm kind of lost." Hakuno admitted, not feeling any urge to harm this person. She gave off the feeling of a hearth and homey room, comforting at a time when a long day's work is deserving of a relaxing time on the couch and look at the fire.
"Oh, I see then." The girl sighed as she smiled at the girl. "How about we go to Orario together then?" the girl suggested. Hakuno tilted her head in confusion and the girl did a double take. "C-cute~!" she had thought before recomposing herself.
"Orario?" Hakuno asked, clearly unsure where that is.
"It's the City of Adventure! A place where aspiring heroes traverse the Dungeon and become rich and famous for their deeds. I'm heading there to form my own Familia." The girl explained as she puffed her chest in pride.
Familia, a term to describe a household or religious community. But given she's sent to a world she has no idea of, the term may be different. "What's a Familia?" she asked, causing the girl to blink and put hands on her hips in bafflement.
"You don't know? It's akin to a household community lead by a god or goddess to help nurture and raise aspiring heroes to fame." The girl explained as she narrowed her eyes at Hakuno. "It's pretty well known down here, so a human child like you shouldn't be out of the dark with that kind of information."
Crap. This girl was a goddess, and she was suspicious of Hakuno already. Perhaps some truth would help with her. "…I'm not exactly from…wherever this place is. I was thrown here against my will, and I don't know where to go." She explained as best she can as the goddess looked at her before nodding her head in understanding.
She didn't know that the gods in this world can tell in an instant if she was lying or not, but thankfully the goddess saw only the truth in her words and was therefore lenient. But it did remind the goddess of something the other gods spoke of before she descended…
"I see…So you're not from this continent huh? There are rumors of a landmass on the other side of the sea that not even the gods above bother looking at. Perhaps you were brought here by accident by some wayward spell given your clothing is unfamiliar to me, and I've seen many fashion trends come and go in the countless eras gone by." The goddess gestured to her Tsukumihara Academy uniform as Hakuno nodded in agreement.
She wasn't going to drag this on with a goddess, and perhaps by sticking around with her she'll understand more of the world she's in. But then she realized something, why did this goddess descend? "Forgive me Goddess, but…what exactly brings you down here to form a Familia exactly?" she asked in a curious tone as the goddess smiled at the honest curiosity in Hakuno's eyes.
"Well…the first main reason is to prove I'm not a useless goddess. Because they mocked me and saying my domain is useless now, I came down here to prove them all wrong!" she exclaimed while glaring up at the sky with disdain before looking at Hakuno with a sheepish smile. "And I wanted to care for a family of sorts, since the people down below have forgotten what warmth, I had provided back in the darker times."
So, she's a goddess that had lost her role in the current world. Perhaps if she knew this deity's true name, she could decide. "I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Kishinami Hakuno." The Sovereign said with a polite bow as the goddess blinked and snap her fingers in realization.
"Ah, someone with the blood of the Far East. Well then, it's nice to meet you Hakuno, I'm Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth!" the goddess introduced herself with an equally polite bow of her head.
Part of Hakuno froze on the inside as she realized whom this goddess was. Her Servant Nero Claudius once explained the role of Hestia's Roman counterpart Vesta and their similar roles. She was the firstborn of the Olympians and the peacekeeper between her quarreling siblings and is loved by them in return. She even receives first and last offerings during mealtimes as tribute. Despite her minor role in tales, she's the most important goddess to keep the Greek and Roman communities together like family.
Here, in this world Hestia was looked down at and completely forgotten for her hidden but important role in two major cultures!
Part of Hakuno felt indignant at such treatment, recalling how the other Masters in the Holy Grail War looked down at her because of her inexperience as a magus unable to use the full strength of her Servant. But they learned to regret it once she was the last Master standing and winning the war herself. If anything, this goddess was not evil in nature and the more benevolent in her nature. The magus nodded her head in understanding of what she was going to do.
Remind the world how strong Hestia's influence was and how Family is the strongest thing there is. "Hestia-sama, are you looking for recruitment to your Familia now?" Hakuno asked politely as Hestia blinked at the question.
"Well…I was going to wait until I reach to Orario to start up my Familia, but are you interested?" she asked, a look of hope in her eyes as she said it. Hakuno took one of the goddess's hands and held it in her own two with a smile. "I am." She replied softly.
On that fateful night under the moonlight, a new Familia Myth was born.
