Tiamama on NA server when?!
A month and a few more days until Lostbelt 6 hits us NA Masters. I tried rolling for Miss Crane but failed. Gotta save up for Morgan at least. Bright side is that she'll have at least 3 banners this year alone if clairvoyance is accurate. But anyways, my boy Arthur Pendragon (Prototype) is close to 120! Once he's done, I'll work on Lancer Scathach since I have plenty of Servant coins from the Land of Shadows event banner. I'm unlikely to get Morgan NP 5 with my luck so far...but she deserves it. She deserves all the love and praise she rightfully deserves for all the hell those shitty fairies did to her. Summer Morgan when?!
Anyways, to fit in with the current story, I changed the cover art for Hakuno's 'Motivated' attire during the war with the Empire. It will return to default dress and veil version afterwards and will switch when Hakuno changes her attire in-story in the future so don't ask why I'm changing the cover art every now and then, 'kay?
Construction was going well, the church's foundations were neatly built and the slaves were eating their given rations. The Templar thought differently; there was a disgust for these people for not converting their faith to the Lord and the fact these Demi-Humans, abominations were allowed to live. If he had it his way, the Demi-Humans would be butchered like the animals they were and the humans go through rigorous discipline in becoming a lamb of the Holy Land. Fear, while powerful for motivation, was unproduction and against the teachings of God.
They had to want to worship Him if they wanted salvation. But these heretics prefer other gods, violent, savage pagan gods over the one true God. The Templar was very much tempted to burn these people for forsaking their true God over those false gods. Especially that Kishinami girl who dared claim that God was dead. That was blasphemy of the highest order and deserved a slow, painful death-!
The half-way constructed church was set ablaze and was falling apart. Soldiers were screaming as battle had begun right out of the blue as the slaves were missing. "How?" the Templar growled out, clenching his fist tightly as the metal in his armored hand groaned from the pressure he was emitting.
Then he saw her, not in a dress or veil, but in a long coat and with a scythe. His prey, Hakuno Kishinami, had come at last. Now the Templar can-! He paused as he noticed a spot of white walking beside her. White hair outside of the Empire was impossible, for it signified a direct descendant of Emperor Adam's lineage. Wait. There was one possible exception, a child of the Emperor's had run off long ago and was unheard of again for many years before the false gods descended. Can it be a lost descendant of the royal family here? It needed investigation. He'll secure the boy first as top priority. Capturing the witch has now become second priority.
A hail of light descended from the skies, wrecking devastation unto his army, the kind the Templar recognized as the fury of an angel.
Why? Why was an angel angry at them? This kind of insubordination would not go well with the council of the…!
three pairs of white wings, a white halo of blinding luminance, and the elegance and grace of a divine being. A Seraphim of high ranking had descended with a cold, stern expression. Seraphims were legendary amongst the cast of the Heavens. The Burning Ones, great four-headed dragon angels who praise their Creator while illuminating the Heavens with their very beings. Of course that was depictions of their true, alien appearance as all angels took on human forms to make human followers comfortable to converse with. There was a strict courtesy when in the presence of a great being such as this and the training was deeply ingrained upon the devoted soldier's own soul.
Despite his common sense telling not to do it, to carry out his mission, his devotion to his faith caused the Templar to kneel before the descending angel whose mere landing was soft without sound, causing a sense of discomfort to creep into the warrior.
"Funny." the angel spoke, voice devoid of emotion as he stared at the kneeling warrior as if looking at a funny statue. "I never thought that true believers of Father would break one of his Commandments so easily and say that their actions were in His name." those flawless lips turned into a frown. "Even I feel repulsed looking at you."
Commandments? Breaking of His words? The Templar did not move as the Seraphim gracefully walked towards him, ignoring the chaos and sounds of battle as none of those registered in the Templar's mind but the words the angel spoke of.
"Look at me. Speak." the angel told/ordered him as the helmed warrior looked at the Seraphim, seeing those cold eyes chill his soul with their piercing gaze. Judgment was upon him, and may God have mercy on his soul.
*Chaldea*
"What kind of person is Hakuno?" Ritsuka asked, causing the peculiar group of Servants she had contracted with to pause and look at each other, exchanging mutters and whispers before looking at their Master.
"Hakunon is…well she's a Secret Boss." Jinako admitted, looking a bit nervous and was slightly sweating as she was recalling something.
"A Secret Boss? More like a Hopeless Boss Battle!" Anderson interjected. "That girl was unusual even amongst Masters in our Holy Grail War! Her very existence is a rarity amongst even the Crypters with her potential as a magus and a Master. She'd have made Wodime run for his Saint Quartz if they fought in magecraft one-on-one, especially if he were to accidentally eat her sweets." he gave a pointed look towards a certain nun who puffed her cheeks indignantly.
"I paid her back for those!" Kiara responded with a glare before looking at Ritsuka and smiled. "She's a sweet girl, a dear little sister that is innocent and only wants simple things in life. But even then, she's akin to a rose with thorns. Better to have her a friend, than an enemy my dear. So if you want to prove you're sincere in becoming friends with her, always have sweets on you for that inevitable encounter." the nun explained with a cryptic warning and a giggle.
Ritsuka was starting to worry now, especially since it's fucking Kiara of all people warning her how dangerous this Master from a different parallel world was. She gave a look to Gawain and Karna and saw what they had to say.
Oddly enough, Gawain seemed to have…brotherly pride when he spoke? "She's a formidable battle-maiden, one of the best I've seen in an era when firearms had dominated the battlefield. She'd make a fine knight in my time and I was proud to help her fight a noble cause in the Moon Cell."
"He speaks the truth." Karna agreed, his expression the same stoic as before, but his eyes had a fond warmth in them when talking about a dear friend. "She goes out of her way in her free time to bond with me and Jinako over various things despite being polar opposites in nature. She made sure to give Jinako a wake-up roast when she was a Sentinel for BB."
"Hey, hey, hey! Don't remind me, Karna!" Jinako shouted, looking peeved by that incident. Then a stringent of rants from the NEET aimed at her former Servant was about.
On the end of the table, Francis Drake was drinking from her mug and had a rather happy, proud smile like any cool older sister would have. "I remember that little pipsqueak myself actually Master." the Rider commented with nostalgia in her tone. "She's like you at the start, inexperienced and clueless about the moonlit world. But she was quite resourceful in that deathmatch of a war we were in. From the way they're talking about her, she's made quite the improvement since the First Round. What I wouldn't give to fight the reborn Grey Ghost." the woman mused with a smirk.
Now Ritsuka was familiar with the story of the Moon Holy Grail War and felt a kinship to Hakuno with the fact they are both inexperienced mages. But it seems that in the face of conflicts and their own desires to live, they had to improve themselves in order to overcome the near-deaths they'd face in their own respective adventures.
"What made Hakuno dangerous? Is it because she's a descendant of Morgan le Fey?" Ritsuka had to ask before the table went silent and the other Servants were exchanging a silent conversation with each other. There was a tense atmosphere around them and Ritsuka was starting to sweat before Gawain spoke.
"Master, her lineage aside, she's dangerous because of her optimistic determination and adaptability." he told her with an awkward smile, one shared by most of the Servants as they were recalling something they'd rather not.
"...? Am I…missing some context here?" the Master of Chaldea asked as everyone looked away from her, which did raise suspicions for her as Ritsuka put her hands on her hips. "Well…I heard this Hakuno girl we're talking about is in this new Lostworld we've discovered and most likely to…!"
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" they all shouted in synch, blowing the Master backwards from the force of their shout as she fell on her back.
"You're asking for a death wish Fujimaru! If Lostbelt Morgan crushed you like that, imagine Hakuno just as bad, but also a Master with Servants with jacked up stats! It's a fucking funeral to fight her!" Anderson growled out. "Listen, this girl has fought Servants on her own to a standstill while inexperienced. She's most likely now a veteran after some time had pass, and it's reflected on how strong both Nero Cladius and Gilgamesh were when she won the Moon's Holy Grail War. Just how strong do you think she is now at her prime?" he demanded.
This conversation was sending alarms in the Master's head and she needed to divert this atmosphere with a question.
"Um…Merlin had suggested we'd parley with her and be allies. What's you're guys' take?" Ritsuka questioned.
Suddenly, everyone was sighing with relief. "Do it. Get the Secret Boss as our ally, better that than fighting her." Jinako slumped on the table.
"Do bring sweets with you when you are parlayed, it'd ease her mood a bit. Any small help is good enough!" Kiara insisted
"Be careful when it comes to anything involving Lucius, Master. She hates him quite a bit…which is an understatement given what he's attempted on her in the past." Gawain added in his own advice of trying to win Hakuno over. That suddenly made Ritsuka curious of what the Sword Emperor did to piss off Hakuno but decided to let skeletons lie in their closets.
"I'd like to have a drink with that girl once peace talks are done, hope you don't mind." Drake winked as she guzzled her beer like a champ.
So now Ritsuka was starting to understand something from all this. Hakuno Kishinami is close to par with Lostbelt Morgan in terms of raw power but not skill…yet-
The battlefield was littered with corpses, her blue coat dancing in the wind as her Familia gathered together as the moon was out and bright red.
-which makes the descendant of the Witch Queen…
Her scythe, Crimson Harvest had blood dripping from its blade before wiping it off and putting on a gentle smile for her loved ones.
-an absolute monster on the battlefield.
Overlooking the burning church and people below from the hills, the Horseman known as Conquest cupped their chin in thought. He knew for a fact the ones that felled War were here, and that they would trample unto the gates guarding Father's remains. They were becoming conquerors, and as a being built on that concept, must reward these conquerors with something to prove their might and righteousness against that of the Empire's.
He pulled out a metal bell, a Bell of Conquest and instructions of how to utilize the artifact. If they were to breach the gates, they need a key, a key only through improving this very bell can provide. Who will conquer this world and rule it as they deem fit, the Pagans and their numerous followers, or those of the faithful and devoted to Father? As one who rules over all conquests, the Horseman shall stand as jury over these newfound wars and witch trials.
Should they prove their worth, the Horseman shall challenge them in combat for the future of this world.
