Episode 85: Magical Awakening!

"So you think this Scarlet Witch your mother spoke of…is me?" Wanda looked at the image in the Darkhold again and snorted. "But where's your proof? I can't be the only Marémon Wielder with a Witchlet."

"Wikkids and Witchlets are dimensional beings that live in a constant state of existing and not existing," Agatha said. "They only become part of this world when a Witch is born with Chaos Magic, because they thrive on chaos in general. So naturally, they are attracted to those kinds of Witches becoming their familiars in the process. But since I've killed just about every Witch in the world, your Wikkid and Witchlet are the only ones left. Therefore, you are the Scarlet Witch because of how many Witches have died before you."

"Isn't that just a self-fulfilling prophecy then? Because you killed the other Witches," Wanda objected. "You didn't even know about me until I came back to Sokovia City."

"True, but the Scarlet Witch is said to have greater magical power than any other Chaos Magic Witch," Agnes argued. "Your Westview realm is proof of that power, and now I shall take it!"

Agnes then raised her left hand and a beam of purple energy shot from it hitting Wanda. She cried out in pain, feeling her skin become dry and wrinkled.

"Once I take your power, Scarlet Witch, I will live forever!" Agatha declared, laughing maniacally. "And as a bonus, I'll take the Reality Stone from your little Witchlet."

Raising one of the PDBs, Agatha brought Witchlet forth. Immediately, Witchlet saw Wanda's pained expression and used Hex Blast to make her children Wikkid and Spedfoal appear out of their PDBs. She then tried to attack Agatha directly, but the same magical bonds that held Wanda in place also froze Witchlet, Spedfoal, and Wikkid.

"Nice try, but when Magic Runes are placed in any given space the Witch who casted them has full control over the magic used in that space," Agatha said, pointing to the runes on the walls. "So that means I can choose whether I want another Witch's magic to function in this room or not, let alone their Magic-Type Marémon's attacks."

"Funny you say that," Wanda said, and held up her hands revealing them to be no longer magically bound. "I telepathically told Witchlet to use Hex Blast not just to free her kids, but also to free me and it looks like it worked."

Frowning, Agatha said, "You may be free, though you're not the one with the hostage Marémon. Follow me if you want to see them alive."

Agatha cackled and disappeared along with Wanda's Marémon. Wanda growled in frustration as red-colored energy radiated from her hands. It made the purple runes stop glowing, bathing the room in darkness. Then a series of knocks came from above, forcing Wanda to look around for stairs. Finding them, she went up without any kind of force stopping her.

"Remind me why we're doing this again," Felicia said after Peter knocked on the door to Agnes' house, which was right next to Wanda's. "Even if what Monica said about Agnes is true, and she is a Witch like Peter thinks, how are we supposed to fight her? None of us have Marémon that can deflect magic-based attacks."

"Monica insisted on trying to snap Thor and the others out of their brainwashed state at the carnival, since she absorbed the energy we took from Wanda when I touched her," MJ said. "But as soon as Monica gets them to their senses, she's going to bring them here to deal with Wanda and Agnes. So we're just stalling for time."

Felicia folded her arms. "Now the whole energy absorption thing bugs me. How could Monica's scrambled molecules have taken Wanda's energy and freed us from her control?"

"The way Monica explained it, she said her molecules absorbed energy from the Hex Barrier when she past through it twice which in turn caused her body to convert it into a power that could repel the barrier's energy," Peter said. "But since her human body couldn't maintain all that power at once, it spread out to anything she touched including MJ's hand. So when MJ touched Wanda, Monica's molecules reacted negatively to Wanda's energy since it was the same as the barrier creating a discharge that broke Wanda's control over MJ specifically. Then that same discharge affected Felicia and I after MJ touched us."

"What about the bonds placed on her and Darcy by Director Hayward?" Felicia asked. " How did she make them disappear?"

"She must've redirected the barrier energy she absorbed onto the bonds, which made them disappear from their conflicting realities," Peter guessed.

Before Felicia could comment, the door to Agnes' house opened. To MJ, Peter, and Felicia's surprise, the person standing on the other side was Wanda. She had unusually sunken eyes and wrinkled hands.

"Did any of you see Agatha?" Wanda demanded.

"Agatha? You mean Agnes?" Peter asked, trying to sound casual.

"Yes, I mean Agnes," Wanda confirmed. "Her real name is Agatha. She's an immortal Witch and she took my Marémon."

"No, we haven't seen her," MJ said, looking at Wanda with great concern. "But what happened to you?"

"Enough with the nice girl act!" Wanda snapped. "I know you three have only been pretending to be under my control."

Felicia became nervous. "W-What gave you that idea?"

"Since MJ touched me, I've become consciously aware of what I did to the people here," Wanda said. "And I promise to make things right once Agatha has been dealt with."

Then to Peter and the girls' surprise, Wanda's hands glowed red and she flew off into the sky.

"Did she just…use magic?" Felicia blinked, not believing what she saw.

A white glint caught Peter's attention, causing him to look toward the library building down the block. What he saw made him turn to MJ and Felicia.

"Guys, I think that white version of Vistro that Monica mentioned is here and he's attacking Wanda's Vistro," Peter said.
