Kanto Gets Loud
Chapter 94: The Flame Pokemon-athon!
The next morning, the Reynolds House,
Lisa was most annoyed. It took quite a bit to annoy her. Mainly from her siblings asking for her help with some situations, like their homework, or regarding whether something was edible or not. Ok, so that last one was more a Lana thing, but the fact still stands. But now, the source of her annoyance was sitting across from her at the kitchen table, in the form of some scientists from a local research lab. The reason for their visit? They wanted access to the data on Pokemon that Lincoln and the others had been sending from Kanto, as well as all the research Lisa had conducted on the Pokemon Lincoln's been sending over, for research, "It's a simple request, young lady. We just need access to the data on those mysterious creatures so that we can attempt to uncover their secrets. And with any luck, we might be able to go and perform actual field studies of our own," one of the scientists requested respectfully.
"Even if you were to make like, a copy of the research, that would be more than enough," another scientist added.
"Of course, we would also like to see those creatures for ourselves too," a third scientist added, only to get elbowed by the second.
"All very interesting points you've been making. However, there are some key points you're missing, that would make me unable to grant your requests to an extent," Lisa replied.
"And what might that be?" the first scientist asked.
"For starters, the research I've been conducting has been my own. I know that there are some scientists in your organization that would attempt to pass it off as their own," Lisa replied.
"I can assure you that won't happen. You'll get full credit for your findings," the first scientist replied.
"Perhaps, but I'm still wary of trusting your research team. Which brings me to my second point, which is more of a two-parter. One: It is true that my brother does periodically send over a good number of Pokemon he's caught whilst in Kanto, but that only happens on HIS time. I have no means of accessing his reserves, and even if I did, I would still need his permission to take them out. As you've probably heard, our family got into some hot water with the law where Lincoln was involved. I'm one of many who's still trying to earn back his trust as it is. And for the second part, he made me promise NOT to do any sort of physical experiments on his Pokemon, meaning no dissection or anything of the sort," Lisa explained.
"All good points. But you must understand, this could potentially benefit not only your family, but ALL of America as well, maybe even the world, especially if they were to come to know of such wonderous creatures living out there," the first scientist said, trying to coax Lisa into their way of thinking.
"Another good point you've made, but I must address on more fault in that sort of statement. I attempted to look up what Pokemon were when Lincoln was first sent out to Kanto, but I was blocked from those servers. This goes to show that the US Government, and possibly ALL governments know about the various regions, and are trying to keep them secret for good reason. In any case, I remain anchored to my refusal. I'm NOT giving over any of my research, and that's final," Lisa said firmly. The scientists didn't seem too keen on being denied like that.
"Have it your way, Lisa," the first scientist said, as she and her colleagues got up to exit the house. Rita peeked in from the living room.
"Were those colleagues of yours, Lisa?" she asked.
"Afraid not, mother unit. They were just some scientists wanting to get their hands on the valuable research that I've been compiling on the Pokemon Lincoln's been sending over. But their organization is a shifty sort," Lisa replied.
"Hmm, definitely a good thing to reject them. I'd rather you and your siblings NOT get mixed up with anyone or anything shady," Rita mused.
"And we know NOT to get mixed up with that sort of company," Lisa replied, just as Luan came in.
"Speaking of Lincoln, how do you think he's going to do in his next Gym Battle?" she questioned.
"Let see, when he called yesterday morning, it was nighttime, which means last night, when it was daytime over in Kanto, he was doing that Safari Zone with Lilliana and the others. By now, it must be nighttime there. So maybe later tonight he'll have his battle," Lisa replied, trying to explain the time zone differences.
"Yeesh, time zones are WAY too confusing," Luan commented, processing what Lisa had just said.
"They tend to be, especially since we don't normally pay attention to them," Rita replied, as they dispersed.
Meanwhile, back at the Fuchsia City Pokemon Center, late afternoon, early evening,
Just outside the Pokemon Center, Lincoln and friends had exited out through a portal leading from the Battle Chateau, "Alright, that should do it!" Lincoln exclaimed. After completing his biggest session of Wonder Trading yet, Lincoln, along with Brock and Misty, went to the Battle Chateau to train with their new Pokemon. Things went by WAY more smoothly than one would expect. For starters, along with raking in some more cash for his date later tonight, most of his new Pokemon leveled up extremely fast, allowing a few of them to evolve during the training session.
Grubbin was the first of three of Lincoln's new Pokemon to evolve. It had become a somewhat larger, green, rectangular prism-shaped grubworm Pokemon that looked almost like a battery. Dexter said it was a Pokemon called "Charjabug".
The next of Lincoln's Pokemon to evolved was Honedge, which had become a pair of twin swords with magenta-colored ribbons. Dexter said this evolved form of Honedge was called "Doublade."
The last one to evolve was Electrike, who became a blue dog like Pokemon with yellow fur sticking up around its head. This Pokemon was called "Manectric", according to Dexter.
He also saw fit to train up all of his other Pokemon as well, raising their levels by leaps and bounds. He would've gotten more training in for Golett, Nincada, Hippopotas, Gothorita, Toxel, and Meloetta, but he knew he had to get ready for his date with Loona and Gwendolyn, so he opted to wait on training them. But in Meloetta's case, he figured it would be best to keep her out of sight from others, since he couldn't tell if or when Team Rocket would appear and try to take her away from him.
And while he was training his Pokemon, he also gave some of them nicknames as well. He named his Gengar "Orion", given how its species is known for stalking its prey like a hunter.
He named Lucario "Ryu" after one of the main characters from the Street Fighter series of games, Mienfoo "Chun-Li" from the same game, and given that Mienfoo was a Martial Arts Pokemon, and Mawile "Juri" also from the same game, and given that both Mawile and Juri were cute, but also potentially deadly underneath it all.
He named Tyrantrum "Grimlock" after the T-Rex Dinobot from Transformers, Doublade, he named "Excalibur" upon learning about Doublade's final evolved form and how it judges people's worthiness to become king, Turtonator was named "Bowser" after a certain fire breathing turtle from a popular video game franchise. He named Heracross after "Hercules", for obvious reasons, and lastly Lopunny, he named "Jessica" after the sexy cartoon character Jessica Rabbit.
One Pokemon he was grateful for bonding easily with was Tauros, who was still pretty annoyed with having been captured and made a follower, but was relieved to get away from its herd, as the herd it led was a bit too rowdy for it to handle with ease.
That wasn't to say that Brock and Misty didn't get in some decent training themselves. They also managed to evolve their new Wonder Trade Pokemon, as well as some of their previously caught ones. In Misty's cast, she was able to evolve her Prinplup into a tall penguin Pokemon with what appeared to be a crown shaped beak, which formed a mask over its face. This Pokemon was Empoleon. Her Skrelp also evolved into a massive seahorse like Pokemon that looked be made of rotten kelp called "Dragalge". Her Wartortle also evolved into a Blastoise, Omanyte into Omastar, Snubbull evolved into a large, pale purple bulldog Pokemon with long tusk like growths called "Granbull", Skiddo became a larger, mountain goat Pokemon with longer horns called "Gogoat", and her Spheal first evolved into a Pokemon called Sealeo, then into a large, blue walrus Pokemon with long tusks called "Walrein."
As for Brock, he managed to level up his Pokemon too, as well as getting his new Wonder Traded Pokemon to evolve. Sizzlepede became a longer, centipede like Pokemon with what looked like a flaming moustache called "Centiskorch", Silicobra evolved into tan serpent Pokemon with its body coiled up with a large sand pouch around its neck called "Sandaconda", Cutiefly evolved into a little bug Pokemon that looked more like a fairy and looked to be wearing a brown scarf around its neck called "Ribombee". The last Pokemon he evolved was his Shieldon, which became much more massive, and its face grew broader and squarer shaped. This was called "Bastiodon."
"Not a bad training session, if I do say so myself," Misty commented.
"And we're bound to be more ready for when Team Rocket attacks again," Brock added.
"That's right. I just hope that when they DO get taken down for good, it'll be soon," Lincoln commented.
"We all do, Lincoln," Misty replied, as they entered the Pokemon Center, where they saw a flier on the bulletin board for some kind of race, "Hmm? What's this?"
COME ONE, COME ALL, TO THE FUCHSIA CITY ANNUAL POKEMON RACE
HOSTED BY THE LARAMIE CLAN!
WINNER IS WELCOMED AS AN HONORARY MEMBER OF THE LARAMIE FAMILY, AND CAN
POTENTIALLY HAVE THE CHANCE TO CATCH A SINGLE POKEMON RAISED ON THE BIG P RANCH
ALL ARE WELCOME TO ENTER. THE ONLY REQUIREMENT IS THAT THE POKEMON YOU ENTER
MUST NOT BE ABLE TO FLY.
REGISTRATION IS OPEN. COME TO THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS NEAR THE BIG P RANCH TO ENTER
"Oh, I've heard of this!" Misty exclaimed.
"What is it, exactly?" Lincoln asked.
"It's a big race held in Fuchsia City each year, hosted by the Laramie Family of the Big P Pokemon Ranch," Brock explained.
"Ok, so what exactly is the Big P Pokemon Ranch?" Lincoln asked.
"It's one of the many Pokemon Reserves around Fuchsia City, where Pokemon are raised naturally in the wild. Breeders love Big-P Pokemon, because of this, and they're a little stronger than others of their species. Trainers are lucky if they're allowed to catch a Big-P Pokemon," Brock explained.
"Huh… Maybe we should check it out after my Gym Battle?" Lincoln suggested.
"Well, if we do decide to go, it'll have to be in the morning. It says here that the race starts at 10 o'clock," Misty said, examining the poster.
"If that's the case, then I'll have Aunt Aya escort you all there after your race," the voice of Janine said, as she appeared from behind a camouflage tarp up against a wall.
"Wait, you'd do that for us? Also, how long have you been standing there?" Lincoln asked.
"Never mind that second question. But as for your first question, while I do welcome all challengers to my gym, I also encourage them to partake in whatever Fuchsia City has to offer," Janine replied.
"Huh, so after we check out the rest, we'll be good to go for our Gym Battle?" Lincoln asked.
"As I said, you're more than welcome to come and try your luck," Janine replied, as she exited the Pokemon Center.
"Well, that's convenient," Misty commented.
"I'll say. Well, I'd better go get ready for when Loona and Gwen come over," Lincoln said, as he went back to the room they were sharing.
Meanwhile, in the Von Throne Palace, Monster Realm,
"… I see, so you and the others weren't able to sense anything about the boy that would indicate him becoming a Demon Lord?" Wolfgang asked Gilda, as they sat at a table, enjoying their dinner of a freshly caught monster moose.
"Not a trace of it. He seemed like just a regular human boy," Gilda replied.
"Hmm, it was probably just Stella being paranoid again. After all, the likelihood of a new Demon Lord arising after so many centuries is at the lowest possible minimum," Wolfgang replied, just as Loona came in, wearing a nice red dress. She was accompanied by Blitz, who was in his regular attire.
"Oh, look at you, Loona! Already for your date?" Gilda asked.
"Yeah. I just hope things don't go too far south. I'm a complete mess with things like this," Loona replied.
"It'll be alright, Loona. Lincoln seems like a respectable young man. I'm sure he'll treat you and Gwendolyn right," Gilda reassured.
"He had BETTER treat you right!" Wolfgang growled.
"Wolfgang, hush!" Gilda scolded, getting her husband to quiet down, "Just try to have fun on your date, Loona."
"I will, Mom," Loona replied.
"And you can count on me to keep an eye on her," Blitz added, just as the ring on Loona's arm began glowing.
"Well, I was wondering when he was going to call," she commented, as she rubbed her ring.
"Hello? Loona? Gwen? Are you both there?" Lincoln asked.
"Yeah, we're here, and I'm ready to go. And Blitz is coming too as a chaperone, as well as to discuss the plans for the Kovaks," Loona replied, adding a tone of annoyance with that last comment.
"I'm ready for our date too," Gwendolyn stated.
"Alright, I'm opening the portal now," Lincoln said, as a portal appeared before Loona and Blitz. They saw Gwendolyn passing through.
"Alright, I'm off," Loona said, as she and Blitz passed through, leading them to just outside of the Fuchsia City Pokemon Center.
"You both ready for a night out?" Lincoln asked.
"We are. So, what have you planned for us?" Gwendolyn asked.
"Well, since we're all just starting out dating, something nice and easy is always best. I figured dinner at a nice restaurant followed by some window shopping would work. Of course, that's just the initial plan; If you both see something that catches your eye that you want to do, then don't hesitate to speak up," Lincoln replied.
"Sounds like a plan. So, where are you taking us to eat?" Loona asked.
"Well, when I asked Nurse Joy about good places for a first date, she pointed out one restraunt that's great for first dates. Trust me, the two of you are bound to love it," Lincoln said, as they began walking.
"Ok, so if you won't tell us about this restraunt, can you at least tell us a little bit about this town?" Blitz asked.
"Well, you probably heard from the girl's mothers about the Safari Zone and the Pokemon Reserves around the outskirts of the town. This town has several stores involving those places, mostly photography gear. Of course, that's not to say that there's no shortage of other stores. There are fashion boutiques, knickknack stores, and plenty of other stuff as well," Lincoln explained.
"You been to one of those Reserves yet?" Gwendolyn asked.
"Not yet. We're planning to check out one of the more famous ones tomorrow before my Gym Battle, mainly because of a race that they're holding," Lincoln replied.
"You going to enter or just spectating?" Loona asked.
"More than likely we're just going to watch. We never really discussed anything about entering ourselves," Lincoln replied.
"Well, either way you do it, it'll still be a good experience," Gwendolyn replied, just as some guy came running past them, riding on a Dodrio.
"Ehehehehe! Out o' my way!" he yelled, racing onward.
"What an asshole!" Blitz commented.
"Best to steer clear of guys like him," Lincoln commented. Soon, they arrived at the restraunt Lincoln was talking about, which appeared to be a high-class steakhouse.
"Lincoln, is this a steakhouse?!" Loona exclaimed in shock.
"Yep. I thought the two of you might like something substantial for a first date," Lincoln replied feebly.
"W-Well, we're not opposed to it, but don't you know that steakhouses are REALLY expensive?" Gwendolyn asked, worried that Lincoln might go broke because of them.
"I understand that. Fortunately, before our date, I went to the Battle Chateau to grind for cash, and I was able to rake in quite a bit too, so you two needn't worry about a thing. I can afford our meals, easily," Lincoln reassured, causing both monster girls to relent.
"Well, alright, but this had better not be a thing with any of us, alright?" Loona replied, sounding stern, but fair.
"I'll try not to do this sort of thing too much with any of you girls," Lincoln replied, as they entered the steakhouse. Inside, they saw it was a very fancy Japanese style steakhouse, complete with a rock waterfall fountain, rock garden, and a pool filled with lotus flowers.
"Whoa, alright, now THIS is style!" Blitz exclaimed, sounding quite impressed with the décor. A waiter came up to them.
"Hello there. Table for four?" he asked.
"Yes, that's right," Lincoln replied.
"Very good. Follow me," the waiter requested, leading them through the restraunt. Along the way, Loona, Gwendolyn, and Blitz noticed they were getting stares from the other patrons, "It's a distinct honor to have Cultural Exchange Students such as the two of you choosing to dine in our fine establishment."
"Well, it is true that these two are somewhat of a part in the Exchange Program, they're not actually students. They're among a select few monsters who are given special permission to temporarily cross over into the Human Realm for dates with this guy. And I'm here acting as a sort of chaperone for them," Blitz clarified.
"Well, either way, it's still an honor to have you here," the waiter said, leading them to a table, "And here are your menus. I'll be back in a little bit for your orders," he said, as he walked off, leaving them to look over the menus.
"Man, everything looks good," Lincoln commented. Gwendolyn was the first to raise a question.
"Lincoln, based on the fact that this steakhouse is in an area where regular animals aren't found, does that mean humans eat Pokemon?" she asked.
"I learned that fact early on in my days here in Kanto. There are some Pokemon whose body parts, such as a certain crab like Pokemon's claws are favored as a delicacy by many people. So, I would say that is the case. But they're most likely only made into food the same way regular animals are; whenever they're no longer able to produce stuff like eggs or milk," Lincoln replied.
"Yeesh… well, that does sound like nature at its most raw," Blitz commented, mulling over the menu, "Hmm, this Clauncher Tall Pasta sounds fairly appealing."
"I think this Sirloin sounds up my alley," Loona commented.
"I think I'll go for a Fillet Mingon," Gwendolyn added.
"As for me, a regular T-Bone should do. Now, do we want to do water all around, or is there something else you guys see?" Lincoln asked.
"Eh, water should be more than plenty," Loona replied.
"Same for me," Gwendolyn replied. Truthfully, neither girl wanted Lincoln to spend any more money treating them to dinner than he had to.
"Not too sure about some of these drinks, so I think just plain water will do for me," Blitz added.
"Alright, so four waters all around," Lincoln replied, just as the waiter came back.
"Are you fine folks ready to order, or do you need some more time?" he asked.
"No, I think we're ready," Lincoln replied, as the waiter got out his pen and notepad, "Ok, she'll be having the sirloin, she'll have the Fillet Mignon, he'll have the Clauncher Tall Pasta, and I'll have a T-Bone. And water all around," Lincoln said. The waiter took this all down.
"Alright. I'll be back with your orders," the waiter said, leaving them alone.
"Alright, now that we've got our orders taken care of, you ready to discuss the terms of the Kovaks training?" Blitz asked.
"Yes but try to go slow for me. This sort of thing might go over my head," Lincoln requested.
"Not to worry, I'll try to keep it simple. Anyhow, for a basic training program, it's about 200 Monster Bucks per student. The program itself will cover basics, such as karate, kenpo, jiujitsu, judo, and weapons handling, basically bodyguard training," Blitz explained.
"Alright, that sounds do able. I still have the card that Lucius gave me from the last time I was in the Monster Realm, so I can make the payment," Lincoln replied.
"Good. I've got the paperwork here. Just fill out your information, and we'll be good to go," Blitz said, pulling out an application form, and slid it and a pen up to Lincoln, who then began filling out the form.
"Alright, I think I got everything filled out," Lincoln said, giving Blitz the pen and paper back. The tall imp looked over the form and nodded approvingly.
"Yep, that should do it. We'll get started on training those dog babes as soon as we can," Blitz said, stashing the form in his jacket.
"Speaking of which, how are the Kovaks doing?" Lincoln asked.
"They're adjusting very well to the Monster Realm. Though they've mostly been living with Verosika and her mom, learning all the seduction techniques and poses that succubi are known for," Gwendolyn replied.
"Though given how much they're so fond of you, it's only natural. But enough about business. Lets talk about us," Loona said, wanting to get this date back to being focused on the three of them.
"Ah, right! Well, I would like to hear about where you both grew up in the Monster Realm," Lincoln replied.
"Well, let me tell you, the Beastman Homeland of the Monster Realm isn't an easy place to grow up in. It's a harsh, unforgiving landscape where the law is survival of the fittest, especially for predatory monsters like myself," Loona explained.
"Sounds rough," Lincoln commented.
"It is. Fortunately, not all the food we eat must be whatever we hunt down. We can head to a large city, like where you were when you took down Valentino, to do some serious shopping for stuff like groceries, clothing, and other necessities. Of course, my parents wanted me to know HOW to hunt for food if I needed to and would often have me as a part of a hunting pack to take down large game like Bull-Mooses or Elk-Hogs. Either way, I was trained to hunt until it became second nature for me," Loona replied.
"I see. And what about you, Gwen?" Lincoln asked the Arachne.
"Well, we Arachne mostly live inside of dark caves or dense forests, using our webbing to trap whatever prey that comes our way. They can be Bull-Mooses or Elk-Hogs, like what Loona said, or other type of game. And much like how Loona was taught how to hunt, I was taught how to make snare traps and netting with my thread. Though I hardly ever go out to trap my food. Mom usually has groceries brought in from the city to keep us fed, which gives me more time to focus on weaving clothes and other stuff using my threads," Gwendolyn explained.
"So, what exactly do your diets mainly consist of?" Lincoln asked.
"Meat. Canine Beastmen like myself adore meat. Of course, that's not to say we won't eat our greens either," Loona replied.
"The same goes for me and the rest of my kind," Gwendolyn added.
"But enough about us for now. Tell us more about you, Lincoln," Loona requested.
"Well, you know the majority about me from your interactions with my family, including how I wound up in Kanto in the first place. My hobbies mostly consist of reading comics and manga, watching anime, playing video games, building model ships, and hanging out at the local arcade back home," Lincoln explained.
"Any particular genres of comics, manga and anime you like?" Loona asked.
"Mostly action and sci-fi. Of course, that's not to say I won't touch on slice of life and romcom," Lincoln replied, just as their food arrived.
"Alright, the Clauncher Tall Pasta for you, the Fillet Mignon for you, the Sirloin for you, and the T-Bone for you, and four glasses of water. Please enjoy," the waiter said, distributing each dish to the four of them. Loona didn't waste a second snapping pictures of each dish with her phone.
"These steaks are huge!" Gwendolyn exclaimed. And she wasn't kidding. Both Lincoln and Loona's steaks were large enough to cover at least 75-80% of the plates they were on, leaving a little room for the sides that came with them, which consisted of baked potatoes and sauteed carrots and green beans. And as far as thickness went, all three steaks were about as thick as a school textbook.
"Holy shit! Think you kids are going to be able to finish those suckers?" Blitz questioned.
"If we don't, I'm sure they'll give us some to-go boxes," Lincoln replied, as they dug right into their meals.
"Delicious! This steak has to be, like, super high quality! And it's cooked perfectly!" Loona commented, savoring every bite of her steak.
"I don't normally eat seafood, but this pasta is great!" Blitz commented. In the end, all four of them were able to finish everything on their plates, and continued with exploring Fuchsia City, taking in some sights, like a Pokemon Zoo that was just a little way away from the Safari Zone Entrance, which appeared to be a part of some kind of festival that was being held.
"Guess they weren't kidding when they said they hold a party the night before the race," Lincoln commented.
"What sort of Race are you talking about?" Blitz asked.
"A big Pokemon Race held by a local family of breeders who are the owners of one of the many Pokemon Reserves around the city. Winner is welcomed as an honorary member of that family, as well as being allowed to catch one of the Pokemon that's raised on their Reserve," Lincoln replied.
"Sounds like they must take things pretty seriously," Loona commented.
"That we do, lil' lady," a teen girl said, as she walked up to them. She had blue hair, and wore a green t-shirt and shorts, "Mah family takes pride in the Pokemon we raise naturally in the wild. Of course, the winners of the race don't always get the chance to catch one o' our Pokemon, but it's still fun."
"I take it your one of the Laramie Family?" Lincoln asked.
"That's right. Lara Laramie," the girl replied, introducing herself, before recognizing Lincoln, "Hey, ain't you that Lincoln kid that's been the talk of Kanto?"
"Well, my name is Lincoln Loud, but I wouldn't exactly say I'm the talk of Kanto," Lincoln awkwardly replied.
"Ah just knew it was you! Ah've seen most of your battles and Contests on TV!" Lara exclaimed. Just then, the guy that was riding on the Dodrio from before came rushing in.
"Lara! Your Tauros are running wild! They're liable to break through your fence!" he said.
"What?! Ponyta!" Lara whistled, just as a Kantonian Ponyta came galloping in, and towards where a herd of Tauros seemed to be rampaging, like something was frightening them.
"I take it those are the Tauros Pokemon that Mom told us about?" Loona asked.
"Yeah, but it's weird for them to just get riled up like that," Lincoln commented, as Lara had a Growlithe get the Tauros under control with a Roar attack.
"Well, something sure must've spooked them," Blitz commented, just as a shadow raced paced Ponyta, causing it to panic and knock Lara off its back. Lara landed hard on her elbow.
"Gah!" she yelled in pain, getting the attention of several other people.
"Lara, you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, I… ahh!" Lara yelped in pain as she tried moving her arm.
"Don't try and move your arm!"
"That looks like a pretty nasty sprain!"
Ponyta kept on whinnying, until Loona jumped in and took its reigns, "Whoa there, little guy! Take it easy!" she said, trying to get Ponyta to calm down, just as the others arrived.
"Hang on, I have some threads you can use for a splint," Gwendolyn said, handing one of the other ranchers a loop of threads.
"Thank you kindly."
"And I'll help out too," Lincoln said, as he released his Galarian Ponyta.
"Whoa, is that a Galarian Ponyta?" Lara asked.
"That's right. Ponyta, can you use Heal Pulse on Lara's arm?" Lincoln asked.
"Just leave it to me," Lincoln's Ponyta said, as it began using Heal Pulse on Lara's arm.
"Will this really work on a human injury?" Blitz asked.
"Oh yeah. A friend of mine got banged up pretty bad when I first met him, but he's going through similar treatment with Heal Pulse to get back to full health," Lincoln replied, as Ponyta finished using Heal Pulse.
"I couldn't heal it completely, but it should be enough. Though I would recommend that she not use that arm too much," Lincoln's Ponyta stated.
"Ok, thanks Ponyta," Lincoln replied, recalling the Unique Horn Pokemon, "Ponyta said that she couldn't heal your sprain completely, so you shouldn't try to use that arm of yours too much."
"Ah understand. It's just so frustrating that I won't be able to race tomorrow. Ah feel like ah can't even grip the reigns on Ponyta properly," Lara said, before remembering her own Ponyta, and looked to see that Loona managed to calm it down, gently caressing the Fire Horse Pokemon, "Amazing! Ponyta only ever lets those it truly trusts pet it!"
"Well, I've got the Animal Kinship Skill, which allows me to easily bond with any animal I come across," Loona replied, just as some of the ranchers used the thread Gwendolyn gave them to put a splint on Lara's arm.
"And it also helps that I personally taught Loona how to handle horses," Blitz stated with pride. Loona only rolled her eyes.
"If Ah can be so bold as to ask, but could you ride Ponyta for tomorrow's race?" Lara asked, shocking everyone there.
"Wait, what?! You want ME to ride your Ponyta?" Loona asked.
"That's right. Ponyta's already entered in the race, and it would bring shame upon the Laramie Family name if Ah were to just pull it out this late," Lara replied.
"But is it really ok for Loona to enter? I mean, will the race officials even allow her to enter?" Gwendolyn asked.
"You forget, mah family are the officials of the race, and mah Pa can allow it if I appeal to him," Lara replied, turning back to Loona, "So please, can you try to enter with Ponyta?" Loona didn't know what to say. Supporting her fiancé in his endeavors in Kanto was one thing, but entering a contest like this seemed like a lot of pressure.
"If it'll help, I can enter alongside my own Ponyta, that way, you aren't alone," Lincoln said, trying to reassure the Hellhound teen.
"I'll check with Wolfgang right quick before we make any sudden decisions," Blitz said, pulling out his phone and calling Wolfgang.
"Well, if Dad gives the ok, then I guess I'll do it," Loona relented.
"Great! When does registration open/close?" Lincoln asked.
"Registration is open until 10 tomorrow mornin'," Lara replied, just as Blitz came back.
"Alright, Wolfgang has given his ok, so you're good to go, Loony!" Blitz said, causing Loona to growl in embarrassment from that nickname.
"Great! So, are you good with riding horses?" Lincoln asked.
"Yeah. Blitz also showed me how to ride horses and how to keep them from going wild," Loona replied, looking into Ponyta's eyes, who also stared back at the hellhound.
Later that night, back at the Pokemon Center,
After finishing up their date, Lincoln, Blitz and the girls found themselves back at the Pokemon Center, "Ok, apart from that mess at that ranch, tonight was a fun night," Loona commented.
"I quite enjoyed myself too," Gwendolyn added.
"I'm glad to hear that. Hopefully, the next time I take the two of you out on dates will be just as fun as tonight was," Lincoln stated.
"Yeah, well, I'd better get these two back home. But we'll be sure to come by tomorrow for the race," Blitz said.
"Thanks," Lincoln said, as he opened the portal leading back to the Monster Realm, "Take care heading home!"
"We will. See you tomorrow," Loona said, as she, Gwendolyn and Blitz passed through. Once they were through, Lincoln closed up the portal and sighed as he went back into the Pokemon Center.
"Tomorrow is going to be a long day," he said, as he made his way to the room he and his friends were sharing for their stay in Fuchsia City. Upon entering, he was met with the sight of Misty, once again changing into her pajamas, only this time, she wasn't wearing her bra. Both she and Lincoln stared at one another before the realization kicked in, "Oh god Misty, I am so…!" Lincoln was about to shut the door to give Misty some privacy, but was cut off when she dragged him back in, and slammed the door behind him.
"This is the second time you've seen me in my underwear, Lincoln! You should at least try and take SOME responsibility!" Misty said, wrapping her arms around Lincoln's shoulders, pressing her bare boobs against his chest.
"A-A-And what sort of 'r-r-responsibility' did you have in mind?" Lincoln shakily questioned. Misty didn't answer, but merely pulled him in for a passionate kiss.
"THAT kind of responsibility! A girl like me likes to feel she's beautiful! So, are you going to take responsibility now?" Misty asked, looking at him in an aggressively passionate manner.
"Oh, I will do that!" Lincoln said, as he lifted Misty up and threw her on the bed and pinned her down before kissing her once again. Both breathed feverishly as they savored their kiss. Lincoln then worked his hand onto Misty's right boob, causing her to gasp in shock, but didn't try to fight it, instead welcoming this sensation. They broke away momentarily to catch their breaths, before Lincoln asked, "So, where's Brock?"
"He went to the bathhouse shortly before you came barging in, so we have plenty of time to cement our relationship," Misty said, as she forced Lincoln down onto the bed, and began kissing him again. Lincoln, sensing a great opportunity to tease Misty a bit, snaked his hands down her perky frame, pulling down her panties, "Naughty, naughty, Lincoln!" she giggled in a perverted manner.
"Says the girl who force me into a kiss upon coming back," Lincoln replied, before delivering a hard spank to Misty's bubble butt, causing her to cry out in delight.
"Spank me again!" Misty demanded, which Lincoln was more than happy to oblige, spanking her more and more. Unbeknownst to either of them, Pikachu was up above in the upper bunks, looking down at the scene before him with an amused, perverted grin.
"Damn, Lincoln's not holding back with her!" he said quietly, as not to disturb them.
"I will admit, Misty, from the first day we were officially introduced, you had a pretty nice ass. So perfectly round and plump," Lincoln complimented.
"That sort of flattery will get you places, but not until we're a bit older," Misty said, as she and Lincoln got back up to sit on the bed properly.
"Yeah, because I would rather NOT face my Mom's wrath if she found out I got 'with' a girl," Lincoln replied.
"Nor would I with my Mom. But we've got some years ahead of us before that happens," Misty replied, as she sat on Lincoln's lap.
"True, but there is something I doubt I can wait that long for," Lincoln said, as he began licking and sucking on Misty's nipples, causing her to wrap her arms and legs around the boy, keeping him close as he continued to suck.
"That was certainly forward of you, Lincoln, but I don't have Miltank Syndrome yet," Misty stated between breaths.
"I was more looking to make you feel wilder than before," Lincoln replied, as he broke away from her.
"And you succeeded. But I should probably get dressed before Brock gets back," Misty said, as she got up and went back to getting changed.
"Yeah, and I should go get into my PJs as well," Lincoln said, getting his PJs from his bag. He went into the bathroom and got changed. And just in time too, as Brock just walked into the room.
"Hey Lincoln, how'd your date go?" he asked.
"It was just as enlightening as my past ones. But it did lead to something that I've signed up for with Loona," Lincoln replied, catching his companion's attention.
"How so?" Misty asked, as Lincoln began to explain.
The next day, at the Race Track,
Fireworks were going off, as the crowd cheered in anticipation for today's event, "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen to this year's Big P Ranch Pokemon-athon Race, hosted by the Laramie Family! We've got quite the lineup of contenders for this year's race! With the favorite to win, Lara Laramie, out of commission, it looks like Dodrio Rancher Dario is the new favorite for this year's race! But don't count the other racers out yet, folks! We've not only got up and coming celebrity trainer, Lincoln Loud of Royal Woods, Michigan competing, but a princess of the Monster Realm has volunteered to race on behalf of Lara Laramie! Please give a warm welcome to Miss Loona Von Throne, princess of the Hellhounds!" the announcer said, as Lincoln, Misty, Brock and Loona all took their places on the track with their chosen partners. Lincoln and Loona were riding on both Galarian and Kantonian Ponyta respectively, Misty was on Gogoat, and Brock was riding on Steelix. Nearby, Charlie, Vaggie, I.M.P., Verosika's posse, and the rest of Lincoln's fiancés were getting ready to ride in some hot air balloons, "And we have other representatives of the Monster Realm ready to catch all the action on camera to stream directly to their own families!"
"Good luck, you four," Charlie said, as she got into a basket with Vaggie, Octavia, Kiki, and Jazz. Pikachu was also joining them as well.
"Thanks Charlie," Lincoln replied.
"Now, if all racers will get to the starting line, I'll explain the rules for the race!" the announcer said, as they all took their place, "The course for this year's race is the same as all previous years, taking racers across all forms of rugged terrain, testing their speed and abilities. Whoever clears all the obstacles and crosses the finish line first will be the winner!"
"Welp, that's our que!" Millie said, as the Monster Realm balloons began to take off, and fly further down the track. The countdown began as soon as they were a good distance away.
"Let's do our best, Ponyta," Loona said to her Ponyta steed, who neighed in response.
"Ready…? Three… two… one… GO!" the announcer said, as all the racers took off, "And they're off! When the dust settles, we'll be able to see who comes out on top in this Pokemon Challenge!"
"YEEHAW! EAT MAH DUST, LOSERS!" Dario cackled, as his Dodrio ran out in front, getting an early lead.
"The racers have only just left the stadium, and Dario's already pulled ahead into an early lead! If he keeps up this pace, he'll be unstoppable!" the announcer boomed, as Lara watched on the jumbotron.
"You can beat'em, you guys!" she said.
Back on the track, as everyone was racing along, something shot out from the tall grass, striking a Tauros racer, who began going wild from the surprise impact, "Whoa, settle down, Tauros!" the Tauros racer said, trying to get Tauros under control.
"Oh, and something's gone wrong with the Tauros racer! It's acting as though this were a rodeo!" the announcer boomed, just as Tauros struck a Nidorina with its horns, "Oh, and Nidorina did NOT like that sneak attack! Both Pokemon are ignoring their trainers and beginning to battle! It's clear that these two need some more training!"
From the tall grass, Jessie and James emerged, the latter holding a slingshot, "Hehehehe, I got a bullseye!" he laughed.
"Or close to it!" Jessie chortled.
The others were watching the race from inside their hot air balloons, "Something didn't seem right about that. That bull clearly got spooked by something," Vaggie commented.
"I know what you mean. I smell foul play," Octavia replied.
"But we can't act without any evidence," Kiki stated.
"We'll just have to hope that our cameras can pick up on any wrongdoings," Charlie replied, as they floated over a rocky mountain path.
"Our next obstacle is a 45 degree uphill climb in the rocky mountain terrain, which will test the endurance of both the trainer and their Pokemon! Dario is still holding onto his lead!"
"Don't overexert yourself, Ponyta. Take it slow if you need to," Lincoln urged.
"Thanks, but I think I can manage," his Ponyta replied, keeping up a steady pace with the rest of the racers. Both Steelix and Gogoat seemed to have little difficulty with climbing the hill. Before long, they were all heading downhill. One racer, who was rolling down on a much larger form of Voltorb but with inverted colors, was gaining on Dario in no time.
"Whoa!" Lincoln called out.
"He's fast!" Dario commented.
"Does that even count as riding a Pokemon?" Millie questioned.
"I couldn't even tell you, Mills," Blitz commented.
"And here comes Electrode, barreling down the racetrack and closing the distance between it and Dodrio by using its perfectly round body to gain speed heading down hill!" the announcer boomed, only for Electrode and its racer to fall into a "random" pit trap. Nearby, the X-Rockets were laughing, as Dario once again took the lead, "Oh, and now it's Electrode that's had an accident, and riders are taking advantage to pull ahead!" the announcer boomed, just as Electrode began glowing, "Uh oh! It looks like Electrode is living up to it's 'Bomb Ball' nickname! It's voltage is getting too high!" he said, just Lincoln, Loona, and two other races passed over, unable to get away from the explosion, "OH, and true to that nickname, Electrode has gone off with its signature Explosion move!"
"Oh no!" Lara cried, seeing that the Explosion had send Lincoln, Loona, and both Ponyta skidding across the ground.
"Ow, that's going sting for quite a while. You ok, Loona?" Lincoln asked, helping his hellhound fiancé back up on her feet.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. Hellhounds are a lot tougher than we look," Loona replied, before they saw that both Ponyta were covered in scrapes and bruises from the Explosion.
"Oh no, Ponyta! Are you both alright?" Lincoln exclaimed, as he and Loona rushed to both Ponyta's side.
"Y-Yeah, but that Explosion came out of nowhere," Lincoln's Ponyta replied, as they got up. Lara's Ponyta winced upon putting pressure on one of its legs.
"You must've hit your leg pretty hard," Loona said, inspecting the damage.
"Ponyta, use Heal Pulse!" Lincoln said.
"Of course," his Ponyta replied, as it began using Heal Pulse to heal both itself and Lara's Ponyta.
"Talk about great sportsmanship! Lincoln's Ponyta is using its Heal Pulse move to actually heal up both itself and Loona's Ponyta from the Explosion!" the announcer said, as Lara's Ponyta was fixed right up, "And they're back in the race!"
"Drat! Looks like its up to Plan B!" Meowth said, as he and his cohorts left to go ahead, while Lincoln and Loona resumed racing.
The cameras then showed a large river with a path of stones, "And now our racers have come to the most difficult part of the race! The Pokemon will have to jump from stone to stone to get across the river here!" the announcer boomed, as Dodrio wasted no time in jumping from stone to stone.
"Go, go Dodrio!" Dario urged. It was then that some of the other racers, including Steelix and a Rhyhorn, arrived while skidding to a stop, while Misty and Gogoat continued across. Steelix looked around for a way to cross over. The Rhyhorn leapt onto a stone, only to sink into the river. Steelix hung its head dejectedly.
"Oh, Rock and Ground Type Pokemon don't do well with water, so Steelix is out of here!" the announcer boomed.
"That's ok, we tried," Brock reassured.
"I'll go on ahead, Brock!" Misty called out, as both Lincoln and Loona came racing across the stones.
"Excellent form, Ponyta! Keep it up!" Loona praised, as both Ponyta raced across the stones.
"Lincoln and Loona are doing well for themselves," Coco commented.
"Looks like the next leg of the course is the last one," Miu commented, looking at a map of the course.
The cameras then showed several platforms going downhill, "And now, to boost their energy, each Pokemon can resume the race, ONLY after they've eaten an entire bowl of food. The Pokemon choose what food they want to eat!" the announcer boomed, just as Dario came skidding down with Dodrio to one plate. However, all three heads starting bickering over who would eat first.
"Oh, quit your fightin'! You'll all get your fair share!" Dario ordered, only to be ignored.
"Oh, and the three heads of Dodrio have begun fighting with one another!"
"Heh, guess three heads aren't always better than one," Kat chuckled, just as Misty, Lincoln, and Loona arrived, and went to different food bowls.
"Alright Ponyta, time to refuel!" Loona said.
"Looks like it's fast food!" Lincoln added. Dario could only growl in irritation upon seeing the three of them.
"Alright X-Rockets, time to do your stuff!" he called out, just as a cloud of black smoke began billowing all around.
"What is going on over on the track?! We appear to be having some technical difficulties!" the announcer stammered. Back on the track, the X-Rocket's balloon came floating in.
"I just heard a whiny voice!"
"Introductions are now, that's our choice!"
"Travelling the world, plundering its resources!"
"All to enhance our own personal forces!"
"This duo shall not be stopped by the law!"
"We do what we want, while you stand in awe!"
"Jessie, the fiery temptress of villainy!"
"Technical Master James is me!"
"We're an independent team of criminals, fighting for our rights!"
"Give up now, you can never win any sort of fights!"
"WE'RE THE X-ROCKETS! TRAVELLING NIGHT AND DAY!"
"And with Meowth, the price you'll surely pay!"
"Oh god, that was so painful to hear," Loona groaned.
"Welcome to our world," Lincoln replied.
"We don't have time for you three stooges!" Misty snapped at the X-Rockets.
"HOW DARE YOU COMPARE US TO THOSE THREE… er, I mean, come on up here, I'd like to have a word with you!" Jessie stated.
"Yes, and bring those Ponyta with you too!" James added.
"Yeah, so then I can mess you up again!" Meowth added cheekily.
"'Mess you up again'?" Lincoln parroted, before putting two and two together, "So it was you guys that caused Lara to sprain her arm!"
"That was a real cheap trick!" Misty added.
"So what if it was? With the bounty we've been promised, something that insignificant is well worth it!" Meowth cackled.
"I'll show you! Ponyta, use Psybeam!" Lincoln called out, as his Ponyta fired off Psybeam from its horn, only to be blocked by a big, mechanical arm. It was then that Charlie and the others floated by in their balloons.
"Those creeps! How dare they attack Lincoln and Loona!" Octavia growled.
"Get us closer, and I can deal with them personally," Gwendolyn said, brandishing her claws.
"We can't do that, your majesty. Even if they are troublemakers, they're still human, and are protected from us by the Interspecies Exchange Bill. We can't attack them unless they attack us first," Moxxie stated.
"Tsk, he's right! What now?" Jazz questioned as a flurry of leaves erupted from the slope, blowing the X-Rockets away a little bit.
"Grr, impudent brat! Dario, now's your chance!" Jessie called out.
"Thanks Jessie! Pleasure doin' business with ya!" Dario said, as he and Dodrio raced off again.
"So that explains those 'accidents'! Dario was working with those guys to cheat!" Loona growled.
"Of course. If Dario wins and gets in with the Laramie Clan, then he promised us all those top quality Pokemon on their ranch! Those can sell for tons of cash!" Meowth cackled.
"Lincoln, Loona, I'll handle things here! You two go on ahead!" Misty called out, as she and Gogoat took their battle stances.
"Are you certain about that, girly?" Jessie questioned, as the mechanical arms went and grabbed both Ponyta, knocking both Lincoln and Loona back.
"No, Ponyta!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"You bastards!" Loona growled.
"Name calling won't get you anywhere! And I think we'll take that Gogoat too!" Meowth said, as another mechanical arm went to try and take Gogoat, when a powerful stream of fire burned through the metal arms, releasing both Ponyta, "WHAT?!"
"The fuck was that?!" Blitz yelled.
"Look there!" Verosika exclaimed, pointing to a nearby cliff, where a large, brown Pokemon with a smokey grey mane and gold and red face crest stood.
"Whoa," was all Kat could say.
"Who's that Pokemon?" Lincoln questioned, scanning it.
"Entei, the Volcano Pokemon, a Legendary Fire Type first discovered in the Johto Region. It is said that an Entei is born when a volcano erupts and its barking can cause eruptions. It sends up massive bursts of flames that completely consume everything that they touch. This Entei is Level 75, and knows the Moves Stomp, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Roar, Fire Fang, Smokescreen, Flame Wheel, Calm Mind, Scary Face, Crunch, Extrasensory, Lava Plume, Swagger, Extreme Speed, and Sunny Day," Dexter explained.
"Entei is the third of the Legendary Johto Pokemon we've been encountering, alongside Raikou and Suicune!" Misty stated in awe, as Entei glared at the X-Rockets, who were greatly intimidated by its mere presence.
"Do you think that scary looking Entei is angry?" James asked nervously.
"W-Well, you never know… Maybe it'll let us go with a warning," Jessie feebly replied, only for Entei to fire off a Flamethrower at them, sending them zooming across the sky.
"LOOKS LIKE WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" they called, as disappeared into the wild blue yonder. Lincoln, on the other hand, was currently locked in what could be described as a staring contest with Entei, as both were sizing each other up. Entei turned and leapt away.
"THAT was a legendary Pokemon?" Loona questioned.
"And as you saw, a powerful one at that. But we can talk more about that later. We've got a race to win and a cheater to beat," Lincoln replied, as he and the girls got back on their Pokemon and took off again.
Back at the stadium, the jumbotron feed came back on, showing Dario and Dodrio way out in front, "Yes, we've got our cameras up and running again, and it looks like Dodrio is still in the lead! Now let's take a look at what happened to the other Pokemon. I can't see anything, but… wait, what is that?!" the announcer questioned, as Lincoln and the girls came racing by on their steeds, with Ponyta surrounded by a blazing red aura.
"Come on, Ponyta! We're all way behind thanks to those cheats!" Loona said, as the three of them began closing the gap on Dario.
"I don't know how it's happened, but it's become a four-way fight for first place between Dodrio, Gogoat, and both forms of Ponyta! All four racers have nothing left but a flat out run for the finish line! And Dodrio is still in the lead as it enters the stadium!"
"Hehehehehe! Ah'm gonna win this one!" Dario cackled, just as Lincoln and the girls got in close, "Huh? How'd they get so close?!"
"And both Ponyta and Gogoat have closed the gap, making this a last ditch fight for the finish!"
"Grr, do it, Dodrio!" Dario ordered, as the two heads on each side of Dodrio pecked at Lincoln's Ponyta and Misty's Gogoat, causing them to fall behind.
"Ack, Ponyta!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"That was a cheap shot, asshole!" Loona snapped.
"Ah do what ah have to in order to win!" Dario laughed, as Dodrio kept running ahead.
"Why that Dario!" Lincoln growled, as both his and Lara's Ponyta erupted in a bright light.
"The fuck is happening now?!" Loona exclaimed.
"Both Ponyta are evolving!" Lincoln exclaimed. And he was right, as both Ponyta began to grow much larger, their manes and tails grew larger and longer, and grew tufts of either flaming or glowing fur around their hooves. Lincoln's Ponyta's horn grew much longer, while Lara's grew a horn altogether, giving both of them the appearance of unicorns.
"Rapidash, Galarian Form, has been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"Incredible! They've both evolved into Rapidash!" Lara exclaimed, as the crowd was in awe.
"That's incredible!" Apple commented.
"Two different forms of the same Pokemon evolving simultaneously!" Moxxie added, as the two Rapidash rocketed down the track, faster than before.
"Incredible! We've just witnessed not one, but two simultaneous evolutions of both forms of Ponyta into Rapidash, the fastest sprinter of all known Pokemon!"
"You got to be kiddin' me!" Dario cursed, as it became a neck and neck race between Dodrio and both Rapidash, "C'mon, Dodrio!"
"RAPIDASH!" Lincoln and Loona called out, as they neared the finish line, it was a photo finish, but in the end, Dario came out on top.
"YES! AH won!" Dario cheered for himself, as he received applause from the crowd, except a dejected Lara and her Growlithe.
"Man, how did that cheater win?" Misty questioned, as she crossed the finish line.
"It's all about skill, carrot top!" Dario boasted, just as the balloons ferrying Charlie and them landed.
"Lincoln, Loona! You were both amazing out there!" Octavia praised.
"Thanks. Too bad we had to lose to a cheater," Loona grumbled.
"Well without proof, we can't prove he was cheating," Lincoln sighed.
"Hold on folks, I've just been handed an important bulletin! It turns out Dario hired some goons not only take Lara Laramie out of the race, but also set up traps all along the course!" the cheers Dario was getting then turned to boos and jeers.
"Yeah, so what if Ah did cheat? Ah do what it takes to win!" Dario argued, just as Lara's father came up.
"No Dario, that's NOT how the race works! It's supposed to be a fun contest between all competitors, where winning and losing doesn't matter. Your actions on the track not only were dishonest, but they put every other competitor in jeopardy, including our first Monster racer!" Mr. Laramie chastised.
"Well, it doesn't matter, 'cause Ah still won this here race!" Dario argued.
"No Dario, you didn't. You cheated and put your fellow racers at risk. As such, the organizers of this race have decided to disqualify you from this year's race! Meaning we have a tie for first between Lincoln Loud and Loona Von Throne," Mr. Laramie stated firmly, much to Dario's disbelief.
"You can't do that! Ah took the checkered flag!" Dario argued.
"Not only are you disqualified, Dario, you're banned from this race for life!" Mr. Laramie yelled, as security personnel came and escorted Dario and his Dodrio off the stadium grounds, "And as for you two, you should come and accept your award," he said, leading Lincoln, Loona and both Rapidash over to the Winner's Circle.
"It doesn't happen often, but we've got ourselves two winners for this year's Big P Pokemon Race. Congratulations to both Lincoln Loud and Loona Von Throne, as well as both Rapidash! And as per the terms of the race, both are now accepted as honorary members into the Laramie Clan!"
Mr. Laramie then gave both of them medals for their efforts, "You both should feel mighty proud of this accomplishment. And while it's not our usual thing to do, we'll allow you, Lincoln, to catch a total of TWO Pokemon from the Big P Ranch of your choosing."
"Oh wow, thank you, sir!" Lincoln replied.
"Congratulations to both of you," Misty said.
"Thanks, but some congrats should go to Lara. After all, it was her Rapidash that I rode," Loona replied.
"But you were the one who rode it for the race, Loona. I should be thanking you," Lara replied.
"So, is that what these two are called? Rapidash?" Charlie asked, looking at the two, newly evolved Pokemon. Naturally, Blitz was the most taken in by them.
"Yeah. Hang on," Lincoln said, as he scanned both of them.
"Rapidash, the Fire Horse Pokemon, a Fire Type first discovered in the Kanto Region. The fastest runner becomes the leader and will decide its herd's pace and direction of travel. It has a highly competitive nature, and if it sees something going fast, it can't resist the urge to race.
Rapidash, Galarian Form, the Unique Horn Pokemon, a Psychic and Fairy Type. Little can stand up to the power of it's Psycho Cut. Unleashed from this Pokemon's horn, the move will punch a hole right through a thick metal sheet. Upon evolving, Rapidash learned the move Psycho Cut," Dexter explained.
"Awesome!" Lincoln exclaimed, as both he and Loona got nuzzled by the Rapidash.
Later, at the Big P Pokemon Ranch,
Lincoln was looking over the multitudes of Pokemon that were being raised on the ranch, and was considering his options, "So, Lincoln can choose any two of the Pokemon?" Miu asked.
"That's right. It's his right for winning the race," Lara replied. Eventually, Lincoln saw one Pokemon he definitely wanted, namely Rhyhorn.
"Alright, I didn't get to catch a Rhyhorn when I was in the Safari Zone yesterday, but I'll catch one of them," Lincoln said, getting out an Ultra Ball, "Alright, and go!" he said, throwing the Ultra Ball at a Rhyhorn, only for a Nidorina to come and jump in the way, getting sucked into the Ultra Ball instead. It rocked three times before snapping shut.
"Nidorina has been Registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"Ok, not what I was going for," Lincoln commented, as his newly caught Nidorina warped away.
"Why not approach the Rhyhorn and toss a Pokeball up close?" Mr. Laramie suggested.
"Is that really alright?" Lincoln asked.
"Sure, they won't bite," Mr. Laramie replied, as he ushed Lincoln over to the Rhyhorn herd. Like what Mr. Laramie has said, the Rhyhorn remained indifferent about Lincoln.
"Well, alright then," Lincoln said, fishing out a Great Ball, and tossing it at one of the Rhyhorn. The Great Ball rocked three times before snapping shut.
"Rhyhorn has been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"Perfect!" Lincoln said, as the Great Ball warped away. It was then that Aya appeared on a nearby fence post.
"Excellent form with catching Pokemon, Lincoln," she complimented.
"Who's that?" Verosika asked.
"Aya, a Gym Trainer for the Fuchsia Gym. She must be here to escort Lincoln to the Gym," Misty replied.
"Ooh, can we tag along?" Millie asked.
"Would really be alright for you guys to come along?" Misty asked.
"Sure, we don't have to be back in the Monster Realm until later tonight. We've got plenty of time," Blitz replied.
"Would you mind if our friends came to watch the battle?" Lincoln asked Aya.
"Not at all, as long as they don't cause any trouble," Aya replied, as she began to lead them away from the ranch. Lincoln was going to follow too, only to be stopped by Mr. Laramie.
"Something up, Mr. Laramie?" Lincoln asked.
"How's about I make you another offer, kiddo?" he asked.
"What kind of offer?" Lincoln asked. Mr. Laramie then pulled Lara over.
"With how much you seem to love Pokemon as much as we do, how'd you like to be an OFFICIAL member of the Laramie clan?" Mr. Laramie asked. Lara blushed since she knew what this meant.
"REALLY DADDY?!" she yelled in embarrassment.
"Aw c'mon, pumpkin, I promised you that I'd find you a suitable suitor, and this kid fits the bill," Mr. Laramie replied.
"If you want, Lara, we can just stick to dating for the time being. That's what I'm doing with Loona and the others," Lincoln suggested.
"W-Well, alright. Ah suppose that'll do," Lara replied, as she handing Lincoln a slip of paper with her phone number on it.
"Great! Now go on and git to your Gym Battle, kiddo, and good luck!" Mr. Laramie said.
"Thanks! And thanks again for letting me catch those Pokemon!" Lincoln called back, as he ran to catch up with the others.
Meanwhile, on a street corner somewhere in Royal Woods, at nighttime,
Chandler had snuck out of his house and made his way to a street corner, where some younger kids were waiting, "You got what I asked for?" he asked.
"Yeah. You got the goods?" one of the kids asked. Chandler then handed them each a large bag filled with candy, "Pleasure doing business with you," the kids said, handing Chandler a notebook, before the took their loot and ran back to their homes.
"Heheh, this'll be too easy," he chuckled, as the notebook had notes of Lucy's daily routine at school, "Soon it'll be adios to this curse!"
