Episode 94: Team HYDRA Strikes Again!

"I'm sorry, Steve," MJ apologized. "For me to get in the way of Peter's dreams would do him and myself a disservice. So if I have to get along with others I don't agree with, then I'll do it."

"The one I love wouldn't like me if he saw how I was behaving right now," Gwen admitted. "I take back what I said, MJ, about calling you and Peter nobodies. But I'll prove to you and Quill that I'm not just a backup."

"Same here," Quill added. "I'll be the best backup that's ever backed up!"

"Okay, now you've made it weird," Gwen said, summoning her Gwespin and Greengob back into their PDBs. "Let's just get this pickup mission over with so we can get our next ribbons and badges already."

"Agreed," Steve nodded, giving his Healing Factor Syringe to MJ. "The sooner we find the next Sokovia Realm Champion, the better."

While Peter and Quill immediately put their Marémon away in their PDBs minus Spidermin, MJ healed Noirspi and put him back in his PDB. After that, Steve led Gwen, Peter, MJ, and Quill to the western side of Sokovia City where a large pinewood forest lay. Through this forest were two roads, with one being paved and the other being a dirt road for hikers. Steve took the latter path and kept his Capmer out to scout the area for any potential dangers. While Peter and Quill walked behind Steve, MJ and Gwen brought up the rear with Spidermin crawling beside them.

"Can you tell us where we're going?" Gwen asked Steve as she adjusted the dress shoes she was wearing. "My feet are killing me."

"If you wore better travel shoes, they wouldn't be hurting," MJ said.

Noticing MJ's worn out sneakers, Gwen snickered. "You're one to talk."

Before MJ could make a remark, she felt Steve's judgmental gaze upon her from further up.

"Maybe I'll tell you if you quit arguing back there," Steve said.

A sudden rustling of leaves caught Capmer's attention. He leaped off the path and towards the bush where the rustling came from. Everyone watched nervously until Capmer emerged from the bush with a rabbit in his clawed hands. Steve shook his head and pointed his finger down, which made Capmer drop the rabbit. While the rabbit ran off into the forest, Spidermin noticed a growing shadow above him and used his front legs to push MJ and Gwen away.

From a nearby tree leaped Wintersol, the jackal-like Marémon that White Wolf summoned on the train to Xandar City. He was using his Bionic Arm Swipe to hit Spidermin, though Spidermin's Spidey-Sense ability kicked in just in time to dodge the attack. But just as Gwen and MJ tried to join Peter, Quill, and Steve, they were blocked by White Wolf himself who jumped down from behind the top branch of another tree. He took a knife from his leather jacket pocket and waved it in front of the girls.

"Don't think of calling your Marémon," White Wolf warned. "Because if you do, I won't hesitate to kill you both."

"Hey, you!" Steve said, causing White Wolf to look over his shoulder.

"Steve Rogers," White Wolf said snidely. "I didn't expect to see you here babysitting a bunch of kids, unless these are new recruits for SHIELD."

"Why I'm here is none of your business," Steve said while Capmer looked ready to fight. "I've heard a lot of scary stories about you, but in person you don't look so tough."

"Really?" White Wolf turned to face Steve. "I could say the same about you, old man."

"Old?" Steve was insulted. "I'm only a few years older than these kids!"

"But you were frozen fifty years ago, so you're really a grandpa compared to them in age," White Wolf argued.

"No matter how old I really am, I'll still beat you," Steve said confidently. "Capmer, Shield Throw at White Wolf without hitting the girls!"

Capmer nodded and gripped his shell. From it emerged a large disk-shaped shield with the same star-shaped symbol, which Capmer threw at White Wolf like a frisbee. Before the shield could hit White Wolf, Wintersol leaped over the girls and used his mechanical arm to punch the shield midair. The force of the punch made the shield fly back towards Capmer, who caught it in his claw hands. But Capmer wasn't done as he threw the shield again, which Wintersol blocked.

What Wintersol didn't see, though, was that Capmer had leaped into the air landing between White Wolf and Wintersol. Then while White Wolf was distracted, Spidermin used Stun Web to immobilize him. Meanwhile, Wintersol and Capmer were trading punches and kicks giving Gwen enough time to summon Greengob.

"Use your Glider Strike to get us to the boys," Gwen ordered.

Greengob nodded and conjured a green glider out of thin air. Waving his hands, he made the glider big enough to fit one person on it.

"Are you sure we're going to be able to ride on that?" MJ said, looking at the glider doubtfully.

"It's not like we have much of a choice," Gwen pointed out, looking at Capmer and Wintersol. "They won't keep up their punching match for too long."

So reluctantly, MJ got onto Greengob's glider while Gwen followed. The two stood awkwardly close together as Greengob leaped onto Gwen's shoulder and raised his hands causing the glider to hover. It didn't get very far off the ground because of the extra weight, and crash-landed.

"I knew this wasn't going to work," MJ grumbled, summoning Noirspi. "So I'll just use Noirspi's Web Shot to swing around the battle while you use Greengob's glider."

"Fine," Gwen frowned. "I was only trying to help."

While MJ held onto Noirspi as he swung onto a nearby tree using Web Shot, Gwen stayed on Greengob's glider as he levitated it once more. But as MJ flew through the air, she caught a glimpse of a computer monitor hiding behind one of the trees away from the path.
