Chapter 3

A melancholy Church sat alone in New York City, a decrepped old building with a broken clock on the front, and shattered stain-glass windows. A darkening shadow lurked over a man, glaring through the windows, looking out at the miserable city with pure hatred. Down on the floor in front of him, were Bradford and Xever, on their knees in show of respect for their master, on their side stood Daiki with his hands behind his back, looking very uncomfortable with the upcoming conversation about to be held. Both Bradford and Xever had encountered the Hamatos the other night and tried to lure them into a trap, but ended up being flushed away in the sewers. When Daiki told his Master of his encounter with them, and his discovery of the three rather unusual students, he seemed livid.

Shredder half turnt his head to look pointedly at his men with frustration.

"So some of Hamato Yoshi's disciples are indeed turtles? And yet they managed to defeat you?". Chris Bradford was just as frustrated to fail as his Master was, "Not just turtles. Man-sized turtles! Trained in ninjutsu. And I almost had them-."

"Till you lead us into their trap." Xever barged in annoyed. "If you'd let me take them down when I wanted-"

"Then we'd never find Hamato!"

"Silence!" Shredder growled at the arguing men, causing everyone in the room to freeze momentarily. He walked up to Bradford slowly, pure disappointment in his eyes. "You were such a promising student. I expected much more from you."

Daiki watched from the corner of his eye as Bradford's own shrank to the size of pins when Shredder brought his gauntlet blades to his chin. "S-sensei!" Chris stumbled in fear, "give me another chance. I will not fail you again." Shredder retracted his blade and pierced the man with his intense eyes instead. "No, you won't. Xever, you are in charge." Xever grinned, pleased with this decision.

Bradford, on the other hand, shocked by his Masters decision, spoke without thinking. "I won't take orders from this gutter trash!"

"Is that so?" Shredder asked nonchalantly. He only had to raise his hand a few inches before Bradford bowed and looked his Master in the eyes apologetically "Unless you want me to, Master."

Shredder lowered his hand once more, looking to Xever, but before he could voice his instructions, the Brazilian spoke. "I've already put the word out on the street to watch for the turtles and the girl. And when I find them, I'll peel them out of their shells and drop them at your feet." With that the Shredder nodded and turned back to his throne, taking that as their que to leave, the two man look at each other, one glaring and the other smirking, as they took off.

Once the door shut behind them, the room was covered in pure silence.

"Morikawa." Shredders voice reached him from across the room. Daiki moved in front of the man and took a knee of respect, "Yes Master?"

"The Kunoichi you saw with the turtles. Are sure of her name?" Shredder asked, strangely thoughtful. "I believe so Master. The turtles only mentioned the name April, other then their own when talking to each other? I could find out more about her if you'd want?" He asked cautiously.

"Very well." Saki said solemnly. "But you may take leave for the rest of the night for now. Just be back for morning training Child." Saki spoke calmly, clearly his mind was focused on other matters. "Hai, Arigatō Master" 'Yes, Thank you Master', he stood and bowed from the waist before departing to leave his Master with his thoughts.

Once outside the meeting room, Daiki stood there for a moment before moving on, it had been awhile since he was left on his own without actually needing to do something for the Clan. Maybe he should use this time to go to the labs and work on more of his own weaponry? Or he could finish his studies on chemical engineering? Maybe tune up his Motorcycle? Or try his exploding shuriken idea again? Or!...

growl

Or maybe he should go eat something first? He groaned quietly to himself at the thought of eating. Ever since the fire, he never really had a good stomach for eating. The doctor told him that his problem was called purging disorder, but he never really wanted to believe them, he felt fine, until after he ate...

Which ultimately lead to food being a very hit or miss thing. And secondly, it didn't help that he could get pulled into a project so easily that he'd forget about time completely, he would just end up starving for days at a time, distracted with his training, his inventions, his projects! It just took up too much of his time.

But it had been about a day and a half now, so he needed to eat something sooner or later, and he'd been working hard these past couple days so he deserved to treat himself, perhaps that little Japanese noodle place just across town? Some familiar food may help his stomach to handle the food better, and anything beats more of those American noodles he been thriving of off, and once hes been out for at least an hour or so, he can come back and dive straight into his projects for the next couple of hours!... unless of course he had a quick 10 minute look at his Bike before leaving?

- 2 Hours after defeating Bradford and Xever-

Underneath New York City, an abandoned subway station connected in the sewers, was more livelier then it should of been. Six people sat together, in a pit surrounded by couches in a large living room type area, eating a well deserved meal after successfully pummeling two idiots. A large Rat, three Turtles and two human girls, were a strange sight to see, yet they were happy in each others company.

Michelangelo was helping himself to more pizza gyoza from the other take out bags, and the surrounding plates, while the five others talked amongst themselves. Miwa decided that now was a good time to mention to her father about their encounter yesterday night, with the 'smoke bomb dude' as Mikey called him, still trying to come up with a name for him as he'd keep forgetting his real one. So she explained their night to him in detail, with Raph and Leo throwing in their own parts every now and then. Leonardo, looked at his father, hoping he would have some information. "So what do you make of it Sensei?".

"Hmmm" hummed the thoughtful response of the mutant rat. Hamato Yoshi, known also as Splinter, sat stroking his droopy white beard, ears pulled back in thought. And even in his lotus position on the floor, you could tell that he was considerably taller thanall of the teenagers in the room with him.

"The family name is indeed a familiar one" Splinter said to the other occupants in the sewer lair. "But I'm afraid I'm not aware of a Daiki in the family?" The four ninjas looked at each other conflicted, Miwa's eyes dropped to her plate of food, feeling confused once more about this boy, and more importantly, his problem with her father. Perhaps he was just a random kid who had ties to the Foot, and just so happens to share the same surname as these others Morikawas?

"Well what do you know about the Morikawas, Splinter?" Asked a red haired girl hopefully, from the pits couch, trying to give her four friends some hope in shedding light on this strange guy who attacked them. "Did you know them yourself?" She asked again. "Indeed I did." The four young ninjas looked back to their Sensei as he took in a breath and released, closing his eyes to recalling his story.

"The Morikawas were a long line weaponeers from Japan." He spoke thoughtfully. "Though they mainly designed Ninjitsu type weapons. Ranging from beautiful black Katanas to sturdy sakura Rokushakubōs. The Hamato Clan as well as the Foot, used to order custom made weapons from them, over many, many years." Splinter sat for a moment and smiled at a memory only he could see,

"In fact, when I was younger and still in my training, I got my first sword from the Morikawas shop. A beautiful maroon-tinted tantō blade, made by the elderly shop owner himself, who the others in the town called Old Morikawa-San. The weapons he made were always designed with the user in mind, created specifically to play with their skills and strengths. When Miwa was born, around 17 years ago, the shop was run by Old Morikawa-Sans only child, Genki Morikawa. Who had been continuing to carry on his families tradition after his fathers death. He himself, made many of mine and Saki's blades as we grew to adulthood. Genki-San had a wife named Hana, who was a kind school teacher, loved by all her pupils and everyone else she met, though I never had the honour of meeting her myself." He said smiling sadly to himself, continuing on,

"But I saw on the news a couple of years after I left Japan with Miwa, that they had both died in a fire, that spread and took out what looked to be the whole village they lived in, they believed it to be caused by a forest fire." The five teens looked shocked at that, before Splinter finished off, "But there was never any mention of other family members who may of perished in the flames, and Genki-San had no child of his own when I lived in Japan."

The teens sat silent, pondering this for a moment.

"Is it possible, that Daiki is a distant cousin of some sort then?" Leonardo inquired, looking at his Sensei. "It may be possible, but I wouldn't be able to confirm that, my son." Leonardo nodded to his father, "It's ok Splinter, it's just another piece of the puzzle we have to solve."

"So what?..." Mikey started quietly, only to have everyone train their eyes on him. "So what if he is that Genki dude's son or not? I...I think theres good in him, I think he's not all that bad? You know? And I think that...maybe we should try and help him?" Mikey finished uneasily, ready for someone if not everyone to start yelling at him. "WHAT!?" Came the exclaims from all the teenagers in the room, as expected. "He beat the shell outta us for no reason!! How is that 'good' in your eyes? And in case you forgot, his in the foot, Idiot!!" Raph blared at his brother, furious that he'd even consider trusting the foot. "Maybe he made a bad choice? Maybe he didn't know what he was getting himself into? I don't know?? Sensei said once that people do stupid things when they're sad right?" He said looking at his father for reassurance.

Splinter however, was sat in thought over his sons feelings. On one hand he had to consider, Michelangelo had always had a strong intuition about others, but he could also be easily lead on by his more gullible side, the whole Bradford situation less then a week ago proved that. So could his thoughts toward this foot be true? He hummed to himself before answering his son.

"Indeed Michelangelo, people can make bad decisions when they are hurt, and if he did somehow have connections to Genki, then it would be understandable that he was stressed to say the least at the news." He answered, "But this Daiki is involved in the foot one way or another, if you believe he indeed has good in him, then I will not stop you from trying to help him if you believe it is the right thing to do. However, he is serving under your enemy, that is an error you cannot afford to make my son, especially after your last 'friend from the foot'." He said, placing a hand on his sons shoulder for comfort.

"But I have faith ib any decision you make, my son." Mikey smiled at his Sensei, nodding in understanding, before chowing into his food again happily.

The others however looked at each other sceptically. Miwa looked away from her little brother annoyed, Raphael grunted and crossed his arms, and Leonardo had a feeling he'd have to watch his little brother more closely now then ever. Leo sighed, reaching out for his plate of gyoza, only to find it completely empty. His head shot up to see Mikey chowing down on his food, as well as, by the looks of it, everyone else's. The others followed Leo's line of sight to indeed find all their food in Mikey's mouth, suddenly smiling wildly at them. Raphael though, was fair from smiling. Furious at the fact his food was taken from him, Raph growled at Mikey, befire pouncing on him.

"Mikey! You ate all the pizza gyoza!! We had 3 bags full!" He said pounding on his brothers shell repeatedly. "Its not my fault! The food was getting cold bro!" Mikey shouted out between the hits. The others in the pit sighed at the ruckus, "Yeah? Well now you can go and get us some more Mikey!" Raph said pulling said turtle up, to then push him towards the turnstiles. "AND DON'T EAT ANY OF IT ON YOUR WAY BACK!!" Raph yelled after him, "UGGHH, OK MOM!" Mikey shouted back annoyed.

Miwa watched him leave before turning back to the remaining family members. "Should someone go with him-" She was cut off, "Eh, he'll be fine, it's his punishment for eating all the food!" Raph grunted out crossing his arms.

The sun had gone down a couple of hours ago now, filling the sky with stars and darkening hues. Daiki had gotten carried away once more with his bike, instead of a quick 10 minute check in before leaving as planned, he was out in about 2 hours. He was dressed slightly warmer for the colder night, a large dark purple hoodie, with black trousers, and a grey scarf around his neck. A soft breeze lifted the smells of the bitter cold to his reddened nose, as he made his track across the street towards the Noodle Shop. He couldn't help but think of what he was going to do once he got back to the foot compound, he was dying to try out some of his exploding shurikens.

As he made it to the restaurant, he saw a machine outside the shop and had a sudden rush of nostalgia as he walked over to the familiar box happily. It was a way of ordering food, quite popular in Tokyo. You pick your order and then pay for a ticket with said order already on it, and hand it too the chef. Though this one, instead of a ticket, looked to have braille tokens to give to the chef.

"Shefu wa mōmokudesu?" 'The chef is blind?' He questioned quietly to himself, before a chuckle could be heard beside him.

"Indeed i am, But I don't let that stop me" a gentle old voice joked, making Daiki jump a little at the surprise that the Noodle Man was outside the shop, more specifically, was right next to him.

"Shazai itashimasu 'My apologies' Sir, I didnt see you there."

Murakami-San chuckled once more and waved him off. The man seemed quite pleased to hear another Japanese person. And it wasn't like he needed to see Daiki was Asian to know he was from Japan, if not from his speech, then his accent definitely gave him away. It was then that Daiki, realized that the man was actually preparing to close for the night.

'Oh! Gomen 'Sorry' Sir, I didn't realise how late it was." Daiki apologized to the man for the inconvenience he may have almost caused, plus he was silently relieved that he wouldn't have to eat and waste his precious free time, which he had been dreading all night. Now he could go back and work on- "Ah! Mattaku mondainaiits! 'No problem at all!' it's freezing out, and I have some Oden cooking as we speak." The old man gestured inside his little shop. "Please I'd love the company!"

'Dang it' Daiki thought stupidly, as he smiled nervously, thanking the man before entering the shop, even though the man couldn't see his smile he felt the need to do so.

Daiki first looked at the stool seats by the counter, then to the walls of the Japanese inspired restaurant. The smell of candles burning in the back of the restaurant hit him in a comforting way, and the feel of the shop all together, just felt homely. The man showed Daiki to the stools, where he took a seat.

"Arigatō Sir" 'Thank you' Daiki said gratefully. "Do itashi Mashite" 'You're Welcome' he said returning a bow, "and please, call me Murakami" he smiled before continuing,"I was not aware of any other Japanese people in this part of town," he said as he moved around the counters, grabbing two bowls, before making his way to the pot of Oden cooking, "Were you born here in America, Or did you move from Japan?"

"Oh, I moved here about 2 weeks ago now, from Tokyo." Daiki supplied for the man awkwardly. "Mmm Tokyo, i worked there for a time, but it was not for me." He said filled with nostalgia, while dishing up the Oden. "Did you come to America with anyone else?" He inquired, "Hai, I can with my... Uncle." Daiki said steadily, not wanting to seem suspicious to the old man.

As Murakami-San nodded, placing a bowl in front of Daiki, he bowed respectfully to him, "I hope you enjoy it, Its a Murakami special" he chuckled to himself, Daiki couldn't help but smile at the kind old man. "I made changes to the original recipe to fit more to my tastes, cooking was always something I enjoyed growing up, and I loved to try out new combinations of foods. It has always been a dream of mine to connect people with my food." He finished ambitiously, "Food connects us to our origins, our traditions and our homes." He placed a gentle hand on Daiki's shoulder."And it's nice to have the familiar taste of home with you, wherever you are." He smiled warmly to the boy, patting him on the shoulder, before going to continue cleaning his restaurant. Daiki smiled down at the Oden, This man reminded him so much of home, of his late grandfather, kind and sweet Old Morikawa-San, but mostly he reminded him of something he lost shortly after his grandfather, something he'd never be able to get back, he reminded him of Family. He smiled sadly at the bowl, saying his thanks once more, before grabbing his chopsticks and digging into the specially prepared Oden. It was Delicious.

Suddenly the door flung open so fast that the bell chimed afterwards, in said doorway was a green figure, which bounded into the room like a firework gone off. "Yo! Murakami-San!" Mikey shouted excitedly as he saw the noodle man cleaning the counters. "I wouldn't happen to be able to order some more of thoses pizza gy-" Michelangelo stopped mid-sentence, seeing a boy sat on a stoll just to the side, behind the door. Looking at him as if he was a giant green turtle or something, then Mikey realized, he was, and that he had just burst into the restaurant, not even looking to see if anyone else was in except for Murakami-San.

He then looked back at boy properly, taking in his angered eyes, Asian and mahogany in colour, and calculating... Mikey thought for a moment that he knew him? Daiki, on the other hand, was glaring at the turtle angrily. He stood abruptly, knocking his stool down, and pointed at the turtle in front of him, "YOU!"

Mikey recognized his voice immediately and gasped, pointing at the ninja in disguise. "Donnie!?"

"D-donnie?" Daiki said mildly confused, already with his tantō in hand, which he had concealed under his hoodie.

"Yeah bro! Remember? You like totally kicked our shells yesterday?" Mikey said quickly, hands up in a surrender motion. "My name is Daiki." He corrected, annoyed, but silently amused. Mikey on the other hand was now the confused one, "Wait, really? I swore your name was Don-" He stopped abruptly as Daiki lifted his blade quickly to point at his neck, "Don't take me as a fool Turtle! Why are you here? Did you follow me? Are you here to hurt this innocent old man?!" Daiki shouted at the very stunned Mikey. But before he could make answer him, Murakami stepped in front of Mikey, forcing Daiki back, "Tomaru! 'Stop!' He is a friend of mine! He saved my life only hours ago from some bad people! He is not here to harm me I assure you."

Daiki stared at the old man, confused. "Saved you? What low lifes would beat up a blind guy?"

"Uh, Xever and Bradford is who dude! They totally kidnapped Murakami-San and tied him up! And just to lure me and my fam out too, But we totally kicked their butts though!" Mikey finished enthusiastically. Daiki took in that information, and confirmed by the way Murakami guarded the turtle, that he was indeed telling the truth. And sheathed his tantō once more, sighing.

"Of course Bradford and Xever would go so low as too actually hurt a blind guy, those guys really are morons." He said shaking his head, as he picked his stool back up. Mikey took that as a sign to relax, and turned to Daiki in silent relief, "Yeah their pretty much the worst dude, but we totally knocked them off the building! That's like the second time we flushed those fools!" He laughed to himself. Daiki could help but chuckle at his contagious laugh, "Well then, I for one can't wait to see how they get punished for failing to get you guys once again", Daiki said laughing with him, "Oh! Dude! Shredder is totally gunna go mad!" Mikey cried out in hysterics, imagining the faces of the two goons.

Daiki felt strangely comfortable with this turtle, and seeing that Mr Murakami was now smiling to himself and resuming his previous task of cleaning, he decided that it probably wouldn't be best to start a fight in the restaurant."Well, I suppose it'd be rude of us to start a fight in Murakami-Sans fine establishment, don't you Turtle?" He asked, sitting back down on his stool cautiously, watching the turtle at all times.

"Oh! My name's Michelangelo dude" he said holding his fist out for what looked like a fist bump. "Michelangelo? I thought your name was Mikey?" Daiki questioned, eyeing the fist bump, but ignoring it. "No dude, Mikey is my nickname, coz you know? Michelangelo is a mouthful" he chuckled again, sitting down at the counter with him, "and I'm not Italian by the way, just got an Italian name, you know, the painter dude from like the 90s or something?" he finished with a smile, to which Daiki felt his mouth tug into a grin at his goofy smile. "Oh hey!" Mikey shouted, "Are you like missing a tooth or something there coz-".

"Watch it." Daiki warned, eyes narrowed on him, silently daring him to continue. "Sorry dude!" He said put his hands up defensively while chucking nervously.

They had been in there for several minutes now, talking every now and then in short and small conversations. Murakami had given Mikey his bowl of Oden, and continued to work. Though once Daiki was finished with his meal, he insisted on helping the old man clean up, till his restaurant was ready for closure, to which Mikey and Daiki thanked him for their meals, and left the shop.

They stood just outside the shop for moment, contemplating what they should do next. Mikey turned to Daiki, who looked back at him quickly, smirking while placing a hand on his tantō, Mikey smiled a little when he saw the small curve of Daiki's lips, only to look down at his hand and realize the reason for said smile and break out into a run straight for the rooftops.

Leaping up the fire escape in mere seconds, he landed on the roof pulling out his nunchakus, only to turn round and have Daiki there in a matter of seconds, tantō clashing with his chains. "Hey dude! We just ate! And we were having such a nice time! You couldn't hold off for 10 minutes or something?" Mikey barked out, caught off guard. Daiki chuckled, "What? You thought just having a nice meal with me is going to make us friends?" Daiki added casually. "Ugh! Just don't use any of thoses smoke bombs dude, its totally cheating!" Mikey huffed out.

"You got it" Daiki said smugly as he slid his blade over the chain, swinging it upwards to try and slice at the turtle, but narrowly missing as Mikey swung his head backwards, into a full back-flip, out of Daiki's arm range and safety back down a few feet away were he launched off of one foot, swinging his chains around his head, while running. Daiki ran forward at Mikeys leap, racing towards the frantic turtle, before dropping to his knees and kicking Mikey's legs out under him, sending him falling face first into the concrete rooftop.

Only for Mikey to roll over, holding one of his chains firmly and smirk at Daiki as he suddenly pulled. Daiki only had enough time to follow the turtles eyes down in time to see that Mikey's kusarigama blade was hooked around his ankle. And said pull had sent him down hard to the floor, hitting his head, as he wasn't able to stop the fall quick enough. He blinked his eyes a couple of times to get rid of the stars, rubbing his aching head as he sat up, to be faced with said Turtle, stood over him, with one hand outstretched to him.

"I'm not bad right?" Mikey huffed out smugly. "I guess not?" Daiki said grinning slightly, taking his hand to help him stand. "For a reptile, your pretty fast." He huffed out annoyed, but impressed.

"Ah yeah dawg!, the power of ninja dude!" Mikey exclaimed loudly, proud of his quick victory. He bunched up his fist and held it out to Daiki, who rolled his eyes back, but complied with a fist bump back. Mikey beamed back at him.

"I wont lie Mikey, I'm surprised you caught me off guard so quickly?" Daiki said looking at the ground nervously.

"Yeah dude! That's coz I'm just that awesome" he said smugly swing his nunchakus around, only to hit himself in the face. "OW! Ugghhh, well um you wanna go hangout somewhere?" Mikey said pouting, rubbing his now bruising jaw. Daiki tried to stop himself from laughing. "We can, just don't hit yourself in the face again" he chuckled, Mikey grinned back, nodding. "Did you have somewhere in mind?" Daiki asked curiously.

- A few hours later -

"Well what do you do for fun Don?" Mikey asked curiously, kicking his dangling legs from their current spot on top of a billboard, looking out at a secluded part of the city. "Fun?" Daiki asked anxiously. "Well... I...uhh... I like to invent things?" He replied shyly, not used to someone being genuinely interested in his hobbies. While also ignoring the fact that Mikey called him Donnie or anything else referring to the name Donnie, for the 19th time tonight.

"OH! LIKE THOSE AWESOME SMOKE BOMBS?!?!" Mikey screamed in excitement, Daiki jumped, but laughed at his reaction.

"Yeah like those. I make alot of weaponary for myself" he said proudly, Mikey nodded, looking at him in pure awe. "Though when I have the time, I like to study."

"Like what?" Mikey asked intrigued.

"I'm quite into metallurgy, chemical and mechanical engineering, computer science, and anything medical really! But my interest at the moment is mainly in chemical engineering." Daiki looked at him beaming, happy to finally share his interests to someone, but his smile soon dropped when he saw Mikeys confused face.

"Chemical engineering?" He questioned, somehow looking even blanker then before. "Chemical engineers develop and design chemical manufacturing processes-" Daiki started only to have Mikey interrupt, "Umm, English please?" He cut him off awkwardly, "Chemical engineers apply the principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and math to-"

"Dude I said english?"

"I do alot of work with chemicals!" Daiki shouted suddenly, pinching his nose bridge out of frustration of not being understood. "Oh! Gotcha bro! like mutagen!" Mikey clicked his fingers, being able to understand something Daiki just said, "Muta-what?" Daiki stammered out confused. "You know? The green glowy goo stuff that turns people into...well..." he gestured to himself with a 'know it all' look on his face.

"I-i've never heard of it? Where does it come from?" Daiki asked, getting curious about the scientific process behind Mikeys mutation. "Oh, there's like these dudes called the Krangg, who look like identical guys in suits, but they are actually slimy brain aliens in robot bodies! And they make the mutagen, somehow? But they've been kidnapping scientists from all over the city for some reason? they even kidnpped our friends Dad. But Me, my bros and sis are trying to stop them from mutating anyone else, and figure out why their kidnapping science-y dudes too." Mikey said simply, smiling, as if he was just discussing the weather. Daiki was confused and honestly shocked by what he had just heard, "Aliens? In New York?" He asked cautiously, hoping he hadn't misheard all of what was just said. "Uh-huh, Absolutely!" Mikey said, nodding his head violently. Daiki sighed at his enthusiasm, "You really are something Mikey." He said shaking his head.

"I'll look into these 'Aliens' if you want me too? See if I can help in anyway? If what you say is true and these 'Krangg' are indeed kidnapping people, then I believe it calls for more then just three turtles and some girl to track them down, right?"

"Yeah dude! We could totally uses your awesome tech to take them! They wouldn't know what hit them" Mikey shouted, fist bumping the air, Daiki chuckled, nodding in agreement.

It was then that he felt the urge to look at his phone, onlt to see the time.

"Shoot! I have to get back! Sorry Mikey!" Daiki shouted suddenly, standing to dust himself off, before making for the fire escape, hating to leave in the middle of their conversation.

"No prob D!" Mikey shouted back, before suddenly turning uncharacteristically nervous, rubbing the back of his head, "Umm maybe I'll see yah again soon?" Mikey asked twiddling his fingers, Daiki slowed down in his track, and looked at him sceptically.

Michelangelo was supposed to be his enemy, he was taught and most probably raised by the heartless, Hamato Yoshi himself! But yet, here stood this strange mutant turtle, with nothing in his heart but pure and good intentions, smiling at him with the kindest expression anyone had given him in years.

Daiki smiled at the young turtle and nodded once. To which Mikey lit up, beaming goofily again, Daiki started turning to continue on his way, but stopped mid-way and spinning back around, looking at Mikey jokingly. "Hey, is D supposed to be short for Daiki or Donnie?" Mikey smiled to himself, "...Umm I don't know?" He said after a little pause, smirking while balancing on his heels innocently, Daiki rolled his eyes, grinning, and jumped down the fire escape.

Mikey smiled to himself and silently fist bumped the air. Glad that his instincts about D were correct, he really was a cool dude like he thought! His brothers and sister were just overreacting, his ninja senses were always right! It was then that he realized. He actually forgot to get the pizza gyoza for his family. He hit himself in the head, mentally preparing for the upcoming lecture.

Daiki was bowed silently with his hands on the floor, in front of the Shredder, who was beyond furious. He may have been the first cause of said mood though. By coming back to base 15 minutes late and requesting permission to go searching for 'some guys in suits, but not really, as they were actually slimy brain squids in robot bodies' (He couldn't help it. The scientist in him was burning for answers to this strange description Mikey gave him). But all he received back was a hard and disapproving glare, but before Shredder could voice his opinion on the matter however, the two men who had been sent out hours earlier, to get rid of the Hamato students, were once again grovelling at his feet like scared kids, after yet another failure.

"This is unacceptable." Shredder growled, "My humble apologies, Master Shredder." Bradford whined out, like a child begging for forgiveness. While Xever fought back a growl from his humiliating defeat, "I swear, next time, we will- "

"Enough!" Shredders voice boomed through the room, Shutting them both up instantly. He turned to look at Daiki, who tried his hardest to avoid eye contact. He shot a glare at the two failed men in front of him before standing up from his throne.

"Morikawa. You are not to waste your time with distractions. Your mission was to find the Hamatos students, destroy them and find Splinter, that is final." Daiki in turn bowed his head respectfully to his Master in understanding, "I understand Master".

Shredder then made his way towards the two men, "I have grown tired of your excuses." He bellowed as Bradford and Xever moved to the sides to let him through, "If you two can't, then I shall deal with Hamato Yoshi's disciples myself." He said, leaving the three foot members speechless, and more determined then ever to prove themselves to him.

Note from Me! : Hope you all enjoyed this chapter!Oop- well that happened lol.I'm trying to do the actual story of the 2012, but with Daiki instead? Though it will change quite a bit obviously. :'D hopefully it works!Any feedback or reviews would be great! Just to know if people want more of this, Thanks again! :D
