Hi! Got another chapter for you all! ;D

Chapter 7

It was a casual, relaxing day in the Hamato lair. Raphael was busy playing away on the arcade machine, as Leonardo flipped through the TV channels. Hoping to find a certain show. While Miwa sat on the couch next to him, wearing her casual sweater and joggers, getting more and more frustrated at her immediate younger brother. "Seriously Leo, just pick something!" Miwa moaned.

With his three siblings doing their own thing, Mikey would have been texting D in his room or laying on the tire swing. But as said human boy hadn't been as active as normal these last couple of days. Michelangelo couldn't help but feel a little down, so he did the only thing he knew would make him feel better.

What that was, was revealed when he entered the lair's living area, looking quite pleased with himself as he walked up to Miwa and Leo with something behind his shell. "Who wants to try my latest creation?" Mikey declared happily. His siblings all turned to look at him with puzzled expressions. "We all love pizza, we all love milkshakes... So I combined them!"

"That sounds disgusting," Miwa said sticking her tongue out.

"I call it...A P-Shake!" Mikey announced to the world, hold out a blender filledd with some sort of liquid in it, with all the colours of pizza inside it.

His three siblings turnt a couple of shades paler.

"Pfff, You guys just have no sense of adventure…" Mikey waved off their reactions and drank a bit from the glass. His eyes widened, and he spat it back into the glass.

His older siblings groaned in disgust.

"Where did I go wrong?" Mikey said, looking at the blender sadly, before downing the entire thing.

His siblings groaned once more before looking away. Leonardo shuddered as he kept flipping the channel, trying to find something to block Mikey out. He perked up when his search was finally over, as an episode of Space Heroes came one.

"Really?" Miwa mocked.

"SHHH, This episode is one of the best!" Leo scolded as he went back to watching.

"In all my travels, I've never seen anything as cute as these trumpets." Captain Ryan stated, looking at the small pink puffballs with blue trumpet mouths.

"But I'll be darned if they're not the most annoying species in the cosmos." The trumpets, as if on cue, started honking louder. Making the entire ship cover their ears in an attempt to block them out.

"Captain, we've got to find a humane way to get rid of them!" Crankshaw pleaded with Ryan, having enough of the aliens.

"If there's one thing I'm known for, it's my humanity." Captain Ryan stated, strapping himself into his captain's seat. "Open the airlock." At his command, the airlock opened. Sending all the trumpets into deep space. Captain Ryan smiled, as did Leonardo.

"You have to be the only person on earth who likes this show," Raph told Leo, having walked over in the middle of the show.

"No way!" Leo defended. "There are millions of Spaceniks out there!"

Miwa scoffed at him as Raph snatched the remote from his hands, changing the channel. "I'm Joan Grody," A female reporter announced. "With a sewer shocker! City workers attacked! by mutants?"

Miwa and her three brothers all gasped at the mention of a mutant.

"It was like part man, part reptile. And all monster! It came out of nowhere and attacked me!" A sewer worker rambled on in the interview.

Miwa, Mikey and Leo all looked towards Raph in confusion. "It wasn't me!" he snapped at them.

"Take a look at this terrifying footage!" Grody announced, as a video of the same sewer worker showed him down in the sewers, showing how calm it was. When an massive looming mutant rose up from behind the guy growling. Attacking the man as he screamed for his mother, while the camera slammed on the floor multiple times. Finally pausing on a large gator in the entrance of the tunnel.

"Are malicious mutants menacing Manhattan?" The Woman asked rhetorically, coming back on the screen. "Find out next, on Grody to the Max."

"Well that can't be good" Miwa declared.

"The last thing we want is some mutant causing trouble in the sewers," said Leo, getting up.

"Or some news crew down here looking for him," Raph added.

"We've got to track this guy down and stop him ourselves," said Leo, grabbing his swords.

Miwa grabbed the remote, rewinding it, "Maybe there's a tunnel number?...There! Two eighty-one!"

"Let's go," said Leo.

TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT

As they walked down the sewer tunnels looking for the mysterious mutant, the team suddenly stopped as Leo seemed to notice something. "Woah, check this out…" He said crouching down. Putting his hand inside a deep footprint in the ground. It was at least three times bigger then his hand.

"What the heck made these footprints?" Miwa asked slightly concerned.

Leo got up and pointed down the tunnel, where the footprints lead. "Whatever it was, it went that way."

They followed the footprints down the tunnel, till a loud animalistic growl made them stop in their tracks. The sound of familiar Krangg lasers fired off in the distance, echoing around the tunnel as the walls illuminating pink with every shot. Showing the shadow of a very large mutant, and a handful of Kraang-droids.

The Hamatos ran forward to get a better look, sneaking around the corner, as Raphael had to suddenly duck when a Kraang-droid arm came flying his way. "Woah…"

An alligator mutant was stood in the middle of the opening, ripping Kraang-droids apart like they were paper. The lasers kept hitting him, but that just seemed to fuel his anger him further. A Kraang-droid hopped onto the gator's back to try and tackle him. But was quickly thrown off, as the gator bit the entire upper half off another Kraang-droid. He shaking it in his mouth, before throwing it away.

The Hamatos ducked again, as half of the Kraang-droid hit the wall. The Kraang brain inside, quickly exited its body, squealing in terror as it fled.

The sound of electricity hitting flesh made them get closer to the action. One of the Kraang-droids had a silver stick, that sizzled with pink electric. The gator groaned in pain as the droid plunged the stick into his side. It took a couple of hits to down the gator, breathing heavily as he tried desperately to stay awake.

"Tell Kraang in what place can be found the power cell that Kraang wishes to find the place of." the Kraang-droid said.

"Never!" The gator growled back.

The few remaining Kraang-droids took out electric sticks too, and began thrusting them into the gator, who could only roar in pain, as he felt his body get shocked repeatedly.

Mikey suddenly grabbed Raph's arm, tugging him along towards the gator. "C'mon, we gotta help him!" Mikey said urgently, pulling with all his strength.

Raph knocked him off his arm pretty easily. "I think 'gotta' is a strong word."

"Mikey, we don't know anything about that guy," said Leo cautiously. "He could be more dangerous than the Kraang."

"That gator dude needs our help!" Mikey pleaded. "I'm not waiting around for you cowards!"

"Have you lost your shell, Mikey?" Miwa questioned.

But Mikey wasn't listening to his siblings anymore. He took out his nunchakus, and charged at the Kraang with a yell. "BOOYAKASHA!"

His kusarigama chain hooked around one of the Droid's electric sticks, and as Mikey pulled on the chain. The stick lodged itself in a Kraang-droid's head, sending electricity through the exoskeleton.

"Well, I guess that settles it. Let's go whack some piñatas!" Raphael said, drawing his sai.

The fight was easily won by the Hamatos, slashing and smashing the Droids to bits. The two remaining Kraang-droids, decided to try and drag the unconscious gator away, but were taken down by Mikey in a few hits.

"We gotta get outta here before more Kraang-droids show up," said Leo, ushering the team away.

Mikey ran over to the gator, covering his massive head protectively by holding him. "We can't just leave him here!" Mikey yelled. "What if the Kraang find him?"

"Well what do you wanna do?" Leo asked sarcastically. "Take him back to the lair?"

Mikey looked up at his oldest brother showing his best puppy eyes.

"No oh, NO!" Leo crossed his arms. "Did you see what he did to those Kraang-droids? We arenottaking this monster home with us!"

"He's not a monster!" Mikey yelled back angrily. "He's a giant, Kraang crushing, mutant alligator monster!" He paused, "I said monster, didn't I?"

"Yep."

"Sure did."

"Uh huh."

"Well you know what I meant!" Mikey snapped at them.

"I thought you meant monster," said Raph sarcastically.

"Fine. I'll bring him back myself." Mikey said as he began to pull the alligator's tail. But he couldn't get him to budge even the slightest bit. As Mikey tried to grab him from around his side, the gator growled in pain, even in his unconscious state.

"He's hurt guys." Miwa pointed out the long gash on the alligator's side. "Maybe we should bring him back?" Mikey looked up gratefully to his sister for agreeing with him. Though both Leo and Raph looked at her like she was insane.

"Fine. We'll take him home for Splinter to look at. But how are we supposed to get him home?" Leo caved, and asked the question no one thought about.

There was a moment of silence as the four teens thought of was they could bring the gator home, without doing their backs in by dragging him.

"Oh!" Mikey shouted, "I bet Donnie could-" but was interpreted by a very peeved Raph.

"For the hundredth time! His name is Daiki! And what is it with you? If there's a slight problem, your first reaction is to text that Foot soldier!" He scolded him.

"I guess your right..." Mikey agreed, looking down at the hurt mutant.

"Yeah, I am." Raph replied cockily.

"I should call him instead!" Mikey said quickly, dialing the number.

"What!?" Raph shouted,

"No!" Miwa warned,

"Don't phone him!" Leo yelled,

The phone rang despite the protests.

It rang for a while, making the two brother's and sister wait on bated breath. Only for the ringtone to stop as the phone answered. Followed by a croaky reply of, "Moshi moshi?"

"Hey D! It's Mikey!" Mikey chirped much to happily for Daiki's liking.

"You wouldn't happen to have a forklift that could carry a eight foot tall Alligator mutant through the sewers, would yah?"

Said Foot ninja was currently in his pyjamas in his bedroom, lying down on his futon. Staring blankly at the ceiling above him, trying to comprehend what he just heard.

"...No?" He groaned, raising a tired eyebrow to the out of nowhere question.

"Oh ok, Thanks anyway, Dude!" The line went dead as the turtle hung up. The phones screen turnt black as green code came across it, giving a location to the foot soldier.

Daiki looked at his phone as the coordinates faded, and inwardly sighed as he got out of bed. This was going to be a long day...and it wasn't even 2am yet.

So much for his day off.

After a good thirty minutes of dragging the unconscious alligator across the sewers, the Hamato ninjas finally made it back home. Laying the gator out in the pit, with Mikey laying on him.

"I can't believe we let him talk us into this," Raph grumbled, annoyed that Mikey's puppy eyes worked once again.

Mikey lay on the gator's arm, hugging it like it were a massive pillow. "Awww, look at him." He said, grabbing his teddy bear for the gator to hold. "He's so peaceful."

"That's because he's out cold," said Leo smiling.

"Though that does remind me," Leo said, ushering Miwa in, who was carrying a few lengths of chain with her.

Mikey saw her however and get immediately defensive. "Woah, what are those for?"

"We not keeping him here unless he's chained to something, Mikey," Leo said firmly, moving out of the way for Miwa.

"That is so wrong!" Mikey shouted. "He's not gonna hurt us!" He hugged the gator again. "We're the ones who saved him."

Said gator started to hiss low, opening his eyes, and locking onto the first thing he saw. Mikey's siblings all took a step back. "See? He's perfectly calm." Mikey whispered confidently. "I bet the first thing he's gonna do is thank us-"

Suddenly, the gator threw Michelangelo away in a quick sweep, getting to his feet and letting out a menacing roar. The older siblings prepared themselves for the fight, as the gator ripped Mikey's teddy in two, in front of him.

"Or, maybe the second thing," Mikey said humorously.

The gator swung his arms out, trying to seize hold of the closest thing to him, but Raphael ducked under the massive hand rolling out of his path.

"Calm down dude!" Mikey said, picking up his nunchakus. He whirled the chain above his head, before throwing it at the gator. Wrapping it around the larger mutants wrist, before he could pull away.

Miwa, Leo and Raph grabbed the ends of the chain in order to help their little brother. But the three were painfully thrown against a wall, only Mikey being able to keep his hold on the chain as the gator lashed around. As the chaos ensued, Raph jumped onto the alligator's back, covering his eyes as the gator threw Mikey into the ceiling pipes, still holding onto the chain with all he had.

The gator suddenly growled louder as a electric stick was pushed into the back of his neck, stunning him.

"When did you get that?!" Miwa yelled at Raph as the alligator collapsed.

"What? I'm not allowed to collect souvenirs now?" Raphael joked as he twirled the stick like a gun, before putting it in his belt.

"What is all this commotion?" They all turned at the sharp voice of their Sensei.

Raph didn't hesitate. "Sensei, Mikey made us bring a mutant back to the lair, and it attacked us!"

Mikey picked himself up off the floor. "It needs our help!" he retorted.

"It's a dangerous monster!" Raph shouted back.

"Raphael!" Master Splinter stamped his staff down. "There is no monster more dangerous than a lack of compassion." The gator growled in it's unconscious sleep. "My mistake…"

"We're doing to him what everyone else does to us," said Mikey, pointing to the gator. "Judging him by his looks."

Miwa got in front of him, "He attacked us Mikey!"

Mikey ignored his sister, turning to Splinter. "He was fighting the Kraang, Master Splinter," Mikey continued, "It's like you always say! 'The enemy of my enemy, is my bro'!"

"That is not exactly what I said," Splinter said carefully. "But what's this about the Kraang?"

"They were trying to force him to tell them where they could find some...Power cell?" Leonardo supplied.

"And he refused to tell?" Splinter said, adding the dots together.

"Yeah!" Mikey said enthusiastically, re-enacting the scene. "They were all like, "Zap, zap, zap" and he was all like, "Rawr, never!"

"Hm… I see. You made a wise decision, Michelangelo." Splinter said finally.

Everyone turnted to their Sensei in shock. "Huh?"

"Yes, I never thought I'd hear myself say that either," Splinter said, surprised at his own words.

The Rat crouched beside the gator, running his paw gently over the open scar on the gator's chest. "Hm… His scars run deep. But they protect a genuine heart. When he awakens, Michelangelo, you must find a way to befriend him."

Mikey gave a thumbs up. "No problem-o."

"You need to learn what he knows about the Kraang," Splinter finished, standing up. He turned to Leo, Miwa and Raph. "In the meantime, you three should try to find this power cell before the Kraang can."

"Actually...Father." Miwa started doubtfully. "Would it be alright if I stayed with Michelangelo?" She finished, looking him in the eye.

"You may." He nodded, "Raphael, Leonardo. I assume you will be able to handle the task by yourselves?" He asked, receiving nods from said turtles.

"Um, we are chaining him up, right?" Raph asked unsure.

"Of course!" said Splinter. "I am compassionate, not insane." He finished by knocking his head with his staff.

TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT

They had been there for the better half of an hour, digging through torn up Kraang-droid parts in the sewer tunnel, trying to find the 'power cell'. Even though they had no idea what it looked like.

Leo and Raph were digging through the parts, looking for anything Kraang-y, in a pile of Kraang. Metal clattered throughout the tunnel as they tossed away anything that didn't look a power cell.

"I don't suppose this is a power cell?" Raph asked rhetorically, standing up.

Leo perked up, and got to his feet expectedly. "Oh…" He slumped down again when he realized it was just an empty can.

"Quit messing around, Raph. It's gotta be here somewhere." Leo said irritatedly. As he walked over to his Red-clad brother. Only for said brother to grab him by the shell. Shoving him against the wall, and putting a finger to his mouth, telling him to be silent.

There in the distance, the sudden sound of foot fall in the tunnel ahead caught Leonardo's attention.

"A sewer worker?" Leo whispered in question,

"Or the news-crew," Raph replied just as quietly, but he then began moving towards the tunnel exit, and towards the foot fall.

"Raph, wait!" But Leo's warning was ignored. As Raphael spun around the tunnel, ready to pin the person lurking around to the wall. But said person was just as ready for him, as he was for them. And ducked into a crouch, kicking the turtles legs out from under him.

Raphael groaned as he hit the muddy floor, inches away from a pool of water. But he was quick to get back up. Only to stare ahead in pure shock. "You! What are you doing down here!?" At Raph's yell, Leo turnt the corner to see the cause of the shout. Daiki was stood by Raphael, in a hoodie and jeans with a satchel round his torso. Though in 'normal' clothes, the boy still wore his fingerless gloves and boots. He was holding a travel mug with what smelt like strong coffee in it, and had the flashlight on his phone on, shining it at the two turtles.

"I'm here to deliver a forklift." Daiki replied to Raphael's question, sarcastically.

"What are you talking about?" Raph questioned, not liking the boy's sarcasm.

"The alligator guy Mikey phoned me about? He wanted a forklift or something?" He replied back simply, spacing out his sentence on purpose. "Though when I saw the gator on the news, I thought it was you at first when I saw the news." Daiki said looking pointedly at Raph.

Raphael scoffed, folding his arms before looking away. "Whatever gap-tooth."

Daiki scowled at the comment made, before turning the question back around on the turtle, not actually having actually answered it himself. "Though, I could ask you two the same thing, considering it was your brother who phoned me? And I don't see him with you? What exactly are you doing here." He asked bluntly.

"The Kraang knocked the gator out cold. He's back at our place, still unconscious with Mikey and Miwa. But he had something the Kraang wanted and we're trying to locate it." Leo told him, hoping maybe he could help them find it.

"What could an alligator possibly have that bunch of aliens would want?" Daiki asked him.

"A Power Cell." Raph said simply.

"Power Cell...?" Daiki questioned, hoping for more information. But when it didn't come, he pursued on. "A Power Cell for what?"

"We don't know! Hence why we're looking for it! To find out!" Raphael yelled out annoyed. Walking over to the pool of water, followed closely by the others.

"If an alligator wanted to hide something, where would he put it?" Leonardo muttered to himself.

"Have you tried looking underwater?" Daiki asked him in a weridly scientific voice. Making the two older turtles look at him. "Alligators love to drag their prey to the bottom of swamps-" He was promptly cut off by himself yelping, as Raphael pushed him into the pool. Making him drop his phone and coffee onto the sewer floor.

"What was that for?" said Leo, slightly grinning at the scene.

"Eh, I don't like big sciencey talk" Raph replied.

Suddenly, Daiki's head resurfaced, coming out of the water coughing. "Hey!" he said between his coughs. "This pool is deeper than it looks, it keeps going!"

"Well…" Leo got to his feet. "Sounds like we should-" He too was interrupted by a startled yell as he suddenly hit the water.

"Way ahead of you," said Raph grinning.

When the gator awoke to full consciousness, he found himself in a strange place, "Where am I?" He growled low. The mutant suddenly became aware of his chains. And started a panicked struggle to get free, as his roars echoed around the lair.

"Well, look who's awake." Michelangelo announced cheerfully, as he and his Sister walked back into the living room, Mikey was carrying a large pot and stood next to the gator, while Miwa seemed to keep her distance from said mutant.

"You! Set me free!" The alligator roared, as he tried to reach for the youngest turtle.

"Oh, yeah, sorry about the chains. The guys said I had to keep you locked up or you might attack me." Mikey said sadly, looking at the gators chained wrists.

"Um he did attack you?" Miwa added, but Mikey just waved her off.

The gator growled impatiently, "Who are you? What am I doing here?"

"I'm Michelangelo! And this is my Sis, Miwa." He finished by holding out his hand in a warm sign of friendship, only for the mutant to snap his jaws at him in reply.

"My fam and I saved you from the Kraang."

"Kraang!" The alligator roared furiously, starting to yank on his chains madly. Making Miwa step in front of her brother protectively.

"Whoa, whoa! It's okay. You're safe." Mikey yelled over the gators blind rage, calming the beast slightly. "We brought you here so you could get better. And nothing will heal you faster.-" He stepped around Miwa and towards the gator, spooning for some of the liquid in the pot, before presenting it to the mutant. Spilling half the spoons contents on the floor in the process. "than my world famous pizza noodle soup!"

The alligator sniffed, and was drawn to the smell of the soup, opening his mouth to receive the spoon, then taking in the flavours of the liquid. "This is the best thing, I have ever tasted." He announced as he licked his mouth.

"Really? All right! Somebody finally likes my cooking!" Mikey chirped as he sat down in front of the gator.

"Unbelievable..." Miwa muttered, as she watched her little brother spoon feed the enormous mutant as if it were a puppy.

TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT

It's a known fact that turtles can hold your breath underwater for a long time. Humans on the other hand, cannot. So as Leo and Raph emerged from the water slowly and taking their time to make sure no one was around, Daiki burst out of the water gasping like a mad man, clinging to a pipe like it was his only life line while he caught his breath.

They had surfaced in an unfamiliar part of the sewers. Full of pipes and debris everywhere. Untouched for a good decade or so. Leonardo exited the water first, making sure the coast was clear, while Daiki followed closely after. Ringing out the water from his hoodie. Though it was in vain, as both Leo and Daiki yelped in surprise as Raphael shook the water off himself like a wet dog, soaking the two once more.

"Sometimes it's good to be a turtle," Raph said satisfied.

"Speak for yourself." Daiki groaned as sat down to he empty his boot of any water.

Only to stand up and have to immediately dodge sideways as a stop sign flew at both his and Leo's heads. Embedding itself in the far wall behind them.

Both the ninjas looked at each other before checking on the red clad turtle. Only to begin screaming in fear at the sight of the headless turtle. Raphael promptly pulled his head out of his shell, eyes widened. "And sometimes it's good to be a short turtle…"

The room started shaking, as the pipes rattling, and debris started to fall from the ceiling. "This place has been booby trapped!" Daiki exclaimed in fear.

"Run!" Leo yelled, only to look up and see the other two were already running down the tunnel, screaming as pieces of pipes and signs came flying towards them, narrowly missing being impaled multiple times. Leo had to side slide as signs flew at him from behind. Spikes popped out of the ground, nearly impaling Raph. And Daiki had to slide underneath an enormous pipe, which had nearly crushed him. All the while screaming for their lives.

Leo looked over his shoulder and saw about half a dozen oil barrels, covered in metal spikes, rolling towards the three of them from a hidden compartment in the roof.

Daiki and the two brothers yelled, running straight into a wall that had 'GET OUT' spray painted on it. They went straight through it and landed painfully on the floor. Leo yelped when one last spike flew forward and sliced across his hand.

Once they had broken through the wall, they found themselves in a small chamber. With the barrels piled up behind them.

"Whatever this power cell is, it must be pretty important," Leo stated as he began wrapping his hand up. They looked around the chamber. Though it really wasn't anything remarkable, just a hole in the wall. Both the turtles turnt as Daiki gasped suddenly. He had pressed his hand against the wall, opening a hidden section in the wall that slid aside. The three gasped when they saw the reason for the secret compartment. The source, was a glowing crystal in a tube, casting pink light over the entire place.

"Whoa! This thing is putting out some power," Daiki suddenly said, pulling out some wires from his satchel, and touching them to the tube. Only to then be thrown across the room with a flash of pink electricity. Briefly opening his eyes before coughing up ash, as he fell forward. The two turtle siblings couldn't help but smile when he got up. His brown hair was standing up from the shock of pure static electricity. "WOW! I gotta run some tests on that!!" Daiki shouted back intensely. Going straight back to the tube as if he didn't just get launched across the room by it. Leo couldn't help but chuckl at the boy's enthusiasm, while Raphael just face palmed.

Soon, they were making their way back to the water tunnel, with Daiki carrying the power cell in his satchel. Luckily for them, they had deactivated all the traps on their way to the room, so the three didn't have to worry about losing their heads again.

"Any idea what they would use it for?" Leo asked intrigued, knowing Daiki was probably the only one beside the gator who would know how the power cell worked.

"Well, with the right components it could power almost anything," Daiki answered back ecstatically, "Flashlight, blaster cannon, city on the moon!"

"I'd like to take it to my Lab," asked Daiki hopefully. "Mikey knows the location. And it's a thirty minute drive away from where you found me seaching. No one comes near it as no one knows the location...except Mikey of course." He rubbed his neck awkwardly.

"I mean... I don't see why not?" said Leo, nodding to him.

"Wait, Leo. Shouldn't we take it home and ask the gator what it is?" suggested Raph, not fully trusting the idea of the foot soldier leaving with a weapon made by the Kraang!

"He's probably still unconscious." Leo replied, "Maybe we should let Daiki have a go at it, he might be able to figure it out?" Said boy smiled at him for agreeing with his plan.

"Fine." Raphael said gruffly.

"Great!" said Daiki. "But who's gonna carry it through the water?" The boy asked, not expecting to turn and see the older turtles grinning at him. He froze. "No way! I've already been shocked by this thing once!" He yelled angrily.

"I'm sure it'll be fine," Leo said reassuringly, patting him on the shoulder. "But you go first, ok?"

Daiki glared at him before nervously reaching his boot down towards the water. Only for Raphael to suddenly grab him round the shoulders and shake him violently, making a buzzing noise. The boy yelped, juggling his satchel about, before bringing it close to his chest. Raphael laughed at his antics.

"Not funny!" Daiki scolded him angrily, before being pushed into the water by the red turtle.

When Raph and Leo finally made it back to the lair, they were greeted by Miwa and Mikey, who were waiting for them. "Hey guys!" Mikey said happily, getting in front of them. "Leatherhead is totally off the chain."

The brothers went into an absolute panic at that.

"You mean you set him free?" Raph said incredulously.

"What?" Mikey questioned. "No. Off the chain means he's cool." The older turtles sighed, slumping with relief. "And that's why I set him free!"

They yelped, looking at the enormous mutant gator, who stood holding one of the kitchen pots. And a crooked smile on his snout, as Mikey waved cheerfully.

"Don't look too shocked guys." Miwa said sarcastically, getting next to Mikey. But was interpreted by a very peeved Leo.

"You two shouldn't have unchained him!" Leo scolded, glaring at his youngest and oldest siblings. "What if he goes berserk?"

"He's not gonna go berserk," said Mikey as he walked over to the newly dubbed 'Leatherhead', patting him on the snout, smiling. "He's totally mellow."

Miwa narrowed her eyes at Mikey, knowing the gator was still unpredictable and not 'mellow'. "Why don't you ask him something Leo?" Leatherhead nodded at the girl.

"Ok…" Leo said doubtfully, getting closer. "So… Leatherhead," he spoke slowly. "About the Kraang…"

Suddenly, the pot dropped from the gator's grasp, as his eyes clouded over, and he roared as he whipped his tail frantically around. Mikey was quickly on top of him, stroking the gator's head calmingly.

"Dude! Chill! Chill!" Leatherhead dropped to his hands and knees, breathing heavily. Mikey turned to glare at Leo. "What were you thinking?" he said through gritted teeth.

"You said he was mellow!" Leo snapped back.

"I didn't know you were gonna ask him about the you-know-who!" Mikey hissed at his brother.

"Ok," Leo began. "What should I do?"

"I don't know," said Mikey. "Maybe start with an icebreaker, like, 'How was your day?' "

"Fine…" Leo sighed. "Um… Leatherhead…" He stepped forward. "How was your day?"

"It started out awful," the mutant replied in very low voice.

"Yeah," said Mikey. "You were attacked by the Kraang."

He roared furiously as everyone glared at Mikey.

"My bad!" Mikey shouted sheepishly, jumping onto Leatherhead's shoulders. "Woah, buddy!" He moved to massage the gator's sides. "Cleansing breaths…" He massaged his foot, "Cleansing breaths…" Leatherhead dropped to his hands and knees again, and Mikey massaged his shoulders. "Cleansing breaths…"

Leatherhead breathed deeply, becoming lucid again. "You know you're in a safe place now, right?" Mikey said gently, stroking Leatherhead's head.

"Yes," Leatherhead said slowly.

"My bros just want to ask you a few questions," Mikey said calmly. "Do you think you can handle that?" He looked at the gator with a kind hearted smile.

Leatherhead breathed in deeply. "Yes…"

"Ok…" Mikey turned to his older brothers, smiling. "Now, what was it you guys wanted to ask?"

Raph shoved Leo forward, looking away innocently, as Leo went towards Leatherhead. "Ok, Leatherhead. We just wanna know what the...thing is that the the...robots were after? The thing you hid from them?"

"And why their after you?" Raphael added.

The alligator looked at them all uncertainly. Slowly picking himself up into a sitting position, as he took deep calming breaths. Having Mikey hold his hand made him feel more relaxed.

"I was raised by a kind, human boy." The gator began in a growling voice. "Until his parents discovered me, and dumped me in the sewer. The Kraang found me, and took me to their dimension. They mutated me, and subjected me to horrible experiments. But they could not break my spirit. Six months ago, I escaped through the portal, that they use to travel to earth, and I stole the power cell." He finished by taking more breaths, reassured by Mikey patting his arm, that he was doing good.

"What is the power cell for?" Leo questioned.

"It powers the portal," Leatherhead explained. "Without it, no Kraang can enter, or leave this dimension. But the thing is, they are able to track it, if it is above ground. I swore to keep it from them, and spare this world from their evil, even at the cost of my own life."

"Wait. They can track it. If it's above ground?" Raph said starring at the gator in shock. Leo soon went wide eyed as he too realized their error.

"Yes." Leatherhead began," That is why I hide it underground-"

"Daiki has it." Leo muttered out.

"What?" Mikey and Miwa said in unison.

"Daiki has it." Raphael repeated.

Leatherhead's eyes clouded over once more, and he went straight for the two turtles. But was stopped as Mikey wrestled his head into a soothing headlock.

"Why would you give it to him?" Miwa yelled at her two younger brothers, slapping them across the heads.

"Nevermind that! He said Mikey knows where to find his lab, We gotta go there and get that thing back underground asap!" Leo began shouting.

"Yeah I know where it is! It's like a really small abandoned warehouse." Mikey said holding Leatherhead's hand and petting it like a puppy.

"Well quit standing around and lead the way genius!" Raph yelled as he made his way towards the turnstiles, followed quickly by a angry and determined Leatherhead, then the rest of the Hamatos.

In a small abandoned warehouse a few blocks away from the lair, sat a makeshift lab. Only made 2 months ago by a Japanese kid looking to get away from clan life every now and then, and engross himself into the world of technology.

Being only 2 months since the warehouse was once again in function, one would think it would be pretty sparse inside. With little to nothing in it. But Daiki had projects and experiments lined up and in the making scattered all around him. A large square island was smack in the centre of the room, with the four walls surrounding it all having protruding bits of wall he used as desks. In the corner nearest the door was a waist height object covered by a white sheet. And the corner opposite that, was a large wooden trunk, its contents a mystery.

Daiki had been working with the cell for no less then 20 minutes when he discovered just how power it was...It really could power a city on the moon! If he could just figure out how to use it without getting himself blown up or electrocuted...

He was busy readying his fifth attempt at figuring out the power cell, the last four having blown up in his face. When a knock came at the steel door, stealing his attention away. Before he could answer it, said person entered anyway. Three green figures followed by a girl in a dark green sweater marched through the door as if they owned the place.

Daiki turnt to greet them, "Oh, hey-" only to stop himself, when he saw the massive gator enter shortly after the rest of the Hamatos. The looming gator was growling at him angrily. And it only took the foot soldier a second to realise he was peeved about him taking the power cell.

"Donnie, this is Leatherhead. Leatherhead, Donnie" Mikey introduced them to each other. Overwhelmed by happiness that his two best friends were meeting. Only for the most undesirable outcome to happen.

The change was instant, and no one could prepare for it. "Thief!" Leatherhead growled as he seized hold of Daiki's face, roaring angrily.

"This is not my day!" Daiki yelled as he beat the gator's arm frantically. Only being released from the gators grasp, when Michelangelo started patting the alligator's tail calmly. And Leo, Miwa and Raph all pulled at the boys legs. The gator dropped him down into the floor. To which the foot soldier scurried away to hide behind Leo.

"Daiki, that power cell is what makes the Kraang portal open." Leo began in a serious tone, while Mikey finished calming the gator. "We can't let them get it back, or else more of them will come through! But their able to track the cell above ground!"

"So we gotta get this thing underground." Daiki caught on.

"Yes! So we have to leave! Like yesterday!" Raphael rushed him.

"Yes. R-Right" Daiki stuttered as he sidestepped the alligator, while being careful of the power cell. Placing it into his satchel, then giving it to the gator in a peace offer. Leatherhead took the bag gently and nodded to the boy, who couldn't help but chuckle nervously at the massive head grabbing creature. Grabbing his Bō staff in the process As the group made to leave the lab.

However Mikey's curiosity caught something in the corner of his eye. He spotted a white sheet covering something near the door, and his attention was immediately gone.

"Oh! What's under here!" Mikey said ecstatically, like a child on Christmas. As he began lifting up the white sheet covering something in the corner.

"No don't!-" Daiki tried to stop him but was too late.

Under said sheet, was a waist tall robot. That looked alot like a turtle, black and silver in colour. With a black metal shell, a strange symbol on its head, and a red foot insignia on it's right chest plate.

"Dude is this a turtle bot?" Mikey cheered in awe.

"Um No...?" Daiki muttered.

"Wait a minute. What's it made out of?" Miwa questioned, recognising the familiar metallic colour.

Daiki looked at the ground nervously, as he fiddled with his hoodie strings. "Um I may have reverse-engineer some Kraang Tech...?"

"Wait. Where did you get-" Raphael began but was interpreted by Mikey.

"Aawww he's so cute!" Mikey cooed, as he scratched it's chin. Only for the tiny turtle-bot to turn on. Glowing red eyes locked onto the bigger turtle as it pulled out an entire arsenal on him. Including a laser blaster, a flame thrower, a pair of wings, a bat, and much, much, much more.

Mikey screamed and throw himself backwards, the other Hamatos also froze up at the sight of the Robot.

Daiki chuckled and pet the robot on the head. "He doesn't like being tickled." Deactivating the small bot and placing the sheet back over him. "And he's a work in progress." He opened the lab door and slapped Mikey across the head. "Now let's go!"

They had ran a good distance away from the lab by now, and had ended up in a abandoned subway car graveyard. They followed the train tracks a little more till they came across a larger, broken down subway car. Deciding to use it as shelter, the group ran in and slammed the door behind them.

Though said car looked alot bigger on the outside however, as they soon found out, trying to squeeze a eight foot tall alligator, three human sized turtles and two actual humans into the cramped space provided a painfully task.

"We should wait in here for a while. To make sure the power cell wasn't tracked." Leatherhead said as he got comfortable in the car.

The teens all decided to take a breather too, hoping that they had been quick enough to get the cell back underground again. As they hide in a subway car for more then five minutes, the silence grow. Making everyone more on edge then necessary. So Mikey thought to start up a conversation, one he had been meaning to have for a few days now.

"Hey...um Donnie?" Mikey asks uncomfortably, "Did I do something too make you mad?"

The question caught Daiki off guard as he was preoccupied with watching the gator closely, "Um No? Why? Should I be mad?"

"No? I mean I hope not? It's just...you stopped texting me." Mikey stuttered out nervously, "Did I do something wrong?"

"...No?" Daiki answered vaguely, but looking up to see five faces all on him made him nervous.

"No, you didn't. But its...complicated. Ok?" Daiki said, hoping for that to be the end. But he looked around at the wrong time. Seeing Mikey's sad puppy dog face, he had to force himself to look away before they started to work on him...

"No Mikey you didn't do anything wrong, but if the wrong guy finds out that I'm talking to you-"

"Wrong guy?" Raph interpreted him. Making the brunette slightly nervous.

"Who are you talking about, Daiki?" Miwa asked reluctantly.

"I don't know yet!" The boy suddenly shouted. "The Shredder is bringing in an assassin to get rid of you three, so he has a better shot at getting Miwa back." He said looking at the turtles specifically.

"This guy is extremely dangerous. Like, I could get hurt if he found out I even spoke to you, sort of guy!" He continued, getting more and more anxious.

"So Bradford told me to stop talking to you, and too pick a side. B-but I couldn't! So it was easier to just try and ignore you." Daiki looked away from them all once he was done. Annoyed at himself for telling so many things to his enemy.

The car was silent for a good minute before someone found their voice.

"Why couldn't you pick a side?" Leatherhead asked out of the silence.

"I..." Daiki stopped himself. Making everyone in the car look to him once more, "I don't know."

"Being on your side. Being your friend... Means being with Yoshi..." Daiki spat their father's name out with disgust. Making Raphael and Miwa glare at him slightly.

"And I'd rather die then be loyal to that murderer." He muttered to himself, though it was audible enough for everyone in the car to hear. The Hamatos all looked around at each other.

While Mikey looked at his friend with sad eyes, "D-"

The subway car suddenly shock, throwing everyone inside it to the side. Leatherhead roared as he began protectively clinging to the power cell.

"Give to Kraang the power cell that the Kraang has come to demand that you give to Kraang!" A painfully familiar voice called from outside the car.

"It's the Kraang!" Mikey shouted.

"Quick!" Leo ordered. "Barricade the doors!"

Raph and Mikey ran forward and tried to pull the door shut, but it got jammed halfway. The Kraang-droids started piling in, slowly trying to make their way over to the gator. Leo had to slice apart a droid that was trying to take the satchel from Leatherhead. There was a loudslamas Raph and Mikey finally managed to shut the door.

There were a few bangs all around them. Then there was silence. Nobody spoke, or dared move. Suddenly, the blade of a chainsaw buried itself into the door, just between Mikey and Miwa's heads. Another one was shoved through the roof, and another into the wall as the Kraang tried to saw them out of the car. The severed hand Leo cut of the droid started crawling around the floor before leaping up and grabbing Daiki's face. Said boy yelled as he tried to pry the thing off. Only for Leonardo to get the same treatment. Michelangelo screamed when the disembodied droid head that had flew into his hands came to life. And Miwa and Raph were just barely able to get all the chainsaws out, when several pairs of robotic hands started reaching into the car from the holes recently made, grabbing at them.

"We're surrounded!" Raph snapped.

"We'll never hold 'em off!" Mikey cried.

"We gotta get outta here!" said Leo, looking around for a possible exit, frantically. "Daiki, can you get this subway cart running?"

"This track is dead, there's no electricity!" said Daiki bluntly, using his bō to try and block the door.

"What about the power cell?" Leo asked. "Can you use that?"

"I-I might be able to hook it up to the motor. But I'll need time!" He answered.

"I will buy you time," Leatherhead said as he stood up.

"Um. What's he planning?" Miwa questioned, pushing her back against the door.

Leatherhead looked down at Mikey with the same kind hearted smile the turtle gave him earlier. "My friend, you have trusted me, now I am you." He lifted his hand up and dropped the satchel containing the power cell into Mikey's hands.

"I will deal with the Kraang…" And with that, Leatherhead flung open the door and charged out at the crowd of Kraang-droids, roaring like a beast.

"I'll take that!" Daiki said urgently, taking the power cell out the bag and using his naginata blade to open up the motor box.

"Daiki, we're running out of time!" Leo shouted as he tried to force the doors shut.

"I'm working as fast as I can!" Daiki snapped back at the turtle in blue, freaking out a little from stress. Miwa and Mikey were pinned against the door, trying to kept the robots at bay, while the two other turtles were punching the ones trying to crawl in through the window, back out.

"Daiki! Would you hurry up-!" Raph shouted.

"Got it!" Daiki thrust the power cell into the motor box. There was a loud wiring sound, and a pink glow from the power cell, as it started getting louder and louder.

Suddenly, all five ninjas where thrown against the back of the subway car. Speeding down the track, all screaming as they went faster than they had ever thought possible. After what felt like an eternity, Daiki finally managed to pull the brakes. Were all five ninjas fell forward as the car began to slow down, before coming to an abrupt halt. They all slumped into a heap on the floor. Panting crazily after what they had just experienced.

"What was that all about!?" Miwa questioned as she looked up, trying to make sense of her surroundings, walking over to the car's doors and opening them.

"Where the heck are we?" Leo asked, looking around.

"By my calculations…" Daiki sniffed the air, and grimaced. "Ugh. Sewage plant."

"Wow," Mikey breathed in awe. "It's as beautiful as they say…"

Raph sighed out in annoyance "Can we just go back home now?"

"What do we do about the car? We can't leave it in the middle of the road." Miwa started.

"We push it back into the tunnels." Daiki stated matter of factly, "That way you can keep an eye on the power cell. And I'm sure you'll think of something to do with the car?"

"Fine. Whatever." Raph said throwing his hands up, as he went to the back of the car to start pushing. Joined soon by the others.

"Daiki." Everybody looked round to Miwa, who had just addressed the boy, "What you said earlier, about picking a side?" She questioned. "Have you?"

There was a pause as Daiki looked at the four of them. Truly thinking the question over. "Yes. I have." He smiled at her sincerely. He had indeed chose his side.

TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT

After the car was pushed into the tunnels, the Hamatos and the foot soldier went their separate ways. The Hamatos kept towing the car until it was outside the lair.

When the ninjas got back to their home, they promptly went their separate ways. With Leo heading to the Dojo with Miwa and Raph going to the pit to read his comic.

Michelangelo headed for the kitchen, feeling hungry from his eventful night. He looked in the fridge for some leftover pizza, but was startled to see Master Splinter suddenly enter, making his way to the stove to boil some tea.

"Oh, hey Sensei," he said cheerily.

"Hello, Michelangelo," Splinter replied with a warm smile. "Would you like a cup, my son?" He said, holding a orange mug up in question.

"Oh, yeah please!" Mikey accepted, taking a seat at the end of the table, as he waited patiently for his Sensei to finish boiling the water. Once he was done, he poured the water into two cups with green tea powder in them. Mixing them calmly, and in a memorizing manner. Before bringing the mug to his son and sitting beside him.

Mikey blew on his tea for a minute or so, before he started sipping. Relaxed at how the day had went. Making a new friend, while also making up with D, things couldn't have gone better. He lowered his mug after finishing his tea, full of happiness and contentment.

But little did he or the Hamatos know however, that inside the car where a certain item was meant to be. Was a covered up, emptied out mutagen glass, the exact size and shape of the power cell.
