Chapter 9

When Daiki Morikawa went to his makeshift lab yesterday night, he was unaware of the events he was about to cause.

With the Shredder's permission, Daiki had been allowed his lab privileges back. Now that the armoured man saw his projects as potential opportunities for his Clan, rather than a distraction.

And even better, Xever and Baxter were off on their own little mission, while Tigerclaw and Bradford were doing some preparation work for some sort of deal in a couple of days, down at the docks. Which was a great thing, as it meant more time to himself.

There were so many experiments that needed upgrades, or projects yet to begin. But what was gnawing at him the most, was the Kraang Power Cell.

He found, that if he contained it in a lead glass shield, the Cell was near to impossible to trace. Hence it's brand new container. But Daiki wanted to see just how much power this thing had in it. On the fact alone, that it had made a dead subway car practically fly from one half of the city to the next in a matter of minutes, it only secured his interest in the alien tech. And luckily for him, he had a certain motorcycle that had been needing a new engine. And the Power Cell would fit quite nicely into the engine's slot.

It was the perfect 'small test run'.

In a few minutes, Daiki was geared up for the test run. Motorcycle helmet, gloves and boots all on for safety. As well as his foot uniform. (For the padding and armour the shozoku provided.)

The Power Cell, with extreme caution, was finally added into the bike. Daiki took a few steps back just in case the Cell had a reaction to the bike. But nothing happened. So he shrugged it off, and went to open the doors. Grabbing his bike, and positioning it in front of the door.

Daiki got onto the bike and hit the kick starter. He took a deep breath in to calm his nerves, "Ok Daiki, just ease into first gear-" He muttered to himself confidently, as he gently twisted the gear. Only to break off into a shout, as the bike practically flew out the doors and along the sidewalk.

He clung to the handles as it took him a few seconds to readjust himself and the bike, so he wouldn't hit any of the parked cars. Once he was stable, and on the road again. He sighed in relief that the bike worked as normal, though he had a feeling he was going a bit too fast for first gear. That was when he noticed he was still indeed in first gear, and yet, was going up to 60mph! And the bike was still getting faster! He caught sight of a faint pink trail left behind the bike in his mirror as he blazed down the street. His mahogany eyes lit up with glee, and he couldn't help the big grin that grew on his face as he raced around the corner.

Daiki had been around the morgoritey of the city in less then an hour. When he decided it was about time he headed back to his warehouse to fill in his notes.

Everything was going fine, as he was just a few meters away from his Lab. That was, until a chubby man in a turtle suit ran straight across the road randomly.

The man started screaming as he tried to dodge the upcoming motorcycle, but fell straight on his face instead, hitting his stomach on the sidewalk.

Daiki swerved out of the way, and had to immediately slam the brakes on before he went headfirst into the building ahead. "What the heck?" He questioned as he looked back at the downed guy on the road.

Daiki walked over to him to check he was alright, having just landed quite painfully. "Are you okay?" He asked holding out a hand.

"Uh, sure. Y-you can survive with just one kidney, right?" The guy groaned in reply as he took the outstretched hand.

It was at this moment that Daiki happened to catch sight of the strange costume the guy was wearing. The green 'skin', the badly made 'shell', the oddly familiar red bandana mask? It was blatantly obvious who he was dressed as. "Why are you dressed like Raphael?" The brown-haired boy asked in utter confusion.

"Oh! You know the turtles too?" The man asked estaciticly, his injuries long forgotten.

"Um, yeah. But, how do you know they exist?" Daiki inquired while he went to get his bike off the floor.

"Oh, I saw them months ago!" the guy stated enthusiastically. "There was this huge metal machine guy! All like, ksh! Ksh! Ksh! Then therewas this blue turtle guy like,"Let's finish this!" Oh, and the red turtle guy was like,"You're going down!" And there was a girl there too! like,"Not if I get him first!" Oh! then the orange turtle was all like,"Beeees!" He then pointed at Daiki. "Oh, and you were like…!" He paused, rubbing his chin in thought. "Wait, were you there?"

There was a moment of silence as Daiki added the event together, while also remembering a conversation he had with Mikey earlier that night. He came to his conclusion, rather quickly. "You must be Mikey's Stalker." Daiki muttered deadpan as he began walking his bike back to his lab.

The slightly heavyset man started to follow after the other boy. "You may call me…the Pulverizer! New York's newest superhero!"

'The Pulverizer' then proceeded to do a couple of random moves, accompanied with sounds and words. "Zudo! Kah! Punch, punch! Yah!"

Daiki just stared at him in disbelief, "Uh huh."

"They inspired me to become a hero!" the Pulverizer continued after he finished his 'demonstration'. "I saw those guys and thought, what have they got that I haven't?"

Daiki looked at him slightly irritated. "Years of training from a master of ninjutsu?" Daiki said it slowly to let it sink in.

"No," the Pulverizer said casually, waving him off, then leaning closer to the brunette before whispering. "They're all mutants!" He finished with a giant grin.

"Miwa's human." Daiki stated bluntly.

"Is she though?" He asked winking.

"Yes!"

The Pulverizer gasped loudly, he then started poking Daiki's cheek. "Are you in the Homato Clan too?!" The man then leant closer to Daiki's ear. "Are you a mutant too?"

Daiki slapped his hand away and blinked at him in disbelief. "It's Hamato, and no I'm human. And I'm part of the Foot Clan."

"There's two ninja clans?" The Pulverizer questioned uncertainly. "Wait, what's the point of two ninja clans? Why don't you all just fight together?" His lips curved into a mighty grin. "Imagine how awesome that'd be!!" He beamed.

Daiki groaned at the oblivious man, "The Hamato and Foot Clans have been at war for decades. It's always been like-"

"But your friends with them, right? The Hamatos?"

Daiki stopped and gave him a contemplative glance for a moment, but ended up choosing to ignore him. He got to his lab doors and pushed them open, then turnt around for a split second for his bike. "Well this has been fun, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to..."

"Whoa, this place is amazing!"

Daiki groaned in annoyance when he realized the Pulverizer had gone into his lab. And as soon as he went in too, he saw the guy was playing around with Daiki's robot.

"Hey, don't touch that!" Daiki exclaimed.

The Pulverizer turned his attention to a Kraang-droid part on one of the desks. "Hey, what's this?" he said, picking it up and staring at it in awe.

Only for Daiki to snatch it out of his hands, scowling. "That looks like the stuff thoses purple guys were stealing earlier" the Pulverizer said pointing at the part.

"That's impossible," Daiki replied, "this is Kraang tech."

"W-what's a Kraang?" The Pulverizer asked completely clueless.

"The Kraang are aliens from another dimension-" Daiki answered, then paused, "Wait, why would the Purple Dragons want Kraang parts- Oh...Dexter." He sighed in response to his own question. Setting aside the Kraang tech in a desk, only to then have the end of his own bō staff jabbed near his head.

"Wicked staff!" The Pulverizer smirked as he continued using the weapon like a baseball bat.

"Put that down." Daiki groaned as he tried to take it off of the guy.

But the Pulverizer just moved away and continued messing around, "Check out my sweet moves!"

"I said put that down!" Daiki shouted. Making another attempt to get the bō.

"No, let me show you this one thing." Pulverizer said, as he then proceeded to try and twirl the bō staff around, but he grabbed the heavily modified staff in the wrong place, and sent out two blades from either end of the staff.

Luckily for him, Daiki managed to grab the weapon just before he could get hurt, "Look, I'm busy here-"

Out of the blue, Daiki's phone began going off as a call came in. He pulled the staff off of the man and hit him on top of the head, then answered his phone.

"Morikawa," he answered in a formal tone.

"DONNIE! We need help! Raph's been bitten by a giant poisonous robotic fish!" Mikey yelled at the top of his lungs.

Daiki had to pull the phone away from his ear, before he went completely deaf. "You mean Xever? And if Raph was bitten, it's venom, not poison."

Mikey was silent for a minute before yelling down the phone. "Interesting, interesting. Get over here!"

"I can't! If Xever sees me helping you-"

"What if we meet you outside?" Miwa's voice suddenly asked from the other side of the phone, clearly having took it from Mikey.

Daiki took a moment to think it through, the risks of being caught were too high. But he owed the red-clad turtle, he did save his life the other day...

Daiki agreed and hung up. He grabbed his helmet once more. And went to a small fridge in the corner. Pulling out a vial of antidote for Xever's venom, (thank goodness he thought to take samples from Bradford and Xever when they first mutated) and went back over to his bike near the door.

"Wait! Let me come too! I can totally help!"

Daiki was about to say no, but he didn't like the idea of leaving the guy outside near his lab. "Fine, just don't get in the way." He sighed as he got onto his motorcycle.

The Pulverizer fist bumped the air in exhilaration, "Alright!" And ran to jump onto the bike. His suit squeaked as he shuffled more onto the seat, and wrapped his arms around Daiki like a seatbelt.

"So, um. You don't go too fast, do you?" The suited man asked nervously. Unbeknown to him that Daiki was smirking under his helmet.

TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT

The motorcycle booked it down the road, at almost 70mph. Straight towards Baxter's new lab, and at record time too. As the two could see the building rapidly approaching in the distance. Only to come across a blockade in the road for construction.

The Pulverizer tapped Daiki's shoulder, "The road's blocked. We gotta go around."

"No time to go around. We gotta jump it." Daiki replied, speeding up.

"What?!" Pulverizer shouted, getting nervous.

"You wanted to be a hero, right? Well heroes don't take short cuts! They just go for it!"

"Yeah, uh, about the hero thing..." He started to mutter as he frantically tried to take the handles and steer Daiki away from the blockade.

Daiki turnt to face the guy, elbowing him in the gut, "What are you doing?!" He yelled as the engine roared louder, working up to the jump. But the bike was off by just a little.

The motorcycle barely went onto the makeshift ramp, and flew over a large hole yet to be filled in by cement. Landing unceremoniously with a loud crash against the desired building.

Luckily Daiki had grabbed the Pulverizer and jumped off the motorcycle, groaning from where he was now lead on the sidewalk, with the Pulverizer a few meters away.

"Donnie!"

Both Daiki and the Pulverizer jumped to their feet when they saw the Hamatos running over to them. Mikey was in the lead, followed closely by a slightly injured Miwa and Leo carrying the still disoriented Raph.

The two siblings laid Raphael down in front of Daiki and the Pulverizer.

"Raph, you still with us, buddy?" Daiki asked as he kneelt down beside the turtle. momentarily noticing the bandage on his plastron.

Raph turned his head to face him lazily. "Donnie?"

"Um...Yeah, Raph." Daiki muttered, unsure if he should correct him.

"Why are there fingers on my feet?" Raph asked.

Daiki stopped and look at his feet in confusion. "Hang in there, buddy," Daiki said as he pulled out a syringe gun. "You'll be okay."

He lowered the syringe and stuck the needle into Raph's arm. Said turtle closed his eyes for a moment, before reopening them, more focused and aware this time.

"Thanks… magical unicorn…" He muttered.

Daiki raised his eyebrow as he helped Raph to his feet. "He'll be fine."

"That was awesome!" The Pulverizer cheered. "We totally saved him!"

"We saved him?!" Daiki snapped. "You've been nothing but an annoyance all night!"

"Uh, D, are Foot motorcycles supposed to do that?" Mikey said pointing to the bike, only for the boy to gape in horror as his bike began sparking and crackling with pink electricity.

"Oh no..." Daiki muttered in reply.

"Oh no? Oh no, what Daiki?" Leo questioned.

He ran over to his bike and took off a bit of metal hiding the engine. "It's cracked..."

"What's cracked." Raph asked in a dangerous voice. Seeing the all too familiar pink glow suddenly come out from the bike.

"Oh, this is bad." Daiki said turning around with the Power cell in his hands.

"The Power cell?!" Mikey, Leo and Miwa yelled.

"Why do YOU have the Power Cell!! It was in the subway car!" Raph snapped, getting closer and closer to the boy.

"I- I took it ok?! But it was safe in the lead shield-"

"You stole the Power cell! I know we couldn't trust you! Your no better then the Master you serve! You traitor!" The red clad turtle yelled, having to be held back by Miwa and Leo.

"Donnie... why would you take it?" Mikey asked in a heartbroken voice. Making Daiki feel even guiltier.

Daiki stammered with his words, at a complete loss. "I...I don't know? But please listen! The Kraang will detect the energy signature!" Daiki tried to warn urgently, "We gotta get this back underground before-" but it was too late.

A flash caught the corner of their eyes. White vans were coming up fast from behind them.

"Leo, we've got company!" Miwa warned.

At once the ninjas prepared themselves for the battle. From above, the sound of a helicopter flying by caught their attention. Daiki looked around and saw several more white vans driving to them from in front.

The ninjas tried to escape the aliens, but the Kraang's numbers were too many. They tried to fight them off instead, and in the heat of the fight, one of the Kraang was able to slip by and steal the Power cell from the bike, making the Pulverizer take chase after it.

Daiki saw the Kraang and also decided to chased after it, but he was soon faced with a choice.

To save the Pulverizer who had been cornered by two more Kraang and was currently being held at gunpoint, or stop the Kraang that was getting away with the Power cell, and making it's way to a helicopter.

"Kuso! Damn it!" Daiki cursed as he made his choice. He threw his bō staff at the Kraang with the gun pointed at the Pulverizer's head, disarming the droid. He then quickly made work of the two Kraang in hopes he could still stop the helicopter. But he wasn't quick enough, as the Kraang flew away overhead with the Power cell by the time he managed to down the two bots.

As the Hamatos watched the chopper get away in the night sky, the Pulverizer sighed in disappointment, and turned to his idols. "Aw man, looks like I mucked everything up, didn't I."

"Hey bro, it's not your fault," said Mikey sympathetically. Putting a hand on the man's shoulders.

Miwa snorted, "Yeah, it's his fault!"

"Oh..." said Mikey.

Leonardo had been watching the helicopter, when he decided to add his piece. "How could you!" He yelled at Daiki, getting in his face. "We trusted you!"

"I...I'll get it back! I swear, I'll-" Daiki tried to plead, but was interpreted by a very furious Raph.

"Don't you think you've done enough!" Raph yelled at him. "I told you we couldn't trust him! He's part of the foot! He's our enemy!" Raphael kept going, "He's a lying, good for nothing, Thief!"

"Come on," Leo said trying to calm his enraged brother, "We're done here." And so, the three Hamato ninjas started to walk back, leaving just Mikey behind. "Mikey, come on."

"Mikey, I am so sorry..." Was all Daiki could manage through a whisper as he stared up at Michelangelo. Mahogany eyes begged for the turtles forgiveness, while bright baby blue eyes peered back. Eyes that were once always filled with such trust and friendship towards him. Were now dull and full of tears.

"I trusted you..." Mikey said painfully as he left to join his siblings, who were talking about seeing a certain alligator in the morning, to explain the situation.

Leaving Daiki all alone in the street with The Pulverizer. Said man, out of nowhere, walked up to Daiki and gave him a hug. Something that caught the ninja fully off guard. "Well, I don't know if it matters to you at all... but I think your a good guy." The Pulverizer said ketting him go. He turnt to leave awkwardly, making a sad squeaking noise as his green suit chafed.

Leaving Daiki to ponder over his actions. And his words.

And that was how yesterday went down. Pretty eventful for one night.

But Daiki was determined to make it up to the Hamatos. He was going to get the Power cell back, and this time, he was going to do the right thing and give it to them like it was intended.

Luckily for him, he was always three steps ahead of himself, and had planted a self made tracker onto the Power cell. Leading him straight to the cell's position.

So when nightfall came, he had packed his satchel with some things he thought would be of use, pulled his mask and hood on. And set out for the Power cell.

TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT

Cold air bit into his lungs. At his current speed, he could barely see a few feet ahead of him as he crossed the rooftops of Manhattan. About ten minutes later, he finally stopped to inspect his map again. Pulling out his phone, he lowered the device again once he examined the map.

The building just across the city, and the location marked on his phone were the same.

"TCRI?" He questioned out loud. It didn't take long for Daiki to put two and two together.

"The Kraang have been in plain sight the whole time," he said as it suddenly dawned on him, he looked at weird hexagonal Kraang symbol next to the giant letters 'TCRI'. And wasted no time, as he leapt of the rooftop.

Once he was at street level, he stuck to the shadows, sneaking all the way up to the front entrance. Only to find that it had been locked down and barricaded by some sort of security protocol. However it wasn't deserted inside, as he heard commotion coming from within.

He started to pace around the front of the building, trying to find a way in, when an unexpected and frighteningly familiar roar caught his attention from behind. And a Kraang-droid was abruptly smashed straight through the blockade and onto the street behind him, landing in a pile of scrap with a alien brain popping out and running for it's life.

Daiki's head slowly appeared at the hole, only to see Leatherhead taking on the Kraang in a fit of rage. Once the gator had finished smashing the last droid, he looked up panting to see a awkward looking teen stood near the hole he had just made.

"Uh...Heyyyy?" Daiki said smiling nervously, even though he had his mask on.

Leatherhead only snarled at the boy, "Thief."

Before turning around to make his way to an elevator that was only a few feet behind him.

"Haha...yeah." Daiki cringed as he pursued the gator, "Um listen Leatherhead, I'm sorry, that I took the cell. I thought I could use it-"

The gator turnt around abruptly, shutting the boy up instantly. "Last time we met, you said you had to chose a side." The gator stated bluntly, "Did you chose?"

Daiki shuffled around with his satchel strap awkwardly, not making eye contact. "...no"

"Why is that?"

The question caught him slightly off guard, "Because...I don't know who I can trust..."

Leatherhead closed his eyes in thought, "Do you not trust your Master?"

"I...it's complicated." Daiki replied unsurely, "I get this feeling sometimes, that he's not the most truthful man. But I owe him alot. Not to mention, we both have a common enemy."

"How can you expect to be trusted, when you can not give it?" Leatherhead questioned cautiously.

"I..." Daiki tried to defend himself, but know the gator was right.

"Now that the Kraang have the Power cell back, thanks to you." The gator gave him a slight glare, "They are able to open up their portal. If they do, there will be a war, and you will need to decide who you will fight for." Leatherhead then gently placed his hand on the boy's shoulder, "Prove to me and the Hamatos, that you are trustworthy, Donnie."

"But I'm not!" Daiki exclaimed, shoving the gator off him. "I'm their enemy! I'm literally only here in New York to kill them and their Sensei! And yet here I am, once again risking my life for them, when I'm supposed to be the reason their in danger!"

Leatherhead hummed in thought, "If we win the fight today and retrieve the Power cell, you will prove yourself to them, and to me. And if we lose, then you may go your separate way. Live the life of their enemy, or choose to become one of them."

"Why are you so willing to forgive me?" Daiki questioned.

The gator placed his hand on him once more. "Michelangelo told me this morning, that he still believes there is good in you. Even if your Master has buried it beneath hate, he still sees it. As do I."

"Mikey said that?" Daiki asked with a raised brow, sceptically.

"Yes." The gator replied. "Now then, I believe our assistance is needed at the portal."

With that the gator made his way to the elevator, followed shortly after by a tentative Daiki. Once the two were in, they found themselves stood on top of a few dead Kraang-droids. "It is the top floor." Leatherhead said eyeing the buttons.

Daiki pressed the top floor button, and got no response from the elevator. "There's a retinal scanner." He said back.

"Here." Leatherhead grabbed a droid and ripped it's head clean off, handing it to the brown-haired teen who held it up to the retinal scanner.

The elevator button panel beeped, and an automated voice announced itself in the elevator. "That which is known as access is granted to Kraang."

"This may be awhile..." Daiki sighed in annoyance as he leant against the wall. He heard the gator shuffling around behind him, but kept his focus on the buttons.

"What do the symbols say?"

The sudden question managed to capture his attention, "Hm?"

"On your weapon." The gator then pointed to the kanji engraved into Daiki's bō.

"Oh. Those are my parents names." The boy kept his head low, and eyes away from the gator. "They were...um...they died."

The gator nodded sincerely. "I am sorry."

Daiki's voice felt heavy, "Don't be. There was nothing anyone could do, they killed by an...monster."

The gator put his enormous hand onto the boy's shoulder, weighing him down slightly, but in a comforting way. The gator didn't need to say anything, as just his presence alone, was reassuring enough.

"We do still have one problem." The mutant announced. "We have to find a way to shut down the portal if it's active."

"Will this work?" Daiki asked smirking, opening up his satchel to show a makeshift bomb ready to blow.

"I believe that will work." Leatherhead smirked back at the boy.

A 'thud' on top of the roof caught the twos attention, as they realized they had some tag alongs.

Daiki sighed, pulling out his tantō, "Well, of course it couldn't be a peaceful elevator ride."

"Indeed." The Alligator agreed tiredly before opening the hatch.

TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT

The light on the button pad hit the top floor, making a rather cheerful 'ding' as the doors opened, and half a Kraang-droid was clumsily tossed out. Then, the large form of a mutant alligator and the smaller form of a boy stepped out, into the Kraang infested room.

"Leatherhead!" Mikey shouted happily. Realizing shortly after that there was a second person, he and his siblings yelled out in surprise.

"Daiki?!" Miwa, Raph and Leo exclaimed

"Donnie!" Mikey yelled excitedly.

"Traag!" Leatherhead roared, as a giant rock monster turned to face him.

Leatherhead let out a hissing roar, and threw the half a droid at Traag, who swatted it away, and began slowly approaching the mutant gator.

Leatherhead leapt at the rock alien, knocking it off it's feet with his tail. Seizing it by the leg, Leatherhead proceeded to throw Traag around, hitting him against the walls and floor, until it was stunned momentarily.

"Now!" Leatherhead shouted to Daiki. As the Hamatos stared in confusion, all apart from Mikey who was on cloud 9 seeing his two friends finally working together.

While Traag was distracted, Daiki ran up to the monster, holding the satchel containing the makeshift bomb, and jumped onto its chest, tying the satchel about its neck. The rock monster roared, and tried to reach for him, but Daiki flipped backwards out of the way, landing a couple of feet away from the Hamatos.

"What are you doing here?" Raph snarked as the Foot soldier got closer to them. "Incase we didn't make it clear, we don't want your help anymore-."

"Trust me, don't trust me. I don't really care anymore." Daiki snapped at the red turtle. Silencing him quickly. "We're taking this portal down, one way or another." He turnt back to the gator.

"Leatherhead!" Daiki shouted. "Get him by the portal!"

With a roar, and hardly any effort, Leatherhead managed to throw Traag into the portal. He then let out another roar, signaling Daiki to activate the bomb. Said boy pressed a button on his Phone. And a sudden 'beeping' sound could be heard in the background faintly, and rapidly accelerating, until a massive 'bang' rang across the room followed by black smoke.

There was the sound of something powering down. And the six yelled out in celebration.

"Yes!" Miwa screamed.

"It worked!" Daiki exclaimed.

"Yeah!" celebrated Leo.

Leatherhead let out a short, triumphant roar.

"Alright!" said Raph.

"High three!" Mikey yelled holding his hand up, however, the high three was quickly put off.

Once the smoke had cleared, they all stared in horror at what they saw. "What the…?" Was all Leo could manage.

"It's still standing?" Daiki said in pure shock. The portal was completely untouched, as if it never had an explosive bomb detonate on it. While Traag was left in pieces.

"High three canceled." Mikey said disappointedly.

"W-what are we supposed do now?" said Daiki.

"I could punch it a few times," Raph suggested. "But I don't think that's gonna do it."

"Uh… guys." Mikey pointed at the portal. Traag was starting to reassemble.

"You gotta be kidding me?" Miwa sighed.

"Well, this day can't get any worse," said Raph. As Traag placed its head back on. However the portal then started powering back up. "And it just did."

"Something else might come through!" said Daiki with a bit of fear. "What do we do now?"

Suddenly, Leatherhead stalked towards the portal growling, and pounced on Traag, holding him down as the pink light grew brighter in the middle of the portal. Leatherhead started roaring, slashing his claws at Traag's face.

"Leatherhead!" Mikey shouted. "Something else is coming through!"

"Not if I can help it…" the gator growled, grabbing Traag around the neck, Leatherhead turned towards the portal.

"Leatherhead, what are you doing?" Daiki yelled.

"Farewell, my friends." The mutant gator said sadly, walking into the portal.

"Leatherhead!" Mikey cried. "No!"

The light got brighter as Leatherhead disappeared into it, and suddenly burst, sending a blinding white shockwave that threw the ninjas back. The portal was empty, and smoking, and Leatherhead was nowhere in sight.

"Leatherhead..." Mikey said sadly, sitting up. "I can't believe he's gone."

The older ninjas got to their feet. Leo placed a comforting hand on Mikey's shoulder.

"We've gotta get outta here," said Leo sympathetically.

"We can't just leave!" Daiki shouted. "With the portal operational, the Kraang are more dangerous than ever! We have to destroy it!"

The elevator abruptly dinged, and several Kraang-droids came spilling out.

"Feel free to stick around, but we're out of here!" Raph shouted.

The turtles and Miwa quickly made their way to the top ledge, where Traag had punched a hole in the building earlier, as the Kraang-droids began shooting at them.

Leo readied a grappling hook and swung it around,. "We'll be back," he said as the grappling hook caught onto the top of one of the lower buildings, and the ninjas zip-lined down. Followed shortly by Daiki.

TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT

Once all five ninjas landed safely on the rooftop, the Hamatos glanced towards Daiki as he looked up hopelessly at the TCRI building.

Leonardo walked over to him and gave his shoulder a reassuring pat, "You tried, Daiki."

"Not hard enough." He muttered back, knocking Leo's hand off.

Mikey shook his head, walking up to the dark-haired boy to comfort him. "Donnie, it's not-"

"Don't say it isn't my fault, Mikey!" Daiki yelled at the turtle, making him back off scared behind his blue clad brother. "Leatherhead is gone because of me! All because I stole the Power cell from you!"

"But I forgive you, D! You came back for the cell like you said-"

"Why do you still trust me?! I don't understand!" Daiki exclaimed angrily.

"Because your my friend D!" Mikey shouted back, trying to get closer to him. But Daiki just backed up.

"No... I'm not your friend..." Daiki said deadpan, The foot ninja turnt and went to the edge of the rooftop, before jumping down to the streets below.

Mikey tried to run after him, "Donnie wait!-"

"Let him go, Mikey" but Raphael held his brother's plastron, making sure he wouldn't chase after the soldier.

Michelangelo could only watch through teary eyes as his second friend disappear that night.
