Chapter 10

Leonardo wasn't entirely sure what he was looking at, but in the hands of the Kraang, it was a no go.

It was once again patrol night for the Hamatos, and the three turtles and their sister had decided to hide out on a rooftop, watching as the Kraang loaded a new weapon into their van.

"So," asked Miwa curiously, looking through their home-made telescope. "Anyone wanna guess what that thing does?" She gestured to the gun in the droids hands.

"Gonna have to say it's an 'oh no' if it's in the hands of the Kraang." Leonardo stated.

"My guess is, it makes things go 'boom'." Raph said sounding impatient.

Leo rolled his eyes at the red clad turtle, "Ok, guys. We go in, we grab the gun...thing? And we leave. Got it?"

Mikey put his hand to his head in a salute. "Roger that, Captain."

Raph just gave a sigh a long. "Fine."

Standing in a line, Leonardo started readying his team. "Ok, guys… Get in position." Leo crouched on the roof, shuffling his foot forward. "Ready…" he said slowly.

"Let's just do this!" Raph snapped impatiently. As the team jumped down from the roof, landing in front of the Kraang.

The Kraang ceased their work and turnted to look at the ninjas. But when the turtles stood up, opposite them on the other side of the street was none other then the Foot Clan.

Fishface, Dogpound and a few Foot soldiers stood up and stared at them in equal surprise.

"Kraang and Fishface and Dogpound?" Raph beamed excitedly. "I must be dreaming, pinch me!" To which Mikey reached over and pinched his cheek.

"Ow!" Raph smacked him round the back of his head.

"Ow!" Mikey yelped. "You said!-"

The two ninja teams all charged into a fight, with the Kraang firing at all of them. The Turtles dealt with the droids first, as Raph kicked them down, with Mikey doing the same. As Miwa went to take on the majority of the Foot, Leonardo spins and kicks a ninja in the chest, flipping and knocking down another one as he fell.

As Leo approached the back of the truck to get the disrupter, two Kraang-droids appear at his side to stop him. However Dogpound threw a few punches at them, knocking them down as he back hands Leo, who had to back flip so he didn't slam straight into the wall. He gets up and spins, kicking Dogpound to the floor.

Miwa took out most of the foot soldiers and a few Kraang, while Raph was busy with Fishface. Michelangelo was occupied with a foot ninja and didn't see a Kraang-droid taking the disrupter. He yelps as it fires straight towards him. Being saved at the last minute by Miwa pushing him out of the way. Instead, the blast hit a car, and makes a very weird 'zwee-chooooo! Pop!' sound as it disappears into particles.

"Whoa," Mikey says in awe, grinning at his sister. "Guess we know what it does now." Miwa couldn't help but shake her head at him.

With the last ninja kicked down, and the Kraang having escaped, Dogpound realized that the Kraang had taken off with the disruptor. He stopped fighting and growled in annoyance, turning and taking off down the road.

"Guys!" Leo alerted. "We gotta move!" He turned to Raph and Fishface, who were still going at each other in their own battle. "Raph!" Leo snapped. "Now!"

Fishface stepped back, smirking. "Yes. Run along now, boy." Turning, Fishface ran away.

"This isn't over, Fishface!" Raph yelled back, as the four Hamatos took their leave when the police sirens went off in the distance.

"Hello? Anyone?" Baxter Stockman could be heard yelling from one of the rooftops above, "I'm kind of stuck up here. Hello?"

Within the lair, the four Hamato ninjas kneeled on the tatami mats of the dojo. Facing away from their father as he stood behind them with a wooden sword. Lined up in order, the ninjas went from Mikey, Raph, Leo, and then to Miwa.

Michelangelo stiffened as Master Splinter moved behind him. The mutant rat raised the wooden sword above his head and stood still. Mikey flinched forward, trying to miss the sword while glancing behind anxiously to see when it was coming down. "Just so we're clear, Sensei," he started, "you are planning on swinging right-Augh!" He cut off as the wooden sword smacked him on top of the head.

Mikey rubbed his head as Splinter moved over to Raph, who didn't even move a muscle. He glanced behind him for a split second as he tensed his shoulders, only for the sword to swing down onto his head. "Ow!"

Leonardo was next. He stayed still as their Sensei lifted the sword above him, swinging downward, just as Leo managed to side step and roll out of its path towards his head. "Yes!" The blue clad ninja fist pumped excitedly.

Miwa rolled her eyes at him, "Show off."

"What is the point of this anyway?" Raphael said to Master Splinter, not sounding too amazed at being shown up by Leo.

"Evading a sword you cannot see demonstrates an ability to sense your enemy's intentions," Splinter explained, showing the sword to his son.

"I already know my enemy's intention, Sensei," Raph said, sounding annoyed. "To take me down."

"Knowingthatyour enemy will strike is a given," Splinter replied. "But sensingwhenhe will strike can mean the difference between victory and defeat."

"Hai Sensei," said Raph, looking at the carpet in thought. The ninjas bowed to their Sensei as he exited the dojo.

"Wait! What about Miwa's turn!" Michelangelo shouted after Splinter as he rubbed his still sore head.

The Shredder passed by his two mutant henchmen, and Stockman, as he made his way across the room to his throne. Followed closely by Tigerclaw who joined him at the top of the stairs.

And Daiki, who had been dragged from the Foot dojo by the tiger for the meeting. The boy took a knee beside Bradford, awaiting Shredder's words.

Below the Shredder's glare, Baxter, Bradford and Xever all watched on anxious breath. But the silence drew on, making them panic internally.

"We had the alien's technology in our grasp, Master" Dogpound tried to explain.

"Unfortunately, Stockman's plan was flawed." Xever adds, looking at said man mischievously.

The Shredder hardened his glared on the scientist, "Is this true?"

"Well, um, yes." Baxter replied nervously, surprising everyone in the room, even the armoured man himself. "They're right. It was my fault. I'm sorry. And I'd like to make amends. That is, if you'd allow me?"

The Shredder kept his eyes on him, saying nothing.

"You see, I've designed a trap for the Hamatos- a foolproof trap!" He announced ambitiously, "But I'd need the help of my good friends here to lure them into it." He finished by gesturing to the two mutant henchman beside him.

"Very well." The Shredder agreed after thinking it through, "Consider those two at your disposal." Baxter smiled cunningly as the two mutants glared at him.

"Morikawa, you will go with them. Make sure Stockman does not fail me." The Shredder added at the end.

Daiki simply nodded his head, "Hai, Master"

And with that, the three henchman followed Baxter out of the throne room. Unbeknown to them, that the trap was meant for more then just the turtles.

The next night, the Hamatos were on patrol near Chinatown. Leo and Miwa ran along the edge of the roofs. While Raph and Mikey followed, using fire escapes to jump up to the ledges.

That was until Miwa suddenly came to a halt. "Huh, guess who I've found lurking around?" Miwa reports as her brothers join her at the edge of the roof. Mikey popped up from behind them all excited.

"Oh! Who is it?! Oh man, it's just Fishface and Dogpound. And my Ex BFF." He finished pouting, only for Raph to slap him.

Miwa was right, down below them on the street was Bradford, Xever and Daiki. But Leo felt something off. The three Foot were out in the open, and seemed as though they were waiting for something. As they had their heads poking around the corner suspiciously.

"What are they doing out in the open like this?" Leo questions, "I think we should proceed with caution, guys...guys?" However, when he looked around, he saw that they had already gone to fight the three.

"Oh, man." He sighs tiredly before joining the battle. Jumping down to help Miwa take on Dogpound, while Mikey had Daiki and Raph dealt with Fishface. However, Leo soon found out that it wasn't much of a battle. Dogpound's hits were slower and less bruising, and his blocks were even worse.

"Where were we? Oh, yeah, I was turning you into fish sticks," Raph said twirling his sais.

"Actually, I believe I was turning you into turtle soup." Xever snarked back as he went for the turtle.

Daiki jabbed at the orange clad turtle lazily, with uncoordinated hits, missing every time. While Mikey simple twirled his nunchucku around and struck out once, aiming towards Daiki. He wasn't excepting to actually get a hit on the ninja so easily, and so fast.

"Ah! Sorry." Mikey yelled as he pulled his nunchaku back from where he hit the soldier.

"Don't apologize to him!" Raphael yelled at him from his own fight.

"I mean, sorry I didn't hit you harder!" Mikey retorted uncomfortably.

"There you go." Raph said satisfied, as he kicked Xever away.

Raphael had taken down Fishface way easier than he thought, and Daiki too was downed just as easily with another hit. With Dogpound soon joining them on the floor.

Leo appeared on top of Dogpound, pointing his katanas toward him threateningly. "Stay...Good dog!"

Dogpound growled furiously, but instead of attacking back, he smacked the sword aside and ran after Fishface and Daiki, who had already taken off.

"Look!" said Mikey. "We got 'em on the run!"

"Oh, they aren't getting off that easy!" Raph yelled before running after the mutants and boy.

"Raph, wait!" Leo warned. "Something's not right!"

"Yeah!" Raph retorted. "You talking, while they're getting away!"

Leo groaned irritably, and followed after his brother, with Miwa and Mikey hot on his tail.

"This way!" Raph yelled as he entered an abandoned building that the three Foot ninjas had led them too. The Hamatos stopped running and looked around. It was dark, and quiet. Then, someone spoke.

"Alright," the voice of Dogpound called out as he, Daiki and Fishface stepped out from behind the pillars in the room. "You got us."

"This is way too easy," Leo muttered to himself.

"Why are you always worried?" Raph said angrily.

Then, from below them, red lights on the ground formed a large circle all around the Hamatos and the three Foot. The floor lowered beneath them. And black and white stripes went up the cylinder walls as the ninjas descended further.

"Oh, I see," Raph said shortly.

"Careful, guys," said Mikey. "This may be a trap."

"No kidding." Miwa stated obviously.

"Welcome, contestants,"a familiar voice suddenly echoed from some speakers hidden in the walls."I'm so glad you could join us tonight."

"Blister Stockboy?" said Leo.

"It's Baxter Stockman!" came the snappy reply. "I'm your arch nemesis!"

Mikey smiled cunningly to himself, "I could totally think of five nemesises way archer than him."

"You'll be playing for the ultimate prize: your lives! In the all new, family-friendly, incredibly deadly… Maze of Doom!" Stockman exclaimed.

The turtles and kunoichi had been listening in with pure boredom, that was until balls of fire came raining down on them from above. As they all scrambled to avoid the flaming balls of death, Dogpound and Fishface couldn't help the amused looks on their faces as they watched the teens rush for safety, until they too and Daiki, nearly got hit by one of the balls of fire.

"You fool!" Fishface snapped furiously. "What are you doing?"

"I'm sick of you freaks," came the vengeful reply through the speaker. "You treat me like dirt, threaten me. Baxter Stockman doesn't make threats."

"What did I ever do to you?!" Daiki yelled as he had to dodge yet another fire ball.

"Have you gone mad?" Fishface shouted.

"Mad?" There was a psychotic cackle only proving the point. "I'm full-on-megacrazy!"

"You traitor!" Dogpound declared, looking at the ceiling while balling his fists.

"And even if you make it through my maze alive, you'll still have to face my… monster… of-"

"Doom?" Leo interpreted dully. "Is it a monster of doom?"

"NO! Uh… Monster of, uh… uh… Oh, to heck with it!"

Suddenly the floor opened up, and the ninjas fell through it. All screaming as they fell through a tunnel that lasted forever. But they did eventually land, on a similar black and white type floor, but this time in a checkered style. The turtles and Miwa came rolling to a painful stop. As Raph looked back up the tunnel they just fell from. "Where in the-"

As the Hamatos struggled to get themselves up, Dogpound, Fishface and Daiki also came crashing down. Though Dogpound was quick to get up, shaking his head like a dog, and turning to the Hamatos. "Where were we?" He said as he lunged for them. Followed closely by Xever and Daiki.

"Total turtle takedown!" Fishface snarled.

Raph dodged two blows by Dogpound, before going to advance on Fishface. Dogpound grabbed Leo in midair as the latter tried jumping him, and threw him aside, before dealing with Miwa. As Daiki rushed Mikey.

Suddenly, something that sounded like lasers powering on caused Leo to stop, "What is…?" He faltered. As giant red axes made of light were coming down from the ceiling, swinging back and forth across the tunnel. He turnt around to see more of them appear. "Uh oh." Even more emerged, slowly heading towards the two ninja teams.

Raphael happened to look up and gaped at the axes coming for him. That was when Fishface approached him for another round, and an axe appeared right above them. "Watch out!" Raph yelled.

He leapt forward and knocked Fishface out of the way, and at the same time the axe came down where they were standing. They both landed on the floor away from the axe and sat up confused.

"I saved you, why, calamari-boy?!" Raph asked himself rhetorically, hardly able to believe himself.

"Everyone," Leo said urgently. "I suggest a fight raincheck!"

"Never!" snapped Dogpound. "We do this now!" He starts running up to Mikey and Miwa, only to turn around as a axe headed straight for him. Leo threw a small knife at the axe so it changed it's direction, narrowly missing the mutant. The tip from one of his spike however, fell off, having just been sliced clean in half.

"If we keep fighting, we are never gonna get outta here alive!" Leo states firmly.

"The exit!" Daiki pointed down the tunnel, where there was a bright light ahead. "There!"

"Follow me!" Dogpound shouted as he pushed past the Hamatos, Fishface and Daiki right behind him.

The Hamatos followed closely, carefully passing the axes with timed jumps and flips.

"Leo, you don't think we can trust them, do you?" Raphael asked his brother.

"It's our only option," Leo replied unsurely.

"Well, what do we do when they turn on us?" Raph snapped back. "Because, they will turn on us!"

"We'll just have to trust that we'll see it coming first." Leo ran ahead, leaving Raph behind, shaking his head skeptically.

TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT

After the two groups got passed the axes, they walk through the tunnel on high alert. Dogpound, Daiki and Fishface walked ahead of the Hamatos, while the Hamatos trailed behind only a few feet.

"I have my eye on you, turtles. And girl." Fishface sneered at them.

Raph snorted as Fishface turned back around. A second later they walked into a circular room, with white and black stripes across it instead of the checkers.

Dogpound stopped walking and sniffed the room. "Fresh air," he said glancing forward. "Coming from that direction."

Leonardo stopped and saw Fishface looking warily at him, noticing that neither he, Daiki nor Dogpound were making any attempts to go forward.

"Uh, please," Fishface said with patronizing manners. "After you."

Leo laughed sarcastically, sounding just as fake. "No, no… You go ahead. I insist."

"What's the matter?" asked the snakehead mutant. "You don't trust me?"

"If you think we're gonna turn our backs to you, you're nuts!" said Raph angrily.

Michelangelo then decided to put an idea forward. "I know! We go like this… Miwa, turtle, jerk, turtle, turtle, jerk, jerk. Wait, no… Jerk, jerk, turtle, jerk jerk- Nah, too many jerks…"

As Mikey kept talking about an order to go in, small, shiny balls came falling out of the ceiling, and floating above the ninjas. "Balls!" Leo shouted. "Of… Doom…?"

"What're those?" Dogpound asked cautiously.

Red laser blades shot out of the balls like saw blades, beginning to spin and shoot around the room, towards the confused ninjas.

"Not good," Leo comments, "Let's move it!"

"Me first!" Fishface yelled out as Leo dodged one heading for his shell.

"Doom balls! Run!" Leo commanded, as they all dashed around looking for an exit.

As Mikey ducked under one, he looked back up to see another and rolled away as it slammed into the ground. It starts following him and he smacks it away with his nunchucks.

Dogpound jumps back while Daiki swings at one that was after the dog, but it sticks itself into his bō. He tried to remove it, but had to start running as another one came flying at him.

They all ended up running as a group, with Raphael throwing his shurikens at four of the balls, causing them to explode as the ninjas all fell into another room. A completely black one.

Daiki sighed in relief before he saw a doom ball still embedded in his bō staff. He yelps and carefully removes it, chucking it aside where it rolls away into the dark corner of the room.

The ninjas walked on wearily through another black and white checkered tunnel for what felt like months. Leonardo happened to note how unusually alert Bradford was at the moment, looking around at the walls suspiciously.

"Bradford, what's wrong?" Daiki asked stopping everyone in their tracks as they looked at the dog.

Dogpound sniffed the air, then growled. "We've been here before!" He yelled sharply.

Daiki looked around at the walls and noticed some marks made by their weapons earlier, "He's right," he confirmed. "We've been going in circles!"

Raphael scoffed, "Daiki, are you sure-?" But his question was cut short, as a metal wall suddenly came down between the group, separating him with Fishface, while the rest of his team was with Bradford and Daiki.

"Hey!" Raphael could be heard pounding on the wall the other side.

Feedback whined through the tunnel. "Time to split you boy's up!" Stockman announced.

The floor below the main group then formed a small circle, opening up quickly with a red light, then sealing up with the same metal wall that separated Raph, once it's victims fell down the striped tunnel.

"Leo!" Miwa and Mikey shouted.

"Morikawa!" Bradford yelled, beginning to bang on the metal door.

TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT TMNT

Leonardo was quick to get back up, slashing at the checkered walls with his katanas, as feedback whired through again. "You're wasting your time, Leonardo!" Stockman mocked. "The doors are all magnetically sealed! And those panels are invincible!" He laughed manically, before the feed cut off. Leaving the two ninjas alone in the silence.

Leo slumped down, panting, while Daiki took out his Phone, dialing something Leo couldn't see. "I tried that already, Daiki," Leo said exhausted. "There's no signal."

"I know there's no signal," said Daiki annoyed, beckoning for Leo to come closer. "I'm reconfiguring my Phone's internal magnets so that it can detect ambient AC current."

At the lost look on Leo's face, Daiki tried to repress a sigh, "We can use it to trace our way back to Baxter. We just need him to start talking again." He said deadpan, as he looked up to the silent tunnel above them, now sealed off by a metal door.

"It's better then nothing." Leo replied with a shrug.

"In that case," Daiki announced, "I think our best option is to keep moving." He said as he started making his way down the outstretched and seemingly endless tunnel.

Leonardo saw there was no other option, and sheathed his katanas, following after Daiki. As he walked down the hall, he would occasionally glance at Daiki to make sure the ninja didn't try anything funny. After the whole Power cell incident, it wasn't clear if he was someone they could depend on.

However, truly thinking about it, Leo had to commend the soldier for trying to fix his mistakes. At TCRI he proved himself trustworthy as he did as promised, and went to reclaim the Cell. Though the mission was ultimately doomed, as the portal is still up and functioning, and Leatherhead was gone.

"Hey, Daiki?" The turtle asked cautiously, trying to fill in the awkward silence. They both looked towards each other as they continued down the tunnel. "About what happened, at TCRI the other day-"

Daiki lowered his head in shame as he trained his eyes on the floor, "Yeah... I-I'm sorry...about that whole situation."

"Actually, I was going to thank you?" Leo said positively.

"Thank me?" Daiki faltered slightly, "Why? I messed everything up!"

Leo smiled awkwardly, "Well, yes you did. But you went back for the cell. Just like you promised. And for that I thank you."

Daiki nodded unsurely, "It was wrong of me to take it. I wanted to use it for my projects, and for the Foot clan. But there was no honour in becoming a thief, I know that now." Leo couldn't help but admit to himself, that deep down, he was kind of proud of the young ninja. Like a big brother would be if their little brother confessed to their wrong doings.

"But please," Daiki's voice brought him out of his head, his voice was thick with guilt. "Don't thank me for something that cost someone their life."

"The last thing I wanted was to be a murderer." The last part Daiki whispered to himself, but Leo heard it clear as day.

"How'd someone like you end up getting involved with the Foot?" Leo inquired sadly, not really sure on what he could of said after that.

"I never wanted to be in a clan. Sure I've always loved Ninjitsu, but from a different point of view. I never saw it being so important in my life." He let out a depressed sigh, "But those are the cards Hamato Yoshi dealt me, I'm afraid." Daiki finished with a bitter voice.

Leo stopped walking and glared slightly at the boy, "Why do you hate him so much? He's a good man."

Daiki scoffed at him, muttering to himself, "If only you knew-"

"Try me." Leo snapped back.

"Alright." This time it was Daiki who stopped in his tracks, pivoting round to face the turtle with a hint of disgust, "He's a murderer."

"Splinter would never take a life." Leo replied back with confidence.

"I'm sure that's what he tells you-." Daiki interjected.

"He would never kill someone." Leo interpreted loudly, getting frustrated at the accusations thrown at his Master.

Daiki scoffed at the turtle "You weren't there, Leonardo-"

"And you were? You specifically saw Splinter killing someone?" Leo questioned.

"No I wasn't!" Daiki angrily admitted, "But I know for a fact that he killed them!" He stopped himself quickly after realizing his mistake, turning around and walking off down the tunnel. Leo could hear how Daiki's breathing was raggedly and picking up, but he continued to followed after him. Determined to get the answer.

"Killed who?" The turtle pressured, "Who did he kill, Daiki?!" He yelled as he grabbed the boy by the shoulder.

"He killed my parents!" Daiki faltered, glaring at Leo with fresh tears that threatened to fall.

"No..." Leo began shaking his head in denial, "That's not true. The news article, it said that there was a fire-"

"You mean the same article that says I'm dead too?" Daiki asked snarkily, catching Leo off guard. "That fire was set by Yoshi to hide his tracks after he killed every Foot soldier in the village. But that also meant that anyone still in the village was caught by the blaze."

"That's not possible, Daiki. Splinter wasn't even in Japan, ten years ago!" Leonardo pleaded

Daiki just shock his head in denial, "Liar!-"

"He was in New York! Raising me, and my brothers and Miwa." Leo interpreted.

"Shizukani. Be quiet." Daiki shouted at him, his stomach was twisting into knots with this horrible gnawing sensation. Screaming at him that something was wrong. And that something, was the lie Leo was trying to feed him.

"The only maniac that went on a killing spree in Japan, was the Shredder when he killed Splinter's wife-"

"Damare! Shut up!" Daiki yelled frantically, "Shredder only took the lives of Hamatos as revenge for the deaths caused by your Master!" He slammed his hand onto one of the panels on the wall, so hard, that it left a crack.

Instantaneously, the sound of something electrical could be heard wiring to life all around the two. Stopping the teens in their argument. As the two followed the sound up the tunnel walls, they noticed that the roof of the tunnel was silver and metal of some kind. Faint sparks of electric could be heard around the them as the ceiling started to rumble.

Leonardo felt how his katanas started to feel lighter on his back, like something was pulling them up from above- Realisation hit him. The ceiling was a giant magnet!

Large metal spikes abruptly pierced through the roof. And anything else metal in the room was dragged to the ceiling, either shattered and destroyed or impaled by the spikes. Including the panels they happened to be stood on.

Leo's katanas started lifting more, til they shot out of their sheaths, and straight for the roof. Slamming against the spikes as they connected with the roof.

"Leonardo!"

Leo turnt at his name to see that Daiki was holding onto his tantō blade that was stabbed straight into the floor, holding onto it with a death grip. The Foot soldiers uniform may of been a tough fabric, but on top of it, was armour. Metal armour.

He was being pulled straight up.

"Daiki!" Leo shouted as he tried to get to him, but the panels under him kept lifting up, so he had to keep side stepping further away from the boy.

"Help me!" Daiki yelled as the panel below him started to lift. He tried to reach for the gap between the panels with one of his hands, but it was too late. The panel his tantō was in, lifted, and Daiki's blade shattered in two from the strain of being pulled in opposite directions. He screamed as he felt himself being pulled up, only for a three-fingered hand to grab his wrist.

Leo held on with all his strength. His other hand was clinging onto a panel yet to fly up to the spikes. They needed a plan, something to stop the magnets!

Leo was quick to notice a shine catch his eye. There, in Daiki's pocket were what looked like his shurikens. He had Exploding shurikens!

"Daiki! Your shurikens!" He yelled at the boy, who caught on quickly. Daiki had to physically fight against the pull of the magnet to put his hand into his pocket, grabbing a handful of shurikens and letting them go effortlessly.

The shurikens flew towards the spikes at light speed, before immediately detonating. Filling the room with pitch black smoke and a loud bang, which rattled the entire maze. Leonardo was quick to pull Daiki to his plastron, turning over to use his shell to take the brute force of the blow.

As the smoke began to clear, the two ninjas sat on what remained of the checkered tunnel coughing heavily on the smoke residue. Leo looked up to see that the shurikens had blown a hole into the roof, revealing the floor they had originally fell from. And to his relief, his katanas were lead safety near by, still intact.

"Daiki, You ok?" Leo asked as the boy started getting up.

Daiko held his arm, and a small red blotch could be seen through his sleeve which concerned Leo slightly, but his nerves calmed down a bit when he saw the ninja wasn't too fazed. Daiki shakily nodded his head to the turtle. "Arigatō. Thanks" he muttered as he got to his feet steadily.

Leo nodded to him in return, and stood to join him. "Listen, Daiki-" But he was interpreted before he could finish his thoughts.

"Morikawa!" Bradford's voice came booming from above them, and the two looked up at the hole to see the mutant dog, as well as two of Leo's siblings.

"Hey! We found you guys!" Mikey exclaimed happily.

"We didn't find them, they blew a hole in the floor." Miwa said smugly, holding out a rope for Leo to take to get back up to their level. Just as Bradford grabbed Daiki's hand and pulled him up, making said human cringe slightly from the pain.

Only, instead of a loving hug from Mikey like Leo received once the blue clad turtle had been pulled up, Bradford turnt around and flicked the boy in the head when he was stood next to him.

"Ow! What was that for?!" Daiki yelled at the dog as he rubbed his forehead, pushing the dog in the stomach.

"I told you before, Kid! Not to bring explosives on missions!" Bradford began to scold, grabbing the boy by the arm. Too which Daiki retaliated by kicking him in the knee, downing the dog momentarily. Soon the two were in a full blown argument about him bringing explosives on missions. It was like watching a toddler being told off by his father. And the Hamatos couldn't help but chuckle.

But their antics quickly died down as from behind them, the striped wall suddenly caved in, revealing Fishface and Raphael looking

"You enjoy your play date?" Leo joked.

"Hah. Very funny," Raph retorts as he rejoins his team, sniffing the air slightly and noticing the giant hole. "Jeez, did someone set off a bomb in here or something?"

Daiki had taken out his phone again and knelt down next to what was now a dysfunctional gun. "A strong ambient AC current is coming from underneath this cannon," he said. And on cue, Dogpound moved forward, and tore the gun out of the ground.

The floor then broke underneath them, and they all fell straight through the floor Leo and Daiki were on and eventually ended up in Baxter's lair, the same one the Hamatos had first fought him in. A red spotlight shone on them from above, as they glanced up to see Stockman standing on some sort of flying platform.

"No! You were supposed to destroy each other, not work together!" Baxter took a calming breath. "No matter. You may have made it to the end of my maze, but now it's time for-"

"The bonus round?" Mikey asks excitedly.

"Yes, the bonus round...of doom!" He reveals a weirdly shaped robot none of the ninjas had ever seen before. It looked like a top-heavy walking I-Pod.

Baxter stood above it proudly on a floating platform, "Kneel before the awesome power of my… Monster…!"

"Of doom…" the ninjas all groaned in unison.

"You all think you're so clever," Stockman said as his face appeared on a screen on the robot. "Let's see how clever you are when you're hit by my missiles of doo-" he took a moment to think, "When you're hit by my missiles!"

That's when the robot started firing missiles at them. Mikey flipped over one, and backflips over another. As Daiki rolled to the side to avoid the rapid fire. Dogpound blocked a retractable arm, as Baxter then fired something up into the air.

What looked like more missiles were actually Mousers, Leonardo jumped away from one, and sliced its head clean off, knocking away another one.

He started to run up to the robot, but it formed two large snake heads from the top of its head, and started firing lasers at the approaching turtle. Leo jumped past them and ran up the metal neck of the snake heads, jumping into the air at the last minute. He stabs his katana blade into the glass that had Baxter's face on it.

In retaliation, Baxter Stockman glared down at him, powering up his robot and launching a powerful shockwave around the room, causing the ninjas to all get knocked off their feet.

"How do we stop this thing?" Dogpound yelled at Leo, becoming desperate enough to ask the enemy for help.

"Leo, We need a plan!" Miwa urged her little brother.

Leo took a moment as he narrowed his eyes, assessing the situation. In a few second, he had an idea, "Mikey, Dogpound… Draw it under Baxter."

They both nodded and ran for Stockman. But the man flew up slightly. "Ha, nice try!" The man sneered. "But you'll have to be faster than that!"

Mikey smirked before turning around. "Yoo-hoo!" Mikey called out to the robot. "Monster of doom! We're over here!" The robot turned around and instantly sprinted for them.

"Raph, Fishface!" Leo yelled. "There!" He points to the platform Baxter was stood on.

The two nod as Fishface takes off towards it first. He slides down on the floor, as Raph leaps up and lands on his robotic feet.

"Ready?" Fishface questioned.

"Three. Two. One!" Fishface pushes Raph into the air, allowing him to fly and stab through the platform.

"No! Stop helping each other!" Stockman yelled as his platform started nose diving, soon crashing right into his robot. Causing a loud boom as the collision caused an explosion. When the smoke subsided, there was nothing left but metal remains of both the platform and robot.

"Where's Dexter?" Mikey asked only to receive his reply moments later.

"Fools!" Stockman was hovering in the air above them, wearing a helmet that had a helicopter-like propeller on it. "You haven't seen the last of Dexter- Ugh! Baxter Stockman!"

With that, the scientist turned and flew out of an open window and disappeared into the night.

Dogpound lifted the garage doors of the warehouse up, right as the rest of the ninjas all fell through, landing on their knees on the street outside. They all panted and sighed with exhaustion.

"The truce… is over…" Fishface glared at Raph through his heavy breathing.

"Let's finish… ugh, this," Dogpound groaned as he stood back up.

The Hamatos tiredly pull out their weapons again, as the three foot prepared aswell. "Booyaka-" Mikey spins one of his nunchucks at the Foot, but immediately falls to the floor, yawning.

"Ah, forget it," Dogpound throws in the towel. "Next time." He mutters as he, Fishface and Daiki start heading back to their headquarters.

The Hamatos also turn away, starting to walk back to their lair. "You know Raph, you and Fishface actually made a pretty good team back there," Mikey admits to his brother.

"He's still our enemy, Mikey, and he'll take us out the first chance he gets," Raph tells him as he suddenly comes to a stop, pulling out his sai, and stabbing through a doom ball, thrown seconds ago by Fishface. "Trust your senses. You'll see 'em coming," Raph looks at Fishface with a smirked, who grins back and walks away with the other henchman.

When the three soldiers returned to their Master empty handed, he was not pleased.

But after the three explained what had ensued that night, (leaving out the part where they had to work with the Hamatos) The Shredder had promised a painful punishment if he ever saw the scientist again, and dismissed his henchman from the throne room to retire for the night. To leave only the armoured man and his mutant second in command.

But Daiki however, stayed after the two other mutants were gone. He stayed in his kneeled position, facing his Master. Nervously gulping as he mentally prepared himself. This man that sat before him, had saved his life, giving him a home, and gave him a new purpose. Yet he still felt so unnerved around him.

If he only knew the truth, all the facts about that fateful night, then maybe, he could finally have peace. The gnawing feeling that had tormented him since he was five, his and Miwa's conversation on the rooftops, and his argument with Leo. It could all be settled if he just had all the pieces of the puzzle.

"Master, may I ask you something?" The boy asked unsurely.

"You may." Shredder instructed simply. He was not in a good mood after the failure tonight, that was clear. So Daiki proceeded with caution.

The boy gulped as he looked up at his Master. "I want to know the truth. About what happened to my parents?"

The Shredder suppressed a glare as he kept an emotionless facade. "You know the truth Morikawa, they were slain by Hamato Yoshi."

"Hai, Master." Daiki acknowledged, "But...I wasn't there. I didn't see how he killed-"

"Enough!" He shut the boy up instantly. Daiki dropped to his knees and put his head down as the Shredder got up from his throne and approached him. This wasn't the reaction he expected.

"The details of what transpired are not something you should concern yourself with." The man stated bitterly "As soon as Hamato Yoshi is dead, you will be freed from this burden. As will I." He stopped in front of the boy. "You will speak no more of this. Am I understood, Morikawa?" He extended his blade.

"Hai." Daiki's answered in a quivering voice.

"Leave." Shredder stated with hostility.

Daiki got up and bowed respectfully, quickly leaving his Master and the tiger mutant alone in the throne room.

A few moments passed by and the man did not move. He stared at the door with dead eyes, before going and resuming his place on the throne. Sitting in the silent and dark room with his thoughts torturing him. Only to have another voice penetrate the words in his head.

"Master Shredder, I sense that you lied to the cub?" Tigerclaw asked curiously.

"And that is how it will stay." Shredder growled back unpleasantly. "It is of no concern to you, mutant."

"I feel like it is information your second in command should know." The tiger took a moment to think, a dark smile painted itself on the tigers muzzle. "The cub's parents did not die by the hands of Hamato, did they?"

The Shredder was silent, unnervingly silent. Until he found his voice again, harsh and devoid of emotion. "I did not know Hamato Yoshi had survived the attack that took my beloved, Shen. His body was never found in the ashes of the Hamato dojo. So I searched every part of Japan for him."

Shredder leered out the window of his decrepit old church, almost seeing the past play back in front of him. "In my hunt for Yoshi I came across a village in the mountains, close by to where the original Hamato dojo was. It was home to seven Hamatos. They were all distant cousins, but they still shared the dirty blood of the Clan they served once long ago." His looked turned to pure hate, "And they knew where Yoshi was hiding."

"They had all gone under alias, with new names and identities when they heard of the blood shed of their leader Yuuta, and eventually, my mission to find Yoshi and wipe out their bloodline." His sinful eyes glared into the tigers. "I found every last one of them."

"One of them happened to marry a man in the village a few years before I arrived. And she took that opportunity to change her name. The surname she went by was Morikawa." Tigerclaw raised his ears in realization at the familiar surname.

Shredder dismissed the mutants reaction, "As I did to the other six Hamatos hidden in that village, I tortured her for Yoshi's location. However, she would not give me what I wanted. So I watched her bled out in her home, as she begged for her childs life to be spared. I took it upon myself to make sure there were no witnesses. I set fire to what remained of the seven houses, burning any evidence that Hamato blood ever lived in that village. And so their bodies could never be recovered."

"That was when I saw the child. He cried outside of what remained of the burning home. It occurred to me that he would not have known of his Mother's birth name, or his true family. So I created his hatred for the Hamato Clan and taught him to curse his own bloods name. Just as Yuuta did to me."

The Shredder retrained his dead eyes onto the tiger once more. "As my second in command, I trust you with this information. If it is ever let out, I'll make sure you end up worse then his parents did. Understood?"

"I understand, Master." Tigerclaw bowed to him as he too was eventually dismissed from the room. Leaving the armoured man in his throne room alone to relive his sins in his head.

But unaware to the Shredder, behind the smashed stained glass of the church window, a tiny robot perched on the edge. It was small and oval shaped, and had a very similar appearance to that of a cockroach. But this tiny robot had a helpful feature. It had camera eyes that zoned in on the armoured man, and his conversation.

The owner of said bot, had been listening in on the conversation.

And he had heard everything...
