Chapter 29
The city of Argus is under attack by one of the largest horde of Grimm since the Vytal festival and one of the Largest in the history of Remnant. The Sith took out the main way of communicating with the outside world, but an astromech, directed by Quinlan Vos was able to get a message out. As soon as hope started to fill the people of Argus, the Leviathan appeared and was overcharged.
The Leviathan stood in the bay, red lines covering its body. It was given a miasma that supercharged it, making it far more powerful and durable. It stood off against the Colossus in the bay. The two monsters fought as the remaining residents of Argus were sent anywhere safe, they could go. The ships of the Third Fleet hovered in the air. They couldn't fire at the Leviathan without possibly damaging Colossus and killing Commander Cordovin.
The Leviathan brought a hand up and punched the Colossus. The giant machine stumbled back, almost falling. Cordovin was able to stabilize the machine before it fell. The Leviathan brought its head around and sent out a blast of fire from its mouth, engulfing the snub fighters that were trying to get some hits in. The fire condensed into a blue beam, quickly destroying the fighters, and taking out a building. The beam wasn't long enough or powerful enough to touch the command ships of the Third Fleet. But it was still too dangerous to get close. The Colossus brought up its gun arm and fired. The blast landed, causing the Leviathan to stumble backward into the cliffside. Part of the cliffside collapsed as the Levithan got back up. The colossus fired again, but the Leviathan batted away the second strike. It tossed it toward the city, destroying a city street.
"Dammit!" Cordovin said. She knew that if anyone had been near that street they were dead. And she killed them. She brought up the fist of the Colossus and punched the Leviathan. It took a step back, then punched at the Colossus itself. Cordovin saw the damage readings all over. She couldn't take too many hits like that. The Leviathan brought its fist up and punched the Colossus.
Cordovin wrapped the arm around the Leviathan and quickly brought up the Colossus's knee into the gut of the Leviathan. The Leviathan let out a grunt, then it pushed Colossus forward. Cordovin brought up the cannon arm and slammed it against the Leviathan, but she couldn't stop the Leviathan from bringing her down. She hit the docks, destroying or damaging many of them. The Leviathan got up and took a step on dry land. Only for all the guns of the Third Fleet to fire at it. It brought an arm up to protect itself. It spun around, creating a massive wave with its tail, knocking most people in the streets down, and knocking more fighters out of the air. It let out a roar as it took a step on land.
The Colossus stood back up and grabbed the shoulder of the Leviathan. It began to spin around when Cordovin hit it directly with a cannon blast. The Leviathan stumbled back. Only for it the bring its head down. It glared at Colossus. It let out a massive roar that Cordovin inside the machine. The cannon arm rose up, and dozens of missiles fired. The missiles forced the Leviathan back. A blast of ice dust came out and slammed into the Leviathan's chest. It gripped the cliffside and tore out a chunk of rock. It tossed the massive boulder at the Colossus. Cordovin did her best to dodge, but the Colossus wasn't the fastest. The boulder slammed into the Colossus. Cordovin looked at the damage reports. It could be worse.
The Leviathan let out the fire breath. She activated the shield and blocked against the fire. The cannon arm started to switch dust types. Cordovin raised the cannon arm and fired a massive blast of earth dust. The spike slammed into the Levithan, stopping the fire from condensing. It gripped the spike and snapped it in half.
"It's been amped! It takes a lot more to kill it now!" Ruby sent through her commlink. Mace Windu turned to Ruby.
"What do you mean amped?" Mace asked.
"Nihil can do that. They used that amp on a Beringel Grimm, and it took everything we had to kill it." Ruby said. The Colossus brought the shielded arm up, blocking a massive swipe. The shield almost broke. A group of interceptors came flying at the Leviathan. They launched their missiles and flew away after. They were the weakest version of the light missiles out there. They could take down a larger Grimm. They had some effect on the Leviathan but not enough of one. Mace grabbed his commlink.
"Do you have any more light missiles?" Mace asked the Fleet Command.
"The flagship used them all taking out the Grimm in the city. We're checking to see if there are any more that we don't know about, but it doesn't look good. Those things are hard to get." Ahsa Kael said.
The Leviathan grabbed the cannon arm and raised its hand in the air. The sharp-clawed finger came together and was aimed directly at Cordovin. She brought the shielded arm up as the Leviathan brought its hand forward. The impact overheated the shield. It would need time to recharge. The Leviathan brought its tail up and smacked one of the ships out of the sky.
Kaiser walked the streets. He was going to find Rosa. He knew she was near here, and knew she had the answers he sought. He could sense Rosa. He saw a hunter looking at him. The Hunter raised a weapon. Kaiser didn't even break stride as he began to drain the life from the hunter. The hunter should have run away, but now he's just going to be another dead body. The hunter tried to raise his weapon but found he couldn't. He was dead by the time Kaiser got to him.
Kaiser didn't care about the Leviathan Grimm that was currently attacking the city. He didn't care about the members of the alliance being killed. He didn't care that with every death here, his mission was made that much easier. What he did care about was learning why Rosa betrayed the Sith.
He couldn't understand her. She had so much hate for the Jedi. But she went right back to them, and for what? Team RWBY? Blake? They were pathetic. Why did she choose to be pathetic like them? Why did she choose to betray him? He needed to understand. He couldn't even think of a reason she would go back to those Jedi. Not after everything they did.
He knew she hated the Jedi. He felt it. So why did she return to them when she could have destroyed them?
Rosa was with Blake, taking down the last of the stragglers. The street was free from Grimm. Rosa looked around. Something felt off.
"You feel it too." Blake said. Rosa closed her eyes and reached out for the answer to her question. She opened her eyes and was shocked to find she recognized the presence coming for them.
"Kaiser's here." Rosa said. Blake looked at her. She felt it too.
"How far is he now?" Blake asked.
"I'm already here." Kaiser said. Blake and Rosa turned around. Kaiser stood there behind them. Hand on his lightsaber. He started moving back and forth glaring at both of them.
"Blake. You still disappoint. All of the people you knew in the White Fang are dead and you never even thought about them, did you?" Kaiser asked.
"You're still alive." Blake said. "And that's one too many." She held her lightsaber out.
"Rosa." He spat the word out like a curse. "You… Bitch. What compelled you to go back to the Jedi? You of all people?"
"Kaiser." Rosa said.
"You both betrayed me. Blake became a race traitor. She fought and killed the people she used to fight against. But she was always weak and a coward. Never able to stand for what she believed in. And then there's you, Umbra. Your betrayal was far worse." Kaiser said. Rosa took out her lightsabers and turned them on.
"You still use Maku's lightsaber. Didn't you turn that crystal red to show what Maku was like at the end? Isn't that what you told me? Didn't you tell me that you had no doubts about what we were doing? Didn't you help me kill children? Kill Jedi? Did she tell you that Blake?" Kaiser said. Blake looked at Rosa.
"Kill children?" Blake asked. Rosa gritted her teeth.
"I led children to their deaths. But you were the one who killed them!" Rosa shouted.
"They were being influenced by the light. You said that anyone weak enough to follow the light deserved to die. Yet here you fucking stand and pretend that wasn't really you. You keep telling yourself that it was Umbra. That was you. You were Umbra. You murdered people. You killed Jedi. You tried to kill Sun…" Kaiser said.
"Don't you speak his name!" Blake shouted out. That caught Kaiser off guard. He looked at Blake.
"I spared his life, just to make you suffer. All his suffering is because of you." Kaiser said.
"You MOTHERFUCKER!" Blake rushed Kaiser.
"Blake, No!" Rosa shouted. She rushed in as well. Kaiser blocked Blake's attack. He fired Wilt at Blake, hitting her in the stomach. He brought it back into the sheath with the force and spun around, kicking Blake in the stomach sending her flying back. Rosa jumped and slashed at Kaiser. He easily blocked her attacks.
"I know you Umbra. I know how you fight. But I must not have learned how you can justify your actions." Kaiser said.
"Salem is evil. She was doing exactly what Maku was." Rosa said. She jumped back and used her Maiden powers to send a fireball at Kaiser he brought out Wilt and absorbed the strike. Rosa gritted her teeth as she sent force lightning at Kaiser. He blocked it with his lightsaber. She landed and looked at Kaiser.
"You've grown weak since we've last fought, Umbra." Kaiser said.
"Stop calling me that." Rosa said.
"I thought I could trust you, Rosa. I told you about the most traumatic events in my life. And you just stabbed me in the back. They didn't know how I got my scar. You did." Kaiser said.
"I didn't leave because of you." Rosa said. She looked at Kaiser. She felt a wave of guilt overcome her.
"She doesn't answer to you." Blake said getting up. She took out her commlink. "Kaiser is in the city! Rosa and I are fighting him! I'm sending my coordinates!" Blake said.
"You think I fear the others?" Kaiser asked.
"They nearly killed you last time." Blake said.
"Who do you think will show up first? Yang or Weiss? I'd love to kill them first." Kaiser said. Rosa lowered her hand to the ground and a massive chunk of earth shot out. Kaiser stepped back and unleashed the energy he had gathered.
"You need to do more than that." Kaiser said.
Weiss got the coordinates and was rushing to help Blake and Rosa. She saw Yang running as well so she dove with her summon and picked her up.
"Thanks. I'm going to kill that bastard." Yang said.
"Let's hope so." Weiss said.
Ruby wanted to go. She really wanted to go, but she knew that she may be the only one who could stop the Leviathan. Mace looked at Ruby.
"Why aren't you going?" Mace asked.
"My eyes. They may be our only hope." Ruby said. Mace turned back to the Colossus and Levithan fighting. He didn't want to admit it, but he knew the Colossus wasn't going to win this fight.
The Mandalorians heard about Kaiser. Nix heard about Kaiser. She stood up.
"He's here. The one who killed Sienna is here!" Nix Khan said over the Khan comm channel. They all knew what that meant. So did the Emir clan. They stopped firing at the Leviathan. They were going to kill Kaiser.
Kaiser was battling off Rosa and Blake when he saw the Schnee summon flying toward him.
"Looks like the Schnee bitch is here." Kaiser said. Yang jumped off the summon and jumped toward Kaiser. He jumped back as she slammed into the ground. Kaiser blocked the stones flying at him. He landed and saw Yang rushing him. Weiss was behind him now.
"You won't be escaping this time!" Yang shouted. Kaiser blocked the strike and fired Wilt into her face. Yang stumbled back as Kaiser kicked her into Blake. He spun around and blocked Weiss's strike. He brought his hand forward and sent force lightning at her. She flew back, her summon catching her. She got off the summon and looked at Kaiser. He brought his hand up to his mask and crushed it. The SDC scar looked at Weiss accusatorily. She looked at it now.
"The SDC is dead. I suspect you have a hand in killing it." Weiss said.
"I did! Congratulations on figuring it out! I planted the bomb in the Green Baron that wiped out you Father, Mother, Brother, and everyone else who supported them in that building!" Kaiser said with a smile on his face. He spun around and blocked the strike from Yang.
"I was taunting Weiss. Wait your turn you cunt." Kaiser said. He headbutted Yang, making her stumble before sending a massive force wave at her. She withstood most of it but still was knocked back. Kaiser turned to Weiss.
"If I kill you, what do you think it would do to Umbra? Do you think it would make her fall again?" Kaiser asked. Rosa rushed in, but Kaiser blocked the strikes.
"Does that touch a nerve? I guess these pathetic women are what led you astray." Kaiser said, trying to hurt them with his words. He broke a lock with Rosa and grabbed her by the throat. Weiss rushed forward. Kaiser spun, bringing Rosa in the way of her strike.
"I could take you back now and you would find out Salem's anger for you. But this isn't about her. This is about us." Kaiser said looking directly into Rosa's eyes. She kicked him but he took it.
"I thought you were someone I could rely on. I thought you understood the pains of this misery we call life. I thought we helped each other and defended each other from whatever bullshit Salem would send our way. I protected you from the other Sith. I took so much shit for you going to check on them." Kaiser kept moving Rosa so they couldn't attack.
"I thought we were friends." Kaiser said. Rosa opened her mouth as he kept squeezing. She bit down hard on Kaiser's hand. He dropped her. As soon as he did Yang, Blake, and Weiss rushed in. He ducked under Blake's attack, parried Weiss, and Blocked Yang.
"I left Salem!" Rosa said.
The force users all stopped fighting when a Mandalorian stepped down. She took out a black lightsaber and pointed it at Kaiser.
"Kaiser, you and the Sith known as Umbra killed my sister, Sienna Khan. You are going to die now." Nix said.
"Do you know who Umbra is?" Kaiser asked.
"Someone who can change her appearance. That's all we learned." Nix said. Kaiser continued to block the strikes.
"She's right there. Lady Umbra is Rosa Reidan." Kaiser said. Nix looked at Rosa on the ground. Rosa's look gave it away.
"Then justice will be served today." Nix said. Blake, Yang, and Weiss broke off from Kaiser.
"You aren't going to touch Rosa." Yang said.
"She killed my sister. She must die." Nix said.
"This is bad." Weiss said. The leader landed next to Nix. He took out a lightsaber and looked at the scene in front of him.
"What's going on?" The Leader asked.
"Kaiser and the woman with two lightsabers killed Sienna." Nix said. The leader took out both of his lightsabers.
"Stop! Kaiser is turning you against us! She's not like that anymore!" Weiss said.
"We will defend her if we have to." Yang said.
"If you want revenge, kill Kaiser. Rosa's off limits." Blake said.
The Leviathan grabbed the arm of the Colossus once more. It tore off the arm. Cordovin jolted forward and looked at the damage reports. It didn't look good.
"It doesn't matter about Colossus now! Fire at this monster!" Cordovin shouted out in the comms. The Leviathan opened its mouth had out came the fire. It slammed into the body of the Colossus. Cordovin was watching the damage reports of the Colossus. It was taking far too much damage. She raised the cannon arm and fired all remaining missiles. The flame turned blue and cut the Colossus in half, but not before it launched a light missile. It slammed into the chest of the Leviathan and it let out a painful roar.
"Master, I can sense that Rosa and the others are in danger. Please, help them." Ruby asked.
"I will." Mace said. He was gone in the blink of an eye. Ruby knew that she had to figure out how her silver eyes worked. Everyone needed her to figure out how her eyes worked. She took a deep breath. She felt a wait come on her back. She opened her eyes and saw Maria there.
"I think I know what you're thinking. Now's the best time to do it." Maria said.
"Kind of." Ruby said.
"Let's steal one of the ships still around." Maria said.
"What? Why is that your first thought?" Ruby asked.
"You need to get close to it somehow." Maria said.
"Will you help me?" Ruby asked.
"There isn't much for me to do. The power is in you, Ruby. Believe in yourself and the light. If you do those two things, you'll get it." Maria said.
"Thanks. Is there any reason you're handing on my back?" Ruby asked.
"I've done too much running today. Carry me to the ship." Maria said.
"What? Fine." Ruby said. The Third Fleet was firing everything they had at the Leviathan. It was taking the shots.
Cordovin was still alive. She brought up the cannon arm and fired a lightning dust blast into the head of the Leviathan.
"I'll go to my death well knowing I did everything to stop you!" Cordovin shouted. The Colossus was almost destroyed, but she was still alive. She could still fight. She recharged the Colossus's cannon arm. The Leviathan was moving closer to her than before. Cordovin knew this was her last shot. She did something risky. She combined every type of dust left in the cannon for one final shot. The cannon arm rotated. It let out a massive explosion. The Leviathan Grimm was hit. There was a massive dust cloud around the Leviathan. Everyone stopped firing at it.
It let out another roar and the dust cloud went away. The Leviathan was missing an arm, with many smaller gashes across the body, but it was still standing.
"Go to HELL!" Cordovin brought up the cannon arm. The Leviathan brought its claw down directly into the cockpit. The cannon arm slammed into the face of the Leviathan.
"Commander Cordovin is gone." Ahsa Kael said. "Don't stop firing on that thing."
She couldn't show it in front of her men, but she was starting to get scared. They hadn't found another light missile.
"This is Jedi Knight Ruby Rose… General Kael… right?" Asha heard over her commlink.
"Jedi Knight Ruby Rose, we read you. What is it?" Asha asked.
"I might be able to kill that thing. I just need time to get close to it." Ruby said.
"How are you going to do that?" Ahsa asked.
"With my eyes…" Ruby said.
"What? Jedi Knight Ruby Rose, explain yourself." Ahsa demanded.
"I have Silver eyes." Ruby said as if that was an explanation.
"So what? How are your damn eyes going to take that thing down?" Ahsa said.
"Silver eyes have a power that's like the Light missiles… only, better." Ruby said.
"Someone search that up. Get Master Kael up here." Ahsa demanded.
Old Kael was already up on the deck. He was just out of Asha's line of sight.
"She's right. I've heard of the legends of Silver-Eyed Jedi. Trust her. She'll need all the help she can get." Old Kael said.
"Father, how long have you been up here?" Ahsa asked.
"Since I felt you worry." Old man Kael said, quiet enough for only Asha to hear.
"When I say I'm ready, I need all the firing to stop. Please." Ruby said.
"Alright. I'll trust you on this one Jedi Knight Rose." Asha said.
"Thank you." Ruby said.
"You get one clean shot. After that, we will have constant fire on that thing." Asha said.
"Thank you." Ruby said. Ahsa could hear the gratitude in her voice.
Kaiser looked at the Mandalorians. He looked at the Jedi. He took a step back. Rosa opened her eyes as she saw him take a step into the shade.
"Stop!" Rosa shouted.
Kaiser opened a portal and stepped through. Leaving all the fury of the Mandalorians on Rosa.
"I demand a duel." Nix said. "One-on-one."
Rosa stood up.
"Is the only other option you hunting down my friends to get to me?" Rosa asked.
"Yes." Nix said.
"If I win, will you all stand down?" Rosa asked.
"Yes." The Leader said.
"I accept."
"Rosa, you don't have to." Weiss said.
"We can handle them." Yang said. Blake grabbed Rosa. Rosa gave her a smile.
"Trust me." Rosa said.
Mace Windu finally got to the other members of Team RRWBY. He saw the Mandalorians turn to him.
"Do not interfere. Let this be an honorable duel." The Leader said. Qrow landed behind Yang.
"What's going on?" Qrow asked. "I thought we were on the same side."
"We were never on the same side. We just had mutual goals. But she killed Sienna Khan." Jasper said.
"Nix Khan, leader of the Khan Clan. Jasper Emir, Leader of the Emir clan." Qrow said. Jasper looked at Qrow.
"How do you know my name?" Jasper asked.
"You learn a lot when you listen." Qrow said.
"I accepted the duel. Don't interrupt it." Rosa said. She took off her hoodie and handed it to Yang.
She and Nix stood across from each other. She took out both her lightsabers. The green and red blades showing both sides of her history.
"Rules?" Rosa asked.
"No leaving the circle. No flying. This is an honorable duel." Nix said. The black blade hummed differently from how lightsabers normally do.
"That's different. Why?" Rosa asked.
"This crystal belonged to a Mandalorian." Nix said. They stood near each other. Rosa tossed her lightsabers and using the force created a circle. It was their arena. She brought her lightsabers back to her hand.
Nix took a step in. Rosa did the same.
"Neither of us can leave without losing." Rosa said.
"You won't be leaving alive." Nix said.
Rosa and Nix rushed at each other. Their lightsabers meeting.
The Leviathan was slowly moving forward. It had stepped into dry land. The ships were firing at it, only slowing its approach. Kit Fisto gathered up a large amount of water and used the force to create a massive ball which he threw at the Leviathan. It left a mark, but it was still walking.
Shaak Ti had used the force to pick up many large rocks and sent them at the Leviathan, but it just kept on moving. The Jedi were trying everything they could to get the Leviathan to slow down. It brought its hand down on a building and completely destroyed it. The Third Fleet was running low on Missiles to kill the Leviathan. It let out another blue fire breath, which was able to hit the shields of the Flagship. Asha felt the ship shake.
"Knight Rose, are you ready?" Ahsa asked.
"The ship's moving now. We should be ready soon." Ruby said.
"Hurry!" Asha said.
Nix was pushing Rosa back. She was a powerful duelist. Rosa recognized that she was a powerhouse. She switched between Forms IV, V, and VII quickly. She had to stay on the defensive. Sweat was running down her face. She rolled out of the way of one of Nix's attacks. Nix was good. Better than Sienna. But Rosa was better than the Umbra who took Sienna down.
She knew that the others were very concerned. They all knew that dueling was a weak point for her. They all knew that she massively struggled in one-on-one combat. She had those same thoughts running through her mind as well.
Weiss held her hands together at her mouth. She was filled with worry. She had never seen Rosa win a fight like this. She had seen her lose so many like this. She knew that Rosa had the maiden powers, and she was a lot stronger than she was for most of those fights, but she couldn't help it. Nix was going for the kill.
Yang folded her arms and tried to look like she had complete confidence in Rosa. But she didn't. She knew that Rosa was trained wrong by Maku so that she would lose fights like this. She knew that a lot of that had been corrected as a Sith, but she still struggled. Yang had to believe in Rosa. She had to. After all the time they spent looking for her, they had to believe that she could pull through this.
Blake was walking back and forth watching this. She kept thinking about all the times she had lost sparring matches. How many times she had lost her fights? She wanted to believe that Rosa could do it, but part of her was doubtful. The evidence to the contrary was starting to stack. She had to believe in her. She watched as Rosa blocked strikes and switched which saber was doing the aggressive fighting. That was one thing that Rosa had going for her. She was a jack-of-all-trades fighter. She had a lot of skills that would help her here. She needed the faith of her team.
Mace watched the fight. It was impressive how much Rosa had changed since he last saw her fighting. He watched both fighters carefully and knew that there would be a winner. But he also knew that this fight was going to take a while. He turned to Jasper Emir.
"Send your men to defend the city." Mace said.
"We cannot allow you Jedi to interfere." Jasper said.
"I will stop any interference." Mace said. Jasper looked at the man. Jasper knew he was telling the truth.
"Men, defend the city." Jasper said. "This match will be an honorable one."
The Mandalorians of the Emir clan left to defend the city.
Rosa blocked a downward strike from Nix. She was brought down to one knee. Rosa pushed up, forcing Nix back. She stumbled as the ground shook from the roar of the Leviathan. Rosa rushed forward. Nix turned her attention back to the duel. She blocked the strike.
Rosa quickly brought her lightsabers back and made a series of quick probing strikes that Nix blocked. Nix stepped back and ducked under one of the strikes. She stepped forward, getting close to Rosa, getting right up in her face. Rosa brought her foot up and kicked Nix. Nix skidded back, not expecting such a strong kick. Rosa stepped back while spinning her blades. Nix understood her a little better as a fighter.
Nix ran toward Rosa, raising her wrist. She used her Flamethrower. Rosa held her hand out and created a rock pillar that blocked the fire. She brought her hand down, moving the earth back to where it was. Nix was in the air and jumped at Rosa. Rosa jumped to the side, getting close to the ring's edge. She brought her hands forward and sent a force push against Nix. She brought up her hand and blocked the push.
Rosa and Nix rushed at each other again. Rosa jumped in the air and brought both her lightsabers down. Nix rolled out of the way and brought her lightsaber around her in a large arc. Rosa got up and blocked the strike. Rosa brought one of her lightsabers back and jabbed at Nix. She brought her lightsaber around to block it. Rosa saw the opening that Nix left, and dropped low, kicking her in the leg. Nix's leg buckled for a second. But she brought her lightsaber up to block Rosa's strikes. She raised her other arm and wrapped a cable around one of Rosa's arms. Rosa quickly brought her lightsaber down, cutting the cable a second before Nix brought it back. She knew that if Nix got that, her shoulder would have popped out of her socket, and she'd only have one arm. Rosa took a step back. Sweat was starting to drip down her face.
"Why did you kill her?" Nix asked.
"Salem ordered me to. Salem didn't want to have such a powerful force user out there." Rosa said.
"You could have said no." Nix said.
"I couldn't. Salem wanted a vessel. She would have made me bear it." Rosa said.
"So, you killed my sister, and all the force-sensitive guards?" Nix asked.
"My choice may have stopped Salem from getting a new and more powerful body." Rosa said.
"I don't care." Nix grabbed her helmet and took it off. She tossed it to her second in command. Rosa saw the family resemblance. She saw the anger in Nix's eyes.
"Kaiser gave her honor when she died." Rosa said. Nix's eyes narrowed. Rosa brought her lightsabers us from the brief respite she had. Nix's lightsaber started to change the frequency it hummed at. It looked heavier. Nix looked at Rosa.
"Don't use the dark side. I've been down that road." Rosa said. Nix growled.
"You have no right to tell me what to do!" Nix said.
"It's already making you weaker." Rosa held both lightsabers out, ready for the attack. Nix rushed forward. Rosa was calm, unlike Nix. Nix was using stronger attacks, but the lightsaber was so much slower now. She easily blocked it. She brought her red lightsaber up and brought her pommel around to smack Nix in the face. Nix punched Rosa after. Rosa felt her aura lessen from that attack.
"You're already weakening yourself." Rosa said. Nix rushed forward. Rosa blocked the strike easily.
"You're no good like this. Let go of that anger. If you don't, I'll easily win. Then you will have failed Sienna in every way." Rosa said. Nix growled at Rosa. But she knew that she was right.
"Why are you helping me?" Nix asked.
"This isn't honorable." Rosa said. Nix's eyes widened. Rosa broke the lock and kicked Nix back. Nix took a few deep breaths.
"Why are you helping her?" Blake asked.
"She deserves a fair shot. Sienna wouldn't be dead without me." Rosa said. Rosa turned back to Nix.
"Don't think I'll go easy on you now." Nix said. She rushed forward. Rosa and Nix continued their fight, with her lightsaber becoming lighter.
Oscar and the rest of team JNPOR were doing their best to deal with the massive Grimm that was smashing through the city now. He gritted his teeth as he had to jump out of the way of another massive bolder that came flying toward him. He rolled and saw one of the ships flying up toward the Leviathan. He felt Ruby in there.
"Guys! I have an idea, but we're going to need all of us to do it. Including you, masters. The Leviathan needs to stand still while Ruby uses her eyes. We have to hold it still while she does it." Oscar said into his commlink.
"We'll give it a try." Jaune said.
"We're going to need to get into position." Quinlan Vos said.
"We can do this! Jaune, help everyone get into position. This is going to be tough. We don't need to do anything fancy. Just keep that thing still!" Oscar shouted.
"Thanks, Oscar." Ruby said. He could hear the nervousness in his voice.
"We'll help you from up here as best as we can." Asha said. "The Jedi on board will reach out as well."
"Good. We have one shot at this. It's weak and bloody. We can handle this!" Oscar shouted.
Ruby's ship circled around the Leviathan. Ruby looked at Maria.
"I think it'll be obvious when they got it. Remember, don't think. Just do." Maria said.
"Thanks." Ruby said.
"This isn't about power. This is about protecting the sacredness of all lives. All the people in Argus. All the people who are in the Third Fleet. I know there's pressure on you, but you CAN do this. I have faith in you." Maria said.
"Okay, everyone! I hope you're in position!" Oscar shouted.
"We're here." Shaak Ti said.
"Ren and I are ready." Nora said.
"If we do this right, we won't have to do this again." Quinlan Vos said.
"This creature has caused enough destruction." Plo Koon said.
"We're ready." Old Kael said. There were many Jedi on deck.
"Jaune, Count us down." Oscar said.
"Three!"
The Leviathan took another step. It brought another fist into a building, sending rocks flying.
"Two!"
The Leviathan let out a roar that shook the ground. Pyrrha took a deep breath. She could feel the others standing ready to do their part.
"One!"
Oscar stared the Levithan in the eyes. The Leviathan spotted him. He could almost hear it chuckle.
"NOW!" Jaune shouted.
All the Jedi reached out their hands. The force was holding the Leviathan in place. The immense power of the force was brought forth against the Leviathan. It tried to move but found itself trapped.
Ruby's ship moved in front of the Leviathan. She was above Oscar. She looked at Maria.
"It would be more effective down there. Nothing gets trapped in here." Maria said. The Leviathan tried to take a step, but the force kept it from moving. It tried to open its mouth but it was stuck there. Completely still.
Ruby jumped from the ship and landed next to Oscar. She turned to him and saw his face covered in sweat. He was using all his energy to give her the time she needed.
"You… can do this Ruby." Oscar said. "I have total… faith in you… Nothing is impossible for you."
Ruby turned to the Leviathan. Its evil presence could be felt in the force. It was a dark spot of destruction. Ruby took a deep breath. She let the force in. She let it flow through her. Each breath felt new and brighter.
She ignored the roar of the Leviathan. She couldn't feel the wind blowing her hair and cape back. Oscar looked at her from behind. He smiled at her. He felt tears coming to his eyes as he saw Ruby standing against the Leviathan. He didn't understand why the tears came. But he didn't even for a moment think about stopping them.
"I think you've fallen for her." Ozpin said. Oscar didn't have the energy to even talk at this moment. All his energy had to be focused on keeping the Leviathan still.
"Ruby Rose is a hero." Oscar was finally able to get out.
The words that Maria told her swirled in her mind. She had doubts she would ever learn what this power was. But… Oscar being here silenced those doubts. He put himself at risk, directly in the line of the Leviathan to buy her more time. If he trusted in her that much, there could be no doubt.
She knew if her team was here, they too would have total faith in her. Mace Windu trusted her.
Images flashed in her mind. She saw Tai and Yang back on Patch smiles on their faces. She saw Alice and Onyx's faces after she showed them Cresent Rose for the first time. She saw a flash of her first day as a leader at Beacon. Her team was always behind her. Even if Weiss could have been a bit standoffish at first. She saw the day when Zwei came in the mail. She saw the food fight right before the second term. She saw Rosa at their house during the break, one of the most genuine smiles on her face as they were in the lake. She saw her team getting food together with Team JNPR at the Vytal festival. She saw Rosa baking for the team. She saw Penny smiling and laughing with her. She saw Weiss giving her coffee after their fight. She saw her team cheering her on during combat class. She saw the night before the finals of the Vytal festival when Jaune and Weiss had the most legendary Sabacc duel. She saw Oscar defending her from Luctus. She saw Rosa and her standing together. She saw Rosa laughing, then crying after she gave her honey. She saw Oscar sleeping in a bed of roses. She saw Pyrrha walking again for the first time. She saw Mace smiling when he knighted her.
Ruby saw Summer Rose, standing on the edge of a cliff. She turned around and smiled at Ruby. Tears flowed down her face. They were tears of joy.
"I love you, Ruby. You can do this." That was all Summer had to say.
Ruby opened her eyes. She felt the light erupt from her eyes into a massive light. It covered the entire city. It wrapped around the Leviathan. She could hear the Leviathan scream as the light entered every part of its body.
The Light stopped, returning to Ruby's eyes. She opened her eyes once more and saw the Leviathan had turned to stone. She raised her hand. She sent out a force push, and the stone leviathan crumbled.
Ruby turned around to Oscar. She smiled and held her hand out.
Ruby dropped to one knee. Oscar grabbed her quickly.
"Thank you." Ruby said.
"You did it, Ruby." Oscar said.
"Every inch of me is exhausted." Ruby said.
"Yeah. That happens from time to time." Oscar said with a smile. Ruby smiled too. They started laughing.
"But seriously, I might need to be carried down from here."
"Don't worry." Oscar said. Ruby heard cheering coming from her Commlink.
"You did it!" Nora shouted.
"That was amazing!" Pyrrha said.
"Whatever that power was, it certainly was effective." Quinlan Vos said.
Oscar sat down on the roof next to Ruby. He looked at her and laughed.
"That really drained me. I need a few minutes before I can carry either of us out of here." Oscar said.
Rosa felt the power of Ruby's Silver eyes before seeing it. They felt the Grimm fading away. All that was left was dealing with the Duel. Nix and she were still going at it. They both got good hits in. Rosa had a bloody nose, while Nix had a split lip and the formation of a black eye. They more often than not moved to punches and kicks rather than lightsaber blows. But they still had them up.
Neither of them were doing too many acrobatics. They were both covered in sweat. Rosa was taking deep breaths as she and Nix separated for a bit. Nix lifted her lightsaber up and Rosa and let it hang there.
"You've pushed me." Nix said. Rosa smiled.
"You've got a mean jab." Rosa said. Nix didn't say anything to the compliment. Nix rushed in. She and Rosa put away their lightsabers. They didn't need them anymore. Nix brought her fist up, where Rosa blocked. She used the force to save herself from damage from the armor. Rosa grabbed Nix's wrist and twisted. She let out a slight pained gasp, the Rosa punched Nix in the face. She let go and let Nix stumble back. She rushed forward and landed a dropkick on Nix. Nix stumbled back, but Rosa brought her leg up, kicking Nix again in the chest. Nix grabbed her leg and brought her knee up. Rosa was thankful that she still had some of her semblance left otherwise her leg would have been broken.
Rosa pushed off the ground and wrapped her arms around Nix. One hand went around her throat. Nix let go of her Leg and grabbed at her throat. Rosa let go and dropped back to the ground, where she pushed off again, kicking Nix in the face. Nix was pushed back again, her nose bleeding now too. Nix brought a surprise punch, and hit Rosa in the face, leaving a cut. Rosa brought her fist forward, which Nix brought her fists up to block. Rosa stopped and swept Nix's legs out from under her. Nix slipped on the ground. She started to get up when Rosa put her foot on Nix's armor. She pushed, sending Nix back to the ground.
Outside of the ring.
"I win." Rosa said. Nix opened her eyes wide and looked down. She slammed her fist on the ground.
"I get to decide your fate now, right?" Rosa asked.
"Yes." Nix said. She looked at Jasper, who she could tell was upset by the ending there. Rosa took out her lightsaber and brought it next to Nix's head.
"Rosa! Stop!" Yang shouted. Nix closed her eyes. Rosa had every right to do this. She won. Nix would have done the same. She wished Jasper wouldn't have to see this. She accepted this fate.
Rosa turned off her lightsaber. She spat on the ground. There was more blood than spit. Nix reached up and realized she singed some of her hair.
"I am far more powerful than when I helped kill your sister. You were far tougher. I don't want us to fight. We don't have to be friends. But I never want to be your enemy again." Rosa said.
Blood ran down Rosa's face. Nix was pretty sure she was also going to get a black eye to match the one she was going to get.
"ROSA! Don't scare me like that!" Yang said.
"Sorry Yang." Rosa said.
"That's it? You're not going to kill me?" Nix asked. "What if I come after you again?"
"You won't. It's not in your character. It might have been in Sienna's… but not you." Rosa said she turned around and walked back to her team. She started limping. Nix realized that kick hurt a lot more than she thought it did. And she still beat her with that damaged leg.
"Thank you for not killing her." Jasper said.
"I've done enough killing. It's time to let people live." Rosa said. Yang put her hoodie over Rosa.
"You impressed me, Rosa." Mace said.
"You knew I was going to win. I could feel it." Rosa said. She spat again on the ground. More blood. "I really hope I don't have a cracked tooth."
"You'd be lucky to just have that." Weiss said.
"I'm about to collapse, but I don't want to do it in front of them. I need you to hug me so you can hold me up." Rosa said to Weiss.
"Gods, it's that bad?" Weiss said. She did as Rosa asked.
"I'm going to need a dip in the bacta tank." Rosa said.
Nix got up and looked at Rosa. She was feeling like shit. But She didn't have to hide it like Rosa. Jasper grabbed hold of her.
"I've got you." Jasper said.
"I think she broke a rib or two." Nix said.
"We'll get you some bacta." Jasper said. Nix put her head against Jasper's chest.
Argus was saved.
Salem looked Nihil and Requiem. She was pleased with them. They bowed in front of her. She stood over them. She placed her hands on both of their heads.
"Darth Nihil. You are given power of the influence of chaos. You will work with Lilith when the time is right. You will create your Miasmas still. You will teach apprentices how to create chaos within the enemy ranks that will tear the enemy down. You will be in charge of Propaganda. You will have a spy network that will show us exactly where the enemy is weakest. You will be the knife that shatters the enemy." Salem said. With her hand on her head, her power flowed down and left a new Tattoo on her back. The emblem of chaos.
"Darth Requiem, you will be over the Sphere of Weapons and Tactics. You will work with Darth Kaiser when need be. You will continue to craft all the weapons you can. You will be in charge of the training of the Sith armies and proper protocol. You will create weapons out of the Sith soldiers. You will be in charge of supply lines, keeping our army weaponized, and bringing innovations to our war machine. You will also be in charge of crafting Shaak armor for all the members of the inner circle for the War in Atlas." Salem said.
They both had roles that overlapped with the other members of the Dark Council. Salem knew that she needed to keep them focused on each other rather than on her. She learned her lesson from the Civil War. The Symbol of the Weapons sphere appeared on Requiem's chest.
They went to their personal spheres of influence. Salem was alone for a moment. The Kaiser entered her throne room. She looked at him. She knew he was at Argus. She couldn't hide that from her.
"Where were you?" Salem asked. She wanted to see how forthcoming Kaiser was.
"I was searching for the answers to some questions I had?" Kaiser said. Salem stood up and slowly moved over to Kaiser.
"Did you find the answers?" Salem asked.
"No. I have only been left with something more confusing." Kaiser said. Salem stood in front of Kaiser and grabbed his chin. She brought his eyes up to her. She looked into the eyes. The one that was scarred, and the one that was corrupted.
"You went to see Rosa." Salem said.
"I needed to figure out why. How. I don't understand how she could have gone back to them." Kaiser said.
"You are finally being honest. What did you do?" Salem asked. Her hand rolled over his scar. He held back a shutter from her touch.
"I fought her. I fought Rosa. And her team." Kaiser said.
"I want to know how you felt. Did you hold back for even a second?" Salem said. Her voice had become softer. Kaiser's will was still standing.
"I fought her. She and Blake tried to stop me, but I overpowered them." Kaiser said.
"You met the two who betrayed you so deeply. Are they still alive?" Salem asked.
"Unfortunately. Nix Khan and the entirety of the Emir and Khan clans arrived. I was able to choke Rosa." Kaiser said.
"Like this?" Salem wrapped her hand around his neck. She lifted Kaiser off the ground. His eyes opened.
"Yes." Kaiser said. Salem began to squeeze before dropping Kaiser. He slammed onto the ground. He got his breath back.
"I hope you weren't planning on making the same mistake that Rosa herself made." Salem grabbed Kaiser off the floor and made him stand back up. Kaiser starred Salem.
"I don't understand it. She had power. She had influence. She had revenge. How could she turn her back on that?" Kaiser asked.
"Rosa and Umbra are two different people. Rosa is the poison that killed Umbra. Rosa is a weakness that took the Umbra you knew from you." Salem placed her hand on Kaiser's cheek. He was starting to break. He realized it too and refortified himself. That impressed Salem. He could prove to be someone who could sire her a powerful Sith child. She put her hand on his chest.
"Lady Salem." Kaiser said.
"You are so much stronger than her, Kaiser. I am counting on you to bring her in. You are my loyal soldier." Salem said. She felt Kaiser's resistance crumbling over her words. Her influence over his mind was strong. She knew exactly what she was doing to him.
"I will bring her back Lady Salem." Kaiser said.
"I trust you will." Salem said. She leaned in and planted a kiss on his lips. Her manipulations were strong. Kaiser's eyes opened wide. He had no idea what to do. Salem moved back.
"You must not get too obsessed with her. I am the woman who should be on your mind. I am the only woman you need to impress here. I am everything here. Remember who I am Kaiser." Salem said. Her influence on Kaiser was almost complete. But there was still this hard individualism that he had to him. She needed to kill that little flaw in him. But that would take time. She had to be careful with Kaiser. Part of his power comes from his determination. She had to keep that intact. She had a challenge ahead of her. She could sense that Kaiser had no idea what to do about the kiss. She could feel her effects on him. He would become exactly what she wanted him to be.
"Lady Salem?" Kaiser asked. He was confused.
"Whatever I desire, Kaiser, I get. And I desire only the strong to be in my company." Salem said. She poked at his endless amounts of pride.
"I live to be whatever you need me to be." Kaiser said. He still tried to be the general that he was to her. He was such a good soldier. She brought her thumb to his lips. She needed him to desire her. She needed him not to see the obvious manipulation. She needed him to obsess over her.
"I will always have need of you, Kaiser. In that, you can always be certain." Salem said. She needed more that had Kaiser's ability. The natural powerful force drain ability was needed but the Sith. She needed him to sire more children. It took so long for him to produce the five with Umbra, and now that source is gone from her.
"What do you need from me now, Lady Salem?" Kaiser asked. She gave him a seductive glance.
"I need your ability to spread, Kaiser. Your drain is so powerful that it needs to spread. But it seems that you have to be an active participant in making more. The Sith need more of your children, Kaiser." Salem said. Kaiser didn't say anything. He wanted to refuse, she could tell. Kaiser had plenty of honor. She knew their type. They thought they should create only a few powerful offspring that he could personally train. She could destroy that idea.
Ruby woke up on the flagship of the Third Fleet. She was in the medical wing, with Oscar on the bed next to her. There were others in the wing. Rosa and Nix Khan were both in Bacta tanks. Oscar was sitting up in bed. He turned to Ruby with a smile. There were bandages on his chest.
"A powered-up Beringel surprised me. The adrenaline kept me from feeling the fractured collarbone." Oscar said. "Bacta is one hell of a drug."
"Am I here just because I was tired?" Ruby asked.
"They checked up on you. Turns out your knees were injured a little. Must have been when you landed in front of me." Oscar said. Ruby smiled at Oscar. She turned to Rosa and Khan.
"What happened to those two?" Ruby asked.
"They had a duel." Ruby heard the voice of the Leader. She turned to see him standing at the door, looking at Nix.
"Why?" Ruby asked.
"Your friend helped kill Sienna Khan. Nix wanted revenge. Rosa won their duel and spared her life." The Leader said.
"So, do you have a name? We can't just keep calling you the leader." Oscar said.
"The others already know. It's Jasper Emir." Jasper said.
"Jasper? Like the gem?" Ruby asked.
"Your name is Ruby." Jasper said.
"Alright." Ruby said.
"Rosa and Nix were nearly equal." Jasper said.
"They said Rosa was walking on a nearly broken leg and had taken a lot of hard hits to the face. They also said Nix had a few broken ribs, and many injuries to the face as well." Oscar said.
"It was close." Jasper said.
Jaune went to check on Saphron and Terra. He opened the door and saw them with Adrian. They turned to him.
"Jaune!" Saphron and Terra said when they saw him.
"Hey, guys. Glad to see you were okay." Jaune said. He moved and hugged them both.
"It's all done. Argus is safe. You guys are safe." Jaune said. His voice was filled with all sorts of emotions. Calm and fear, worry and exhaustion, triumph and peace. Adrian hugged his leg.
"Does this mean that you're going to be moving on to Atlas soon?" Terra asked.
"Once everyone's recovered. Thank you again for letting us stay here." Jaune said.
"You are always welcome here." Saphron said.
Jaune took a step back. He saw the Relic on the table. They kept it safe.
"Everyone's going to come back here before we move on to Atlas." Jaune said.
"We'll have to do something special." Terra said.
Pyrrha went to her mother's house. It was still standing. She was thankful for that. She knocked on the door and called out for her mom. Monica opened the door and wrapped her arms around Pyrrha.
"I'm so glad you're okay." Monica said.
"I'm alright Mom. Thanks to Ruby." Pyrrha said.
"Why do you have to do these dangerous things?" Monica asked. Tears coming to her eyes.
"Because we're the only ones who can Mom. We have to." Pyrrha said.
"It kills me inside when I hear about where you've been and what you've seen." Monica said.
"I know." Pyrrha said. She held onto Monica tightly. Pyrrha felt tears coming to her eyes.
"I understand that you are strong and important. I get that. I know you are needed. But you are also my daughter." Monica said.
"Mom…" Pyrrha's voice quivered. Pyrrha always struggled with emotions. She was never trained in how to deal with them, except to push them down. Which she constantly did. Jaune had been helping her just as much as she helped him. But even with all the training that Jaune gave her on emotions, she couldn't handle the fear and dread in her mother's voice.
Monica took a few breaths and ended the hug. She held Pyrrha in her arms. She smiled, still having tears running down her face.
"But I am so proud of you too." Monica said. Only the way a mother could both scold and nurture their child, Monica did with Pyrrha.
"And I am so happy for you. I am happy you found friends and love." Monica said.
"Thank you, mom." Pyrrha said.
Ironwood heard about the attack on Argus and the heroic efforts of the Jedi. He let out a sigh. The Seers were right about the attack. But that only left a much greater dread floating over his head. He knew Atlas was next. And this would be a full-blown war. This would be worse than Hellio. It would be worse than Menagerie. It would be worse than Mistral. It would be worse than Vale. Atlas would decide the fate of everything.
He had to recall Winter from Menagerie. He had to start prepping her to take the Winter Maiden power. They needed to keep the Winter Maiden's power under control. He didn't trust Raven at all. He only trusted Rosa as long as she was with her group. And the Summer Maiden was still so mysterious.
He needed Oz. He needed help. The enemy was closing in. Robyn Hill was still a wild card who could either help or hurt him. The entire force of the Alliance will most likely have to be called upon. That may mean that the people of Menagerie might need to create the Sixth fleet.
Ironwood had to do this. There was no one else who could take his spot. He knew it. And he knew that the Sith knew it. He would be one of the most important targets. He had to rely on the seers.
Rosa woke up in a bacta tank. A feeling that she was once far more accustomed to. She moved her leg around and felt it was better. She wasn't tasting blood in her mouth, just bacta. She looked over and saw Nix floating beside her. She was in a body glove that she must have been wearing below her armor. She looked down and rolled her eyes when she saw she was in the standard issue Bacta swimwear.
She opened the top of the bacta tank and took the breathing mask off. Ruby and Oscar were in beds by her. Ruby turned to her.
"Rosa!" Ruby said.
Rosa propped herself at the top of the bacta tank.
"It's been a while since I had to swim in one of these." Rosa said with a smile.
"Congratulations on your win." Oscar said.
"You guys got the big prize." Rosa said. A doctor walked into the room.
"We're going to wake…" He said as he looked down at his papers. He looked up to see Rosa already hanging out of the Bacta tank. He turned to Nix and saw she was still asleep.
"It looks like we only need to wake Nix Khan up." He said. Rosa got out of the tank. She dripped some, but the bacta tank had a grate around to catch that. She was handed a towel and her clothing. The medic got Nix out and she started getting ready to get back out there. Rosa turned to her and smiled.
"I really hope we never fight again." Rosa said. Nix turned around and had a smile on her face.
"Afraid I'll break your leg next time?" Nix said.
"Absolutely." Rosa said. Rosa turned back to Oscar and Ruby. Rosa used the force to move the curtain. She wrung out her hair and looked at her clothes.
"Rosa, aren't you going to go further down to get changed?" Ruby asked.
"You've already seen everything." Rosa said. Ruby pointed to Oscar's face was burning and trying his best to look anywhere else.
"You're acting like you've never seen someone naked before." Rosa said rolling her eyes.
"That's because I haven't!" Oscar said.
"Nothing like Ruby then. She's seen what everyone has to offer." Rosa said, looking to see if Ruby would go red.
"Hey, only one of us gets to tease like that." Ruby said. Oscar brought his hands to his face and let out a groan.
"Fine. He probably wants to see you first." Rosa said before Ruby tossed an apple at her that she was eating. Rosa gave Ruby a wink before moving further down.
"I didn't think she liked to joke about that stuff." Ruby said.
"I don't want to see you naked." Oscar said, his face completely red. He was so nervous about what Rosa said. "I mean I'm not calling you ugly or anything, not at all. I just mean that I don't think I should be looking at you that way because…"
"I had no idea you could get that red." Ruby said. He stopped and looked at Ruby. She had a smirk on her face. He saw her cute dimples which didn't help the situation at all.
"I'm sorry Ruby, I can't believe that Rosa would say something like that. I mean I have no idea where that thought came from at all. I have nothing but respect for you…" Oscar continued to ramble.
"Oscar. She was teasing." Ruby said. That got Oscar to stop. He took a deep breath.
"Unless you don't want it to be." Rosa said from behind the curtain. Oscar dropped his head into his hands.
It took about another few days for them to have everything they needed to go to Atlas. The masters went on ahead of them to help with whatever they could. It gave everyone enough time to get clothes for Atlas. And enough time for Team RRWBY to all get piercings. Weiss finally got the rest of her team to wear earrings.
Everyone got on the ship for Atlas. Rosa looked out the window of the ship and watched as Argus was left behind. Oscar was wearing the relic. He stood by Nora and Yang, chatting with them. Yang wore her new jacket that almost touched the floor. It had fluff around the neck and was made for colder climates. She wore an orange heavy shirt below the jacket, which left a pop of color. Her boots made noise if she moved at all. Weiss decided to stay with Rosa.
"It's… been a while since I had to come back home. I haven't seen it since we started at Beacon." Weiss said.
"Last time I saw it was when the White Fang attacked. Rosa said. Rosa showed Weiss her open palm.
"Do you need to hold it?" Rosa asked.
"Thank you for the offer." Weiss said. She grabbed Rosa's hand, and Rosa could feel the dread about going back to Atlas. She really didn't want to go back.
"We're going to be okay." Rosa said.
"Part of me wants to believe that. But part of me is screaming right now saying that we should go back before something terrible happens." Weiss said.
"It's just nerves." Rosa said.
"I know." Weiss said.
Weiss was wearing her new outfit as well. It was a dress, which made Ruby happy. The dress was similar in style to the one Pyrrha was wearing, but blue and a bit puffier. She had large puffy sleeves that were halfway between white and blue. She wore blue gloves and dark blue stockings. She wore white boots with a blue strap and a heel that gave her a few more inches. The top of her dress was popped up and revealed an inner red. She wore a white puffy shirt underneath the dress. She also found a small tiara that held her hair together.
Blake put a hand on Weiss's shoulder.
"We're together. We got this." Blake said.
Blake was in a long black heavy coat with white faux fur both inside the jacket and around zipper at the top. She wore her flame-repellant clothes underneath as a precaution. Nora decided to keep the flame-repellant clothing as well in her new outfit. She wore bug black snow boots. She had a large purple ascot.
"Yeah, Team RRWBY's together on this." Ruby said.
She was in her new outfit as well. She wore a black and red lined lace-up corset with four buckles hanging loose over a mesh sleeveless top over a white low-cut long-sleeved blouse, as well as a black choker around her neck. She wore a red pleated skirt that split at the side with a small brown belted strap across the gap, and bright red shorts under it. On her arms, she wore black bracers with large brown buckled straps around the wrist as well as black fingerless gloves. She wore black, thigh-high steel-toe boots with red soles and heels, a single buckled strap, rear seam, and a large brown buckled strap with attached pouches near the top, over a pair of brown mesh tights. Her lightsabers dangled on her hips as she wore new belts with her Jedi utility belt. On her side were all strong light dust bullets.
"We've got this." Rosa said. She was somehow able to find almost exactly what she wore in Mistral and Argus but in heavy clothing. The hoodie was changed into a jacket. The shirts she wore were heavier, with small amounts of heating. Her boots were longer and warmer. Her gloves were the same though.
The ship kept flying toward Atlas. When in range of the comms, the pilot called in. Ironwood got to the landing docks. He looked as the ship came into view and touched down. The doors opened, and the Knights hopped out of the ship. Qrow looked up at Ironwood. Oscar stood next to him, the relic still on his side. Ironwood moved forward.
"Qrow, Ozpin." Ironwood said. "Is everyone safe?"
"Yes, Ironwood. We all made it." Oscar said. Ironwood turned to Oscar.
"Good. We have a lot to plan for. I'll need all of your help if we're going to survive." Ironwood said.
"What do you mean?" Qrow asked.
"The seers had a vision. War is coming to Atlas. And it will be the thing that decides everything."
Author's Notes: We finished the Argus arc and made it to Atlas. This is the last major setting we're getting to before the story ends. We got to get ready for the Atlas War arc. So at the end, Weiss, and Yang's redesigns are based on Rueleaf on Deviant Art, and Blake's is based on Rinf. Ruby is just in her Atlas outfit since I think it doesn't have that much wrong with it. Ren won't change outfits, he would just have a heavier jacket from what he was described as having. Nora can be assumed to have her Atlas outfit with the Mara Jade inspired outfit beneath. Oscar won't change.
I hope that the Leviathan's Kaiju was fun to read. I wanted to make it feel more like the homage to Godzilla that It was written as, but I think Kit killed one during the battle of Menagerie so we go with the amped Leviathan. Ruby was the only person who would have been able to kill it.
Salem is manipulating Kaiser, as I hope was obvious enough. She has no romantic feelings for him. She is using him.
Nix and Rosa aren't in separate leagues. They are very close in skill level, but Rosa just barely manages to be above her. But it is enough of a difference. Rosa has always been good at Hand-to-Hand combat and was even able to take out teams RWBY and JNPR in chapter 4. It has been established, so her being able to beat a Mandalorian is something I hope you can see as believable. Also, this is her first 1v1 win in the entire series, and we're close to half a million words. Speaking of word count. I have archived over 1 million words now.
Review time. Two from CT7567Rules. Thank you again for reviewing.
So, I do recommend that you get caught up. There are a lot of things in these chapters that can be seen as spoilers. I told you the ones I highly recommend you read.
And for your second review, Porque no los dos? (If you know the meme. If you don't it's a commercial about hard shell and soft-shell tacos where a little girl says Why not both?) Jasper's not done yet. There's the Atlas War that's about to go on. I can certainly see him having many more guns that we haven't seen yet.
