It was supposed to be a normal day in the lives of Jimmy and Jey Uso, along with Naomi. A tag team match here, some media appearances there—but what none of them expected was to end up chasing a small blue alien across downtown Honolulu. The creature moved like a hurricane, flipping through streets and alleyways, leaving bits of chaos and destruction in its miniature wake.
"Are we sure that's not someone in a costume?!" Jey panted as he sprinted down the street, weaving through pedestrians.
"Bruh, I told you!" Jimmy barked, just a few paces ahead. "Ain't no costume can jump off a five-story building and land like that!"
Naomi, close behind them, narrowed her eyes. "Well, whatever it is, it's moving fast—stop talking and catch it before the cops get called again. I'm not bailing y'all out of another mess!"
The chase continued until the little blue thing darted into a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of the city. The trio halted at the corner, trying to catch their breath while scoping out their surroundings.
"I…I think it went this way," Naomi said, pointing toward a pale blue house with a wraparound porch and potted plants hanging neatly from the eaves.
"That's someone's house, though," Jey said, wiping sweat from his brow. "We just bustin' in now? That's the move?"
Jimmy smirked. "You scared?"
"I'm just sayin', you don't know who lives there. What if they have a dog or worse—a bat?"
Naomi rolled her eyes. "How about we knock first? You know, manners?"
Jimmy shrugged, walking up to the door. Before he could reach it, though, the front door swung open. Standing in the doorway was a striking Black woman with glowing brown skin and long braids that cascaded down her back. Her eyes, sharp and slightly amused, landed on the trio.
"Can I help y'all?" she asked, folding her arms over her chest. She looked calm enough, but the Usos could tell she wasn't one for unnecessary nonsense.
Jimmy gave her a sheepish smile. "Uh, yeah… So, here's the thing: a little blue…something ran through here. Looks like a rabid teddy bear."
The woman's expression softened, and a tiny smirk tugged at the corners of her lips. "You mean Stitch?"
Naomi's jaw dropped. "Wait…you know that thing? That thing has a name?"
At that exact moment, the blue creature sauntered out from behind the woman, wearing a smug expression. It carried something in its clawed paw—a half-eaten loaf of bread. Stitch settled down at her feet, glancing dismissively at the new arrivals.
"Of course I know him," the woman said, her voice warm now. "He's mine. Sora, by the way." She extended a hand toward them.
Jimmy shook it first. "Uh, Jimmy. This is my brother Jey, and that's my wife, Naomi."
"Hey," Naomi said, still cautiously eyeing Stitch. "I feel like there's a story here."
Sora laughed lightly. "Oh, there's a story, all right. Wanna hear it over dinner?"
The trio exchanged surprised glances. Jey raised an eyebrow. "You're inviting us to dinner? You don't even know us."
"True," Sora admitted, playfully shrugging one shoulder. "But I'm making Pot Pie Stuffed Shells, and honestly, it's too much food for one person…and Stitch's appetite is *limitless.*"
At the mere mention of the meal, Stitch rubbed his belly and purred, "Pot piiieee…" He gave Naomi a toothy grin, which didn't help ease her suspicion, but she had to admit—Sora seemed cool, and she was hungry after all the running.
"Well, you already had me at food," Jimmy said with a laugh. "What about you two?"
Naomi and Jey shrugged in unison. "We're in," Naomi said.
Dinner with a Side of Chaos
Sora wasn't lying about her kitchen skills. The smell of buttery garlic bread and cheesy pot pie filling hit Jimmy and Jey the moment they stepped inside the house. The kitchen was cozy but meticulously clean, and Stitch was already perched on a stool by the counter, tail wagging as Sora stirred sauce in a pan.
"Y'all can sit in the dining room," she called over her shoulder. "I'll grab everything in a minute."
As they made themselves comfortable, Naomi glanced around at the eclectic décor. There was something whimsical and vibrant about the space—framed photos of tropical landscapes, brightly colored throw pillows, and what looked like a collection of hand-carved figurines on a shelf nearby. More fascinating still were the photos of Sora herself, younger and smiling, alongside Stitch.
Jimmy leaned over and whispered, "She looks so normal, but she's got a whole alien running around her house."
Naomi swatted his arm. "Be polite. She's feeding us, remember?"
Dinner was as delicious as promised. The Pot Pie Stuffed Shells oozed with flaky, creamy goodness, perfectly complemented by golden garlic bread, while the Fudgy Cookie Dough Brownies were downright sinful. Even Jey, who had been wary of the alien situation, begrudgingly admitted the meal belonged in a cookbook.
Stitch, naturally, devoured his fair share, though he did manage to behave…mostly.
"So, let's hear it," Jey said, leaning back in his chair. "What's the deal with the little guy?"
Sora smiled, sipping her wine. "Long story short, Stitch is an experiment—kind of an alien monstrosity that got separated from his spaceship years ago and ended up here. We crossed paths when I was living on Kauai, way back in my twenties. He grew on me, and before I knew it, he was family. You know, ohana and all that."
Jimmy and Naomi nodded in understanding. They weren't strangers to the concept of family, even in unconventional forms. Jey, however, scratched his head. "And you're just…cool with that? Like, no government agents showing up or nothin'?"
Sora laughed. "Oh, the government showed up once. But let's just say, Stitch isn't the only one who's…unique." She winked but left her comment hanging.
Afterward, they all lounged in the living room, each of them stuffed and satisfied. Jimmy and Jey marveled at how such an ordinary-looking evening could hide so much chaos.
Naomi glanced over at Stitch, who had fallen asleep at the foot of the coffee table. "You know, I gotta say, I didn't trust him at first, but he's kind of cute when he's not running amok."
"Just don't leave your shoes out," Sora warned. "He likes to chew them."
Naomi's smile faltered. "Noted."
The Usos and Naomi stayed a little longer before thanking Sora for her hospitality and making their way out. As they left, Jimmy turned back to look at the house one final time. "Man, Hawaii's got some weird energy, huh?"
Jey nodded. "Yeah, but I'm not mad about it. That food was worth it."
"Y'all better thank *me* for keeping up with that thing in the first place," Naomi reminded them, a triumphant grin on her face.
Jimmy wrapped his arm around her shoulders, chuckling. "Yeah, yeah. You win this one, babe."
Inside the house, Sora smiled at the sound of their laughter fading into the night. Stitch climbed into her lap with a sleepy grunt.
"You think they'll come back to visit?" he asked, yawning.
"Oh, I'm pretty sure they will," Sora replied, scratching behind his ear. "They're ohana now."
And just like that, chaos brought three wrestling superstars and one thirty-something with a mischievous alien together—proving once again that family can come from the most unexpected places.
