Anzai feels a sense of contentment wash over him. It felt right, holding Aina's hand and walking with her like this.
As they returned to the apartment, Anzai unlocked the front door and ushered Aina inside, closing the door behind them.
"Welcome home," he said, turning to face her as he smiled warmly. Watching her sigh in comfort filled his heart with a sense of happiness.
Anzai walked over to the couch and sat down, patting the spot next to him. "Come here," he said, gesturing for her to join him. Aina went over to the couch and sat down next to him. Leaning back against the couch, he felt content with her near him. "I'm glad you're here," he said, as she noticed his heart beating softly. "Feel my heart. It's beating fast, isn't it?" His touch stroked her black locks gently, soothing her.
"It feels warm.." Aina smiled as Anzai chuckled a little. "I guess that's what happens when I'm with you." He said, his hand still stroking her hair.
Aina fluttered her eyes closed and drifted to sleep. Anzai felt a sense of peace washing over him. Carefully adjusting his position so that she sleeps comfortably on his chest, wrapping his arms protectively around her.
Feeling really grateful for this moment of quiet and intimacy with her, But soon to realized that he was immediately fallen for her.
Meanwhile, The devil seethed with anger and frustration as he hid in the shadows, trying to plot a new plan to use Aina as bait and lured Anzai into a trap. "Soon Anzai, your human mate will be stained by my hands." He chuckles darkly, disappearing into the night.
As the morning light streamed through the windows, Anzai stirred, looking down at Aina, still asleep in his arms, and smiled. His slender, pale fingers gently brushed a strand of her hair, not wanting to wake her up just yet. As he carefully slid out from under her, he tucked a pillow beneath her head and covered her with a blanket, making sure she was comfortable.
Anzai stood up and stretched, feeling a bit stiff. Heading to the kitchen, he poured himself a cup of water. His mind drifted back to yesterday, remembering when the devil kidnapped Aina and almost killed her. He clenched his fists, his jaw tightening at the memory. The feeling made him shudder with terror and desperation when he tried to save her. The thought of losing her was unbearable, the scene kept replaying in his mind like a broken record.
Anzai felt a lump form in his throat as his thoughts switched to the kiss they shared. He could still feel the warmth of her lips on his cold ones. Despite everything that had happened, that moment of intimacy had given him hope about how much he cared for her. His heart skipped a beat as he remembered her confessing her feelings to him. "I like you." Those three words had been music to his ears, filling him with a sense of joy and hope.
He couldn't even deny the feelings growing inside him, knowing that he had fallen hard for her.
At the couch, Aina started dreaming. She was standing in the clear blue sky as the clouds slowly passed by her. Hearing Anzai's voice calling out to her, echoing in the distance, she looked around. She immediately saw him standing in front of her, smiling warmly and lending her his hand. Aina slowly reached out to touch it, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort wash over her.
As their fingers intertwined, Anzai pulled Aina close to him, wrapping his arms around her body in a warm embrace tightly as if he never wanted to let her go.
Aina suddenly woke up from her dream, clenching the back of Anzai's shirt as he glanced at her. He was sitting on the floor while reading a book. He gently pried her fingers off the fabric and took her hand in his. "Hey," he said softly. "You're awake." He gently squeezed her hand, smiling warmly at her. Realizing that she wasn't dreaming, "I'm real. You might've had a good dream." He stroked her cheek as their eyes locked on each other's gaze. "I was dreaming about you," Aina said shyly, noticing her blush spreading across her cheeks.
Raising an eyebrow, a sly smile played on his lips. "Oh? What was I doing in your dream?" he asked, chuckling at her shyness. Aina tried to hide her embarrassment, making it endearing for Anzai to tease her. "Come on, you can tell me," he said, poking her cheek. Aina took a deep breath before speaking. "You were calling out to me," she said barely above a whisper.
Anzai's expression softened as he smiled tenderly. "Calling out to you, huh? What did I say to you?" He asked. "You were calling my name when I heard your voice. I went to look for you, and you were there," she said, blushing from shyness as she described her dream. Anzai's heart was filled with warmth and affection. Pulling her into an embrace, "Sounds like a beautiful dream. I'm glad I was there for you, Aina." He said as she returned the hug, her body pressed against him, her hands on his back. Burying his face in her black hair, he inhaled her scent, wanting her to feel safe and loved around him until she pulls away slightly, looking at her with concern.
Aina nervously swallowed, wanting to say something. She gathered up her courage and stared back at his red eyes. "Anzai..I.." Her sentence was cut off as they heard banging noises from outside.
