Chapter 19: Daily Life of a Restaurant Owner

- Silas -

I came out of the bath with Lavy, feeling my stress gone.

We changed and spent some time watching TV when the rest of the girls came too.

They have been spending most of their time teaching the Oni who are going to live in my world about the basic knowledge of this world as well as a backstory which everyone had to follow here.

Sometimes Cid's friends joined them too.

Yuri had been thinking of hiring some of them for the Manga Company and I agreed. I had no idea about how to run a company so it's better not to poke my nose where it doesn't belong.

Rimuru was also naming the ogres one by one so that was also taking time.

He was in the process of creating a ritual to name them using the magicules in the atmosphere to reduce the load on himself and then he would start naming the Orcs.

Sakura, Shuna, Yuri and Narberal arrived first, the last two bowing when they saw me.

I had repeatedly told them not to be so formal but they just couldn't help themselves.

Shuna and Sakura went ahead to get changed.

Just at that time, Orihime also arrived.

With her was another girl.

She had short black hair and brown eyes, dressed in a hoodie and jeans, she looked around the place. Her looks were giving off massive tomboy vibes.

Wait, wasn't she the girl whom I had saved back with Orihime that day?

"Umm… this…" Orihime looked flustered at the girl's behaviour.

"Is she your friend, Orihime?" I asked, looking at the girl who was inspecting the place closely, as if trying to find something here.

"Umm, yes. Her name is Tatsuki. She is my classmate and best friend. She… she wanted to see the place I was living at… and I…"

"Oh, well you can bring over your friends if you want. This place is your home after all. Just inform Shuna in advance. She is sharing a room with you so she should know such things in advance."

"Ah yes. I will let Shuna-chan know."

"Good." I nodded and then looked at the girl. "Hello. My name is Silas Evans. I am the owner of the Restaurant and Orihime's boss."

"This is your restaurant?" She looked at me and asked.

"Yes? Is that a problem?"

"No. You look quite young."

"Ahahahaha I get that a lot." In fact, I got that even more. Now, after my evolution into an Archdaemon, I looked like I was in my twenties despite being just eighteen.

She then looked at Yuri and Narberal and narrowed her eyes. "What's with that Maid's cosplay? What kind of restaurant is this? Are you running some kind of shady business here?"

I quickly stopped the two maids with a hidden hand gesture when I sensed Narberal was about to say something.

These girls didn't hold back, especially Narberal. Her words could kill a normal person and make angels bleed from their ears.

"Tatsuki-chan!" Orihime quickly tried to stop here while my eyes twitched at her question.

"Are you perhaps related to that carrot head guy… what was his name again, Ichigo? He asked the same thing." I asked with a twitch of my lips.

"Hmph, that moron at least has some sense."

"Well, he is a hot head but, I wouldn't go that far to call him senseless." Just a bit lacking in terms of sense. "But to answer your question, this is the uniform for the waitresses here. As for what kind of Restaurant it is, it's a simple Restaurant where people come to eat and get together with each other. Sorry to disappoint you but there is no shady business as you call it, here. Your friend can attest to that. And if you are not satisfied with it, then you can come and visit the place yourself during work hours."

"Hmph, I will do just that."

"Then please do. I would serve you the chef's recommendation, on the house." I smiled.

As I was talking, Shuna and the rest of the girls came out too. I noticed that Shuna's horns were hidden under an illusion.

Did she do that to prevent Orihime from having to explain everything?

"Ori-chan, you are back. Did you have fun?" Lavy asked with a smile.

"Ah yes."

"Is she your friend?"

"Yes, her name is Tatsuki Arisawa."

"Tatsuki-chan. Thank you for coming to drop Ori-chan off. Come, have a seat. We were just about to have dinner. Would you like to join us?"

Apparently, the tomboy was good at attack but not at defence and was taken in surprise by Lavy's friendliness.

"Yes, please join us. Silas-sama's cooking is the best in the world." Shuna asked too, making the girl look at her. "My name is Shuna. I am Orihime's new roommate."

The girl bowed politely.

"Umm, I will have to pass for today. I already had something to eat. I was… not well and when I came back from the hospital I learned that Orihime had shifted her home. I just wanted to check on Orihime's new home. That's all."

Hmm. Urahara did tell me that she was sent to the hospital for a few days the last time he had come.

"Tatsuki-chan is a very good friend. Don't worry. Ori-chan is now a member of our Restaurant. She will have no problems here. You can come and visit anytime you want."

"I… I see. Who are you by the way?" She couldn't help but ask. "I think I have seen both you and him somewhere but… I can't remember exactly where." She asked, confused.

"Umm, Tatsuki-chan… it was Lavy-san and Silas-san who saved us that day." Orihime, finally couldn't take it said.

"Wait what? Didn't Ichigo carry me to the clinic?" She suddenly asked, doing a takeback.

"He did… he came after that."

The girl looked stunned at the news and turned towards us and bowed deeply. "I am sorry for my behaviour and… thank you for saving us that day."

…well, would you look at that?

Perhaps there was hope after all.

"It's no problem. Lavy and I were just in that area and lent a hand." Since she apologized, I wasn't petty either.

She talked to Orihime and the girls for a few minutes and they told her about the living arrangements here, after which she took her leave for the night.

It looks like she was genuinely worried about her friend.

"Umm, Tatsuki-chan didn't mean anything bad." Orihime said, trying to explain.

"I know. Don't worry, I didn't take it to heart. She was genuinely worried about her friend and even apologized for her behaviour later on. I can appreciate that. Taking a stand for people you care for… isn't bad."

She calmed down from my words and nodded.

Orihime was a good girl too.

The girl was quite diligent. Today was her day off at work and she had gone to her friend's home because she had returned from the hospital.

She bowed to us slightly and I nodded in return.

"Go on, get freshened up. I am setting the table." I instructed and she nodded before rushing back to her room.

She was currently staying in Shuna's room… which meant she was basically staying alone in the room as Shuna slept in my room most of the time.

"So, how was your day?" I asked the rest as Lavy and I set the table for them. The two maids lent a hand too.

"Very good. The children of Tempest are very excited to learn. Even the older generation were happy to learn about new worlds." Shuna explained happily.

I hesitated a bit before asking. "Are… well, does anyone have any problems with coming to this world? I mean, they have stayed there for their whole life and I am asking them to move…"

"No!" Shuna quickly replied. "In fact, they are all very excited. And, it's not like we are that far from Tempest. It's just a walk through the Restaurant's door.

"Well… I guess they are right about that."

"Please don't worry about them, Silas-sama. The Oni are all very loyal. In fact, every member of Tempest has impeccable loyalty." Yuri said, straightening her glasses.

Beside her Narberal nodded too.

Well, if even these two are saying that, then it must be true.

By then Sakura and Orihime also came down and joined us.

"How about you Ori-chan? How was your day?" Lavy asked the girl.

"My day? Oh… yes. It was great. I went out with Tatsuki-chan and met some of our friends. We had a lot of fun. Then we went back to Tatsuki-chan's home and did homework and then she came to drop me off and see the place..."

"This is now your home, Orihime. You can invite your friends over if you want."

"Umm, thank you." She nodded, shyly.

The girl was very chirpy normally but also extremely polite.

She was like Lavy… with a normal sense of privacy. Yes… that was it.

"Just no bringing boys to stay over for the night…" I joked.

"Eh… ah… no no, I…"

I finally couldn't take it and laughed at the girls' flustered appearance.

The rest just smiled while Sakura consoled the girl.

"By the way, how was your day, Silas-san? You looked quite stressed today?" Shuna asked.

I couldn't help but remember the scene from the bath at the mention of the word stressed for a moment but quickly shook the thought off as I remembered what exactly had happened today.

"Silas-san… did something happen?" Sakura asked.

The rest were also looking at me quietly.

"Am I that easy to read?" I asked with a sigh…

"I think it's a good quality of yours." Shuna said softly.

"Hmm, you are not afraid to show your true emotions. As should be expected…" Yuri said. I think she wanted to continue but stopped there so I didn't ask either.

"So, what happened?"

I let out a smile at their words and explained about the situation.

"Those people… they were…" I clenched my hand at the reminder of the old man's words. "They called him a jinchuriki… a human sacrifice… a sacrifice… How could…"

I took a deep breath and calmed myself down. No need to think about that anymore. The more I thought about it the angrier I got.

Beside me, Lavy put a hand on my thigh reassuringly.

I looked up and saw her smiling sadly at me. Every girl had a different reaction.

Lavy was sad. Shuna was serious. Sakura was quiet, looking down with that same vacant look in her eyes which I hadn't seen for a long time. Orihime, well she looked shocked. As for the last two… Yuri and Narberal were angry. They looked incensed at the news.

"You all did nothing wrong, Sil-kun. We already knew they were not good people when Hayato-san took Naruto-kun in. Now you just got to see it with your own eyes. It's because of you all that Naruto-kun is in a better place now."

"Thank you."

"They raised their hands against your subordinates. Those bugs got what they deserved. Please don't shower them with your kindness, Silas-sama." Narberal said, the anger and condescension in her voice apparent for anyone to see.

"Indeed. They don't seem to be the kind of people who deserve your mercy."

I forcefully stopped my lips from twitching.

After eating, the two maids left for Nazarick.

Orihime went back to her room. She had a class tomorrow.

Lavy and Shuna were doing the dishes which left Sakura and me back in the room.

"Are you okay, Sakura?" I asked, noticing that she had been quiet since that time.

"Hmm… it's nothing." She shook her head, although her voice sounded empty as before.

Suddenly I remembered her own situation… It wasn't much different from Naruto's.

Dammit… I shouldn't have said that.

I hugged her lightly, making her look up at me.

"Don't worry. I won't let anything like that happen again."

Her eyes widened slightly on realising what I was saying but she calmed down again and nodded, returning my hug

"Umm. I know."

We stayed like that until the other two girls came out.

"Eh, I want a hug too."... and we were both jumped upon by Lavy…

Surprisingly, this brought a smile to Sakura's face again.

I looked at Shuna who was shaking her head, used to Lavy's antics by now and pulled her into the group hug.

We left for our rooms after that.

Today Lavy decided to stay with Sakura.

The girl could somehow sense Sakura was feeling down today.

This also meant that… Shuna and I were left alone.

I looked at Shuna and she blushed at my gaze but followed me back to the room without a word.

I closed the door behind me and saw Shuna's blush go nuclear.

"Should I leave the door open?…"

"No… it's… fine." She replied softly, making me smile.

I really enjoyed these moments.

I pulled her in a hug, making her yelp at the sudden move.

I leaned in and kissed her cheek. "Is this fine too?"

"Ah… "

I held her chin and lifted her head as she stared in my eyes before closing her eyes and leaning in.

I didn't disappoint and our lips met.

Her lips tasted like cherries.

The kiss was a normal soft one.

I didn't push her further.

Shuna was different from Lavy and I didn't want to push her beyond what she was comfortable with.

x_

I woke up the next day to the view of pink hair and the feeling of soft breathing on my chest. Shuna was breathing peacefully.

She looked almost exquisite. The soft pink hair smelled like cherry blossoms, the shampoo she used. They framed her face perfectly. Even the two white horns only enhanced her beauty instead of looking out of place.

She looked almost like a fairy of some kind… which wouldn't be wrong either.

In Japan as well as many parts of the world, Oni are considered spirits or even Land Gods by the people.

There are stories of both destructive as well as benevolent Oni and from what I know now, they actually exist.

She had grown quite close to me in the last two weeks.

Say whatever about Lavy but she was the best wingwoman a man can ask for.

Still, it wouldn't have worked if not for Shuna actually wanting this.

It was early morning and I needed to do my regular morning exercise so I lightly kissed her head and got up.

I had to start preparing everything for tomorrow's party.

x_

I cleaned my knife while Sakura-chan served the order to the guests.

Magic was really convenient for cleaning but I preferred taking care of my knives by myself. For other things, magic was fine. Although not everyone in the Restaurant liked using magic for cleaning. In fact, other than me, everyone else preferred cleaning with their hands.

Sakura, Lavy, even Shuna and Tohru, of all people liked doing the chores with their own hands. They enjoyed it so even I didn't have any complaints.

I guess it gave them a feeling of normalcy, a life away from their chaotic supernatural life which they had been living all this time and they wanted to enjoy this feeling more.

After completing my work, I came out of the kitchen and sat with the other guests.

Ikki had come to visit with Yoruichi who was currently enjoying fried fish with vigour.

All her bills went on Kisuke's tab… something which the man had been forced to agree to with tears in his eyes.

"You guys are coming to tomorrow's party, right?" I asked Ikki as he finished eating.

"Party? Oh, the party. Yes. Kisuke-san was talking about that. I didn't know the details though. Is it tomorrow?"

"Hmm. Be sure to come."

"Thank you. I will be there." He replied, happily.

Ikki was a great guy.

"So, how is your training going?"

"I am practicing the movement techniques and spiritual techniques to refine my control over my Spiritual Power. I can feel my power increase with every session." He explained happily. He was really in a great mood after that training. "I think the food from the Restaurant helps too."

"Umm, it does. Although only slightly almost like a drop, at a time, I can feel my power increase every time I eat something." Yoruichi added. "If I had this kind of food from the start, I could probably match Old Man Yama by now."

"Old Man Yama?" Yama as in the God of Death?

Then again, they were Shinigami so maybe they even had their own version of Yama in that world.

"Hmm, you could take him as the boss of the Shinigami." Was all the cat said before concentrating back on the milk.

"I see." I nodded and then looked at Ikki. "I guess your training was fruitful then?"

"Very. I am very thankful for this opportunity."

"All you need to do now is keep on fighting. Only in pressure can you grow. Fighting with Ichigo can only give you so much gain."

"The carrot head?" I asked. "Hmm, yeah… he did seem a bit weak." I nodded.

Yoruichi stopped and looked at me with an almost human-like deadpan…

"W-what?" I asked, defensively.

"It's not that he is weak, it's just you who is too strong." The cat deadpanned. "In fact, while the kid might not have control or even skill, he has the raw power in spades. He just needs to know how to control it."

"Eh, really?" He didn't look like it though.

"Yes, Ichigo-kun is rough around the edges but his power… that kind of power could easily get him the Rank of an A Class Blazer." Ikki replied…

I didn't understand what A Class meant or how strong they were but I understood that Ikki was F Rank so they must be far stronger than Ikki… or at least the former Ikki. After all, Ikki had grown from his training too.

"Well, if you want to fight then you can try asking some of the other customers. Cid-ku… I mean, Shadow-kun also got a device of his own. You can ask him for a spar if you want. He is very good at swordsmanship."

"Really! Would he agree?"

"Well, he is a very good guy. I don't see him disagreeing. You just have to…" I explained to him about Cid's habit of roleplaying and he, while looking a bit awkward, agreed.

"Do you think Cid-sa… I mean Shadow-san will accept that?"

"You can try to ask." I shrugged.

He nodded and finished his food and decided to wait for Cid's arrival.

Suddenly remembering the girl from last night I told Yoruichi about her and she said she will manage that.

Tatsuki didn't know about the Supernatural. Her world was quite similar to mine in a way that normal people were not exactly aware of the supernatural. The Shinigami went full MiB there too, although for them it was easier as normal people couldn't even see them or hollows.

In the meantime, more guests came in too so I went to prepare their orders too.

Tohru with Lucoa-san and Fafnir were the first.

Fafnir went directly to the room where Saitama was sitting with Ainz and I found my lips twitching.

Was my Restaurant turning into a Game Parlour?

Then again, Fafnir was a lost cause.

He had fallen so hard right after the first day of gaming that he hadn't done anything other than play games since then.

Tohru still looked a bit guilty about yesterday.

"Umm, boss… about yesterday…"

"It wasn't your fault, Tohru." I stopped her before she could say anything.

"Eh?"

"You did the right thing. In fact, I don't know if I could have held back as much as you did in that case. You didn't attack them unless they attacked you first, even after their insults. I am proud of you for holding back." I patted her head.

To some extent, I wasn't lying.

I had been extremely angry when those bastards had called him a 'human sacrifice' and might have punched that old man in the face if not for Rimuru. Tohru, she held back. In a way, she had done a lot better than me.

"Thank you, boss. I knew you would understand me." Her face lit up at the words.

"Alright, alright, now get to work. We have a crowd forming in the Restaurant."

"Yes Boss!"

Lavy had taken Yuri and Narberal with her to make ids for several people. Tanya was getting the paperwork ready. Orihime was off to school. She only works during evenings. And finally, Sakura and Shuna were teaching the Oni who would come to live in my world. So right now only Tohru was left to serve the customers here.

I began to cook and Tohru served the customers.

A while later, another group I hadn't seen for a while entered the Restaurant.

"Yo Silas-kun, how are you doing?" Gojo-sensei asked in his usual upbeat tone as soon as he entered.

"Gojo-sensei. Please have a seat." I smiled at them. "Yuji, Megumi and Kugisaki-san."

The trio nodded at me too.

I saw Tohru throwing a glare at Yuji, making the guy bow his head in fear. I coughed slightly and she went off to her work and the guy finally relaxed.

"Sakura-chan isn't here?" He asked, looking around.

"She is out for some work. Is something the matter?"

"Nah, nothing urgent. The dates for your Jujutsu Sorcerer exams have been decided. It will be held in a month. We have several new promotions in line due to the recent events and each of them takes some time. Anyways, Nanami will explain everything when he comes later. What about Naruto-kun?"

"Naruto… he is out. He might come later on."

"Is something the matter with Naruto?" Gojo-sensei asked.

Dammit… are my thoughts written on my face?

"No. I can just read minds." He smiled, raising his eyeband.

"Now you are just messing with me."

"Hahahaha yeah, I am. Your expressions are just very easy to read. That is all."

Sigh…

I told them about Naruto's case.

"Your guess was probably right. They called him a weapon… a human sacrifice, a property of the village… Sure not everyone was like that. Many didn't even know he was the son of their previous leader. The bastard was keeping his identity a secret but had spread that he carried the fox… to supposedly make him a hero." I told Gojo-sensei, shaking my head. "As if the hero of the people is called a sacrifice."

"Hah… no matter the world, there are always decrepit old fools who cling desperately to power." He sighed.

"Did you go and punch those bastards?" Kugisaki asked. "If not then we can go and do that, can't we sensei?"

"I don't think that will be necessary. Tohru and Milim… they did more than enough. I warned them before leaving. I don't think they will do anything else."

"Oh? What did they do?" Gojo-sensei asked, curiously.

"Blasted a mountain sized trench across the country all the way to the ocean."

Yuji spat his drink on hearing this, drenching Megumi. The boy on the other hand was too stunned to say anything.

Even Gojo-sensei was stunned beyond words.

"Hold up… I don't think I understood that clearly." He asked again so I went on to explain everything, from their actions to me freezing the tsunami and Lucoa fixing everything later.

"Moon? She tore apart the moon?" Kugisaki looked like she was going to have a panic attack.

Yeah.

I was far stronger than her and yet I was shaken by that scene, let alone her.

"Well, she was a real life Goddess after all."

As we were discussing, the gate to the Restaurant opened and a familiar and yet unexpected face showed up again.

"Shop owner-san? How are you? Working right after such a huge event, you are truly youthful." The man in green said.

"Oi, who the fuck is he? A curse of some kind?" Kugisaki whispered.

"And what kind of curse would he be?" Megumi asked with a deadpan.

"I don't know, a curse of bad eyebrows, horrible fashion sense… who knows?"

While they were bantering, I looked at him.

He truly didn't look like he was aware of anything.

As he was coming towards me, he crashed slightly with Lucoa-san who had just come out but he didn't show any reaction. In fact, he picked up her handkerchief from the floor and offered it back to her with a smile while apologising for not looking where he was going.

…there was no way anyone from that place could do that with a straight face after what they had seen last night.

"Guy-san. I haven't seen you for a few days." I asked with a smile.

"Ah, yes. I have been out on a mission. I just returned this morning after hearing about what happened in the village. I have been busy with the reconstruction and now have to leave for another mission. I saw the shop was safe and open so I thought I should get a bite to eat to ignite my youth!"

He suddenly stopped when he reached me and looked at Gojo-sensei.

"Kakashi, my eternal rival. What are you doing here?"

…huh?

"And your band is on both your eyes now? Is it some kind of training for honing your senses? Truly, your flames of youth know no bounds. Alright, I will tie a band around my eyes as I do my daily work too. If I can't do that, I will run five thousand laps around the village and if I can't do that, I will do twelve thousand pushups."

"You still think he is human?" Kugisaki whispered to Megumi and this time even I doubted if he was a human.

I mean I had seen a frogman in that world so who knows if there were other races there too? It didn't look out of place for there to be someone like him.

"These are my students." Gojo-sensei pointed towards the three who were looking blankly at the situation.

"Students? You took on a Genin Team, Kakashi? How youthful of you? Yosh, it's decided. I will take on a team of my own and then we can compete on who trains their team better!"

Gojo-sensei looked at him quietly for a while… and then smiled widely.

I suddenly had a bad feeling about it.

"Yosh. Your feelings of… youth are indeed admirable, my friend. Then when we meet again, let's race across the village with our legs tied and balancing cabbages on our heads. The loser gives the winner a piggyback ride across the village."

The fuck are you saying?

Do you even know what you're talking about?

I looked at Guy and… was he crying?

"You finally understand me, Kakashi, my eternal rival. Yosh, for that alone. I challenge you to a duel. Rock-Papers-Scissors. Loser pays for the food."

"Got it."

And they started playing too.

Meanwhile, we looked at the two strangely.

Thankfully, it looked like the other three were as confused as me.

Guy and Gojo-sensei ate their meal and played for an hour before he suddenly remembered that he had to go out on a mission and left.

He even paid for Gojo-sensei's bill.

"Do you know what happened?"

"Nope… no clue at all. Are you sure that guy wasn't a Curse or a crazy Cursed User?"

I shook my head as if to shake off the madness I had just witnessed.

"A-anyways, there is a party in the Restaurant tomorrow. Many of my guests will be coming. You guys are invited as well. Oh, please help me invite the others too. Nanami-sensei, Shoko-san as well as the rest of the students."

"Ohh, a party. Great, we will be there."

We talked about a few more things before they left too.

Those three also had to prepare for the exams.

After they left, Rimuru came to the Restaurant with Milim.

"Sil, I need a dragon cherry cake." Milim ordered as soon as she entered.

"Some ramen for me." Rimuru replied, tired. He has been busy with the naming thing recently and always looks tired.

I nodded. "Alright."

They went to the private rooms, joining Fafnir in his gaming escapades.

Milim was one of the prominent gamers of the Restaurant by now.

Soon after, Cid-kun arrived too and I asked him about Ikki's request.

The guy was pretending to the end. Sure enough, right after he went out, Shadow entered and went ahead to talk with Ikki.

I shook my head at the guy's behaviour.

They left to Kisuke's world for their spar.

- Yoruichi -

She looked at the guy in the hood with a bored expression.

The shop owner said he was apparently very good at swordsmanship and could help Ikki hone his skills.

Although she doubted the shop owner knew much about swordsmanship himself. He was more of a knife person. There was no denying that he knew quite a lot about the different talents in the Restaurant.

She had been going to the Restaurant often to get a read on the people there, to assess if there was any danger from them.

Kisuke might behave like a fool but he was the most cautious person she knew of. He had been assessing the Restaurant for a while too and he only invited someone from other worlds after he was sure he could handle things.

To be honest, she thought that his curiosity played a big part in it.

Even then, he made sure to keep an eye on them at all times.

If she wasn't wrong then putting Orihime there was so that they could get some information from her at times.

The girl was quite simple minded and they could make her slip about some things which the other side might be hiding.

Although, as far as she had seen, the shop owner Silas didn't seem to be that kind of person. In fact, most of his staff were the same.

In fact, most of the people she had seen in the Restaurant were eccentric at best.

They soon reached the shop and Tessai met them at the door.

Ikki bowed politely.

"We need the training room."

"Go on. Kisuke is down there."

They entered the place and the boy in the black hood followed them and looked around.

"Yoruichi and… Shadow-kun." Kisuke greeted them and looked at her oddly.

"He is here to spar with Ikki."

"I see. Give me some time, let me get things ready then."

Kisuke prepared monitoring devices, no doubt wanting to record and assess the battle later on.

Kisuke removed Ikki's soul from his body. The boy, Shadow, looked at the whole thing with interest but didn't say anything.

"Alright. I am ready. You two can start."

The two boys took positions.

"Come Intetsu." Ikki summoned his device.

The other guy, Shadow raised his hands as two… were those crowbars? Appeared in his hands too.

"Ready… fight."

Ikki flashed from his position and slashed down but was effortlessly blocked by Shadow's crowbars.

Clashes followed one after another.

She had seen Ikki fighting and his swordsmanship and control were almost flawless. In fact, from what she knew, he had honed these two aspects to their highest degree to make up for his low magic reserves.

But now… in front of Shadow, his swordsmanship did nothing.

On observing closer, she found that Shadow was not using some fancy or complicated swordsmanship style either.

His style was basic.

In fact, his style was as basic as it came. It was the degree and proficiency in which he used that simple style that was scary.

The degree of control he had over his moves and power was like a more advanced version of Ikki's.

They clashed once more, the ground rupturing at the place of their clash before they separated and took a distance.

"It's amazing, Shadow-san. I have never fought someone like you." Ikki spoke with a smile.

"Your swordsmanship is… adequate. However, enough playing around. Let's take this to the next level."

Ikki nodded

And they moved again.

This time after they clashed, something strange happened.

Shadow casually moved back and walked around Ikki.

Ikki looked as if he couldn't even see him and looked around strangely.

Shadow got behind him and slashed down but Ikki, having sensed his attack, hurriedly turned back and clashed with him, this time at an advantage due to the difference in balance.

One more thing she had noticed was that all this time, Shadow had been using the exact same power level as Ikki.

This boy… he wasn't winning this with power.

He was toying around.

Once more, after the clash he walked around Ikki while Ikki looked around haplessly to find him.

"What is going on?" Kisuke asked looking confused and even she was confused when it happened a few more times before she realised the trick.

He was using the moment Ikki blinked to move away and completely erase his presence… no, he was manipulating his presence to give Ikki an illusion about his current position.

It wasn't his use of magic… it was his control over his entire being.

Such a scary guy…

That said, he wasn't exactly trying to harm Ikki but allowing him to get used to it.

Another clash later, Ikki was sent crashing into the ground.

Shadow stood in the distance and watched.

Ikki got up again, his breathing laboured but there was a smile on his face.

"That is amazing, Shadow-san. Right now, I don't stand any chance against you… but I will not disappoint you. You have shown me such a technique so let me show you my own." He held his sword in front of him.

"Go on. Give me your all." Shadow replied, spinning his crowbars around him. But she noticed that there was a smile on his face too.

Ikki nodded.

"I will use my weakness to go against your strongest, Ittou Shura!" His power jumped high, from a double digit seated officer to that of a Lieutenant in that moment.

"Yes… this is interesting. Come, come at me with all your might."

He kicked the ground and rushed forward, swinging his sword down.

Shadow crossed his crowbars and accepted the attack, the shockwaves generated from the attack destroying the nearby rocks.

"Hmm, he is pushing his body to ignore the limiter of a human's body, using all his power in a short span of time. At this rate, he won't last long but in the short period of time, it does give him power far beyond his current level. What an interesting technique." Kisuke commented from the side.

"Did he develop this due to his lack of raw power? I can see why someone with such control over his body can do so."

"Indeed. This is exactly what he said… using his weakness to defeat the opponent's strongest, Ittou Shura. One blade demon."

The clashes continued.

Wherever they went, the rocks and ground were torn into pieces, the whole field changing in their wake and yet, even with all this power, Shadow didn't look even slightly phased.

Finally, Ikki's technique faded and he fell to his knees, gasping for breath.

"Wonderful. You have potential. In this short time, you were able to adapt to my moves. I look forward to your growth." Shadow praised in a grand tone.

Yoruichi's lips twitched at his tone.

Wasn't this guy even younger than Ikki?

Who was he kidding?

That said, she noticed that his Spiritual Power had grown in that battle. It was working much faster than before.

If he could fight like this for a few months, he might very well reach a Vice Captain level. So there was no lie in his words either.

"You are not even fazed after such a fight. You are really strong, Shadow-san. I look forward to fighting you in the future."

"Then I will be waiting. Be warned though, I am not a mountain which can be crossed by just anyone. I am the sky… the higher you reach, the more you understand your own insignificance. Are you sure you can keep this faith of yours in such a situation and still hope to catch up to me?"

Ikki clenched his fist. "I can't say if I can catch up with you but please rest assured… I will never give up."

"Very well then."

Just as they were having their shounen manga speeches, she felt several dozen signals of hollows.

She looked at Kisuke and he nodded.

"Looks like the time for sparring is up. There is an emergency outside."

"Can you fight, Kurogane-kun?" Kisuke asked.

"I… I will try my best."

"Great, then let's check what's going outside."

The scene outside was more problematic than she had expected.

"What is going on here, Tessai?"

"It seems that the Quincy kid has used bait for hollows. He seems to want to compete with Kurosaki-kun on who can hunt more."

Sigh… troublesome kids.

In the distance, she sensed Ichigo running around, trying to hunt as many hollows as possible. On the other side, the Quincy kid was shooting down hollows from a distance.

"What are you waiting for, Kurogane-kun? We are on the battlefield. Go on, fight."

He nodded and dashed towards the nearest hollow but his speed and strength were drastically lower than what he would normally have, probably the side effect of using the technique.

She decided to keep a close look on him lest he had an accident.

The kid was keeping up relatively well but his exhaustion was showing. Three hollows later, he staggered but gritted his teeth and still rushed forward.

Another hollow appeared and was about to jump in. Yoruichi decided that this was enough and was about to jump in when a flash of light passed by her and the hollow was cleaved in two.

In front of Ikki stood Shadow, his crowbar in his hand.

He turned over his shoulder and looked at her.

Yoruichi had lived far too long to not realise what that look meant.

"Oh, it's on."

And it was indeed on.

That day, something interesting could be seen in Karakura town… at least for the ones who could see it.

One cat and one human flashing all over the town as hollows disappeared the moment they came out.

- Yuri Alpha -

"And that's the last document. With this, we can officially launch the company." Tanya-chan looked over the document and said with satisfaction.

The girl had incredible work ethics. She could see why even Gods would be jealous of her talent and work ethics and kidnap her against her will.

Such a talent… the only place such a person deserved was under a Supreme Being.

"Thank you, Tanya. You can take a break for today. We will take care of the rest."

"Alright. See you guys tomorrow. Good Night."

"Very good night to you too."

Tanya left and they looked at the papers.

They had just bought a building near the Restaurant to start their publishing house. The funds Silas-sama had provided them was more than enough to buy a large area in a small town like this. It was just the process of talking to the current owners and buying a house which took time.

They had gone ahead and taken care of it. They couldn't allow a small thing like this stand in the way of the plans of the Supreme Beings.

While a normal manga company might not sound that big, Yuri had seen the effect of these manga and games. They could tame even powerful dragons like Fafnir and Milim-sama. Truly, they were not things to be underestimated.

If Silas-sama could control the whole Manga and Game Industry of this world, he would have a lot of influence in it.

Not all battles are fought with strength and Silas-sama has never been the kind to use brute force to conquer others.

Over time, Yuri had observed the Supreme Beings and their habits.

Each one of them had their own strengths and quirks.

For example, Rimuru-sama was a natural leader like others but he had a soft approach. It obviously worked as was evident from the hundreds of thousands of people living in the Jura Tempest Foundation.

He was very good at developing a kingdom, making people bow to him through his kindness alone.

Shadow-sama was different.

From her conversations with her counterpart, Alpha, she had found out that he had taught them everything they knew and then left them with clues to make a place in the world.

He had a hands off approach towards things and it was working well for him too.

Ainz-sama had a similar personality although he was tougher in his approach.

Saitama-sama… well, he was too mysterious. Even after observing him for so long, she had no idea what he was thinking. But then again, it only showed that he was a master in hiding his thoughts and abilities.

Truly, she had a lot to learn.

Lastly, Silas-sama was just like Ainz-sama had told them, a person who had dedicated everything to the Restaurant, to make a place where his comrades could return to. The only times he made any moves was if his friends or loved ones were involved.

It was admirable and they had been moved to tears at such dedication. This also made her understand why the rest of the Supreme Beings were so caring about him and sent people to look out for him.

And it was exactly why they had to work harder than anyone else.

They couldn't let him fall behind.

They had to work extra hard to compensate for the effort he was putting in the Restaurant.

For the honour of the Supreme Beings.

They were acquiring several pieces of land around the Restaurant to further expand the business as well as make a cover for the Restaurant.

Currently she and Naberal from Pleiades and Beta, Gamma and Eta from the Shadow Garden sent by Cid-sama were present.

Beta was good at Logistics. Gamma had exceptional talent in business and trade. Eta was a very good inventor.

They were sent by Alpha to help with setting up the Crossroads Publications and then slowly expand towards other industries in this world.

Yuri appreciated their effort as these things weren't exactly her area of expertise.

"Great. Now we need to acquire the equipment and furnish the company. We can test the applicants later on and see who is suitable for which task and hire accordingly."

She brought out a list and passed out the copies to everyone present.

"This is our proposal for the plan to establish Silas-sama's dominance over this world. It was made after taking his personality as well as wishes into view."

She let them read the list and then continued.

"Silas-sama is someone who values his privacy and peaceful life more than anything. So our first priority is to ensure that he gets that. First part of the plan is to bring this town under our rule. Miyama town is a neutral buffer zone between the territory of the Youkai of Kyoto and the Five Principal Clans of Onmyoji. Each of them are a respectable force of their own and are always at war against each other by virtue of their existence. Rimuru-sama and Silas-sama's plan is to bring the Oni here to establish this town as a stronghold as Oni are a type of Youkai in this world too."

The group nodded and she continued.

"First phase of the plan is to slowly establish our influence over this town. We wish to create that influence by establishing this town as an Entertainment Hub. The rest of the businesses will follow. While we do this, we will also acquire as much land as we can. Next step will be to bring the Oni." She finished and Narberal took over.

"The Oni are mostly frontline fighters with only a few with other professions such as Blacksmithing or Espionage. They need specialised training to carry out their roles in this world."

She had seen the Oni and while very fearsome on the frontline, so much so that only a few of them could change the tide of a battlefield, their skills were quite focused on frontline combat alone.

Yuri knew that every organisation needed a variety of talents.

"We can take care of this. Shadow Garden specialises in this." Beta said, enthusiastically. "I will ask Alpha to send over our Drill Instructor Lambda and the Head of Espionage, Epsilon to take over their training."

"In fact, we can also train individuals in business and management skills. That will just take some time. I will have to study the business and structure of this world and then prepare a detailed plan. Right now, I am very busy with the plans of the Mitsugoshi Company but I can send my assistants Mu and Nu to collect information." Gamma added.

She nodded before bringing out the reports prepared by Tanya and passed them over to Gamma. "Right now Tanya is head of Business here. You can discuss anything you want with her. She might be able to provide you with the information you need."

"Hmm, Tanya-chan is indeed very talented."

"Lastly will be the materials to sell. This world is more advanced than our two worlds in terms of technology but we have an advantage they don't. Thanks to Silas-sama, we have access to endless worlds. Even normal things from the more advanced worlds can be ground breaking items in this world. Obviously we cannot disclose our hands early on or it would invite scrutiny or even attack from the more greedy individuals so we can only start small. This is why the Supreme Beings have decided to start with Manga and Games, something completely harmless on the surface but with great potential."

Gamma nodded. "We need to make a list of manga in all the worlds connected to this one and introduce the ones which this world lacks and then select the appropriate ones to maximize profits. Beta excels in these things."

The girl in question nodded. "I have an alternate identity as a novelist in my world."

"Then we will count on your expertise."

"We can take care of buying land in the town and preparing for the arrival of the Oni." Yuri added.

With the work divided, they discussed the finer details of the plan.

It was finally decided that the Pleiades and the Shadow Garden will have a joint meeting after Silas-sama's party tomorrow.

She and Narberal had to leave early to help Silas-sama with the preparation for the party.

"For the Supreme Beings!" She raised a glass finally.

"For the Shadows!"

Author's Note:

I am back with another chapter of 'Isekai Restaurant'.

This chapter was a bit of a cooldown chapter after all the shit which has happened in the last three.

Guy meeting NotKakashi was something I had in mind for a while.

We got to see what the other people were doing and what the crazy subordinates were planning behind everyone.

Next chapter will be the party and then we will go towards other arcs.

I have several arcs in mind.

We will also see how things are going on the DxD side after this.

Enjoy the new chapter.

Good Day, Peace Out.
