Chapter 12:

I sat on my bed in deep, not aware of my surroundings. I zoned out of my own self-conscious state and I sat there, not wanting to move or put on the new main uniform I was given. I knew I couldn't sit here for too long. Sebastian would have come back in to make sure I was getting ready and could give me more work than I already need.

I put on the knee length uniform with strain and sauntered to the kitchen in hopes to get food to start the day off. I walked in seeing no other servant other than Sebastian.

"Sebastian-"

"You will start cleaning after you eat. Than I will train you on your combat skills. We didn't have an opportune moment yesterday, after all."

That irritating bastard.

He left without another word, taking the food he was preparing with him. It didn't take much thought to know that he was taking it to the young master.

I let out a small sigh and took an apple from the pantry. I took a small bite, leaving the kitchen to do my chores.

It took eight hours to fix everything the trio broke. The garden was destroyed from Finnian using the weed killer instead of the plant growth substance. Mey-rin had broken the expensive china and bit of the other silverware that the young master uses and Bard somehow managed to break the stove. I didn't know how to replace everything and Sebastian wouldn't help me whatsoever. I was stuck with confusion plaguing my mind the entire time. Speed helped my physical ability to perform tasks but it didn't help me think faster.

I sat at the island table in the kitchen with my head in my arms, tired from todays work. I lifted my head to check the clock to see it was 2:33 in the afternoon. My head flopped back in my arms as I groaned and the door opened behind me.

"Celesta do not forget you have your training today."

Stupid butler...

"I didn't forget! I'm just tired."

"Meet me in the back gardens in five minutes and please do not be late. There are many things that need tending to."

The door shut and I sat there, feeling my bones and muscle become lax. They didn't want to move and neither did I. I forced myself out of the chair and messily made my way to the gardens as per orders. I glared as the sun slapped me in the face after opening the door and covered my eyes to block it out. I began walking aimlessly until I walked into a hard surface.

"It seems you are still not completely awake. Shall I help in waking you?"

"No! I'm fine! My foot just fell asleep."

I straightened my back and stood with the best posture I could manage and looked at him.

" Now Celesta, you mentioned illusions during the first meeting with the young master, I would like to see this power."

"Alright. But if it doesn't work I'll try it on one of the other servants."

I couldn't think of anything to make him see. He wasn't a fantasy driven child so I didn't know what to do.

I thought of all the times that I had seen him since I met him and remembered the incident with Betty. Letting my mind think of my intended hallucination, I forced the vision of different cat breeds onto Sebastian and waited for his reaction. I noticed the same small blush from when he first met Betty and couldn't help but feel accomplished. Causing a demon to lose his composure was ver satisfying.

I soon stopped the illusion and looked to see Sebastian's face go from confusion, disappointment and the same blank face he wears when trying not to seem too emotional.

"I now see why the Baron Kelvin wanted you with him... How did you get a powerful demon such as myself to be tricked so easily?"

"Practice?"

Sebastian shook his head slightly, right hand resting against the bridge of his nose.

"I shall teach you how to properly wield a gun and a few more weapons. That will be all we do today."

I began walking to my room, in slight pain, until I remembered I had to talk to Sebastian. I turned the other direction in hope to finding his room. I found a room with a dense light and walked towards it. I knocked on the door and the person opening it was the person that I needed to see.

"Yes?" He asked.

"Sebastian I have a problem and I need your help..."

He made a gesture for me to come in and I did. I looked around the room for a quick second noticing that it was very similar to mine.

"Please sit on the on the bed."

I did as he said but couldn't get comfortable.

Maybe it's because he's a demon that I can't get comfortable...

"Sebastian... I'm confused..."

"And why is that?"

I couldn't figure out how to explain it to him. A problem that I had never had before was difficult to form into words.

"I guess this is it? My wings have been getting darker by the day and I don't know why. I was hoping you had an idea as to why..."

"This doesn't happen to often. The only time I have ever seen this is if an angel is fallen. And you are not an angel."

"Than what does it mean?"

"I have a speculation but I am not sure it is the right one. I will have to look into it further."

"Do I have a smell? Like, a creature type of smell..."

"You do but I can't seem to get one specific breed..."

Without another word Sebastian left the room with the door still wide open.

It took a while for Sebastian to get back. By the time he did I was already asleep.

Deciding that it was time to get ready for the once again I got up and went to my room to get the necessities for a shower. I got a clean uniform and headed to the shower. Once I got in the shower my head began hurting. It felt so painful to the point I started gripping my hair and yanking on it to make the pain stop.

As I gripped my hair, the image of what looked to be an angel appeared next to a figure that looked like a woman. They were both too blurry to see the faces let alone the bod shape of them. I was pushed back by the angel and I fell as I finally came back to reality. I felt the sting in my rear and couldn't get up for a few minutes.

"Celesta are you alright?"

Sebastian had heard me falling. It wasn't a surprise since he was a demon and his hearing was demonic.

"Yeah. I just slipped and fell on my rear that's it."

"Do you need help getting up?"

"No. Stop being perverted and get me my towel please."

He handed me a towel and I grabbed it from his hands as fast as I could. I stepped out of the bathroom only to bump into a firm chest.

"Sebastian."

"Yes?"

"What the hell are you still doing here?"

"You smell different."

"I just took a shower Sebastian. What do you think?"

I was shoved to the wall with my arms being pinned to my side. The towel around my chest was still tightly holding me as Sebastian began sniffing my person.

"Celesta let me see your wings."

"Well I can't seeing the current position I'm in."

He backed away from me just enough so I could have room. I brought out my wings and as soon as I did I felt a little dizzy. Though it lasted for a brief second.

"Your wings are black."

I rushed to the bathroom and face the mirror. I kept turning around to see different angles to make sure what I was seeing wasn't an illusion.

"Sebastian, what does this mean?"

"You could possibly be a hybrid."
