I am so sorry for updating after all this time. I've been really tired and with semester final exams I was worried I wouldn't be able to pass the semester. But then I got really tired and busy for the few months after can be mad at me if you want because I deserve it. On with the story. Revised on May 1, 2020
Chapter 13:
Shock was filling my veins as I stood there paralyzed.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"It is possible that your type of species are angel and chimera. Based off of your abilities I would say that much."
"Chimera? What is that?"
"A chimera is a cat type of animal that takes others powers or abilities. Though it is fairly obvious that you lack the resemblance of a cat or a serpent."
I was at a loss for words. I knew that angels, demons and grim reapers existed but I didn't think there would be more. But it made sense. Why would a specific breed of mythology exist and not any more?
I stormed away from the bathroom door and went to my room. I put the maid clothes on in a haste and began my way to the library. There wasn't much besides fairytales and kids books. There were also fiction books but none on the life of chimera's. I exhaled a heavy sigh began my way to where I assumed the horses were. I couldn't fly to London because of the sun still being up and I couldn't risk my safety by letting the civilians see me.
I stepped quickly over to the stables and saddled a brown horse with the closest saddle. I got on top and whipped the reins and began my trek to town.

As I trotted the streets in search for the library I received different stares. I looked ahead of me, not caring what they thought of me. It was in those moments when I found myself glad that I spent many years in a circus. The stares became normal after a while.
I soon found the library and tied the horse to a pole to make sure that it wouldn't run away. As quick as I left the manor I walked in the library and straight to the mythology section of the books. As I was walking, I couldn't help but notice the difference in decor from the interior and exterior. On the outside it looked dreary and run down but on the inside it looked well kept. After walking in one could see the librarian desk on the left and a little area farther off for reading. On the back walls there were books and a staircase leading to the children's section upstairs. I walked around looking for a book and then I found one. The title was Greek Mythological Creatures.
I opened the book and went to the c named creatures and found the creature I was looking for.
Chimeras are female creatures who breathe fire and take the form an animal with a lion's head, goat body, wings of the dragon and serpents tail. They have the power to breathe fire. It also exudes venom like that of a snake and has great strength.
Humans(genetically):
A human chimera can be found with two different type of blood cells. A human Chimera can have XY chromosomes and be considered one gender. In-vitro fertilisation is possible in the human Chimera.
...
Humans(mythology):
The Chimera was a fire-breathing monster of a hybrid consisting the serpent, lion and goat.
Chimera of Lycia was known as a fierce monster who terrorised Lycia. The kind asked Bellerophon to slay the beast in hopes that Bellerophon would end up killed. Bellerophon killed chimera from above and now Chimera of Lycia lives on as a part of the imagination of humans.
...
Chimera's skin turn darker or anything akin to skin. It is often found that chimera have two different colored eyes.
...
The known weakness of a chimera is ice. Since it breathes fire, the opposite destroys.
A chimera can change into a human form but it's natural physique if that of the lion, goat, serpent and dragon.
I closed the book and rubbed my head. A headache was forming and everything I read was processing in my mind too fast too soon. I had many questions that needed to be answered. I couldn't ask Sebastian because he seemed just as confused as me.
So that's what I am, I thought, that's what Sebastian meant when he thought I was a cat. Lion is a part of the cat family.
I placed the book back in its slot and walked away, wanting to leave the library as soon possible.
