(Disclaimer: I do not own Transformers; just Anwen and other OC's I've scattered within the story...like confetti or shredded cheese (don't judge) LOL)
(Authors Note: Hello dearest readers, fangirls, fanboys and fellow writers, I am so, so glad you're all enjoying the story thus far because there's still plenty for me to write. If you enjoy this FF, please feel free to leave a review as I enjoy the positive feedback and draw inspiration from your comments. Thank you all so much for the continued support. BTW, this chapter will be a little smutty and very sweet, but not rated M for Mature. No. Anwen and the twins aren't at that point in their relationship just yet (I mean, come on, that's too soon even by Cybertronian standards). In the meantime, I've got several ideas that need to take place beforehand, but I'll provide a warning if the chapter needs to be rated M or not. Until next time, stay creative, stay safe and stay awesome!)

Chapter 22
"Sooo, are we dating now," Anwen curiously asked the silver frontliner with a shy smile as she sat in the front seat of his (stationary) alt form, to which Sideswipe's holoform gently squeezed her slender hand and rubbed his thumb over her knuckles:
"In a way...but Cybertronians don't really date: we court."
At that, her cheeks brightened, "O-Oh, I see. But you guys can hook up with other bots for fun too, right? I mean, Jazz said that he used to do that sort of thing when he was younger."
::We can have temporary relationships here and there, but when our kind finds the one our sparks long to be with, we give up that lifestyle entirely,:: Sunstreaker's voice sounded in through the speakers as Sideswipe had opened a private Comm. link so he could be a part of the conversation.
*sigh* "I wish I could say the same thing when it comes to human relationships. Most humans date one another for short or long periods of time and then they just move on to another person. I mean, some relationships are genuine and lasting. But some couples marry and then one ends up cheating on their spouse, or their relationship ends up falling apart and they end up divorcing one another."
"Now that sort of concept is completely unheard of in our species," Sideswipe replied with a frown. "When we sparkbond, it's for life."
"So, when you find the one you're destined to be with, you start the courtship process?"
"Mhmm," he curtly nodded as he gave her hand another gentle squeeze.
"But I'm not Cybertronian," she frowned and averted her gaze before feeling his hand cup her cheek, to which he turned her head to face him:
"Being human doesn't change how we feel about you, sweetspark."
"...And how do you both feel about me," she quietly asked while maintaining eye contact with his false body.
He gently brushed his thumb over her cheek and gave her a charming smile while his brother's voice sounded through the speakers, ::I think this is a conversation we should resume at a later time, sparklight. Preferably after I return from patrol duty.::
"Then I'll be waiting."

Upon arriving back at the base, Sunstreaker immediately headed towards the barracks where he found Anwen casually sitting beside his brother on the berth while he held a data pad in his servo and was reading her a chapter from the classic Cybertronian novel: Coldsteel and Starla. Glancing up from the data pad, a smile lined Sideswipe's faceplates: "Hey, Sunny! How was your patrol?"
"Boring as usual," he stated before approaching and sitting on the edge of the berth. "Now that I'm back, I'd like to continue our previous conversation; if that's alright with you, sparklight?"
"Oui," she shyly nodded while Sideswipe set the data pad aside.
"Earlier you asked how we felt about you, so I would like to start by saying this: You complete us, Anwen. Without you, Sideswipe and I were uncoordinated and lost, as if we were spiraling through a dark, endless void. But then you came into our lives and graced us with your light. I know our first encounter was a disaster and I am still filled with regret about what transpired between us, but believe me when I say that I am grateful to you for your forgiveness and aspire to be a better mech because of you."
Anwen quietly sat between the two frontliners and processed his statement before Sideswipe spoke up: "You're our light amidst the darkness and our sparks incarnate. Before you, Sunny and I were merely surviving, but we always felt...empty...like something vital was missing in our lives. Back on Cybertron, we tried to fill that emptiness, but it never worked out and always made us worse off than we were beforehand. But then we came here to Earth and eventually met you...and suddenly, that void seemed to fill up the more we saw you and interacted with you."
As their words sank in, she smiled and finally spoke, "I think I know what you two are trying to say, and while it may be a bit sudden by human standards, I feel the same way about the both of you: Je vous aime (I love you)."
Both Sunstreaker and Sideswipe felt their sparks happily sing within their casings: she loves them! Never in all their vorns did they ever expect someone (other than their creators) to say those words. Yet, this small human femme literally poured her very heart out and confessed her feelings without hesitation or regret. Truly, Primus had blessed them for they had never felt such joy in their entire existence until this moment right here, right now.
As much as Sunstreaker and Sideswipe wanted to shower Anwen with affection, the universe unfortunately had other plans as Prowl's voice chimed in through their Comm. links:
::Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, I need one of you to take over Mirage's patrol as Optimus is sending him out on a mission with Bumblebee and Bluestreak.::
::I'll cover his patrol,:: Sideswipe volunteered, knowing his brother wanted to spend some time with Anwen after having finished his own patrol for the day.
::Very well. Head out and report back to base at 1600.::
::Yes, Sir.:: He then dismissed the Comm. and looked back down at the young ginger beside him, "I'm sorry, sweetspark, but Prowl asked for one of us to cover Mirage's patrol shift while he's out on a mission. I volunteered because Sunny already had patrol duty and he needs to spend some time with you."
With an understanding nod, Anwen motioned for him to come closer, to which she then placed her hands along his faceplates, "C'est d'accord, Sideswipe (It's alright, _). I'll have Sunstreaker here to keep me company and I can always track you down if I start to miss your face or your touch," she winked, making him smile. "Just be sure to drive safely."
"I will," he promised before tenderly kissing her. "I love you, Ani."
"je t'aime aussi (I love you too)," she then watched him get up from the berth and exit the room, leaving her alone with Sunstreaker. *sigh* "Sooo, what would you like to do?"
A slight smirk lined the golden mech's face as he looked upon the speckled redhead, "If it's alright with you, I'd like to continue our exchange from last night."
With a blush across her cheeks, Anwen gave him a consensual nod, to which they then shared a long, romantic kiss. Wrapping his digits through her thick, curly hair, Sunstreaker held her in place as he then slowly trailed his lip plates down her neck before nipping at the junction between her neck and shoulder, {So soft...}
Even though she couldn't understand the strange metallic sounds coming from the Autobot frontliner, Anwen thought they were beautiful. A moan escaped her rosy lips as she suddenly felt his glossa swipe across her collarbone, which prompted him to do it again. "Mmm...Sunstreaker…"
{Sparklight...}
She tenderly caressed his faceplates while his digits continued to glide through her hair. Naturally, she wondered how he wasn't getting them tangled in her curly tresses, but she didn't bother questioning it as she was enjoying the physical contact as much as he was. As they shared another kiss, Anwen's stomach decided to interrupt their exchange by emitting a loud growling sound, causing her cheeks to brightly redden in embarrassment. "...Pardon (Sorry)."
With a raised optic ridge, Sunstreaker asked, "Have you consumed your morning intake yet?"
She shook her head and frowned, "Non (No). Sideswipe and I were going to pick up breakfast after you got back because we wanted to spend it with you. But since he's now covering Mirage's patrol, that means he won't be back until 1600...and I don't think I can make it until then."
"You should ingest something."
*sigh* "I suppose so...but what about you?"
At that, he gently rubbed his thumb across her cheek, "Cybertronians do not need to refuel as often as humans. I will consume some energon at a later time; but for now, I will escort you to the intake facility so that you may acquire sustenance."
"But aren't you tired from your graveyard shift? Shouldn't you lay down and recharge?"
With a slight shake of his helm, Sunstreaker continued to stroke her cheek, "My kind are also not as dependent on sleep as your species is. We mostly recharge to conserve energy; but if needed, we can remain alert and active for over a week without rest."
"Wow, I wish I could go a week without sleep."
"I wouldn't recommend it, sparklight."
At the serious look he gave her, Anwen reassured him with a smile and kissed his thumb, "Don't worry, I wouldn't go through with it anyways, seeing as how I need sleep in order to properly do my job."
"Which you'll have to resume tomorrow morning."
*sigh* "Oui…," she sadly frowned and cast her eyes downward. Granted, she loved her job; but after spending the weekend with the twins, she realized just how much she enjoyed their company.
At the look she was making, Sunstreaker gently tilted her chin up to face him, "Come on now, let's not spoil the rest of our free time together by worrying about what tomorrow might bring."
"Vous avez raison (You're right)."
"Of course I am."
At his cocky reply, Anwen couldn't help but smile, "I love you, Sunstreaker."
Hearing her say those words made his spark happily sing within its casing, to which he tenderly pressed his helm against her forehead. "And I love you, Anwen," he then sealed his declaration with a kiss which caused her heart to race and her breath to hitch.

-Ten minutes later-
Anwen was now sitting in the chow hall with a hot bowl of oatmeal, a small plate of mixed fruit and a glass of milk, while Sunstreaker's holoform casually sat across from her.
"Tell me, why do humans drink this stuff," he gestured towards the milk, to which she swallowed a small bite of fruit and answered:
"Because it's a good source of protein, calcium, vitamin D, potassium and other vitamins and minerals. Also, drinking raw milk allowed humans to thrive in conditions where survival would have been difficult. Basically, it allowed them to migrate and proliferate from region to region with a steady supply of food."
"Hmm," he pondered this newfound information for a moment before asking, "So, why not continue to drink it raw? Why pasteurize it?" Sure, he could just look up the answer online, but he wanted to see if Anwen could give him an explanation first.
"Because it kills harmful organisms responsible for such diseases as listeriosis, typhoid fever, tuberculosis, diphtheria, cryptosporidium, Q fever, E. coli, salmonella, campylobacter, and other bacteria. Of course, there's a large debate over whether or not raw milk is actually better for human consumption than pasteurized milk, but I prefer not to get mixed in the squabble. Both have their pros and their cons, but in the end, it all comes down to one's personal preference," she stated before taking a sip of said milk.
Sunstreaker sat in his seat with a slight smirk across his face: truly, he was impressed by her answer. "Not many of your kind would have given such a detailed and intelligent explanation."
At that, Anwen shrugged and gave him a smile, "Vrai (True), but I like to be well informed when it comes to the foods I'm ingesting. That, and I've retained a lot of information from what I've learned in school and college."
"I can tell," he maintained that faint, yet charming smirk of his which caused an adorable shade of pink to dust across her freckled cheeks.

After breakfast, Anwen headed into the restroom to brush her teeth and use the facilities before she and Sunstreaker headed over to the recreational center so she could play the piano for a little while.
Upon entering the large building, the two of them stepped over to the lounge room where they saw that it was completely empty. Perfect! This way Sunstreaker could relax and Anwen could practice without disturbing anyone: not that her music was disturbing. Far from it. She just preferred to play without disrupting other peoples peace and quiet. Of course, no one thought of her music as disruptive. Rather, it was soothing and therapeutic to listen to.
Taking a seat on one of the Autobot-sized chairs, Sunstreaker opened up a private Comm. link with Sideswipe so he too could hear Anwen play. Once seated at the piano, she began by playing scales as a pre-performance exercise, to which she then moved on to Shostakovich-Waltz No.2. Glancing up into the recently added mirror (courtesy of Lennox), a lovely smile graced the young ginger's lips as she noticed the golden mech sitting nearby with a warm expression lining his handsome face. Seeing her staring at him through the mirror, Sunstreaker gave her a wink, causing her to blush in response.

-Later-
Shortly after Sideswipe returned from his voluntary patrol, he and Sunstreaker decided to hang out with Anwen in her apartment since she had to work in the morning and needed to head off to bed a bit earlier than last night. At the moment, the young ginger sat nestled in between the two holoforms on the couch as The Goonies played on the TV screen. Both twins had mugs of whiskey to drink while Anwen was content eating a (heated) bowl of leftover ratatouille. A content smile crossed her freckled face as she felt Sunstreaker place his arm across her shoulders, while Sideswipe rubbed his foot against hers. Truly, there was nowhere else she'd rather be than sitting right here with the mechs she loved and was loved by.

After the movie, Anwen washed her dishes and slipped into her bathroom to brush her teeth, wash her face and use the toilet, while Sunstreaker and Sideswipe kept themselves entertained by playing Castle Crashers on the 360. As ridiculous and strange as that game was, both frontliners found it to be quite entertaining.
Upon stepping out of the bedroom wearing her periwinkle booty shorts and her Power Rangers t-shirt, Anwen couldn't help but smirk upon seeing the twins engaged in a round of All You Can Quaff. Not wanting to distract them or disrupt their fun, she silently stood off to the side and watched the hilarious scene unfold:
"I'm gonna beat you, Sunny."
"In your dreams, Sides….Oh, what the slag!? How the Pit did you consume a whole chicken that fast?!"
"Skiiiills."
"You fragger…"
"It takes one to know one."
"I'm gonna kick your aft all the way back to Cybertron."
"Not today, Sunshine...Oh yea! IN. YOUR. FACE!"
At that, Anwen couldn't help but laugh. She knew they were just joking around with one another, which made this whole situation much more enjoyable. She loved seeing them interact with one another in such a brotherly way for it was heartwarming and rather adorable in her opinion. Yes, in all their gleaming, handsomely attractive badassery, Sunstreaker and Sideswipe were the epitome of adorable right now. At least they were in her opinion.
(Another Authors Note: Soooo, did you all enjoy the cuteness that was this chapter? Cause I certainly enjoyed writing it for all of you :) For those of you who've played Castle Crashers, I'm curious to know which knight you favored. I personally always liked the Green Knight because the action of melting your opponents with acid was always entertaining. Now, for those of you who've never played Castle Crashers, I advise you to treat yourselves and look it up. It was always a favorite of mine and was a great way for my friends and I to play together on the 360. Ah, sooo many memories LOL.
Also, if you're wondering: Coldsteel and Starla (the Cybertronian novel I had Sideswipe read to Anwen) is not an actual Cybertronian novel (obviously), but I figured they must've had various forms of literature before the war broke out in full, so I decided to add some into the story. I figured that Coldsteel and Starla is sorta like their rendition of Romeo and Juliet (minus the underage relationship and suicide), but I also drew inspiration from the Omashu origin story from Avatar the Last Airbender. Here's the summary:
Coldsteel is a seasoned gladiator from Kaon who's renowned for his combat skills and brute strength, but he tires of constantly fighting for his own survival. He longs to be free of the arena and start a new life far from the energon-soaked city he was sparked, sold, and enslaved in.
Meanwhile, Starla is a young Praxion heiress who's destined to marry a politically powerful mech named, Voltcharge. However, she felt no love for her betrothed and secretly fled Praxus upon learning of her impending fate. Leaving her past life behind her, she ends up in Kaon where shortly upon arrival, she is ambushed by a gang of Seekers and ultimately saved by a large, battle-scarred mech (Coldsteel).
The two ultimately fall in love and secretly meet one another every night for an entire month before the opportunity finally presents itself for them to run away together. For a time, they live a rather peaceful and happy life as sparkmates, but their pasts eventually catch up to them. Rather than return to their old lives and the terrible fates that await them, they decide to take a stand and fight to save their love.
Like I said, it's just a little something I decided to add. A part of me wants to make this a full story, but that's just a wishful thought. Anyways, until next time, stay safe, stay creative and stay awesome!)
