One morning, on a sunny day in Encanto, the Madrigal family just went out to do their daily chores. All except Rosa and her father. They were in Rosa's room; however, it was silence between father and daughter. Both didn't know what to say and do. Bruno knew he would go back to his room, but with all the steps he had inside of his room, and the fact if he steps out the whole family and Casita would go silence in his presence.

Bruno looked to see Rosa still in front of the mirror, her hand on the silver frame and staring at the reflection, didn't even move away from it. Since seeing Mirabel in the mirror and his return, this was a lot to take on Rosa. It hurt Bruno to see what his daughter went through for the past 5 years, abandoned and feeling lost.

"Papi..." Rosa spoke softly to him.

"Hmm?"

"If you want to go back into your room it's okay."

"No, too many stairs you know that. I think my room is the worst if someone went in there." said Bruno as he chuckled a little.

Rosa smiled a little and chuckled as well.

"I miss that, I would go to your room and venture all those stairs."

"If I remember you hardly ever got up to the top, I will have to come down and carry you."

Both smiled at the memory, remembering the good from the past.

"But you always sneak in just to come and tell me your dreams."

"...I haven't done that since..."

Bruno stopped to see Rosa looking glum again, he felt like kicking himself for ever bring that up.

"Sorry, I... I didn't mean to say that. I..."

"Don't be sorry Papi. It's like you said, too many stairs." said Rosa.

Bruno smiled a little and decided to change the subject.

"I know I missed out on your Gift Ceremony, But I did managed to take a little peek from the walls. So, tell me of your gift Mija."

Rosa looked at her father but then looked down as she felt like she's blushing with embarrassment or something.

"Well... my gift is that I look into people's dreams, and I can interpret them."

"Dream Interpretation. My Pequeño Soñadora. Always the dreamer, sleep or awake."

Rosa blushed and smiled a little.

"I can see dreams and they tell me of good fortune...as well as bad fortune for the nightmares." she said but then looked away and hold her arm as she was looking a bit scared.

"Something wrong, cariña?" Bruno asked as he looked concern at his daughter.

"My gift... Abuela says this gift is supposed to be a blessing for me and the familia. But it doesn't... I don't like it. I only use my gift in the family, help them see their dreams and nightmares. I never use my gift in front of other people in the Encanto." Rosa explained as she looked at the mirror to see her reflection, "What if I use my gift and interpret a nightmare, people will see me not a Madrigal. What if they say, "Don't go near her!" or "Don't talk to her! She's the spitting image of Bruno! The Bad Luck of the Madrigals!"

Bruno stared at his daughter in shock. He knew his visions have a negative effect around everyone, from his sister to everyone in the village. And now seeing his own daughter feeling terrified of her own gift, he understood what she was going through. He stood beside her and wrapped his arms around her. Rosa returns her father's hug and looks up at him.

"Why don't people understand what we feel and see, Papi?"

"They just don't understand our gifts like we do, Mija."

"I wish they do."

"Well tell me about the dreams you see. Do they have any connection to your room. Like these dream catchers?" Bruno asked as he looked at them.

"They sort of help me in a way. Once I interpret a dream, I make a dream catcher to help them catch their dream or seal their nightmare." Rosa answered.

She walked towards to one of the dream catchers and grabbed one as she decided to show her father one.

"So, what does that dream hold?"

"Well, this one show Isabela's dream. From what I interpret her dreams is more than just flowers, her gift showing more she can do." said Rosa as she showed him a pretty dream catcher with flowers and vines tangled in the design until she showed him another, "And this one is playful, this shows more of Camilo."

A few interesting ones caught Bruno's eyes. He picked it up to see it resembled some sort of flowing that looks glowing and gliding in the air.

"So how about this one?"

"That?" Rosa questioned until she saw the dream catcher that her father was holding, "That one is mine...it somehow has a connection to...Mirabel."

Bruno looked at the dream catcher and looked back at his daughter.

"Can you... tell me about it?"

"I don't know much the detail behind the dream, it's always foggy. Every dream I've seen it always show me different plants and animals, and they look very strange. Like this one, if doesn't seem like a plant, nor a animal, but it seems... spiritual. But whether these dreams are telling me I know in my heart it has a connection to Mirabel. And now finding out what happened to her..." said Rosa as she looked at the mirror including Bruno as he turned to look at the mirror as well.

"Papi...why was I given this mirror?"

"I'm not quite sure, cariña. Not quite sure." he answered.

"... I want to see her again. I want to know if she's okay, if she still even thinks about us."

"So do I, Rosa. So do I."

Bruno embraced his daughter with a hug again and held onto each other tightly until they felt something bright. The two looked up and to their shock the mirror was glowing again.

"Papi look!" said Rosa as she pointed at the mirror.

"The mirror's glowing." said Bruno.

"Just like yesterday." she said as she was about to touch the silver frame, but Bruno stopped her.

"Hold on, Rosa. I think we should tell the family about this. Why not holler for Dolores? See if she can get everyone to come."

Rosa nods her head and quickly ran out of her room. She was about to the head to the main door until she saw Dolores nearby.

"Dolores! My mirror is acting up again!"

"What?"

"My mirror! It's acting up again! It's going to show Mirabel, gather the family!"

Dolores looked surprise but quickly dashed off to get the family.

Rosa watched as Dolores ran to gather the family. She quickly ran back into her room and stood next to her father.

Both stood watching the mirror glow as she felt the rest of her family entering her room.

"Dolores told us the mirror was glowing. You think it's Mirabel?" Julieta asked.

"It has to be." Rosa answered.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Touch the mirror!" said Camilo.

Rosa turned to the mirror and walked towards it. One touch of the silver frame, the mirror glowed until it showed the image of Mirabel but in a different setting.

"There she is." said Rosa.

Mirabel sat looking up as she began her log.

"This is Mirabel Augustine, and this is the second log. I have to tell you that yesterday has been incredible to me and finally got to see the Hallelujah Mountains."

The family watched as Mirabel brought out a device and showed the pictures of the floating mountains. Their mouths were dropped opened.

"Look at that! Floating mountains!" said Camilo as he looked at them.

"Incredible!" Felix spoke as he was in awe.

"Almost like they're touching the sky." said Pepa until the family continued listening to Mirabel.

"I have never seen anything like that. It really amazes me. There were some waterfalls too but to the mystery was where the extra water was coming from for the falls. But looking at them... it makes me think like something out of a fantasy story. Once we arrived at the camp, mom went in but told the pilot to take me to a different location. I don't know what was going on or why was my mom not telling me anything, but I just go with it."

The Madrigals continued to listen as they were too amazed by what they heard about the waterfall.

"Once we reached the destination, the pilot told me to go straight which I did. While I was walking, I was looking at some interesting plants. They don't look anything like I remembered back on Earth. But... it makes me think like... if my sister, Isabela, was here with me... she might find it fascinated and learn about them."

Isabela shot her head up when she heard her name being mentioned. Hearing about these plants did in fact interest in her. Isabela couldn't help but feel a tiny bit envious towards Mirabel, seeing her explore this new world she was living in with all the flora around her. It made Isabela began to have second thoughts of her gift, something she had been hiding deep down inside her.

"Suddenly, I spotted a wooden house. At first, I thought someone lives there but the person couldn't if there were any oxygen masks or spares for the person. Once I went inside, it turns out that it a was schoolhouse. Then I saw mom only her avatar body. I did have to say that she looks amazing in fact she still is. She teaches the Na'vi children English and then I got to meet them in person. The Na'vi themselves."

The more the Madrigals listened the more they were all intrigued by this Grace. Clearly from what they can hear was that she sounded smart and caring to be Mirabel's new mother. Something Julieta felt a little jealous about knowing her youngest seemed more attached to Grace.

"They are a lot different than the avatars but also the same size. Taller than any human being. Like one kid was standing close to me and she was a lot taller than me including the other children, but they are also tall as a human adult. Once I greet them in native tongue, the elder who was with them was quite impressed as she called me a Sky Child. I guess they called us humans: Sky People because we traveled in the sky to Pandora."

"Sky people..." Rosa spoke softly as she heard those words from her cousin.

"I have gotten along with them and also memorizing their names but there are four I could tell you about. The elder Na'vi is named Mo'at. She is a Tsahìk. A Tsahìk is the spiritual leader of a Na'vi clan and the most important member next to the clan leader. Like the chief of a tribe. Their job is interpreting the will of the Great Mother goddess: Eywa, guide the clan spiritually, and perform important ceremonies."

"Clan?" Luisa questioned.

"Eywa?" Dolores spoke as she looked confused.

"There are her teen daughters: Sylwanin and Neytiri. Sylwanin is the eldest and was trained to be the next Tsahìk. When I met her, she is kind, wise, and also sees the good in me. She believes that the humans should have good hearts like my mom. Neytiri: the young teen, is very spirited but also quite intelligent and also curious. She seems to be a top student to mom's school."

"And I thought that the native creatures and the planet she lives on, had weird names."

"Camilo!" Felix hissed from his son's words.

"And then there was this boy: Nowu. When I was playing with the children, he seemed a little shy. Couldn't tell if he was blushing because the shades of blue but I did encourage him to play. At the class, he was very quiet but also smart too."

Julieta smiled as she listened, her youngest daughter was making friends. But she had a funny feeling deep down that there was something else about the Na'vi boy. And something that her own daughter might experience when the time is right.

"It was actually incredible, especially being friends with them. But there is one word that sounds new to me when I was playing with them. It was called: skxawng. I don't know what that means but judging by how they react from doing something foolish. It means idiot or moron." said Mirabel and chuckled, "Of course, I do see Camilo as a skxawng if he did something foolish with his shapeshifting powers."

"Oh! I'm offended!" Camilo exclaimed as he couldn't believe what he just heard from her.

"She actually has a point there skxawng." said Luisa as she gave him a noogie.

Camilo frowned as he heard his sister and cousins chuckle.

"I also have a video of the Na'vi in the classroom. Let me just change the video view here." said Mirabel as she was fiddling with something to the camera until she smiled. "There we go. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the video of the Na'vi." she said and then the screen change to a video.

The Madrigals watched as they smiled with awe and wonder. They were marveled by the native creatures and how big they were in sizes.

"Look at that... real life Na'vi." Rosa softly spoke.

They watched as the children Na'vi communicated in their language to each other, and playing together. They even saw Avatar Grace as she was teaching them a few English words and reading to them.

"The way dressed looks weird." said Camilo until he felt a whack on his head by his father.

"Actually, it reminds me from a history book I remembered reading. I did saw a picture of how historic, native tribes were dressed." said Luisa.

"Goes to show to never judge a book by it's cover." said Bruno as he placed his hand on his daughter's shoulder.

Rosa looked at her father and looked back at the mirror until the video changed back to Mirabel.

"As you all just watched this school is something my mom is dedicated to. Not just about us learning and teaching the Na'vi. But for them to teach us their way of life in their clan."

Rosa watched as she noticed how really happy Mirabel as she spoke.

"Anyways, that's all I have for today. I'll keep in touch if there's anything interesting or exciting happen. This is Mirabel signing off." she said and starts turning the camera off.

The mirror began to slowly fade away once again. All the Madrigals stood still; Rosa was looking at the mirror before turned to the rest of her family.

"At least we know she's doing okay now." said Rosa.

"And having a good time exploring the new world." said Luisa.

"See Mija, Mirabel is doing just fine. And you know what, I think you were rewarded this mirror to help us see what Mirabel will become and watch over from time to time."

"You really think so Papí?" Rosa asked and Bruno smiled as he nod his head. "Then so do I!"

Bruno felt the hug from his daughter and hugged her back until the two turned to face the family.

"And you know... I think maybe if there's any possible chance, we might actually see her in real life one day. I know it seems wishful thinking... but I dream we will reunite one day. And be a proper Family Madrigal." said Rosa.

Julieta just smiled at her niece, nodding as she agrees as well.

"Maybe. But I don't know how the people would react on seeing us. They have known about Mira's past." said Luisa as she looked concern.

"It wouldn't matter. If they do or don't listen, we just have to show Mirabel that there are some that she's still part of the family and that we think of her."

Hearing Rosa's words did spark something in the Madrigals. Something that seemed to touch them deep and never thought to say. Pepa looked down at baby Antonio in her arms, thinking it would be wonderful to have Mirabel see her new cousin.

Throughout, Alma had been silenced. Ever since the mirror appeared, she began to have doubts of her actions for what she done. However, part of her saying it was for the family and the Miracle, while the other part was telling her that something wasn't right no matter how hard the family tries.
