Back on the road.

It had it's upsides, but compared to the Hyuga estate, it was a far crime from comfortable. Without Kohta or Asami to share space with, it was a much less cramped experience to say the least, but it was still a pretty uncomfy situation to be in. Sleeping was definitely the worse part of it, since there weren't exactly a lot of beds, and now without all of the scattered winter clothes on the floor, the floor wasn't exactly comfortable to sleep on. Thus, it was Shizuku and Alice crammed together on the bottom bunk, and Rei and Saya crammed together on the top bunk.

Well, kind of.

When Shizuka was driving, it was decided that it would be Naruto and Alice who slept together. When Shizuka was driving, Rei would also serve to stay awake and Saya would share the top bunk with Saeko instead. This was during the nighttime though, during the day all of them were awake and those who weren't in the driver's seat or the passenger's seat.

Still, without Takashi, Kohta, Kiriko, Maresato, and Asami to share the RV with, it wasn't that cramped when they weren't sleeping, which was a plus compared to how it was at the start of their time on the road.

The RV screeched to a halt.

"Woah, woah, what happened, why are we stopping. We should be going to my parent's house." Saya rushed to the front of the RV to see why Naruto came screeching to a halt, and Rei was currently laying on her back, because she had been tossed to the floor.

"Sorry, sorry, everyone okay?" Naruto asked, and when everyone, even Rei, responded with okays, he returned his attention to the road in front of him. "... Wire, metal wire in the road. I can see the Takagi mansion remains in the distance, but we're going to have to go on foot and come back to the RV later. It seems like it's about a 20 minute walk." Naruto mentioned as he pointed to the distance. Saya followed his finger.

She frowned.

Her family home was more than half burned to the ground, she could see it from where she was. She doubted that anyone would still be there if it was this badly damaged. Still, she nodded her head to Naruto and got herself mentally prepared to take the walk.

"Okay." Naruto turned the RV off.

-15 Minutes Later-

"Do you really think there are any survivors at the Takagi mansion?" Saeko asked Naruto as they walked at the back of the ground. Saya had taken the lead, since she knew the way to her home better than any of them. She was hesitant to leave the safety of the RV just to check out some ruins, when there was no benefit to doing so.

Making Saya feel better was not enough benefit.

"There might be, and it doesn't hurt to check. Zombie at 3." Naruto stated to Rei, who was the closest to the zombie that appeared from behind a house. Rei with her spear rushed towards the zombie and stepped it in the eye, piercing the brain in one strike. She looked back at Naruto and smiled at him, before she pulled her spear out of the zombie. "Also, just because the mansion burned down doesn't mean there isn't something there we can salvage." Naruto pointed out to Saeko.

She relented easily enough at that.

"Still, if she finds her parents corpses..." Saeko whispered.

Saya glanced back at them, though she couldn't hear what they were saying, she could hear that they were talking in whispered voices.

"So what is it like to live in a mansion?" Alice asked Saya.

"It's pretty nice sometimes, but not much privacy. Maids and workers all over the place." Saya was rather matter-of-fact when she answered.

"I wish I could have had maids and butlers waiting on me hand and foot, it sounds nice." Shizuka imagined the kind of life she would have enjoyed if she were in Saya's place. Naruto and Rei looked at her face, and could instantly see that she was thinking of something extremely lewd and not appropriate for conversation around Alice.

With Saya leading them, they reached the front gates of the Takagi mansion faster than Naruto had guessed.

She stopped in front of a sign that was nailed to the front gate, and Naruto approached the sign and looked at it.

"There were survivors then... but I'm sorry." Naruto pat her on the shoulder. The sign said where the survivors were gathered, but it was also a sign that mourned the loss of the man who made this a safe place for others. Saya's father had died to protect the people under his care, and his sacrifice was listed on the sign, along with all the others who died to allow the others to escape. Saya's mother was listed among those who went missing and couldn't be confirmed.

So she might have burned to the point she couldn't be recognized.

"... I expected this might have been the case." Saya swiped his hand off of her shoulder, and she looked at the remains of her childhood home. She looked at the part of the sign that said where the survivors were all headed. She was tempted to ask Naruto, almost tempted to demand, that they go and see if her mother was among the survivors who had found safe haven in the new safe location.

There were some charred, still moving zombies wandering around behind the sealed gate to her home, and Naruto looked at them. They didn't seem mutated, but more than half of their bodies were burnt to a crisp, and they moved at a much slower pace, with bits of they ash covered flesh falling off as they moved towards the gate where they were currently talking at.

"We should check out the survivors, let them know we plan to set up a safe place for everyone." Rei mentioned as she got to reading the sign and joined in on the coversation.

The more future manpower the better.

"It's a subway station in Tokyo... seems like it might be worth a visit." Shizuka would love to visit some of the malls and stores in Tokyo as they went to see what she could find. Better clothes, snack foods, and other goods that could make the RV way more comfortable. Naruto looked at the sign as he thought about their options though, and everyone looked towards him.

He was frowning.

'Survivors, but at the same time, Tokyo is so population heavy. Chances are the place is flooded with zombies... and this part of the sign is new. It was painted on recently.' Naruto looked at the sign, and he got a suspicious feeling from it. He didn't like the feeling he got from seeing the change in handwriting go from a regular person, to the handwriting of a fancy politician. He looked to see everyone looking to him for the path they were going to take.

Why did they pick Tokyo?

That was such a horrible place to set up a survivor base, even if the subway was an easier place to defend, it was also filled with danger and was away from fresh water and food. It was an excellent place to starve a group of people, and brainwash them into obeying you while keeping them in a state of constant fear. The many risks didn't make the idea of finding possible survivors worth it.

"We can put it to a vote." Alice offered.

"No, I've decided we aren't going. I think this is a trap, the location was painted on after the sign was put up. Different handwriting, and it's too unsafe. If the survivors went somewhere, this is not where they went." Naruto made his choice and gave his reasons.

"If there are survivors though-"

"If there are survivors, they won't be alive for very long. We're not going, and that is the end of that." Naruto didn't allow any arguments this time. He was putting his foot down as the group leader. Saya looked at the sign again as zombies tried reaching through the locked gate to get at them, but none of the zombies could do anything. "Lets get back to the RV. Saeko, we're taking point, and taking out any zombies that we see on the way back." Naruto spoke directly now.

-30 Minutes Later-

'I got to slay 41 zombies on the way back... I'm soaked.' Saeko was shivering as she looked at Naruto's back as he got back into the driver's seat. She took a washrag and wiped the blood off of her sword, her thighs clenched together and her body flush with excitement and adrenaline. She hadn't gotten to see much slaying action lately, but now that they knew zombies were immortal and wouldn't rot, killing them became a high priority instead of just being quiet and allowing them to ignore them.

She was panting.

Both from her excitement and the fact that she spent the last half hour fighting and killing to her heart's content, and she looked at Rei to see if she was in a similar condition. Instead of being excited though, Rei seemed to be sullen about the zombies that she had killed. She didn't seem happy to be killing, and she looked at Naruto, who was neutral to what he had done.

Only she was excited.

Among the women, it was only her who was soaked between the legs. Her long skirt hid the fact that she had sexual fluid dripping down her thighs and soaking into her socks. She gulped, and she tried to calm herself down. She had sweat beading down the side of her face, the sweet scented sweat that came from her sexual arousal. Her nipples were standing erect under her clothes, erect enough that they were visible though her outfit.

"Haaaaah." Saeko took a deep calming breath, and released it. She did this a few more times as Naruto started up the RV, and it was 10 minutes before he body started to cool down and her nipples softened up enough so that they weren't visible. The fluid between her legs started to dry up, and felt uncomfortable. Her sword was polished, spotless, by the time that she had calmed her arousal. '... and he killed all the zombies that crossed his path with his bare hands... I didn't keep track of his kills, but it couldn't be less than mine.' Saeko thought.

She changed that line of thought.

She had just calmed herself down, she didn't need to think about this right now and arouse herself any further.

"Yeah, it was easier when he could just ignore the zombies... I feel you, I'm stressed out too." Rei muttered, sitting next to her when she noticed Saeko's hand was shaking. She looked at Saeko, who had been panting and shaking for awhile. She was the most athletic of the girls, and she had killed the most zombies between the two of them. "... even though they aren't human anymore, it still sucks to have to kill them. It's hard to not think of them as human." Rei didn't like that she had to fight.

She didn't enjoy the feeling of stabbing her spear into the brains of the living dead, feeling the spear stop as it hit the back of their skulls, and then push forward to make it come out the other side.

"It's not bad that you think that way Rei, it will make it harder for you to take a human life. Still, never think you can show a zombie mercy. Now that we know they won't rot, we need to take them out whenever we can." Naruto reminded her, and she leaned forward. "... and remember... there may come a time you will need to take a human life."

"But why?" Rei asked.

"Because, in a world like this, not everyone who survives will come out of this unscathed. There will be many, many survivors, who will be driven to insanity. The people who are best suited to surviving this, are those with either a good head on their shoulders, or those who are absolutely insane." Naruto lectured.

"But... to kill them?"

"I mean, don't go around just killing people, but there may come a time you NEED to kill a living human. Still, if it comes down to it, and you can't bring yourself to do it... call for me and I'll do it for you." Naruto promised her. He would take responsibility for her if she couldn't bring herself to take a human life. "Killing a lover, killing a best friend, killing your enemy... killing to save a life, killing to end a life, and killing to give mercy... the one thing all of these situations have in common, is the killing part." Naruto wanted to save it as a last resort whenever he could.

"Naruto..." Alice looked towards him.

"Okay, onto a different topic. We're going to go back to Shizuka's friends house, and see if her friend ever came back. If she isn't there, we can see what else we can salvage from that place." Naruto stated as he pointed out their next course of action.

"Oh, I know Rika is still alive, she's awesome with guns and she's in the military! If anyone can survive, it's her!" Shizuka looked at Naruto with happiness and excitement.

"We're also going to be looting any of the nearby houses to see if we can find Ivermectin, because now we know it can be used to help us out. Last time, I'm pretty sure I saw a few bottles of it, but I didn't take it because I thought it was useless in this situation." Naruto remembered seeing a house that looked like it had pets, and had some bottles of the medicine in it. At the time, he didn't take anything like that because he had no reason to believe it would be useful to them. Now though, he wanted to do a second run through of those nearby houses to see if there was anything else like that they could find.

"I wonder if the water is still running."

"Maybe, but it won't be hot water, that's for sure." Naruto deadpanned at Rei's statement.

"I could use a hot bath right about now." Saya lamented the fact they were in the RV again, meaning stopping by the river to take a bath instead of being able to just take a regular bath. "Are you sure we can't use the shower?" Saya asked him.

"No, that water is for drinking and cooking. It's the easiest way to store water." Naruto didn't want any of them using the water in the showering tank for that.

"I'll make dinner." Saeko suggested.

"I'll help!" Alice offered, and Saeko smiled and nodded at her.

At least they had okay food to keep their stomachs satisfied.
