So sorry for the lack of updates, University has just started back up and I've been working on the weekends. Between work, school, and personal life this story hasn't been a huge priority. I promise that I'm still working on it and want to finish it before the end of the year(yeah I know, it'll be a while, sorry!). Anyways, this is our last chapter in the forest, enjoy! (May or may not be an 18+ scene. Don't worry, there will be a warning.)
He stood in front of the queen of the elves, for hopefully the last time in a very long time. He paid no real attention to what she was saying, basically just saying farewell and to behave. He physically couldn't misbehave unless Irelia wanted him to. Looking at the queen, he could see every detail in her that he saw in Irelia, down to the diamond eyes and the way they both held themselves with more pride than any others.
He zoned back in as Islanzadi was seemingly finishing her farewells. "With all that said, please bring this missive to Ajihad for me. I wish you the best of luck, my daughter, safe travels." He let out a sigh, finally he was going to get out of this accursed forest.
"We shall be taking our leave now, your majesty" Irelia bowed, grabbed Connor's hand, and turned to leave. He knew she only did that to annoy her mother, and he could feel her glare on his back as they walked out.
"That went better than I thought it would." Irelia squeezed his hand as they walked back to his tree.
"I don't really care about anything she says, you're the only person who has any true authority to me anyways. What mode of transport were you thinking of returning with?"
"I had thought we would just run, as we are both pretty fast, and an enchanted horse would only be able to bring us to the edge of the forest."
"I will carry you."
"What?" She stopped, looking at him confused. "I'm perfectly capable of running?" She sounded slightly offended.
"Irelia, do you remember what I told you when we first met? You asked how I got to Farthen Dur in such a short time, and I said that I ran. I did run. Using my blinking power, I can travel faster than a dragon can. I will carry you to Surda."
"Okay… but how long is this going to take?" She looked hopeful that it would take a long time.
Connor laughed, his laugh had been slowly becoming less gravelly and more genuine sounding, "It will only be a couple of days."
At that moment they reached the door to their shared treehouse. Irelia opened the door for Connor, but he instead blinked out of sight and reappeared inside the house.
"Unnecessary." He smiled at her comment.
It only took a few minutes for the both of them to pack up their belongings, neither of them valued physical possessions that much. Within an hour of leaving the queen's throne room, the pair stood before Oromis, Glaedr, Murtagh, and Thorn. Murtagh had been growing much more than Connor had thought he would. His bond with Thorn would continue to grow into a very powerful bond, and he would be much more useful in the fight against Galbatorix than previously thought.
Not bothering with a long goodbye, Connor walked over and shook hands with both Murtagh and Oromis, nodding to each dragon respectively, before turning to leave. He would wait for Irelia's longer departing words, but he didn't care enough to listen.
After the duo left the crags, they traveled on foot until they were out of sight from Ionia.
Connor finally spoke up, "Irelia." She looked at him. "Would you mind coming here?" She obliged, slinking up to him, trying to hide a smile. "Do I have permission to pick you up?" He himself had to try to stop from smiling.
"You have permission to do a lot more than just pick me up, my love." She leaned in to kiss him gently, before allowing herself to be picked up. Connor held her over his arms, the extra weight on him not visible in his movement.
"Are you comfortable?" She nodded. "Ready?" She again nodded. "I do have to warn you, you may want to cover your eyes after a bit, as this can be quite harsh on them. I will open my mind to you as well, I advise against talking." She again nodded, adjusting herself to wrap her arms around his neck.
Then, right before her eyes, the world went dark. Everything around them seemed to darken, shrouded in shadows. She couldn't see barely five feet in front of her, yet it felt as if she could see for miles. Small glowing lights floated around the pair, drifting aimlessly, yet as if attached to Connor they followed.
Neither of the two spoke as Connor began to start running. As he began to run at a seemingly normal pace, which was still extremely fast even in terms of an elf, the trees in vision began to blur as he picked up speed from seemingly nothing. After only a few seconds of running, the whole world changed back to normal, and they were running at normal pace. They had traveled such a great distance in those few seconds they were invisible, she could just barely see where they started was far in the distance.
Connor! This is incredible! She couldn't believe how quickly they were moving. How is this possible?
I don't know the logic behind how exactly it works, but it is something to do with a form of spirit realm. To my knowledge, there are four realms. The realm of living, which we know and live in every day. The realm of the dead, which is where all souls will go after death, given that the soul is still intact. And then there is the rift, which I have only visited in a very long time. I have no true knowledge on how to get there, only that I was there. Finally, there is this realm, a spiritual realm, where many different spirits and beings live. Generally, everything will leave you be, especially if you are not new to this plane, so we will be fine as I am here quite often. Time moves much differently here, not slower, not faster, just different. I couldn't tell you why I am only able to appear here for a few seconds, but I can immediately re-enter so we will not lose much speed.
She nodded, closing her eyes to the constant change in light, falling deep into her thoughts.
Their first night camping together was uneventful, besides a small band of Urgals patrolling near the camp, Connor being annoyed at Irelia's insistence to not kill them.
After two days of running, they had long left the forest, over halfway to Surda. The heat of the desert didn't bother either of the warriors, so they were content with setting up a tent inside a small cave.
"Does all this running tire you out much?" Irelia laid her head on Connor's chest, her eyes locked onto his.
He shrugged, "Not really, just pretty boring. Do you mind if I take off my shirt, though? It is a bit hot with you right there."
She nodded, sitting up, staring intently at him. "I can move away if you're too hot."
He reached for her wrist, grabbing it gently. "You and I both know neither of us want that." He stated the obvious, smiling down at her, now shirtless.
"You're right, my love." She grinned, pouncing on him, knocking him onto his back, kissing him deeply. Taking a second to take a breath, "Maybe I need to cool off a bit too." She looked nervous and excited at the same time.
"Uh- I. You do you, Irelia." Connor managed to stammer out, blushing hard.
18+ Scene incoming
She simply smiled, more confidence radiating. Slowly reaching down, she pulled her shirt over her head, while Connor couldn't do anything but stare, blushing bright red.
"S-So?" She asked nervously.
"Irelia… I don't want to sound weird or anything, but I didn't think you could get more beautiful." She smiled at his response, leaning in closer, her bra rubbing against his skin. His reaction was priceless, he immediately tensed up, a quiet groan escaping his mouth.
She giggled at his reaction, before reaching behind her back to undo her bra, fully exposing her breasts to him. He couldn't do anything but stare in wonder. After a couple moments of him staring, she got a bit frustrated. "So? Are you going to do anything?"
"I-Uh, um… do, uh- Do I have permission?" He could barely get a sentence out. "I've uh, never done anything like this before, Irel-."
Her grin only getting bigger, she smiled before cutting him off with a deep kiss. "You have permission to do whatever you want with me, my love." His face lit up like a kid with candy, causing her to giggle. "And I mean anything." He turned even more red somehow. She sat up, straddling his lap, staring into his eyes, wondering what he would do.
"Irelia…" He slowly raised his arm, gently cupping a breast, eliciting a moan from her. Encouraged, he pulled her towards him, kissing her hard. He let go, grabbing her sides, and flipped them over. Looking deep into her eyes, he saw nothing but a wild desire. He deepened the kiss, slowly exploring more and more of her half-naked body.
Every inch of her body that he touched lingered a burning feeling, her moans growing in intensity. She quietly moaned his name, causing him to pause, smile, kiss her and continue teasing her. Her fingers roamed his back, tracing his spine, feeling every irregularity, every scar. She told herself that she would have to taste every inch of him someday.
He broke their lengthened kiss, finally lowering his head to her breasts, taking a nipple in his mouth, causing her to moan louder than she had ever moaned before. One of his hands explored her back, while the other caressed her other breast. He eventually switched his hand and his mouth, giving both breasts love.
Her moans were getting louder and more intense, she didn't know how much more teasing she could take. In between short breaths, "Connor, let me… see you fully." To her surprise, he nodded, moving to kiss her again. She reached down, unbuckling his belt, and slowly removing his pants. He lifted his legs up to help her. She immediately reached to feel the outside of his boxers, feeling him underneath. She only grew more confident, she wasn't sure she would get all of him tonight, but she was going to get some of him, no matter what.
When he opened his eyes, the only thing he could properly see in the dark was her bright, diamond eyes, shining despite the darkness, and he could see the want in her eyes. He didn't want to go all the way tonight, there was no way he was going to let that happen in this damned tent.
"Connor, quit thinking like an idiot, just kiss me." She gently pushed his face towards hers. Her hands roamed all over his lower body, and she pushed him down so he was laying on his back. Connor quickly sat up in protest, breaking the kiss to stare into her diamond eyes in defiance. She tried to push him down again playfully, but he resisted with a grin.
Suddenly, she paused. Sighing, "Okay Connor. I'm going to ask you a genuine question, will you go all the way with me, right now?" His expression darkened.
"Irelia… I- I love you. But we are not doing that here. We can continue… whatever this is, but you'll have to wait a little bit longer." He quickly gave her a quick kiss in apology. She nodded her understanding, before resuming her kissing on his neck.
It amused her to no end to feel him trembling from her kissing his body, he'd probably never been touched like this before. She slowly trailed her kisses downward, until she was on her knees in front of him, gently running her tongue along a large scar on his lower chest.
"Irelia?" He sounded almost scared. She looked up, diamond eyes meeting ruby eyes. They stayed like that for a few moments, before he slowly nodded her permission, sensing her unspoken question.
Her eyes never leaving his, she slowly reached out to grab him, before lowering her mouth onto him. He let out a quiet groan, his hands gently making their way into her now messy hair. "Irelia… I think I like you without the headdress." Smiling, she gained confidence, starting to use her tongue. Her tongue snaked around him, causing him to shudder in pleasure. Her hair fell down over her face, and he quickly pushed it behind her ear.
"I-Irelia…" She knew he could barely contain himself at this point. Increasing the speed she was moving, she gazed up at his face, his eyes squinting and his whole face almost as red as his eyes. After a moment, she could feel him tense up, "I-Irelia, I'm… I'm gonna-" His voice cut out as he found his release.
She kept him in her mouth for just a second longer, before sitting back, a satisfied look on her face. Connor was shaking slightly, but looked more relaxed than he ever had. "Before you say anything, Connor… I don't want you to return the favor." He raised an eyebrow in doubt, but knowing that he couldn't change her mind due to his fealty to her, nodded in understanding. "I might want to later though." She said with a sly grin.
He yawned, truly ready to sleep for the first time in a while. Irelia crawled into his open arms, curling against his chest before quickly falling asleep with a muttered "I love you."
He looked down at the sleeping elf in his arms, her messed up raven hair sprawled across his body. He looked over at her blades, laying on the ground in the shape of her family symbol, maybe one day he would be able to understand how they were tied to her. Looking back down at her, he realized something; he hadn't been in pain for those few minutes… the first time in years of painful existence.
I am happy for you, little one.
So… yeah. I'm not great at writing scenes like that, but I do feel like they are necessary to a degree. I've been considering using ChatGPT to edit these chapters for me lol, but I feel like that kinda removes the point of me writing this, let me know if y'all agree or not. I can't promise there won't be another 18 scene somewhat soon, but after that it's going straight back to depressing, woo! Please bear with me, I'm still trying to figure out the formatting on FFN. If you want, check out the story on Ao3 for slightly better formatting. Again, apologies for the delay and as usual, feel free to let me know how the story's going so far!
