Hello everybody! I'm back again with a new chapter. What did you guys think of the last one?Do you think Alison is noticing Emily has a crush on her?? We'll seeeeee.

Also, everything wrote in italics from here on out will be the thoughts of the characters. I was worried it would be too confusing differentiating between the actual dialogue and thoughts. This chapter is a LONG one so buckle up buttercups lol. Hope you all are enjoying the story so far! ~3mison

Chapter Four: Enchanted

Emily groaned when her 7am alarm clock starting going off. After Alison dropped her off last night, she stayed up until 2am reading the new poetry book that the blonde gifted to her. She couldn't help but read through the first portion of the book despite knowing she had to get up early for her Saturday morning workout. She was loving it so far, but what captivated her the most was the note Alison wrote on the blank cover page. She wrote "someone special"...I'm special to her... Her second alarm came back on disrupting her thoughts. Ugh. Okay Emily, you can do this.

There were no scheduled practices on Saturdays, but Emily loved having the pool to herself. It was a special time for her to be in silence. Being in the pool allowed her to turn off her thoughts, but being alone in the pool was even better. After an hour of swimming laps, Emily was changing back into her clothes. To her surprise, Paige walked through the locker room doors. Trying to be nice, Emily greeted her teammate, "Oh hey Paige. I didn't know you were coming to swim this morning." Paige side eyed her from her own locker, "Yeah I was hoping to have the place to myself," she grumbled. Emily swung her duffel bag over her shoulder, fed up with how Paige was treating her, "Well I'm already done so you will," she snapped back, "and for the record, I don't know what I did for you to hate me so much. I've never had a problem with you and I wish you could just let it go," Emily said defending herself. As Emily was tugging on the doors to exit the locker room, a hand grabbed her arm. She turned around, and before Emily could say something, Paige's lips smashed into Emily's. Emily, too surprised to do anything, lightly pushed Paige away from her. Emily stood wide eyed and in shock. "Don't tell anyone," Paige said in fear. Emily was left standing there as Paige hastily walked into the pool area. What. The. Hell. Just. Happened.

Stunned, Emily left the building and got into her car. She went to text the only person she could talk to about what just happened in the locker room moments ago: "Hey Spence. You up? I just got done swimming. Something crazy just happened. Want to meet up at The Grill?" To no surprise, Spencer was awake and responded back: "Hey! I could definitely use some caffeine for all of the studying I have to do today. Oh? Something crazy? I'll be there in 10 minutes and you can tell me about it."

Emily ordered her small double shot americano. She sat down on the couch in the back of the coffee shop, waiting for Spencer. Sipping on her americano, Emily sat in contemplative silence. I can't believe Paige kissed me. Of all people...Paige?? The only words she has said to me have been rude comments. Also, how did she even know I liked girls?? Omg...Paige was my first kiss! Emily's thoughts were interrupted when she noticed a blonde walking through the door. Thinking it was Alison, her heart rate started to speed up. Before Emily could get up to greet her new friend, the blonde turned around and her heart sank. Not Alison. Emily debated on texting Alison this morning, but she didn't want to seem overbearing and clingy. Plus, she was kicking herself for looking at her lips last night...wondering if Alison caught on. In truth, Alison completely confused her. Emily was slowly coming to terms with her sexuality, and she knew she was harboring a crush on Ali. However, she couldn't ever tell if Alison was flirting with her, or if that was how she treated everyone. Some of the looks Alison would give her, or little comments that she made, had Emily wondering if maybe Ali liked her too. She also gave Emily that new poetry book. Emily knew that the author was gay and wrote about women...but did Alison know that? To make it more confusing for the brunette, Alison dog tagged a page...a page that was...well...intimate. Emily couldn't tell what that exactly meant. Obviously she wanted Emily to read that page, or maybe she was just over thinking the situation...maybe she just liked that poem and marked it. Maybe it has nothing to do with you Emily...A problem to worry about for another day.

Spencer walked through the coffee shop doors and waved to Emily before she went to order her drink. While she was waiting for her friend to join her, Emily's phone buzzed. A text from Alison: "Morning sunshine! Sorry I didn't text you last night. I passed the fuck out lol! I was wondering if I could come over to your place this afternoon before our work shift tonight? Tbh I just don't want to be at my house today...will explain later. Lmk if that works for you? XO." Oh thank god. She's not freaked out about what happened. She probably didn't even notice. Phew. Emily immediately texted back: "Hi Ali! No problem haha. I passed out too (lies)! And sure! Want to come over at noon?" "Hey Emily!" Spencer sat beside Emily on the couch and gave her a hug. "You completely disappeared after the meet yesterday! Where did you go?" Spencer asked. "Hey! Oh, I'm sorry about that. I actually went and hung out with one of my new coworkers. She's really nice," Emily said and automatically started blushing. Spencer wiggled her eyebrows suggestively, "Really nice huh??? Like how nice are we talking? Because I see you blushing right now. You totally like this girl huh!?" Emily almost spit out her coffee. "Spencer! I'm not blushing!" Emily tried to defend herself but unfortunately the redness on her cheeks were out of her own control. Spencer grinned knowingly, "Oh yes you are! Common! Tell me about her. What's her name?" Emily accepted defeat...knowing Spencer was not going to let this go. "Her name is Alison. I worked with her my-" Now Spencer was the one almost spitting out her drink, interrupting Emily, "Don't tell me it's Alison DiLaurentis." Emily looked confused and slightly scared at Spencer's change of tone, "Yeah it is. Why? Is there a problem?" Spencer quickly responded, "Shut up! There's no way that you're friends with THE Alison DiLuarentis. Because she is a horrid evil witch!" Emily was stunned for the second time today. Spencer continued, "She's literally the 'It Girl' of Rosewood and is awful to every person aside from her little click. Please tell me you're lying Emily, and if you aren't, run as far as you can. She'll ruin you!" Emily sat back into the couch, "Really? The 'It Girl'? That can't be right Spencer. Shes's been nothing but nice to me. She actually made my first day of work way less stressful, and she came to the swim meet to watch me swim!" Emily said trying to defend her new friend...trying to understand why Spencer thought those things about her. Spencer sat back into the couch too, contemplating things like she always does, "Huh, well that's really weird. Unless she has a super nice identical twin I don't know about, I would stay far away from her." Spencer noticed that Emily went silent after that comment. "Hey I'm sorry. I am happy you've made a new friend, but just be careful Emily. I'm serious. I don't know what side of her you've seen, but she literally tormented me throughout middle school. Alison made it her personally mission to destroy my self-esteem," Spencer said trying to explain herself. Spencer's eyes widened after realizing something, "Oh my god Emily," she reached out and grabbed Emily's arm, "You like HER. You have a crush on HER. Please promise me you won't let yourself be heartbroken by her Emily. She's as straight as they come. We need to find you someone who is actually gay." Desperate to end this dreadful conversation, Emily diverted Spencer's attention to something else. "I don't know if I like her in THAT way Spencer. We've only hung out a few times. Butttttt speaking of someone else...you'll never guess who kissed me today in the locker room." Spencer grabbed Emily's arm again with excitement, "Oh my god who??" Emily laughed at her friend's usual hyper-ness, "Okay, are you ready?" She paused for dramatic effect, "It was Paige." Spencer then almost choked on the piece of the scone she popped into her mouth, "No fucking way!! Shut the front door Emily are you kidding me?!" Emily laughed and shook her head, "I wish I was. I still can't believe it either. I was just walking out of the locker room and she grabbed my arm and just, well, kissed me. I didn't even have time to process before she ran off." Spencer, still dumbfounded, "This is unbelievable. I mean first off, is she gay? And if she is, why did she kiss you? You haven't even came out to anyone. Does she have some psychic gaydar knowledge? Also I thought she hated you? Oh my god Emily that was your first kiss!! Was it awful?" Emily laughed, "Whoa Spence. Slow down. Are you sure you need that extra caffeine?" she asked while taking the coffee cup out of Spencer's hands, "Honestly I don't even know what it means. I thought she hated me too...and yeah I guess it was my first kiss." Spencer looked at Emily like she was trying to figure out a puzzle, which was a common occurrence with Spencer 24/7, "So like...are you happy you got your first kiss? Freaked out? Excited? Do you like her back? I mean you'll definitely have to talk to her about this!" Emily started giggling, "There you go again..." Spencer relaxed, "I'm sorry Emily, I'm just surprised you aren't freaking out right now." Emily took another sip of her americano, "I mean don't get me wrong, I did freak out...I am still freaking out...but I don't know...not only did I not see it coming, but I thought it would feel different." Spencer pried, "Like your first kiss would feel different? What do you mean?" Emily sighed with her head in her hands, "Yeah I guess so. I thought it would feel like-" over caffeinated Spencer finished Emily's sentence, "Like the movies? Like butterflies in your stomach and fireworks going off in the background and your foot lifting up in the air?" Emily couldn't help but crack a smile, nodding, "Yeah...something like that. I don't know if it was because I was taken by surprise, but it just felt...like nothing really. Like kissing a wall." Spencer could tell Emily was upset about it, "Well, at least you've gotten your first kiss out of the way. I bet your next one will be wayyyy better and-" Spencer's phone ringing distracted her from finishing, "Ugh! It's my mom. I'm sorry. I need to get home and start studying for my AP History test," she said as she got up from the couch, "Can we finish this conversation later?" Emily got up to hug her friend, "Yeah! Of course. I should probably get going too."

As Emily flopped onto her bed, her mind wouldn't stop thinking about what Spencer said about Alison. Despite the shocking event of Paige kissing her, all she could think about was Alison. A 'horrid evil witch'? Spencer wouldn't make something like that up for no reason. It's impossible that Alison is a bully. If Ali was the 'It Girl' at Rosewood High, why in the hell would she choose ME as her friend... a lame homeschooler. Oh god. She'll probably be here any minute. As if on cue, the Fields' doorbell rang from downstairs. Before Emily could reach the bottom of the stairs, her mom was opening the door. "Alison! Hi! How are you? Emily told me you were coming over before your shift this evening," Pam greeted, "Well come on in!" Alison walked through the entryway, smiling up at Emily who was standing on the staircase, "Thanks for having me over Mrs. Fields. You have a beautiful home," looking back to Pam, "I love your swing on the porch outside." Damn. She really does know how to charm my mother. Hell, she's charmed me. "Thank you! Emily loves that swing, but I will say my favorite part of the house is the kitchen. Want to come see?" Emily, embarrassed by her mother, interrupted, "Mom, Ali came over to see me, not your kitchen." Alison smiled up at the brunette. "Okay, okay," Pam relented, "You two enjoy your time. If you need anything I'll be downstairs. It was nice to see you again Alison," Pam said as she walked away. Alison looked up at Emily, "Hi" she said softly. Is she nervous? Emily walked down the last few steps to meet the blonde. "Hi," Emily greeted back, "Here," reaching to grab Alison's bag from around her arm, "Let me get that for you." Alison accepted Emily's offer and handed over her bag. "Thanks Em." Emily swung the bag over her shoulder, "Common, let's go up to my room."

The two finally crossed the threshold of Emily's room. Oh god. My room. Ali is going to be in MY room. Why didn't I think this through!? I still have stuff from my childhood in here. Emily was internally panicking at the realization of Alison being in her bedroom. She walked over to her bed, set Alison's bag down, and gestured to her personal space, "Welcome to my humble abode." Alison glanced over to Emily and smiled, but her attention was on the bedroom. Oh shit. She's looking at everything. If she didn't realize I'm a loser yet, she's definitely going to now. Why did I think this was a good idea? The brunette watched as Alison slowly moved across the space, taking in every little detail. "Oh my god, Em! You have a window seat? I've always wanted one of those," Alison admitted while she inspected the room. Alison stopped and looked at the photo frames placed on Emily's bookshelf. She picked one of the frames up in her hands to get a closer look. Emily walked over to Alison's side. She noticed the photo she was holding. "I was eight years old in that picture. We took a family photo before my dad had to leave. That was his first deployment in the Army." Alison directed her attention to Emily, "I bet that was so difficult for you," she consoled. Emily left her side and sat down on the window seat. "It was. I thought I would never see him again. That feeling of dread never goes away every time he goes overseas. It feels just like the first time." Alison placed the photo frame gently back to its original spot and walked over to join Emily. She sat on the opposite side, legs pulled up to her chest, facing Emily. "Will he have to deploy again anytime soon?" Emily looked out the window, "I'm not sure. That's one of the worst parts of it all. We never know when the next time will be." Alison knew Emily well enough by now to see that this was a hard topic for her to speak about. "I'm so sorry Emily. I can't imagine how hard that must be for you," she said gently...genuinely. Emily looked back to her and smiled softly, "As hard as it is, I haven't ever known any different. I just try to soak up as much time with him as possible while he's here, you know?" Alison nodded kindly to her. "Anyways, what's going in your life that makes you want to escape your house?" Emily redirected. Alison then began to tell Emily about her parents' divorce, her mother's drinking issue, and her asshole brother. Emily sat and listened with interest as her friend poured her heart out. "But yeah...long story short, to answer your question, that's why," Alison finished. "I had no idea you were going through that Ali. If you ever need an escape, my place is always open to you. I know my mom is probably ecstatic seeing me have another friend over other than Spencer," Emily said hoping Alison would laugh. "Spencer? As in Spencer Hastings?" Oh shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. "Yeah! She's like my only friend I've had since moving here. Do you know her?" Alison moved slightly from her sitting position on the window seat, looking a little uncomfortable, "Um yeah I do. We have a few classes together, but I don't know her well. She seems like a nice girl." Alison quickly changed the subject, "So, what should we do? Watch Netflix? Pedicures? Oh!" she exclaims and stood up to riffle through her bag. Pulling out Cosmopolitan magazines, "I also brought some Cosmos we could look through!" "What's a Cosmo?" Emily asked. Alison looked at Emily, feigning shock with her hand clutched to her chest, "Emily Fields! You don't know what a Cosmo is?" The blonde jumped onto Emily's bed like it was her own, "Come here. Let me educate you madam," patting the small portion of the bed beside her. Emily laughed as she cautiously sat down beside her. "What's so special about Cosmos anyways?" Emily asked. Alison arranged herself so that she was laid lower on the bed than Emily. She laid her head across Emily's abdomen and flipped open the magazine. Oh god. Oh god. Why did she have to lay like that on me? Why am I feeling THAT feeling between my legs RIGHT now? Are you seriously getting turned on? Okay okay...just stop thinking about it Emily. Looking up, sort of, considering the position Alison put herself in, she said, "What's so special about Cosmos?! Honey, this is THE magazine for women." Alison took charge of turning the pages as the two were reading the magazine. Emily's eyes drifted to Alison who was laying on her stomach. She knew she shouldn't, but she couldn't help but take in the details of her gorgeous friend. Granted, this was the first time Emily could truly stare at the blonde without seeming like a creep. The first thing she noticed was Alison's freckles on her face. This was the first time she has seen her without makeup on. She's perfect even without it. Almost even more beautiful. Emily's eyes looked down at her perfectly manicured nails. She took in the shape of each and every one of her fingers that were flipping through the pages. They're Perfect. Then, her eyes ran across the blonde hair that was splayed across her chest. Some strands tickled her stomach because her shirt rode up from Alison laying on her. Her wavy hair is perfect. I can tell she took a shower before she came over. Her hair smells like strawberries. Then, against her better judgment, Emily's eyes wondered down to Alison's cleavage. Of course her boobs are perfect too. Emily felt a familiar tug and throbbing between her legs. She was about to direct her attention to the magazine, but before she could do so, she caught blue eyes glimmering up at her. Oh fuck. Alison smiled devilishly seeing the familiar crimson red make its appearance on Emily's cheeks. Oh my god did she just catch me looking at her boobs?! If Alison did catch her, she didn't let on. Instead Ali turned her eyes back to the Cosmo. "Omg I totally ship Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. How about you, Em?" Emily was beet red after seemingly being caught checking out her friend. Emily replied, "Um yeah. I think Selena could definitely do better though." Alison responded with a quite 'Mhm'. Alison then moved ever so slightly. Her hand that was flipping through the magazine moved down to Emily's outer thigh. Alison placed her fingers directly under the bottom of Emily's shorts. She slowly started drawing circles on the brunette's skin with her thumb. Emily's breath hitched from the touch. My heart is pounding. Can she hear my heart beat? Why is she touching me like this? Is this what straight girls do with their friends? Spencer has never touched me this type of way. She has her hand so high up on my thigh. Oh god. I'm getting turned on. Emily tried focusing all of her attention back to the magazine...Determined to not get caught looking at Alison again. She didn't notice that Ali wasn't looking at the Cosmo, but looking at the tan skin her hand was on. "I wish I had your skin tone, Em," Alison said glancing back up at her, "My skin could be in the sun for one minute and get an instant sunburn." Emily giggled at the comment. Alison grinned up at her, "You think I'm kidding but I swear the sun has a personal vendetta against me," as Emily kept laughing. She turned on her side, resting on her elbow, "I love your laugh. It's angelic." Emily's laugh turned into a shy smile after the compliment from Alison. The tense silence the two shared at the kissing rock the night before was back. Emily couldn't hold Alison's gaze, and looked down to her hands. When she looks at me like that I lose all of my composure. "Do I make you nervous Emily?" Alison asked flirtatiously with a smile. Before the anxious brunette could respond, her phone started buzzing: a call from Spencer. Oh thank god.

Emily picked up her phone and mouthed "Sorry" to Alison. "Hey Spence what's up?" "Hey! I just wanted to call you and finish our conversation from this morning. I'm finally done cramming for my test." Emily shifted slightly on the bed, trying not to think about Alison's leg touching hers. Thankfully, the blonde stopped staring at her. Alison went to look at her own phone after Emily picked up the call from Spencer. "Oh it's fine. Honestly if I kept thinking about it my head was going to explode," Emily said, trying not to bring up the details of their conversation in the coffee shop. Please don't mention Alison, Spencer. "Well what are you going to do? You can't ignore what happened Emily. You see her everyday at practice," Spencer said, not letting Emily get away with brushing it off. Oh thank god, she wants to talk about Paige. I wonder if Alison can hear Spencer through the phone? "I'm not ignoring it Spencer, but what am I supposed to say to her?" "How about 'Hey Paige, why did you kiss me?'" Spencer said sarcastically, "I mean don't you want to know why she kissed you? Clearly she's got a crush on you." Please tell me Alison can't hear this. "You think she would actually explain herself? She literally ran off right after she did that," Emily replied. She was trying to carefully choose her words so Alison couldn't hear the details. "Make her explain herself Emily. If you don't talk to her about it, think about how awkward every swim practice is going to be." Emily sighed, "I don't have to talk to her at practice Spence. I'll just avoid going to the pool Saturday mornings." Spencer, still not backing down, "Emily you can't be serious. Well what if she approached you? What would you do then Miss Avoidance?" Emily was getting frustrated and worried Alison had been overhearing the conversation. She tried to shut her persistent friend down, "I haven't thought that far ahead. I'll figure it out. But hey I need to start getting ready for work tonight. I'll call you after I get off?" Spencer sighed through the phone, "Okay okay I'll leave you be. Don't think I'm dropping this though. Have a good shift, Love you!" Emily smiled, "Oh I know you won't. Love you too." Emily turned to her guest, "Sorry about that." Alison set her phone down, "Don't say sorry. I'm the one intruding on your privacy today." Emily got up from the bed and started looking through her dresser drawers. Glancing over at Alison, "You're not intruding on anything Ali," she said while pulling out her work t-shirt. Alison sat up on the edge of the brunette's bed, "So, who are you trying to avoid at the pool?" Emily paused while she was grabbing underwear, Crap, "Paige," she said avoiding eye contact. Alison pried some more, "Why? Did she say something else to you? I was serious when I said I can handle that bitch for you Emily." What do I say? Do I tell her the truth? What if Spencer was right by saying I shouldn't trust Alison? What if she tells other people at their school? Emily went to grab her black slacks from her bottom drawer. Okay. Fuck it. Granted, I wasn't the one who initiated the kiss. Paige kissed me. Emily gathered all of her clothes into her arms and leaned against her dresser, looking at Alison. "No she didn't say anything else rude to me. I went to the pool for my Saturday workout this morning, and she showed up in the locker room when I was leaving. As I was walking out of the door she-" A knock on her bedroom door interrupted Emily. Her mom walked in, "Hi girls. Sorry to interrupt," Pam said, "Emily, I'm going to the grocery store, but you should start getting ready for work soon." "I know mom I was just about to hop into the shower," Emily said as she grabbed a towel from her closet. "Well did you offer the shower to Alison? Be a good host Emily." Alison joined in the conversation, "It's okay Mrs. Fields. I took a shower before I came over. Thank you though," trying to save her friend from being scolded by her mother. Pam smiled, "Oh, okay. Well then, you two have a good shift tonight. I expect you to come home after work tonight Emily. We have church in the morning. It was nice to see you again Alison." "Thanks again for having me over Mrs. Fields. Bye." Pam turned to her daughter before she left the room, "Text me when you get off. Remember, immediately home afterwards. Love you." Emily sighed, "I heard you, mom. I will. Love you too."

After Pam left the room, Alison tried to get Emily to finish what she was saying before her mom walked in. "So, what did Paige do this morning in the locker room? You didn't finish telling me," she asked from her spot on Emily's bed. "Oh yeah..." Emily started to rethink her decision of telling Alison. I thought she would forget. Okay. Just go for it Emily. Still standing by her closet, she told Ali the truth, "I was about to open the door to leave the locker room, and she grabbed me and kissed me." Nervously, she kept rambling on, avoiding eye contact with Alison, "I couldn't even say anything before she took off into the pool area. I mean who does that? Yesterday she was berating me and then the next day kisses me? Spencer thinks I should confront her about it, but what would I even say? 'Hey Paige! Do you hate me or have a crush on me?' Like seriously-" Alison decided to cut Emily off, "Well do you like her?" she asked in a inquisitive tone. God damnit why did I even open my mouth? Nice going Emily. "No! Not at all! I mean I've literally been terrified of her harassing me every day," Emily said. "Do you like girls?" Alison asked boldly. Well shit. I definitely didn't think this through. Alison's very forward question silenced Emily. She looked at Alison with eyes silently begging the blonde to forget everything she just said. Please don't judge me. Please don't hate me. Please don't laugh at me. Emily responded silently, looking at the floor, with a simple, "Yes." The brunette's voice cracked while answering. Alison stood up from the bed and approached her. She gently grabbed the girl's clothes that she was holding, and set them on the window seat. Alison grabbed her hands calmly, steadying them because Emily was shaking. "Emily," she said softly, getting the brunette to look at her. Her brown eyes were filling with tears about to run down her cheeks. Alison continued, "You have nothing to be ashamed of," she said firmly. Emily kept looking down at her hands being held by Alison's. "Look at me," Emily's tears finally started running down her cheeks as she looked up to Alison, "It doesn't change how I see you Emily. It doesn't change a single thing." Alison brought her distraught friend into a tight hug. Emily's hand gripped the back of the blonde's shirt. She doesn't hate me. She didn't run away. "Whoever you love, whether they are a girl or a boy, would be the luckiest person in the world," Alison said softly into her ear, "Because they would be loved by you." Emily pulled back from their embrace, looking into her blue eyes, "Thank you Ali. I've never told anyone that aside from Spencer." Alison tilted her head, with a glimmer in her eyes, "Don't worry Em. It will be our little secret," she said while smiling. The blonde reached her hand up to her face. Alison slowly and gently wiped away Emily's tears with her thumb. Emily then realized their close proximity to each other. Her breath caught in the back of her throat. Don't look at her lips again. Alison smirked, as if she could read the brunette's mind. Does she know?! Alison cleared her throat, moved away from Emily, and sat down on the window seat, unbothered. "So, tell me...was the kiss really that bad?" she asked while crinkling her nose up. Emily was taken aback by how fast the tone of their conversation changed. "Oh, um, I don't-I don't know," she said stammering over her words, blushing. Alison grimaced and made a face of disgust, "Damn, it must have been bad. Trust me, you would know if it was a good kiss." Emily sat down beside her on the window seat, picking up her clothes that were laid there. "Well I wouldn't really know the difference between a good or a bad kiss, Ali," Emily said shyly, "It's not like I've had a lot of practice. Plus, she took me so off guard I didn't even kiss her back." There was a look in Alison's eye that Emily couldn't quite place. It was like she was physically there with her, but her mind was a million miles away. "Trust me Em. You would KNOW," she said in a suggestive way. The blonde smirked slightly, "Who would you like to practice on?" Emily felt her cheeks heat up. You. "I- I don't know Ali," she said stammering again, "I haven't really thought about that." Lies. Emily happened to notice the time on her wrist watch, "Oh crap! It's almost 3! I need to shower and get ready." Emily got up to grab her towel from the closet, turning back to Alison, "It shouldn't take me too long. Do you need anything?" Alison smiled, "No. I'll just put on my makeup in here. Thanks Em," she said flipping her hair to the side. God she's so beautiful. Emily nodded her head, "Okay, I'll be back."

Emily took longer in the shower than she intended to. She was lost in thought while the warm water ran down over her body. I can't believe I told Ali I liked girls. I can't believe she didn't immediately run from my room either. She was so kind to me. But god, she's so confusing. Dumbass me thought it was a good idea to stare at her boobs. There's no way she didn't catch me. Bravo Em. And the way she touched my thigh...I felt like my heart was going to burst out of my chest. Also...that feeling...that feeling I felt between my legs. I felt it deep in my stomach. I've never felt anything like that before...being that turned on. She touched me so nonchalantly. There's no way she couldn't feel my heart racing against her. I hope she didn't notice how it effected me. Ugh. She's so intoxicating. So beautiful. I don't know if I can handle being that close to her again. The warm water turning cold snapped Emily out of her swirling thoughts. Shit I've been in here a while. Emily stepped out of the shower and dried herself off. Oh crap. I left my clothes on the window seat. I must've forgotten to grab them when I stood up. Shit...I'm going to change in front of her. Can she tell I get like way nervous around her? I hope not. Okay. Whatever. I change in front of the swim girls every day. Totally normal.

Emily walked back into the room with her towel draped around her body. Alison was sitting on the floor with her legs folded, putting on her makeup in front of the floor length mirror by Emily's bed...her back facing Emily. She had music playing from her phone. Alison made eye contact with Emily through the mirror. "How was your shower?" She asked, "Feeling better?" Emily smiled. She knows how hard that conversation was for me. "Yeah I am, thanks Ali," Emily hesitated, "I-I mean thanks for...you know...being so understanding," she said while running her hand through her wet hair. Alison smiled sweetly at her, still looking at her through the mirror, "Of course Em. I meant every word that I said." Emily smiled at her and silently went over to the window seat to grab her clothes. Should I just go back to the bathroom and change? Would that be weird? Maybe I - "I know it's probably cringy but I love Taylor Swift's new song," Alison said referring to the music playing, "She's such a badass. Making money off of all those songs about her exes. Those men are just helping her build her career. It's so cutthroat, I love it." The blonde said sassily while applying her eye shadow. Emily, still nervous about changing, replied, "Yeah," laughing shyly. God I'm so awkward. Emily pulled open her closet door to change behind...giving her partial privacy. The music playing in the background skipped to the next song. Emily put on her underwear under her towel so that she wouldn't be completely naked. Turning her back to Alison, she dropped her towel to finish changing. Emily's hands were shaking when she picked up the rest of her clothes. Why am I so nervous? She makes me feel...vulnerable? Anxious? Shy? Well, I'm always shy I guess...but there's just something about the way SHE makes me feel. She doesn't even have to be looking at me. Just her being here...in my room...is enough to make me breathless. Maybe you're just an introverted loser who doesn't socialize enough Emily. While she was buttoning her pants, still topless, her hands stopped dead in their tracks. Alison started singing softly to the song that was playing: "The playful conversation starts Counter all your quick remarks Like passing notes in secrecy And it was enchanting to meet you All I can say is, I was enchanted to meet you This night is sparkling, don't you let it go I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home I'll spend forever wondering if you knew I was enchanted to meet you". Her voice faded out as the song kept playing. Emily's heart skipped a beat while Alison sang. God even her voice is perfect. She's the enchanting one. As Emily was slipping on her bra, she didn't see two blue eyes watching her intently through the reflection of a mirror.
