Hi my little Emison babes! I'm back again with a new chapter in continuation from chapter five. Since this is a part two, this chapter will be in Alison's POV again. Kind reminder, bold is flashbacks. Also, I realized I probablyyyy should've left a rated M warning on the last chapter. I'm sorry about that! I figured the T rating is fine for now for language. However, I will leave the M warning for any of the next chapters, as well as this one! That being said, this chapter is rated M for mature.
In response to the reviews (PS you guys made my day!): •Rhaegar T and MrsCalderon17 , Thank you for your kind reviews! Glad you are both enjoying it. I know you've reviewed this a little under a year ago when I first started this story, so I hope you'll both be back soon:) I plan on staying back and updating regularly! •Packersgirl492 , first of all, I'm assuming your username is for the Green Bay Packers? If it is, hi my fellow cheesehead! I've been a diehard Packers fan ever since I was little. I get shit for it on the regular since I'm from Colorado lol. Secondly, yes it did escalate quickly haha. I wasn't originally planning on writing their first kiss so soon in the story, but I couldn't resist! The whole shower scene kinda just flowed perfectly right into the kiss scene. After I started typing it out, I couldn't bring myself to change it. Glad there's no complaints tho lol! ;) In response to the rest of what you reviewed, well, keep on reading my friend!
Happy to hear from you all! ~3mison
Chapter Six: Free Fall
In continuation...
Emily let out a soft moan when all of the sudden, a door slammed shut from downstairs. Both girls jumped simultaneously, staring at each other with wide eyes in complete and utter shock. Breathing heavily, they looked at each other in panic: Emily's mom was home. The severity of their situation stunned both girls as they stood frozen. "Ali what do we do?" Emily asked is a hushed voice, panicking. Alison opened her mouth to respond, but no words of assistance came out. Alison stood glued against the door. Unable to wait for an answer from Alison, Emily darted down to grab the forgotten towel off of the bathroom floor. As she was wrapping the towel around her naked body, she whipped around to see blue eyes filled with fear. "Okay, okay..." Emily said in a contemplative voice. She was really just speaking to herself while trying to find a way to get them both out of this predicament. As Emily began pacing the bathroom floor, Alison snapped out of her stupor. Oh god. Shit shit shit. Okay think of something. Alison moved from her spot against the door, "Emily it's okay," she said in a whisper trying to comfort her. God is it okay? We're fucked. Emily's eyes flashed to Alison with dread written all over her face. If Emily's cheeks were pale from her sickness, they astoundingly turned even more pale than before. "Alison we need to do something!" She responded in terror. Both girls froze when they heard the door downstairs close once again. Perfect. "Okay she must be going back out to the car to bring in more groceries," Alison said, "Run to your room, and I'll stay in here." Emily nodded but didn't move a muscle. She was still standing in the same spot. She's terrified. Alison stepped up to the brunette and snatched Emily's hands into her own. "Emily," Alison said trying to reassure her scared friend, "You're okay. We're fine, okay? You just need to hurry and go to your room...Now." Alison said firmly. Emily nodded at the blonde and finally moved to leave the bathroom. As her hand reached the doorknob, Alison jumped forward and put her hand over Emily's, stopping the brunette from leaving. Emily looked at Alison with confusion. "For the record," Alison whispered, her voice laced with flirtation, "That's what a good kiss feels like." Not letting Emily respond, "Now go," Alison said with urgency. The blonde practically shoved Emily out of the bathroom. As Emily began prancing over to her bedroom, Alison stood as a lookout eyeing the staircase. Emily reached her room safely. Thank god. The brunette turned back around now that she was safely at the threshold of her room. Alison had the bathroom door cracked so she could watch her. Relief flooded both girls as they made eye contact from across the hallway. Emily grinned over at Alison, feeling adrenaline from almost getting caught. She's so adorable. Alison giggled and Emily did too while covering her mouth, trying to stay silent. The two simultaneously stopped laughing as they both wore expressions of something more serious. The awareness of their hookup hit them both like a train. Both Emily and Alison shared the same thought: We just did that. That just happened. Their intense staring was broken up when they heard Mrs. Fields walk back up to the front door. Emily began closing her bedroom door before she turned back around to take one final look at her friend. Alison smiled lovingly and gave Emily a wink before closing the bathroom door behind her.
Alison leaned her back onto the inside of the bathroom door. She covered her mouth in pure astonishment, grinning like a little girl. Holy fucking shit. I kissed her...well I did a little more than kissing, but I really did kiss her. And she kissed me back. My body is pulsing right now. If drugs feels anything like this, then I want another hit. That was incredible. I can still taste her on my mouth. Alison curiously snaked her hand down inside of her jeans. As her fingers felt her wetness, she uncontrollably made a barely audible moan. Oh my god. Did I have an orgasm? I- I don't think so? I don't know what one even feels like. But I am soaking down there. Maybe I did? Alison was so wrapped up in her head that she almost forgot where she was...until she heard rustling from downstairs. Mrs. Fields! Crap. Okay. She quickly looked at herself in the mirror and smoothed down her tussled hair. Okay good. As she finished fixing her blonde locks, she noticed something on the base of her neck. The blue eyes widened in the mirror. A hickey?! Oh my god she gave me a hickey! Emily Fucking Fields! I'm SO going to kill you. Alison inspected the red mark on her neck while internally scolding Emily. In her head she was yelling at the brunette, yet a smile danced across her face. She faintly heard footsteps ascending the stairs. Alison flipped her hair over her shoulder to cover the hickey, and went to the door to perfectly time her exit. She pressed her ear up against the doorframe to listen. As she heard Mrs. Fields reach the second floor of the house, she casually opened the bathroom door. Pam was seconds away from knocking on Emily's closed door when she noticed Alison. "Alison, Hi," Pam said in a quite voice. She thinks Emily is still asleep. "Oh hi Mrs. Fields. I didn't hear you come in," Alison lied. "Emily is awake. She actually just got out of the shower. I was using the restroom while she changed." Pam nodded, "Oh good! How is she feeling?" "Well she threw up shortly after I got here. She seems to be feeling better after her shower though," Alison answered, "She's probably done changing now." Pam knocked on the girl's bedroom door, "Emily? I'm back from the store. Are you done changing?" Both Pam and Alison heard a thud from the room. "Emily? You okay?" Mrs. Fields asked with concern from the sound. Alison cracked a smile while Pam was facing the door. She's probably trying to pull herself together. "I'm fine! You can come in," Emily's voice answered back from behind the door. As Mrs. Fields entered her daughter's room, Alison stopped dead in her tracks. Her heart dropped into her stomach. I know I just saw her...but I'm nervous to see her again after that. God I've never been so nervous around someone like this before. Okay just get it together and act normal. Alison began to follow Pam into Emily's bedroom. "Honey, Alison told me you threw up? Are you okay?" Pam asked while standing in the middle of the room. Alison entered the bedroom room slowly and her eyes began searching for the brunette. "I did, but I'm feeling better now mom," Emily replied while brushing her hair in front of the mirror above her dresser. Alison walked around to her friend's bed and sat down while Emily and her mother spoke. "Okay, well I'm going to make some soup for you and then you can take more medicine," Pam said. Emily's eyes glanced back to Alison through the reflection of the mirror. The familiar eyes made eye contact with each other for only a moment. Oh man. Emily set her hairbrush down and turned to face her mom, "That sounds good, thanks mom. I think I'm just going to lay down and watch a movie or something." Her mother nodded, "Alright it shouldn't take me more than 45 minutes," Pam said while turning to her houseguest, "Alison you are more than welcome to stay for dinner. Unless you need to get back home?" Alison smiled, "Possibly! I'll speak with my mom about it." More like speak to Emily about it. Does she want me to stay after that? Do I want to stay after that? "No worries," Pam replied, "I'll make enough for us all to eat either way." Emily sat down on the opposite side of the bed joining Alison. "Thank you for the offer Mrs. Fields," the blonde said kindly. "Of course," Pam turned back to her daughter, "Emmy do you want some hot tea? You look really flushed." Flushed from something more than the flu. "Sure that would be nice," Emily said softly. "Okay well I'll leave you two and be back up in a few minutes with the tea," Mrs. Fields said before exiting the bedroom.
An uncomfortable silence washed over the bedroom after Pam closed the door. A palpable tension filled the space. Neither girl was brave enough to look at each other. Emily began fiddling with a thread from her shorts. Alison was wringing her soft hands together with anxiety. After a few more seconds, the silence was broken. "Em-" "Ali-" both girls said each other's name at the same exact time. They laughed in reaction from their twin-like moment. The two finally turned towards each other on the bed, faced one another, and made eye contact. Emily was the next one to speak, "Ali, I-I don't want this to be awkward," Emily said quietly. God this is getting a little too real. I was riding on a high in the bathroom after she left, but now I'm coming down from that high. Hard. Emily was thinking the same thing. Both girls really feeling the repercussions now. When they separated in the bathroom, they were in a panicked situation. Now, they had to face it. "Me either," Alison said in the same soft tone, "Emily, I didn't mean- I didn't mean to..." Emily cut off the blonde, "To kiss me?" She said with a very small smile. "Yeah," Alison breathed out in response. Emily glanced down and began fiddling with her shorts again. "I mean don't get me wrong...I didn't plan on it, but I...It just sort of happened, but just because I didn't plan on it doesn't- doesn't mean that I didn't-," Alison felt like she was drowning in her words and she was responsible for her own sinking. Emily could sense Alison's nervousness due to the girl's struggle to find words. Emily spoke again, "Didn't not like it?" Alison smiled at the girl, "Are you going to keep finishing my sentences? If you are, the floor is yours," she said jokingly. "Are you going to keep ignoring my questions?" Emily confidently countered. She's way more confident than I pegged her to be. When she took control in the bathroom...and now. I normally can read people very well but her...she's a whole other mystery. In that moment, both girls laughed, but they truly felt something else: comfort. Despite the nerves they both felt, it didn't take long for them to banter and make one another feel...comfortable. "I did like it," Alison answered in a low, quite tone. I loved it. Every. Single. Moment. Emily pursed her lips in contemplation. What are you thinking? I wish I could tell what you are thinking. "I did too," Emily said so quite that Alison could barely hear her from a few feet away. "Emily," Alison spoke while reaching her hand across the bed, an unspoken request for the brunette's hand. Emily picked up on Alison's silent request and held the soft hand that was once running along her body. The touch was innocent and intimate. I needed this. Alison and Emily released breaths from their tight, anxious chests' in reaction to the touch. "I don't know what this means," Alison said while her voiced cracked. Emily's brown eyes that were looking down at their interlocked hands flashed back up to the blue ones. Alison was now the one with tears filling her eyes. Emily scooted over on the bed and sat directly in front of her overwhelmed friend, knees touching. Emily took both of Alison's trembling hands into her own. "Ali. I don't know either. We haven't really talked about...I mean, we just became friends and then this. I'm just as confused as you are," Emily said. Her kind eyes were searching, begging for any bit of understanding the blonde could give her. I can't do this. I can't. This is too much. I don't know how to even explain the things I'm feeling to myself, let alone her. Alison stood up from the bed and walked over to sit by the window seat. She ran her hand through her hair, clearly stressed. Emily chose not too follow the blonde, sensing her discomfort. "Alison...I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable," Emily spoke in a pleading voice from her spot on the bed. This is spiraling out of control. I hate being out of control. Everything I feel for her makes me feel like I'm free-falling. Free-Falling into oblivion. I can't think straight. "I'm sorry," Emily said sadly after she received no response from her friend. Alison finally looked back up to Emily. "Don't say sorry. You say sorry a lot you know?" Alison said with a light smile. Emily smiled back but stayed silent. Anxious, and unable to sit still, Alison started pacing the brunette's room. "Emily I'm sorry. I just can't think right now," she started spewing out words, "Like when I'm around you I just can't think. I don't know what's going on with me. The things I'm feeling...It's not me okay? I mean it is me, but I feel like there's a whole other Alison that's saying and doing things that I'm not even aware of. I feel like I'm free falling into something I don't know how to get out of. God Emily I'm freaking out!" Alison's voice raised an octave while she rambled on with frustration laced in her words. Emily ultimately decided to get up from the bed at the end of Alison's monologue. She hesitantly walked over the panicked blonde. "Ali do you think you're the only one freaking out right now? Hell, I've been freaking out since the day I met you," Emily admitted. Alison stopped her movements at the admission from the brunette, paying closer attention to her. "You have?" She asked sheepishly. "Yes. I have," Emily confessed. "Ali ever since you came into my life you've consumed me. I thought I was the only one feeling this way until...until you kissed me in the bathroom," Emily said more quietly this time, staying aware that her mom might walk in on them at any minute. God she's so sincere and sweet. This is too overwhelming for me. Everything she's saying...I feel the same way. I can't tell her that though. I'm not supposed to feel this way. "I'm not gay Emily," Alison said short, and bluntly. The change of tone made Emily flinch. Alison could see the hurt and confusion written across Emily's face after she said those cutting words. "Em-" A knock on the door immediately shut Alison up. Mrs. Fields entered her daughters room holding two cups of hot tea. "Hi girls," she greeted. Thankfully Pam didn't notice the tension in the room. "Alison I realized I didn't ask you if you would like tea before I went downstairs. I'm sorry about that. I brought you a cup as well if you'd like?" Pam asked as she set the two tea cups onto Emily's desk. "Thank you for thinking of me Mrs. Fields, but I need to get going. My mother wants me back home," Alison said lying for the millionth time today. Emily turned immediately to the blonde. Alison didn't look into the hurt brown eyes staring back at her. "Well thanks for keeping Emily company while I went into town. Come over anytime," Pam said. Alison stuffed her hands into her shorts, visibly getting uncomfortable from feeling Emily's eyes looking at her. "No problem," Alison smiled as she answered shortly. Pam smiled back at her daughter's friend, "Well that soup isn't going to cook itself. I assume you will show Alison out?" Pam asked her daughter. Emily nodded slightly, still hurt from Alison dismissing her so suddenly. I need to get out of here. I can't think when I'm around her. As Pam left the room, Alison hastily walked over to grab her purse from Emily's floor. Emily began to follow her friend that was rushing to leave. "Ali, I'm sorry," Emily apologized again. Alison turned in the doorway to look back at the scared brunette. "Emily don't say sorry. I just need to go okay," Alison said in the same harsh tone. Emily nodded and looked like she was about to cry. I'm hurting her. I know I am. I just can't do this. "Are we over?" Emily asked while trying to hold back her tears. "Is what over?" The blonde snapped. Emily flinched again from surprise of her friend's cruel tone. "Us?" Emily responded with a question. "Emily everything is fine. Okay? I'll text you later," Alison said as she swung her purse over her shoulder and went to leave. Before she could escape, a soft sweet voice behind her halted the blonde's exit: "Do you hate me?" Alison closed her eyes shut, feeling her own fill with tears. She chose not to turn around, and responded with a simple, "No," before she left the bedroom. Alison rushed down the stairs, flung open the front door, and sped-walked to her car. Alison couldn't stop the tears anymore as she hopped into her car. She speedily drove away from her sweet friend who was crying in her bedroom.
Alison pulled into her driveway and put her car in park. Her face was wet from tears. What I have done? Oh god what have I done? WHY did I have to kiss her? Alison hit her steering wheel with both hands. She was frustrated, confused, and angry...angry at herself. Her mind flashed back to the look on Emily's face after she cut the brunette down sharply with her words. Emily's voice was replaying over and over in her mind: "Do you hate me?" I hate myself Emily. I hate myself for what I did and what I said to you. I wanted nothing more than to turn around and hug you. If I did that I wouldn't have been able to leave. I physically and emotionally couldn't be in her presence anymore. She probably hates me now after that. I know I hurt her with those words I said. I wasn't intending to hurt her. I just snapped. She started talking about her feelings for me and I just panicked. The whole thing started to get way too real. I know my words came off incredibly rude. She probably thinks I'm a bitch. I was bitchy. I could handle it when all of these feelings were in my head, but now there's no going back...well maybe I wasn't handling it well in my head, but now I've officially imploded everything. Jesus Christ I have royally fucked up. Might as well name me 'Queen Alison DiLaurentis, her highness, ruler of fuck-ups'. Alison pressed her forehead into the steering wheel, desperately trying to get herself to calm down. I meant what I said when I told her I'm not gay. Because I'm not. Another voice inside her head countered her very own thoughts: Well that was pretty damn gay Alison. "Fuck!" She screamed as loud as she could in the privacy of her vehicle. A steely, cold look came across her face. You are Alison DiLaurentis. Get yourself under control. Just try to forget about it. Do what you do best: flirt. Alison pulled out her phone and started typing a message to her best friend. A text to Hanna: "Hey girl! Do you have Bradley's phone number?" She set her phone down and leaned her head back onto her headrest. I need to try to forget her. I need to try to forget about that kiss. God...that kiss. I need to forget about all of it. If I can...I'm sure as hell going to try. Her phone buzzed. A text from Hanna: "Omg shut up!! Can you hear me squealing through the phone?! I don't have his number but I'll ask Noel for it. What made you change your mind?" Emily. Alison typed a quick response back: "Lol yes I can hear it. Okay thanks Han! No reason in particular...He HAS been trying to get with me since middle school. Figured I'd give it a shot with him. Doesn't hurt to try." Hanna was clearly waiting on her text because she immediately started typing back. Hanna: "Eeeeeep! Well I'm glad you changed your mind! I can already picture us going on double dates. Maybe you can invite him to Noel's party on Friday?" Hanna attached Bradley's phone number at the end of her text. The mention of the party on Friday immediately reminded her of Emily. Emily's face came to the forefront of her mind again... the hurt she wore on her face after the blonde shut her down. Ugh. Is everything going to remind me of her now?! Alison added the new phone number into her phone and began typing. A text to Bradley: "Hi Bradley! It's Alison. I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date this week? That is, if you're still interested?;)" Am I making this worse? No. This is the best decision. I'll just talk with Emily later and tell her what happened cannot happen again. It can't. Maybe getting a boyfriend will fix this entirely. It has too. Right? Alison typed a message back to Hanna: "Don't start planning double dates yet Han lol. And yeah maybe...I'll see you tomorrow at school! Love you!" Alison gathered her things and started walking up her porch steps of the DiLaurentis home. Her phone buzzed right when she went to open the front door. Must be Hanna. Instead, it was a text from Bradley: "Hey DiLaurentis! Never thought I would get a text from you. Me? Still interested? Of course I am. I would be the dumbest guy in school if I wasn't. How does coffee before school tomorrow sound?:)" Alison read the text, looking at the smiley face at the end. She wasn't smiling though. As relieved as she was to have a date, she felt a wave of sadness flow over her. Forget it. Just forget it. She began texting a response to her date: "Perfect! I'll meet you at the Brew at 7 then." Before she closed her phone, she went to check her inbox in hopes that Emily may have texted her. Nope. Figures. She'll probably never talk to me again. Alison took a deep sigh and entered her home.
4 a.m. early morning of the next day:
Alison was tossing and turning on her bed. A dream incapsulated her while sleeping: Alison was in the Rosewood Sharks' locker room. She was walking around the lockers looking for something? Someone? As she rounded the last row of lockers, her eyes landed on the thing she was looking for. Except it wasn't a thing, it was a person. Emily was drying off of hair with a towel while still in her swim suit, dripping wet. "Emily!" Alison called out to her. Emily turned around and smiled, "Alison!" The two girls ran to each other and embraced in a hug. "You have no idea how much I've missed you," Alison said into the brunette's ear. "I've missed you too Ali," Emily responded softly. The two separated from their hug. Alison looked down at her clothes that were now wet from holding the swimmer. "Looks like I got you all wet," Emily said with a sexual tone. Emily took a step forward, grabbing Alison's hips in her hands, "I bet I can get you wetter," Emily said flirtatiously. Emily leaned in to connect their lips. Both girls moaned at the contact. Emily shoved Alison up against the locker-
Alison's eyes flipped open. She heard herself saying Emily's name when she exited her dream. Her breathing was erratic after she woke up...her chest moving up and down at a quick pace. Alison shot up into a sitting position, wiping the sweat off of her forehead. She felt the all too familiar feeling in between her legs...the feeling she had felt multiple times around Emily. She was not oblivious to the fact that she was wet down there. Alison ran her fingers through her hair, processing the very vivid dream she just woke up from. I do miss her. Sleepy and not quite thinking clearly, Alison reached over to her cellphone on her nightstand. She immediately went to text her friend. A text to Emily: "Hey. I know it's early, but I wanted to see if you were feeling any better? Still running a fever?" Alison wanted to text something completely different. Even though she was tired, she still had enough awareness and composure to keep her true feelings to herself. I wish I could ask you how you were feeling after our hookup. I wish I could apologize to you and tell you how sorry I am. I wish I could tell you that I feel the same way you feel about me...being consumed by me. I've been consumed by you too. You're not the only one who feels this way Emily. I'm just not gay. I want to apologize for how my words came out. I didn't mean to be so rude to you. I was just overwhelmed. I just miss you. I want to hear your voice and hear you tell me you forgive me. I want to to go back to what we had before this all happened. I want to hear you tell me everything is okay and we can move past this. Whatever this is. Alison's sleepy thoughts were cut off by her phone buzzing. Oh my god. She's awake. A text from Emily: "Hey Ali. Why are you up so early? I'm feeling a lot better, thanks. Must have a been a 24 hour bug. How are you feeling?"She's asking how I feel about what happened. Alison flopped back onto her pillow. Looking up at her ceiling with her phone clutched in her hands, the tears started flowing again. I don't know how to move past this. I want to say so many things to her but I just can't. I don't understand these feelings, but I know I can't avoid that conversation forever. I know it's going to come up between us soon. Maybe I can just say I was experimenting? Because that's what it was...right? Maybe just tell her that I like boys, but I still want us to be friends. Because that's the truth...right? Maybe I can say I was being a nice friend by giving her a good kiss? Because that's what I was doing...right? I can't slip up again. I showed her way too much vulnerability. I was so close to telling her I felt the same way. Thank god Mrs. Fields walked in the room. At least she texted me back. That means she doesn't hate me. There's still a chance to fix this...I hope. I know she's gay and now I've done the worst thing I could've possibly done. God, it was good though. It really was. Feeling her lips on mine...feeling her hands in my hair...touching her bare skin...hearing her moan into my mouth. Alison palmed her face with her hand. God I'm so fucked. I desperately need to hook up with Bradley. I need to feel someone else besides her. I can't keep having these thoughts and now these dreams about her. I have got to put this behind me. Especially if Emily and I are going to stay friends. It can't happen again. I don't even know if I'm ready to see her yet. Crap! We're working together tonight. Alison eventually started typing a text back to Emily: "Just got up early so I could get ready for the day. I'm glad you're feeling better! Why are YOU up so early? Lol" Alison completely ignored Emily's question about how she was feeling, and lied about why she was up. No more vulnerability. I wonder why she is up early though? I wonder if she couldn't sleep either...I wonder if she's thinking about me too...thinking about what happened between us? Alison's phone vibrated on her bed. A text from Emily: "I get up early to go for runs in the morning. I'll see you at work later tonight?" Alison texted back quickly: "Gotcha. And yes I'll see you then. Have a good day Em." Little did Alison know, Emily lied to her about why she was up too. The brunette did go for runs, but unbeknownst to Alison, her friend had been up for hours...thinking about her.
Oof. Got a little awkward there, huh? Well, unfortunately, it's only the beginning for Alison and Emily.
Also, I haven't decided the pace of how often I will be releasing new chapters. At this point I'm just writing whenever I have free time! Maybe in the future we will shoot for a chapter a week. My wedding is coming up in a month though, so I'll more than likely set up a schedule after that. As always, leave some reviews! I love hearing from you all. See you next time! ~3mison
