Hey, guys! It's been a long time coming, or at least for a while, but the rewrite is here! Unfortunately, due to my very busy lifestyle, the updates will be very slow-coming. But, one benefit from this is that I will try and become more active and descriptive towards not just this fanfic, but also my other fanfics as well.
Like I mentioned before in my notes from my old version of Cherished Evolution, I'm not making Elize into some super hot beauty, nor will I have her growing up to have big boobs or anything like that. No, nothing as annoying and cliche as that. In fact, I'm having her have some sort of new, cute design that'll be shown in the image area soon. You'll see.
I mentioned before that there will be a LOT of changes for this story, and that'll remain true. One important thing you all should know is that I plan to merge both the anime and manga versions together. Converging both of them in this fanfic will not be an easy task, but the results may be very well-worth it.
In addition, this fanfic will also be based on the Tag Force games, and since this is the GX setting, that means that the first three games for the Tag Force series will be implanted here. I personally don't have the games, but I'll have to go through the translations and other aid for this to work.
That said, this will be a very short chapter, and...well, it's a very surprising one. Why? You'll see.
Disclaimer: Mage of Hope doesn't own any Yu-Gi-Oh series, only the OCs.
Rain. Sobbing. Silence. The three sounds of life that described the depressed and tense atmosphere in the area entirely.
Rain. Splashing, dripping, and drizzling everywhere in the dark and gloomy environment. The grass softened with the rain, ground spots were filled up and transformed into puddles, stone and metal were drenched; all the source of the rain being from the dark and stormy clouds that covered the skies entirely with not a single mark of the skies seen anywhere.
Sobbing. Several people were unable to contain their sorrows and let everything out as the sounds of silence and rain muffled their pain. The most notable people sobbing were the girls like Alexis and Blair, whereas others were sniffling and crying. Some were trying to keep it together, but they eventually allowed their tears to blend in with the rainy environment, if only to comfort themselves a little bit.
Silence. Perhaps the worst sound of them all. Nobody dared spoke a single word, but at the same time, the silence was unbearable. They all wanted to say something, to speak their opinions, any sort of final word, but the words couldn't escape from their hearts. They thought it would be too selfish and painful to do so.
Everyone had gathered for one purpose only; to speak their final goodbyes towards one single person. The one person who was a significant part of their lives, even if it was for a few years.
Elize Evergreen Konami.
A lot of people within the crowd changed for the better because of her. Sure, she wasn't the smartest nor the strongest duelist, but none of that mattered in the end. She was always a kind and gentle girl and she always did her best to help others. She always tried comforting people and lending a shoulder to those in need. Even if she failed at times, she tried everything within her power, everything she could rack her brain in, to solve a solution as peacefully as she could.
She fought alongside friends, becoming so close to them that she could consider them as a second family. She started off small, and thought that she would only have just a few friends, but that small number increased as time passed, to the point where she could consider them friends for a lifetime. Each of them were unique in their own way, but she accepted them regardless.
She did a lot of things with her friends. Activities, hangouts, dueling, and adventures that brought them closer than ever. There were conflicts and lots of problems along the way, but they resolved it one way or another. It seemed like they were unstoppable as long as they were together.
But eventually, all good things must come to an end. There were times of peace, and times of conflict and danger. And within those times, a kind soul was lost.
Everything began in Elize Konami's first year in Duel Academy. And the world continued on...even after the tale of how she died.
I know you guys have questions, but it's likely I won't and can't answer them due to spoilers! But...read and review!
