The Rabbit Hole became unbearable for Regina. She felt like she had just lost something a part of her. And she wanted it back, desperately.
It took Regina strength to move, her body still feeling Emma's weight, her heavy breathing, and her eyes. Then she remembered that Emma said she would leave town, and she felt an anger inside her, one she hadn't felt in a while. The blond always made her feel things deeply, she knew that from the first time she laid eyes on her.
"Idiot!"
She needed to do something before she exploded, anger and despair at the same time. She couldn't let the blood leave, not like this, not ever.
Purple smoke surrounded her body. When it lifted, she was in front of Emma's apartment. It wasn't difficult to act, clearly Emma was talking to someone inside. Emma never had a quiet voice, not even in situations where diplomacy would demand it. As the door opened, she felt something so strong, real, that she thought she had never felt anything like that in her life. Finally she had that piece back, that was missing but a moment ago.
"Regina!"
"Em-ma!"
Hearing Regina say her name like that always drove Emma insane. It was just the tone of her voice that spoke to her core.
Regina needed a moment after the fort opened to look around. Noticing Snow in the background didn't make the situation easier. Regina decided that this moment was complicated enough as it was, so she decided to teleport Snow away.
"What, what the hell did you do to her?" For a moment Emma got afraid that Regina might have done something stupid out of anger.
"Oh, come down Emma, she's fine. Don't worry. Put down the luggage and move back inside. We have to talk." Now that was more to Regina's liking seeing Emma suffer like this, even for a moment. She needed to feel something else. Feeling anger helped, at least she wouldn't feel hopeless for a moment.
God, Emma thought, she was hot when she was demanding, but what did she want? Emma got more and more confused. Worrying about her mother didn't help, while seeing Regina outraged.
"Look, Regina. I don't want to fight. I apologise for what I have done. I just hoped."
Emma was cut off, Regina stepped closer, minimising the space between them. The air was filled with electricity. Emma felt her neck hairs stand on end, her whole body felt electrified. She could smell Regina's perfume, her body heat so close to hers.
"I see you, Em-ma."
If nothing in the world would make Emma Swan nervous, but Regina Mills. Shaking, she nearly whispered back.
"Please stop saying my name like that, it drives me insane!"
She moved closer and Emma stepped back. She didn't stop walking until Emma was pressed against the kitchen counter. Emma felt her whole body, the heat was too much. This smile on Regina's lips gave Emma trouble concentrating. She placed her hands on the counter beside Emma's, the air thick with unspoken words and desire.
"You have been with this filth to make me jealous? You have kissed him in front of me to make me jealous?"
Now there was the Evil Queen's voice, which made Emma nearly wetter than she already felt herself. She would be troubled by the thought of why she was so aroused later, there was no time for this now.
"Listen, at the time it felt like a great idea. I understand that it wasn't my best. Don't worry, I'll leave, and you won't ever have to see me again."
It was all too much, too much feeling, too much closeness. And this feeling that she had lost Regina nearly destroyed her from the inside. But to feel Regina so close was not helpful.
What Regina did next blew Emma's mind. She placed her hands on top of Emma's. She still had this smile on her face, and Emma needed all of her strength not to kiss her. Regina was torturing her, Emma was sure that this must be some sort of cruel punishment. Regina must have realised by now what effect she had on Emma.
