Regina was staring at Emma, forgetting for a moment that she was beyond angry at the blonde. She felt her sent and her bodyweight, which would make her have all sorts of funny feelings; however, she could not give in. She wanted to punich Emma; she wanted to see her in pain as much as she was while she would see the blond with this filth of a priate. She wanted to see her in pain as much as she was while she saw the blond with this filth of a pirate. She would not rest until she had her revenge.
"You really think that brining me to your apartment and pushing me onto your bed will do the trick? I see that kissing him made you as dum as him!"
Emma was staring back; she didn't have any facial expression besides feeling guilty that her lust had overpowered her. But knowing that Regina had some sort of feeling for her and that she would see her was just too much. She couldn't bear the thought of breaking Regina's heart. Regina's eyes were filled with hurt and betrayal, causing Emma to realize the depth of her mistake. She knew she had to make things right, even if it meant sacrificing her own desires for the sake of Regina's happiness.
"I am sorry you are right. I will bring you home. I just hoped that we could; you could just let us be happy together," she pleaded, tears streaming down her face.
"Don't you, dear, put the fault on me! You did this! If you weren't such a coward, we wouldn't have to go through this pain together," she cried out, her voice cracking with emotion.
"Regina, please, I know I made a mistake. I would do it all differently if I had any idea that you could feel anything but friendship for me. But you never showed anything; you hide pretty well, you know."
Emma would remove her hands from Reginas, who were odly holding each other, nearly carassing. Regina wiped away her tears, her expression softening. "I didn't know how to tell you, Emma. I was scared of losing our friendship," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "But now that it's out in the open, I don't know how to react. I can't get rid of these pictures in my head. You have to understand that seeing you with him makes me angry and hopeless all the time."
Emma looked at Regina with a mix of surprise and understanding. "I had no idea you felt that way," she said softly, reaching out to hold Regina's hand once more. "We can work through this together. I will wait for you a thousand life times, if I have to. I swear to you, no one will ever touch me again; there is only you, Regina."
Regina's eyes filled with tears as she squeezed Emma's hand tightly. "Thank you for being so patient and understanding," she whispered. "I believe in us, Emma. I always have. I will go home alone; it's better this way; if you come with me, I might not be able to control myself. And believe me when I say that you are damn right; no one will ever touch you again besides me!"
Emma wiped away Regina's tears with her free hand, a soft smile on her face. "I believe in us too, Regina. I'll wait for you, no matter how long it takes." With a final squeeze of Regina's hand, Emma let go and watched as Regina walked away.
"You are such an idiot, Swan; how could you hurt her with this? You nearly lost her!" Emma said to herself, laying on her bed, still feeling Regina's body on hers. Regina's words echoed in Emma's mind, causing her heart to ache with regret. She vowed to make things right and never let Regina slip away again. With determination in her eyes, Emma swore to herself that she would never hurt Regina like this ever again; she wanted this more than anything. She wanted Regina, and she would make sure that Regina would have no doubt about her feelings anymore.
"Tomorrow will start a new phase for us. I promise you, Regina." This wasn't just a fling for Emma; she knew she loved Regina from the moment she met her. And this time both would get their happy ending.
Emma knew that rebuilding trust would take time, but she was willing to put in the effort for Regina. She was determined to show Regina how much she truly cared and make up for her past mistakes.
Felling tier after all of this emotional distress, she felt how her eyes closted by themselves. She drifted off, hoping to dream of Regina. She knew that their love was worth fighting for, and she was ready to do whatever it took to make things right with Regina. As she fell asleep, a sense of peace washed over her, knowing that they were finally on the path to a happy future together.
