Chapter 19: The Wedding

Years have passed since Danny Fenton graduated from Casper High and Clawdeen Wolf graduated from Monster High. Now, they were about to take a crucial step in their relationship: holy matrimony. As Clawdeen's guest list was much larger than Danny's, the ceremony was held in a temple close to the Wolf residence.
Draculaura Wolf was helping her sister-in-law adjust her wedding dress. "Don't move, Clawdeen." She said. "This dress is full of details."

"Are you saying that to me?" Clawdeen asked. "I designed it."

"And you did a great job with it, Clawdeen." Draculaura responded with a sincere smile.

"Not as good as the work Danny and I did improving relations between monsters and humans." Clawdeen commented. "Who knew one day I'd say 'humans' instead of 'normies'?"

Meanwhile, Danny's family was arriving. "Jack, couldn't you drive faster?" His sister-in-law Alicia asked.

"Couldn't you have stayed at home?" Jack asked back, not hiding the displeasure he feels being around her. "I mean, you're still not used to monsters."

"As if I would let a bunch of monsters come between me and my nephew." Alicia said. "I'm sure they're more afraid of me than I am of them."

"They should." Jack muttered and then felt Maddie and Alicia staring at him. "After all, you've defeated bears tougher than monsters."

"That's right." Alicia boasted.

"And I have a few words for Clawdia about the documentary she's making about Danny and Clawdeen and how they're influencing monsters and humans" Jack said. The actor playing me makes me look like an idiot."

"This proves that Clawdia chose the right person for the role." Alicia commented.

"Alicia!" Maddie scolded her sister.

"Sorry, Maddie." Alicia replied.

"I still think I should represent myself." Jack said.

"The buffet incident destroyed all chances of that happening." Maddie replied.

"Do I want to know what this is about?" Alicia asked.

"No." Maddie replied.

As much as Danny had gotten used to monsters, he still couldn't believe that he would get married in a ceremony officiated by Count Dracula. "Ladies and Gentlemen, monsters and humans, we are gathered here to celebrate the wedding of Daniel Fenton and Clawdeen Wolf." Dracula said. "If anyone here knows of any reason why this wedding should not take place, speak now or forever hold your peace."

To the surprise of the Fentons and Tucker Foley, Sam Manson stayed quiet. "Aren't you going to say anything?" Tucker whispered.

"Tucker, I may be a rich person whose crush chose someone else but I'm not a fruitloop." Sam replied.

"Daniel James Fenton, will you accept Clawdeen Wolf as your lawfully wedded wife, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, now and forevermore, until death do you part?" Dracula asked.

"I do." Danny answered.

"Clawdeen Wolf, will you accept Daniel James Fenton as your lawfully wedded husband, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, now and forevermore, until death do you part?" Dracula asked.

"I do." Claween answered.

"By the power vested in me by the government of the Boonighted States of Scaremerica, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife." Dracula stated. "You may kiss the bride."

During the party, Draculaura approached Sam. "Thank you for ensuring that your establishment's vegan pizzas are garlic-free." The vampire said.

"You're welcome, Draculaura." Sam said and then noticed how Draculaura was rubbing her stomach. "Anything we should know?"

"We are waiting for medical reports before we know for sure." Draculaura replied.

Meanwhile, Tucker Foley was talking to Frankie Stein. "Think about it, Frankie." He said. "By combining our technological knowledge, we can develop a way to accumulate the energy of lightning instead of needing it at the moment it happens."

"Yes, the accumulation of energy will never be the same." Frankie agreed. "Hahahahahahahaha!"

"That laugh sounds villainous." Tucker commented.

"Yeah, I've been told that." Frankie conceded.

Jack Fenton was looking for Clawdia. "Clawd, have you seen your sister?"

"Which one do you mean, Mr. Fenton?" Clawd asked.

'I forgot he has more than one sister.' Jack thought. "I mean Clawdia."

"I don't know, Mr. Fenton." Clawd replied. "It almost looks like she's hiding from someone."

"I'm sorry I couldn't stop my sister-in-law from coming." Jack replied. "She's Danny's aunt."

Clawd wanted to put an end to this conversation. "Is that a bowl of fudge?" he asked.

"Where?" Jack asked and ran in the direction Clawd pointed.

Clawdia was hiding under a nearby table. "I owe you one, Clawd." She said.

"It was a pleasure, sis." Clawd replied.

"I'm not going to miss Clawdeen's wedding just because her father-in-law is one of those amateurs trying to shoehorn his way into the movie industry." Clawdia declared.

After the party, Danny and Clawdeen announced that they were going to Scaris for their honeymoon. "Congratulations, ghoulfriend!" Draculaura exclaimed.

"I should have suspected when Danny started studying French." Jazz commented.

"Really?" Jack asked. "It could have been for some fashion show."

"BEWARE!" They heard someone say. "I am the Box Ghost!"

"Save that for your free time." Clawdeen's father ordered. "We're paying you to serve the guests."

"SORRY." The Box Ghost replied.

"I can't believe what I'm seeing." Jazz commented.

"Don't you believe that a father would do extra work to support his daughter?" Box Ghost asked.

"Is Box Lunch already born?" Danny asked while feeling disgusted.

"Wait a minute." The Box Ghost said. "How do you know my daughter's name?"

"Um, lucky guess?" Danny improvised.

"Fair enough." The Box Ghost replied, accepting Danny's excuse.

"Sorry about that, Danny." His father-in-law said. "I warned him not to come with that boring talk."

"Apology accepted, Mr. Wolf." Danny replied.

"Mr. Wolf, have you seen Clawdia?" Jack asked. "I need to talk to her about a new script."

"I'll pass on the message and she'll call you later, Mr. Fenton." Mr. Wolf responded.

"Thanks!" Jack exclaimed happily, not realizing how long the wait would be.
