She was scammed, that had to have been what it was.

"What the fuck even is this?" A girl sitting cross-legged on her bed mutters, staring at the leather bound book in front of her. She read the sentence once more and she scoffed. "Carve the figures using the wood from a specific kind of tree within a circle away from civilization-this-this just sounds like some scheme to get people out of their house to get kidnapped!"

The exasperated girl shakes her head as she stands up to her full height, her hair dry after half an hour of reading and her skinny figure leaving much to be desired as she removes the small towel from her neck and set it on the chair of her desk. Her black hair being the only physically redeeming quality about her.

She knew it was too good to be true, her gaze icily landing on the book, worn with age and filled with fantastical subjects that she knew her mom would have loved. It was an attempt to get closer to her mother, one of many over the years ever since her death, but it was one of the few times she not only had dry money ever since they, or the trio, began acting up, but that she herself felt motivated to do so.

So, picking a nearby used bookstore, she went and perused through, letting her instinct and nostalgia guide through the section of old and worn books until she landed on one that piqued her interest.

It had a robot wolf. You can't blame her for being curious! How can something have a mechanical wolf on the cover and still look old enough to at least beat at least half of the other old books its unthinkable!

And, maybe, she was naive enough to believe she'll be able to do something with it.

She clicked her tongue, looking out into the sky from her small window as she sighed, letting her mind wander to different things.

A world without things like the Endbringers or the Empire Eighty-Eight or even that big ship out covering the bay.

No, it won't work.

But...if it could…

Huh, Brockton Bay is great at one thing and that's squashing people into paste until there is no hope or anything left in them.

But even then, people find the resolve to continue. Her own father is similar and so are the Dockworkers…

She glances once more towards the book and sighs. "This is stupid."

She grabs it, opening to the page she was previously on and placing it on her desk as she huffs in disbelief. "I'll read it through, it can't be that convincing."

It fucking was.

A hooded Taylor curses at herself as she tries her best to give herself brain damage by liberal use of self-hate and much more as she curls in on herself, book in hand. "I'm gonna get kidnapped."

In her other pocket is a knife and a piece of wood she found in the basement that was broken off. Her mind recalling the passage of the book mentioning how any wood suffices but that using any other will result in a subpar product and would possibly only listen to one order before leaving.

At least, if she summoned it.

In the back of the book is a list of animals that can be summoned. She just hopes its a group of sharks instead of just one.

Her heart was beating out of her chest as she came to the realization of how stupid she is.

For the fifth time in the walk to the Docks.

Finally, she saw it, the ship impeding Brockton Bay's most ludicrous jobs.

Taking a deep breath, she brought out a piece of chalk, finding a flat surface and began to draw a circle. She glanced at the book to make sure she's drawing the right thing but also glancing around to make sure no one else is around.

Luckily(shockingly) for her, it was empty, no murder-hungry racist nazis, no drug addicted rug dealers, no Asian Drago-.

Quickly, Taylor checked the book once more, and nodded, no Asian Dragons around.

A lack of reptiles but nothing that matters at the moment.

She sighs, standing up as she read aloud. "Pray. That is the important aspect of this ritual. You are not asking for its power, you are begging it." She pauses, looking up to the sky as she licks her lips. "Ok, that's a thing." She looks back down and continues reading. "You are not asking for an animal, but a force of nature, if you are looking at something that needs doing, it's either too small or it's too big, there is no in between." She read aloud as she studied the diagram. "Show reverence, show care, and beyond all, show your spirit. You are not gaining a companion but are asking for help." Taylor sighs and grumbles, "It's one or the other."

Regardless, she sets down in the circle, taking a deep breath as she brought out a knife and the wood.

Immediately, something felt off, she had trouble breathing, it was like something, or someone was watching her, but she's sure that there's no one. She checked multiple times over, occasionally stopping her drawing to walk over and check.

She gulped, shaking as she brought the knife to the wood and instead ignoring it, looking out into the water as she gulped.

She wants the boat gone.

She wants her home to be how it was when she was younger!

She wants her father to stop avoiding her.

She drags the knife against the wood and all her thoughts seemed to be washed away, her sweat cooling down as she feels like she's under water. Her mind blanking as she releases a deep sigh.

I-I want to be a hero.

It was calm, her hands moving as she seems to be in a trance. Her hands moving as the piece of wood began to take form.

Slowly, more features began to be revealed.

Teeth, fins, and more until finally, after an hour of carving in peace, in her hands is the carving of a shark.

She inspects it, turning it around in front of her as a second later, it seems to be enveloped in a type of blue crystal as Taylor's trance continues.

Finally, the trance ends and Taylor is blinking in shock and disbelief. "What is this?"

She had toruble believing her clumsy hands could make something this complicated without her being aware of it.

Now, how…

She bites her lip, running through possibility after possibility as to how to summon the thing, if its even real, maybe she just has a talent for carving. Yeah!

Throw it.

She jerks around at the whisper, her eyes wide and roaming around as she tries to find out who said it. "Who was that!"

Throw it.

There it was again! She whirls around and only finds the dock staring back at her. She glances down at the crystal in her hand before sighing. "I-I can just make another one. Yeah! I'm not going crazy."

With her resolve set, Taylor reared her arm back.

"Taylor! Taylor where are you!?" A voice spoke, clearly familiar as she spotted a group of flashlights roaming around as she yelped, interrupting her mid-throw and sending the crystal out.

"Shit!" She squeaked out as she tried to find where she threw the crystal and where to hide.

It was too late, she glanced right into Danny Herbert's worry and stormy eyes as the worry in them only increased the guilt she felt. "What are you doing out so late?!"

Taylor, unable to say anything only sunk herself deeper into her hoodie as her father nearly tackled her into a hug. "Thank-thank god. I-I was so worried." He managed through grit teeth as he closed his eyes, leaving her in an awkward position since she's looking behind her father towards a group of Dockworkers she vaguely recognizes and at least three of them have a gun visible on them.

Slowly, she extends her arm and reciprocates the hug from her father. "I-I'm sorry dad."

The two stood there in silence before separating, her father's expression complicated as she stares at the chalk circle. "What...are you doing here? Why are you out at this time?"

She opened her mouth, prepared to not only be fret over but to be teased for believing something a book said only to jump when one of the Dockworkers yells, "What in the everliving fuck is that!"

The daughter-father duo turn, the other dockworkers' jaws going slack as they drop their weapons while Danny and Taylor try to spot what they're talking about.

As people who live in a dock, they recognized it. "Is-Is that a fin?"

It was, towering over at least a few houses, it split the sea at the speed it was going and was made of metal!

Seconds later, it began to shrink, causing the Dockworkers to sigh in relief only for Taylor to gulp.

She could feel it. And it wasn't leaving or escaping.

It was looking for a good position.

"Behind the truck." Taylor mutters, grabbing her father's hand as she pulls it along. "Into the warehouse, get out of the vicinity!" her yells were enough to snap everyone out of their funk as they came to a realization.

This is Brockton Bay, nothing goes right.

So, with this realization, the Dockworkers hauled ass, leaving their guns. "Sweetie, what are you doing?" Danny asks as Taylor pulls him along.

"Getting away from it!" She yells as they enter the opening of the nearest warehouse.

"Tay-." Danny starts.

"Shhh!" Taylor interrupts, her chest tightening as she waits in fear and anticipation.

A second later, the Endbringer sirens went off.

Another second later, the ship blocking the Bay disappeared, bits and pieces falling off in random places above the Dockworkers' Association as the Dockworkers, Taylor, and Danny watch on in shock at the sky, Taylor, gaping, the Dockworkers panicking and Danny fixing his glasses at what they're seeing.

Its a shark. A blue mechanical shark with the ship in its jaws that's floating in the air as if it was swimming. It blotted out the moon as it dropped the remnants of the ship that weren't torn off from its impromptu flight in a clear area of the Dockworkers Association as it began to disappear, becoming motes of blue energy as its eyes connected with Taylor and she couldn't help but smile.

Shit was fucking awesome.

It seemed to communicate what it wants to say easily as she nods in thanks, her eyes showing the reverence and a light in them Danny has rarely seen in them.

Though he did feel the same way, he quietly exhaled under his breath concerning the amount of calls and paperwork he'd have to do. It was going to be troublesome beyond anything, but at least the Dockworkers had jobs now.

Or at least, that's what he would be thinking if his little nerd heart wasn't having a nerdgasm at seeing a mechanical shark fly in the sky!

It was cool! All the dockworkers were the same, their eyes bright and almost childish as they watched the shark dive down into the water and completely disappearing into the water.

There was silence in the ci-no, in all of the New York/New Jersey area as they watched something no one expected.

Watch out Endbringer, humanity wasn't the only thing you pissed off when you decided to mess with the planet.

A/N: So, this one came from nostalgia. I was re-watching Power Ranger clips and finally understood how cool zords are so here it is. I also might do a Solar Knight Taylor(from Mystic Force), cause the train was fucking cool.

Anyway, Taylor is a bit more light-hearted here but that's fine(I think).

Like usual, you can use these ideas if you want, I already heave enough fanfictions to worry about, maybe once I open up commissions in ko-fi I might write them if you guys want it. But for now, it's here if you guys want it. I hope you enjoyed!

Also, I might write a si-oc Jojos x Worm next chapter. Why? because I only write Ocs and si-ocs for stories because I'm a self-indulgent POS with the exception of Taylor.
