Steve slammed the lid of the chest shut. Why does she keep doing this? Steve thought to himself. It was the third time since they'd set up camp here that Alex had rearranged the items in their chests and now he couldn't find any of his stuff. Steve clinched his fists, his anger mounting. He could feel power surging through his body, ready to burst forth at any moment. He took a deep breath to help himself calm down, now was not the time to loose control of his emotions.

The door to their small house opened with a bang, slamming against the wall. Steve jumped back, startled, as Alex waltzed through the open door hold a dead chicken in her bloody hands.

"I caught us breakfast." Said Alex, grinning from ear to ear. It was clear she was trying to impress him.

Steve glanced at the limp chicken, then at Alex's red hands. "Did you kill that chicken with your bare hands?" Steve asked, somewhat disgusted.

"Don't be ridiculous." Started Alex, "Who kills chickens with their bare hands?

"Then what's with all the blood on your hands? Questioned Steve.

"Oh that? Said Alex, "That's from the cow I killed with my bare hands.

Steve just stared, stunned at the words that had just came out of Alex's mouth.

"You do realize that a cow is worse than a chicken right? Said Steve puzzlingly

Alex started laughing hysterically which made Steve even more puzzled.

"I'm just kidding Steve." Said Alex in between laughs. "This isn't blood, it's red dye."

Steve was relieved and exasperated at the same time, anger arousing something within him. He gritted his teeth while trying to calm down.

"What were you using red dye for?" Asked Steve.

"Oh, just a little something." Said Alex with a mischievous glint in her eye.

Steve raised an eyebrow, wondering what Alex had been up too. Alex gestured for Steve to fallow her outside and so he did, but what met his eyes was not anything he could have expected. There, draped over an armor stand was a leather chest plate, still wet, dripping in red dye. Alex grinned, her hand grandly gesturing at the red mess before them. It was clear this was her first time Dyeing armor.

"It looks, nice." Said Steve, trying his best to give a genuine compliment.

"It's for you!" Alex said with excitement in her voice.

"what?" Sputtered Steve, "For me?"

"Yep!" Grinned Alex, "I made it specially for you!"

Steve was touched by Alex's thoughtfulness, but couldn't help but cringe a little and how bad a job she'd done.

"You have to put it on!" Said Alex ecstatically.

"But it's still wet." Said Steve, not really interested in wearing the disaster that was draped before him.

"Please?" Said Alex.

Steve looked into Alex's pleading eyes, he just couldn't say no. Steve reluctantly grabbed the chest plate off the armor stand and started putting it on. It was still a little wet but not as much as Steve had initially thought.

"So, what do you think?" Alex asked.

"It's very red." Said Steve, now wishing to be out of this situation.

"I'm so glad you like it!" Chippered Alex.

But the moment was suddenly interrupted. Steve and Alex froze, a piercing sound echoed throughout the valley. They knew that sound well: A raid. It must be that village we passed earlier. Thought Steve.

"We have to help those villagers!" Alex said, jumping up.

Steve nodded and both ran to grab their weapons. Alex grabbed her bow and arrows as Steve reached for his trusty sword. Both were skilled in fighting pillagers and knew just how to prepare for the coming battle. But unbeknownst to Alex, Steve had a much more powerful weapon, one he would only bring out if things took a turn for the worse.

The village was in chaos. Villagers were running in all directions, bumping into each other trying to get to the safety of their houses. Villager children cried for their parents, animals bellowed from their pens. The sound of metal clashing against metal could be heard as the iron golem bravely fought for It's village. It was into this scene that Alex and Steve came, wielding their weapons as they charged into the fray.

Alex began tackling a vindicater while Steve took on several pillagers. Steve was a good fighter, he slashed back and forth with all the sword skills he possessed. He managed to knock out two of the three pillagers he was fighting when... SPLASH! Steve stepped back, feeling his energy drain. A witch had just doused him with a weakness potion. Enraged, Steve whipped around and with a quick move and thrust his sword through the witch's heart. The witch stuttered, then fell back hitting the ground with a thud, dead.

Steve took a step back, realizing what he had just done. He wasn't usually this violent. But before Steve could finish his thought he felt a sharp pain stab him in the shoulder. The pillager he had turned from to kill the witch had now shot him with an arrow. Steve's rage returned, forgetting about the witch Steve charged at the pillager, knocking them out with a single blow.

Steve looked down at the bloody sight before him. The three pillagers laid, bloody and bruised on the ground. Deep down inside Steve chastised himself. He really didn't want to kill, but what choice did he have? It was ether them or the innocent villagers. Steve pushed his conscience aside, letting his anger rise. This was the time to let it all out. This was the time to fight.

Alex grabbed another arrow from her quiver and took aim. Just one more shot ought to take him out. She said to herself while steadying her bow. The vindicater she'd been fighting hadn't even seen her yet, and it was good thing, for she knew it could take her down in less then three hits. Alex let her fingers go, sending the arrow cutting through the air like a knife across worm butter, hitting its target right between the eyes. The vindicater dropped to the ground lifeless, leaving some valuable loot behind. But Alex had no interest in the valuables and quickly turned to find another foe to fight.

Steve was in the thick of battle. Two pillagers, a vindicater, and an evoker were on his tail, each trying to do away with him in their own way. The pillagers were showering him with arrows while the vindicater was attempting to hack away at him with their axe. Worse still the evoker wouldn't stop summoning vexes and traps. Steve could tell he was in a tight spot. There was no way he could fight them off all at once with his mirror human strength. No, he needed super human power. It was then that Steve knew what he had to do. Closing his eyes he leaned back, feeling the energy coursing through his veins, tapping into the power that lay dormant inside him. No longer suppressing the power that was surging through his body, he let it out. A bolt of lightning shot out of Steve's body and into sky. More electricity fallowed, crackling in the air. The sky began to grow dark, the clouds grew mean and thunderous. The illagers stepped back, stunned by all the bright light. They turned to look at the source of this phenomenon, and what they saw shook them to their core.

Steve stood on the battlefield, showered in a light show like none ever seen before. Energy pulsating from his body as if he was a living Tesla coil. Then, it stoped. The light subsided and the remaining electricity crackled into thin air, leaving Steve, standing with his eyes closed. A deathly silence fell over the area. The illagers looked at each other, wondering what would come next. And they didn't have to wait long.

Steve opened his eyes, but they'd changed. In place of his friendly purple irises there was now a glowing white void, with an expression that screamed, touch me and die. The illagers drew back in fear and horror, for they now realized who this creature before them was; Herobrine, the most elusive and dreaded entity in the entire world, alleged to hold the power of the elements in the palms of his hands. The power he possessed was unfathomable. If Herobrine was here, it meant they were doomed. And they knew it.
