Lost Heaven, 1930. A rainy night blankets the streets of the city as Izuku Midoriya, a young, brilliant-minded but simple taxi driver, searches for passengers to finish his shift. With a heart full of dreams and a strong sense of morality, Izuku has learned to observe the people who get into his taxi, imagining their lives, but he has never crossed paths with danger... until tonight.

An Unexpected Encounter

Tired and ready to go home, Izuku stops his taxi at a corner when, suddenly, two men in suits jump into the back seat. One of them, with a wound on his arm, shouts:

—Drive! They're following us!

Confused, Izuku asks:

—What's going on? Are you hurt?

But before he can get an answer, a gunshot shatters the silence, hitting a nearby pole. Without time to think, Izuku steps on the accelerator, starting a high-speed chase through the streets of Lost Heaven.

The Chase

As the men in the taxi shoot out the back window, Izuku shows an unexpected talent for evading enemy cars. He uses every shortcut and alley he knows as a taxi driver to keep the pursuers at bay. His mind works quickly, analyzing each turn and anticipating the moves of the cars chasing him.

—This kid knows what he's doing! —one of the men shouts, impressed.

Izuku, on the other hand, is filled with fear and adrenaline. He doesn't understand who these men are or why they are being chased, but his sense of responsibility forces him to get them to safety.

A Dangerous Refuge

Finally, Izuku manages to lose the pursuers and stops the taxi in a dark alley behind a bar called Salieri's. The men, grateful, leave him a hefty sum of money, more than he's ever earned in one night.

—Good job, kid. We owe you one. If you ever get in trouble, come here and ask for Salieri.

Before he can respond, the men disappear into the bar. Izuku looks at the money, but his morals stop him. He knows what he just did wasn't entirely right, even though he had no other choice.

The Warning

The next day, as Izuku tries to get back to his normal routine, two thugs working for the Morello family find him. Threatening him with weapons, they demand to know where he took the men from the night before.

With his life in danger, Izuku is forced to go to Salieri's bar for help. There, Don Salieri himself greets him, impressed by how the young taxi driver handled the situation.

—You've got guts, kid —Salieri tells him, with a cold smile—. If you work for me, I'll make sure nobody bothers you again.

Izuku hesitates, but knows he can't turn down the offer. His life has just changed forever.

End of Chapter 1

Izuku's entry into the world of the mafia is marked by morality versus necessity. Will he be able to keep his principles intact, or will the dark world of Lost Heaven consume him?
