A blinding flash of golden light engulfed the two individuals, transporting them to where the Japanese delegation had once stood.

Pina's eyes betrayed her fear, reflecting the weight of her empire's destiny resting upon her shoulders. This was not merely her fate; it was the fate of her entire world.

Even amidst this turmoil, Pina couldn't shake the nagging concern for her own safety. The colossal presence of the Emperor of Mankind had brought her greatest fears to the forefront.

Bozes fared no better. The Emperor's psychic power seemed to freeze her in place, beyond anything she had ever experienced or comprehended.

With sheer determination, Bozes fought to maintain her composure, though every fiber of her being screamed to collapse under the pressure.

"G-Greetings, O' mighty one," Pina stammered, bowing deeply, every gesture dripping with reverence.

Bozes followed suit, her movements rigid with tension.

The Emperor remained silent, his gaze piercing yet inscrutable, sending shivers down their spines.

"I demand your answer, Princess," his voice reverberated through the room, chilling the air.

Startled from her stupor, Pina collected herself, grounding herself in the reality of the moment.

"We, the Saderan Empire, have thrived on Falmart for over 800 years. The Gate... We used it to plunder the riches beyond. It's been our tradition to ensure our nation's prosperity," Pina explained, her voice trembling with the weight of her words. "Since our inception, we've encountered no civilization more advanced than our own. We never anticipated meeting a nation as mighty as yours, Your Majesty."

"It was a foolish and reckless endeavor, Princess," one of the giant golems interjected, its tone devoid of emotion. "Venturing into unknown worlds, risking encountering horrors beyond your empire's capacity to endure. Your reliance on blind superiority and glory is a fatal flaw in your culture."

The golem's words struck deep, laying bare the flaws in Saderan tradition and origin, leaving Pina feeling vulnerable and exposed.

Unable to meet the Emperor's gaze, Pina felt her resolve waver as fear and uncertainty gnawed at her soul, threatening to overwhelm her.

The golem's indictment was the final blow, shattering the illusion of superiority and leaving Pina reeling in the face of the Imperium's might.

"Princess Pina Co Lada, look at me," the Emperor commanded, his voice neutral yet commanding.

Trembling, Pina met his gaze, finding not condemnation but a depth of understanding that surprised her.

"Your country's culture—slavery, blind glory, discrimination against your own kin—is a reflection of our own failings," the Emperor stated, his words shaking Pina to her core.

"Y-Your Highness! Your Imperium is perfect in so many ways, how could you—" Pina began, her disbelief palpable.

"Why do you think that, Princess?" the Emperor interrupted, his tone gentle yet insistent.

"Isn't it obvious, Your Highness? Terra, this golden world, teems with untold riches and treasures. How could your Imperium be anything less than perfect?" Pina replied, though her words rang hollow even to her own ears.

The Emperor's revelation sent shockwaves through Pina's understanding of the universe. If the Imperium had its own flaws, what did that mean for her empire's perceived superiority?

"Your nation owes its existence to my direct involvement, Princess," the Emperor continued, his words sending a ripple of unease through the court.

Caught off guard, Pina struggled to maintain her composure, her fear threatening to consume her.

"If that is your will, we will not intervene, Your Majesty," the Lex Chancellor interjected, breaking the tension with a note of understanding.

The Emperor nodded in acknowledgment, his ageless gaze piercing through Pina's defenses, leaving her feeling exposed and vulnerable.

"Have you ever heard of someone named Romulus?" The Lord of The Imperium inquired.

At the mention of the name, Pina strained to recall its significance. From the moment she was born, she had been steeped in the lore of the Saderan Empire's founding figures.

The Saderan Empire had undergone numerous transformations over the centuries. Once a proud nation that championed the power of its people, it had gradually evolved into its predecessor, the mythical civilization known as Rome, founded by Romulus.

Romulus was a name held sacred, the cornerstone of Saderan myth and legend.

"Yes, Your Highness. Romulus was the revered founder of the Empire from which we are descended," she replied cautiously.

"Indeed. He was the architect of the Roman civilization, a rising beacon among the myriad cultures of Old Earth. Rome boasted unparalleled achievements in art and science, yet it also perpetuated the scourge of slavery, straying far from Romulus's original teachings," the Emperor reflected wistfully.

A heavy silence settled over the room as the weight of the Emperor's words sank in. His initial statement had sparked suspicions among the gathered assembly.

"Your Majesty... What does that imply?" Pina ventured, her mind racing with anxiety and uncertainty.

"Romulus's teachings were intended to guide humanity toward its next stage of evolution. In an era rife with fragmented city-states, he laid the foundations of Roman culture and the first Roman city. Upon his departure, he left behind a legacy of wisdom meant to propel his people toward ascendance. Yet, they strayed far from his intended path," the Emperor explained, his voice tinged with nostalgia.

"Even so, it was all part of my design. Humanity, at that time, was mired in xenophobia and tribalism," he continued, prompting a sense of unease among the listeners.

"Your design, Your Majesty?" Pina inquired, her eyes widening with curiosity.

"Yes. Romulus was but one of the many guises I assumed during my travels across Old Earth," the Emperor declared with conviction.

The revelation elicited shock from the Falmartians and the JSDF alike. Romulus was a figure deeply ingrained in human history, known to all.

"Y-Your Highness. How... How is that possible?" Pina asked incredulously.

"You are aware that I have ruled as the Emperor of Mankind for over 2,000 years. But the truth is far more expansive than you realize, Princess," the Emperor intoned, his eyes aglow with psychic energy.

A golden light enveloped Pina's mind, flooding her with a torrent of memories.

She witnessed a figure cloaked in ancient fur, who laid the groundwork for the first city and civilization, imparting his wisdom to humanity.

Through countless generations, he traversed the lands, sowing the seeds of civilization that blossomed into mighty nations. When the time came, he also served as the harbinger of their downfall.

He wore many masks, guiding humanity toward its destiny, his wake marked by bloodshed and rebirth.

This was the true nature of the Master of Mankind—a being of boundless power and foresight, whose soul was intrinsically linked to humanity.

As the vision faded, Pina was left reeling from the revelation, tears brimming in her eyes.

"The knowledge you have witnessed is commonplace within the Imperium of Man. I understand your culture and the truths of the universe," the Emperor addressed her gently. "The folly born from the seeds I planted eons ago has given rise to a pale imitation of the original idea."

Pina struggled to maintain her composure in the face of such profound revelation. The founder of her culture stood before her, a living testament to her people's heritage.

Her mind raced back to the words of the Ferrous Mind, echoing in her memory.

"The Emperor bears the title of Master of Mankind for a reason, Rory Mercury. You will soon have your answer."

The realization struck her to her core, and Pina buried her face in her hands, overwhelmed by the weight of her emotions.

"Princess," Bozes murmured, concern etched on her features.

The rest of the group looked on, bewildered by the sight of their proud leader succumbing to her own inner turmoil.

"What's happening?" Rory inquired, her brow furrowed in confusion.

"I recall hearing tales of Romulus in my studies," Lelei remarked thoughtfully, stroking her chin.

"So... the Emperor is the founder of Rome. It's... a lot to process. What kind of report do I send back to parliament?" Aizawa mused, rubbing his temples wearily.

Summoning her courage, Pina lifted her head to meet the Emperor's gaze.

"O mighty Emperor of Mankind, why have you shown me this?" she asked, her voice trembling with determination.

"To impart a lesson. A lesson meant for you alone," the Master of Mankind replied gently.

"Me? The only one worthy?" Pina whispered, her mind racing with questions.

A mortal like her, an ordinary woman—someone as insignificant as her—now entrusted with and receiving truths from a figure like the Emperor of Mankind. It was overwhelmingly surreal.

"Nothing holds greater worth than you in this moment," the Emperor's response only deepened the conflict within the Princess.

"Then, what demand does Your Majesty have of my foolish Empire?" Pina's words tasted bitter, her heart weighed down with pain.

"I demand the abolition of slavery without delay, the establishment of an embassy in your capital, and the formation of a free trade pact with us," the Emperor stated, his gaze unwavering.

"Those demands are acceptable, but abolishing slavery... I cannot guarantee it. I lack the necessary authority," Pina admitted regretfully.

"Then you shall assume your father's position," the Emperor's words landed like a thunderbolt.

"What?!" the red-haired Princess exclaimed in shock.

"Your Empire teeters on the brink of collapse. With the loss of much of its military strength, civil war looms, and your brother is poised to instigate it. My demands will only hasten this. Should that time come, I expect you to ascend to the throne of Sadera," the Emperor's tone was cold and final. "Prepare yourself accordingly."

"And if such a moment arrives, how can I secure the throne, Your Highness?" Pina inquired, her eyes glinting with determination.

"Princess Pina!" Bozes interjected, her disapproval palpable.

Pina remained silent, her gaze locked on the Emperor.

"Further negotiations will follow. Until then, prove yourself worthy of my support," the Emperor's voice resonated with authority, demanding a response.

Emotionally drained by the revelation, Pina swallowed hard. The Emperor awaited her answer—a response that would seal her Empire's fate.

"I will consult with my father first. His answer will be conveyed to you, Your Highness," Pina declared firmly, her resolve unwavering.

Bozes couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her lady's words bordered on blasphemy and treason.

"Please, milady," Bozes implored, grasping Pina's hand. "Don't do this. If your father learns of this, he will have your head."

"I am aware of the risks. Do not worry," Pina reassured the blonde knight with a weak smile, turning back to the Emperor and nodding in confirmation.

"So be it," the Emperor rose, his full armor revealed.

"Pina Co Lada, Princess of the Saderan Empire and the 10th in line for the Saderan throne. By my authority as Lord of The Imperium, I appoint you as Primum Praesidium," the declaration resounded through the chamber, imbued with power and authority.

"Primum Praesidium," Pina echoed, stunned by the weight of the title.

The rest of the group exchanged bewildered glances, unfamiliar with the significance of the title. But for the Saderans, it carried ancient weight, a legacy they thought long lost.

"May I ask, Your Highness?" Bozes ventured.

"You have my permission," the Emperor replied with a smile.

"This title, Primum Praesidium. What does that mean?" The female knight questioned, a hint of fear in her voice as she avoided meeting the gaze of the Master of Mankind.

"Primum Praesidium is a title bestowed by the High Lords of Terra or myself. It signifies complete protection granted by us. Typically, those bearing this title are accompanied by one of my Custodes. However, given your status as our adversary, that will not be possible," the Emperor explained.

"If that is the case, Your Majesty, who will protect me?" The red-haired Princess asked, her distress evident. Though unfamiliar with the term Custodes, she understood it referred to a form of guardian.

"You will be guarded by a Solar Guardian and a member of the Ordo Assassin," came the Emperor's response.

Suddenly, Pina grasped the implication of the title. It offered protection from unknown threats but also served as a tool for execution should she stray from their plan.

A perilous gamble indeed.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," Pina bowed deeply. "I accept this title and your kindness humbly."

"Very well. Malcador," the Emperor addressed the hooded man.

"Yes, Your Excellency?" Malcador responded.

"The rest is in your hands, along with the Lex Chancellor," the Emperor resumed his seat, his eyes emanating warmth.

"Of course, milord," Malcador bowed respectfully.

"Leave it to us, Your Highness," the Man of Stone affirmed firmly.

The Emperor nodded, confident in the capabilities of his two most adept bureaucrats. The member of the Golden Order stepped forward, clearing his throat.

"As His Majesty has decreed, Pina Co Lada shall be sanctioned as Primum Praesidium, receiving the highest level of protection from the Imperium," With a wave of the Lex Chancellor's hand, information streamed into the Imperial Palace's Noosphere.

In an instant, a parchment appeared on Pina's podium, inscribed in High Gothic, the formal language of the Imperium. Thanks to her cultural background, she could decipher most of it.

After reading it, Pina could only shudder.

"This... This is too good to be true," she murmured to herself.

"The Imperium of Man is indeed expansionist, but our ultimate goal is integration and the dream of unity," the Lord Commander informed the Princess.

"A unified race, culture, and military—this is His Majesty's vision," the towering robot added with its inhuman tone.

"If integration is achieved, the wonders you have witnessed here will also be within Falmart's grasp," the man in the red robe said, his tone encouraging.

Pina surveyed the room with a glimmer of hope. Perhaps bloodshed could be averted, and this formidable nation could bring unprecedented marvels to Sadera.

"I accept," Pina declared without hesitation.

"Use the needle beside you. Prick your finger and mark it with your blood," the Lord of Laxius Ordo instructed, as a small steel needle materialized next to the parchment.

The red-haired Princess complied, pressing her index finger against the needle. She then placed the blood-stained finger near the wax seal bearing the mark of the twin-headed Aquila. As the blood made its mark, the Emperor of Mankind raised his hand, and a burning sensation tingled on Pina's skin.

"What." Pina winced in pain.

"A Warp Rune. It is a small psychic ward that will connect you with Alexander," said the Emperor, fixing his gaze on the Princess.

"Alexander?"

"That would be me, Princess," a voice suddenly resounded in her head. "My name is AR-103. Ferrous Mind serves as the Imperial Palace's guardian."

"Another iron spirit," Bozes remarked.

"Now, every activity of yours will be directly reported to Alexander. Use your choices wisely, Princess," the golden Emperor advised her.

Pina felt a shiver run down her spine. "O-Of course, Your Highness. I understand."

"Very well," the Emperor smiled, glancing at the rest of the group. "The Lord General has provided you with the schedule. I hope you are prepared for what awaits you."

At this statement, Itami felt excitement fill his lungs, while the other Japanese members felt intrigued by how their histories were recorded in this era.

Lelei held her chin as her mind raced with imagination. She wondered about Prospero. Based on documents she had read from Agral's archives, Prospero was home to the Imperium's warp science and countless psychic innovations.

Tuka could only feel insecurity taking deep root in her mind. The Imperium hated everything from her world. Yet, the High Lords did not seem to hate her. Thus, she held onto hope for what lay ahead.

The Saderans steeled themselves as their next meeting would be with Malcador at a certain historical place.

Meanwhile, Rory tightened her grip on her halberd as her meeting would be with the Emperor privately.

"Therefore, I suspend this meeting according to the schedule," the Emperor proclaimed as his body disappeared into a mote of light.

The Lex Chancellor rose from his seat, raising a golden scepter that denoted his status as Chancellor. "As His Majesty has spoken, I declare this meeting suspended until the end of the Victoria Aurea celebration."

"Victoria Aurea?" Pina inquired.

"It's a victory festival that will be celebrated for a whole week. I hope you can enjoy it," the Lex Chancellor informed them with a smile. "Alexander will guide you to your rooms, as tomorrow will be a great journey for each one of you."

With a flash of golden brilliance, they appeared within a room whose beauty defied description. It was adorned with impossibly crafted ornaments.

The architecture surpassed anything their world could offer. Golden metal and ceramic spanned across the room.

Calling it a room would be an understatement. This place alone was four times the size of the Japanese Diet room.

"This would be your room. If you ever get lost, I've installed a map so you can access it. Don't hesitate to ask me anything, though," the Man of Iron said to them, as a holovid materialized before them, revealing the room's floor plan.

Pina had lived in her personal manor her entire life. Although her manor was not as grand as her brother's, this entire room was the same size as Sadera's Imperial Palace.

"This... Impossible," Itami whispered.

"It's... No way," Kurobayasi added.

"I hope you are enjoying your stay. Food will be delivered soon. I assure you, it will be delicious," said Alexander jovially.
