This chapter's just a copy-paste of the original with a few minor tweaks. I wanted to skip it, but that'll mess up the storyline.
Please note that I do not own Mushoku Tensei or Fate
Please don't bash me too hard in the comments.

P.S. I want to be clear on this. You all may wonder what happened with that jobless NEET who reincarnated into Rudeus in the original timeline.
I'll explain: He was never born. Or the person that would become the NEET was never born. Instead, the soul that would become the NEET was born in a magus family.
So that fatass doesn't exist, but his soul is one and the same.

Zenith learned she was pregnant.

I was going to have a little brother or sister. Our family was growing. Sigh. I hope whoever comes out of her womb doesn't destroy any Greater Rituals I perform.

Leaving that aside, Zenith had been worried about her inability to conceive another child. Yet, just a month later, her cravings shifted, and nausea, vomiting, and a general sense of fatigue became a common reoccurrence. A quick trip to the doctor confirmed that her self-diagnosis was correct.

Our household was abuzz at the announcement.

What will we name the infant?

Do we still have rooms, or do we have to make modifications?

Oh! We can utilize Rudy's old clothes.

The topics were endless. It was a day of bubbling joy and countless smiles. I was honestly quite happy, though I dreaded some aspects of child-rearing.

Please let this child be a girl! I prayed to the gods and Gaia. Never mind, I'll be satisfied if this child doesn't mess up something and blow up my secret workshop. I scribbled in a book as I pondered the possibilities.

"No...this won't do."

Weather-changing bounded fields were a pain. Sylphie was a fair distance away, trying to get the Rune chain she painstakingly came up with to work. I chuckled, seeing her struggle. I suppose I should step in and help. It was the first chain she created, after all.

'Life is good.'

...

'Nope. Life is not good.'

The problems arose about a month later.

Our maid, Lilia, had discovered she was pregnant as well.

"I'm so sorry." She announced matter-of-factly to the family as we sat at the table. "I'm pregnant."

The Greyrats froze in that instant. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

'Who was the father?' I thought.

Everyone wanted to ask that, but it was pretty much blatant. Everyone had realized it on some level, at least. Lilia was our maid. Meaning-unlike Paul, Zenith, or me-she rarely ventured into the village unless it was work-related. There weren't any rumors about her developing a close relationship with anyone. Add on the fact that Paul had been forced to go without sex since Zenith was pregnant. It was apparent who the father was.

Not to mention I literally saw him sneaking into Lilia's room. I might have thought they were playing cards if I was a little kid. Unfortunately, I'm a fifty-year-old sealing designate in a child's body. I knew all too well what they did. It was in an incredibly awkward science lesson back in seventh grade. This world's education system was less developed, sure. But you should still know how a baby is made! Did Paul not even have the self-restraint to pull it out at the last second?!

'Hello, boys and girls! The phrase of the day is 'You can do it!' Today we'll be learning all about the importance of contraception!' Part of me wanted to say that phrase to Paul with a straight face. Another part wanted to flee to my house in the woods, taking Sylphie with me, so I'll have someone to calm me down.

But I wasn't about to rip my whole family apart, so I won't rat him out. I'll even step in and help if necessary. You're welcome, Paul.

Having come to that decision, I looked over at him, letting him know he had nothing to worry about. At the same time, however, Zenith snapped her gaze right over at my father, her shock plain on her face. Conveniently, our gazes fell upon Paul as one, bearing down on him.

"Uh, sorry," he hesitantly blurted. "This child is, uh...probably mine."

Good grief. I should commend the man for being honest. Seeing how he constantly told me to "be honest," "be a real man," and "be sure to protect women," and other random stuff day in and day out. The least he could do was abide by those same principles.

Anyway, this was the worst-case scenario. This statement solidified as I watched Zenith draw herself up to her full height, her face livid, hand rising into the air. And thus, the emergency family meeting began, with Lilia included.

...

Zenith broke the silence first. It was clear she had absolute authority in this meeting.

"So, what are we going to do?"

On the surface, she was calm as a still lake, yet if you weren't careful, that lake's waters would drown you before you could even scream. She contented herself with a single smack that left a bright red hand mark on Paul's face.

"After I've assisted with the lady of the house's birth," Lilia said, "I assume I would take my leave from your home."

She seemed composed, too, unlike the only man of the house. Paul was all huddled up in a corner. He reminded me of myself during the first few weeks of living in my underground bunker. So much for paternal dignity.

"What of the child?" Zenith asked.

"I was thinking I would give birth here in Fittoa and then raise the baby back in my hometown," Lilia replied.

"You're originally from the south, yes?"

"That's right."

"You're going to be physically exhausted after the birth," Zenith stated. "You'll be in no shape to make a long journey."

"Perhaps so, but I have nowhere else to turn."

Lilia was originally from the south of Asura. We are in Fittoa, in the northeastern part of the Asura Kingdom. To reach what was considered "the south" took close to a month, based on my research on maps. And required to switch between multiple stagecoaches. Still, it wouldn't be so bad if the weather was good.

The main issue was, however, there was a flipping blizzard outside. Lilia didn't have any money, either. So she couldn't afford to ride on stagecoaches and would have to go on foot. Even if we paid for her travel expenses, she was still a sitting duck. Even if people said that the Asura Kingdom was the safest nation in the world, that didn't mean it was devoid of evildoers.

And, as Zenith stated, there was also the physical aspect to consider. Even if Lilia did have the stamina to make it, I doubt a newborn child could survive a month of the harsh cold. It's frustrating. If I went with them, they would have both the money and protection they required. I can also clear up this massive snowstorm. But I doubt my parents would let me travel alone. I might have done it multiple times, but they didn't know.

"Dear," Paul started to say, "Surely she could just sta-"

"You keep your mouth shut!" Zenith snapped, cutting him off.

He shrank back like a scolded child. This was an instance where he had no right to speak. Zenith chewed on her nails with a look of concentration. She was conflicted. She didn't want Lilia to suffer; quite the opposite, they were good friends. Well, minus the part about how she was now carrying Paul's child.

If Lilia had gotten pregnant because she was raped in some alley, Zenith would have unquestionably sheltered her and allowed her to-no, she would have insisted she raises the child in our home.

Based on their conversations, I'm guessing abortion isn't easily accessible. Zenith is currently grappling with two opposite emotions: her fondness for Lilia and her feelings of betrayal. Quite incredible of her. If I were in this situation, I would have given in to jealousy. Though Paul was the one who should be taking responsibility here. You couldn't make a baby with only a woman.

I'll help her, I decided.

We didn't do much together, and she hardly talked to me, but she'd always been there, helping me out. Most importantly, she knew about my treasured panties and had kept silent about it. That was a significant mistake on my part.

One day-before I discovered Sylphie was a girl-I was cooped up in my bedroom reading my botanical encyclopedia when Lilia came in and started to clean up. I was so engrossed in my book that I didn't notice her cleaning too close to my secret hiding place on the shelf. Before I knew it, she had my precious panties in her hand. I felt my heart stop at that moment. Then the questioning began.

"What are these?"

"Yeah, what are those? Ahahahahaha." I nervously gripped the cover of my book.

"They smell," Lilia said.

"Y-yead, I think it's maybe like sesame oil or something like that, yeah?"

"Whose are these?"

I hung my head. "I'm sorry...they're Roxy's."

"Shouldn't you have them laundered?" She asked.

"Oh, no! Don't wash them!"

Lilia wordlessly returned my prized panties back to their sacred hiding place. Then, as I quivered in fear, she left the room. That evening, I braced for the inevitable family meeting, yet it never came. I spent the night shuttering fearfully in my bed, but even when morning came, there was nothing.

Lilia didn't rat me out. I need to repay that debt.

...

"Mother?" I need to sound as innocent as possible. "How come everyone's acting so glum about how I'll have two new siblings at once?"

A god gave me this one-in-a-million chance to redo my life. I am not allowing my family to break so easily. They will be stuck with me, and I, with them, as long as I'm alive.

"Because your father and Lilia did something they shouldn't have," Zenith said with a sigh.

Unfathomable rage was mixed in with those words. Thankfully, it wasn't directed at Lilia. Everyone knew who was to blame here. I internally smirked. Good. I could work with this.

"Oh, I see," I said. "But is Lilia allowed to go against Father's wishes?"

"What do you mean by that?" Zenith questioned.

Forgive me, Paul. But I'm not letting this family shatter. Besides, you're the reason we're here in the first place.

"Well, I know Father has some leverage over her."

"What? Is this true?" Zenith asked, looking over at Lilia in surprise.

Lilia was as expressionless as ever, though she did raise a curious eyebrow. Was my assumption on the mark? Nevermind that. There was my opening.

"A while ago, I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and as I passed by Lilia's room, I heard Father say something like, 'If you don't want me to tell anyone, spread your legs!'"

"Huh?!" Paul exclaimed, "Dammit, Rudy, what the hell are-"

"You shut up!" Zenith's piercing shriek cut him off. "Lilia, is this true?"

"Um, so, well, actually..." Lilia's gaze wavered.

"Ah, I see." Zenith seemed to come to an understanding of things. "You can't bring yourself to say it out loud."

Paul's eyes and mouth were opening and closing, yet no sound came out. He looked like a human goldfish. Perfect. Time to wrap this up. Now, for the finishing blow...

"Mother, I don't think Lilia is to blame."

"I suppose not."

"I think Father is to blame."

"I suppose so."

"It isn't right that Lilia is in such a hard position because of something that's Father's fault."

"Mmm. I suppose."

My mother's responses were just a bit more non-comical than I'd hoped. I'll have to push a little further.

"I have fun playing with Sylphie every day, so I think it'll be nice that my little sibling will have someone the same age to be friends with!"

"I...suppose, yes."

"And besides, Mother, they'd both be little brothers or sisters to me!"

"All right, Rudy. I get it. You win." Zenith let out a heavy sigh.

Internally, I let out a sigh of relief. Did you really have to give me such a hard time about it, Mom?

"Lilia, I insist you stay with us," Zenith announced. "You're family at this point! I am not letting you do something as foolish as leaving."

That was the final word on the matter. Paul's eyes went wide, and Lilia brought her hand to her mouth, holding back tears.

...

With all the responsibility laid squarely on Paul, we got through things without further issues.

By the end, Zenith looked at him with the cold dispassion of someone about to slaughter a pig. I shuttered-may god be with you, Father of mine. You might be able to deal with Phantasmal Beasts, but a women's fury is something else.

With that look, Zenith returned to her room. Lilia was crying, her face blank and expressionless, but tears streamed from her eyes. Paul looked conflicted about whether he should put his arms around her.

I sighed. It seems my job still isn't over. I need to make sure they don't get a divorce. That would cause its own torrent of problems. I shuddered. I do not want two parents fighting over custody of me.

I knocked on the bedroom door, and Zenith pocked her head out.

"Mother," I'll cut straight to the chase, "The stuff I said earlier was a lie. Please don't hate Father."

Zenith was taken aback for a moment, but then she grimaced, gently patting my head.

"I know, sweetie. I would never have fallen in love with a man who was that terrible," She said. "You're father's got a weakness for women, so I'd prepared myself for the day something like this might happen. It was just a bit sudden, that's all."

"Father has a weakness for women?" I'll play the ignorant, sweet little boy for as long as I need. My acting is top-notch.

"Yes, not as much in recent times, though. Back in the day, he was indiscriminate. You might have older brothers and sisters out there, Rudy." She was exerting more force with the hand that was ruffling my hair. "Make sure you don't grow up to be someone like that, okay, Rudy?" She rubbed-no, gripped the top of my head.

Why did this remind me of Lord El-melloi II's classes?

"Make sure you treat Sylphie real nice, okay, Rudy?"

"Ah! Ow! Of course, Mother! Th-that hurts!"

This felt similar to when the professor gripped my face for blowing up my table.

I felt reassured-everything would be fine. The blame was all on Paul.

...

Sword practice was exceedingly rough the next day.

"Why!? Why?! Why?!" I was crying into Sylphie's lap while she cast healing on me.

Why did I feel like my bones were all broken? My crying soothed as Sylphie ran her hand through my hair. What did I do to deserve this girl?

Also, damn you! Paul! I saved your family from getting torn apart, didn't I?!

...

Lilia

...

I'll be blunt.

This pregnancy is my own fault. That's because I know I seduced Paul.

I didn't mean for it to happen when I first came. But, after listening to moaning night after night, cleaning after their room that has the full scent of the night's aftermath, I would've accumulated sexual desire.

At first, I settled it myself. But, as I watched Paul train with the sword in the courtyard, an unquenchable fire in my body started growing.

Every time I see Paul train, I think of my first time. I was much younger at that time, and it was during the days in the dojo. Paul snuck into my room at night and forcibly had his way with me. Even though I didn't hate him, I didn't like him either. The first time was far from romantic, and I shed tears at first.

...

The following person who made advances on me was the bald, fat, creepy, perverted minister.

That was when I realized my first time wasn't too bad. It could have been a lot worse. When I heard Paul was looking for a maid, I decided "that time" could be used as leverage.

...

Paul was a much manlier fellow upon our reunion than he'd been back then. The youthful boy disappeared, becoming a man who'd been tempered physically and mentally. I managed to hold on for 6 years in front of such a man.

...

At first, Paul didn't flirt with me. But his occasional sexual harassment added fuel to my fire. I could endure it, though I was aware I was walking on a thin line.

Zenith's pregnancy broke that line. Using Paul's sexual desires as a chance for myself, I seduced him into the room…

So everything was my fault. Pregnancy is my punishment. Punishment for losing to my desires and betraying Zenith.

But I was forgiven.

Rudeus forgave me.

That cunning child understood what happened, guided the flow of the conversation accurately, and even laid down the perfect trap. It was as if he'd encountered something like this before. That's too unsettling-no, I can't talk about him like this anymore.

...

I always found Rudeus to be scary and avoided him in the past.

The boy is smart. He must have noticed that I was avoiding him intentionally.

Despite that, he still saved me. He chose my child and me over his own personal feelings.

He is someone deserving of respect. I owe him my life for what he did-no, even more than that.

When this child is safely born and grown up, I'll make sure they make their way into young Master Rudeus's service.

...

Rudeus

...

Several months passed.

Nothing much really happened. Sylphie seemed to be reaching a wall with her magic studies. Her progress with higher-level Advanced-Rank spells was slow. Perhaps her Mana Pool was too small?

No, that couldn't be it. Maybe it's more challenging to learn higher-rank spells. I've been focusing on other matters more these days, anyway. Like science, Runes, and other things. So that might be it.

My progress wasn't fast, either. My skill with the sword remained relatively unchanged. I'd gotten decent, but hitting Paul was still a long shot.

I've started making the staff for Sylphie. I checked the materials I got were only the best of the best. Do you know how hard it was to get a petrified Elder Treant branch?

That aside, I've been taking Sylphie on more... field trips. I say field trips, but they're more of a monster-hunting expedition. I need to increase her battle senses-that mystery calamity is still fresh on my mind.

While Sylphie wasn't looking, I collected the neurons of the Phantasmal Beasts. In simpler words: I put their brains in a jar. The project "making new circuits so I'll be even more broken" was back! I'll need to see if they can conduct Mana as well. Oh, the possibilities are endless! I could even make artificial Mana Pools!

Lilia's attitude toward me had softened as well. Previously, she'd always been on guard around me-but since I started carving Runes at age one, that was only natural.

While nothing had changed regarding her lack of emotion, I felt her words and mannerisms now born an overwhelming sense of reverence for me. I get that she's happy about my help, but I wished she'd tone it down. If nothing else, ever since that incident, Lilia had begun to talk to me a little-old stories about Paul. They had studied swordsmanship at the same training hall many years back.

She told me he was talented but preferred to goof off. And about how he forced himself on her in the middle of the night and took her virtue. And then he just...bailed. He was a dirtbag.

Still, he wasn't rotten to the core. Though he'd been a childish, irresponsible, and good-for-nothing brat, he tried to be a kind, strict father to me. He wasn't good at that facade, but it's the thought that counts.

I blocked a strike from the previously mentioned brat but ended up on my butt.

"C'mon, look at me," Paul said.

We were in the middle of sword practice.

"Don't you want to grow up to be a cool guy like your dad?"

I sighed. The nerve of this guy!

"Is it cool to be a guy who cheats on his wife and risks tearing his family apart?"

"Ngh..." Paul grimaced.

At the look on his face, I resolved to be a bit more careful. I was supposed to be young and oblivious. I will not cheat on anyone. I'll remain loyal to Sylphie. Forever.

"Look, "I said, "If that bothers you so much to hear, could you please keep your hands off anyone who isn't Mother?"

"O-other than Lilia, right?"

Scum. Had he learned nothing?!

"Next time, Mother might move back with her family."

"Guh."

This was like one of those cringy dating sims where the main character builds himself a retirement home out in the sticks, where he had a beautiful wife, a maid he could get handsy with whenever he wanted, and a son to train in the way of the sword.

Actually, that life doesn't sound too bad. Huh, I might be jealous of this.

"I mean, you're a guy," Paul poked my cheek with a finger, "You know how it is."

I knew what he meant. "The birds and the bees" was a topic I learned twice. That didn't mean I agreed, though.

"What do you expect a six-year-old boy to know?"

"Well, take Sylphie. You're into her, aren't you? She's going to be gorgeous when she grows up."

I couldn't disagree.

"I guess, though I think she's super cute already."

"So you do understand."

"Yeah, yeah."

I have fantasized about our future together more than once. I wonder why romantic feelings haven't fully developed yet. Perhaps this child-like body hadn't begun producing the correct hormones.

"Hehehe..."

I looked to see Paul grinning and chuckling. His gaze wasn't directed at me but instead behind me.

I turned and saw Sylphie standing there. It was rare for her to come to our house. On closer inspection, she was blushing ever so slightly, her hands fidgeting. She must have overheard me.

"Go on, repeat what you just said to her." Paul grinned.

I let out a small snort. He still has a long way to go. Heartfelt words lose their impact if you hear them so often you get used to them. I just flashed a wordless grin and offered her a wave. Besides, Sylphie was a decade too young for that sort of conversation. If I kept reassuring her that she was cute at this tender age, she'd stop being my sweet little Fae and grow up all conceited like those noble families of the Clocktower.

"Um, I mean...I...I think you're cool, too, Rudy." She fidgeted with her butterfly clip.

"Oh, yeah? Thanks, Sylphie." I smiled warmly at her. "Alright, Father. We'll be leaving now." I grabbed Sylphie's hand.

He smirked, looking at our conjoined limbs. "Don't go rolling around in the hay out there, okay?"

Oh, come on! As if I would! This is me we're talking about, not you. And even if I were to do that stuff, I HAVE A FLIPPING HOUSE. Why would I do that kind of thing in scratchy, itchy hay when I have silken beds? Not that I would.

"Mother!" Revenge! Bwahahahaha! "Father is-"

"Gah! No, stop!"

And so, our house was once again peaceful.

...

Zenith gave birth months later.

It was a rough experience-a breech birth. With Lilia gravid as she was, she called for a midwife from the village-an older woman, but even she said the situation was hopeless. That's how bad it was. Luckily, I prepared for the worst. I drew countless Emperor-Rank healing circles.

Were they excessive? Yes.

Did I care? No.

I'll repeat myself: I'm not allowing my family to shatter.

The birth took quite some time, though thanks to the magic circles, there wasn't any danger. It didn't dull the pain, though. All told, our efforts worked, and the birth was a success. The baby came safely into this world, letting out its first healthy cries.

I was relieved.

It wasn't long-lived. Lilia went into labor as well. We were already exhausted, our guards down. "Premature birth" flittered through my mind. This time, however, the midwife was able to play her part. While she might not have been good with breech births, premature births were something she claimed to have experience in. Age really did bring wisdom.

I did as the midwife told, whacking Paul with a projected sword to snap him out of his daze and have him bring Lilia to his room. While he did that, I used magic and magecraft to do everything I could. Water flew into wooden tubs that floated upstairs, paper and pens moving on their own, speeding to draw as many healing circles as possible.

I let the midwife take the lead from there.

Lilia boldly cried out Paul's name the moment the baby was born. He was at her side, dripping with sweetness, clutching her hand. The baby was smaller than Zenith's but still cried just as loudly. This one was a girl as well.

Two daughters. I smiled-at least they won't want to swing around swords and break everything. I hope. Paul chuckled as he mused about how both his daughters were girls. And for the second time that day, I got to see the big, dumb grin of a new parent.

He clearly hadn't considered the consequences. The number of women in our household has now doubled. Who do you think will end up at the bottom of the ladder? It'll be the man who cheated on his wife and almost wrecked his family.

As for myself, I hoped to establish myself as the cool older brother. Paul wasn't getting any respect anytime soon.

Zenith's daughter was named Norn.

Lilia's child was named Aisha.

...

...

I waited for Sylphie nervously the next day.

Her staff was finally finished. I couldn't sleep last night because of the stress, so I used all that pent-up energy to complete my latest project.

"Morning! I heard Mrs. Zenith and Miss Lilia's births went well!"

"Thankfully, yes." I rubbed my eyes. Dark circles were clearly seen on my face.

Sylphie looked worriedly at me. "Are you okay? You look like you didn't sleep all night."

I chuckled. "Because I didn't sleep all night." I forced back a yawn. This wasn't good. I might fall asleep while teaching her.

I grabbed her hand. "Come on, I got you a gift."

"Ooh! What is it?"

"Something I should have given you a long time ago. Let's think of it as a late fifth birthday gift." I intertwined my fingers with hers, "You'll see what it is soon enough."

We materialized in front of my house, butterflies trailing our forms.

"Close your eyes, okay?"

"Why?"

I giggled. "I want it to be a surprise."

Sylphie pouted but did as she was told. I unlocked the front door with a finger snap, grabbing a long object covered in white silk on the far side of the living room. It was light as a feather, thanks to the many enchantments I placed on it.

"Okay, you can open your eyes now." I presented her with the cloth-covered object. "You can reveal what it is yourself."

Sylphie pouted, "What was the point of closing my eyes if I'm uncovering it?"

"It's the thought that counts!" I exclaimed, offended.

Sylphie pulled away the silken cloth. A brown staff displayed itself, its magic stones glinting in the sun. Runes of all kinds glowed a faint blue. The shaft was made of two types of petrified wood-Icefall Treant and Elder Treant twisted together. They split into seven branches, forming a hollow ball-shaped cage where the Magic Stones floated within.

A small ruby rose was embedded at the tip. A sakura flower seemingly made of gold and amethyst acted as the staff's end.

Two Magic Stones hovered in the wooden cage formed by the shaft. The larger one was blue and green with hits of white, while the smaller one was pale silver with a hint of blue. They were two of the highest quality jewels stored in my house. The silver one orbited the blue and green stone. That's where the name of this staff came from.

"I present to you: Type Earth: Planet of Life Within the Void." I handed the item to Sylphie. "A teacher is supposed to make a wand for a student when they master Beginner-Rank magic. Sorry about being late, but I focused on practicality rather than speed."

The rank of a staff depended on the materials used to make it. I can proudly say this staff is at least A level.

"This is...for me?" Sylphie handled the staff as if it would break at the slightest movement.

I laughed, bemused. "You don't have to be so careful with it. It's enchanted to be harder than steel." I pressed her hand tightly to the wood, "It's yours now, so don't worry."

"B-but it's-"

"No buts. I made this for you. So take it, alright?"

Sylphie slowly nodded, her ears wiggling up and down. "Thank you! I'll never let it go!"

I grinned. "No worries. Anything for my little fairy." I pulled a now red-faced Sylphie toward a nearby tree. "Before anything else, you must learn how to use this."

"Don't you just use it to cast spells?" Sylphie gave a confused head tilt.

"For regular staves, yes." I pointed the wooden rod at the tree, "But this isn't a standard staff."

I passed Mana through one of the many magic circles carved into the wood. The ruby rose at the tip of the staff grew until it was twice its original size. The petals then detached, shooting toward the trunk of the tree. They ripped right through the plant without any resistance. I sent Mana through the same circle again, and the flower regrew on the tip. I smirked, looking at Sylphie.

"Understand now?"

Lethal flowers. Good choice, me.

The two flowers on the top and end of the staff were, in reality, made of Mana, their petals sharper than blades. A magic circle under each of them gave them form. When Mana is passed through them, the petals would detach and home toward the enemy. The flowers regenerate after passing Mana through the magic circles again.

Sylphie dumbly nodded. "How many more tricks do you have, Rudy?"

"Hahaha! Good question. Too bad you'll never know~."

Her cheeks puffed up. "Hmpf!"

"Aw, don't be like that. Look, here's another magic trick."

I passed Mana through another magic circle. The staff began shrinking. It got smaller and smaller until it was just slightly bigger than my wand. I handed the now-wand to Sylphie for her to inspect.

The wand form wasn't much different. The only change was the two flowers, now reduced to colorful buds. Needless to say-you can't fire them in this state.

"See? Now you can hide it from bad guys."

She waved it around. "It's light." She commented.

"Another enchantment." I began pulling her toward my house. "There's still a lot more, so this will be today's lesson. 'How to master your staff 101.'"

I fell asleep halfway through the lesson.
