Ryoma decided to take Sakuno to the arcade. As they entered the brightly lit arcade, Sakuno's eyes widened in amazement at the array of flashing lights and sounds emanating from the various game machines. The arcade was bustling with people of all ages, each engrossed in their own game. Ryoma could see the excitement in Sakuno's eyes and knew that he had made the right choice in bringing her here.
Ryoma led Sakuno towards the claw machine, where they both eagerly tried their luck at grabbing a prized toy. After a few failed attempts, Ryoma finally managed to snag a cute little stuffed animal for Sakuno. She squealed with delight and hugged the toy close to her chest, thanking Ryoma for his skillful win.
After their success at the claw machine, Ryoma suggested they try out some of the other games in the arcade. Sakuno eagerly agreed, and they made their way to the car drift game. Ryoma and Sakuno jumped into the driver's seat of the virtual car, racing against each other. Ryoma proved to be a natural at the car drift game, much to Sakuno's surprise. He expertly maneuvered the car around tight corners and sped past his opponents with ease. Sakuno found herself struggling to keep up with him, but she couldn't help but admire his skill and determination.
As they moved on to the shooting games, Ryoma and Sakuno worked together as a team to take down wave after wave of virtual enemies. Sakuno's accuracy and quick reflexes impressed Ryoma.
Next, they made their way to the tennis arcade game, where Ryoma and Sakuno couldn't help but chuckle as he reminisced about the time he had accidentally broken one of the numbers on the machine during their middle school days, causing them to hastily run away.
The memories of their mischievous antics brought a nostalgic smile to her face. Ryoma then handed her the tennis racket, letting her take a swing at the tennis ball. To their surprise, Sakuno managed to hit the ball right at the same number for a few times.
After playing several more games, Ryoma and Sakuno decided to take a break and grab a snack from the arcade's concession stand.
Ryoma then suggested they visit the Miura Shrine, a peaceful oasis nestled in the heart of the bustling city. As they strolled through the serene grounds, Sakuno couldn't help but feel a sense of tranquility wash over her.
When they saw the fortune papers, Ryoma teased Sakuno for picking out too many fortune papers for him before, causing her cheeks to flush with embarrassment. She shyly hit him on the arm, which made Ryoma chuckle.
Ryoma then told Sakuno to choose a few fortune papers for herself, insisting on paying for them himself. As she carefully selected the papers, Ryoma watched with a gentle smile, his eyes filled with admiration for the girl.
When Sakuno unfolded the last paper, her eyes widened in surprise as she read the words "Best Luck" written after a few attempts. She couldn't contain her joy as she turned to Ryoma, a radiant smile lighting up her face.
Ryoma didn't know why, but his heart swelled with happiness each time he saw Sakuno so overjoyed.
"Did you still remember what you said to me, good things will eventually come at the end. Just like how you've always comforted me before, I hope you can feel relieve too with this words." He said and looked away to hide his embarrassment. "You don't have to worry because I will be in the tournament with you." He continued.
Sakuno's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she nodded. Her heart beat fast when Ryoma still remembered their memories from junior high.
After a long day of exploring the ancient shrine, Ryoma and Sakuno walked together, their footsteps echoing softly in the peaceful surroundings.
"Oh no, it looks like it's going to rain soon." Sakuno looked at the gloomy sky.
"Yeah, we better hurry," said Ryoma.
They tried to walk fast to avoid the rain, but not far from Sakuno's house, the rain poured heavily. Ryoma quickly took off his jacket and draped it over both of them, shielding Sakuno from the worst of the rain. They picked up their pace, trying to make it back to Sakuno's house before they got completely soaked. But despite their efforts, by the time they arrived, both of them were still slightly wet.
Sakuno quickly opened the door and called out that they were back, prompting her grandma, Sumire, to come and see what was going on. Sumire invited them inside, insisting that they dry off and change into dry clothes.
As the rain continued to pour outside, Ryoma and Sakuno changed into dry clothes after getting caught in the unexpected downpour. Meanwhile, Sumire busied herself in the kitchen, preparing hot tea and setting out some snacks for all of them in the living room.
Once they were all settled on the couch with steaming cups of tea in hand, the sound of rain tapping on the windows created a peaceful ambiance within the cozy room.
After a few moments of comfortable silence, Sumire suggested they go to their respective rooms to rest for the evening. Sakuno thanked Ryoma for the day with a smile before disappearing into her room.
Alone in her room, Sakuno picked up the plush toy Ryoma had won for her earlier from the claw machine. She hugged it tightly, feeling a warm sense of gratitude towards him. She looked outside, the rain continued to fall, a steady rhythm that seemed to punctuate the quiet moments. She found solace in the sound of the rain and in the comfort of familiar company.
Meanwhile, Ryoma found himself gazing out the window in his room, watching raindrops slide down the glass pane. The sound of rain drumming against the roof was strangely soothing, and he felt a sense of peace wash over him.
