Last time: (TK) Once Ken got better the group decided to rally up some digimon friends. We found some in a few areas and split up into three groups. Willis' group and Takuya's group had luck, Ken's group didn't. Willis' group located a digiport to send them where they needed to be. Henry contacted his father for the arc to bring them home. While waiting the rest of the group got into a weird conversation on became digidestines. Next stop the train station.
Summary: The team runs into trouble while at the train station while heading to Shibuya.
~West Shinjuku Bakery~
"Man I'm hungry." Michael said as the kids entered Takato's bakery.
"Ok let's get a quick bight to eat and head off to the train station." Takato announced.
"Sounds like a good plan." Willis said.
"So where do we begin?" Takua asked looking around.
"Not sure." Kouji answered.
"Only problem is we don't have money to buy the food." Kouichi said.
"That's true we can't steel anything." Kari said.
"Don't worry about it. My family owns the place." Takato said.
"You sure?" Kari asked.
"Don't worry we do it all the time just ask Henry." Takato said.
"Once when we were hiding from the D-Reaper." Henry responded.
"Not helping." Takato answered back.
"Yeah you usually make us pay." Ryo said.
"No one asked you." Takato said quickly. Kari left the boy and walked over to Henry.
"He usually takes day old bread to Guilmon." Henry said.
"Yolei's parents own a convient store down the street from her apartment, and her parents usually gets mad when she takes food for the digimon." Kari said.
"Does she pay?" Henry asked.
"No that's what usually ticks them off." Kari explained.
"Yeah we're usually paying customers here." Henry said.
"Expect that time you were hiding from the D-Reaper?" Kari asked.
"Well one the town was evacuated except for us and Hypnosis, and two we had to make our own bread." Henry answered. He looked up and thought of an idea.
"Hey Takato why do we make our own bread." Henry shouted across the store grabbing everyone's attention. The others ran over to where Kari and Henry were standing. "Whoah quiet." Takato said.
"That's a good idea should we do it?" Ken said.
"We should." Takuya said.
"Do we even have the time to do it?" Kouji asked.
"Sure we do, you need to lighten up." Takuya said.
"Hey I'm focusing on the mission." Kouji snapped back.
"Think of it as a break, we deserve it." Takuya said.
"We do deserve a little down time." Kouichi said.
"It'll be fun, plus I think the digimon deserve some food." Kari said.
"Alright fine but we cook make the bread, eat and clean up and leave." Kouji said realising he was out numbered. Everyone cheered with excitement. Takato led the group to the back room and gave everyone a hair net and apron. Then he grabbed the ingredients and showed everyone how to make the doe. Once the doe was made everyone started shaping it into the bread they want. When everyone was done, they placed it on a cookie sheet and Takato popped them in the oven.
"Now we have to wait." Takato said.
"Grealt let's start cleaning then." Kari suggested.
"Everyone nodded in agreement. When the cleaning was done, they still had to wait for the bread to finish.
"How many more minutes?" Takuya asked.
"About ten." Takato answered looking at the timer.
"Well we cleaned up the area, so all we need to do is wait." Henry said.
"Great that'll be fun." Ryo said.
"Hey Kouichi you never told us how you became a digidestine." Takato said.
"Not again." Takuya moaned.
"What? He said he would later." Takato said.
"Yeah when he's ready." Kouji said.
"And right now I don't think he's ready." Ken said.
"So are you ready Kouichi?" Takato asked.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'll tell you guys." Kouichi answered.
"You sure?" Kari said.
"Not really but if Ken is going everyone what he did in the past, then so can I." Kouichi said. Everyone turned their heads towards Ken.
"Ken?" Kari said.
"Alright I'll tell." Ken said.
"Sweet." Takato said. Ken took a deep breath and started explaining things.
"A few years ago when my brother was alive, we found a digivice. He kept it away from me and told me not to touch it, even though I did. He was so perfect that my parents loved him. Everyone loved him. He was the perfect child. I was mad and jealouse, that one day I wished he would disappear. Then one day it happened. He was hit by a car and died." Ken started before being cut off.
"Ken you can't blame yourself for his death." Kari said.
"But.." Ken said.
"She's right you were young. You probably didn't mean it." Takuya said.
"Yeah Suzie says things that she doesn't mean." Henry said.
"I've done it to Tai when I was little." Kari said.
"Yeah who hasn't yelled at their syblings before." Kouji said.
"Alright fine can I continue?" Ken asked.
"Go ahead." Takuya said.
"Thank You. Anyways I started changing. I became the person my parents wanted me to be." Ken said.
"The smart genius" Takato said.
"Exactly, I even took the digivice that Sam hid and used it to go to the digital world." Ken continued.
"Wait the digivice belonged to Sam and you took it from him?" Takuya asked confused.
"No the digivice was meant for me, but Sam kept it not knowing what it was and believing it was his. Anyways, when I went to the digital world I met Ryo, and wormon. We were attacked by Melliniumon. He sent out dark spores. One almost hit Ryo but I pushed him out of the way and was hit instead. After that I slowly became the Digimon Emperor. I hunted digimon, captured them, put dark rings to control them, and turned them into my slaves as well as killing them. I fought the digidestines who tried to stop me and show me what I was doing wrong. I turned Tai's partner against him, but he managed to break free. Then I sort of lost control and created a digimon then destroyed everything in its path. I lost control of him and didn't realize what I did Wormon helped the digidestines defeat the digimon. Wormon sacrafised himself to help the others and then I ended up realizing what I had done." Ken said finishing the story.
"But since then you have gained our trust and helped us. You've come along way Ken, and we wouldn't have made it this far without you." Kari said.
"She's right you did come along way." Kouji said.
"Kind of like Kouichi." Takuya said. Kouji nodded in agreement.
"What happened?" Michael asked.
"You don't have to tell us yet if you don't want to." Henry said.
"Thanks." Kouichi said.
"So is the bread ready yet?" Takuya asked.
"It should be. Ken's story took about ten minutes to tell." Willis said.
"That's because there were interruptions." Ken said.
"I didn't mean it as a bad thing." Willis said.
"I know." Ken said.
"Hey at least it kept us occupied while we were waiting for the bread to be done." Kouji said.
"Is it ready yet?" Willis asked.
"Yeah I'm getting hungry." Kari said.
"Me too." Michael said.
"Relax they're done." Takato said pulling them out of the oven.
"Wow they look good." Kari said.
"They smell good." Ken said.
"Have any butter?" Michael asked.
"yeah I could use some on mine." Takuya said in agreement.
"Yeah I have some." Takato said pulling out the butter.
"Thanks." Michael said taking the butter and knife and spreading some on his bread. Everyone ate their bread quickly and was soon done.
"That was good." Gatomon said.
"Me too." Willis said.
"Guess it's time to clean up and move on." Michael said.
"Yep." Willis said getting up. Everyone quickly started cleaning.
"There done." Takato said after a quick clean.
"Cool, let's get going." Ryo said.
"I just need to tell my parents we're leaving first." Takato said then walked out of the kitchen.
"Ok I'm ready." He said coming back in the kitchen a few minutes later.
"What did they say?" Kari asked.
"They're ok, just glad I came home for a quick visit." Takato said.
"Well that's good." Kari said.
"Alright then let's continue our mission." Kouji said. THe kids left through the back door of the bakery and made their way to the train station.
