I know, a second chapter already? But I couldn't help myself. I knew that I wanted to have this story told as soon as possible, and I think this might be a big difference in terms of how I usually write my stories. In past stories I did involving other fandoms, there were a few things I hinted at, but never went through with it. Well, this time, I think I have a decent idea, so let's get this show on the road! Anyway, enjoy!

About eight years have passed since the promise had been made, and sure enough, Shaggy and Daphne were almost inseparable from each other... as friends, of course. As a matter of fact, even the Scooby Doo Detective Agency stuck with each other as they aged up and matured eventually... with Shaggy and Scooby remaining just as themselves as they've ever been, Fred taking his position as leader a little more seriously and not buying into conspiracy theories... as much as he did. Even Velma, still the bookworm she is, was a little more outgoing and friendlier than the shy girl that stepped up at the moment of truth. But Daphne was the one who went through the most changes. Sure, she still had a sassy side to her, but she was more open and more friendlier, she wasn't as into fashion, but still found time to apply makeup from time to time. Even when Shaggy first found the Mystery Machine and gave it to Fred, proclaiming it as his van, and when all of them were old enough to drive, the five of them went around and started solving mysteries together, always investigating interesting monsters and unmasking them in the end. Basically, a lather, rinse, repeat scenario that went on for at least a couple of years.

And throughout those years, Shaggy and Daphne were always visiting each other in private, and always doing something together, whether it be driving around together in any towns they were in, or hanging out together at the malt shop in Coolsville whenever they were home, it was quite the fun times. They even had Scooby involved, the only person who knew about Shaggy and Daphne's private times together. Even though both of them say they weren't dating, from one close look at their smiles and often flirtaetious talks with each other, it had become pretty clear. And yet, things had not changed between the two in the slightest.

However, that was all going to change in one fateful week...

It was a nice, summer day in Coolsville, around the end of June. And inside a small van driving up to a hill where the Blake mansion was was none other than the young smart woman in her orange sweater and red skirt, Velma Dinkley. Normally, the smart girl wouldn't think of doing a spa day, but Daphne insisted on having the two of them together relaxing, since Fred was out at a camp, and Shaggy and Scooby were visiting his sister up in Plymouth, Massachusetts with his parents to have a Rogers family reunion, so the boys wouldn't be back for quite a while.

Still, Velma was okay with talking with Daphne and hanging out with her, if it meant getting out of her comfort zone. Besides, it did her no good just sitting around and reading. Plus, she hadn't heard from Daphne in a week, so she figured it was around time she investigated the Blake manor to see what was going on.

The auburn haired woman went up to the mansion and knocked on the door. She patiently waited and waited until the door opened up as one of Daphne's loyal butlers opened the door.

"Ah, Miss Dinkley. To what may I owe the pleasure of this visit?" The butler said as he gave a nod towards the woman.

"Hello, Jenkins. I'm here to pick up Daphne. Is she here?" Velma asked, looking rather curious.

Jenkins gave a bow as he motioned her towards the staircase. "Miss Blake should be up in her bedroom, but I'd be cautious. She's been a little... unwell."

This caused Velma to raise an eyebrow. "Unwell?"

The girl couldn't help but frown in suspicion as she heard the butler continue, "Yes, she's been throwing up a little bit each morning, and it has been rather concerning. She does feel fine in the afternoon, but it's early in the morning she experiences this... sickness."

Velma paused briefly as she looked upstairs, her curious mind yearning her to investigate...

Daphne groaned as she held her stomach, bending down and throwing up in the bathroom toilet. Once she had finished purging the strange, non-existent food in her stomach, she groaned as she lifted her head, feeling lightheaded. She just couldn't understand what was up with her for the past few mornings. It was, what, the seventh time this week she vomited? She couldn't even keep track, but this strange sickness was starting to scare her. What if it was a new virus? No, she would have heard something in the news... was it a brand new one? Did one of the creepy masked guys that she caught somehow inflict a virus on her? So many questions rushed through Daphne's mind, yet she couldn't find a reasonable answer for one of them. Still, she only found herself feeling pale during the morning, and feeling a little unwell in the mornings and evenings as well. Even the way she slept felt uncomfortable for her as she couldn't find a good way to go to sleep.

And even her upper chest was hurting slightly... even now, she felt her chest hurting as she rubbed her chest hard. She bit her lip hard as she held her head. She couldn't do much if she was feeling sick... what if her parents found out? Her butlers? Her friends?

The girl gave a small groan as if on cue, she heard the sound of footsteps and a very familiar voice. "Daphne? Are you up here?"

Daphne yelped as she lifted her head up slightly. "Velma? What is it?"

"I'm here for the spa day? You said we'd be going for one?" Velma's voice called out.

Daphne gave another yelp as she bit her lip. "Oh, was-was that today? Velma, I'm sorry, but... I don't think I can do a spa day today? I'm not feeling very well, you see, I... I wouldn't want you to cat-"

It was right at this moment when she heard the door opening. Daphne gave a small scream to see Velma standing on the side of the door. "V-Velma! Don't do that! I'm hurt enough as it is!"

Velma paused slightly as she examined Daphne's body, before looking around at the toilet, then towards Daphne's body, before looking at her chest specifically. "Daphne, how long have you been vomiting?"

"Vo-vomiting? I- er- well-" Daphne stammered a bit as she looked over at Velma's face, as the smart girl raised an inquisitive eyebrow. After a moment, Daphne groaned. "Nothing gets past you, does it?"

Velma gave a warm smile towards her friend. "Let's just say I'm concerned for my best friend. Plus, your butlers have noticed you going to the bathroom each morning for a week straight. And jinkies, you look very pale."

"Pale doesn't even begin to..." Daphne groaned as she held her chest.

"Tell me, have you been to the doctor yet?" Velma asked in concern.

The red haired girl looked up to her friend and shook her head. Velma paused slightly, before holding out her head. "Come on, then, Daphne. Let me drive you to the doctor and we'll see what the problem is..."

"O-okay..." Daphne groaned as she weakly took Velma's hand, as Velma led Daphne out the bathroom door and right towards the outside of the Blake mansion. Daphne took a deep breath as she looked down, hopefully, this was something the doctor could easily help her with...

About a couple of hours later, Daphne and Velma were sitting in the doctor's room, as she had to go through a few tests, including asking questions and answering them honestly, the two were waiting as Daphne put her hands together, looking rarther nervously. Velma could only look up at her friend with concern. The young red haired woman was shaking nervously before biting her lip. Velma could only hold Daphne's hand as she tried to calm her friend's jitters. "I'm sure that things are going to be just fine..."

"Even with these strange cravings I've been having... I mean, is it weird that I want a chocolate pepperoni pizza with marshmallow sauce and a side of corn?" Daphne bit her lip.

Velma blinked twice as she felt another piece of the puzzle was added. "I'd say that'd be more of a Shaggy craving than a you craving."

"I realize that, but now I kinda want to eat that. It doesn't sound good, but I want it. Is it also weird I'm craving tomatoes and sour cream?" Daphne said. "I don't know why..."

Velma looked over at Daphne in concern as she heard the door come in, the female doctor walking in with a small stick.

"There's just one final part of the test I'd like you to do." The female doctor said as she handed Daphne the stick.

"What's this for?" Daphne asked.

"From what you've answered me of your questions, there is a lot of possibilities that came to mind, but there is one particular thing of note that might explain all the symptoms you're experiencing as of late." The doctor explained. "What you're holding is a pregnancy test. Just go to the bathroom and follow the instructions on the box I gave you."

"Pregnancy test?" Daphne asked, before her eyes widened. "Wait, this can't be... are you sure tha-"

"We won't know for certain. If that test says differently, we'll keep you overnight. Otherwise, it may unleash some answers." The female doctor noted.

Daphne paused nervously before turning to Velma, who gave a small, assuring smile. The young red haired woman took a deep breath before going into the bathroom. As soon as she was sure Daphne had left the room, Velma gave a groan. "All the clues were there from the start, and yet I really needed a second confirmation for sure."

"Oh?" The female doctor asked. "So, you believe she might be..."

Velma nodded. "I've read a lot of books in my spare time, so knowing the symptoms helped a lot. Plus, health class really paid off. But sheesh... I should have known these two would do better than that..."

"Those two?" The female doctor asked.

Velma sighed. "The only time I know of was of a couple weeks ago, my friends and I were on a mystery to solve a menacing scarecrow lurking around a farm not far from Coolsville. Daphne got captured, as always, and our friend, Shaggy, had somehow separated from the group at one point. We tried to search for them, in hopes that the monster didn't get them... until we heard Shaggy shouting, multiple times. We followed the sound of the shouting, and we found Shaggy and Daphne, both trapped in a tight shed. Their behavior started acting a bit different though, since we discovered them. I had my suspicions at the time, but I didn't want to follow through on that. I knew they'd talk when they were ready..."

The doctor raised an eyebrow. "What exactly was off about them?"

Before Velma could answer, a loud shout was heard coming from the bathroom, causing the female doctor and Velma to turn. Velma winced a bit hearing the shout. "Oh boy..."

Inside the restroom, Daphne was staring at the test in shock. She still couldn't comprehend it, and yet, there it was, square in the face. Staring at her like two menacing eyes.

On the tip of the test was a visible pink plus sign. Daphne stared speechless as she held the test before her.

"...I'm pregnant..." Daphne said in a monotone voice.

She stared in the mirror as she looked at her reflection, her mind repeating what she said verbally. "I'm pregnant..."

Her mind reeled back to a few weeks ago, before the summer began...

And this chapter is done and complete! How did you guys like it? Yeah, I wanted to try something new that I never tried in my fics before and figured, 'why not have one of my favorite couples go through the manners of pregnancy and having a kid'? Maybe this'll be some new territory I haven't tried. I mean, yes, I have done a fake pregnancy before in an earlier story, but never a real one. And why not have this with Shaggy x Daphne as the main pair? After all, I think it'd be fun writing for the two going through the pregnancy cycles, and... well, for me, like I said, it would be something new to experiment on. But tell me what you guys think!

In the next chapter, we'll be exploring the backstory on how Shaggy and Daphne met up at this possible moment in more detail... or, well, as far as a T ratiing can take it, since I don't want to change the rating to an M. But as mentioned, that's for next time! Anyway, read, review, criticize and suggest, everyone!
