Okay, this is it, the big chapter, the one I'm sure everybody's waiting for! Let's get this show on the road! Anyway, enjoy!

In the late evening, Daphne was laying atop her bed, laying down as a lot had swirled in her mind... the fact that she was pregnant still felt very surreal to her. She was so thankful to have Velma by her side to support her as the two talked with the doctor about what to do. Of course, Daphne told the others she'd hold off on any decision making until Shaggy came home... and there she was. Laying down with eyes wide open as she was drumming her fingers impatiently. Still, she firmly rubbed her stomach, being careful with her hands.

She paused as she looked over towards the framed picture of her and the gang hanging out together, with Scooby and Shaggy giving each other bunny ears, and Fred standing in the center of the picture, giving a small smile. Daphne and Velma were seated nearby as they were both staring and giving similar smiles. Daphne paused slightly as she looked towards Shaggy's picture and sighed. "How do I tell him?"

She sighed as she stared at the grinning, playful face of Shaggy in the picture as she gave a sigh. It was true, for as long as she could remember, she had a small, little tiny crush on Shaggy that only grew as the two of them grew up. Sure, Shaggy still acted a bit childish at times, but underneath that, she saw what a nice man he was, always having fun, treating her and others with due respect, and making sure that things were always okay, despite the times of cowardice that gets shown on his face. She sighed happily as a blush fell on her face, almost forgetting the reason why she was looking at the picture.

Then she looked down at her stomach as images of her and Shaggy from weeks ago played in her mind, as a nervous tremor hit her mind. She sighed sadly and in worry as she was worried about Shaggy's reactions. "He needs to know... but what would his reactions be? Would he think he'd be solely responsible? I don't want to peer pressure him to staying... and yet, I feel like the baby growing inside... he or she... jeepers, my mind is swirling with emotions..."

Daphne mulled it around in her head, wondering how to approach Shaggy with the news as several practice speeches came in. "Hey Shaggy, remember that time in the shed? Well, you impregnated me... no, that won't work. Shaggy, I have a baby in my belly, and it belongs to... no, that won't do at all. Hey, stud, feel my belly." She frowned at that last thought. "Okay, that sounds all sorts of wrong. I am NOT saying THAT."

Daphne groaned as she held her head, pinching it a bit as she looked down, feeling a little emotional. "Oh, what am I going to do...?"

For that moment, she looked out the window to the mansion to try to survey the night scenery and try to get a grip on herself, trying to think up plenty of things to say, when she noticed headlights going up to the top of a hill... headlights that belonged to a car... and not just any car. It was... her red van.

Daphne gasped as she backed away for a moment. "Shaggy's home already! I didn't think he'd... he'd..."

After a moment, Daphne took a deep breath as she shook her head. "No, I can't be acting all panicky. I've got to talk to him. He needs to know..."

Daphne paused briefly as she calmly sat down at her dresser table as she looked over the mirror, examining herself to make sure she wasn't a mess. She quickly picked up her hairbrush and started to brush up her hair, trying to make herself at least presentable when Jenkins opened the door.

"Miss Blake, Mister Rogers is here to see you." Jenkins said.

"Send him right up... but tell him that... Scooby will have to stay downstairs... at least, until I'm ready for him. I just want to see Shaggy for now." Daphne chuckled nervously.

"Very good, Miss Blake." Jenkins gave a soft nod before exiting out of the room as the orange haired girl patiently waited for the lanky man. About two to three minutes later, the young man came up, his face looking rather awkward, but still friendly all the same.

"Like, hey, Daphne. Scoob and I are back from our family reunion." Shaggy smiled.

Daphne paused as she gave a smile of her own. "So I see... what are you doing back so early? Did the family reunion not go well?"

"Oh, uh, no, it actually went perfectly. Maddie says hi, by the way." Shaggy said. "It's just, I came back early because there was something I wanted to say to... well, like, a certain someone."

"Oh?" Daphne raised an eyebrow.

Shaggy bit his lip nervously as he walked over and sat down next to her in a spare chair next to the dresser. Shaggy paused slightly as he bit his lip. "Uh... well... Daphne, do you remember what happened that night on the shed about a couple weeks ago?"

Daphne paused as she looked at him in surprise, but nodded. "It was... uh... hard NOT to forget..."

"Y-yeah..." Shaggy gulped as he rubbed the back of his head nervously. "I... want to talk about what happened that night... actually."

Shaggy looked a bit nervous, as if expecting Daphne to react by saying "Don't worry about it." or "It was a heat of the moment..." but to his surprise, the orange haired girl remained a bit calm, a little eerily calm. Still, she motioned for him to continue.

The man nodded as he continued his speech, "Like, you know how long we've been good friends... since childhood. And we've been pretty inseperable for a long time. Even when it wasn't with Scooby, Fred or Velma, we had a friendship that, like, stuck. I mean, you're one of the more popular girls outside of us, with fashionable tips and good dresses, and meanwhile, I'm known as the guy with the dog and the large appetite that yelps at every paranormal thing, even if it wasn't real..."

"But it felt real in your heart." Daphne said, giving a light chuckle.

"Like, yeah... and back then, I always saw you and me as good friends. Friends that hang out, friends that share a good malt from time to time, even ones that investigate and solve mysteries, even if a certain someone... well, me... says that maybe it should be left unsolved." Shaggy explained. "But... then that night happened, and... my mind has been focused on nothing but you, you and you."

Daphne looked surprised as Shaggy continued, "At first, I thought it was just a little thing, but... when I left for the family reunion, my mind couldn't stop thinking about you, your smiling face and the way you laugh, the way you say Jeepers, the way you walk and talk..." Shaggy groaned as he held his head. "Like, what I'm trying to say is that... I think... no, I KNOW that I'm in love with you, Daphne Blake."

Daphne's eyes widened like beach balls as she felt her heart beginning to race faster, upon hearing Shaggy declare this confession. "You... you love me?"

Shaggy gulped as he held his head. "I know, I know, it's shocking. Like, I know you probably will never feel the same way, but..."

"Not feel the same way?" Daphne said in confusion, before a small smile lit up on her face as she took his hand, surprising him. "Shaggy, you doof. Do you really think I wouldn't have some type of small affection for you?"

Shaggy looked at Daphne a little confused, before raising his eyebrow in realization, understanding what Daphne was trying to tell him. "Then... do you..."

Daphne giggled as she squeezed his hand tightly. Shaggy blinked in shock as he gave a smile. "Like, for how long?"

"Well... I liked you ever since we were kids, but you were always so... unattentive, I decided to give you some time. And I figured you and I would make good friends, and I figured that's what you wanted." Daphne explained.

"It's just... I always thought that you had eyes for Fred... I mean, you and he get along as well." Shaggy pointed out.

Daphne laughed a bit. "Yes, Fred's a good guy, and he has grown from his past as a conspiracy chaser, but he's not the one I actually love. It's you, Shaggy. It's always been you."

Shaggy paused quietly before giving a smile. "Oh, Daphne... does this mean, like... well, I mean... would you be willing to be my..." The green wearing man held his head and groaned. "Like, sorry, I'm not quite good at romancing... I..."

Daphne giggled a bit as she put a gentle hand on Shaggy's face. "Deep down, Shaggy, I think you do have a good way with women. You just never realized it."

Shaggy and Daphne stared into each other's eyes as they smiled as Shaggy leaned closer and put his lips atop of Daphne's, giving her a soft, but chaste kiss. Daphne closed her eyes happily as she kissed him back, the two of them holding each other in their arms. To the both of them, it was natural and right, kissing as if they were made for each other. After a minute, the two separated as they looked at each other with love in their eyes.

"Oh, Shaggy... I guess you are a good kisser as much as you are a good lover..." Daphne giggled... before pausing briefly as a small bit of realization kicked in as she let go of Shaggy, looking a little worried. "That just makes me worry about how you'll handle the news..."

Shaggy blinked twice. "N-news? What news, Daph?"

Daphne stayed quiet as she gave a sigh. "Okay, Shaggy, before anything else, I want you not to freak out or anything..."

The young man gave a frown as he started to feel jitters in his arms. "Like, the way you're saying it makes me want to freak out!"

"Shaggy..." Daphne started to say... before pausing and sighing. "That little fling of ours may have been a catalyst in your realization for your feelings for me... and I'm sure it evolved a bit in mine too... but something else happened."

Shaggy looked concerned as he noted Daphne's worried expression. "What else happened?"

"Shaggy..." Daphne bit her lip as she took a deep breath. "I'm pregnant."

Those three words ranged in Shaggy's head as his face looked at her in awe, as he had tried to process it... before falling out of the chair and fainting to the ground below.

About a couple minutes later, Shaggy warily opened his eyes as the image of Daphne looking down at him in concern came into focus. "Are you okay, Shaggy?"

She patted the boy's cheek as Shaggy said in a rather shocked, but dazed voice, "What did you just say?"

"It's true." Daphne sighed as she pulled Shaggy up and sighed. "I'm pregnant, Shaggy. You're the father."

The young man was slowly recovering, but this news came in shock as he held his head. "Zoinks! Is... is this real?"

"Very real." Daphne bit her lip as she held her head. "Please don't get the wrong idea, Shaggy. I didn't kiss you or lead you on just to convince you to do anything, that has nothing to do with what happened. It's just..."

Daphne groaned as she held her head and sat down. Shaggy looked at Daphne, recovered, but still looking shocked and wary. "...How... like, how long have you known?"

"I just learned about it today." Daphne sighed. "I've been trying to mull it over in my mind on how to tell you... you don't hate me for pulling this on you, do you?"

Shaggy paused briefly as he looked at Daphne's sad face. He walked over and sat down next to his... well, his girlfriend now as he squeezed her hand. "No, I don't hate you. Honestly, I'm just... stunned. I mean, here I am, trying to figure out how to say I love you and want to be with you, and you're struggling with your own thing... which relates to me, I guess..."

Daphne stayed quiet as she looked down. "Oh, what are we going to do, Shaggy?"

Shaggy looked over his girlfriend's sad face, before looking down at her stomach, taking in the fact that his kid was residing inside Daphne's body, growing little by little. "Have you decided yet on what you wanted to do with the baby?"

"I wanted to wait for you and see what you think." Daphne sighed.

Shaggy paused briefly as he closed his eyes for a moment, before taking a deep breath. "Like, I won't lie... this is a turn of events, and it'll probably change our lives depending on the situation."

"It would, wouldn't it?" Daphne sighed. "We wouldn't be doing a lot of travelling for a little while... and raising a kid would be taking up a lot of our time."

"Plus, we'd have to tell the gang about what's going to happen... and we'd have to give him or her a lot of support." Shaggy explained.

"It's going to be a tough road if we do this..." Daphne sighed.

"And yet... we faced a lot of scary monsters... like, what's a road to parenthood compared to, right?" Shaggy laughed.

Daphne laughed as she slowly started to smile. "We may be officially going out, Shaggy, but I think a child would deserve two parents that should stay together..."

"Well, a father should be sure his family should be well protected... and our families... it'll take some time, but I'm sure they'll understand. Plus, with my cooking skills and your skills, I think we could make something work..." Shaggy smiled. "Call me crazy, but... maybe this could be a good experience for us... after all, you and I have been together as friends, so what's the harm, right?"

Daphne looked up at her new boyfriend, before giving a smile as a couple tears of joy came out from her eyes. "Oh, Shaggy... if that's how you feel, then... okay! We'll keep the baby!"

With that, Shaggy and Daphne engulfed each other in a small hug, Shaggy being gentle as to keep his girlfriend close. He looked down towards Daphne's stomach, smiling as he found a new resolve. Nothing was going to hurt his girlfriend OR his kid, and he would make sure of it, no matter what life would throw at the man. Daphne could only look up to her official boyfriend. She then looked down at her stomach and smiled, the idea of raising a kid slowly growing in her mind.

And with that, this chapter is done! How did you guys like it? I'll be taking a break from this for now, but next time, when we get back, more Shaphne cuteness and maybe some moments with Fred, Velma and Scooby! I haven't decided on what yet, but we'll see! Anyway, read, review, criticize and suggest, everyone!
