All right, even with Fanficiton's e-mail alerts being all screwy, hopefully those that have the app on their phone can follow the updates, because right now, a new chapter of this story is here! So, let's dive right in! Anyway, enjoy!

Later that evening, over at her mansion, Daphne was sitting down at her desk as she was tapping her fingers, trying to focus on the reading material in front of her. Said reading material turned out to be a book on how to handle pregnancies, as she looked through it carefully. Yet despite her eyes being on the book, they weren't focused on the words. No, as a matter of fact, her mind appeared to be elsewhere as she was trying to contemplate everything that happened today, especially with Fred and his reaction...

The fact that he just walked out on everyone... which, she didn't blame him in particular, it was quite a lot to take in for him. She knew he needed his space, but yet... the fact that he learned WHO the father of her kid was was a really low blow to his ego. Still, she was sure that Fred wouldn't be mopey for long... plus, Fred was their friend, even he wouldn't ditch his friends for very long...

But all thoughts of Fred went away as she tried to focus on her reading, while feeling her stomach. It was hard to believe that for her, she was at least a month pregnant. And by the time studies would start, she'd be at least two months pregnant. And with the father, Shaggy, supporting her, she knew that it was going to be a big adjustment, retiring from mystery solving for the time being to become a full-time mother. Maybe she would go back to mystery solving once her kid started to grow older, but even still, it felt like a long ways away...

It was then he heard a knock on the door. The purple wearing girl looked up as the door opened to reveal Shaggy coming in, with a smile. Daphne's eyes lit up as the brown haired male walked right in. "Like, hi, Daph."

"Shaggy, sweetie!" Daphne smiled as she got up and ran over to Shaggy and pulled him into a hug, with Shaggy hugging her right back. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, like... I know there's been a lot going on, and I was just sitting around with Scooby, when I thought to myself, 'I have a girlfriend probably worrying about what happened today. Why don't I, like, come over and take her out'?" Shaggy smiled. "So... here I am."

Daphne's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait... take me out? As in... on a date?"

"I know, I know, but I'm worried that you might have a lot on your mind right now, and I want to help take the tension off... so, like, why don't we go out and just have fun together, like, just the two of us?!" Shaggy grinned. "After everything, you at least deserve a happy night!"

"Awww, Shaggy..." Daphne grinned as she pulled her boyfriend close and snuggled close to him. "Thank you..."

No words were further said as the two let go of each other before Shaggy offered his hand. Daphne took it with ease as the two walked out of Daphne's room and past Daphne's parents, who could only smile as they watched their daughter get close to the boy she was in love with.

Shaggy had decided to drive Daphne around in his van so as to travel easier as they went up and down on the streets, not going in any specific direction, but to Daphne, just going with the guy of her dreams was enough. After a quiet night, Daphne paused as she turned to Shaggy. "Soooo... how did you manage to convince Daddy to take me out?"

"Like, it wasn't easy, but once I explained that you came home depressed, and the fact I mentioned that we had a bit of a temporary falling out with Fred, like, I guess he knew I was the only one to get you cheered up." Shaggy explained as he looked over towards Daphne, before turning his eyes back towards the road to focus.

"Well, I'm just glad you came over when you did... I was upset over what happened with Fred... but I know he'll come around... right?" Daphne asked as she looked down.

Shaggy quickly pulled over on the side of the road before turning towards Daphne. "Like, Daph... don't blame yourself. I don't care if he's upset because of the baby, but the fact is... Daphne, this is OUR baby. And, like... I don't know... all these emotions driving my head and all... like, this baby could change our lives, sure, but they're OUR lives, and our baby is going to be the best thing that ever happened to us!"

Daphne paused as she looked up at her boyfriend before biting her lip. "Do you really think so? It's just... well..."

"You heard what Velma said, give Freddy a little time, and eventually, he'll come around to this idea... and if he doesn't, well, that's on him." Shaggy said as he looked over to Daphne. "Look, Daphne, I have a lot of emotions running through my mind, and like, I know that we just became boyfriend and girlfriend, and the fact that our... well, 'fling' made our baby... even though I know you're only pregnant for a month, if anything were to happen to you or our child, I would hurt EVERYBODY who dared harmed the both of you!"

Daphne was surprised at Shaggy's determined look, before giving a good smile. "Awwww, Shaggy, the fact that you're really willing to be our child's daddy is already speaking wonders... I guess your loyalty really knows no bounds..."

"I do mean that..." Shaggy said as he put his hand on Daphne's. "Because like, I love you, Daphne, more than any man would love a good woman."

Daphne giggled as she squeezed Shaggy's hand before kissing him on the lips, with Shaggy kissing back. After a few seconds, they separated as Daphne smiled, "Thanks, Shaggy. I really needed to hear those words right now... and don't worry. I'm going to keep our baby."

"Wonderful!" Shaggy smiled as he started the van and started to drive through the roads as the van continued towards their destination.

Daphne gave a small sigh of relief, looking over at Shaggy's small smile, his relaxed body and more determined look. She could tell something had changed in the boy she knew who had just became her boyfriend. Like, there was more of a... determination to his demeanor. Maybe it was the fact he learned he was going to be a father, but either way, Daphne was starting to like this bold Shaggy. After a couple moments, she noticed that the van had turned towards the park and went into the parking lot.

"Uh... Shaggy, why are we at the park?" Daphne asked in confusion as Shaggy unbuckled himself and got out of the car.

"Like, you'll understand in a few moments." Shaggy grinned as he gave a smile. "Now, shall I lead my lady over to the place?"

Daphne couldn't help but giggle at the young man's offer, but unbuckled herself and stepped out as she took Shaggy's hand. "What a gentleman..."

Despite the kind gesture, Daphne still didn't know where Shaggy was taking her to the park or exactly WHY they were there to begin with, but judging from the look on Shaggy's face, he seemed pretty excited about it, so Daphne decided to keep a lid on it for now. Still, her mind couldn't help but wonder why this all seemed familiar...

"We're here!"

Daphne paused as she looked around at the place where she and Shaggy stopped at. There were at least two chairs laid down in the center, with a boombox not too far away from the area. A few sodas were seen laying down in a cooler somewhere as sandwiches, one of them as high as a mile on a plate was seen next to the two. This place seemed to be surrounded by grass and trees, one tree in particular stood out above the rest...

Daphne took notice of the tree as she approached it and gasped. She noted strange carvings on the side of the tree... one of them being a mirror, and the other a diamond shape, with the letters 'SD' on it.

"Shaggy... is this...?" Daphne asked as the young man gave a small smile, looking over the tree with a nostalgic face to his look. Daphne looked over as she gave a smile, remembering said tree from long ago...

EIGHT YEARS AGO...

"Ugh, I can't believe my suit is covered with that gooey sap from that monster costume! Ugh, it's going to take me weeks!"

The young Daphne was seen trying to shake the sap off of her pink shirt, looking rather disgusted as she tried to take the sap off. She looked rather upset and moody as she was desperately trying to get the stains off.

She and the Scooby-Doo Detective Agency had just recently solved another case involving a robbed pizza store from a creature known as the Maple Syrup Monster from Beyond, who was actually the rival competitor's CEO of Chicken and Waffles from next door, trying to scare the pizza store out of business so that they can buy the store and merge it to become a mega restaurant. However, thanks to the Scooby-Doo Detective Agency's snooping around (and Shaggy being a big fan of that pizzaria), the gang had quickly found the monster, but not before the costume accidentally squirted Daphne's perfect pink shirt as she ran off in disgust. And it was on the day that her butlers had taken the day off, so she couldn't just call Jenkins or her other butlers...

Fortunately, Shaggy had been there to keep an eye on her as he took her to a nearby place to calm down, which, in this case, was the park, and as of current, Daphne was sitting in the center of the field as she tried to get the syrup off her shirt, with little to no avail.

"Ew, ew, ew! So gross! I love syrup, but not on my lovely pink shirt!" Daphne complained as she tried to shake the syrup off, with little success.

"Hang on, Daphne, like, help's on the way!"

Daphne looked up to see her young best friend comign with a few wet cloths that he managed to dampen with the nearby water fountain as he held her still. "Deep breaths now, just calm down..."

The young orange haired lass looked over towards Shaggy, but kept calm as the young man tried to wipe off the sap from her shirt as best as he could, dampening the shirt a bit, but getting a good chunk of the sap off. As soon as he was done, he put the cloths aside as he asked, "Like, how do you feel?"

"Well, my shirt's now damp, but I think you got rid of the gunk..." Daphne frowned as she crossed her arms. "At the very least, I don't feel sticky, but now my pink shirt is ruined!"

"I don't see what the big deal is, Daphne. You wear the same shirt every day anyway." Shaggy pointed out.

"Yes, I have a closet with the same wardrobe, but even I like to change it up once in a while." Daphne rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"W-well, if it means anything... I think you look great... p-pretty even." Shaggy said with a small smile.

This caused Daphne to pause as she looked up at him, before giving a slight blush. Shaggy, realizing what he said, blushed as well as none of them said anything... before looking towards a nearby tree. "Uh... hey, Daphne, have you ever carved anything on a tree before?"

Daphne blinked in confusion. "Uh... no, why?"

Shaggy smiled as he walked over to a tree and pulled out a small piece of chalk. "Come on, let me show you..."

Daphne walked closer as Shaggy used the chalk to carve a diamond against the tree, before using the sharpened chalk to carve out the letters 'S' and 'D' on the diamond. Shaggy hesitated for a moment when it came to the D, but still, he did it just fine. Daphne leaned closer before her eyes widened as she gave a giggle. "Ohhhh... SD, as in Scooby-Doo!"

"Y-yeah..." Shaggy chuckled. "Sort of like his dog tag, if you will..."

"...that does look like fun..." Daphne smiled as she took the chalk from Shaggy. "How do I... say, draw a mirror?"

The young boy smiled as he walked over and grabbed Daphne's hand, the one, holding the chalk. "Well, let me see if I can guide you..."

Daphne found herself blushing, but smiling as Shaggy helped guide her into making a mirror shaped object on the tree. It wasn't much, but for a first attempt, she had a bit of fun... and her dampened/syrupy covered shirt was almost all but forgotten as the two kids laughed with each other...

PRESENT TIME

"Hard to believe it was so long ago..." Daphne whispered as she felt the carvings on the tree.

Shaggy gave a chuckle. "You know, it's funny. When I first carved that, something told me to put a plus sign between the S and the D. But I think it would have ruined the whole 'Scooby tag'."

Daphne giggled as she turned towards her boyfriend with a smile. "Awww, did you have a small crush on me from the beginning."

"...maybe..." Shaggy said quietly, before giving a smile. "What I knew was, this place was special to me because this was the day I got you to have a little fun, and not worry about yourself for the time being... I always come back here whenever I wanted to be alone... by this tree specifically, because it had the best memories..."

"And you really set this all up for me?" Daphne asked as she touched her heart, giving a smile.

"Like, it's not much, but it's got a pretty good view of the night sky." Shaggy said as he pointed upwards.

The orange haired girl looked up and gasped as she saw the many, many stars that were coming out and twinkling in the night sky. She paused before giving a big smile. "Shaggy, this... this is beautiful... did you do everything yourself?"

"Well... Scooby helped after a few Scooby Snacks, but other than that, most of it was my idea." Shaggy smiled as he walked over to the boombox and pushed the play button on it. A nice, soothing jazz number started up as he offered Daphne his hand. "Shall I interest you in a dance, my lady?"

Daphne gasped as she gave a blush. "A d-dance? I shouldn't... but... why not?"

Shaggy smiled as he and Daphne held their bodies close as they started to dance together, following the smooth music as the feet took them to the beat. And for a few minutes, the two of them continued to dance and look at each other, love clear in their eyes. As the climax of the piece was nearing its end, Daphne smiled as she leaned towards Shaggy's chest as the young man gave a small, quirky smile, before the piece ended. As they finished their dance, Shaggy walked over towards the boombox and turned off the music as he turned towards Daphne, and gestured to the chairs. Daphne smiled as she sat down next to the small sandwich on the table before her, and Shaggy, predictably, took the chair in front of the rather large mile-high sandwich.

Daphne looked over at the sandwich and smiled. "I see you made your famous cheese, ham, ham, ham, tomato, cheese, ham and tomato... and cheese sandwich."

"Along with my personal favorite, like, my cheese, ham, ham, cheese, tomato, ham, tomato and cheese sandwich... and cheese." Shaggy grinned as he looked at the mile high sandwich before downing half of it in one bite. To this day, Daphne was still trying to work the science in how Shaggy was able to eat half of that sandwich so quickly.

Still, as she munched on her sandwich and sipped her soda, she looked up towards the evening sky as the stars began to twinkle brightly... she smiled as she looked over to Shaggy, a warm feeling etched within her. "Shaggy, you're the best. I love you so much..."

"I love you too, Daphne..." Shaggy smiled as the two leaned over and shared a kiss, before separating from each other, before turning back towards the sky, where they would lay all evening...

Little did the two realize was that someone, who had overheard the jazz music, was approaching their sight, and upon noticing one person, stopped in their tracks.

That said someone then started to give a big smile as she gave a chuckle.

"Found ya at last... my Beauregard hubby..."

And that is THIS chapter done! How did you guys like it? Yep, I figured it was time to bring in a little Shaphne sappiness, but in a way, I'm glad I was able to do so... now, I did say a familiar face was coming this chapter to confront the two, and while I am true to my word, I'm going to have the actual confrontation in the NEXT chapter... and as for that said figure... well, for those who know the Scooby-Doo lore, especially with the Superstars 10 movies, you'd all know who's making her appearance here. Still, let's have some fun with this, shall we?

Oh, and suggestions for returning villains are still open, so if you guys haven't turned in suggestions yet, it's best to do so now, because I'm going to be locking them in for the next chapter and beyond! Anyway, read, review, criticize and suggest, everyone!
