Thanks to Chelseamount45633 for all of the reviews she's left.

Wow! During all of 2022 I was so bad with updating any story. Anyway, I hope you have all had some happy holidays and new year's. And will now have an amazing 2023.

As I do every year, I will start with updating each of my stories. I write 500 words on one chapter, do the same with the next chapter, and like that around and around with each story and around and around and around. It has been going very slowly, but this is the last chapter I'm starting.

The new series starts soon, Bird has left and I think Jay's leaving too. Hopefully there'll be no details to mess this chapter up so I have to write another one. Like I'll have to do for Candi-Rose now.

*Update as of January 19* I posted a chapter of too much bitten off to chew earlier and it made a first chapter for this year.

Jacob and Noah Wallis

In Pottiswood, England- somewhere right outside downtown were two brothers. Their names were Jacob and Noah, and they had seen neither of their parents, Reggie or Amelia for quite some time right now, despite that the younger held tightly onto a teddy bear almost as big as him. One that had been won at a fun fair.

Reggie and Amelia probably didn't seem to actually know, or want the boys that they had. Most of the time they were home anyway, the boys ended up in their bedroom, while they couldn't do else than listening to their parents fighting.

And after all, those would be the days before the nights when both Amelia and Reggie laid alone, Amelia on their bed and Reggie on their living room couch and they'd be wondering about things they'd rather forget about during the day.

Like how Amelia had been pregnant with Noah already when she met Reggie. Or how they would be competing, how they wanted the boys to love them the most with toy cars and skipping school for days out.

They could maybe even pretend that the big teddy bear seven year old Noah had won for five year old Jacob at a fun fair, to cheer his little brother up had been won by Reggie and Jacob could like his dad just a little bit more, at least for a little while, while Amelia and Reggie watched and competed until the boys dug a box of their toy cars in the yard in fear they'd be taken away.

But Amelia and Reggie could also be gone for weeks at the time. Or was it months?

The boys did alright, they had their toy cars and a teddy bear as big as Jacob himself. Jacob, but five years older could do math most adults couldn't and helped his older brother with homework. Their parents would leave all kinds of food in the fridge, freezer and cupboards. The two brothers did alright, almost better than what they did when they had to spend their afternoons listening to their parents fighting.

Yeah, they did alright.

Or at least they had done alright until the night when Jacob woke up from hearing Noah moving around.

When their parents were gone Jacob would sleep in the big bed in their parents room so both of the brothers could for once have their own rooms. And Jacob wasn't usually awoken so easily. But that one, first night he woke up from hearing…

"Noah?" Jacob found his older brother in his older brother in the bathroom trying to put his sheets in a bucket of water. "What are you doing? It's in the middle of the night!" A sour smell suddenly went up his nose and he couldn't help but recognize it. "Did you wet the bed?"

"No!" Noah lied a bit too quickly. "Go back to bed."

"You did!" Jacob protested, he already knew the answer. "Only little kids wet the bed, that's disgusting!"

"Go back to bed." Noah fizzled, he couldn't lie anymore. Jacob froze for a second. "Jacob… don't tell anyone about this. No one at school, not mum, not dad- no one!"

No one!

And then that was the way it went, Maybe Jacob should have told someone, some adult that Noah didn't seem well. Maybe he should have known that it wasn't normal for a boy of seven to wet the bed. But it was just disgusting…

No one!

Those words kept spinning around.

No one! Tell no one.

Noah didn't tell anyone, not that night when it started, right before when he got so thirsty he drank so many glasses of water Jacob lost count. None of them told about when Noah was too tired to get out of bed and to school. Or when he fell asleep in class. None of them told anyone about the time when Noah was so hungry he ate almost everything they had, or when they stole food in their backpacks before running away through a store.

Jacob didn't tell anyone, and neither did Noah himself.

As the children they were they didn't know that Noah lost weight that wasn't there to lose from the beginning. And they neither told anyone about when Noah's vision got so blurry he couldn't concentrate in school, even those lessons he was awake. Or when his teacher thought he might need glasses. When the little seven year old boy tricked the teacher into not calling his parents, that weren't home anyway. But none of the boys had to tell any adult about anything.

And Noah was so angry all the time, Jacob didn't dare to wonder about what would happen if he'd go against what his older brother said.

But it was that one, first night that Jacob was told to go back to bed that was the first night Jacob wondered if Amelia even remembered what she had in the two boys she had left at home.

Then everything changed…

Jacob sat hugging his big teddy bear, and could only watch his brother as he was leaned over the toilet bowl expelling anything and everything he had eaten the last 24 hours. Everything came up the same way it came and Jacob would have liked to hold his hands over his ears, make a call to whoever could help them, or maybe run away…

But something made him only stay and watch as his brother seemed to be vomiting for a million years…

When Noah could at last stop throwing up and collapsed towards the floor Jacob slowly crawled onto his feet…

Despite their light brown skin Noah looked pale white where he laid, his forehead was clammy with sweat and he was trembling from head to toe. And at last, seeing Noah like this changed Jacob somehow. It made him understand…

"Noah. I think we need help…" Noah didn't answer. Jacob couldn't even tell if he'd heard him at all. "Noah? Noah?"

Something more switched inside of Jacob- his little five year old mind understood now Noah didn't answer this was bad. Really bad!

"I'm sorry Noah…" Jay whispered under his breath at last. "But I need to tell an adult. We need help."

Jay crawled onto his feet and unlocked the bathroom door. While he ran outside, left his teddy in the bathroom with Noah, Jacob couldn't help the thought that hit him. That since they'd waited so long, Noah might be dead before they could get help.

He had run up the street, but then he froze where he was. Where was he supposed to go? Who could help him?

Before anything Jacob suddenly started crying. During all of the pressure he had had about not telling anyone… There was so much!

"Hello!" Suddenly there was a woman right by him, she had seen him crying and stopped. "Who are you?" Jacob didn't answer but cried even worse. "Do you need help finding your parents?" As if possible Jacob cried even worse at the mentioning of his parents that he hadn't seen in so long but had told him they couldn't tell anyone about them leaving. "Oh sweetie… It's okay…" At last Jacob could lower his hands and looked up. "Can I help you with anything? Anything at all?" For another moment they were both quiet. "My name is Lucy, what is yours…" Still no answer. "Oh sweetie. You're just a little boy. Little boys aren't supposed to have a lot of problems without telling anyone about them… So can you tell me about what's bothering you?" Jacob was still quiet for another moment. Then at last he just couldn't help but say one single sentence.

"I think my brother is really sick."

Random fact

The fact that Bird had Diabetes annoys me so much. It was mentioned once, and then never again. Diabetes isn't something you get and then forget all about. I guess just like the dumping ground's writers forget all about it.

That is all the characters through the dumping ground season 6 made. And now, as you all know I make chapters for other characters that have been there before. But as for next in the series, three new characters turned up. Sid, Freya and Lucas. So well… I'll post a poll about which one of those characters you want to see first in a bit (I'll post a note here when I do) and as usual, votes in reviews won't be counted as then I won't know who might have voted several times.
