Chapter 20: Meet The Grey's
I Only Own The Plot
CPOV
AN: Some of you asked about the timeline in this chapter, they have been married less than a year. It is now August in the story. This chapter will probably be very long. It will include a lot in it. Please stick with me.
I raise my hand to knock when Ana tugs me backward towards Jason and Luke.
"Christian, no matter what happens we are your family. Jason, Luke, Gail, and I are your family. Whatever they say cannot hurt you. We love you. Let's go in there and show them that you are no longer that little boy," Ana says pulling me down to kiss me.
"Honestly, Christian? We raised you with more manners than to maul your fling on our front porch," Carrick says rolling his eyes. We didn't realize he had opened the door.
"Fling? She is my wife. Excuse me for actually liking my wife enough to show her affection," I gripe back.
"Well, this is going to be a pleasant dinner," Luke says under his breath. I give a light chuckle
"You two. Go to the server's entrance. I sure you can be useful to the help," Carrick says waving Jason and Luke off. I look down at Ana and see that she is smirking.
"You do know my brother has more money than you, right? He is almost a billionaire. All of the companies that I write press releases for uses Luke's security firm for their protection details. The only exception is GEH. Along with our inheritance. Therefore, if anyone needs to help the servers, it's you cupcake. Excuse me, I need to go find Grace," Ana says pushing her way through Carrick.
"If I had to guess, I would say she doesn't like me too much," Carrick says staring after Ana.
"You're probably right," I say following after Ana.
"Oh good! You all made it," Grace exclaims when she sees my Beauty. Grace looks over and sees me lagging behind.
"Christian, your sister has been trying to reach you. She feels awful about what happened. Can you give her the cards back," Grace asks of me.
"I am glad she feels bad about what happened. It was all her fault, so she should feel bad. I will not be giving her anything back. She wants money, tell her to get a job or you can give her your cards. Maybe Elliott would add her to his cards," I say. Grace just shakes her head and turns around to finish cooking.
"I definitely will not be adding her to my cards, I'd be bankrupt by tomorrow," Elliott walks in from the backyard. He has on swim trunks. "Ana! Christian! It's still a while until dinner, come sit by the pool with Mia and me," he says pulling Ana outside. Ana starts to freak out and pull herself away.
"Elliott! I don't want to swim. Please stop," Ana exclaims pulling her arm away from him and running into my arms.
"Woah! Sorry, Ana. Will you just come to sit by us on the deck? I promise not to splash you," he says with a cheeky grin.
"Yeah, sure. I had Luke and Jason get Gail to pack us some clothes to change into from work. We'll be right out," Ana says pulling me towards the stairs.
"I want to see the room you grew up in," she says. After spending some time looking around my childhood bedroom, we head straight outside where we see Elliott and Mia. Mia is talking to Luke and he looks very uncomfortable.
"Mia, leave the man alone. Learn to read body language," I say to her. Her head quickly snaps around to look at us. "Christian, I am so glad you're here. Can we talk? Alone," she looks at Ana. I start to get pissed.
"Go ahead, Baby. I am just going to go sit over here with my book. Elliott will keep me company since Luke made his escape," she laughs and walks away.
Mia and I have been arguing back and forth for about 20 minutes about why she will never get another penny out of me when I hear my Ana scream at Elliott to put her down. I turn my head in time to see him toss her into the deep end of the pool while laughing. She immediately goes under and doesn't surface. I am rushing over when she comes to the surface screaming.
"Luke! Luke! Help me! I'm," she goes back under. Luke and I dive under at the same time. I grab her first and pull her back up to the surface.
"Stephen, I'm sorry! Let me go! I promise I won't tell my dad! Luke!" Ana is screaming and fighting me as I am pulling her to the edge. Luke hops out first and I hand her to him he pulls her out of the water.
"Luke, you saved me," she says as soon as she is out of the water.
"I am always going to save you, banana," he says back to her.
"Until my last breath," they say together.
I am standing on the side of them looking at her in shock.
"Christian? Where is Christian?" she questions looking around. Her eyes land on me and she starts crying.
"Beauty, I am right here. Breathe for me," I say to try and get her breathing under control.
"Oh, she's being such a drama queen. It's just a harmless prank," Mia says waving her hand at us. I hear Luke growl before I see him stand up to march over to where Elliott and Mia are standing.
"A prank?! My sister told this thickheaded piece of shit that she didn't want to swim. She compromised and said she would sit by the deck to try to make an effort to bond with you two and this is what you do to her?! She had past trauma in her life and doesn't like to be submerged in water. No one should have to be explaining this to you because she had already said no to swimming and you should have listened to her boundaries. If you weren't Christian's brother, I would've already put you to sleep by now. You hurt my sister. You both are dead to me now," Luke says and then walks back towards us.
"Banana, I am going to go out and brief dad on what happened and try to calm down. Christian is right here with you. You're safe," he reaches down and kisses her forehead. Before she could respond, he was gone.
"Jason, go get our things from upstairs. We are leaving," I say scooping Ana up into my arms.
"Christian, no, let's stay. I don't want to ruin this for you. I just wasn't expecting him to throw me into the pool. I am sorry for freaking out," she says mumbling into my chest.
"Ana, you didn't ruin anything. Elliott broke your trust and I will completely understand if you want to leave. Let's just go home and snuggle on the couch while watching a movie," I say into her hair.
"We can do that once we get home. Let me get dry and we can have dinner," she says standing up and walking towards the back door.
"Ana, I'm so," she lifts her hand to stop Elliott.
"I really don't care what you have to say, Elliott. There won't be a next time. I will never let my guard down around you ever again," she says and then walks past him to get into the house.
"Christian, you gotta believe me. I didn't know," he says. I cock my arm back and punch him straight in the face. He falls to the ground instantly.
"I could give a flying fuck about what you know or don't know. My wife told you no. SHE SAID NO! That should have been the end of that conversation. You don't know her well enough to play around with her like that. I swear if Luke wants to lay you out for what you did to his sister, I won't stop him," I say and turn around to go find Ana. I need to hold her close.
"Christian, dinner is ready," my mother says quietly on the other side of the door. Ana and I have been in my childhood bedroom laying on the bed for the past 15 minutes. I just needed to be surrounded by her.
"We'll be down shortly," I say. I cuddle up to Ana again and she just chuckles.
"Come on, Baby. The sooner we eat, the sooner we can go home and start on baby Grey," she says pulling me up.
Dinner is quiet and tense. Mia is staring daggers at Ana, Luke and I are staring daggers at Elliott, and Ana is trying to engage everyone into a conversation, but it isn't working out.
"Okay, we need to address the elephant in the room. Ana," Carrick says looking at my wife. "Mia told me you freaked out on Elliott and had my son hit his brother. Care to explain," he says staring at her.
"Who the fuck do you think you are talking to her like that," I say.
"Christian, calm down, Baby. Obviously, Mia has lied to spin things in her favor like the child she is and that is okay," Ana says putting her hand on my chest. "Carrick, your daughter is a liar. I have childhood trauma that makes me terrified to be submerged in water. Elliott crossed my boundary after I told him no and he still threw me in the pool. I didn't even know Christian hit his brother, but he was defending his wife. That doesn't make it right, but knowing Christian what did you expect? You knew he wouldn't just let it go. While we are on the subject of things Mia has done, I have a question for Mia," Ana says looking at Mia. This has me intrigued because Mia looks terrified to have the spotlight on her.
"Why are you looking into me? Everyone knows who I am. I am Raymond Steele's daughter. You can simply Google me and find out generic information. What was the point of doing a background check?" Ana rapid-fire these questions at Mia.
"Background check," everyone except for Luke and Ana says.
"Beauty, what is going on," I question.
"I am sorry Christian, but Mia has been digging into me. Luke told me today at the office. I truly have no idea why she is, so I thought it'd be best to just ask her when everyone was around," Ana says.
"A better question would be why I can't find anything about her mother," Mia says.
"Because our birth giver gave up her rights to us when Ana was 14 and I was 16. Not that it is any of your business," Luke says while not even looking up from his dinner.
"Christian, what did you bring our family into? This family is unstable," Carrick says pointing to Ana and Luke. I give a menacing chuckle.
"They are unstable? Okay, let's look into our family, Carrick. Let's start with Mom. Mom works to the bone at the hospital to avoid being home alone because you are always at work, or so you say. We will get back to that later. Mia is a spoiled and inconsiderate brat with no work ethic and expects to live off of me or you two. Elliott is a man whore with commitment issues and cannot take anything seriously. By the way, Kate Kavanagh says hello, Elliott. Now on to you dear old dad. You knew about me and Elena. I know for a fact you knew about her beating the shit out of me and trying to force herself on me sexually. You were one of the people who she brought in to watch as she beat me. You remember that night, don't you? Where I looked you dead in the eyes, beyond that mask you were wearing. I looked you in the eyes while she used every device on me. That is why you can't look me in the eyes now. Because it brings you back to that day. Why do you think that I stopped caring for you after that day? Why I stopped calling you dad and start calling you Carrick? YOU KNEW! You didn't protect me because I turned my life around. I stopped fighting and drinking. I stopped smearing the Grey name. That's all you cared about and I hate you for it," I have tears running down my face, but I don't care. This conversation has been long overdue. It's time that this information has been known.
"While we are at it, Mom, how long are you going to knowingly let him cheat on you. You try to fill that void by overworking yourself, but you deserve better. It can't be about the money. You know I would take care of you. Please stop letting him walk all over you," I say looking at my mom. I need her to know that she doesn't have to stay.
"Wait for just a minute Christian! Don't you go disrespecting my marriage. I love Grace," Carrick yells at me.
"I am disrespecting your marriage?! Cheating on your wife isn't disrespecting your marriage?! Tell me, Carrick, any more dirty little secrets you have with that firm partner of yours? Trust me, I am going to have Jason and Luke look. You can't hide any longer," I say looking at him.
"Daddy, you're cheating on mommy?" Mia asks.
"Mia, grow up. Even Elliott knew. No matter how obtuse he chooses to be," I say.
Mia swings her head around to look at Elliott and he just nods.
"Christian, get out of my house. Take that trash with you. You are never allowed back in this home," Carrick screams at me. When he called Ana trash, I saw Luke stand up and walk towards Carrick.
"Trash? That is funny coming from a pile of steaming hot shit such as yourself. Carrick Jean Grey, you are going to wish those words about my sister never came out of your mouth," He says looking Carrick in the eye. Carrick swallows nervously. "Mrs. Grace, thank you so much for this fine dining. It was great. I hope we will be seeing more of you soon ma'am," Luke says sincerely to my mother. She just gives him a watery smile.
"Mom, I love you very much, but I can no longer stand by and watch this shit show. Please come see me when you are ready. I will always be there for you," I lean over to kiss her cheek and she just places her hand on my face.
"Come on, Beauty. I am ready to go home and finish up our evening," I grab Ana's hand and lead her out of the dining room.
"Christian, wait up," I hear Elliott say behind us. "I promise to be better. I know I don't take things seriously, but I don't want to lose you in my life. You are my baby brother and you mean a lot to me. I know I have never been supportive, but I didn't know how to be back then. I thought making everyone laugh and being a clown would break the tension, but I was wrong. I want to change and be there for you for the rest of our lives. We only have each other. Please forgive me," he says and has tears streaming down his face.
"I forgive you for our childhood. It was a lot to deal with and I can't blame you for not knowing how to properly deal with it because no one truly did, but today was out of line," I say quietly. Trying to keep my emotions in check. "Ana is my everything and you hurt her, Elliott. It is going to take me some time to get her screams out of my head," my voice breaks at the end. I tried not to let them see how hearing her scream and fight like that affects me, but she is my world and she was so scared. I never want to see her like that again.
"Elliott, give us time and we will reach out to you. I would love to get to know you better. We just got off on the wrong foot," Ana says quietly and gives him a small smile. I can tell it is not a real smile.
"Of course, Ana. Thank you so much for even considering it. I promise to never hurt you again. I didn't mean to today, but I was being my obtuse self," he says. Ana just nods in return.
"Come on, Baby. We have dinner and a movie with our name on it," Ana says pulling me towards the car.
"Jason, can you text Gail and ask her to order take-out from Christian's favorite Chinese restaurant? For all of us. We are having a family movie night in the media room. We are going to finish binge-watching the Fast and Furious franchise," Ana says and Luke and Jason give a loud cheer.
We make it home in record time go to our respective rooms to change into loungewear. We all make it to the media room around the same time when the bell for the elevator dings letting us know the food is here. Jason and Luke go to get it while Ana boots up the movie we last left off on.
I look around at the craziness that is Luke, Ana, Gail, and Jason as they argue about who the most badass character is and trading cartons of food, and I know that this is my family. These are the people I am supposed to have in my everyday life. I hope Elliott will fit in with this group.
They quiet down as the movie picks up and the action really starts and Ana leans over to cuddle into my side. As the movie goes on, Ana is rubbing her hand up and down my thigh and it is turning me on.
"I thought we were supposed to start on making our baby tonight, Mrs. Grey," I say in her ear as cars crash on screen.
"Hmmm, how am I supposed to focus on that when Paul Walker is on the screen. He is so cute, don't you think," she says smirking at me. She is trying to get me riled up.
"Cute? I'll show you cute," I say as I stand up and scoop her up. I throw her over my shoulder and tell her to say goodnight to everyone.
"Good night to everyone," she says chuckling. I smack her ass hard and she squeals.
"Christian, I swear to God if you make me throw up this fantastic food, I will end you," Luke says and I just smack her ass again and she makes the same noise. Luke pretends to gag. At least, I think he's pretending.
"Now, Mrs. Grey, who do you think is so cute," I ask once we reach our room.
"I have no idea what you are talking about, Mr. Grey," she says cheekily.
"Hmm, we will see about that. Come here, Beauty. Don't make me ask twice," I say huskily. I see her pupils dilate and she starts rubbing her thighs together. Oh, this is going to be a long night.
AN: I promise the lemon is going to happen next chapter. The next chapter will have time jumps in it after the lemon. I want Baby Grey to be in the story soon. I felt as if this chapter was already too long, but some of you guys have been asking for longer chapters and this took a lot out of me lol. Read and Review! It makes me happy and I write a lot quicker when I am happy!
