Pike Family, not just Mallory this time. So I'm curious, it looks like Chapter 8 is my most read chapter (outside of chapter one), I'd be curious to know what does everyone like about that chapter? Is it that Shannon is in it? That Kristy is enjoying shopping? I also wanna know if you want to see more chapters that are set in the future, or more canon compliment? Let me know what you guys think!

Happy reading!

It was moving day as the Pike Family struggled to be heard. Either from their parents or their departing siblings. Mallory had moved to Mount Holyoke and eventually her own place in Boston. She was there to help move all her stuff out. Adam was scheduled for his deployment. Jordan had his bags packed and ready to go the airport to California the next day.

Byron, well, Byron was having a hard time saying good-bye to his triplet brothers. He opted to stay in Stoneybrook finishing his pre-med courses at Stoneybrook University and eventually NYU Medical School.

"And you can call whenever," said Byron to Jordan.

"Definitely," he said. "And Adam, when you have time off call one of us."

The triplets making promises as the girls had a harder time.

For the girls it was another story. With Adam and Jordan gone there was a free room. Which meant there was a chance that someone could get their own room. Byron and Nicky shared a room, it was a no brainer they'd stick together. Margo, Claire, and Vanessa would also stick together.

Although nobody really wanted that room to go empty. So, a room wars was brewing over the Pike kids.

With boxes packed Mallory turned to her younger siblings.

"I'm gonna miss you guys," she said hugging them one by one. "Call, write, text…" She wiped her eyes and picked up her box of old journals. The well-worn pages close to her heart as she squeezed her mom tightly. "Don't give mom and dad too much trouble."

"We'll miss you Mallory," said Claire hugging her eldest sister tightly.

Mallory burst into tears before climbing into her dad's car. The moving van had already left for Boston. Adam was hugging his siblings at the same time. He would be flying to North Carolina and head directly to the Marines base.

They waved until the car was out of sight. Sighing they looked at each other as the girls finally turned to Jordan.

"So whose going to get your room now that you guys are gone?" asked Claire jumping straight to the point. "Since you leave tomorrow, you get to decide. Besides, we know how much we love your baby sister."

"No way it's my room now," said Vanessa with a laugh looking at Jordan as it was obvious. "I'm a senior now and I should get it."

"I'm the youngest," said Claire. "Besides, it was my room first, I had it when I was five remember?"

"You barely remember being five."

"I remember more then you think silly billy goo goo."

"Hey, I'm the middle girl now and maybe you should be nice to me and give me the room, because I'm always overlooked," said Margo.

Vanessa rolled her eyes as she groaned at the old catch phrase. Margo just grinned at her remembering that she shared a room with that. Margo just hugged her brother hoping that it would help her cause. Mrs. Pike, Dee, rolled her eyes remembering this old story. However, since Jordan was here, he could pick. She went back inside to make dinner and clean things up.

"Hey how about you clean my room first," said Jordan. "Then I'll decide after dinner."

Margo, Claire, and Vanessa shared a look before bolting into the house looking around at the rooms. Jordan followed them waiting to be entertained by the ensuing fight between them. That left Byron and Nicky standing on the front lawn.

They grinned at each other slightly and rolled their eyes.

"I can't believe that you want to stick around for this," said Nicky to his elder brother.

"Hey, at least I'll be graduating sooner," he said with a tiny shrug. "Depending on the field I pick at least. I'm lucky that SHS offered college courses. Besides, I like being home and helping out when I can."

"You always were a bit of a homebody," said Nicky punching his brother's shoulder, snickering a little. "Thanks for sticking around."

"It's no big deal Nick," he said. "Besides it's nice to have a friend still at home."

Nicky grinned a little wider hearing that. He never really was friends with the triplets since they were all running off together. When Mallory left for Riverbend, the two shared a room. They ended up growing closer as friends. It was nice to have someone to talk to in the family.

Dinner was quieter then usual as Byron helped make pork chops for dinner and a three-cheese mac and cheese. The girls sneaking peeks at Jordan to decide who would get the room. He was busy milking all the attention for what it was worth.

"Alright, well I decided," said Jordan looking at his family and casually dropped. "Byron gets it."

"What?!" shrieked the girls.

"Yea think about it, he's the oldest at home still. He has medical school and studying, and Nicky is studying for those tests since he's a junior."

"That's not fair, I move out next year," said Vanessa fuming.

"And you tried to share Margo's bed when Mallory first moved out when you were nine," said Jordan smugly. "Don't think that I forgot that."

Vanessa steamed a little and stabbed her pork but said nothing. In a way she would miss sharing a room with her sisters. Margo and Claire just looked down at their plates remembering when Mallory moved.

Byron and Nicky shared a look before shrugging. If they wanted to switch rooms later, they'd do it after Jordan was gone.
