Hope everyone enjoys! Season 2 comes out on Monday and thought I'd write a short or two in honor of it. There's not a lot about Stoneybrook High School but I did try my best and looking up the Connecticut school system to get something right. I narrowed down that Stoneybrook could be part of Westport, despite being modeled off of Princeton NJ. Ann loves I Love Lucy and that's where Lucy and Dezi move to by the end of the series, I wouldn't be surprised if she decided Stoneybrook should be where her favorite characters are lol. I also consider writing Sharon and Richard in high school, would anyone be up for that?

Oh and Amalia and Luke are from mystery 24. Kristy wearing pink also comes from the books believe it or not.

Until next time happy reading! Please review!

Stoneybrook High School loomed over Kristy Thomas as she took a deep breath. She's been to the school before. She remembered Fred, the gargoyle above the entrance, and of course the tour the middle school offered.

The three-level red brick building didn't look scary.

That didn't stop the overwhelming feeling that washed over her though. Part of her wished that she went to Stoneybrook Day School which was all the grades. This was going to become her new normal for the new few years. Then college and then she'd have a full-time job. Kristy shook her head not wanting to focus on that.

"Hey," said Mary Anne as she slung her purse over her shoulder. "You look cute, I told you that you'd be comfortable if you had something like you would normally wear."

Kristy didn't even think about her outfit when she had the thought of SHS on her mind. Mary Anne had convinced her to try to look nice for the first day. She guessed that she looked good: jeans, new converse, and a fitted soft v neck pink and white striped tee. The only real difference between this and her normal wear was that that nothing was oversized. Mary Anne even had her wear her hair down.

She was quiet staring at the glass doors leading from the entrance that the busses stopped at, which was different from the main entrance.

Her mind flashed back to picking out her classes at the end of eighth grade. Everyone crammed in their homeroom classes wishing they could talk to their friends. She had honors classes with the recommendation of her teachers.

"Kristy!" said Mary Anne once more as she snapped out of it.

"Are you okay?"

"Not really," she said and shrugged. "Not much I can do about that now. I hope we have the same homeroom. Come on let's go and bother Sam, he'll tell us what's up."

"Are you sure that we should-"

"Yes," said Kristy grabbing her friend's arm. "Come on, we can find Sam and then we'll find the others."

By the others she meant Claudia, Stacey, and Abby. As for the rest of the BSC, well… They had said good-bye to Dawn back when she returned to California in August. Then Mallory for Riverbend the next day. Jessi was still at the middle school by herself. Shannon was at Stoneybrook Day like nothing changed. No one had really kept in contact with Logan since he and Mary Anne broke up.

Anyway, they had all promised to meet up before homeroom and figure out if they were together or not. Together, Mary Anne and Kristy looped their arms together and headed inside. As soon as they walked in, they could see the library and hallways on either side of them.

"How are we going to find them in this crowd?" asked Mary Anne as Kristy spotted them inside the library, the windows stretching across the front. It wasn't Sam but it was Stacey, Claudia, and Abby.

Why is it that everyone else looked as cool as a cucumber and she was mildly freaking out? Then again, Kristy remembered just how nervous she was when she graduated middle school. She took a deep breath and reminded herself that once she had a schedule; high school was no different than middle.

"Guess what?" said Claudia once they reached them. "All of us have Mrs. Martinez for science! We don't have to cross reference schedules for that class. Well maybe not at once but all of us have her as a teacher. She called me last night and said she was happy to see us in her class. Also, Kristy, she wants to know if you're willing to watch Luke and Amalia on Saturday. I can't believe I'm still getting calls about sitting jobs since school just started."

Oh, she knew them well and nodded.

"Yea, that'd be great I'd love to watch them. Anyway, so we compare schedules?" asked Kristy hoping to see her friends at least half the day.

They had whipped them out of binders and backpacks. The school had a block schedule, which was normal for them already, and eight periods. There were five basic classes, and three electives hat they could take. Claudia already had art classes on hers.

"I can't wait to have Mrs. Martinez," said Kristy relieved to see that they all did have her. She and Claudia and Mary Anne had her at the same time. Although Abby had her seventh period and Stacey second.

"She'll be great. It'll be like elementary school again when all three of us shared classes," said Claudia teasingly.

"And hey all of us do have one class together-together," said Stacey with a small wry smile. "Lunch."

"And that's one class we can't fail," said Abby with a laugh. "Do you want to sit together? At least today since it's the first and all."

"That sounds good with me," said Kristy quickly relieved and happy. "Guys?"

"Sure, that sounds great," said Mary Anne. "Just don't describe how it looks like something Shannon found outside digging around."

"Nah, I hear the food is much better than that. You know Pumpkin brought in a dead mouse and it-"

"Kristy," groaned Stacey rolling her eyes, but smiled anyway. "I saw Sam, he and his friends were very nice. They remembered me from when we put on Peter Pan together. We seem cool now though since I'm here."

"Oh yea Mary Anne we still need to go and bother him," said Kristy pulling her friend along with her. Above them a warning bell rang as Mary Anne just laughed as they headed to their home room together. Kristy sighed that she didn't bother her brother just yet. Maybe lunch she'll find him.

Laughing she headed toward their homeroom class. High school was going to be just fine.
