Long time no see lol. I'm finishing my series reread and wanted to write something with all of the Thomas kids in it (from Patrick's second and third marriages too!). Eddie is introduced as the son of his second wife and Alicia from Zoey in the first friends forever book. They're in this briefly and now I want to finish my BSC but its in the 19th century fic.
Age differences:
Charlie: 38
Sam: 36
Kristy: 34
DM: 28
Eddie: 24
Alicia: 20
Happy reading!
The Arboretum Society was closed down for the day. Which wasn't unusual if it wasn't for the reporter from the Stoneybrook News taking notes outside. Inside was the descendants of the original family that built the house. The Thomas' through Scott Thomas that is. The building brought Kristy back to the time she was in the eighth grade and helped find the original deed to the house. Then later discovering that she was related to Christina Thomas (and Cokie Mason ew) and then the renovations through the years to restore the house.
Inside Kristy, her brothers, and half sister gathered at the bottom of the steps. The historical society had restored the house to the original state it was in the 19th century. It was declared a historical site after all. They were all going to be interviewed about the restorations for the newspaper. They had really outdone themselves on this project and then moving onto other older buildings in the area. Kristy touched her pregnant abdomen and smiled. This was her second child she was pregnant with.
"You know I think I've been enjoying the east coast way more than the west coast," said Eddie, Kristy's half brother from Patrick's second marriage, as he looked around the old mansion. "Think I might move back here myself."
"I hope you do," said Kristy sincerely. She got used to the idea of having another brother in her life. Eddie seemed to blend in quite nicely despite the wide age gaps.
There was 10 years between her and him and 14 between him and Charlie. Then an 18 year difference between her half sister, Alicia, and Charlie. He and David Michael laughed about something that she couldn't quite catch. It was nice to have everyone together and close by honestly.
Kristy walked over to the grand staircase that went up to the second floor and bedrooms. They were getting set up to be historically accurate as well. Or at least as close to historically accurate.
"Hey Kristy," said Alicia (yet another half sister), "how's the baby feeling?"
"Just fine I'm glad to be sitting down though,'" she laughed, patting her six month pregnancy tummy. "How are you enjoying NYU?"
"Not too bad, their law program is pretty fantastic," she said, trying to shrug off her enthusiasm.
"I can't believe that this place used to belong to our family," said Charlie breaking the ice as he entered the living room from a back area. "I guess that explains how mom and dad seemed to have some money when we were growing up."
"But not too much," said Kristy, remembering they were tight to pay the bills from time to time. "Should we go and let the reporter in to interview us or do you want to look around some more?"
She glanced around the mostly empty room one last time. The crystal chandelier was here when they got electricity for the first time in Stoneybrook and it looked great inside honestly.
They all shared a brief look with each other before nodding that it was probably time. The news crew would be coming later to show off the grandeur of the building and yet another interview. They might as well get used to it.
Kristy just grinned to herself, she liked having all of these ties back to her hometown. Stoneybrook was a part of her family just as much as she was part of Stoneybrook. It was cool that she could say that and pass on this legacy to the next generation. She put a hand on her belly and wore a grin that said bring it on.
