Ever After
Hellboy and the BPRD
The three women just... appeared in a burst of shimmering green light. Prof Kate Corrigan, folklorist and consultant with the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, kind of gazed at them, stunned.
"All right, nobody move!" Hellboy ordered.
"A Prince of Hell?" the buxom blond woman in a witch outfit yelped.
'How does she know THAT?' Kate found herself wondering.
"SERIOUSLY?" the black haired woman in Japanese schoolgirl uniform blurted.
Kate forced herself out of her surprise and advanced on the three. "WHY did you three pop up in BPRD headquarters?" she demanded.
"BPRD?" the attractive mid-eastern woman wondered aloud.
"Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defence," Liv Sherman said dryly, flames dancing around her hands.
The schoolgirl lowered her sword as she said, "We mean you no harm, we're on a quest to find a missing person."
"I'm Kate Corrigan, that's Liz Sherman, and the big guy is Hellboy." Kate said to the three, introducing her allies.
"I'm Hazuki," the schoolgirl said, "this is Lilith and Quill."
"An' how did blonde there know I'm a Prince?" Hellboy asked, frowning at Lilith and noticing the eyeball on her hat was LOOKING at him. Weird.
"It's complicated," Lilith admitted.
Kate then looked at Hazuki and asked, "Missing person, you said?"
Hazuki explained, "We're looking for my sister, Hatsumi."
"Eve," Lilith corrected.
"Whichever," Hazuki shook her head.
Kate listened to the story, frowning thoughtfully. "I'm somewhat disturbed about how easy it is for you to travel between universes," she admitted.
"Oh?" Lilith asked.
Kate explained to them about the ancient evils trying to break INTO their universe and end it, for various reasons...
"Oh dear," Quill blinked.
Lilith looked equally disturbed. "This is one of the few universes where that happens," she admitted. "At least in my experience."
Hellboy sighed, "Damn. So our universe is uniquely fucked?"
"I guess so," Lilith nodded.
Kate noticed the door to the meeting room open, and watched the founder of the BPRD, Professor Trevor Bruttenholm enter.
Trevor stopped cold, "YOU WITCH!"
Lilith blinked, "Prof Button!"
"What." Hazuki blinked.
"You know her, Sir?" Kate asked, surprised.
Trevor scowled at Lilith, sitting down as he said, "We met in Russia, not too long after the first Great War."
"Was I right about the Demon?" Lilith asked curiously.
"Yes," Trevor conceded reluctantly, "Varvara turned on us, in the end."
Kate REALLY wondered what they were talking about, but clearly it predated her joining the organization. Huh.
"I'm sorry," Lilith shrugged, "I got the sense she sincerely liked you, but..."
"Hmm," Trevor nodded glumly.
Deciding to change the subject Kate addressed Hazuki, "You said you were looking for your sister. Is she somewhere near here?"
"We seem to appear somewhere near Hatsumi's location, yes," Hazuki noted.
"All right, let's fine up the computers," Kate said briskly, "maybe we can track your friend down, then get you out of here before something else happens."
"You think something will?" Quill asked as she and Hazuki followed Kate.
"The way things go around here?" Kate shrugged, "It's almost certain."

"WHY ARE THERE GIANT NAZI CYBORG GORILLAS?!" Lilith complained indignantly as the gorilla tried to carry her off.
"Capture them, my gorillas! For the glory of the Eternal Reich!" the swastika adorned cyborg yelled, "Especially the blond!"
"Oh come on," Hazuki grumbled as she cross blades with a German woman.
Inger used a German military saber, but crossed blades with surprising skill. "Japanese, you are... surprisingly comely," she noted. "If you yeild, I am certain I could convince Grandfather to give you to me."
"Oh, ICK," Hazuki growled, slapping her back.
Lilith had been grabbed by these Nazi goons, and Hazuki and Quill went to rescue her. Along came Hellboy and Liz Sherman, who apparently had a grudge to settle with him.
"CADEUS," Quill ordered, "Bombardment mode!"
Energy bolts from her device drove the attack gorillas back, even as Hellboy was fist fighting the giant cyborg.
"Give it up, Von Klempt!" Hellboy yelled as she shot his huge pistol at him.
"Never!" Von Klempt yelled back.
"Does this happen with you guys often?" Quill asked Liz curiously.
"Surprisingly, yes," Liz agreed before using her pyrokinetic abilities to set fire to a few of the gorillas.
"MINE PETS!" the old man yelped, alarmed.
Hazuki shattered the woman's saber, then slugged her unconscious. She turned and hurried over to where one of the gorillas was grabbing Lilith.
"About time!" Lilith complained.
"Why didn't you just zap it?" Hazuki asked after she cut off the mechanical hand the gorilla had been using to grasp her.
"The hand was plated in cold iron," Lilith noted.
Within a short time, the remaining nazis were contained and the three confronted the leader. "Why were you after Lilith?" Hazuki demanded.
Von Klempt looked sullen, "I will never talk."
Lightning crackled along Quill's staff. "Want to find out how much electricity your cyborg head will take?" she asked sweetly.
"Nein! Nein!" he yelped.
"Well?" Hellboy demanded.
"The blond girl, Eve, escaped me by magic! So I was determined to catch this other," Von Klempt explained.
"Hatsumi left, already?" Hazuki sighed.
"Yes," Von Klempt admitted, "weeks ago."
"DAMN IT!" Hazuki kicked a nearby wall.
"Sorry," Hellboy told her. "What you gonna do now?"
"We should probably move on," Lilith noted as the other two women nodded, "before something else happens."
"Please pass on my thanks to Kate and Prof Bruttenholm," Hazuki added as the three vanished in a burst of green light.
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear!
The group of adventurers were escorting a Lord, Gran Fahrengram, and his granddaughter, Misana. Sadly, they were in deep trouble.
EIGHT full sized orcs were attacking them, and the group was barely holding them off. They were strong monsters, and normally a average group of adventurers could MAYBE take a even number, but here they were outnumbered two to one.
"Elle!" Marina yelled in alarm as she tried to hold orcs away from the carriage, as she saw their mage about to be attacked. 'I can't get to...,' she thought desperately.
Without warning a black haired woman in strange clothing burst from the forest, then just sliced the orc in two in stunning ease.
"Ack!" Elle yelped as she was splashed with gore.
'What the hell?' Marina blinked.
Two other women emerged as the blond noted, "Hazuki! We didn't HAVE to get involved."
"Lilith, I'm not leaving innocents in danger," Hazuki replied firmly. "Quill, help the woan with the carriage, I'll assist the others."
"Right!" Quill agreed, the (apparent) mage blasting one orc and letting Marina deal with the other.
"Thank you," Marina said, "Who...?"
To be continued...
Motes: I always liked Hellboy. This chapter is NOT exactly Movie or Comics canon, however.
YES, I'm doing another Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear x-over.

Ever After
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear!
"There's is a LOT of magic in this universe," Quill noted as they appeared nearby a deserted road, surrounded by trees.
"I can feel it," Lilith agreed.
"It's not going to make it harder to find Hatsumi?" Hazuki checked.
"No, it's fine," Lilith reassured her.
Hazuki nodded, "Well, don't push yourself too hard..."
Lilith flashed a smile, "Okay, let's try to find where Eve is."
Hazuki kept her sword ready as Lilith activated the searching spell. Quill, nearby, was holding her staff and frowning.
"Trouble?" Hazuki asked.
"There's a LOT of life forms in the woods around us," Quill noted. "I'm not sure if they're hostile, but..."
"Huh. Best be on guard," Hazuki agreed.
Lilith pointed up the road, "That way. But there's a lot of magic that way, too."
"Well, let's go look," Hazuki started when they heard a scream.
Quill cursed as Hazuki raced off. "Most people run away from yelling," she sighed as they hurried after her.
"Well, that's Hazuki," Lilith shrugged.
They came around a corner, seeing a large group of humanoid monsters attacking several people. Eight huge humanoids, versus four people trying to guard a carriage. With no hesitation at all Hazuki raced in to cut one that was threatening a woman clear in half.
"Ack!" the mage-looking woman yelped as she was splashed with gore.
Lilith lead Quill forward as she complained, "Hazuki! We didn't HAVE to get involved."
"Lilith, I'm not leaving innocents in danger," Hazuki replied firmly. "Quill, help the woman with the carriage, I'll assist the others."
"Right!" Quill agreed, blasting one orc and letting the swordswoman deal with the other.
"Thank you," Marina said, "Who...?"
"We're.. travellers," Quill said, not sure how much she sould say.
Nearby, two warriors were facing off with four of the huge monsters, and Hazuki rushed to help them. She cut down one from behind, as the two reacted in surprise. She wondered what these fantasy style heroes thought of her school girl uniform...
Lilith was casually handling the last monster, and just blasted it with raw magic.
"Thank you," the leader of the group addressed Hazuki, "you saved us..." She seemed mildly stunned at how easily the three had turned the tide.
"I'm Hazuki," she introduced herself, "this is Lilith and Quill."
"Marina," the long haired swordswoman nodded, "that's Masrika, Iria and Elle."
Elle's clothes were somewhat shreded, and the busty mage was trying to cover herself awkwardly. She was also, annoyingly, looking at Hazuki with some interest. As usual, Hazuki was unaware of it...
"What are you doing out here in the woods?" Iria asked curiously.
"We're looking for a missing woman," Quill admitted and then explained to them about Hatsumi/Eve and her world travelling.
"And she's...?" Marina wondered.
"Roughtly that direction," Lilith pointed up the road.
"That's towards the Capital. We're headed that way too," Elle noted.
As they were talking a older man and young girl had gotten out of the carriage and walked over to them. "Thank you, all of you," the silver haired man said.
"This is Lord Gran Fahrengram, and his granddaughter, Misana," Marina said.
"What strange clothes," the little girkl noted. She smiled, "Pretty!"
"You're heading towards the Capital as well?" Gran asked them. He asked, "Why don't we all go together, then?"
"You trust complete strangers like this?" Quill had to ask.
"You could have just passed by and left us," Gran noted wisely.
"Point," Quill admitted.
(In another version of events, the bear clad adventurer Yuna became involved, but not here. The quick defeat of the orcs meant she didn't need to get involved, and instead just went around them to keep her two charges safe.)
"Please come!" Misana added, smiling shyly.
Lilith shrugged, "I don't mind either way."
"All right," Hazuki agreed.
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0
Marina was used to the responsibilities of being a party leader, and was somewhat wary of the three women at first. They might be planning to kidnap Lord Fahrengram, or try to grab his grandaughter in some plot! But...
"What." Marina watched as Hazuki CASUALLY cut multiple attacking wolves down.
Later...
"What." Elle blinked as Quill CASUALLY used her magic to shield them, AND blast a enemy to ribbons.
Later still...
"What." Iria blinked as Lilith FLOATED ALONG SIDE THE CARRIAGE, seemingly at will.
"These people are NOT normal adventurers," Masrika noted, the swordswoman shaking her head in disbelief that evening as they cooked dinner and made camp..
"I was worried they were plotting something, but they wouldn't need to trick us. They're strong enough to beat us all," Marina noted, shaking her head.
"I WANT that weird amulet Quill uses," Elle said intensely. "I'm sure it's the source of her magic," she added.
"We are NOT trying to fight her for it. She'd destroy us," Iria pointed out.
Elle slumped, "Oh yeah."
"Well, at least having them along means we're safer," Masrika noted. "And Misana seems fascinated with Miss Hazuki."
"Not that I can blame her..." Marina muttered softly. Miss Hazuki was really, really attractive in an odd kind of way.
As they were talking Hazuki walked up, still dressed in her strange garb. "Are we going to be standing watch tonight?' she asked.
"Please," Marina nodded.
"Trouble?" Hazuki asked insightfully.
"There's been an increase in monster activity on the highway," Iria noted with a sigh, "and of course, bandits."
"So the orc attack was unusual?" Hazuki checked.
"They don't normally go near the roads and such, yes," Marina said. "It's worrying..."
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0
"I noticed something odd," Quill started.
"We appeared here nowhere near Eve," Lilith finished for her, the three taking the first guard shift that night.
Hazuki poked the fire, keeping a wary eye out. "We usually pop up nearby where she appears," she nodded thoughtfully.
"Did the high levels of magic throw our arrival off?" Quill wondered.
"Or something else about this place," Hazuki mused. "It FEELS off, somehow."
Lilith nodded, "Even more so than other 'books; we've travelled into, this world feels created. I'm not sure how though."
"Can we do anything about it?" Quill asked reasonably.
Hazuki looked questioningly at Lilith.
Lilith shook her head, "Other than keep our guards up, no."
"Hopefully we can just find Hatsumi and get out of here," Hazuki sighed.
Quill sighed, "Somehow I doubt it'll be that easy."
The three were, of course, unaware of the large band of bandits that had been shadowing them farther down the road...
To be continued...
Notes: The Adventurers in Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear are REALLY weak compaired to Yuna, so I'm pretty much continuing that vs the Yamibo characters. Plus Quill, specifically, is probably more powerful than any of the sorcerers in the book, other than Yuna.

Ever After
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear! Two
Unaware, Yuna the adventurer made it to the capital, delivered her charge and settled in to enjoy the royal birthday celebrations.
"It was a really quiet trip," Fina noted.
"Probably another group of adventurers drew all the monster encounters to them," the very genre savy Yuna mused.
"That happens?" Lady Noa asked, the other little girl blinking.
"Hmm," Yuna nodded, "I sort of feel bad for them."
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0
"MORE OGRES?!" Lilith growled, annoyed.
The nearly nine foot tall humanoids charged out of the woods, clearly thinking they had the advantage in numbers.
"SHIELD," Quill ordered, putting up a barrier around the carriage.
"Wow!" Lady Misa cried, enchanted by the glowing sphere.
"I wish I could do that," Elle sighed, then cast magic arrow against an attacker.
"Miss Hazuki, you don't have to...," Marina started then Hazuki just CASUALLY chopped a Ogre in two.
"Damn," Iria muttered, as she, Marina and Marika attacked the other monsters.
"Hmph," Lilith grunted, quite willing to stay out of it.
Marika swung her huge sword, cutting down her own ogre. "Miss Quill, you okay?' she checked on the mage.
(They tended to worry about magic users in this world, as most had poor defense and limited attacks. They, obviously, hadn't met Yuna yet either.)
"I'm fine," Quill smiled sweetly, using multiple shields to fend off three ogres while everyone else was occupied.
"Wow," Marika muttered, then killed one of Quill's attackers.
The adventurers had to work together, mostly, as they needed two to take down one ogre. Meanwhile, Hazuki was cutting them down with a single strike, her odd curved blade glowing eerily.
"That has GOT to be a mythril sword," Iria sighed as the battle wound down.
"I've seen mythril swords, even THEY don't do that," Marika noted as everyone took care of wounds and harvested the monsters.
"I still can't believe you harvest monsters for meat and hides," Hazuki noted, clearly icked by the whole process.
"That and proof to the Guild we killed them," Marina nodded. "You're sure you don't want a share? You DID kill several."
"No, no, we're fine," Quill said firmly.
"Thank you," Lord Gran bowed, "there usually isn't THAT many monsters in these woods, especially near the capital."
"That was SO COOL," Lady Misa cheered.
As Misa was fangirling over Hazuki Quill addressed Gran, "Do you think there's something going on?"
"I fear so," Gran admitted.
"We can try to run to the Capital the rest of the way, but racing through the night is...," Marina said dubiously.
"We'd be that much more likely being jumped." Lilith agreed.
"I think it's best we rush, but not excessively," Gran sighed.
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0
Meanwhile, the group of robbers that had been shadowing the group had their own problems.
"WHY ARE THERE ALL THESE MONSTERS!" one yelled as they were mobbed.
"NO AMOUNT OF LOOT IS WORTH THIS!"
"Form up! They're just monsters!" the leader yelled desperately.
The Zamon Bandits had had a good plan, really. They were going to wait until the Guards were exhausted, then jump them, take the lord and lady then hold them for ransom. All simple and direct.
THEN those three women showed up.
Quill and Lilith were bad enough.. both seemed to be freakishly powerful mages. Then there was Hazuki, who's sword skills were frightening to see. She didn't seem to have THAT much finesse, but her power was incredible.
So they decided to wait, and hopefully jump them at night or something.
THEN the monsters started coming out of the woods in waves.
"Where are all these coming from?" one of his few mages asked.
"It's not normally this bad near the Capital! The Adventurers and the City Guard prune them back!"
"WELL THEY'RE NOT PRUNED NOW."
"Is that a WYVERN!" a warrior yelped, pointing above them.
"We are SO screwed," another whimpered.
Then soft laughter came from the woods.
"Who...?" a bandit yelled.
The man was in magician robes, but looked ragged, and interestingly he only had one arm. "Well, well," he murmured, "I am the former Court Mage, Ghoulzam."
"Ah crap, we're caught up in another villain's scheme," a genre savvy goon groaned.
"Indeed," Ghoulzam nodded, "monsters! Kill them for my magic!"
Then another wave of monsters swept in.
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0
Unaware the evil Sorcerer was 'eating' the band of bandits miles away from them, the adventurers made camp.
"We're about a day from the Capital," Marina noted, having taken this route before.
"I'm still sensing Eve's energies from around there, too," Lilith added, looking distastefully at the Orc meat that was grilling.
"Cooking monsters," Quill shook her head.
Hazuki was struck by the differences between the Quill she first met and the TSAB version of Quill. The cavegirl version, she was certain, would have had NO problem eating grilled whatever...
"Hmm?" Quill noticed her looking.
"Nothing," Hazuki smiled back. She added, "We should at least try it."
"I suppose," Lilith made a face.
Marika the heavy Swordswoman teased, "Why not try it, Miss Hazuki?"
"Sure," Hazuki took the meat on a stick and, admittedly hesitantly, took a bite.
Lilith blinked as Hazuki eagerly look another bite. "It's good?" she asked.
"It's pork, pretty much," Hazuki agreed once she swallowed. "Could use some spices but...,"
"Campfire cooking," Iria, the cook that night, shrugged. "But yeah, orc actually cooks up pretty tender, usually."
"Are all monsters edible?" Quill had to ask.
"God no," Elle jumped in, laughing. "Golems, obviously, are a no."
"And Goblin is nasty," Marina added. "We HAD to eat some when we were rock bottom adventurers starting out... never again."
"I'll keep that in mind," Lilith agreed.
"This IS good," Quill agreed, chowing down.
Even the lord and lady ate, though he at least looked nearly as uncomfortable. Probably used to plates and such. Though Hazuki remembered something about European Royals in the middle ages eating food by hand.
Once they were done dinner Marina sighed, "Okay, we'll dive up watches then..."
A loud crashing through the bush made Hazuki leap up, drawing her sword as everyone else took up battle positions.
The blood splattered man ran at them, armor torn and looking like he'd been beaten. "RUN!" he yelled.
"What..?" Elle blinked.
He ran right buy them, sprinting up the road as he moaned, "There's at least a thousand monsters coming!"
"THOUSAND?" Lord Gran echoed, stunned as they heard loud roars off in the distance.
"Shit," Hazuki muttered as the sounds QUICKLY got louder.
To be continued...
Notes: Yeah, mean to end there. Big fight coming next chapter. I am LOOSELY following the Light Novel version, NOT the anime, that skips over most of these side characters.
Not sure if I want Yuna in the final battle. It'll depend on how the chapter comes together.
Ever After
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear! Three
Back in the capital...
"Cliff?" Yuna blinked at she looked at the worried Ellelaura, Noa and Shia.
"There's reports of a LOT of monsters along the main route," Shia admitted, the sporty young woman adding, "I think Father is coming that road, too."
"How about I go get him?" Yuna offered, the bear suited adventurer smiling wryly.
"Please," Ellelaura said, the gorgeous noblewoman looking relieved.
"Be careful, though," Noa asked.
Fina nodded, "Yes, be careful Yuna."
"Don't worry," Yuna waved it off as she mounted one of her bears and set off, "it's probably just a couple of monsters."
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0
"There's at LEAST two thousand monsters converging on us," Quill declared, scanning the area with her device.
"TWO THOUSAND?!" Marina yelped, the leader of the adventurers paling.
"... we're dead," Elle said, the mage holding her staff.
Masrika groaned, "Fuck. Can we run?"
Quill shook her head, "They've encircled us."
Iria paled, "Shit. Okay, maybe we can break the clients out at least..."
Lady Misana and her Granfather were watching from the carriage, the olb man visibly pale. The little girl looked more excited than anything, but she was still young enough to feelk she and the heroes were all immortal.
Marina saw the monsters coming as she grimly asked, "Miss Hazuki, Lilith, Quill. Can we rely on your help?"
"Of course," Hazuki said, glowing sword in hand.
"Yes," Quill nodded.
Lilith groaned loudly. "If Hazuki is staying, I guess I have to."
"Good enough," Marina agreed, "Miss Quill, can you use your shields to force the monsters to come at us from just one direction?"
"Got it," Quill used her device to protect the carriage, then shielded their sides so the monsters cam in one direction.
"Iria, get your bow out. Elle, Lilith, can you throw spells into the mob?" Marina asked.
Lilith pushed up her sleeves, smiling evilly, "Sounds fun."
Iria was readying her bow as Elle nodded, "Will do."
Hazuki and Masrika stepped up beside Marina as the monsters charged them. "And we just fight?" Hazuki asked.
"Exactly," Marina agreed.
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0
Ghoulzam, former Court Mage and now evil Sorcerer, had spent the last decade learning forbidden magics and building a monster army to avenge himself on the King.
(Magic that, now, was eating him from the inside out. He had days, at best.)
But THAT didn't matter! He would have his REVENGE!
But still, he could feel impressed by what he was watching.
A group of adventurers were unlucky enough to be in the path of his army. They had realized they were surrounded, but refused to give into despair. Instead, they were fighting off his ogres, wolves and goblins valiantly.
'How is that mage keeping that magical barrier up?' Ghoulzam thought, admiringly. You usually needed an artifact to do that.
And WHO was the blonde mage?! She felt wierdly powerful, and he couldn't help noticing her bosom filling out her strange clothes. He was a man, after all. And she looked wierdly familiar.
The orc, goblin and wolf corpses were starting to pile up, and he frowned. 'How are three swordswomen killing THAT many of my monsters?!' he wondered.
The two seemed average, more or less. Each seemed able to handle a wolf or goblin alone, and they were fighting efficiently, trying to save their strength. The other, though... like the blond mage and the barrier master, she was dressed strangely. In her hand a sword blazed unearthly green, and she was cutting down eight foot tall orcs with a simple strike.
'HOW..,' Ghoulzam blinked. Only an extremely high level Adventurer with a mythril sword should have been able to do that. And the girl looked, at BEST, late teens.
The orcs were piling up, and there was a certain amount of distraction with the monsters eating each other and having problems with the corpses. Shockingly the group was holding them off, but he was SURE they could overwhelm them.
'Wait, WHAT?' Ghoulzam started as a BEAR charged in.
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0
"Ugh," Hazuki grunted as she cut another orc down.
It felt like they had been fighting hours, but it hadn't been THAT long. But Hazuki had never fought this long before, and she could actually feel herself getting tired.
The power she had (Eve's? Who knew?) had strengthened her, as well as granting her almost instant sword skills, but it wasn't limitless. Plus, it didn't seem to impact on her endurance all that much. She could feel herself starting to slow down, gradually.
"Rawr!" a orc got close enough to rake her arm with a clawed hand, and Hazuki cursed.
"HAZUKI!" Lilith yelped angrily.
"I've got it," Marina lunged, stabbing the orc in the chest.
Hazuki ripped some cloth from her skirt and hurriedly bound the wound. The adventurers had already run out of healing potions.
"I can't heal you AND hold the barrier," Quill apologized as orce surrounded them, hammering on her shield.
"I'm okay," Hazuki lied, stepping back in position as MORE orcs advanced.
"It's been nice meeting you," Masrika said with a sigh, equally exhausted.
"We STILL have a chance," Marina scolded her comrade.
Then off in the distance, they heard a loud roar, different from what they were already fighting.
"Another type of monster?" Hazuki groaned, looking around.
"Actually it sounds like a bear," Masrika admitted.
"Huh?' Hazuki looked at her.
"We got chased by a bear once, when we were rookies," Marina admitted.
Before they could add to that, the group saw THREE bears charge the monster horde from behind and begin to tear into them.
"What," Masrika blinked.
"How..?" Hazuki echoed.
"NEVER MIND! We've got them in a pincer now!" Marina barked.
0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0
Yuna and her two bear summons ripped into the monsters even as she took in the PILES of monster corpses.
'That's really impressive for normal adventurers,' Yuna mused as she fired wind blades into the orcs and her bears kept the goblins and wolves off her. Mind you, the one DID have a glowing sword, so she wasn't that normal, but STILL.
"Wait, is that a Japanese school uniform?" Yuna muttered aloud.
"HOW CAN THIS BE HAPPENING?! A angry male voice demanded.
The man emerged from the now heavily reduced monsters, dressed in a battered robe and, interestingly, only having one arm. He also looked REMARKABLY ill, too.
"My revenge, ruined by these fool adventurers and a girl in a bear costume?" he ranted.
Yuna drawled, "Well excuse me..."
"YOU..." the tattered man growled. "WORM! Kill them all!" he yelled as a absolutely HUGE giant worm reared up behind him.
"We're SO dead," one of the adventurers groaned loudly.
Yuna gestured with her bear gloves, "FIRE BEAR!"
Super concentrated fireballs in the form of bears formed around her, then flew right into the worm's mouth, frying the creature from within. "Wha." the adventures stared, stunned.
"WHAT," the raggedy villain echoed.
"BEAR PUNCH!" Yuna charged in and punched him out while he was distracted. Yuna quickly tied him up, then she and the adventurers mopped up the remaining monsters.
"Are those bear pajamas?" the Japanese schoolgirl clearly recognized them.
"Yup," Yuna agreed. "Japan?" she asked.
"You too?" the girl nodded. "Hazuki Azuma," she introduced herself.
"Yuna..." she paused, "long story."
Just then Cliff rode up, he and his guards looking confused. "Yuna?" he blinked.
"Cliff," Yuna said, "glad you're safe."

At almost the same time a mute, blond cook paused. It was her birthday, and she was turning sixteen.
'You nearly caught up to me,' Eve mused as she took her apron off and left the food stand.
"Hey, Milly!" the old man running the place called.
'But not quite,' Eve thought as she was engulfed in green light and disappeared.
