In the sky, a colossal battle fortress hung suspended—this was the flying aircraft carrier of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Director, there's a giant monster on the Williamsburg Bridge, preliminary assessments identify it as a massive lizard," reported a monitoring agent.

Director Nick Fury quickly glanced at the big screen, where satellite surveillance showed a giant lizard with green scales, sprinting at an incredible speed. Its sharp claws effortlessly tossed aside cars that obstructed its path, while its fierce maw, filled with sharp teeth, roared at the sky.

Fury furrowed his brow and said, "This appears to be a mutated creature. I'm not sure if it's a mutant or some bastard company's bioweapon that's escaped. Track the lizard's movements and see where it originated."

"Yes, sir."

The aircraft carrier was equipped with highly advanced technology, and the agents worked efficiently. Soon, a new image appeared on the big screen.

Director Fury saw a massive gash in the Osborn Corporation building and was immediately taken aback. "It seems Norman Osborn has gone completely mad in his attempts to cure his family's genetic diseases. Notify the operations department to capture this lizard…"

"Director, satellite surveillance has detected Spider-Man's movements. He seems to have entered the Williamsburg Bridge, and it looks like he intends to fight that giant lizard," an agent suddenly reported.

"Oh?" Fury said, intrigued. "Let's see how this little spider fights. Evaluate his combat capability to see if he would be suitable to join S.H.I.E.L.D."

"Yes, sir."

Before long, the agents called out again: "Director, Spider-Man hasn't entered the fight yet; that giant lizard is already battling a person."

"A person? Could it be a mutant?"

Director Fury focused on the screen, where a strong, muscular man was in fierce combat with the giant lizard, and it was a one-sided fight.

Ye Hai originally didn't want to get involved. As long as the giant lizard didn't trouble him, he was disinclined to intervene.

However, the lizard was causing too much chaos. It was tossing cars around like balls and was gradually getting closer to his position.

Ye Hai was hiding among the dense crowd, surrounded by terrified screams. Just as the massive lizard dashed toward a seven or eight-year-old little girl, he could no longer stand by. His psychic power ignited like gasoline, and his body launched forward like a cannonball.

To avoid attracting unwanted attention, he utilized his strong control over his cellular structure to transform into a muscular, robust man. His face changed as well, becoming angular and resolute, resembling a superhero—except without the red underwear worn on the outside.

"Boom!"

A strong sense of danger made the lizard's pupils widen. Before it could react, Ye Hai's powerful fists slammed into its scaled head, sending blood splattering as it howled in pain, helplessly crashing into two twisted cars.

After successfully landing a blow, Ye Hai looked down to see the little girl, wide-eyed and tearful, her sapphire-like eyes filled with fear, mouth agape, but making no sound.

Feeling a surge of compassion, he descended and picked up the little girl. Flying above the panicked crowd, he called out, "Whose child is this?"

"Mommy!" the little girl finally cried out.

Unfortunately, despite her desperate cries, no one came forward to claim her.

There's no mother who doesn't love her child; it seemed the little girl's mother was likely in grave danger.

Ye Hai landed on the bridge and stopped a well-dressed middle-aged woman, saying, "Excuse me, madam, could you please take care of this little girl? I need to deal with this giant lizard!"

The middle-aged woman was startled at first but, seeing Ye Hai seemed amicable and noticing the little girl's pitiable state, she quickly nodded. "Okay, okay, no problem."

"Thank you!"

Ye Hai took to the skies again, casting a shadow across the bridge. Due to his high speed, the friction with the air created a fierce sound, and he felt he could make himself even faster—speeding beyond the sound barrier was no problem. However, he wouldn't do that; otherwise, his clothing would catch fire, leaving him to dash around in his birthday suit like a superhero.

"Roar!"

The giant lizard let out a deafening roar, a primal sound filled with an air of dominance, like a king of the forest overlooking lesser beasts. It coldly glared at Ye Hai, its appearance utterly menacing.

Anyone who suddenly transforms from a weak form into a formidable being often feels an overwhelming sense of superiority, drunk on such power and unwilling to tolerate provocation or threats.

Ye Hai shared this mentality as he hovered above the giant lizard, taunting, "Are you challenging me? Do you really think a giant lizard is invincible?"

The lizard's eyes sparkled with intelligence, and its toothy mouth curled into a slight sneer, as if expressing great disdain.

This anthropomorphic expression caught Ye Hai off guard as he realized that this lizard was actually Doctor Connors, possessing human-like intelligence.
