Chapter 61: Things Change

(Midday, in the middle of Jump City)

The civilians moved about the buildings at pizza joints and shops while cars and motorcycles moved across the roads. The Teen Titans were walking among the people for an afternoon walk, enjoying this quiet day of peace after their battle with the Brotherhood of Evil. After making sure all the criminals were properly rounded up and sent to jail, especially after scaring Doctor Light to near death, the main team made sure to gift everyone with new Titan communicators and sent them all to their respective homes. Since then, the team has enjoyed a few days of peace and stayed home for some R&R until deciding to spend some time in town.

Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Raven, Sora, and Ravager walked together as a group, beholding their home city. Sora and Raven were holding hands while Ravager now sported a new black eyepatch with orange and black straps around her head.

"Our city is the greatest city ever." Beast Boy said.

"Paris was pretty great, don't you think?" Cyborg replied, placing his hands on Beast Boy's and Ravager's shoulders.

"Paris?" Raven asked, confused.

"I think he means after we put the Brotherhood away." Ravager said.

"Too bad, we never got to explore or tour around. Would've been a nice getaway." Sora replied, smiling at Raven, who returned it with her own.

"I do have to agree with Beast Boy. It sure is good to finally be back home." Robin spoke up as Starfire suddenly floated in the air.

"I, too, have missed our glorious city. I cannot wait to rent the videos and feast on the worms of sour gumminess." Starfire said with closed eyes in happiness. She opened them back up, only for her smile to disappear as she landed back on the ground while the others caught up to her and stared in shock at what was in front of them.

"The worms are gone!" Starfire exclaimed as everyone saw that the video store where they first talked to Starfire when she first arrived on Earth, now had a large close sign pasted across the front doors and the windows were boarded up.

"Woah! I'm sorry Starfire." Sora said as the Tamaranean looked down in sadness. Beast Boy slides next to her and grabs her hand.

"Come on, Star. Marlene's Candy Store is just around the corner." Beast Boy said as he dragged her around a nearby corner. "It's got the best peanut butter squares in town." The changeling continued until he suddenly stopped and let out a panicked cry as they only came upon a construction site for a new building. "My peanut butter squares are gone!" Beast Boy exclaimed. The others catch up to the two as they look to see the entire block now under construction, with some brickwork laid in for a basic view of the building's size.

"The whole block is gone. They're building a new office complex." Cyborg said, reading a nearby sign that was hanging from the fence around the construction site.

"Things sure have changed. Guess we've been away longer than we thought." Robin surmised.

"Couldn't have been that long right? We were only gone for a few months." Ravager said.

"Where am I gonna buy my books?" Raven asked.

"I don't remember any bookstore." Beast Boy replied.

"That's because you never bought a book." Raven retorted, making Beast Boy nod his head in agreement.

"The arts and crafts stores are gone too. They're where I got the supplies to make the lucky charms." Sora said, looking down while Raven placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, while he gripped her hand.

"And the sporting goods store too. They had all types of new knives and weapons there." Ravager said.

"And the auto parts shop that was next to the bookstore is gone, too." Cyborg said.

"I remember there used to be a toy shop or was it a barbershop? I distinctly remember it was some kind of shop." Beast Boy said.

"That narrows it down." Raven remarked. Starfire flew across the fence and next to the masonry, her back facing a brick wall.

"And I remember AJ's Music Store was over there." She spoke.

"Oh, that was a good place too. They had some great choices in music." Sora said. Starfire kept floating next to the wall, so she didn't notice a small pair of red eyes opening on the bricks and narrowing in on her. Suddenly, the owner of the eyes emerged from the wall, revealing it to be a large, humanoid-like creature made up of the actual blocks. Starfire took notice of the shape behind her and backed away in shock as the creature's body turned pure white and the face was a black and white mask with no nose or mouth. The team backed away in shock upon seeing the strange creature.

"I definitely don't remember that being there!" Cyborg exclaimed. The creature rises to its full height, revealing it to be three times taller than her. Starfire quickly flies away as the creature punches at her, only hitting the ground after she moved.

"Titans! Go!" Robin yelled as everyone charged. Starfire dodges a few more strikes and swipes from the creature as the Boy Wonder sprints toward it. He jumps over a ground slam from the creature, using its back as a springboard, and dives for a kick, only for the creature to quickly spin around and grab him by the boot. It then slams Robin into the dirt and throws him into the air, making him crash into Raven, sending the two flying across the street.

Beast Boy comes running in and quickly turns into a velociraptor, tackling the creature into the ground while snapping at it with his teeth. But with a single punch, the changeling is propelled up into the air, over the construction site, and crashes hard into a nearby lamppost. He turns back into a human and falls to the ground in a daze as a slab of rock bounces across the street and next to a group of civilians while throwing up a cloud of dust around them. Beast Boy shakes his head clear as he takes a closer look at the group, only for his eyes to widen at the sight of a blond-haired girl standing in the center of the crowd. She was slim, with long, straight hair, and large blue eyes. She was dressed like a schoolgirl: short-sleeved white shirt, black necktie, and a dark blue skirt. There was no denying it for Beast Boy; she looked suspiciously like…

"Terra?" He asked. The girl said nothing but continued to watch the fight along with the other people. "Terra!" He yelled again, running towards her when suddenly, a bulldozer was flung into the air and crashes into the pavement, skidding across the ground as he and the people took cover. The vehicle comes to a halt as Beast Boy stood up and looked back at where the girl was, only to see that she's vanished.

"Terra?" He asked in confusion. Beast Boy sighed before running back to the battle. Starfire was shooting multiple starbolts at the creature who leaped into the air and took the shots like they were nothing. The creature then tackles Starfire and drives her to the ground, creating a large crater around her. Cyborg then rushes in and starts delivering punches and hooks to the creature's face, making it slide across the dirt and crash into a pile of nearby construction girders. The creature stands up and places its hand on one of the girders, turning its whole body from pale white to the same grey material as the girder. It then grabs one of the steel beams and swings it like a baseball, hitting Cyborg and sending him flying into the side of a building, just below the roof level.

"Did it just…absorb the metal?! Ravager asked.

"What? What does that mean?" Sora asked.

"It means it can absorb any material it comes into contact with. It can adapt. We have to be careful with this thing. Try not to use any magic on it." Ravager said, sheathing her swords and pulling out her bo staff. Sora nodded and the two charged, striking the creature's face, and managing to bring it to the ground with a combined attack at both mask and face. They were about to attack again until the creature quickly punched Sora away and grabbed Ravager by the feet, slamming her to the ground and tossing her like a ragdoll into a nearby charging Robin, bringing them both down. Beast Boy suddenly dives in as a falcon before somersaulting and turning into an elephant, crashing into the ground, and sending the creature skidding across the ground and tumbling into a vat of wet cement. The creature stands to its feet while its body turned color to match the cement. It then extended its arms out like snakes and hit Beast Boy, covering him in cement. The changeling tried to fly away like a pterodactyl, but the cement quickly dried and hardened, freezing him in place.

Suddenly, Raven uses her powers to cut off the creature's arms, cutting through the hardened cement easily, while the unknown monster changed back to its normal form. Raven then creates a large arm and grabs the creature, heaving it over her shoulder and tossing it into the city. The monster smashes into the sidewalk before crashing into a fire hydrant, knocking it clean off and spraying water everywhere. The Titans recover and give chase, but it's too late as the creature's body turns into water and jumps through a nearby sewer grate. Everyone groups up around the grate as Starfire grabs it and easily rips it out of the ground, creating an access hole for everyone. Robin takes point and jumps in first with Starfire flying after him, Sora jumps in next and Raven floats in soon after.

"Why does it always have to be the sewer?" Cyborg asked, hesitantly. Ravager smiled and snuck up next to him.

"Let's go, big guy." She said, lightly pushing him in. Cyborg screams and almost tumbles over but he manages to right himself and land safely on his feet. Ravager soon jumps in after him, leaving only Beast Boy topside, who looked back at the spot where the blonde girl used to stand, now completely devoid of her and the group of people from before.

"There's only one way I'll know for sure." Beast Boy said to himself before running off.

(Later, in Slade's abandoned base)

Beast Boy walked through the underground path with a flashlight in hand to guide him toward where Terra's statue was last left. A few drops of water fell to the ground next to him as he stepped over some boulders and rocks.

"Hey, Terra! It's me, Beast Boy! Sorry I haven't been here in a while. Uh…how's it going? You're gonna think this is crazy, but…I thought I saw you today." Beast Boy said, moving his flashlight back and forth until the beam finally hit the pedestal he was looking for. "I guess it wasn't you because you're still a statue and all." The changeling continued until his light revealed the pedestal fully, making him stop and drop the light in shock. While the pedestal and the plaque he made remained, Terra's statue was now gone, along with the lucky charm that Sora made her and the picture frame that Stitch left for her.

"You're not still a statue! You're alive!" Beast Boy exclaimed.

(Later, back at the Titans Tower)

The team walked back through the tower's entrance after searching the sewers for the white creature but sadly came up short since it was able to blend in with the water. They also noticed that Beast Boy wasn't with them in the sewers, confusing them. When they arrived back on the island, Sora used his Water and Air magic to clean them of the smell and whatever else stuck to their shoes as they made their way to the Ops room.0

"That's the last time we go in the sewers. At least for a while." Raven replied.

"Still can't believe we lost that thing. What was it anyway?" Sora asked.

"No idea. It looks like it came outta nowhere. If it comes out again, we'll have to learn more about it." Robin suggested.

"It seemed to be some form of robot. Cyborg, were you able to…scan anything from it?" Starfire asked.

"Nothing. Whenever it adapted, I just read the compound it turned into. The steel, cement, and water, nada after that." Cyborg said.

"I'll see if I can get a tracking device or something onto it. See if we can learn anything." Rose replied as they walked into the Ops room.

"Well, how about we agree that the next time a creature goes down the sewer, I say we just let it go." Cyborg said, shuddering slightly until they saw Beast Boy typing vigorously away at the computer and a map on the screen.

"Well, at least we know where BB went." Sora replied as they walked up to him.

"Beast Boy, where were you?" Robin asked. In response, Beast Boy turned away from the computer and ran up to them in excitement.

"You guys aren't gonna believe this!" Beast Boy replied.

"You better have a good reason for bailing on us." Cyborg said.

"What was so important that you couldn't stay with the team?" Rose asked.

"We could have used your assistance." Starfire said.

"Guys, I'm sure Beast Boy had a good reason to leave. Maybe he was helping someone." Sora said.

"Well?" Raven asked.

"I saw Terra!" Beast Boy yelled out in excitement, shocking everyone all at once.

"What?!" Robin and Rose said.

"How?" Cyborg asked.

"When?" Sora and Raven asked.

"Where?" Starfire asked.

"I know! Isn't it great? I-I saw her downtown!" Beast Boy replied all giddily.

"Did she say anything?" Rose asked.

"I didn't actually get to talk to her. She was across the street, and when the creature attacked, she disappeared." Beast Boy said.

"You sure it was her?" Raven asked.

"Oh, I'm totally sure." Beast Boy replied.

"Maybe you just thought you saw her." Cyborg suggested.

"Sometimes, you want to see something that isn't there." Robin said, standing close to Beast Boy, though the changeling's face turned to anger at the thought.

"I did see her! She was real, a-and her statue is gone!" Beast Boy said.

"But how is that possible? She was turned into stone before our eyes." Starfire asked.

"Guys, did any of your spells work maybe?" Rose asked Sora and Raven, though they both shook their heads no.

"I tried everything I could. Nothing worked." Raven said.

"And the keyblade couldn't free her from it either." Sora said.

"And none of my chemical analyses ever led to an answer either. None of this is making any sense." Cyborg said. Everyone thought it over until Robin's eyes widened.

"Do you think it's possible when we defeated Trigon and everything was put back to normal, she was set free from her statue, like the people?" Robin asked, making everyone think of the possibility.

"It is possible. I can't believe we never bothered to check earlier." Sora said.

"Guys, it doesn't matter how she got back. Terra's back. It doesn't have to make sense." Beast Boy replied. Suddenly, the alarm goes off and the computers flare up to show an area in Jump City and a picture of the white creature running about.

"It's the creature! We'll talk about this later." Robin said, again making Beast Boy angry.

"You may not care about her, but Terra's out there somewhere. And I'm gonna find her." Beast Boy declared before shoving past everyone and running out of the room.

"Beast Boy wait!" Sora called out, but the green changeling ignored him and ran out as the door closed behind him.

"Someone should go after him." Rose said.

"We need to choose fast. That creature needs to be found." Robin said.

(Nighttime, at the abandoned amusement park)

Beast Boy landed in front of the shuttered game booths for the amusement park, hoping for any possible leads to find Terra, though he ended up with nothing. He hoped that something would bring the girl back here, but it turned out to be a false hope for him.

"There you are!" A voice said behind him and his face broke into a small smile when he saw Sora walking up to him.

"You came?" Beast Boy asked.

"We didn't want you searching by yourself and…Terra's our friend too." Sora said with a smile, making Beast Boy smile too.

"Sorry about that. I was just…excited to see her again and Robin was prioritizing that creature…" Beast Boy said.

"It's no problem. And I get why you're so happy. That's why I decided to come help you. Figured I might be a better help to you than fighting the creature too." Sora replied.

"How'd you find me anyway?" Beast Boy asked.

"Cyborg tracked your communicator here. Got here as soon as he pointed it out. So, do you have an idea of where to next?" Sora asked, surprising Beast Boy. "You knew her better than any of us. You'd have a better idea of where she would go. You take the lead." Sora said, making the green Titan nod and think to himself.

"There is another place. C'mon!" Beast Boy said, turning into a falcon and flying away with Sora gliding after him.

(Later, back at the construction site)

After checking out a diner that Beast Boy and Terra went to before the amusement park, the two Titans went back to the street where they fought the creature and where the changeling saw the blonde girl.

"And you said it was here that you saw her?" Sora asked.

"Clear as day, dude. It was her." Beast Boy replied.

"Hhm, well she must either live around here or something. Let's look around and see what we can find." Sora said. Beast Boy nodded and the two spent the afternoon searching across the city in the same area as the construction site. As the hours went by, the two boys eventually started to grow tired from their search and they came to a stop outside a nearby school at the entrance of the gates.

"Well, maybe we can search the other side of the city. Maybe she came down this way for something?" Sora proposed.

"Maybe." Beast Boy replied. Suddenly, the school bell went off, knocking them out of their exhaustion a little as they watched the students walk out of the building, all of them dressed in the same white shirt and black tie as Terra from earlier. The two look around at the crowd of students until Beast Boy let out a gasp and looked at someone.

"There she is!" Beast Boy said with a slack-jawed smile.

"You see her?! Where?" Sora asked, looking through the bars.

"In the middle of the yard. She's standing by herself." Beast Boy said, pointing her out. Sora followed his direction and his eyes landed on the blonde-haired girl who stood by herself with a textbook in hand and a look of unease in her eyes.

"It really is her." Sora said, amazed. Terra remained where she was as two girls walked up to her and started talking, making Terra smile and giggle with them. "She seems happy." He replied, turning his eyes to his teammate, who was completely starstruck at the former Titan while gripping the bars tightly in excitement.

"Hey. Terra! It's me! Beast Boy!" Beast Boy suddenly shouted out, catching the girls' attention.

"Beast Boy!" Sora quietly exclaimed.

"You know them?" One of the girls asked Terra, who shrugged nonchalantly as they all walked away. Beast Boy let out a sad moan before running around the gate and right in front of their path.

"Beast Boy wait!" Sora yelled chasing after him as the two stood in front of Terra and the girls, nervously waving at them.

"Sorry. You guys got the wrong girl." Terra finally said an awkward few seconds, making Beast Boy gasp in shock.

"Y-You don't remember us?" Beast Boy asked.

"Should I?" Terra asked in confusion.

"Uh, I'm Sora and this is Beast Boy. We're with the Teen Titans." Sora introduced them.

"We used to hang out together. Y-you thought I was funny." Beast Boy said, grinning uneasily and scratching his head, making Terra giggle and smile a little. "See? I can still make you laugh." He replied with a laugh, though that makes the smile on her face go away.

"Nice to meet you, but like I said, you've got the wrong girl." Terra said, turning around to walk home. Beast Boy quickly runs up to her and stops her with a hand on her shoulder.

"Maybe if we just talk, then you'll remember." Beast Boy said.

"I've gotta go." Terra said.

"Just one pizza? I'm buying. What have you got to lose?" Beast Boy said, a little desperately.

"Beast Boy, maybe we should- "Sora spoke up when suddenly the two girls literally slide in from each side of Terra and catch Beast Boy's hand in between their shoulders; letting Terra go and making the changeling whimper in pain.

"She's not interested." One of the girls said.

"Yeah. Listen to your friend and get lost, Brat Boy." The other girl said.

"It's Beast Boy." The Titan said in a downed tone before pulling his arm free. Sora walked up to him with a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Sorry for all of this." Sora said, with a sheepish smile as they walked away. Terra watched the two boys walk away before letting out a breath.

"Maybe one slice." Terra said, shocking everyone: her friends turn to look at her with wide eyes and question marks; Beast Boy had a face of pure joy and he lets out a yell of triumph and a thumbs up high in the sky; and Sora had a look of surprise on his face at her choice. Suddenly, Beast Boy ran past everyone and grabbed Terra by the hand and started dragging her away to the nearest pizza place.

"Oh, great! I'll take you to our favorite place!" Beast Boy exclaimed. Sora quickly moved past the girls and gave chase to Beast Boy.

"You sure you want to go with these guys?" One of the girls asked.

"It's okay. I'll see you tomorrow." Terra called out to them as the three left the school.

(Meanwhile, in an unknown street of Jump City)

The other group of Titans were searching everywhere for the white creature but were coming up short of any signs of it.

"I don't know what to scan for. Brick, metal, concrete, it could be anything." Cyborg said, turning off his forearm scanner. Raven walked next to him with her hands on her head, trying to sense for it.

"I'm not able to sense it either. I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I wish Beast Boy were here. Maybe he could follow the scent." Raven said.

"I am concerned for Beast Boy. Do you think Terra truly has returned?" Starfire asked everyone.

"He'll be fine, Sora's with him. But…anything's possible." Ravager said.

"If she is back, why would she not locate us?" Starfire asked.

"Last time we saw her, she wasn't exactly one of the good guys." Raven said.

"Maybe she didn't want to be found, Star. For now, we can only hope that it is her. And keep looking for that monster." Robin replied as they walked into a nearby alleyway, not one of them noticing the red eyes peering at the team from a nearby brick wall as the creature emerged from its hiding place, zooming in on them like a camera lens.

(Meanwhile, at the pizza joint)

The three teenagers took a seat at one of the tables as they awaited their pizzas with drinks in hand. As they waited, Beast Boy decided to pass the time by telling a story to Terra.

"And then, we pushed the Brain into the freezing machine." Beast Boy said, standing on his stool and gesturing around for dramatic effect. Sora facepalmed at the joke while taking a drink of his soda while Terra laughed, surprisingly.

"Brain freeze. That's funny." She said, laughing a little more while Beast Boy jumped down to his seat.

"Finally, someone gets my joke!" Beast Boy said, propping his head on one palm. Sora smiled a little before noticing his drink was empty.

"Looks like I need a refill. I'll be right back." Sora said, getting up and walking back into the joint, leaving Beast Boy and Terra alone.

"You haven't changed a bit, Terra." Beast Boy said, breaking the silence. Just as quickly, Terra's smile fades into a confused glance.

"Why do you keep calling me that?" Terra asked.

"Because you are Terra." Beast Boy replied.

"What makes you so sure?" She asked, taking a drink from her soda.

"You look like her, you…you talk like her, you laugh like her. Don't you remember anything from before?" Beast Boy asked. Terra sets her drink down on the table as the ice clinks against the glass.

"I just remember high school." Terra said.

"You used to live in the desert before joining the Teen Titans. You couldn't control your powers at first. Then Slade helped you, and you wanted to take over the city. But in the end, you couldn't go through with it. And you saved us all." Beast Boy revealed, making the girl look down in thought.

"Why would you want to be friends with someone who was so much trouble?"

"Because I know who she really is." Beast Boy said. Soon after, Sora walks back to them with his soda in one hand and their ordered pizza in the other as he set it on the table.

"Just in time. Hopefully, we're all hungry." Sora said.

"One supreme pizza with extra anchovies, hold the mushrooms. Just the way you like it." Beast Boy said, winking.

"I don't like anchovies. I'm allergic. I should get going." Terra replied, standing up and accidentally knocking over her glass, spilling the soda over the table.

"No, stay! I-I don't eat anchovies either. We'll get whatever you want." Beast Boy said.

"I've got a lot of homework and I need to get to the computer lab." Terra said, walking away from the table.

"We've got an awesome computer at the Tower! You can work there and be finished in half the time." Beast Boy said. Terra stops and turns back to face them while Beast Boy awaited her answer with a pleading look on his face.

"Uh, Beast Boy, I think we should-"Sora spoke up.

"Okay, but I've gotta be home before dark." Terra answered.

"Kay." Beast Boy said, happily, walking away with Terra and leaving Sora alone. The keyblade wielder let out a breath as he cleaned the table of the spill and left some money for the pizza and drinks, as well as an extra tip for the workers as he gave chase to his friend and the girl.

(Later, back at the Tower)

The three soon enter the Ops room as Terra took in the sight, amazed at the technology and the sight of the city the building gave.

"Wow! This is cool!" Terra said, softly.

"This is where the Titans get all their mission assignments. Over there's the kitchen, a-and that's where we play video games. See?" Beast Boy said nervously upon seeing the mess around the kitchen and couch.

"Must be nice to live here." Terra replied.

"You used to live here, too." Sora replied.

"I think I would remember living in a place like this." Terra replied, smiling faintly at the idea. Suddenly, the doors opened up and Stitch crawled in with a toy ball in his mouth, but immediately dropped upon seeing the familiar blond girl.

"Terra!" He screamed as he leaped right at her. Terra screamed and took cover behind Beast Boy while Sora quickly jumped into the air and grabbed Stitch, struggling to hold him.

"Stitch no! Calm down, buddy!" Sora said, while Stitch wiggled and squirmed in his grasp.

"What is that thing?! Some kind of mutant dog?" Terra asked from behind Beast Boy.

"More like an alien dog actually. It's a long story." Beast Boy said. Eventually, Sora managed to calm Stitch down and set him back on the ground.

"Stitch, you can't do that to her right now. I know you want to but not now, okay?" Sora said, confusing the blue creature.

"But…Terra?" Stitch said, pointing at her.

"I know, pal. But it's a long story. I'll tell you later, but right now, just try not to scare her like that, ok?" Sora said. Stitch sadly nodded as his ears flopped down before jumping over to the kitchen, looking for a snack. Sora sighed and turned back to face Beast Boy and Terra, who stepped from behind the changeling.

"Sorry about that. He gets really excited to see friends. He left you a picture of all of us together." Sora said.

"I definitely would've remembered that." Terra said.

"Then hopefully you'll remember this. Come on. I'll show you your room." Beast Boy said, leading them into the hallways that led to her old room. Sora opened the door and turned on the light to see that everything was exactly as it was before Slade's robots attacked: everything was freshly cleaned and repaired in a lasting hope that their lost teammate would return to them. Terra walked in first as she looked at the desert landscape on the walls and the night sky and stars on the ceiling.

"Stars, because you like to sleep outside." Beast Boy replied.

"Not me. I hate camping out. Too many bugs." Terra said as she looked around the room, eyeing an old lava lamp and the old heart-shaped metal box set on a dresser. She grabs it off the dresser and opens to the lid to reveal the mirror inside, though she stared at it with no immediate remembrance.

"I made that for you. Remember, Terra?" Beast Boy asked, hopefully.

"It's cute. Listen. I've really gotta go." She replied, closing the box and setting it down as she walked past the two boys. They both shared a worried glance as they walked after her onto the rocky island while the sun was setting.

"I'll give you a lift back to the city." Sora offered.

"Thanks. And hey, maybe your friend is out there somewhere. I hope you find her." She replied.

"I already have." Beast Boy said confidently. He picked up a small stone from the ground and tossed it into the water, making it skip across the surface a few times. He picked up another stone and held it out to her.

"Beast Boy-"Terra said.

"Come on. You've gotta remember! Something! Anything!" Beast Boy begged. She shakes her head no in response, making Beast Boy quickly pick up a fist full of wet dirt.

"You can move the earth!" Beast Boy said.

"Uh, Beast Boy-"Sora said, but it was too late as Beast Boy launched the glob of dirt right at Terra, expecting her to stop it in midair or something. Instead, the dirt hits her square in the face, covering her face and the top part of her shirt in mud. Beast Boy's jaw falls to the ground and his eyes bug out while Sora watched in shock at what happened.

"Why did you do that?!" Terra yelled through gritted teeth and an unyielding glare.

"Terra! I'm sorry!" Beast Boy replied.

"Take me back! Right now!" Terra yelled at Sora.

"Ok, ok. I'll take you back." Sora said, gliding into the air and taking her by the hand as she rose with him. They started flying away as Beast Boy yelled after them.

"Maybe you need more time to remember how to use your powers! I'll help you!" Beast Boy offered but fell on deft ears as Sora grew further away. He eventually reached the city and set her down gently on the side of the street.

"Thanks. Ugh, can't believe he did that! I just got this cleaned too!" Terra said, trying to wipe off the dirt from her face, hair, and shirt while Sora landed next to her.

"I can use my water magic if that might help." Sora offered.

"No thanks. I'll just take a shower when I get home." She said, making him nod.

"Can you make it back safely from here?" Sora asked.

"Yeah, I know the way. I'd better get going." Terra said walking away.

"Oh, and sorry again. He really didn't mean it. He just thought that-"Sora said to her, making her stop and speak, interrupting him.

"Look, I don't how many times I have to tell you guys but I'm not who you're looking for. I'm just a girl trying to get through school right now and really need some sleep. I hope you find your friend but please…just leave me alone." Terra said, walking away again, vanishing out of sight behind a passing bus. Sora watched her leave, letting out a breath, and glided back to the tower, more confused than anything.

(Meanwhile, at the city's Museum)

The team managed to pick up on the creature's trail and tracked it all night to the town's museum. The street outside had a few craters in it, and an overturned car parked in front of it. They walked through the large gallery using Cyborg's lights and Starfire's starbolts to illuminate their path.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are. We'll never find it!" Cyborg yelled, punching a nearby stone slab with hieroglyphics engraved on it.

"We'll find it. Keep on the lookout." Robin replied as they walked past the stone. As they did, the creature jumps out of the stone and drops its camouflage as it made a mad dash through the museum. It ran past the Titans and knocked over other items in its path as the team gave chase. Robin and Ravager tossed two tracking devices at the creature, managing to hit its back. The creature paid no mind to the devices as it leaped toward a display stand and crashed through it, leaping outside. The Titans follow after him and jump to the lower courtyard, only to see several statues surrounding them.

"You have got to be kidding me." Raven said.

"Have the trackers worked?" Starfire asked. Robin pulled out his communicator and started walking through the statues with the others behind him as he tracked the devices. It eventually led them to the edge of the courtyard where they found the two trackers hanging from a nearby lamppost.

"No…way." Ravager said.

"This thing is really getting on my nerves." Cyborg replied, as they looked out towards the far city and let out tired groans.

(Meanwhile, back at the amusement park)

Sora landed in front of the old House of Mirrors in the park and walked into the old and decaying house. The keyblade bearer walked past most of the destroyed mirrors until he came upon the circle of mirrors where Terra revealed her betrayal. Only now, Beast Boy stood alone, facing his own reflections. Sora stepped on a few glass shards, alerting the changeling to his presence as Sora walked up to him.

"I had a feeling you'd come back here." Sora replied.

"How is she?" Beast Boy asked, looking up at him.

"Still a little mad. But I told her that you didn't mean it. We can only hope that it helped." Sora said, making Beast Boy look down again.

"How could she have forgotten everything?" Beast Boy asked.

"I don't know, Beast Boy. But we need to be patient with her. Take things slowly." Sora replied.

"But how? There must be something I can say to help her remember." Beast Boy replied.

"Maybe she doesn't want to remember." A familiar voice suddenly echoed across the halls, putting the two on high alert as they looked for the source. A figure soon walked into the reflections of the mirrors, revealing it to be Slade while Sora and Beast Boy backed away from the glass.

"Slade! I should've realized you were behind this! Why did you bring Terra back?" Beast Boy asked, in anger as they summoned their keyblades.

"I had nothing to do with her return." Slade replied.

"Well, you must have done something to make her forget everything!" Sora said.

"I did nothing, Sora. If the girl does not remember or does not use her powers, it is because she chooses so." Slade said.

"Why wouldn't Terra want to remember? She was a hero! She had friends! She saved all of us!" Beast Boy exclaimed.

"Don't you see? She no longer wants to remember you." Slade said Beast Boy let out a roar of rage as he turned into a bull and charged into the mirrors, shattering them into pieces while turning into a bear and slicing at another with his claws. He then turned back into a human and slashed into a mirror with his keyblade. All the shards fall to the ground as the changeling tries to catch his breath while Sora walks up to him.

"Beast Boy, calm down. He's just trying to-Look out!" Sora screamed, looking up to see Slade dropping down at them with a fist at the ready. The two somersault out of the way as the masked criminal punches into the ground, creating a small hole in it.

"I won't let you hurt her again!" Beast Boy yelled.

"You're the one who is hurting her. Let her go." Slade replied. Beast Boy's eyes narrowed at the comment before quickly changing into a gorilla and roaring in intense ferocity. Beast Boy throws a large fist at the masked man, who quickly vaulted over him and kicks a charging Sora into a nearby mirror. Slade then blocks a punch from Beast Boy and counters with his own fist, pushing the Titan back. Slade continues with a flying kick that pushes Beast Boy back against a mirror, then follows up with another kick that propels him through the glass.

Sora throws his keyblade at Slade, who quickly dodged it as it stabbed into the wall next to him. Slade pulled out his own bo-staff as Sora recalled the keyblade and the two clashed in the middle of the room.

"Stop going after her, Slade!" Sora yelled.

"I am…it's you two who need to leave her alone." Slade replied before breaking the deadlock and bashing Sora in the chin, making him slide against the wall. The boy shook off the blow as Slade charged and swiped at him several times. Sora dodged and weaved the strikes as he kicked Slade in the chest, pushing him back a little. Sora struck at Slade with Ars Arcanum, with the final blow managing to break the staff in two. Sora was about to shoot a fire spell at him, but Slade quickly rushed next to him, dodging the blast and sweeping Sora's legs out from under him, bringing the boy to the ground. Slade was about to bring his foot down on Sora when suddenly Beast Boy, as a velociraptor, charged at Slade and bit down on the criminal's arm, dragging him clear across the room and smashing through the wall. Sora got up and ran into the new hole where he saw the changeling back in human form, looking for Slade.

"You alright?" Sora asked, creating a ball of light to illuminate the darkness.

"Yeah, c'mon." Beast Boy said, walking further in with Sora.

"Face it. She doesn't want to see you anymore." Slade said, his voice echoing.

"Leave Terra alone!" Beast Boy yelled back in a threatening tone. The two kept looking back and forth for Slade when suddenly the masked criminal snuck up behind them and punched Beast Boy out of the hole while grabbing Sora by the forearm and tossing him out as well. Slade runs out at them and delivers a flurry of punches at Beast Boy before grabbing him and flinging him into another wall. He then throws a few kicks at Sora's fist before grabbing Sora and throwing him straight into the ground. He was about to attack again when suddenly Beast Boy turns into a tiger and slashes at Slade's chest with his claws and keyblade, leaving a gouge across Slade's chest. The two grapple for a bit until Slade manages to toss Beast Boy to the ground while Sora tackles Slade into the mirror before slashing at him several times in a barrage of attacks. Slade manages to block the next slash with his forearm and kicks Sora away.

Beast Boy then turns into a grizzly bear and slashes at Slade, but the man jumps over the attack and brings his foot down heel first, to drive the changeling to the ground. Beast Boy quickly turns into a hummingbird and flies up to the ceiling before turning into a T. Rex. He crashes into the ground and roars loudly, shaking the whole building while Slade stood his ground and Sora moved out of the way of the dinosaur's large feet. Beast Boy brings down his giant head on Slade, knocking him flat on the ground before picking him up in his mouth and tossing him clear out of the building and crashing outside. Beast Boy soon follows by breaking through the entrance and charging straight for Slade while Sora glides after him.

The changeling stomps past the game booth and bites down on the masked criminal's legs, making him scream in pain as Beast Boy heads right for the mega coaster.

"Beast Boy wait!" Sora screamed out but his fellow Titan didn't listen as he smashed right into the coaster in a giant blast of smoke and fire. The collision was enough to bring the entire ride down on them as Sora quickly flew in to find his friend. He used a quick Aero spell to push all the smoke away until he finally saw Beast Boy standing atop of the ruins.

"Beast Boy! Are you ok?!" Sora asked.

"Yeah. He just always gets on my nerves." Beast Boy replied.

"I know. Where is Slade, by the way?" Sora asked. Beast Boy shrugged and the two looked around until they noticed Slade's forearm poking out of the mess of broken steel and concrete. They moved over a piece of broken rock to see Slade, only it was not the human Slade, but a robot duplicate that was now broken into pieces and crackling sparks.

"She doesn't want to see you anymore. She doesn't want to see you anymore. She doesn't want to see you anymore." The Slade robot repeated over and over on a loop.

"It was just a robot. We gotta tell the others about this now." Sora said, pulling out his communicator.

"But what about Terra?! If this is a robot, then the real Slade might be going after her right now. We gotta go!" Beast Boy said worriedly.

"We will Beast Boy! But if Slade is involved then we're going to need everyone on this. We'll get to her as soon as we can! I promise." Sora said, opening up his communicator. "Sora calling Robin. Sora calling Robin. Do you copy?" Sora said, while Beast Boy looked down at the Slade robot, remembering all the heinous acts that man did to Terra and him just so he could take over the world. It wasn't right and he wasn't going to stand by and let it happen again. Sora spoke into the communicator again but got no response until he heard Beast Boy transform and he turned around to see his teammate flying away as an eagle.

"Huh? Beast Boy, wait!" Sora yelled out but the green Titan didn't listen as he eventually flew out of sight. Sora was about to go after him when suddenly his communicator beeped, making him stop.

"This is Robin. Go ahead, Sora." Robin replied.

"Robin, we just had a run-in with one of Slade's duplicates. He was trying to get us to stop looking for Terra!" Sora said.

"What?! Are you guys ok?" Robin asked.

"Yeah, we're fine. But Beast Boy took off, probably to look for Terra again." Sora said.

"Understood. Meet up with us on the rooftops in the city. I'll send you the location and we can figure out our next step." Robin replied.

"Got it. See you guys soon." Sora said.

"And Sora…be careful." Robin said.

"I will be. Be there soon." Sora replied as he glided into the air and towards the location.

(Morning, in the middle of the city)

Sora was flying over the city for a little bit until he noticed Robin and the others standing on the rooftop of a small building. Ravager waved him down and he descended and touched down gently on the roof.

"Hey guys." Sora said. Raven was the first to hug him as they all crowded around him.

"We are glad to see you safe, Sora." Starfire replied.

"So, what happened? I thought you guys were looking for our rock and roller?" Cyborg asked.

"We did and we actually found her. She attends the local high school here…but she doesn't remember anything." Sora replied, surprising everyone.

"Nothing? Her powers? The time with us?" Raven asked and Sora shook his head no.

"We asked her about it, and she said she just remembers school. Nothing else. We took her to the pizza place we all go to and even to the Tower too. But nothing happened. Beast Boy even through some dirt at her but she didn't stop it." Sora replied. Everyone looked down in sadness and thought at the revelations.

"What happened with Slade?" Robin asked. Everyone paid attention to Sora as he began.

"After I took her back home, I found Beast Boy back at the amusement park where Terra revealed herself as Slade's apprentice. We were trying to figure out what to do next and then Slade appeared." Sora said.

"Did he have anything to do with her return maybe or her memory loss?" Ravager asked.

"He said he didn't but I wasn't sure if he was telling the truth. He kept telling us that she doesn't want to remember us, and that we should leave her alone. That's when he attacked us and in the process, we accidentally destroyed that old roller coaster." Sora said.

"Is this also when you discovered that he was a robot?" Starfire asked.

"Yeah. Beast Boy got worried that the real Slade was going after Terra, so he took off to go find her while I contacted you guys." Sora said. Robin placed his hands on his chin in thought while pacing back and forth.

"Well, we can only hope that Slade didn't find her or at the very least has any interest in her now." Robin said.

"It sounded like he wanted to discourage you two more than anything. My father rarely finds interest in things he can't use anymore, and if what he said is true about having nothing to do with it and that she lost her powers, then he may have no use for her now. Especially after she betrayed him too." Ravager said.

"So, she might be safe from Slade after all?" Sora asked.

"It's possible. But my father is also unpredictable. He might try to do something later and just keep an eye on her now." Ravager said.

"Well, I'm not sure what to do now. My best bet is that Beast Boy went back to the school where Terra goes. Any luck with that creature by the way?" Sora asked. In response, Cyborg spun around and slammed his fist onto the ledge, cracking the stone beneath it.

"That would be a no." Ravager said.

"Every time we catch up to it, it vanishes before our eyes!" Cyborg said with a snarl.

"We can't just wait for it to reappear." Raven replied.

"We won't. This thing is out to destroy everything. It's not stopping, and neither are we." Robin said.

"Sounds like you need some help. If Beast Boy is back at the school, then I should be able to help." Sora said.

"You are sure you don't want to see Terra again?" Starfire asked.

"I'm sure. Beast Boy was closer to her than any of us. I would just get in the way." Sora said. Everyone sadly smiled in agreement until they heard an explosion down below and they looked down to see the creature jumping out of the front of a store and knocking a nearby car across the street.

"There it is!" Ravager said, as everyone flew, jumped, or swung off the rooftop in pursuit. The creature leapfrogged across the cars, crushing each one as it went. Starfire, Sora, and Cyborg shoot bolts, beams, and blasts at the creature, but each narrowly misses as it stops and makes a hard turn to the right. Sora shoots another beam at the creature, almost managing to hit its side but it manages to punch through a nearby wall and run out towards the top of a dam that connects the city and the forest.

"Not so fast!" Raven yells, summoning power to her keyblade and pointing it at the dam as three blasts of energy erupted underneath the creature. It managed to avoid the first two but the third one managed to hit it and send it crashing into the trees and dragging across the dirt. The creature quickly gets to its feet and takes off again while missing another star bolt. It continues leapfrogging further into the forest as everyone gives chase.

"There's nowhere for you to hide!" Cyborg yelled as he fired a blast from his cannon. The creature jumped out of the way and continued its climb up the mountain while the Titans constantly pelted it with projectiles. The creature ran until they eventually reached the Recycle Center building. The creature punched through the wall, making a hole large enough for everyone to go through. The creature kept running to the complex until Ravager threw a rope that tied around its legs, restraining it and making it fall to the ground.

"Don't let it get away this time!" Sora said. The creature pulled free from the rope while Robin and Ravager threw multiple discs and knives at it, making it dodge out of the way. Raven meanwhile shot a beam of energy at the creature, hitting it in the chest and crash into the wall. It quickly stood up on a nearby catwalk and grabbed a nearby cart before tossing it at her. Raven put up a shield to block the cart, but the force was enough to push her back, and almost hit the wall.

"Raven!" Sora yelled, flying behind her and catching as he took the brunt of the hit. "You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah. Thanks." She said, with a small smile. Meanwhile, Starfire kept blasting at the creature, keeping it occupied while Cyborg ran up to it and deliver multiple hooks and punches in its face. He continues his combo until the creature dodges a punch and returns with its own punch, knocking Cyborg to the ground. The monster raises another punch but is intercepted by Robin and Ravager's grappling hooks snagging its arm. The two Titans tug hard on their end, putting the monster off balance and allowing Cyborg to uppercut it in the chin with his keyblade. It falls into a cart full of aluminum cans in a large track full of carts while Cyborg jumped in after it.

Sora and Raven got back up while Starfire flew above the cart to see a large electromagnet sliding overhead. Cyborg and the monster continued to struggle in the cart until the creature's skin turned aluminum while the Titan drove a punch into its jaw. Suddenly, a nearby electrical panel turns from red to green as the magnet up above turns on and with a sudden pull, Cyborg is lifted out of the cart and plastered spreadeagled on the surface of the magnet.

"Hey, Starfire, little help! Get me down from here!" Cyborg yelled out as the Tamaranean flew up and pulled on him. She eventually used her eye beams to snap the magnet's support, dropping them both into a pile of boxes. Meanwhile, Robin and Ravager were bashing away at the creature with their bo-staffs, managing to score hits on its midsection and head. The two swing their staffs in a roundhouse swing, bashing the creature in its legs and making it fall over into a stack of oil drums, spilling the contents all over it. Soon, the monster's body turns to match the oil. The two Titans leap to swing their staffs at the creature, but they both sink harmlessly through the oil. The two watch in disbelief as the monster repairs itself and grabs both of their staves and pulls them out while also grabbing onto both of their wrists and tossing them both into a pile of boxes.

Sora glides in and dashes past the creature while stabbing it multiple times with his sonic rave move, knocking it into the air. Raven then levitates one of the can carts into the air and swings it right into the creature's face, bulldozing it into the side of a nearby storage tank filled with molten metal. The creature uses the oil to reform itself above the cart before being shot by both Sora and Cyborg. The creature reforms the holes in its body until Cyborg's next shot hits the tank, creating a new hole and spilling out its flaming contents all over the creature. Everyone stands down as they wait for any sign of movement.

"Did we get it?" Sora asked. Suddenly, the metal swirls and reassembles itself back into the creature, now covered in flames, making Robin's eyes narrow.

"We need Beast Boy." Robin replied.

(Meanwhile, back at the school)

Beast Boy spent the whole day waiting for a chance to speak to Terra, who has been avoiding him the whole time while focusing on her schoolwork. Now after waiting for hours in the library, he finally had got a chance. They stood in front of the sunlit hall windows as they stared at each other.

"Okay, you've got two minutes." Terra said, impatiently while holding her books close to her chest.

"Maybe you don't remember, but I do. You're my friend. You're a Teen Titan." Beast Boy said.

"You're wrong." Terra replied, stepping out of the light.

"You don't belong here, Terra." Beast Boy said.

"Stop calling me that!" She demanded, pushing a lock of hair away from her left eye.

"It's who you are." Beast Boy continued.

"What do you want from me?" She asked, confused.

"Why can't things just go back to the way they were? You were so happy then." Beast Boy asked. Terra drops her head with a look of uncertainty.

Things were never the way you remember. Now just leave me alone." Terra said. In response, Beast Boy pulled out his communicator and held it out to her.

"Here. Take this, in case you're in trouble. In case you need me. You can call me anytime." Beast Boy offered.

"I don't need it." Terra replied.

"But…" Beast Boy argued.

"Time's up." She replied, turning to walk away.

"Terra…" Beast Boy said, making her stop and drop her head again with closed eyes.

"Things change, Beast Boy." Terra said, turning back to face him. "The girl you want me to be is just a memory." She continued. The two share another stare until Beast Boy's communicator went off.

"Come in, Beast Boy!" Robin said over it as he opened it to see his leader's face through a static-filled screen. "We need your help!" Robin continued until the transmission ended. Beast Boy closes his communicator and looks back at Terra with a pleading glance.

"Come with me." Beast Boy said, but again got another shake of the head from Terra.

"You go. You're the Teen Titan. That's who you are. That's not me. I'm not a hero. I'm not out to save the world. I'm not out to save the world. I'm just a girl with a geometry test next period, and I haven't studied." Terra said as she backed away slowly into the darkness of the hallway. Suddenly, the bell rings and classroom doors open to let the students out. Beast Boy remains standing in front of the hallways, with a broken heart as other students walked past him. With each passing student, Terra gets further and further away until eventually she is completely gone without a trace. Beast Boy sadly watches before pulling out his communicator again.

"Beast Boy to Robin. I'm on my way. Over." Beast Boy said before putting the communicator back in his belt. With that, Beast Boy makes a break for the doors, finding the determination to fight crime and protect the city as long as he is a Titan. No matter what happens.

(Meanwhile, back at the Recycle Center)

The fight raged on against the white creature as the Titans fought desperately against its new material. Everyone quickly moved out of the way as it shot waves of flames at them from its arms while Sora glided around it and shot Blizzard spells at it, freezing its arms. The monster quickly melted the ice and threw a fireball at him, knocking Sora out of the air. Raven quickly flew in and used her powers to grab the monster and slam it into the wall and floor multiple times before pinning it completely to the wall. In response, the monster grabbed onto her arm construct and set fire to it, making it spread all the way back to her. Raven tried to focus, but the intensity of the fire only grew, destroying her construct and making her fall to the ground.

"We need a plan! Figure out how to stop it." Ravager said, dodging another fireball.

"I have one, but we're going to need everyone here for it to work." Robin said, throwing his freeze discs at the monster's legs. Cyborg turned his keyblade into a cannon and shot it at the creature, creating a large hole in it while Starfire flew in and used her keyblade to slice the monster's legs out from under it. It melted the ice from Robin's discs and reformed itself before shooting two beams of flames at Cyborg and Starfire, pushing them against the wall and quickly solidifying the metal around them. Ravager and Robin quickly dived down and sliced the monster's arms off. The two started striking wildly at the monster, trying to find any weakness within while striking. Suddenly, the monster managed to grab both of their swords and Robin's keyblade and slammed them both together before tossing them at the wall, making them crash against it hard. The monster walked up to them and raised up its fists ready to end it when suddenly a green rhino barged in and slammed into the monster, making it fly and crash into a crate of supply boxes, setting fire to them. The rhino turned into Beast Boy as he ran up to Robin.

"Beast Boy! Good to see you." Robin said, standing back up while helping Ravager.

"Just in the nick of time too. You guys haven't beaten this thing yet?" Beast Boy asked while Sora and Raven freed Cyborg and Starfire from their molten trap and regrouped with the others.

So, anybody have a plan?" Sora asked as the creature stood back up.

"I have one. Did everybody notice how its eyes seem to zoom in on us like a camera? I think it's an android of some kind." Robin said, making everyone look into the monster's eyes.

"It makes sense. But this is some advanced technology for it to mimic materials like this." Ravager said.

"Yeah, and there is one element that we haven't hit it with yet: electricity." Robin said, making everyone gasp in surprise.

"Gah, why didn't we think of that earlier?!" Cyborg yelled.

"It now seems most obvious." Starfire said.

"But we may have to hit it all at once and if we change its material to water then it could conduct it more." Ravager said.

"A better plan than just hitting it with whatever." Raven said.

"Leave the water step to me, then when everyone is ready, hit it with everything we got." Sora said, flying into the air and over the monster as he dodged fireball after fireball. He then charged up his spell and shot a large ball of water at the creature, hitting and making it slam into a wall. Raven then created a constructed ball around it, so it had no choice but to absorb the water and slip out of it. It reformed itself back into its normal form and was about to attack again when Robin let out a yell.

"Beast Boy! Now!" He yelled. Beast Boy sprinted toward the creature and turned into a conducting electric eel while jumping right into the creature, electrocuting the inside of it and freezing it in place.

"All together everyone!" Sora yelled as he, Raven, Cyborg, and Starfire shot their best Thunder spells at the monster, while Robin threw electric discs and Ravager leaped and jammed her electric bo-staff right into the creature's face. Sparks soon started flying all over the building as the monster's body fazed in between the water and its normal white body until eventually, it let out a powerful explosion that sent everyone crashing into the walls or ceiling. Smoke filled the center as Sora, Robin, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire recovered and walked closer to the center of the explosion.

"Beast Boy! Ravager!" Sora yelled out, worried. Slowly, the two walked out of the smoke with black ash all over their faces and their hair sticking up, almost making everyone chuckle.

"Remind me to never do that again please." Beast Boy said, letting out a groan while falling to the ground but Cyborg was there to catch him.

"Same." Ravager said, taking her mask off to reveal a clean line between her face and the ash.

"Did we get it?" Starfire asked. Everyone looked to see the smoke fully clear to see that the monster was now torn to individual pieces from its arms and legs with sparking wires and cables inside to its now lone head with its red eyes going dark, indicating it fully shut down.

"Looks like it. I wonder what its deal was." Cyborg said.

"Let's see what we can learn." Robin said, walking up to the head and picking it up. He inspected it a little before pulling off the black and white mask, revealing more cables, computer chips, cards, and advanced motherboards inside. He dug around a little before pulling out a single card that had a symbol of a red hourglass with lines inside it rather than sand and initials underneath it.

"Project…Cadmus? Does that sound familiar to anyone?" Robin asked, but all he got were shaking heads. "We'll have to look into this more when we get back." He said, taking the head with him.

"We should get rid of the other parts while we can. Let's see if the molten metal will do." Ravager said. Raven nodded and used her powers to lift the pieces of the android into the tank of molten metal. She slowly set them in to make sure they could melt until the parts started to melt away into nothingness. She let them all drop in as everyone grouped up again.

"Let's get to work cleaning everything up now. Let's go guys." Robin said. Sora walked closer to Cyborg, who was still carrying Beast Boy on his shoulder.

"Hey, what happened with Terra?" Sora asked, making Beast Boy look down.

"I…had to let her go." Beast Boy replied. Sora nodded in understanding while placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry Beast Boy." Sora said as everyone left the recycle center to attend to their city.

(Nighttime, back at the Tower)

After cleaning up the city from all the attacks from the android and making sure everything was explained about it and what happened with Terra, the Titans finally returned home with nothing but sleep on their minds. Sora stepped into his room and let out a deep breath that he's been holding in all day. He quickly took off his shoes, gloves, and jacket and settled onto his bed while Stitch crawled into the room and got comfy on his own bed.

"Sorry that we were gone for awhile, Stitch. That monster wasn't easy to beat." Sora said.

"Its okay." Stitch said, burrowing his head further into his bed. Sora smiled and rubbed Stitch's fur, making the alien smile a little. He got comfy on his bed before closing his eyes, ready for sleep.

Sora instead found himself staring at a beautiful blue sky with clouds increasingly moving across the sun.

'Where am I?" Sora thought to himself as everything suddenly went black. He tried to move or say something when a voice spoke up.

They can take your world. They can take your heart. Cut you loose from all you know. But if it's your fate…then every step forward will always be a step closer to home.

'Was that…me?' Sora asked when suddenly the sky returned. He finally managed to look around and he looked down to see himself staring back at a reflection of himself, though now he was dressed in red and black clothes.

'Am I…standing on the sky?' He asked, taking a small step until his reflection rippled like water. 'Water…this is just a reflection.' He said until he looked up to see the blue sky quickly turn to night.

Suddenly, he saw a young man dressed in black clothes with white spiky hair sitting next to a chess board. The man looked out at the night sky to see a star shining bright purple, reflecting in his eyes.

'Who is that? He seems…familiar.' Sora said. The man turned his attention back to the board as he placed a piece onto the board. Suddenly, darkness erupted from the piece, completely overtaking the board and blocking Sora's eyesight.

Breath, should I take a deep?

Faith, should I take a leap?

'What's happening?!' Sora asked. The darkness then broke off into three wisps as they moved across a large landscape of forests and mountains until they came upon a familiar sight.

'They're…our home. The Land of Departure.' Sora said as the wisps of darkness started surrounding the castle, as Terra, Ventus, and Aqua ran into the front courtyard to see the darkness.

'Mom…Dad. Ventus.' Sora said. Suddenly, the darkness flowed past all of them as Terra's hair color changed to white and his eyes turned yellow as he let out a blast of energy from his body.

Taste, what a bittersweet

All my, all my life

Aqua tried to reach out to him, but the darkness eventually overwhelmed her, and she was swept away into the void. Ventus reached out for them, but the darkness swept him up and took him to his Dive to the Heart, where it showed him on one side and another person in a red and black jumpsuit and wielding a keyblade as well.

'Who is that boy? He looks like that guy from Quasimodo's cathedral.' Sora asked himself until he saw Ventus standing alone on the stain glass.

Let me face, let me face, let me face my fears.

Oh, let me face, let me face, let me face my fears.

Suddenly, the glass shattered beneath him, and he fell into the abyss that transitioned into the night sky while Ventus turned into a ball of light and fell towards Destiny Islands.

Won't be long, won't be long, I'm almost here.

'Home…' Sora said as night quickly shifted to day to show the passage of time and he could see his younger self, young Riku, and young Kairi running across the beach. 'It seems so long ago now.' He reminisced, thinking back to those days when everything was simple.

Watch me cry all my tears.

Watch me cry all my tears.

Suddenly, the man placed another piece on the board that flashed Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness and just like that, the darkness surrounded Destiny Islands, making the three teenagers stop.

Young Riku was surrounded by darkness until he eventually turned into Ansem. Young Sora reached out for him but the dark storm was so overwhelming, that he was swept away into the vortex. He reached out for Young Kairi as she was swept up in the wind as well, but failed as they were pulled away and young Sora fell into the chess piece that had a crown on it.

'I wanted to go back with her but…I couldn't leave Riku and King Mickey behind. I couldn't leave anyone behind.' Sora said. The young man looked the board while tossing a piece in his hand as a purple lightning bolt flashed across the window. He smirked a little as it flashed to young Sora still falling through the clouds until night turned to bright light. Young Sora looked out towards the sun as it reflected in his eye and flashed brightly to show a familiar boy wearing a black coat and had brown spiky hair.

Lose, don't have nothing to.

Space, this is what I choose.

'Roxas…' Sora said, seeing his Nobody sitting at the top of the Twilight Town clock tower and looking out at the afternoon sun. Roxas turned to see Axel sitting to his right and a girl with black hair and a black coat sitting on his left, all of them eating sea-salt ice cream. 'Axel too…but who is the girl? Was she in the Organization too? If so, I don't remember her or anyone mentioning her.' Sora said.

The three members joked and laughed on the tower while enjoying their ice cream until another piece is placed on the board that flashed Xemnas. Just like that, dark clouds flowed over the tower, making Roxas drop his ice cream and when he looked to his sides, Axel and the girl were gone. When he looked in front of him, the girl stood in front of him in the air with her back to him and her hood up covering her face.

A mile, could you walk in my shoes.

All your, all your life.

Roxas quickly stood up from the ledge and ran towards her as the dark clouds descended around the town. Just as he got close, she started fading away into particles of light and when he grabbed her arm, the only thing that was there was a thalassa seashell. A flash of the girl appeared for a second before fading away, making Roxas scream out in sadness and pain.

'Roxas…' Sora said quietly, not realizing that his nobody went through that sort of loss. As the particles of light faded away, Xemnas walked behind Roxas and with another gust of darkness, Roxas turned around to find himself standing in a giant version of the chess board while it was raining and Axel stood across from him. The two shared a silent stare for a second before they both summoned their weapons while Axel created a ring of flames around them and the two nobodies clashed in the middle.

Let me face, let me face, let me face my fears.

Oh, let me face, let me face, let me face my fears.

'I'll find a way to free you Roxas. Then you and Axel can hang out again.' Sora promised himself. Suddenly, all the chess pieces flew past him until it eventually came upon a piece that had a star on it. It then flashed to the secret place where Sora and Kairi drew their own pictures on the stone walls. Kairi placed her hand on the stone and let out a tear, which fell far into the deep and hit a ripple that Sora was falling into.

Won't be long, won't be long, I'm almost here.

Watch me cry all my tears.

The ripple caused a bright light that he reached out for, allowing him to turn back into the outfit that he's wearing now. He then summoned his keyblade and spun it around a bit before cutting a clean path of light in the darkness.

Roxas, Axel, the black-haired girl, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus looked to see a door of light open in front of them while Riku walked into the light as well.

'I can save everyone. I will.' Sora said as he watched his past self fighting Ansem, deflecting his dark blasts and bashing him away. Suddenly, another Organization member flew in with pink hair and a large scythe in hand as he launched a wave of energy at him.

'That member…I remember fighting his absent silhouette and his data, but I don't remember him.' Sora said, as he watched his younger self dodge the wave and jump towards the man while the scythe wielder dived at him with the weapon at the ready. When he swung, Sora stepped on the blade and jumped over him, using the large chess piece to launch himself at Xemnas, who clashed with him, before pushing the keyblade bearer back.

Watch me cry all my tears.

In a cloud of darkness, Xemnas changed his cloak into the black and white cloak he wore when they last fought him and the past Sora charged at Xemnas while charging his keyblade with blue energy. He then sliced past Xemnas, making electricity shoot out of the former Superior.

Sora then finds himself back on his island to see Kairi standing before him like when he first got home. They both rush to embrace until suddenly dark clouds surround them as they're revealed to be the star and crown piece set right next to each other. Another piece is set with a symbol of a goat on it and Sora looks up to see the young man flash into Master Xehanort through a lightning bolt outside.

'Xehanort…that was you?!' Sora said. Suddenly, he found himself and Kairi standing in a vast wasteland as platforms of rock rose from the ground, creating a large square around them. Spirals of darkness appeared on top of the platforms to reveal Master Xehanort and the real Organization XIII. Ansem sent two blasts of darkness at the two but Donald and Goofy appeared in front of them and blocked the attacks. Xemnas suddenly teleported behind them and was about to attack with his ethereal blades but was stopped by King Mickey's and Riku's keyblade. The two wielders arrive and retrieve their keyblades as they all formed up in preparation for the next attack.

Let me face, let me face, let me face my fears.

Oh, let me face, let me face, let me face my fears.

In response, Master Xehanort summoned his keyblade while Sora gathered light into his and shot a beam right into the dark clouds above, pushing them away and making a bright light appear, making even Xehanort pause and stare into it. Light overtakes everything before flashing back to the Young Xehanort, who was looking out of the window that now had sunlight shining in as he looked at the chess board to see a single piece still standing: the crown piece.

Won't be long, won't be long, I'm almost here.

Watch me cry all my tears.

'That's me, right? But then…where's everyone else?' Sora asked. The light shines again to show Sora dressed in red and black clothes again and standing back in the sea of mirrors under a single ray of light. He looks down from the light to see that he was now holding the goat chess piece in his hand before looking up to see Kingdom Hearts shining through the clouds.

'How do I have that?' Sora asked. Suddenly, the dark clouds part, and everyone appears around Sora in a burst of light: Riku, Kairi, Donald, Goofy, King Mickey, Roxas, Axel, the black-haired girl, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua all standing together under the light.

Sora suddenly woke up with a start after that dream, letting out a breath after everything he just saw. He got up from his bed and looked out the window at the night sky.

"That was…It felt like a memory, dream, and vision all at once. Was that telling me what's going to happen?" Sora said. Suddenly, his crown glowed lightly blue, catching his attention. He walked over to it and picked it up, seeing the glow get brighter before going out.

"I…think it's time for me to go back. But…" Sora said, sadly when suddenly someone knocked on his door. He put his necklace on and walked over to the door to see Raven on the other side, sans cloak.

"Oh hey. Are you okay?" Sora asked.

"I'm okay. I just wanted to see if you were okay. I…sensed your emotions again." Raven said.

"Oh, I just had…a strange dream is all. Just left me really confused is all." Sora said, letting Raven into his room.

"Did you wanna talk about it?" Raven asked.

"Sure. But maybe tomorrow. I feel like I might have to explain it to all of you. Plus, I'm really tired from today." Sora said.

"Ok. As long as you promise not to leave anything out." Raven said.

"I promise…Did you want to stay with me for tonight?" Sora asked, making her smile a little.

"I would like that." She said, as they both got comfy and fell asleep on Sora's bed.

"I love you, Sora. Good night." Raven said.

"I love you too, Raven." Sora replied, both succumbing to sleep.

And that is the end of Season 5! WHHOOOOOOOOO! And going right into the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 3! Ooh boy, am I excited! First off, I'm sorry that this chapter took so long to get out. I was intending to get it out on Valentine's Day, but it ended up taking longer than expected and then I got sick over the weekend, just a lot came up, so I wasn't able to write as much. But I hope you guys enjoyed this ending and the build-up for the game! Oh boy, I can't wait! Now, onto the reviews:

XenoBlaze: You're very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, I wanted to give Rose a little bit more development and unfortunately, I wasn't able to at the beginning, so my next bet was now. Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully, you enjoyed this chapter as well.

Ian12091995: Thank you. Happy New Years to you and Happy Valentine's Day. Hope you enjoyed the last chapter and this chapter as well.

NinjaFang1331: Thank you and yeah I thought it would make for a good bit of development for Rose. And of course, Beast Boy was getting his keyblade.

KINGKAIJU5: You'll have to wait and see my friend. But it will be sad, nonetheless.

Coco Baldwin: Thank you so much. Glad you love it so much. Now to bring on the game! Merry Christmas, Happy New Years, and Happy Valentines Day.

Althea Sirius: It truly is my friend! Can't wait to write it!

Guest1: So, season 6 will be the KH3 section that will end this story. Then I'll do another story that will cover the Trouble in Tokyo movie.

Ruby34: As much as I would love to do that story. I haven't played Red Dead Redemption 2 and haven't seen KND for a long time. So, even if I did, I wouldn't be able to do them justice like I do in this story. I'm really sorry, but I'm sure there is a writer who knows those stories that can do them well.

Gry26: More than likely yes, she would be the next in charge.

Herobrine362910: That would've been hilarious to see or read. But all that's happened in this show will be nothing compared to what happens in KH3.

Cman6465: My friend, you better believe she'll be angry with everyone who even hurt him in anyway.

3bodyjaa: Thank you.

I hope you all are staying safe as 2023 progresses and I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day with the person you loved the most or just had a great day all together. I'm so thankful that you all gave my story a chance and gave me the encouragement to keep going. If you wish to see more, please favor and follow to stay up to date. If you have any questions, ideas, or suggestions you like to share, please leave a review or PM me at any time. I'll answer as soon as I can. Happy February everyone and I'll see you in the next chapters! Peace!
