Chapter 65: Twilight Town

(In the Ocean Between)

The large Gummi Ship flew through the open ocean of space as it transported Sora, Donald, Goofy, Jiminy, and the Teen Titans to their next world. Everyone was in the cockpit except Sora since he was changing into the new clothes gifted to him. Donald and Goofy were checking the ship's statistics and their current position while the Titans were helping where they could.

"So, where to next?" Robin asked.

"Man, I hope it's another cool one like Olympus! That was so cool!" Beast Boy said in excitement.

"Anywhere would surely be a sight to behold." Starfire said.

"As long as it has some action. I'm up for anything." Cyborg replied.

"I think we should wait until Sora comes back. He is the one leading this journey after all." Raven replied.

"She's right. Without Sora, we would be all sorts of lost." Goofy replied.

"Yeah, he does have his moments." Donald spoke up. Suddenly, they heard the door leading to the cockpit open and the boy in question walked in.

"Aw, thanks guys." Sora said with his trademark smile up.

"WOW!" Everyone gasped at Sora's new clothes. He now was sporting a black jacket with grey pockets and grey stripes on each sleeve; the hood, sleeves, and jacket had a red lining, and six buttons on the front. Underneath the jacket, he wore a black tank top with a V-neck style collar and white lining. Instead of his gloves, they were now gauntlets with red linings and grey circles on the backs with yellow buckled straps around the wrists while showing the palms of his hands. His shorts were black and stopped at his ankles with several grey pockets, a red band wrapped around each pant leg and his boots were smaller than his previous ones with yellow and black stripes around them. And of course, his crown necklace was around his neck for all to see.

"Digging the new look, Spike." Cyborg complimented.

"Yeah, nice and sleek!" Beast Boy exclaimed.

"Marvelous look, Sora!" Starfire said while Robin nodded with a smile on his face.

"Gwarsh, those fairies really went all out for you, huh Sora?" Goofy said.

"Yeah, they did. If I ever see them again, I'm gonna have to really thank them." Sora said, slightly adjusting his clothes. Raven walked over to him and helped.

"You look dashing, Sora." Raven said with a smile.

"Thanks, it was time for a change, I guess." Sora said.

"I can see that. But a part of me will miss the old outfit." Raven said.

"Me too. That's why it's tucked away in a box in my closet." Sora replied as he reached into his pocket to grab something. "Chip and Dale also gave me this too." He said, pulling out a small device made from Gummi Blocks.

"Ooh, what is it? Some sort of toy?" Beast Boy asked, zipping over to take a look.

"No, it looks like a communication device. Like our communicators." Sora said. Cyborg got up from his chair and inspected the device while Robin pulled out his communicator to compare the two.

"This Gummi material is super advanced. I want to see how it can create these wireless connections out here." Cyborg said, about to try and connect to the device when it suddenly started to vibrate and play a small ringtone. Everyone leaned over to see who was calling Sora as he pressed the answer button. The screen on the phone flashed for a second before showing a desk with a familiar chipmunk standing on it. The chipmunk had two bucked teeth, a large red nose, light-colored fur, and a mohawk on his head. He also wore a yellow and orange apron and brown gloves. The desk was in the middle of what Sora recognized as the Disney Castle's Library.

"Hurray! It works!" The chipmunk celebrated, making everyone lean over to see who was talking.

"Dale!" Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Jiminy called out, surprising the new world travelers.

"Wait? As in…" Beast Boy questioned excitedly while Cyborg bounced with the same energy.

"Hey, Chipper, the phones work! I got him!" Dale shouted to someone offscreen. That someone soon came running in to reveal Dale's brother, Chip, who looked identical to Dale, but instead had a black nose and his two teeth were together.

"Yes! The system is up and running! Good to see ya, guys!" Chip replied.

"Chip and Dale, too! Dude, who are we gonna see next?!" Beast Boy exclaimed, but Robin managed to shush him so they could hear.

"Hey, Chip. So, you two created these phones, right?" Sora asked.

"Yup, that way we can tell you about any recent updates directly instead of leaving messages for ya." Chip said.

"And boy, do we have a lot of stuff to tell ya!" Dale spoke up.

"We called several times, but you must've been busy with something cause you never picked up. We were worried there was something wrong with the phones." Chip said.

"Well, that would explain the missed calls in the recent tab." Sora said under his breath.

"So, what are these updates?" Raven spoke up, while Sora moved the phone to show her in the frame.

"Oh, hi there, miss. Didn't see ya there." Chip replied.

"Well, howdy do, Chip! Looks like Sora went and found some new pals. Well, he's Chip and I'm Dale." Dale replied.

"Oh, they are just so cute and adorable!" Starfire said, making the two chipmunks laugh.

"She's Starfire and I'm Robin." Robin answered for the both of them.

"Just how many adventures did you guys go on?!" Beast Boy suddenly yelled out but was restrained by Cyborg.

"I'm Cyborg, he's Beast Boy. Please ignore him." Cyborg replied.

"And this is Raven." Sora said, as said Titan waved. "Now what's going on?" Sora asked.

"Well, back when you and Riku went through the Sleeping Worlds, Riku found some secret research that Ansem the Wise hid inside you." Chip replied.

"Hid what inside of Sora?!" the Titans asked.

"Research data! More specifically, Ansem's Code!" Dale said, confusing the Titans even more.

"Mm-hmm and we've been working our tails off tryin' to crack it and see what it says." Chip said.

"And any luck?" Donald asked. Suddenly, the screen changed to the Radiant Garden's castle laboratory, and a man standing on the other side of the screen. He had steel-blue hair that was parted into long bangs that covered the right side of his face and showed only his left blue eye. He also wore a long white lab coat with a purple ascot tied around his neck, knee-high silver trimmed boots, a white dress shirt, and a grey sweater vest under the coat.

"Unfortunately, the data has been encrypted, so we've only deciphered some of it." The man said in a cool and calm tone.

"Huh? Who are-"Sora asked.

"Oh, that's right…we haven't spoken since the castle. Or the other you I might add. I'm Ienzo. Formerly Zexion of Organization XIII." Ienzo said.

"Oh, you were one of those Absent Silhouettes that we fought before." Sora said.

"The one with the illusion book, right?" Goofy said.

"Hhm, yes. Not a life I like to remember. Some of the other members are here as well. Aeleus as well." Ienzo said, moving the camera to focus on another man behind him, who was moving some supplies around and gathering tools to better space out the lab and repair the damages. He was a tall, large man with a square chin, blue eyes, and auburn hair slicked back into messy spikes. He wore a grey guard uniform with white cuffs and a red heart on his chest. Sora took a closer look to recognize him as the Earth-based Organization member. Aeleus looked toward the phone upon the mention of his name but let out a soft grunt and went back to his work.

"Aeleus, whatever happened between you and Roxas is in the past. Are you sure you don't want to say anything?" Ienzo offered.

"I don't deserve to speak to him. Not after what we've done." Aeleus said quietly, looking down and walking out of the room. Ienzo let out a sigh with a small smile on his face.

"One step at a time. Sora, the reason we're here now is that you and your friends defeated our Nobodies, and somewhere along the line, our Heartless were destroyed, thereby 'recompleting' us. Make no mistake, we cast off our hearts by choice, but we didn't know that Xehanort or Xemnas at the time, was deceiving us." Ienzo said. The Titans could only hold onto their heads to make sure they didn't pop off with all the info they were absorbing.

"But you're not with them anymore, right?" Donald asked.

"No, Donald. Xemnas and Xehanort have no hold over us now. We're just students of the heart, the same as we were before this began." Ienzo replied. Sora, Donald, and Goofy shared a glance of contemplation with Ienzo's statement.

"Is that Sora?! I hear Donald and he's never away from that boy!" a female voice yelled out on Ienzo's side, making the scientist roll his eyes.

"Who is that?" Robin asked.

"Sounds like- "Sora said, but was interrupted by someone softly tackling Ienzo and wrestling the phone away from him.

"No, don't take the- I need to talk to him!" Ienzo's voice yelled out.

"Just for a second Ienzie! I haven't seen him for awhile!" the voice said as the camera focused on the now visible young girl with short black hair and was dressed in black ninja clothes. "Hi, Sora!" she said, happily.

"Yuffie!" Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Jiminy exclaimed together while the Titans waved at the new arrival.

"Hi, Donald, Goofy, Jiminy, and oh new people! Well, I'm the Great Ninja Yuffie!" Yuffie said, dramatically posing like a ninja, making everyone laugh at her antics.

"These are my friends the Teen Titans. Robin, Raven, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Starfire." Sora said as everyone waved.

"It's nice to meet you, Yuffie." Robin said.

"Nice to meet you all. Can't wait to meet you instead of through this thing." Yuffie said when someone suddenly snatched the phone away from her. "What? Hey, I wasn't done!" Yuffie called out as the camera focused back on Ienzo.

"That was more than a second. Now please get back to work, Yuffie." Ienzo said, making the ninja stomp her foot.

"Ugh fine. You're more of a buzzkill than Leon. Talk to you soon, Sora!" Yuffie said, waving goodbye before zipping away. Ienzo sighed and straightened his coat and ascot before continuing.

"As I was going to say, I understand if you're still suspicious of our intentions, but we have friends we want to bring back to this world, just the same as you. And so, we have to work together. In that spirit, Sora, I've been working with Tron on the research Riku recovered and we found some intriguing data in the bit of code we deciphered." Ienzo said.

"Tron is there?!" Donald asked.

"Yes, I've been here the whole time, Donald." a digitized voice spoke through the phone, startling everyone on the ship. The screen of the phone went black and white for a bit before forming a digitized figure with light blue skin and covered head-to-toe in grey armor.

"Greetings friends. It has been some time." Tron said with a smile.

"Hey, Tron. Good to see you." Sora with the brightest smile, specifically remembering what happened back in the Grid.

"You know a computer program?!" Cyborg asked.

"Seriously, how many people do you know?" Raven asked.

"Too many to count." Sora said.

"And greetings to your new User friends. My name is Tron and I'm the Master Control Program to the Radiant Garden's mainframe." Tron replied. Beast Boy pulled Raven aside with a face of pure shock.

"I can't believe I just talked to Chip and Dale and now Tron in just a few minutes." Beast Boy said.

"Believe it, now shush." Raven said.

"How are you talking through the phone, Tron?" Goofy asked. The screen fizzled out before changing back to Chip and Dale.

"When we were building the phone, we thought it would be a good idea to add a feature that could update info on the fly without manually adding it in." Chip said, as the screen changed back to Ienzo.

"When they proposed the idea to me, I suggested implementing Tron to the system so he can keep everyone connected and up to date on new developments. All info will be saved in Tron's databanks so that nothing will be lost or compromised." Ienzo said.

"Any pictures, videos you take or enemies you encounter will be saved onto the system so that everyone will be up to date on the Heartless or Nobodies and what to expect in future encounters. And Jiminy, I also downloaded an application for your journal so I can update it for you or add your own notes." Tron said.

"Wow, that is mighty helpful, Tron. Thanks." Jiminy said.

"I'll be online 24/7, so if anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to answer." Tron said. In response, the Teen Titans all raised their hands.

"We all have the questions, Tron." Starfire said.

"Uh, maybe just one at a time." Tron said with a chuckle.

"I have one. The data you have, is it about me?" Sora asked. The screen phased out before changing back to Ienzo.

"It is. To piece your memories back together, Master Ansem took a close look at your heart. And what he found…is that your heart doesn't belong just to you." Ienzo said, startling everyone on the ship.

"It doesn't?" Donald and Goofy asked together.

"But that's impossible. I've done a scan on him and it's only just one heart in there." Cyborg said.

"But that would explain all the energy he has. And not that Flowy magic stuff." Beast Boy said.

"Yes, and I have nine stomachs, so it would not be unnatural for friend Sora to have two hearts." Starfire said, making everyone look at her in confusion, making her giggle.

"Your friends are new to this aren't they?" Ienzo asked to which Sora nodded. "When we say hearts, we don't mean the physical, beating heart. But a metaphysical heart, one that exists inside every one of us, that makes up who we are, along with the body and soul. Without one, you'd be incomplete. After all these years, the heart is still unknown to us, but we know it's how the keyblade wielders can channel their power, whether through the light or the darkness. You all have one, I have one and Sora has two." Ienzo explained.

"Gwarsh, you don't seem surprised." Goofy said to Sora, who's been staring at the screen, lost in his own thoughts.

"Sora, have you known?" Raven asked, worried.

"Yeah. Honestly, I suspected as much; that there was another heart inside mine. I think…it's Roxas's. Just like Namine is still inside Kairi's." Sora said, making everyone look at the boy in worry.

"Interesting…Well, no one knows your heart better than you. To be honest, we still have a plethora of questions on our side, but…your idea has merit. It's incredible enough that you and your Nobody can coexist. I can see why Master Ansem hid this info within you. You truly are a remarkable person, Sora. We'll keep investigating your hypothesis. If you need anything, Tron and I will be in touch." Ienzo said, signing off and leaving Chip and Dale on the line.

"Okeydokey, we'll give you fellas a ring if there's anything else. Me and Chip, the guys at Radiant Garden, Tron, and the others are never far away. If you got any more questions about the phone or anything else, Tron is up and raring to go." Dale replied. Sora and the others nodded with a smile as they ended the call, making the phone go dark. Everyone took their seats as they took in the news.

"Man, talk about an info dump." Cyborg said.

"I have to find a way to help Roxas. Riku and Mickey are following…Aqua's heart. So, I guess I'll follow Roxas's heart!" Sora said, determined.

"Trust the guidance that your heart gives ya, Sora. That's what Master Yen Sid said." Goofy said.

"So, where to now?" Donald asked.

"Oh, that's easy." Sora said, summoning his keyblade and creating a portal for them. Once the gateway opened, Sora piloted the ship into the gateway, sending them on their next adventure.

(Meanwhile, back in Radiant Garden)

After meeting with Merlin to have their keyblades fixed, the King's personal Gummi Ship flew through space and slowly touched down in Central Square in front of the rebuilt castle, now surrounded by beautiful flowers, trees, and homes. The engines slowly died down as Riku and Mickey jumped out, landing on the stone ground. Mickey started walking toward a path that led to the castle while Riku looked around in amazement and shock.

"Woah, this…this is Hollow Bastion?" Riku asked.

"Was Hollow Bastion. It used to be Radiant Garden until the world collapsed due to Xehanort's reconstruction. Maleficent and the Heartless didn't help when they took over the world. But it looks like Leon and the gang have been working overtime." Mickey said.

"It…doesn't even look like how I remember it. This is what it looked like before…it's all so beautiful." Riku said, looking at the flowers before his eyes drifted to the many homes in the town, his mind thinking of all the lives that were lost when the world was taken over by the darkness. Mickey looked up at his friend to see his eyes downcast, already knowing his thought process.

"Riku…you shouldn't dwell on it." Mickey said.

"I know. It's just…a lot to take in. All the signs were there about Maleficent's intentions; I was just…too blind to see them I guess." Riku said.

"This wasn't your fault Riku. You've made up for past mistakes many times over. This was Xehanort's doing." Mickey said, making Riku nod in thought, still dwelling on his thoughts.

"Your Majesty!" They heard a voice call out to them and they turned to see the leader of the Restoration Committee, Leon walking up to them. He was a young man who had short, light brown hair with bangs swept to the left side of his face, blue eyes, and a distinct scar running diagonally across his nose. He wore a white undershirt and a short black jacket with a white fur collar, a silver Griever necklace around his neck, three belts strapped on his forearm, and black gloves. He also wore black pants held up with four belts and black boots. Strapped to his back was a large Gunblade.

"Leon!" Mickey said, running over to him while Riku trailed after him. He never got to meet the group that helped Sora on his first adventure, nor their second journey. With everything that was happening at the time, it didn't seem that important, but now's as good a time as any. Mickey was shaking hands with Leon as he approached.

"You guys have been busy, huh?" Mickey asked.

"We sure have. But luckily we had a lot of help, from some of the citizens and with the help of Ansem's apprentices." Leon said.

"They've come back, too? Glad to see Lea or Axel wasn't the only one." Mickey said.

"Yeah, though they're missing one of their own and I believe another too. I told them we would keep an eye out if we saw them." Leon said.

"That's very nice of you." Riku said, deciding to enter the conversation.

"And who's this?" Leon asked.

"This is Riku. Sora's best- "Mickey said.

"Friend, right? It's good to meet you after all this time finally. I'm Leon, I help run the Committee here at Radiant Garden." Leon said, holding out his hand. Riku shook it in exchange as he took another look at the castle.

"Looks like you guys are working overtime. This place is- "Riku said.

"A far cry from how you remember it, I'm guessing? I'm happy to hear that. This has been our goal for the longest time. Now that it's almost here, it just feels like a dream come true. So, what brings you guys here?" Leon asked.

"We're looking for a possible lead in finding a fellow Keyblade Wielder." Riku said.

"She would've been around your age, a little older, with blue hair, blue eyes, and a heart symbol on her chest." Mickey said.

"She must've talked to somebody when she was here." Riku elaborated. Leon placed a hand over his head in thought.

"Well, most of the Committee and I never met a keyblade wielder until the King and Sora. The only ones who were around at the time to meet her would have been Scrooge McDuck and Merlin. But they're both off-world at the moment." Leon said.

"Scrooge was always a wild card; he could be anywhere. And we just saw Merlin so he could fix our keys. Plus, he's busy with Kairi and Lea." Mickey said. Riku nodded in agreement as he crossed his arms.

"Ya know, maybe the apprentices might know something. I remember we were trying to figure out the weird stuff that was going on at the time, but his students would tell us that all was fine. They might have some answers; let me take you to them." Leon said.

"Are you sure we wouldn't be interrupting their work?" Mickey asked.

"Last time I checked in, most of their work seemed to be done. Hopefully, they wouldn't mind solving this mystery for us. Follow me." Leon replied, walking to the gates that led up to the castle, with Riku and Mickey in tow.

(Back with Sora's group)

The Gummi Ship stopped next to a world bathed in sunlight with a large clock tower overlooking a large town outstretching to some nearby hills. The ship emitted a bright beam of light that transported the passengers to the ground below. The eight heroes set foot on the cobblestone floor as the ship flew back into the clouds out of sight.

"I will bring the Ship to your location when we are all set." Tron said through the Gummiphone, which was currently being held by Beast Boy.

"Yeah, yeah thanks Tron, now tell me more about all the worlds!" Beast Boy said in excitement.

"Are you studying? For once?" Raven asked, shocked.

"Hey, I want to know everything about these worlds so I'm up to date on everything." Beast Boy replied.

"Speaking of worlds, this one is quite lovely." Starfire said.

"It's so…peaceful." Robin said.

"Yeah, what is this place, Spike?" Cyborg asked, looking up at the nearby buildings and the clock tower high above.

"It's called Twilight Town. It's a world that's very important to Roxas. I thought it would be a good place to start." Sora said.

"Sora, who exactly is this Roxas?" Starfire asked.

"He's…my Nobody." Sora said.

"He is?!" Everyone but Raven yelled.

"But I-You-"Beast Boy exclaimed.

"It was when you became a Heartless, right?" Raven asked. Sora nodded while the Titans looked at her in shock.

"How in the heck did you know that?!" Cyborg exclaimed.

"When you read our minds right?" Robin asked while Raven nodded.

"She could do that?" Goofy asked, while Sora confirmed with a nod.

"That's scary to think about. Anyway, it happened when Sora became a Heartless." Donald said, surprising everyone.

"You mean…you actually became one of those creepy crawly things?" Cyborg asked. Sora nodded as he walked further into town with everyone trailing behind him.

"For a few minutes, yeah. To make a long story short, when my home was attacked, Kairi's heart ended up in mine to protect her from the darkness. The only way I could free her heart at the time was by using a special keyblade made up of the captive princess' hearts on myself." Sora said, making everyone cringe in pain.

"Ouch." Beast Boy replied, rubbing his chest in empathy.

"Kairi got her heart back, but I ended up losing mine in the process. I became a Heartless and Roxas came into being. And right when he did, he was taken in by the Organization." Sora said.

"That was all he ever knew when he existed." Goofy said.

"At least until the end." Donald said.

"So, that's why you're so deadest on this." Robin said.

"Roxas deserves a second chance at a better life. And I'm gonna do what I can to give him one." Sora said with a determined tone.

"Sora…" Raven said, taking his hand in hers. He smiled and lightly nodded to her in response.

"We'll help you free him, Sora." Robin said.

"Yes, all friends deserve happiness." Starfire said.

"Woah, nice town!" Beast Boy said, looking around. They now stood in an open market area called the Tram Commons, which had running trams going through the town, along with several shops set up around the place.

"Hey, the trams are still running!" Sora exclaimed with a smile, chasing after them for a bit.

"Sora, we haven't been gone that long." Donald replied, making the boy stop.

"Oh right. Well, it feels like it has been." Sora said, rubbing his head.

"Feeling a little homesick?" Cyborg asked.

"Maybe, or it could be Roxas reacting in my heart. Hey, looks like we're off to a good start. Let's keep looking around." Sora replied.

"Do you seek our liege?" a voice whispered, making Sora's eyes widen in shock, looking around with wide eyes.

"Sora, what is it?" Raven asked.

"D-did you guys not hear that?" Sora asked, looking around.

"Oh jeez, he's cracked." Beast Boy exclaimed.

"You hearing things, Spike?" Cyborg asked.

"No, it's just…I'm pretty sure I heard it!" Sora said.

"AAAH! Where'd they come from?!" They heard behind them, and they turned to see three teens, two boys and a girl, running away from something. One of the boys was skinny and had spiky blond hair; the other was heavy-set with black hair and a headband around his forehead; and the girl had brown hair that stuck out from the sides and had two strands falling over her shoulders.

"Forget the ice cream! Just run!" the girl yelled out.

"What?! Hey, hold up!" The other boy said.

"Oh, Hayner! Pence! Olette!" Sora called out to them.

"Friends of yours?" Robin asked.

"At this point, let's assume that in every world we go to, Sora knows someone." Cyborg said. Suddenly, a huge tidal wave of Shadow Heartless came flowing out right after the three teens.

"WHOA! That's a lot of them!" Beast Boy said, clinging onto Cyborg's head and shoulders.

"What is that?!" Goofy exclaimed in shock. The three teens kept running until they caught sight of the new arrivals.

"Heey! Sora!" Hayner yelled, waving at the keyblade wielder, frantically.

"Hayner! Take cover and leave this to us!" Sora yelled.

"Don't need to tell us! Good luck!" Pence screamed back as the teens didn't even break stride and ran past the group. The team summoned their weapons as the wave of Heartless focused on their new prey.

"Any ideas, Sora?" Robin asked, brandishing his keyblade.

"I've never seen anything like this. Attack it from all areas and keep up the pressure." Sora said. Everyone nodded and went to attack, but the tide suddenly rushed toward them, knocking them all out of the way as the tide crashed through nearby buildings, causing the people staying inside to run out all while dodging the debris coming from their homes.

"Raven, Goofy, help the people. We'll keep this thing busy." Robin called out, throwing two explosive discs at the tide, causing multiple Shadows to fall to the ground. The two nodded and got to work with the Titan using her powers to protect the people while the captain of the knights used his shield to destroy the large pieces of debris.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team kept up the attack on the Tide with Starfire and Cyborg shooting starbolts and sonic blasts at the Shadows, Sora and Donald using their magic to keep the Heartless contained, while Robin and Beast Boy kept their attacks up close, but every time they took out one Shadow, three more would take its place, making the team back up to avoid the tide, which was using its own Heartless as projectiles.

"How do we beat this thing?" Cyborg asked.

"Sora, look there! At the front!" Donald called out and Sora looked to see a large orange-glowing orb at the front of the tide, made up of several Shadow Heartless clumped together.

"Well, that's not creepy!" Beast Boy said, shuddering.

"Good eye, Donald. Aim for that core, guys, and let's take this thing down quick." Sora said, taking off again with everyone behind him. In response, the Tide dove under the ground and erupted further into town, causing more damage to nearby buildings and knocking over a nearby tram-train. Starfire and Cyborg were quick to grab the train to avoid further collateral damage while Sora, Donald, Robin, and Beast Boy charged forth with three of them launching their projectiles while the changeling jumped onto the core and clawed at it with his keyblade. Eventually, everyone took a slash at the core, along with two powerful punches from Starfire and Cyborg, making the Demon Tide rear high up into the air. It eventually reared back and flew into the sky, eventually disappearing behind a rooftop.

"Did it just run away?" Beast Boy asked as everyone regrouped and put their weapons away.

"I've never seen one run before." Donald replied.

"What was that thing anyway? Just a bundle-up dark wave or something?" Cyborg asked.

"I've seen Heartless work together, but to be merged like that is, scary." Sora said, crossing his arms in thought.

"We'll have to look into it more if we get the chance." Robin said, making Sora nod in agreement as Hayner, Pence, and Olette walked up to them.

"That was one heck of a fight! Thanks, Sora and all of you." Hayner said.

"Hey, guys, it's good to see you. It feels like forever." Sora said.

"Really? It hasn't been that long, Sora." Pence replied, making Sora look down in thought.

"Donald! Goofy! It's good to see you again!" Olette exclaimed while the mage and knight waved hello. "And it's nice to meet your new friends too." She said to the team.

"We're the Teen Titans." Robin said, doing the usual introductions.

"We are sorry for the damage that was caused." Starfire replied, looking at the large holes in the nearby buildings and the trams system.

"But everyone is safe. Nothing too bad." Raven said.

"Ah, it's no big deal. We'll get everything back to normal soon." Hayner replied.

"We'll help where we can. Count on it." Cyborg replied as everyone nodded.

"So, Sora, does this mean that weird stuff's going on again?" Pence asked, curious.

"Uh hello, have ya ever seen a tornado of shadowy blobs before? That just equals weird." Beast Boy said.

"He's right. It's more than weird, it's unprecedented." Hayner replied.

"It sure is. The creatures we dealt with last time were white. This was something new. Sounds like another mystery case." Pence said, excited.

"Ignore him, he gets excited about solving things." Olette whispered to the newcomers, who gave a small thumbs-up in response. "Besides, we're already done with the school project, silly. And Sora wouldn't be here without a good reason, right?" She asked, to which the boy nodded in response.

"Which is what exactly?" Hayner asked.

"Well, we're looking for Roxas or at least a way to bring Roxas back." Sora replied.

"Roxas?" Olette asked, while Hayner looked down in thought.

"Funny…I don't know a Roxas, but he sounds so familiar. Maybe we met him once but forgot about him." Hayner guessed.

"Something like that." Goofy said.

"He was actually friends with other versions of you." Donald said as Goofy pulled out a photo and held it out to the teens. Hayner took it and looked it over while the Titans looked as well to see the three and another boy standing next to them in a group photo. The boy had bright blue eyes and golden blond hair spiked up in a windswept fashion. He wore a black, high-collared jacket with an X-shaped zipper, an unzipped white jacket with checkerboard designs on the sleeves, black and white colored pants, and grey shoes with red and black straps.

"He…almost looks like you, Sora." Raven said.

"Well, besides the hair and choice of clothes-"Beast Boy said until he was pinched in the side by Cyborg.

"This photo…" Olette said.

"Yeah, we've got the same one." Pence said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out the same photo, only his didn't have Roxas in it.

"This is about the other Twilight Town, isn't it?" Hayner asked.

"The other what?" Starfire asked.

"Before Roxas returned to Sora, he was placed in a false life within a computer world so that the whole process would be easier on him." Donald said, making everyone's eyes widen.

"Woah, that's pretty messed up." Beast Boy said.

"They placed him in there?! The amount of power you would need to maintain that is-insane!" Cyborg replied.

"Sora, we'll help you find Roxas." Hayner said with a determined look in his eye.

"Really?" Sora asked.

"Sure, he seems like a cool guy." Hayner replied.

"He is. I know it." Sora replied.

"Sora, you and your friends should go to the old mansion in the photo. That should have some answers." Olette said.

"We'll cover the town and see what we can find." Pence said.

"Thanks guys. Oh, before we go, mind if I snap a quick picture while we're all here?" Sora said pulling out his phone.

"Great idea!" Everyone said.

"Rae, would you mind?" Sora asked. With a small smile of amusement, Raven used her powers to hold the phone in front of everyone as they all posed together as a big group with Sora, Donald, and Goofy in the middle, the Teen Titans on one side in a big bunch, and Hayner, Pence, and Olette on the other side. With a quick countdown, Raven took the picture and with a quick flash, the photo was saved onto the phone as everyone crowded around to see it.

"Wow, that came out great." Sora said, happily.

"Now that's a keeper." Robin said.

"I'll say." Cyborg replied.

"Can we take another? I think my hair was off." Beast Boy asked, running a hand through his hair.

"I would like to take more pictures in the future." Starfire said.

"I'm sure you guys will. But we better get to work if we want to find anything." Hayner said.

"Right, let's go to that mansion." Sora said as they all walked into town, first to help clean up the town and then on with their mission.

(Meanwhile, in Radiant Garden)

Leon was leading Riku and the King through the now restored corridors of the inner castle that led to the main study of the former leader of Radiant Garden. He stopped at a large red door and knocked on it a few times as Riku looked around.

"I still can't believe that this was Hollow Bastion." Riku said.

"You should've seen it before; the walls were empty, and you could see the pipes inside too." Mickey said.

"The apprentices have been a big help when they came back, they remember how everything was, so we turn to them for advice a lot." Leon said. As if in response, the door opened, revealing another of the apprentices. He was a tall, broad-shouldered man dressed in the same uniform as Aeleus. He had long black hair worn in dreadlocks, thick sideburns, and violet eyes.

"Ah, Mr. Leonhart. How can we assist you?" The man said in a stern but noble tone.

"Hello Dilan. We have some guests here who are looking for some answers and we were hoping you and others could help." Leon said. Dilan looked over Leon's shoulder to see Riku and Mickey behind him.

"Ah, I see. Please follow me. Ienzo and Aeleus are in the computer room right now." Dilan said, opening the door for them to enter. Leon and Mickey followed the apprentice while Riku spun around to look at the almost restored study. The bookshelves were now refilled and stacked properly, the main desk was repaired, and all the broken glass was cleaned away.

"This was Ansem's study? This is- incredible." Riku said, looking at all the books, pulling one out, and flipping through the pages.

"Riku, c'mon." Mickey said. Riku quickly closed the book and jogged after the King, only to stop again as he looked over a small balcony to see dozens of large machines further down the study. He took another look at the machines before walking into the computer room.

"Ah, Your Majesty. It's an honor to meet you in person." Ienzo said as he stood next to the main computer. Dilan and Aeleus stood across the room to another door that led somewhere. Riku stopped and gasped in shock upon seeing the two other apprentices, remembering his fights in Castle Oblivion.

"You're Zexion and…Lexeaus?!" Riku said, now on guard.

"Formerly." Aeleus said with a frown while crossing his arms.

"We understand your concern, Master Riku. But please understand that all three of us are no longer associated with Xehanort or the Organization. Especially after finding out that we were deceived." Ienzo said, his hands out in a calming gesture.

"Three? You too?" Riku asked, looking at Dilan.

"I was formerly Xaldin, Number III to the Organization. My Nobody met his end by Sora and somewhere down the line, my Heartless met a similar fate. I woke up here with my fellow companions, minus two others." Dilan said, looking down in remorse at his former life.

"Now we have only one goal. Continue our studies of the heart and assist however we can in protecting the realm from the forces of darkness." Ienzo said. Riku looked at the apprentices to see the remorse in their eyes as Leon placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Riku, I wouldn't bring them to you if you couldn't trust them." Leon said. Mickey placed a hand over Riku's to catch his attention and nodded in agreement.

"Right, I'm sorry, it just might take me some time to fully forgive you." Riku said.

"No need to apologize. We do indeed have much to make up for and we hope to do so in the future. Sora was just as cautious when I spoke to him." Ienzo said, shocking the young master.

"You've-already spoken to him? How?" Riku asked. Ienzo reached into his pocket and pulled out his own Gummiphone.

"With this, with the help of Chip and Dale, we finally got these devices made for long-range communications across the worlds." Ienzo said.

"Oh, I forgot about their little project. That's why they've been so busy." Mickey said, slapping his forehead, making everyone chuckle a little.

"In that case, I'll give you all a spare that I've been holding onto in case this one broke. Chip and Dale are working on more as we speak, and we should have enough for everyone soon." Ienzo said, placing his phone.

"Excellent!" Mickey said.

"Now, Leon said that you were looking for some answers. How could we be of service?" Ienzo asked.

"Well, we're following the trail of one of our keyblade wielders and we ran into a bit of a snag." Riku said.

"We're now hoping that searching the worlds that she's been in could lead to some answers. Her name is Master Aqua, and she would've been here about 10-11 years ago." Mickey said.

"Blue hair, blue eyes, black and blue clothes." Riku added. The apprentices looked down, trying to remember that time long ago.

"I was young at the time, so I do not recall meeting someone like that. I only recall someone saving me from these strange monsters around that time. He too wielded a keyblade and he was very fast." Ienzo said.

"We cannot recall her as well. We only met a boy who was trying to get into the castle, but it was closed and then he ran off after another monster." Dilan replied. Ienzo hummed to himself before turning to face the computer.

"Tron." Ienzo said, making the screen glow to life.

"Yes, Ienzo?" Tron asked.

"Can you search to see if there is any remaining video footage from the time range the King mentioned?" Ienzo asked.

"Of course. Scanning security database. Security videos found, 6 videos in total are here that match the description User Riku has provided." Tron said. The six videos soon showed up on the screen, making everyone crowd around.

"Excellent. Now show us the last known footage we have of Master Aqua." Ienzo said. A video got highlighted before going to full screen, showing dark clouds spiraling over the town courtyard where they saw two figures fighting, each exchanging powerful light and dark spells. One of the figures was Master Aqua and the other was a possessed Terra-Xehanort.

"That's her!" Mickey said.

"And that's…but it can't be." Riku whispered as he recognized the figure as the man he met on the islands so long ago, but he looked different. Eventually, the fight escalated and Terra-Xehanort started glowing with a dark aura before releasing a powerful burst of energy, making the video freeze and glitch before showing an error message.

"What just happened?" Leon asked.

"Error: following video data is corrupt. Skipping to the next available data." Tron said as the video fazed in and out before focusing back up on the courtyard, only now the dark clouds were gone, allowing the bright sun to shine down and the only figures left in the center were an unconscious Terra-Xehanort and an empty set of blue armor and a keyblade.

"That was when she disappeared." Riku said.

"Her armor. Ienzo, do you or the others remember what happened to her armor?" Mickey asked, making Dilan look down in remorse, which Ienzo noticed.

"Dilan?" The scientist asked.

"When we went to investigate the battle and after our…betrayal of Master Ansem, Braig asked me to collect the armor and take it to the underground facility." Dilan admitted, making Ienzo and Aeleus' skin go pale.

"What underground facility?" Leon asked.

"Another sin of our past that we were hoping to make up for." Aeleus said.

"It's where most of our experiments were done, especially the ones our Master deemed unethical. I was the one who convinced him to construct the laboratory so we could continue our studies further, but Ansem soon saw our work as unnatural. We put an end to them, but Xehanort managed to convince us to continue, without our Master's consent. We were hoping to see what we could recover and dismantle the facility when we had the chance, but we have been much too busy with the reconstructions." Ienzo said with a remorseful tone in his voice.

"Is it possible for us to enter the facility now?" Riku asked.

"Tron?" Ienzo asked.

"I have found the final password and copied the data that has been previously implanted to access the lab. I should be able to open the facility now." Tron said.

"Wait for my word. Let us take you to the main entrance. This way." Ienzo said, motioning towards the sealed door. Dilan pressed a few buttons and the door opened, allowing the small group to walk onto a balcony that overlooked a large manufacturing room with several large machines on the walls and a large platform laid before them.

"This is where the MCP was recreating the Heartless from inside the computer." Leon said.

"MCP?" Riku asked.

"The Master Control Program. Master Ansem deemed the program too malicious and removed it from the system, but Xehanort re-installed it, using it to subvert our Master's system and reports." Aeleus said.

"We owe a debt of gratitude to Sora for helping Tron delete the MCP from the whole system. If it was still in command, we would've had more trouble in getting everything back in order." Dilan said. Ienzo eventually told everyone to stop at the base of the stairs.

"Tron." Ienzo said.

"Please remain clear. Unlocking the Underground Facility." Tron's voice spoke as the floor beneath them lit up in a triangle shape. Soon the floor in front of them opened, revealing a large, dark downward spiral staircase below them.

"Woah." Riku said with wide eyes, looking down at the foreboding chasm.

"This was…beneath us the whole time?" Leon asked in disbelief.

"We were going to show it to you soon. We just wanted to be sure that we could access it so you would believe us." Ienzo said.

"I had an idea of what you were doing in this castle, but to see it with my own eyes…" Leon said. Ienzo nodded, understanding what Leon was implying.

"We should stay alert. Anything could be down there for all we know." Mickey said. Suddenly, a case of stairs spawned in front of them that led down into the lab.

"Please stay close on the way down. It will take some time to reach the bottom. The doors will close behind us; Aeleus, I want you to stay out here in case something comes up." Ienzo said, to which the guard saluted.

"Understood, Ienzo. I'll be awaiting your return." Aeleus said. Ienzo nodded as he took the lead down the stairs. Leon followed him, with Riku and Mickey following along while Dilan came along last as the large doors closed behind them.

(Meanwhile, back in Twilight Town)

The large group of heroes stepped out of the sewer entrance that led into the forest next to the town. The last time Sora was here, there was a large crack in the wall that separated the town and the forest, allowing the trio to enter the forest with ease. But now the crack has been repaired, forcing the team to go through the sewer system that led under the wall.

"Did we have to go through the sewers? We could've flown over or something." Beast Boy said.

"I think the last thing the city needs is more flying things, Beast Boy." Raven said.

"Yeah, at least they don't have as bad a smell as back home." Cyborg said.

"True, but any sewer is still gonna smell like a sewer and requires a nice shower." Robin said.

"That we can agree upon." Starfire said as they walked further into the woods.

"What is you're guy's world like anyway?" Goofy asked, curious.

"Well, think of it like its own little universe since it's more than just the city that we live in. Where we live though is just a large city called Jump City." Robin said.

"That sounds nice. Maybe we can visit sometime." Donald said, casually, making the Titans stop and stare at each other worriedly.

"Uh-huh, maybe one day." Cyborg said. Sora smiled at his friends cooperating until he came to a stop next to a nearby tree. Everyone came to a stop as well when they noticed the spiky-haired boy looking at a tree.

"What is it, Sora?" Raven asked.

"Looks like someone dropped some fruit." Sora said as everyone followed his gaze to see a bunch of assorted fruit that was leading towards a nearby tree. Everyone followed the trail and looked up at the tree to see several Monkey Heartless bounding up and down the branches.

"Heartless!" Sora yelled.

"Huh, they blended in too well there." Beast Boy said.

"What do you think they're up to?" Robin asked. Everyone looked closer at the tree until they saw a small blue rat clinging to it while looking fearfully at the Heartless, making everyone come to the same conclusion.

"They're after that small rat." Cyborg exclaimed.

"Let's help him out!" Donald said, summoning his staff. Everyone followed suit and got into their fighting stance as some of the monkeys jumped down to the ground while the other half stayed in the branches with some of the discarded fruit in their hands. The Heartless used the fruit as projectiles but the Titans easily swatted them away and took out the monkeys in no time flat. Everyone eventually relaxed as the rat climbed down the tree branch and crawled toward them.

"Eep!" Starfire said, hiding behind Robin after remembering her last encounter with rats.

"It's okay, Star. He's fine." Robin said. Sora walked up to the little rat and held out his hand for him to crawl onto. Sora brought the mouse up to his face so everyone could see him.

"Hey, little fella, were you collecting this fruit?" Sora asked.

"Sora, he's a rat, I don't think he'll be able to understand-"Cyborg said.

"Whoa, did you guys see that?! He actually nodded at me!" Sora exclaimed, making the robotic side of Cyborg's head pop off like a spring.

"I gotta remember who we're hanging out with right now." Cyborg said, putting his head back into place.

"Were you collecting it for something?" Sora asked the rat, who made a cutting and spreading motion like a chef. Sora looked confused until Raven walked up to him.

"I think he's going to use it for food." Raven said, to which the rat nodded in agreement.

"Let's see if we can find a nice box for the fruit." Goofy said.

"Found one." Beast Boy said, holding it up. Raven used her powers to bring the box closer and neatly packaged the fruit inside.

"You wanna hop in, little buddy? We'll make sure you get back to town, safely." Sora asked. The rat nodded and hopped onto the top of the fruit.

"Hold on tight." Raven said. The rat gave her the go-ahead as the box floated down into the sewer. "My magic will keep the box going till it gets into town. He should be alright after that." She spoke.

"Most glorious!" Starfire said, stepping out from behind Robin.

"He seemed smarter than most rats." Beast Boy replied.

"He sure seemed like he wanted to be a chef." Donald said.

"We should get moving to the mansion. It's not too far now." Sora said. Everyone nodded and continued their trek through the woods. Eventually, they reached the large two-story mansion that had an old gate and broken pillars in the front yard. The door had a large arch over it with a symbol of the clock tower on it and there were four large windows on the sides that were covered with dust.

"Yeah, this doesn't give off creepy and haunted vibes." Beast Boy said.

"Looks like no one's lived here in ages." Robin said.

"The inside gives off that feeling too." Donald said.

"But it also has some advanced stuff in there too. This is where we first woke up on our last adventure." Goofy said.

"Woke up? What do you mean?" Raven asked, confused. Sora wasn't paying attention since his eyes were focused on one of the windows on the second floor that had clean, white curtains blowing on the inside like a breeze was blowing inside. Sora stared intently at the curtains, almost hoping for someone to show up in the room as if he'd been here before, hoping to find a clue to the strange occurrences around town.

Sora suddenly snapped out of it and let out a breath as he looked down in thought, knowing that he'd never done that before, but Roxas had.

"Sora? Sora?" Robin asked, shaking him by the shoulder, and making Sora look up.

"Huh?" The boy asked.

"Are you alright? You look like you spaced out for a minute." Robin said and Sora looked to see everyone looking at him in concern.

"Y-yeah I'm fine. It's just been awhile since we were last here. Whaddaya think, guys? This place is even creepier than I remember." Sora said.

"Makes me wonder how freaky it is in there now." Goofy said.

"Well don't say that. Now I really don't want to go in." Beast Boy said, trembling along with Donald. Suddenly, someone tapped Sora on his shoulder, making him and everyone scream in fear and turn to see Hayner, Pence, and Olette standing behind him.

"Thanks for the heart attack!" Sora yelled at him.

"Oh, what? Did I scare you?" Hayner asked, in a mocking tone.

"No! It's just nerves is all." Beast Boy said, shaking slightly.

"So how did it go? Did you find anything?" Robin asked.

"Afraid not. The whole asking around thing was a total bust." Pence said.

"Looks like this mansion's our last hope for answers." Olette said.

"Well, let's see what inside this old place." Cyborg replied. Sora nodded and walked toward the doors, pushing them open with a loud creak. Everyone slowly walked into the decrypted foyer where they saw a large broken table lying in the middle of the room; two sets of staircases that led up to the second-floor rooms and one room on the 1st floor that wasn't blocked off by debris.

"This place looks like it was abandoned centuries ago." Robin said.

"We never knew who lived here before it was abandoned. We were always told that it was private property and not to trespass." Hayner said.

"Kids at school made rumors that it was haunted or there were monsters here." Pence said.

"Well, the latter is true, that's for certain." Olette said.

"Let's not rule out haunted just yet." Beast Boy said, shakily. Sora nodded but led the group up the staircase and into the large library that opened up into a false floor, revealing a basement with technology and other components built into the walls.

"This is some advanced tech. Looks like it was used to cover up the basement. Wonder what else was hidden in here besides you guys." Cyborg said.

"We're about to find out. We're getting close to the computer room." Donald replied. They soon walked into another room where several computer monitors were hanging on the walls, a large computer placed in one of the corners of the room, and a large machine built against the wall.

"This is it." Sora said. Cyborg and Pence walked over to the main computer while everyone looked at the screens which showed an image of Sora and his previous vital signs.

"Were they monitoring you? The people who were watching over you I mean?" Robin asked and Sora nodded.

"They had to make sure that I was safe in there while I recovered from whatever happened to us." Sora said, turning his eyes to the main computer. Suddenly, a white flash appeared before him, and everyone disappeared as he saw his Nobody destroying the virtual computer with his keyblade as sparks and pieces of machinery flew past him. In another flash, Roxas was gone, and everyone returned while the computer was back to normal.

"Sora?" Raven's voice snapped him out of his daze, and he looked to his side to see her next to him while holding his hand. "Are you ok? You spaced out again." Raven said.

"Sorry, it's just- this place meant so much to Roxas. Just walking around here, it-it brings a lot of his memories into perspective." Sora said.

"We'll bring him back. And the others too." Raven said, squeezing his hand, but not too tight. Sora smiled and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek, making her blush. After that, they walked up to the computer where Pence was sitting on the chair and Cyborg was standing next to him.

"Thank goodness I still remember the password." Pence said.

"Sea-Salt Ice Cream! I couldn't believe it!" Cyborg said. Pence started typing on the screen to get to the controls of the simulation transporter.

"Alright, here we go." Pence said, pressing a button. Suddenly, a red light started flaring and an alarm sound went off.

"Woah, what's going on?" Beast Boy asked. Cyborg pressed a few buttons, making the alarm stop, but then an error message appeared on the main screen. Cyborg connected a cable from his forearm and plugged it into the computer as his panel opened up.

"Awesome!" Pence said, amazed at Cyborg's tech as the Titan typed on his panel.

"Oh, perfect. Looks like the transporter's been locked out." Cyborg said.

"Locked out? From what?" Robin asked.

"From us, it seems. Someone must've locked down the computer after they registered the usage as unauthorized. We can't use this computer to get to the simulated Twilight Town." Pence said.

"That's not fair! It worked before! We should be able to get in again." Hayner said.

"Are we sure there is no other way to enter?" Starfire asked.

"None that I could think of." Pence said.

"And I can't access the proper authorization codes to access it. Looks like this stop is a dud." Cyborg said.

"Great." Olette said. Suddenly, Sora's phone went off and he pulled it out to see Tron on the main screen.

"Sora, I just got a notification from Twilight Town. Is there a computer near your location?" Tron asked.

"We're standing right in front of it." Sora said, turning the screen so that Tron could see the computer.

"Ah, I see. I've been working on decrypting the remaining code in Ansem's computer and I got an alert that someone had logged into another terminal." Tron said.

"Oh uh, sorry, mister. My name is Pence and I logged into the computer with Cyborg's help." Pence said to the phone.

"Hey, don't throw me under the bus!" Cyborg said.

"Good. At least we know that it's a user that we can trust. And it seems that you ran into an error." Tron said.

"Yeah, the program that we're trying to access is locked." Cyborg said.

"Hhm, which program would that be?" Tron asked.

"The transporter we need to get to the simulated Twilight Town." Robin said.

"It's the only way to find Roxas. Can you help us?" Olette asked. Tron hummed to himself before answering.

"A simulation and a transporter to access it?" Tron replied, thinking it over.

"Sounds like the datascape we used to explore the journal a while back." Goofy said.

"Yeah, that was weird." Donald replied.

"Pence, Cyborg, I'm going to set up a network to connect your terminal to my systems. Then I'll be able to change the main access privileges remotely." Tron replied, confusing 2/3 of the people in the room.

"Uh, in layman's terms?" Beast Boy asked.

"When the network is finished, I can get the transporter to work for you." Tron said, making everyone nod in agreement. After a few minutes of setting everything up and everyone taking a chance to relax, Tron made the phone light up to catch everyone's attention.

"Alright, the network is up and running. I now have full access to your terminal. I also added control to the Radiant Garden mainframe. I'll be sure to update Ienzo when he returns." Tron said.

"And what about Roxas?" Raven asked.

"Hhm, it seems Roxas's data was added to the construction of the virtual world. I can copy that data and add it to Ansem's Code, meaning we can decipher it faster. The data from the other Twilight Town will also help as well." Tron said.

"But what about actually getting into the virtual world?" Hayner asked.

"Hhm, unfortunately, that would seem improbable. When the Nobodies attacked, they seemed to do damage to the town's code, causing it to become unstable. To enter it now would be too dangerous. It'll take some time to repair the code before it can be accessed, but I will keep you all informed. I'll have Chip and Dale to assist me on that end as well." Tron said.

"Thanks Tron. I'll call if we need help with something else." Sora said. Tron smiled and logged off, making everyone smile.

"Oh, that's right! Olette and I gotta get going for work!" Hayner said, remembering the time. He started running out while Olette trailed behind him.

"You guys work now?" Donald asked.

"We got to. Especially if we wanna make our trip to the beach this time. Bye, Donald. Bye, Goofy. And it was nice to meet you all." Olette said while everyone waved goodbye.

"Oh, and since I'm on tech duty, you guys are in charge of earning my share." Pence said.

"Which means no pretzel for you." Hayner said in a joking tone as he went up the stairs, along with Olette.

"Hey! Ah, no fair!" Pence replied.

"Are you all good here, Pence? Because we were gonna look for more clues." Donald said.

"Oh yeah, go on ahead guys. I'll make sure this thing is good to go, then head back to town." Pence said.

"You got the fort man." Cyborg replied, fist-bumping the young teen. Everyone waved goodbye as they headed back outside of the mansion.

"So, where to next?" Robin sad.

"Hhm, let's make a stop at the Clock Tower and see if anything comes up." Sora suggested as they walked past the gates.

"Sounds like a pl- "Raven said.

"So, you think you can bring Roxas back?" A voice said behind them, making Sora freeze and turn around to see Xehanort's Heartless, Ansem leaning against the brick wall with a smirk on his face, now adorned in the traditional Organization black coat. The whole group turned and prepared themselves for anything.

"Ansem!" Donald and Goofy said.

"Sora is this- "Raven asked.

"One of the men from my hallucinations? Yeah. And he's not the Ansem that Ienzo was talking about! He's Xehanort's Heartless." Sora said to the others.

"Wait what?!" Beast Boy asked. Suddenly, a corridor of darkness opened next to Ansem as the former Organization's Superior, Xemnas stepped out.

"Xemnas! Xehanort's Nobody." Sora replied.

"Ugh, this migraine is never going away anytime soon!" Beast Boy replied.

"Roxas should never have existed in the first place. You seek the impossible." Xemnas said.

"We tend to fight against impossible odds." Cyborg said.

"Roxas does exist. His heart's inside of mine." Sora said in a determined tone.

"And in the unlikely event you manage to separate, where will you put his heart?" Xemnas replied, making Sora look down in thought.

"Your plan will fail. Even if you could free Roxas, you cannot place him in the virtual world. It's nothing but data now." Ansem spoke up.

"I know, but hearts can live anywhere. Even in fake worlds. Hearts are all around us, even if you can't see it." Sora said.

"Like you two, right?" Robin asked, making everyone turn to him. "You both came from the same person and yet here you both are. Separately existing at the same time. "He said.

"They both must've found a way. I see no reason why Roxas cannot exist as well." Starfire said.

"You found a way to come back. We'll find a way too." Raven said as everyone stood ready to fight.

"Your new friends sure are confident. Try it then." Ansem said.

"Nothing would please us more than Roxas' return." Xemnas said.

"If you plan to use to him for your gain, then you're dreaming." Donald said, making Ansem laugh.

"Still so blind. None of you seem to realize that the only way for Roxas to return, would be for Sora to give his heart up as well. You will have to call upon the darkness if you which to bring your precious Nobody back." Ansem said, making Sora glare at them in anger.

"Sora won't! He doesn't need the darkness to save everybody." Goofy said, placing a supporting hand on the boy's shoulder, making him smile.

"He may try. But in the end, he'll find that the darkness is never out of reach." Xemnas said, gesturing behind the group, who followed his gaze to see several Neoshadow Heartless behind them.

"Aah! Where'd these guys come from?!" Beast Boy yelped as he and the others summoned their keyblades. Xemnas then waved his hand, making several Dusk Nobodies spawn in as well from white portals.

"Yoo, what are these things?!" Cyborg asked.

"Nobodies! Be careful everyone!" Donald replied, Sora looked back at Ansem and Xemnas as the others engaged the creatures.

"Now, set your heart free." The seekers said together before vanishing into another corridor of darkness.

"Wait!" Sora said, running after them but was too late as the corridor disappeared. Sora gritted his teeth in anger but remembered the main threat behind him and ran back to his team.

"Let's go, everyone!" Sora yelled, twirling his keyblade before releasing a burst of energy, turning his clothes into his previous ones. Everyone charged as the Neoshadows dashed toward them and the Dusks twirled around in weird contortions as well. Sora dashed through the creatures over and over in sonic strikes while Beast Boy charged through the creatures as a rhino. He kept going until he was ensnared by the Dusk, who wrapped around his body to slow and eventually pull him down. More Nobodies jumped on him, but they were quickly destroyed by Donald's Thunder spell, freeing the changeling as he turned back to normal.

"Ugh, that felt weird." Beast Boy said, shuddering. Donald quickly healed him while shooting another Dusk with a fire spell. Meanwhile, Cyborg was shooting at the Neoshadows to keep them at a distance when he suddenly felt something grab his foot. He looked down, only to come face to face with one of the Heartless coming out of the ground and restraining his feet.

"AAAAAHH!" Cyborg screamed. The other Neoshadows leaped into the air and were about to bomb-rush him but were all stopped by a dark shield sprouting from the ground. Raven suddenly appeared and pulled the Heartless grabbing Cyborg's feet out of the ground and destroyed it with a magic blast.

"Thanks. I really hate it when they do that." Cyborg said, before shooting the others with his turret. Raven nodded and disappeared again as more Heartless and Dusk appeared. Sora and Goofy nod together and with the help of the knight's shield, propel themselves into the air and launch Goofy back towards the ground, creating a large shockwave that knocked the new enemies to the grass.

The group continued to fight off the remaining Dusks and Neoshadows until the last Heartless suddenly jumped into the ground and suddenly spawning several pools of darkness beneath everyone's feet.

"What is it doing?!" Starfire asked.

"It's trying to bring back the ones we defeated. Take it out quick!" Sora said, suddenly unleashing a powerful combo of keyblade strikes, quickly destroying the Neoshadow and causing the pools to close. Everyone took a breath as the last Heartless faded out of existence and desummoned their weapons.

"Haha, alright! So, much for their little creature team-up attack for the Xehanort twins, huh?!" Beast Boy said, sarcastically, until he noticed how quiet Sora was being, as did the rest of the team.

"Sora?" Donald asked, concerned.

"I have to remember what Herc said…'With all my heart.' I'm getting you out, Roxas." Sora said, clenching his necklace in his hand. Robin walked up to his friend and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"We're with you, Sora. All of us." Robin said with a smile. Sora smiled back and nodded in response.

"We better get back to town. See if we can contact the others and let them know about Ansem and Xemnas" Sora said.

"Alrighty then, let's go." Goofy said.

"Ok, but can we please avoid the sewer? I don't care if it's cleaner than ours, a sewer is a sewer." Cyborg said as everyone walked into the woods, making everyone laugh.

(Meanwhile, in Radiant Garden)

Ienzo led Riku, Mickey, Leon and Dilan down the long, dark chasm that led to the laboratory deep below.

"You…guys actually worked down here?" Riku asked, concerned.

"We did. Xehanort always had the right words to convince us to keep the experiments going." Dilan said.

"Not just him, Dilan. My curiosity also added to the progression. Maybe I could've talked him out of it or maybe convince you all to remember our Master's teaching." Ienzo said.

"You can't dabble in the past, Ienzo. All you can do now is focus on making a better tomorrow and you already are." Mickey said, making the scientist smile and nod in agreement.

"Here we are." Ienzo said, coming to a stop in front of a large pair of doors. They slid open, revealing a long hallway with several prison cell doors on the walls, leading to locked rooms that would never be accessed again, while at the end of the hall was another door.

"Oh, my…" Leon exclaimed, covering his mouth with his hand as his eyes widened.

"What we seek is at the end of the hall." Dilan said. He and Dilan started down the hall as Leon, Riku, and Mickey stayed at the door, afraid to move forward.

"Better safe than sorry, right?" Leon said, pulling out his gunblade from his sheath and following them. Riku and Mickey nodded in agreement as they summoned their new keyblades. Riku's blade was similar to a pin tumbler lock, with a silver color, two parallel grooves running the length, and circular intents etched along the edges, all connecting to a black and blocky guard. It now had a new name called Braveheart.

Mickey's was a similar design to his previous keyblade, but now had a gold handguard with a diamond-patterned bell shape and a blue blade with stars patterned on it. The blade's name was now called Star Cluster.

They started following Leon and the apprentices as the door closed behind them, passing by every single cell door to see chains on the doors, keypads on each cell, and bars on every window.

"This…is inhumane." Riku said.

"Which is why we were looking forward to getting into this lab, so we can clear it out completely. Fixing the past means clearing the root of our mistakes. This is our root." Ienzo said. They soon made it to the last door, which opened automatically, revealing a circled room with a throne-like chair in the center and the Nobody symbol imprinted on the walls. The group walked further into the room until they saw the damaged armor and keyblade lying on the floor in front of the chair.

"There." Dilan said. Mickey de-summoned his keyblade and ran toward the armor as he placed his hand on the shoulder plate.

"This…this is it. It's really here!" Mickey exclaimed in excitement.

"She really was here. We're on the right track." Riku said.

"We'll help you get it back to your ship. Please, all we can ask now is that this armor be returned to its rightful owner." Dilan said.

"I promise. We will find her." Riku said determined. Dilan nodded as he and Leon gently picked up pieces of the armor and started taking them out of the room and down the hall.

"Ienzo, when you plan to dismantle the lab, please let me know. I want the rest of us to help here too. The Committee I mean." Leon said.

"I will keep you informed of our progress, Mr. Leon. The sooner we clear this lab, the better for all that we have wronged." Ienzo said as the door closed behind them. Unknown to any of them, a low growl echoed from one of the cell doors as a dark-clawed hand grabbed onto the bars and scratched the outside of the cell.

(Meanwhile, back in Twilight Town)

Sora and the group were running through the town after getting out of the sewers, making sure to avoid running into anyone and the moving trains.

"Well, bless my bagpipes! I was wondering who was making all that racket!" A Scottish voice spoke up, making everyone come to a halt. They looked to see a new restaurant in the corner of the Common with chairs and tables set up outside and another duck like Donald walking up to them with a cane. He wore a blue suit, glasses resting on his beak, a top hat on his head, and a white box in the other hand.

"I-Is that-"Cyborg asked.

"Uncle Scrooge!" Donald and Beast Boy yelled. Donald, Goofy, and Sora ran up him while the Teen Titans hung back.

"What? No gonna bombard him with questions?" Raven asked Beast Boy, who was still shaking with excitement.

"I'm getting a little at my outbursts. Well, almost!" Beast Boy said.

"How are you doing, Mr. Scrooge?" Sora asked.

"Oh! Hello, Sora! You're lookin' hale and hearty, as do your new friends. I heard ye were on another grand adventure. I hope Donald isn't making a menace of himself." Scrooge said, looking at his nephew.

"Wha- no, I- did you have to say that?" Donald asked.

"So, Uncle Scrooge, looks you've been busy setting up here." Goofy said, looking at the new restaurant in town.

"Oh yes, I believed it was time to dip my hand in the culinary world and so I financed this: Le Grand Bistrot. All at the request of the head chef. Oh, speaking of which, the chef wanted to show ye his appreciation for saving him. This is for you." Scrooge said, holding out the white box to Sora. Intrigued, Sora took the box and opened it, revealing a beautiful cake inside, making everyone look inside and awe.

"Ooh, cake, finally something delicious!" Cyborg replied, licking his lips.

"For us? We thank you, friend Scrooge." Starfire said.

"But we don't remember saving anyone. Just a little blue rat." Robin said. Suddenly, Scrooge's hat shook as if something was hidden inside.

"Aye, settle down…The chef wants ye to know it's not a cake, but a tarte aux fruits." Scrooge corrected.

"How did he tell you that?" Raven asked.

"Oh, why keep it under my hat? Everyone, meet Little Chef." Scrooge said, taking his hat off to reveal the blue rat standing on the duck's head.

"HE'S THE CHEF?!" Everyone shouted at once.

"At this point, I'm not surprised anymore." Raven replied.

"Aye, it was a while ago when I had enjoyed the best meal of my life. I asked to meet the chef and I met this wee genius." Scrooge said.

"Bu-but he's a rat! Rats don't cook!" Beast Boy yelled.

"Aye, but this one does! And he's like a poet in the kitchen I'll tell you that much." Scrooge said as Little Chef gestured something before pointing at Sora. "Ooh, I think he wants to cook some more and that you might be able to help Sora." Scrooge said.

"Me? But how? I'm not that much help in the kitchen." Sora said.

"Besides cleaning." Robin replied.

"Go on, show em laddie." Scrooge said, placing the rat on the ground. Little Chef ran over and started climbing up Sora, making the boy laugh until he perched himself on top of Sora's head. He grabbed one of Sora's spikes and tugged on it, suddenly making the boy's arm reach up into the air.

"Woah! That wasn't me!" Sora said. The rat smiled and pulled on another strand, making Sora's other arm shoot up too. "You're doing this? That's incredible, Little Chef." He said.

"Looks like you're controlled by another Puppet King, Sora!" Cyborg said.

"At least he's a good one. Looking forward to working with ya, buddy." Sora said, making the chef smile.

"Hey guys!" Hayner's voice called out and they turned to see Hayner and Olette run up to them.

"Got the posters up, Mr. Scrooge." Olette said.

"Aye, good work, kids." Scrooge said.

"You work for him?" Goofy asked.

"Only small jobs, so far. Nothing big yet." Hayner said.

"Can't believe you did all this, Uncle Scrooge." Donald said.

"Of course, laddie. Provide a bit of entertainment, and give folks a nice, cozy place to relax. Like me bistro here. They'll all be happy, an' hungry, an' eager to spend their money." Scrooge replied, quietly laughing to himself.

"Uncle Scrooge…" Donald replied, while everyone looked at Scrooge in confusion.

"He has his canny moments." Goofy remarked.

"Anyway, we wanted to warn you guys, those creatures might come back, so be careful." Sora said.

"Sounds like you guys are leaving again." Hayner said.

"We have a lot on our plate." Raven said.

"But we will take the time to visit." Goofy said.

"You guys do need more breaks." Olette said, worried.

"Heroes don't take breaks." Robin replied.

"Oh, and one more thing. Keep Roxas in your guys hearts and wish for him to come back." Sora said.

"You don't even have to ask." Hayner said with a smile, making Sora smile and nod in happiness. Unknown to anyone, Xemnas and Ansem were watching them from a nearby rooftop when suddenly another corridor opened behind them, letting Xigbar walk out.

"You're making it a little too obvious, ya know?" Xigbar said.

"We were instructed to guide him." Xemnas replied.

"And at this point, they're not going to make it far, even if we lay the answer at their feet." Ansem said.

"True, but don't forget the amount of times Sora ruined our party." Xigbar said.

"If he breaks from the path, then we'll destroy him." Ansem said.

"Then we lose a potential vessel. But he did bring other morsels to the table if we did." Xigbar said.

"Even still, it's always good to have a backup plan." Xemnas said.

And that is the end! I hope you all are staying safe and sound during our new year. I would normally apologize for taking so long, but I wanted to put in as much as I could into this story, and I wanted to make it sound good for you all. But I do apologize for keeping you all waiting. I hate keeping people waiting and I hope you all enjoy this chapter. I'm also thankful for you all sticking with my story and keeping the interest going, I do appreciate it. Now, onto the reviews:

NinjaFang1331: I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was really looking forward to writing that part, especially since Sora didn't really get angry either during that part.

KingKaiju5: I've thought about including her in someway. I'll have to think more on it if I do decide to use DC Terra.

3bodyjaa: Thank you, I hope you enjoyed this chapter.

XenoBlaze: Yeah, Fanfiction was having some issues, but it seems to be fixed now. Yeah, I was really looking forward to writing that scene. As for the Titans gear, I'm gonna be saving that for later.

Arturwho: Thank you. I do think Riku should've said goodbye to his keyblade, its been with him since 2.

Ian12091995: Thank you! I hope you enjoyed this chapter.

Cman6465: Will do, my friend! I'm really looking forward to writing that part as well.

Afleoknight: I'm glad you liked it. Something like that will definitely take place with Aqua when Sora confronts her.

Anthony Ruiz: I was planning on sticking with the worlds in 3 and try to change a couple of them to have better stories. I'll think on if I want to include new worlds.

QuintinFMA: I read another fan story about Aqua being Sora's mom and I loved the idea. I tried to make it sensible so that the times matched up and made Aqua and Terra a little older than their canon age. Plus, I do love the idea of the TTG and I'll see if I can make it into something.

Guest1: Thank you my friend. I wish you the best as well and stay safe. I hope you enjoyed this chapter as well.

Gaten Lee: You're good my friend.

Jamiekeyblade123: If you have an idea go for it, my friend. Don't let anything stop you. Hope you enjoyed this chapter too.

Althea Sirius: Indeed, Best to get the anger out now so you can focus later. Happy New Year to you my friend.

Khy Dragon: Off on another journey again!

Kamizuma24: After the KH3 section of my story.

Yang34: Coming up soon my friend. Hope you enjoy.

FiveWingedAngel: Nice, hope you enjoy this chapter my friend.

D.J. Scales: Aqua and Terra are a little older in this story and she and Terra are Sora's actual parents. For sure, the drive forms have to return in some way. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
