Chapter 66: The Toy Box Pt. 1

(The Secret Forest)

The sun shined brightly over a vast forest full of lush and bright green trees and the ground was covered in bright green grass and clovers. There was also a large cliff with a rock and a log, along with a clearing that overlooked the entire forest. Nothing could be heard but the sound of nature, birds chirping and the wind softly blowing against the trees.

*Clash*

*Clang*

*Clink*

Suddenly, the sounds of blade meeting blade echoed across the forest, originating from another clearing where two keyblade trainees were sparring. One was Sora and Riku's childhood friend Kairi wielding her keyblade, Destiny's Embrace. The other was Lea, who formerly went by Axel and was one of the Organization's former members, who wielded his newly acquired keyblade, Bond of the Blaze. Kairi ducked and dodged a few strikes from Lea before taking a few swings of her own. Lea managed to easily block the strikes and retaliate with a counter but was stopped and forced back by a magic shield Kairi created around her.

"Huh, nice block. You're getting better with that shield, Princess." Lea said, standing back up and twirling his keyblade around. Kairi smiled and lowered her shield as well.

"Thanks, Lea." Kairi replied. Lea smiled but then shook his head a little while running a hand through his hair.

"Ah, right sorry. You hate being called that." Lea said, making her smile.

"It's fine, Lea. C'mon, let's take a break and then we'll get back to it." Kairi said, de-summoning her keyblade in a burst of pink light while Lea did the same in a burst of flames.

"Time for one of your daily entries, right?" Lea said as they started walking towards the cliffs. Kairi nodded toward a nearby tree where a small notebook rested against the stump. She picked it up and ran to catch up with her fellow trainee.

"It's a good pass time from training. Helps keep my mind off whatever comes in the future." Kairi replied.

"Hhm, too true. Mind if I join you?" Lea asked, surprising her.

"Oh, um sure." Kairi said. Suddenly, they heard a loud boom echo through the sky and they looked up to see a blue light flying to another clearing in the forest. The light softly landed in the forest, creating a large glow around the area.

"Ah, right on time. I'll go see what Mr. wizard wants." Lea said.

"Tell him I said hi. I'll be up on the cliff." Kairi said as the two split up. The girl found herself a comfy seat on a log and opened up her notebook, writing whatever was on her mind.

Dear Sora,

I'm sorry I left without saying good-bye. I hope Master Yen Sid told you everything. Training to become a Keyblade Wielder…wow, it's a little strange to say, I mean write that down out loud. That's right, I'm not gonna be waiting on you or for the others to come back from these adventures. I'll be right there to help you all when the big battles start. Merlin used his magic to bring me and Lea to a place where time doesn't move. It gives us all the time we need to finish our training and be with you guys. He's an amazing wizard and such a good friend. I wish I could convey to you how beautiful this place is, but words aren't enough.

Lea has been a good and supportive sparring partner and he's sorry for all the trouble he caused. I told him it's fine, but he won't stop apologizing. Honestly, he's said sorry so many times, I think I lost count. I'll admit I was a little scared of him at first, but I've gotten to know him more. All he ever wanted was to help his friend. Honestly, it's hard not to like him. It's weird, but every now and then, I'll catch him staring at me. When I ask what's wrong, he says.

'I'm not sure. I think I'm forgetting something. Don't know what.'

Sora, not to sound like I'm pointing fingers, but I think it may have something to do with you. Your journey is all about helping people; even people that you haven't even met before. Lea is one of the people that you have met and I think they're all counting on you. I know it won't be easy, but I hope you'll remain the happy and cheerful Sora that I know. There's no heart your smile can't reach.

Kairi smiled as she finished her entry and looked up from her notebook toward the sunset, only to feel a familiar presence next to her. She turned to see Lea standing next to her with a blank look in his eyes and a small bag in hand.

"Oh, that was fast. What's wrong?" she asked, snapping him out of his daze.

"Huh? Nothin, sorry." Lea said, looking away.

"Lea, I can't keep up with any more apologies." Kairi said.

"What? I am." Lea said, running a hand through his hair as he took a seat across from her on another rock. "How's the entry or letter going?" Lea asked.

"Letter this time. And it's just about finished. Kairi said.

"To who? Sora, maybe?" Lea asked, making Kairi look down and blush a little.

"Technically yes. But I'm not gonna send it. It's more for me." Kairi said.

"So, it's a dairy/letter, right? Well, I can ask Merlin for ya next time he pops up. He can deliver it for you." Lea said, with a smirk.

"Oh no! It's okay. I just like talking to Sora, even if it's on paper." Kairi, clutching her letter close.

"Okay, okay I'm just joking. Oh, right, before I forget." Lea said, reaching into the bag to pull out two sea-salt ice cream bars.

"Ice cream?! How?" Kairi asked.

"Oh, I asked Merlin to make a quick stop before he came. We never did have a chance to celebrate our whole keyblade summoning. Here." Lea said, handing one of the bars to her. With a smile, she took it while setting her notebook on the ground.

"You're sweet, Lea. Thanks." Kairi said, taking a small bite of the bar.

"Naw, it's no problem." Lea replied. The two enjoyed their ice cream for a little until Kairi caught Lea staring at her again.

"What is it?" Kairi asked.

"N-nothing, I just…" Lea said.

"Are you…trying to remember something?" Kairi asked, confused.

"Well, I uh…think so…yeah." Lea said, looking out toward the sun. Kairi gave him another confused look before changing the subject.

"So tomorrow, three rounds in the ring this time. You up for it?" Kairi asked, giving a pretend swing with her ice cream bar.

"Always." Lea said in an out-of-distance-like tone as he stared out toward the sun, the light beaming across his face.

"Don't hold back, Lea. Promise?" Kairi said, making his eyes widen in response. He looked back at Kairi, but instead of seeing her, he saw another girl in her place. She wore a black cloak like his but instead had heels instead of boots. She had short black hair, but her face was obscured by the sunlight. Slowly, the light parted to reveal her blue eyes and face similar to Kairi. For the life of him, he couldn't remember her name, but the very sight of her made him drop his ice cream and tears to form in his eyes and flow down his face.

"Oh! Lea! Are you okay?" Kairi said, walking over to him.

"Yeah…So-I mean, it's fine." Lea said, wiping his face over and over.

"What's wrong? I've never seen you cry before." Kairi said as Lea cleared his throat.

"Ah, I'm fine Princess. Just something in my eyes." Lea said.

"Lea…" Kairi insisted. The man shook his head and stood up from the rock, making Kairi step away.

"I'm…gonna go see what other food we got. Sorry, see you tomorrow." Lea said.

"Ok, but enough with the apologies, okay?" Kairi asked.

"Hhm, alright, but on one condition." Lea said.

"What?" She asked.

"Call me Axel from now on. Got it memorized?" Lea (*ahem* I mean) Axel said.

"Yeah. Okay,…Axel." Kairi said with a smile. Axel smile back and walked away from the cliff, leaving behind his discarded sea-salt ice cream in the grass at Kairi's feet. She looked down towards it before looking back at Lea's retreating back, with nothing but concern written on her face.

(Meanwhile, in Radiant Garden)

Riku, King Mickey, Leon, and Dilan were walking back to the Gummi Ship after they visited the underground laboratory, with Dilan carrying the empty armor of Master Aqua and her keyblade with him. They eventually reached the courtyard where the ship was parked and where Aqua and Terra-Xehanort had their fight.

"I shall get the armor securely onto your ship for you." Dilan said.

"Thank you, Dilan. We really appreciate it." Mickey replied.

"I'm sure she'll be just as thankful to have it back when we find her." Riku said. Dilan smiled and nodded, comforted by their confidence. He turned to look at Leon who still had a solemn look on his face.

"Mr. Leonhart, please know that we will keep you informed on the progress we make on dismantling the lab. That's a mark on our history that we hope to erase soon." Dilan replied. Leon nodded in reply before looking back at the castle.

"Thank you, Dilan. I want to help you and the others in restoring the castle. Now knowing that it wasn't Master Ansem, but Xehanort who continued the experiments, I'm hoping to help re-establish his legacy for everyone." Leon said, making Dilan smile and nod in agreement.

"Well, if I don't see you after this, we'll be sure to keep you informed." Dilan said, turning and walking toward the ship. Leon then turned to Mickey and Riku catching their attention.

"Speaking of which, I have some things I need to attend to around town, so I'll have to get going. Your Majesty, it's always an honor to see you. Riku, it was a pleasure to meet you after all this time." Leon said, shaking Riku's hand.

"It was nice to meet you too, Leon. Thanks for the help." Riku said.

"We really do appreciate it, Leon. Take care, okay?" Mickey said. Leon smiled and shook the King's hand. He nodded once more before walking toward the town, leaving the two masters by their lonesome.

"This is where the fight happened." Mickey said. Riku looked around the courtyard, wondering how the fight fully played out ever since the video was cut out. Wondering what happened to Terra-Xehanort and how Aqua ended up in the Realm of Darkness.

"I wish we knew what really happened here. Why did Aqua sacrifice herself?" Riku said.

"From what she said in the Realm of Darkness, Terra was acting strange…different." Mickey said.

"Different how, exactly?" Riku asked, confused.

"She sensed a great darkness within him, like he was no longer himself and that resulted in their fight here." Mickey said.

"I wonder what she must've been thinking while they were fighting. Probably the same thing Sora was thinking when he fought me." Riku said, crossing his arms in deep thought.

"They were thinking, 'I'll do anything I can to save my friend.' That's what." Mickey said with a smile, making the boy smile as well.

"Anyway, we know what happened to Xehanort, but…what happened to Terra? From all that we've seen, it sounds like she saved him." Riku said. In response, Mickey shook his head with a lowered expression.

"She did…but we didn't see all the clues." Mickey said.

"What do you mean?" Riku asked.

"Remember at the end of the Mark of Mastery? The Xehanort that came back was the one I remember. As an old man. And yet, in the portrait back at the lab, Xehanort was drawn as a young man. Plus, Xehanort said that one of us still belonged to him." Mickey said. Riku thought it over until all the pieces fell into place in his head, making his eyes widen in shock.

"Wait! A-are you saying that Xehanort possessed Terra?! And has been using his body the whole time?!" Riku asked, trying to make sense of the situation.

"Yup. It looks like Aqua saved more than Terra from the Realm of Darkness. That also explains why Ansem and Xemnas were young the whole time instead of being old." Mickey said.

"But…that still doesn't explain what happened to Terra's body now. Especially since Master Xehanort is old again." Riku said.

"Hhm…best I could think of is that Xehanort is collecting vessels for the Organization. He tried to take Sora, but we got him back, so that must mean Terra is still with them, in some way." Mickey replied.

"Hhm, we should let Sora know about our findings." Riku said.

"Yup, and Merlin too, to keep Kairi and Lea informed." Mickey said. The boy smiled and nodded in agreement.

"Let's head back to the Tower. We'll inform them on the way. Make sure that armor gets cleaned up too." Riku said as the two walked together toward their parked ship.

(Meanwhile, with Sora)

Sora piloted his ship toward another world after going through a rigorous gauntlet of Gummi Heartless that attempted to block their path. He could see their next world out in the distance, though he couldn't make out many details.

"Guys, we're coming up on the next world!" Sora yelled out through the cockpit. Beast Boy suddenly zipped into the cockpit and jumped onto Sora's seat, trying to get a good look at the world before them, making Sora struggle with the controls.

"OOH! Ooh! Which movie is it?! Which one? Which one?" Beast Boy asked excitedly as he climbed over the seat.

"BB, get off! I'm flying remember!" Sora said, shrugging the changeling off as the others walked into the cockpit.

"Oh, hehe, sorry." Beast Boy said, scratching his hair nervously.

"Sora, is this another world you have been to?" Starfire asked. Sora, Donald, and Goofy took a look at a computer screen that showed an outline of the world, looking to see if anything stuck out to them.

"It doesn't look familiar." Goofy said.

"A new world for once? Finally!" Donald exclaimed.

"Guess this is gonna be a new experience for all of us." Robin said.

"I'll be sure to document it for future reference." Jiminy spoke up from Sora's hood.

"Thanks, Jiminy." Sora said with a smile.

"Sounds like we should be ready for anything then, right?" Raven asked while Sora nodded.

"Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Let's get going!" Cyborg replied.

"Got it! I'll see if there's a place where we can land." Sora said, maneuvering the ship closer to the world. But as they got closer to the world, the ship suddenly started to get surrounded by glowing and sparkling light, making the heroes shut their eyes to avoid blindness while the vessel started to lightly shake.

"Uh, Sora, is this normal?!" Beast Boy asked, clutching to the back of his seat like a frightened cat, while the others strapped on their belts and held on.

"Urgh, only if worlds have special properties. But this one seems special! Hold on tight, everyone!" Sora said, struggling with the controls. Eventually, the light overtook everyone's sight as the world got closer and closer.

(Commercial Break)

On a dark night in a giant mega city with skyscrapers that touched the stars, a great battle was taking place between a group of men and giant, hulking mechas while a bright beam of light shot up from the roof of the building they were on.

One of the young men, who seemed to be the leader of the group, had two different-colored eyes: his left eye was red while the right eye was blue. He had short silver hair with darkened roots and a pair of silver stud earrings in each ear. He wore a black, hooded jacket with gold buttons adorning his plaid-pattern lapels. The jacket had short sleeves with an emblem of a skull, a crown, and crossed keys on each side. Beneath the jacket was a black sleeveless shirt with a red V-neck. He also wore black cropped trousers and a belt tucked under his shirt, black gloves on each hand that went to his forearms and black high-top boots.

In the man's hands were two weapons to combat the mechas: a small crossbow-like weapon and a sword with a glowing orange edge. His teammates fended off the mechas with their weapons as the man sprinted up the staircase and up toward the roof where the pink beam of light was being surrounded by the mechas. The man sprinted at high speeds to see a girl standing on the roof, acting as the source of the beam. She had long black hair and blue eyes with a star necklace around her neck, white gloves, a white dress and white high-heel shoes.

Suddenly, a large, green portal opened in the sky as a result of the beam, causing the skyscrapers to start crumbling into pieces and get sucked into the sky. The man and his group of friends continued to fend off the mechas with energy-projected shields and traps to ensnare the robots, allowing the man to finish them off with one big slash from his blade. The girl suddenly lets out a powerful shockwave of energy, causing the building they were all on to fall apart as a purple cloud formed in the center of the city. The group jumped onto another building as the whole city soon started to fall apart from the newly formed vortex. They jump back in and reengage the mechas, who swarmed in on them to stop them from reaching the girl. The team creates an opening for the man with a combination of an ice spell and a shield, allowing him to dive through and reach out for the girl. The girl opened her eyes and reached out as well and they were just about to touch when suddenly the purple vortex faded away like glass, revealing another mecha that grabbed the girl, preventing them from reaching. The man and his team regroup on another roof and look up in anger to see a much larger mecha that was bigger than the building they were standing on as it readied its own weapons.

The man readies his sword and aims with his crossbow, charging a shot as suddenly it zooms into his blue eye as a name appears.

VERUM REX

The man is then seen leaning against a staircase with his weapons next to him while his teammates stand around him while another group of figures could be seen on a nearby building. Then text appeared below him that said "Video Game Available Now." while two editions of the game showed up to the right of him. After that, another ad shows up to reveal three different mecha or gigas action figures: a red gigas with a large fist, a purple gigas with a large arm cannon, and a blue gigas with shoulder-mounted cannons.

(Meanwhile, with Sora)

'Urgh, what was that? Wasn't a dream but…' Sora said, shaking his head as he stood up from the floor. He looked at his surroundings to see a yellow and blue ball with a red star on it next to him and a bunch of other toys around him and a large bed over his head.

"Hhm, looks like we shrunk." Sora said, running a hand through his hair, though he noticed that his hair and hand felt surprisingly smooth to the touch. He heard several groans behind him and he turned to see Donald, Goofy, and the Titans standing up slowly, still recovering from their weird landing.

"Is everyone okay?" Robin asked, almost drowsily.

"Yeah, that entrance just felt weird." Cyborg replied.

"Indeed, where are we?" Starfire asked.

"Uh, still trying to figure that out." Sora said, walking closer to the sunlight.

"What in the world is this place?" Goofy asked

"Ugh, are we under a giant bed? Have we been shrunk?!" Beast Boy asked, looking at his surroundings in amazement.

"Let us find out, Beast Boy!" Donald exclaimed. Sora walked out from under the bed to see the room they were in: it had a wooden floor with blue walls decorated with gold stars and white clouds, two windows that led outside, a large desk with a television and a red lamp on it, a blue bean bag chair next to the desk, a board on the wall with multiple kid drawings tacked to the wall, a skateboard, lying at the foot of the desk, a bedside desk and a soccer ball next to them, and trash littered around the room.

"Yup, that confirms it. We're small." Raven said.

"And TOYS too!" Beast Boy exclaimed as everyone turned to face each other and saw that they were indeed in the form of action figures. Everyone's clothes were fitted to their form so they couldn't move and their joints were now connected like individual pieces. Donald and Goofy's designs were a little different in being darker and both having green and blue hats.

"Oh, my hair! It is plastic!" Starfire said, trying to run her hands through her hair but having no luck.

"Why does it feel like I have actual buttons on me?" Cyborg asked, looking down at his forearms to see buttons that were labeled "press to shoot" printed on him. "Oh come on, that ain't right!" He exclaimed.

"How am I going to change like this?" Beast Boy yelled in worry. He quickly changed to a horse, but only turned into a green, toy horse and a green plastic giraffe before quickly changing back into his normal self. "Agh, that's weird." The changeling said, holding his head.

"Does this happen often, Sora?" Raven asked.

"Most of the time. Most of the worlds we've been to have specific properties that normal people wouldn't fit into. So, to make sure we don't stand out, Donald cast a magic spell on us that would change our appearances automatically. That way, we don't cause any huge disturbances or mess with the world order." Sora said.

"So, to keep the peace, per se, you change your look to fit in better?" Robin asked.

"Pretty much." Donald said.

"How many times has this happened to you guys?!" Beast Boy asked in amazement.

"Uh, let's see, there were the times in Atlantica, Halloween Town, Tron's world, that time we went to the past…" Goofy said, listing them on his finger.

"Oh, don't forget Simba's world! That one was cool!" Sora said.

"Yeah, only cause you turned into a lion!" Donald replied, while Sora shrugged with a smile on his face.

"You turned- ok are there any other crazy stories you have yet to share with us?!" Beast Boy asked.

"Way too many to share right now." Sora said.

"Yes and I believe that we have company that will hinder us from hearing." Starfire said, pointing toward a group of Heartless standing next to a large white door and multiple shelves filled with toys and books. The Heartless wore black space suits and wielded small blasters and jetpacks.

"Heartless!" Sora yelled as everyone summoned their weapons and charged at the group of enemies. What none of the heroes knew was that a group of toys were watching them from the top of the bed as the fight went down. The Heartless use their jetpacks to full effect and fire at the team with their blasters. Raven quickly created a shield around the team to defend them from the projectiles.

Everyone quickly used their own projectiles to take out the airborne Heartless with a combination of magic, sonic blasts, starbolts, and explosive discs. Soon, more Heartless spawned in along with other Heartless with a small cone-shaped body and a ring of fire around it. The other Heartless was similar in shape but had a jagged ring of electricity around it.

"Watch out! Those ones can use magic!" Donald called out, summoning fireworks to launch at them instead of his usual elements. Sora and Raven quickly backed him up by shooting light and dark projectiles while Robin, Beast Boy, Goofy, Starfire, and Cyborg cleared out the remaining space-themed Heartless with different attacks, effortlessly destroying them. Everyone quickly regrouped and put away their weapons.

"Well, that was easy. So, has anyone figured out where we are yet?" Robin asked.

"I'm starting to get an idea. But we won't know until-" Cyborg replied.

"Are they new?" someone asked behind them. The whole group turned around, only for everyone's (except Donald and Goofy) jaws to fall to the ground in shock to see who was walking toward them. Four toys were walking toward them, very much alive and moving.

One was a thin ragdoll-like cowboy toy with plastic hands and boots. His head had pale skin, brown eyes, brown hair, and a brown plastic cowboy hat. He wore a red-patterned yellow shirt with folded cuffs and silver buttons under a black and white cow-skin vest with a sheriff badge pinned to it. He also wore dark blue denim pants with a brown belt and an empty gun holster buckled with an ovular tan buckle and the boots were brown with tan spurs. He also had a red bandanna tied around his neck and a white ring on his back attached to a pull string.

Another seemed to be an astronaut-like action figure. He had a large build and a prominent chin and his head and neck were covered by a tight purple cowl. He wore a white space suit with a green chest plate featuring red, green, and blue buttons on the right side and a large red button on his left. His right arm had a red light bulb as well and a black coil around his waist.

The third seemed to be a literal pink, piggy bank with a giant slot going up his back for coins and black eyes.

The fourth was a green tyrannosaurus toy with a white underbelly, white teeth, small green arms, and black eyes.

"They are alive! And real!" Starfire quietly said.

"I-I knew it! I-It could only be them!" Beast Boy exclaimed quietly.

"I…thought I've seen everything, but this is…" Robin said with widened eyes.

"Yeah, dude. Mind…blown!" Cyborg replied.

"You guys are surprisingly…doing well with this." Raven said.

"We're learning. Slowly learning." Beast Boy replied. Sora, Donald, and Goofy kept their cool as the toys walked closer to them when suddenly the T-Rex toy pushed past the other toys and ran up to Sora, making the boy uncomfortable.

"Wait! Ah-Ah-You look familiar! I know this. You're, uh, you're, uhhh…" The toy said, thinking of something.

"Ummm…" Sora could only say in confusion.

"Yozora!" The piggy bank exclaimed.

"That…is almost close." Donald said.

"Um, I'm sorry I think you have me confused with someone else. My name is Sora." Sora replied when suddenly a red light appeared on his chest. Everyone looked up to see the light originating from the astronaut, who was crouched in a cautious pose and aiming the bulb at Sora.

"Stay back! For all we know, the intruders sent them!" The space toy replied when suddenly the T-rex grabbed onto Sora, while the boy tried to push the toy away.

"Yozora!" The T-rex called out again, embracing the boy in a hug while everyone but the other toys let out a collective aww. The T-Rex, in response, looked toward the Titans, making his eyes widen even more. "Huh! Look, Hamm, they look like the new figures that are going to be introduced soon!" Rex exclaimed running over to the Titans and inspecting them while the pig walked over to them too.

"Eh, they kinda do. I wonder if these guys were released early or something. But we won't know until the game comes out." The pig replied.

"Early release?" Beast Boy asked.

"Game?" Robin asked as well.

"Slow down there, Rex. We don't know them." The cowboy spoke up while walking up to the group.

"But we can trust them. They're the number-one-selling heroes in the country!" The dinosaur, now known as Rex, exclaimed.

"Yeah, Andy's mom must've bought 'em for him." The pig, known as Hamm replied.

"C'mon Woody! Did you see how easily they took care of the intruders? I bet they're here to figure out why all our friends have gone missing, why Buzz's laster started lasering…and all the other weird stuff that's going on. I mean, that's what heroes do, right?" Rex replied while Buzz looked at his laser and everyone else looked around in curiosity.

"Let's not jump to conclusions." Buzz replied, while Woody thought it over. "Gotta be smart, Woody." The space ranger whispered. Woody thought it over some more before smiling and walking over to the group.

"So, you're all…Andy's new toys?" Woody asked. The group and share a look and nod in agreement.

"Guess so." Goofy said.

"You sure did a number on those intruders. I'm Woody; the space ranger is Buzz, that's Hamm, and well, you've met Rex." Woody introduced everyone.

"Well as I already introduced myself, this is Donald, Goofy, Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Raven." Sora said.

"Those intruders are called Heartless." Goofy said.

"Yeah, the bad guys!" Beast Boy called out in excitement.

"We have been fighting the Heartless for quite some time." Starfire said.

"Ha! Knew it!" Rex called out. Woody placed a hand over his chin in thought at the new info.

"Ok, in that case, you're all right by me." Woody said with a smile while Buzz looked shocked at the choice. "Put 'er there." Woody said offering his hand for a shake. Sora placed his hand in Woody's and the two shook it off, making everyone cheer and meet each other.

"So, I gotta ask, is it Yozora or Sora?" Woody asked.

"Oh, just Sora. I think Rex has me confused with-" Sora said but was interrupted by Rex pushing in again.

"His name is Yozora! Oh, I'm such a big fan of yours! I've been playing your game for months now and I've already gotten you all the way up to level 47. But that Bahamut boss is really tough. Slinky and I can't figure out how to beat him. Oh, I wish Slinky and the others were here. They'd be so happy to meet you." Rex called out.

"Oh, well I would've liked to have met them too Rex, but I'm not this Yozora…person." Sora said.

"What do you mean? You look just like him and everything!" Rex said, making Sora laugh nervously. Meanwhile, Beast Boy was looking around in awe as he stepped around the room.

"Hey!" a voice called out below him. Confused, he looked down to see one of his boots next to a group of six green army men below him. Scared, he quickly moved his foot away while keeping his eye on the green men.

"Whoa! Um, sorry uh sirs." Beast Boy stammered out.

"You best watch where you put your foot next time, boy or we will show hostile force! Understood?!" One of the green men yelled out.

"Uh, sir yes sir!" The changeling yelled while standing at attention and saluting. The green men march over next to Woody and salute the newcomers.

"All troops at attention, sir!" The Sarge yelled out while Sora, Donald, and Goofy salute back to them. Suddenly, the sound of a moving skateboard catches everyone's attention and they all look to see three small aliens riding the board. The aliens had green skin with three eyes, and a small antenna on their heads, and they wore blue space suits with purple collars and blue belts. The skateboard was coming in fast and was almost about to hit everyone but Starfire flew in front of them and brought them to a stop. The three aliens jumped off the board one and by one and waddled over to the newcomers.

"Strangers." One of the aliens said.

"From the outside." Another alien said.

"Whoooaaaaa." The three aliens said together, making Cyborg and Beast Boy geek out even more.

"Welcome." The third alien spoke up.

"Oh, they are so cute!" Starfire said, picking one of the aliens up and bear-hugging him, making the toy squeek.

"I never thought I would be a toy! This is so cool!" Sora said, looking at his hands and feet.

"A first for you? Impossible." Raven joked, making the two laugh a little.

"You said that you've battled those intruders before. Could you tell us where and why?" Buzz asked Robin.

"We've…encountered them before in our travels before. We've managed to fight them once and we learned how to overtime." Robin replied.

"I see. But what is it about you all that allows you to beat those monsters? You must've come from somewhere special for you to gain whatever strength you have." Buzz asked.

"Take it easy, Buzz. What matters is that they got those intruders out of our way, at least for a little while. No need to interrogate them." Woody said.

"Yeah, Buzz!" Rex exclaimed.

"Noted. But still…" Buzz said, still thoughtful.

"Have the Heartless been a problem around here lately?" Raven asked.

"No, they just showed up a little while ago." Woody answered.

"In fact, those "Heartless" -as you call them- materialized…right after all of our friends up and vanished." Buzz said.

"That's not a coincidence." Cyborg said while everyone nodded in agreement and Woody looked out toward the open window.

"It wasn't always this lonely. One day we woke up, and we were the only toys left here." Woody said, walking over to a nearby toy block and sitting down on it.

"Like this Slinky…and others too?" Goofy asked.

"And our owners: Andy, Molly, Andy's Mom…" Woody said, resting his right boot on his leg and looking at the bottom of the boot. Curious, Sora walked closer to see over Woody's shoulder to see the name, Andy, crudly written on the bottom of his boot. "So far, all we've done is wait for Andy- or anybody- to come home." Woody said, looking downcast at the situation, along with the other toys.

"I'm really sorry, Woody. You must really care for him." Sora said. Woody looked back at Sora with a smile and stood up from the block, walking over to the other toys.

"Yeah…He's the best kid that toys like us could ever hope to have." Woody said.

"All right, We'll help where we can." Sora said, determined.

"Well, if were going to, we need to find a good place to look." Robin replied, just as determined.

"Huh?" Woody asked, confused at the sudden offer.

"Woody, have you got any clues we can go on, any other strange stuff going on?" Raven asked.

"Well… Hmmm." Woody murmured in thought, racking his head for any other clues. "There's one thing." The cowboy responded.

"One big thing." Hamm replied.

"Huge, sir?" The green Sarge said.

"What thing?" Rex asked.

"Yeah, seriously, what thing?" Beast Boy asked.

"After everyone went MIA, the intruders didn't come alone. They arrived with a man dressed in a black hood, just like you. He's the only other toy we've seen, outside of all of you." Buzz said.

"Black hood? Oh, that is not good news." Starfire said while everyone shared a nod of agreement.

"You guys know who it is?" Woody asked.

"Yeah, that guy in the black hood is all bad news. But not this guy, he's good." Beast Boy said, while pointing at Sora, making the boy smile.

"Sounds like you have a lot of enemies." Buzz said.

"I think we have an idea to the weird stuff going on around here. You can leave the rest to us, Woody." Sora said.

"I'm sorry, but we're not gonna leave this to you." Woody said.

"Huh?" everyone asked.

"If that guy had something to with our friends vanishing, then he's our problem too. We've got to work together on this." Woody said, offering another handshake. Sora smile and shook the toys hand.

"Right!" Sora replied.

"Alright, sheriff, do you know where we can find this guy?" Cyborg asked.

"Sarge, any word from the recon team?" Woody asked the green soldier.

"The latest reports place him in town, sir. At Galaxy Toys!" The Sarge reported, pointing over to the billboard that showed a paper advertising said store.

"Then Galaxy Toys is where we're going. " Woody said.

"Not so fast, cowboy. You seem pretty gung ho about going, but shouldn't we stay here and wait for Andy? What if he or the others come back and we're not here?" Buzz asked, making the cowboy think again.

"Well, you've got a point, but…we've tried waiting, Buzz. Chances are, if we go with Sora, we might find a clue. Better than waiting here with no clue at all. Are you with me, Buzz?" Woody asked. The space ranger smiled a little and walked closer to the group.

"Of course, partner. Okay, let's move out!" Buzz said.

"One more question: how are we going to there? Unless you intend for us to walk there?" Raven asked.

"Meh, we've walked further." Hamm said.

"Still a good question." Buzz said thinking. Woody thought it over until his eyes landed on the discarded skateboard the aliens were using. A smile crept to his face as he turned back to the others.

"Buzz, do you know if we have any spare fireworks around?" Woody asked.

"I don't think Andy carries any fireworks, Woody. And I think we used the last one last time." Buzz said.

"But I've got some. What were you thinking, Woody?" Donald asked. The toy smiled and gathered everyone together.

(A few minutes later)

"Is everyone holding on tight?" Woody said as the skateboard now sat in the middle of the street, filled with only a few cars here and there. Both groups were strapped to the skateboard by the large belts and at the back of the skateboard were a multitude of small and large rockets ready to launch. Woody, Buzz, Sora, and Robin were at the front, Starfire, Raven, Donald, and Goofy were in the middle. Beast Boy, Cyborg, Hamm, and Rex were at the back. The aliens and the green soliders were scattered about while Sarge was holding onto Sora's plastic hood.

"T-tight as possible." Beast Boy said nervously while chuckling.

"Are we sure this is a safe idea?" Donald asked.

"Sure it's safe, we've done it before and we turned out alright." Woody said.

"We had to cut ourselves from the rocket before we blew up with it." Buzz said.

"Yeah, but we made it." Woody said.

"Whatever happens, just hold on tight everyone." Sora replied.

"Starfire, can you do the honors?" Woody asked.

"I can indeed, Sherrif Woody!" Starfire said, turning back and shooting a small starbolt at the linked-together fuses of the fireworks, lighting them all up at once. Everyone got ready for the inevitable take-off as they held on tight to the edges of the skateboard. Eventually, the fuses hit the fireworks and with a powerful explosion, the skateboard took off at high speeds down the street. Everyone screamed out in fear, excitement, and pure adrenaline as the board rocketed down the neighborhood and toward the store.

(Meanwhile, with Riku and Mickey)

The King's personal Gummi Ship flew through the Oceans Between with Mickey and Riku piloting and Aqua's armor safely placed in the storage room, just waiting for proper repair and cleaning. It was mostly silent in the cockpit as the two masters focused on their flying to avoid asteroids or Gummi Heartless that might come their way. But Riku wasn't able to entirely focus on his flying, eventually setting his controls to autopilot and cross his arms in thought. Mickey, noticing his friend's silent thinking, set his controls to autopilot as well and turned his chair to face the boy.

"What's wrong, Riku?" Mickey asked, taking the boy out of his thoughts.

"Hhm, oh uh just thinking of something." Riku said.

"Something about Aqua?" Mickey asked.

"Kinda, it was more about Sora." Riku replied.

"Are you worried about him? We know he can take care of himself, ya know?" Mickey said.

"No, I know he can. It's just…I've known Sora my whole life and I've seen him get angry, like really angry, only a few times: when he was looking for me, whenever we fought the Nobodies but that might've been Roxas's influence, when I betrayed him…" Riku counted off.

"Riku…" Mickey replied, worried about where the boy was going with this.

"I know, Mickey. But, the way Sora reacted about Aqua…it wasn't just anger…it was…" Riku said.

"It felt personal, didn't it? Like really personal to him? I noticed that too. I mean, Sora is always determined to save anyone in need, that's just how he is, but that blow-up was…unique." Mickey said.

"Yeah, like someone you truly care about is in danger." Riku said as the two thought it over.

"Riku, Aqua said she met you guys once on the island when you were children, right?" Mickey asked, surprising the boy.

"Y-yeah she did. How did you-" Riku asked.

"She told me when we were in the Realm of Darkness that she met you two. Do you remember if there seemed to be like a personal connection between them? Like they've met before?" Mickey asked. Riku thought to himself, remembering all those years ago when Aqua visited the Destiny Islands, asking if Sora would protect Riku if he was to ever fall into darkness. He remembered not quite understanding what she was talking about, but now her words seemed more relevant than ever in everyone's current situation.

"Hhm, no I don't think so. Sora's never been off the island and he seemed to have never met her before either. I…don't think Aqua's ever met him before either, but it was the first time I met her so I can't say for certain." Riku said, making Mickey look down in thought.

"Something is definitely going on with those two. We might be missing some necessary info. We'll have to ask Sora if he knows something when we see him next." Mickey said.

"I was thinking about calling him, just to make sure he's okay." Riku said.

"He might be busy in the world he's in and we have to make sure Aqua's armor gets back safely too. Let's give it some time before we do." Mickey said, when suddenly the ship's alarms went off, while the cockpit flashed a red light. The two Masters quickly took control of the ship and looked out the window to see a large red and black Gummi Heartless with a giant claw as one hand and a four-barrel cannon for the other flying outside next to the ship.

"Sounds like a plan, your Majesty." Riku said as they moved the ship and took aim at the large Heartless as it did the same.

(Meanwhile, with Sora and the group)

The skateboard came to a halt in a large parking lot surrounded by trees as the fireworks used the last of their explosive material to propel the board. Once it stopped moving, the toys disembarked and shook themselves clean of any possible debris.

"That…was…awesome!" Beast Boy exclaimed, bounding to the ground.

"Man, I just scratched this off my bucket list!" Cyborg replied, hopping off the board.

"Really, when did you add riding a rocket-propelled skateboard with Woody and Buzz to your list?" Raven asked as she glided down to the pavement.

"Just now actually!" Cyborg replied.

"I cannot imagine what else is in our future if we have done these things, Sora." Starfire replied.

"It's always the unexpected, Star." Sora replied as helped Goofy get Donald off the board.

"Can we not do that again?" Donald asked, woozy from the ride.

"Oh, c'mon Donald. You know that was fun." Goofy said.

"I'm guessing this is just the tip of the iceberg. We should be ready for anything." Robin said as everyone nodded.

"Alright everybody we're here." Woody said as he and the other toys stood in front of them. Everyone looked toward the building and their eyes widened at the large mega building in fron of them: it was made up of several different buildings of varying sizes and colors with different signs on the front, a large sign at the entrance with the word "Galaxy Toys" hanging over the doors and on top of roof was a gigantic space ship with a yellow dome on top and built atop several steel pillars.

"This is a toy store?! It looks like a giant shopping mall." Cyborg exclaimed.

"It's toy heaven!" Beast Boy called out as he sped off toward the entrance.

"Beast Boy! Wait!" Robin called out, but changeling ignored him as he kept running while Rex chased after him with the same level of excitement. Everyone shrugged and chuckled to themselves as they ran toward the entrance. Beast Boy and Rex were the first two through with head start while the rest of the group caught up and slowed down to admire the building.

"Yo, man look at those mecha toys!" Cyborg said, pointing at two nearby windows that showed multiple gigas toys just waiting to be unveiled. Sora ran over to get a closer look with a wide smile on his face.

"Wow! They look so cool!" Sora said, when suddenly an image of what the gigas looked like in that vision he saw before flashed through his mind, making him shake his head and back away from the window.

"Sora. You okay?" Donald asked, seeing his friend in discomfort.

"Y-yeah. Let's keep going." Sora said, walking ahead. The Titans shared a concerned look while Woody and Buzz shrugged their shoulders in confusion as the group walked into the wide room, where several toys were set up on display and a large space capsule in the middle with three rails going up toward the ceiling. They then looked up to see several floors above them.

"This place is huge! It's gonna take us awhile to check the whole building." Robin said. Everyone looked around while Rex and Beast Boy browsed around while Sora and Raven stared at some of the imobile toys.

"I wonder why the other toys aren't moving." Raven said.

"My guess is that it hasn't figured it out yet." Woody said, moving his hat out of the way so he could get a better look.

"Figured what out?" Sora asked.

"I can make it move." A voice said, making everyone stand at attention, while Beast Boy and Rex screamed in fear and rejoined the group as they looked toward the top of the space capsule to see a man in a black coat step out from a corridor of darkness. The man removed his hood to reveal himself to be Young Xehanort.

"You!" Sora exclaimed as his fists tightened in anger.

"Sora?" Robin asked.

"He's the young verison of Xehanort. I met him during my Mark of Mastery Exam." Sora explained to them.

"I'm honored that you remember me." Xehanort replied.

"How could I forget?! You sabotaged my exam! Tried to make me lose hope!" Sora yelled back. Xehanort smirked and snapped his fingers, summoning a few of the Space Heartless as they jumped down from the capsule and flew toward the Gigas toys. Suddenly, the hatches to the Gigas opened up, allowing the Heartless to jump into the toys and bring it to life. Three of the now active Gigas jumped down from the displays and toward the group, surrounding them as they aimed their weapons at the heroes.

"Oh, now they're not so cool!" Cyborg exclaimed as the group slowly backed away.

"They can move?!" Woody asked.

"Way cool!" Hamm exclaimed.

"NO HAMM! NOT COOL!" Beast Boy yelled. One of the Gigas readied its fist to punch Hamm, but Sora, Donald, and Goofy ran forward and blocked the fists with their weapons while Woody tackled the piggy bank out of the way. The other Gigas started shooting at the heroes, but Raven created a dark shield around them, blocking the very real projectiles.

"Dude, they're toys! How are they shooting lasers?!" Beast Boy yelled.

"One heart's shadows fill the emptiness of another. See how they bring him to life? Like Heartless and Nobodies, they fit together perfectly." Young Xehanort said, watching up above.

"Why are you here? Why are you doing this?!" Sora yelled out.

"Let's just say we are missing a darkness and we hope to reclaim it. They way hearts connect in this world can provide us an answer. The choice was simple, create a copy of this world, pull the hearts apart and observe the results." Xehanort revealed.

"You?! You took Andy and the others away?!" Buzz yelled out.

"I wonder how you'll handle the strain. Don't let me down." Xehanort said as he created a corridor and stepped through.

"Wait! What does that mean?!" Sora exclaimed as he Donald, and Goofy struggled to hold off the Gigas while the Teen Titans struggled to hold off the other two and more Heartless reinforcements.

"Sora! We got more coming in!" Cyborg called out, shooting his sonic cannon at one of the Gigas.

"AHHH! Woody! Yozora! Help us!" Rex suddenly yelled out and everyone turned to see Rex, Hamm, and the Aliens being taken away by the Heartless and hauled toward one of the upper floors.

"Rex! Hamm!" Woody called out.

"Aliens! No!" Buzz yelled.

"Woah, hey let us down you freaks!" Hamm yelled at the Heartless.

"Sora, what do we do?!" Donald asked as the Gigas eventually won their struggle and punched the three heroes back, amking them regroup with the remaining toys and Titans as the Heartless and Gigas surrounded them.

And I shall leave it there as a cliffhanger! The team is surrounded by the Heartless, Rex and the others are kidnaped or toy-naped as they call it, and Xehanort is running amuck in the Toy Box! Wanna see what happens next? Well, if you played the game then you know what happens, but if you wanna see what happens next in the story then please stay tuned. Now onto the reviews you all left me:

NinjaFang1331: Thank you! I hope you enjoyed this chapter as an intro to the Toy Box.

XenoBlaze: I thought it would be a good add in to Radiant Garden and have Riku and Mickey react to it. Kairi will definitely have a interesting reaction to them. I like to imagine that since the Teen Titans show aired from 2003 to 2006, that they would have seen anything Disney related post 2007 and since Ratatouille came out in 2007.

D.J.Scales: I might add in another world that Roxas visited later but we'll see. And I'm saving that reveal to Tron about the Grid for later. Glad you're enjoying the story.

Arturwho: Thank you, glad you love it. I might include the arrow guns and the guardian shield for later chapters.

Ian12091995: Glad you enjoyed it! And Happy Chinese New Year to you as well.

Althea Sirius: Just excitement all around for the Titans! I alwways wanted to see Aqua get her armor back but sadly we never see it. She just has it back.

Cman6465: Glad you liked the chapter my friend. That bomb will certainly be huge.

D.J. Scales(2): I really did want Sora to make a difference around Jump City. Plus, I thought having Sora go to the prom would be funny lol.

Guest1: Possibly…

Cocopuff24: I'll be sure to. I'm glad you enjoy the story.

D.J. Scales(3): I'll have to decide on what other Drive Forms I want to add.

Khy Dragon: And again, and again, and again.

I hope you all are staying safe and having a great day as April starts off for 2024. Man, already. I also hope you all had a Happy Easter as well and enjoyed whatever you did to celebrate. My main explaination for why the Titans will react to certain Disney worlds is that since they aired in 2003 to 2006, I'll make it to where any Disney movie made post 2006, they've never seen. So, when they get to Tangled or Frozen, they won't know the movie. I hope that makes sense for everyone. I also wanted to thank a friend of mine for helping me brainstorm and come up with ideas for this story: The Ultra Bloodedge.

If you all enjoyed this chapter and wish to see more, please favor and follow to stay updated on new chapters. If you have any ideas or an opinion to share, please leave a review or PM me at any time. I'll be sure to get back to you soon. Thank you all so much for reading and I'll see you guys in the next part of the Toy Box. Peace!
