Speeding through the forests with her semblance, Ruby Rose continues to run deep in the forest until the exhaustion starts to catch up to her which ultimately has her crashing onto a nearby tree. She gets up slowly, grunting in pain and gasping for air. From in her hood, Little came out a bit shaken but worried for their friend.
Little: Ruby? Ruby?
Ruby: Huh?
Little: What are you doing? Why did you shout at everyone like that?
Ruby: *looks around* Where...am I?
Little: It's okay! I can guide us back. You shouldn't run off though. You all need to stick together if you wanna go home.
Ruby: *sighs* Why are you still here?
Little: Uh...what? I promised.
Ruby: I promised to serve Atlas as a Huntress...That I'd keep people safe...That I'd be there for my friends...
Little: But, we can go back and-
Ruby: NO!
This startled Little as Ruby picked them up and place them on the ground before standing up and making her move once again in the deep forests.
Ruby: You don't know what I've done. What I couldn't do! I can't do this! I could never do this...If you stay with me, you're going to end up dead too...Just. Go. Home...
Little: But you're-
Ruby: I said GO!
Little yelped once again fear while Ruby could only carry an expression of distraught, anger, guilt, and fear. She ran deep in the forest before using her Semblance to disappear from sight while Little could only watch on with a heartbreak in their heart...

The Doctor: No! No! No! That will not do! Not on this day and this week of course!
Weiss: Psst! Doctor! What are you doing?!
The Doctor: We can't continue this! A gut-wrenching chapter coming up for the readers to watch and post it on Christmas day?! That's just cruel!
Ruby: But...Christmas isn't for a few more months.
The Doctor: Nooooo! Not for you four, for Them! *Points to the readers*
Ruby: *looks around confused* The air?
Blake: I...think he means the readers of the story.
The Doctor: YES! The readers are celebrating Christmas Day or Hanukkah on this very day, December 25th.
Ruby: Oooooooooh *looks at the readers and waves* HELLO!
Weiss: But, it's actually December 27th. 2 days past Christmas.
The Doctor: *sighs* Don't ruin the magic for me, sweetie.
Yang: Soooo you want to pause the story...to celebrate Christmas?
The Doctor: Well...
The Author: What in the name of sanity are you doing? *Approaches them*
Ruby: Ooooo, a mysterious stranger appears.
The Doctor: Ah, just the man I've been wanting to talk to. Team RWBY, THIS is the man behind our story. The Author.
Weiss: He's the one doing our story?
Ruby: Are you a Time Lord like the Doctor...
Yang: Or human like us.
The Author: I am both...yet I am neither.
Ruby and Yang: Mysterious and Cool.
The Author: You paused the story for what exact reason Doctor?
The Doctor: It's the most Wonderful Time of the Year and you can't just poor us on a sad and dark chapter during this week. Have you no shame sir?
The Author: *chuckles* Oh Doctor, My Doctor. I will say I am very happy with how you have turned up. My own version of the Doctor, teaming up with Team RWBY in a Trip of a Lifetime.
The Doctor: And yet, you wanting to bring the emotions down on Christmas AND we haven't gotten a Christmas special at all!
Blake: Christmas Special?
The Author: When Doctor Who returned in 2005, every year on Christmas there would be a special episode. Now, Doctor, you do have a Christmas Special being written for Volume 1.
Weiss: But that's when we just started the story almost 2 years ago. Wouldn't that sorta ruin the order of the Volumes?
The Author: Yes BUT I will be reworking on Volume 1 and Volume 2 with extra chapters and a Christmas Special to conclude Volume 1. Then you will have a second Christmas Special next Christmas in 2025 with the Doctor's new face.
Team RWBY: DECEMBER 2025?!
The Doctor: I see where this is going.
The Author: I guess I'll say it here for you five and the amazing readers out there to know. Right between the end of January or the first week of February, A Gentleman in Remnant will come to an end as The Doctor will regenerate to their new look.
The Doctor: I'm going to miss my original look, not gonna lie.
The Author: And from there, there will be a break for me until Team RWBY returns with the 2nd Doctor in December 2025. During that break, I'll be working on stories for my other clients and reworking Volume 1 and 2.
Ruby: Oh yeah! Yang and I are actually looking forward to one of them. The Murder Drones x Venom crossover story.
Yang: Wait, does that mean your other client is N?
The Author: No comment. And I will also be doing a Logan style story for Rusty the Dalek from the 12th Doctor Era.
Blake: Soooo in a way...we're going on vacation?
The Author: Exactly! You five have been a huge part in making this story go on and I have had the time writing these four volumes. Once Volume 4 comes to an end, you five will get to enjoy some time off before I continue the next series of my Doctor Who in December.
Yang: I don't know about you guys but I'm down for a nice vacation.
The Doctor: Not to mention, you four are still going to be waiting on news from VIZ to return for Volume 10.
The Author: But back to the main topic, I see your point Doctor and believe me, I've been wanting to do Christmas Specials for the story but it's either no time or the ideas weren't there.
The Doctor: But now, you have two Christmas special ideas. One that will go in Volume 1 and the other...once I get a new face.
The Author: Exactly. You'll see it eventually but I guess I could have you five go on a small Christmas adventure and I'll post the next chapter next week just in time for New Years. What do you think, Doctor?
The Doctor: Hmm *thinks* I suppose it's not bad of an idea. What sort of Christmas adventure do you have planned for us?
The Author: Trying to stop Krampus from draining all of the spirit of Christmas.
Yang: Kicking Butts and Saving Christmas? DEAL!
Ruby: Me Too!
The Author: Because if there is one thing most people need nowadays and especially during this time of the year, it's Hope and Kindness.
The Doctor: Which is why I'm the Doctor of Hope and Kindness.
The Author: You are and always will be, Doctor. That is why I created you- Well...also because I wanted to see a RWBY x Doctor Who crossover. But most importantly, I thought if I were to create my own version of the Doctor, it needed something that defines you and that can be passed all around. Plus, I think these four girls were the right choice to start this epic story.
The Doctor: Thank you, Author. Truly thank you.
Weiss: Those words really mean a lot to us and that you gave us a madman with a police box.
Ruby: And a Dalek friend.
The Author: *chuckles* Now then you five, I must head off and return to work as you will get ready for your Christmas adventure. Feel free to speak to the readers and wish them a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah. A Merry Christmas to you five as well. *Waves and disappears*
Weiss: Soooo mission complete? Broke the fourth wall to get all that from the Author.
The Doctor: Oh yes! *Looks at the readers and approaches* Hello again. The Doctor here with Team RWBY. On behalf of all of us, while we may just be fictional characters, we are glad to know you still enjoy having us around and we wish ALL of you, a wonderful Merry Christmas and a wonderful Happy Hanukkah.
Ruby: Always remember to spend it well with your loved ones, create memories, and always make sure to grab yourself a nice, warm cookie.
Yang: *nudges Ruby* Whether your family are close or far, always find a way to reach out to them on this special time of the year.
Weiss: Because time passes on, time changes, and so do we in life. Always consider that as time passes on, Every Christmas is Last Christmas.
Blake: And it's not always about the gifts, but about the connection, the joy, and having a wonderful time.
The Doctor: And never forget the most important thing, Never Be Cruel or Cowardly. Always try to be nice but never fail to be kind because Hate is always foolish and Love will always be wise. Enjoy the holidays you amazing people. And one last time before this TARDIS team goes on to save Christmas.
Everyone: Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!
