Oh boy thought Xander, Could I be any more Nervous? He was walking up to the porch at Buffy's house, wondering what she will think, say, do, hoping for some sort of positive response to let Xander know there might be a chance together. Xander shook the negative thoughts from his head, and knocked on the door. "Coming" Xander heard from inside. The door opened and revealed one hell of a WonderWoman on the other side, unfortunately it was not the summers he was hoping for. Joyce was wondering when Xander would arrive, since Buffy and Willow were taking their sweet time. Responding to a knock on the door she opened it up to see Xander dressed as Superman, the suit fitting him well, he looked handsome. He wasn't slouching, he had a smile on his face, he appeared happy.

She said hello to him and called to Buffy who made her way down the stairs. "Xander, where the heck did you get that costume?" Buffy asked. "Oh you know Buff, the same place you did" Xander said with a smirk. "Buffy, doesn't he look handsome, quite the Superman" complimented Joyce. "Yes, yes he is" Buffy answered, speaking her mind before a filter could apply the Xander-shaped friend lens she had been doing for Willow's sake. It's an honest compliment, she told herself. He fit the suit, he had the tall dark and heroic going well for him, and his arms looked great with no bagginess on the costume. "Krypton to Buffy, you in there?" asked Xander, while Joyce looked on with a smirk. Joyce knew a few things about what life was like for young romance, and she would rather have a guy like Xander around Buffy than another Pike like at Hemery. Buffy shook her head with a blush, "I'm sorry Xander, what did you say?" "That's alright Buffy, I said you look quite amazing yourself, you wear the princess flawlessly, are you and Willow ready to go? asked Xander. With that comment made, Buffy cringed a little at the ogling of Xander, not wanting to dwell on that, she turned and shouted "Willow, get your butt down here, it's time to go" and turned to catch Joyce asking Xander "please keep an eye out for Buffy, first Halloween here, I would like it to go smooth and her to be back by 10pm" "Of course Miss Summers, to get to Buffy, any nasties out there will have to go through the Last Son of Krypton'' Xander teased, knowing full well Buffy would be doing the protecting if at all. Joyce simply smiled content, with his good nature and fairly obvious feelings for her daughter, she was at peace tonight.

With all the conversing, Willow coming down in her ghost costume instead of the adventurous outfit Buffy picked out was glossed over in favor of getting the night going. The trio left and made their way to the high school to pick up their assigned children. After Snyders annoying threats, the three friends left and started hitting houses, determined to make up the time and bag the most candy.

'Out here in the fields,

I fight for my meals,

I get my back into my living,

I don't need to fight,

To prove I'm right

I don't need to be forgiven

Taking a sip of his scotch, Ethan walked over to his radio and turned the dial down, a little music always relaxed him for a ceremony and Baba O'riley by the Who seemed fitting with all the high schoolers that had gotten costumes from him, after the next hour, it would be a teenage wasteland. He kneeled and began, "Janus I your loyal servant beseech thee, please grant me your boon, I come to you on All Hallows Eve with an offering of potential chaos that I hope satisfies" as he descended further into the ceremony, mystical energies swirled around the bust he was using as a focal point for his spell. His eyes became black and a cheshire grin spread on his face, he was the favored son for the evening and he could feel it. As the magic poured from him into the bust and then to the town, the evening's entertainment began.

Clark looked around with as much disorientation as a Kyptonian could have and noticed very quickly, that 1. He being the proverbial Dorothy wasn't in Kansas anymore, he never felt comfortable leaving Metropolis for long. 2. He did not remember how he arrived here, wherever here was? appeared to be a horde of the wildest collection of creatures, monsters, and people he had ever seen. Clark had seen a lot but a Werewolf dodging shots from who appeared to be Wyatt Earp, this was weird. Just as he was planning to take to the skies to survey this town, a voice called out rather loud and seemingly to him, "Xander, I need your help" he turned and spotted a translucent red-headed woman in a rather provocative outfit running up to him, when she seemed to trip, he placed his arms to catch her and she stumbled through him. Shocked but adapting quickly, Superman said "Miss, I am sorry, you have me confused, I am Superman, is this Xander family? Can I help you find him? Willow proceeded to walk him over to a newspaper stand with a glass cover and showed him his reflection. To say he was more confused would have been understatement, Superman turned to the girl named Willow and said "So everyone, tonight has turned into their costumes, and I am your friend Xander?" Clark thought, this definitely cracks the top 5 weirdest things to ever happen to me. "we need to get you and your friend, Buffy was it, to safety, anyplace we can go?" Willow quickly responded, "Mr. Giles is our librarian and a friend." "That will work, I will need just a moment" and with that Superman sped up and down every street and road in the city to familiarize himself with how to navigate the city. " What is his address?" Superman asked and after receiving an address from Willow, nodded his head, politely asked Buffy to accompany him to safety and sped over to Giles.

Another person experiencing a top 5 weird moment would be Ruper Giles, former curator of the British Museum answering the door on Halloween night to find an American symbol of heroics in the flesh. "Let me see if I am hearing this correctly, you are not Xander Harris, you are in fact the comic book character Superman. Please don't take offense to this um, Not Xander, but you didn't happen to uh perhaps partake in any marijuana before the evening began did you?" asked Giles. "Mr. Giles, please allow me" Superman looked around and for a lack of a better idea, tightened his fist and drilled a concrete half wall leading up to Giles door, instantly crumbling it. Giles with the gears turning in his head, took off his glasses and proceeded to polish them while silently inviting Superman to come in.

Superman escorted Buffy in and as he opened his mouth to continue to explain. Willow came running through the walls, babbling about Spike and Drusilla on the streets looking for Buffy. As the group absorbed this news, she proceeded to explain what happened, when it happened, and where they got their costumes from. Giles' face morphed from confused to concerned to sick as he spat "Ethan Rayne, a former associate from a lifetime ago, a Chaos Mage of some repute with a twisted sense of humor, I should have guessed" Superman chimed in "I know this is not my body and with that in mind I promise to take care of it, but there are innocents out there and I need to minimize the risk to them, may I trust you to handle this magician, Mr. Giles?" Giles straightening and feeling like a school boy if only for a moment "I will handle it Superman, I wish we had a few moments, I only imagined in my wildest dreams as a boy the chance to meet someone like you, but perhaps once the current crises are averted, you may spare me a few moments?" Superman smiled, "let us resolve these situations, we will talk, I also wish to know more about this Xander?, I feel a need from him to protect Buffy, it feels incredibly warm almost burning in intensity"Giles felt proud "Xander cares a great deal for Buffy, romantically I imagine, if not at least on par with a deep familial connection, he's a very decent young man" Superman nodded and took off.

Giles turned to Willow, "You and I will go to Ethans now, but do as I say, when I say it" Willow nodded and they left. Miss Calendar was now on babysitting duty with Buffy, nowhere near the romance she wanted but this was one hell of a Halloween, so sacrifices were made on all fronts.

Superman moved slower than he had in a long time, it felt as if his body was aching for solar rays, which he realized this body is or has been Kryptonian for less than 2 hours and had likely not fully adapted its cells to intaking said solar rays. Even with that handicap, he still had plenty of energy to hunt this Spike and Drusilla, what names he thought, they are no better in this universe than my own when it comes to villains.

It did not take him long to find them, cockily strutting down one of several streets with a group of creatures tagging along. He felt another of Xander's desires, this one to use his heat vision to turn them into smolders, he felt inclined to indulge and swooped in. "I am here for Spike and Drusilla, the rest of you must disperse and return to wherever you came from, or face the consequences" "Is this wanker serious, are you mad? Spike challenged, "I have killed two slayers and plenty more uglies out there, a grown man in a onesie can piss off, sod thinks he supes" Drusilla looked terrified "Spikey we need to leave *pffff* and the dust was partially covering Spike and the rest falling to the ground. Spike whipped his head from the developing dust pile to Superman and noticed his glowing red eyes, pulling a quick 180, Spike shouted "Run you bleeding fools" and a step was all he got before *pffff* was replicated and after centuries of terror, the reign of Spike and Drusilla ended.

Meanwhile, at Ethans costume store on the other side of town.
"You put people I care about in danger, you son of a bitch" shouted Giles stepping closer to Ethan. "Can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen Giles, you came here, you" joked Ethan "Shut your mouth, you have no regard for innocent lives" interrupted Giles "Now how do I break the spell, tell me quickly and I will leave everything intact" Giles threatened.

Superman did not love that show of force when he could avoid it, but between an internal annoyance he found bubbling up and the reality that these were not creatures to be reasoned with, decisive action had to be taken. Cleaning up had taken the better part of an hour after that, but any creature that he could corral was contained, any creature that didn't appear to be induced by the halloween events was handled. Taking a breath even if just for the sake of it, he shot into the sky and proceeded to orbit. Breaking through the atmosphere he panned and found the sun, time for a good soak, shooting in that direction.

"Ethan, last chance, then I move to permanent" warned Giles. "Ok,ok old man, no need to go that far" coughed out Ethan, turning to spit out some blood. "Break the bust" the bloody bust"

Superman was feeling more like his old self and was on his way back to Earth, specifically Sunnydale when he heard a distress call come from below him, tens of thousands feet below him. What appeared to be a passenger airliner was passing over Sunnydale and had encountered an electrical disturbance that knocked out one of its engines. He swooped to the side of the aircraft near the cockpit, giving them a general idea of his intentions, he came up underneath and supporting the hull on his back guided it to LAX, it appearing to be where he remembered it.

Giles ran over and heaved the bust over his head and with as much strength as he could muster threw it at the wall smashing it beyond repair. Giles was knocked back after a wave of magic exited the item. Recovering quickly but a bit hazy, he looked around not seeing Ethan, cursing under his breath he ran to get Willow from the front and get home to check on Buffy and Jenny.
