I still don't know why Toriel hasn't come back yet. She left a while ago to check for humans. Even though she already did it, when I asked her, simply said that she just wants to make sure. It is still weird though since this never happened in the timeline before. Maybe it's because her faint memory from the past resets. But there would still be no reason for her to double-check for humans though.

Right now I am just sitting at Toriel's dining room table, while I wait for Toriel to get back. It's pretty quiet in the house as I listen for any indicator that Toriel has returned. But I am greeted with silence. Until I hear that familiar voice in my head.

You know there is a reason why she is taking so long.

Chara for once sounds excited. I can tell that they are in a good mood today.

"What do you mean Chara? Why has Toriel been gone for so long?" Does Chara know something that I don't? What is happening that would make Chara excited? Has Flowey done something? Did he get bored of the constant resets and decide to mess with the timeline to the amusement of Chara?!

You'll see Frisk. But just know this, I won't be needing you soon. And once that time comes I will finally have my revenge.

"Chara what do you mean? What is going on?!" What could Chara mean? What do they mean by not needing me anymore? They couldn't have found another way out could they?! If Chara gets out, they will seek revenge against humanity!

My worried thoughts are interrupted by the sound of footsteps outside Toriel's door. She's back! I can hear the sound of her voice coming from behind the door.

"This will be your new home Gregory, I hope you'll like it."

"It certainly looks nicer than the rest of the Ruins. But again I don't think I will be staying here for long." Who is that other voice? He sounds human! But there can't be another human down here, right?

You should see the look on your face! It's hilarious!

I try to ignore Chara's cackles as the door opens, revealing Toriel and a boy in a blue shirt with 2 white stripes across his chest. The boy looks to be about 11 or 12 years old, and from the looks of it, he seems to be pretty thin. So thin in fact that it doesn't look natural. He also has a bandage on his leg and the right side of his face. The moment I see him I freeze. Right now I am in complete shock. The boy looks at me curiously as Toriel smiles at us.

"Hello my child, this is Gregory. I found him while I was in the Ruins. It is quite a surprise to have two humans fall not so far from each other." I quickly try to hide my surprise and I smile at him. Even though this is a drastic alteration to the timeline I still need to greet him with kindness. I won't let my shock get in the way of doing the right thing!

"How would you like to show Gregory around, while I attend to some business?" Toriel quickly heads off towards her kitchen. Probably to make more pie since she didn't expect more than one child here.

"Hi Gregory, I'm Frisk! It is nice to meet you." I extend my hand for Gregory to shake it. I understand how it felt to be in the Underground for the first time. It was scary at first but at the same time, I felt the thrill of exploring as I met many new friends. I want Gregory to feel the same way I did when I went through the Underground. If I can make Gregory's arrival to the Underground feel any calmer I will.

"I didn't expect to find someone else down here. How did you end up here?" Gregory says as he shakes my hand. The question earns an uneasy smile. Throughout the resets the only person who ever asked me that question was Asriel but the subject was quickly changed before I could reply.

"I always heard the rumors surrounding the mountain. I wanted some adventure, and I thought that maybe I could do some good once I got here." The thought of the monsters trapped down here forever, made my heart ache. I knew in my heart that the rumors of the monster being entirely evil were not true, it was the lie the humans told as the truth was lost to time.

"So how did you come to Mt Ebott?" Forgetting about the error in the rest, it was always interesting to wonder why all the other humans climbed up the mountain. I know what Chara's reason was, and the disturbing aspects of it. But I know that Chara was likely the only human to come up here for those reasons.

"Let's just say that it was not by choice." Gregory looks at me awkwardly as he says this. His response fills me with curiosity and sympathy. Why would someone be left with no choice but to climb Mt Ebott? Was he in danger?

It's fun watching you make theories, you being ignorant in this situation is priceless! I can hardly wait to see the look on your face when this world crumbles around you.

Chara's words are bone-chilling. What could they be planning and how does it involve Gregory? Whatever it is, I can't let anyone get hurt. I will protect all my friends no matter what. I won't let Toriel's dust fill the Ruins hallway. I won't let Papyrus's head hit the snow in Snowdin! Toriel, Undyne, Papyrus, Sans, Asriel, Asgore, Mettaton, Alphys, and all the other monsters. I will protect them all! My thoughts are interrupted by Toriel's voice coming from the other room.

"My children! I have a surprise ready for you!" I can smell cinnamon and butterscotch coming from the kitchen. I try to calm down as I smile. Everything will be alright. I just have to be Determined.
