Land of Fire, Konohagakure, Chūnin Exams Arena, Battle Arena

Naruto stood next to Shikamaru as they waited for the others to arrive, "So where were you training," Shikamaru asked the blond.

"My grandfather, he came and trained me with some people he knew," Naruto said, his voice filled with warmth and a hint of nostalgia as he drummed his fingers on his sword.

"I see," Shikamaru said, eyes scanning the growing crowd. "Your grandfather sounds like a tough teacher."

"He was, but he always had my back," Naruto replied fondly.

As the Chūnin Exams Arena buzzed with quiet anticipation, the energy of the place was palpable. The viewing gallery began to fill up, and the spectators' excited chatter added to the upcoming event's thrill.

Neji was the next to walk in, and after a few seconds, the tension in the air heightened as all three suna ninjas walked in after him, their presence adding a new layer of intrigue to the scene.

And then Shino walked in.

Naruto narrowed his eyes as he sent out his sensory range and looked for the vial chakra the man gave off.

But he could not find him.

"That's strange, evether still on his way back into Konoha, or," Naruto thought as his eyes moved over to the red-haired Suna ninja.

Viewing Gallery, With Sakura, Ino, and Choji

"Hey, doesn't Naruto look differnet," Choji asked the two girls as he looked down.

Sakura looked at her teammate and saw that he had yet to even look into the viewing gallery or the other rooms on the main floor.

"It doesn't matter, he's the dead last h-" Ino said before a laugh cut her off as she looked to see Yūgao nearby.

"Oh, how wrong you are," she said to the young girl, who looked confused. "I have it on good authority that the Anbu, Cat, and someone more powerful than the Hokage, and made sure that Naruto could deal with that Hyūga down there," Yūgao said, as Ino did not know what to say.

After hearing this, Anko walked over. "He was trained by Cat," she asked with a smile.

"Yep, and from what she told me, he is at least mid-Chūnin level to low-Jōnin," Yūgao explained as Anko's eyes widened before she smiled.

"If the kid wants, I'll take him under my wing," she said, and Yūgao nodded.

"I was going to do the same," She said as Anko looked shocked.

"Realy, Konoha's Queen of the Blade, is going to take an apprentice," Anko asked as the other purple-haired woman nodded, "Then, Konoha's Queen of Serpents, can offer him a chance," She said as the three Genin was shocked that the two was fighting over wanting to train Naruto.

"Now, ladies, I'm araid that I'm going to train him," Jiraiya said as he walked over.

Both women looked at him with a raised brow, "Why," Anko asked him.

"To atone," He said as he saw that Genma had made his way onto the field.

Genma looked over everyone before turning to the crowd. "By orders of the Hokage, both Sasuke Uchiha and Dozu of Oto are disqualified for failing to turn up," he called out as Naruto rolled his eyes at Sasuke's not turning up.

People started to 'boo' him, but he paid no mind to them and waited for them to finish, "Now that is over, the purpose of this exam is to prove that the ninja of our villages is capable of two things, the first is making sure that they can listen to orders given to them by their kage, who told everyone in the preliminaries to be here at this day and time, which both Sasuke Uchiha and Dozu of Oto has failed to comply with," He told them all as everyone went quiet, "And the second thing being tested is there skill and if they can make it to Chūnin," Genma said as silence filled the viewing area. Sakura and the others were surprised and worried about Naruto's absence, wondering what could have happened to him.

When the man did not hear anything else, he looked at the Hokage, who nodded. "And now may all the contestants apart from Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyūga," Genma called out as the other five walked off the floor and into a waiting room, the silence in the viewing area becoming almost tangible.

Neji looked at Naruto with narrowed eyes, while the blond looked at his opponent with indifference, "May the first mach begine," Genma called out as he jumped off.

"I will offer you the on-" Neji said before Naruto disappeared for a second, reappeared in front of Neji with his leg up for a front kick, and kicked the Hyūga square in the chest.

And from that one kick, Neji was sent flying across the floor into a wall.

Naruto appeared before Neji and started to punch the man as cracks were heard.

And it was not the wall behind Hyūga.

And so Naruto repeatedly attacks Neji with a lightning-fast barrage of open-handed strikes with both hands, punches, and kicks.

No one could say anything as they watched the brutal beat down.

None more than the Hyūga, as for some reason, they all pitched themselves in Neji's stead.

"W-wha-what," Ino asked as she looked frightened at what a deadlast was doing to a rookie of the year.

"Academy ranks mean nothing in the real world," Jiraiya said as the people turned to him, "I was the deadlast, while Orochimaru was the rookie of the year, and look how we turned out, when I don't hold back I'm Kage level, and my former teammate is an S-Rank criminal," He said as everyone turned back to the fight.

"The only person that had truly earned the title rookie of the year and proved that it was not just hot air, was Minato Namikaze, my student," Jiraiya told them as they watched as Naruto crushed the nose of Neji and as the Hyūga fell to the floor clutching his face, "What I want to know is how Nartuo is doing that much damage, and when I have him under my wing, how I can expand on it," He said as he rubbed his chin as Naruto kicked Neji in the ribs. It seemingly sent Neji across the field.

"It's his Fighting Style that he created," Yūgao said as the sage looked at her, "Think of it when you do water walking or tree climbing and send to much chakra out," She explained to him.

They watched as Naruto walked over to Neji calmly as if his opponent was not heavily damaged on the floor.

And they saw that when he reached Neji, he grabbed the older boy by the leg and threw him into the air.

He then jumped after the Hyūga before gabbing the same leg that he used to fling Neji into the air and then rotated his body, sending Neji flying back into the ground, making a crator with his body in the centre.

Naruto landed on the ground as he lifted Neji's beaten and bleeding head and forced him to look at Hiruzen, and that is when the Hokage started to speak.

"Listen well, Neji Hyūga. Before this exam, I ordered Naruto to humble you and your clan. Do you want to know why?" he asked, and all the Hyūga listened in.

And with Neji unable to speak, Hiruzen took that as a yea, "I am tired of the bullshit your clan is doing to this village and trying to seize the so call power gap that the Uchiha left with their fall, so I am done asking nicely so listen well all members of the Hyūga, stop your crusade of stupidity or I will send Anbu, Naruto, and Jiraiya to pull the weeds out," He said Hiruzen nodded at Genma as Naruto dropped Neji.

"Winner of the first match, Naruto Uzumaki," he called out as the blond approached the waiting room. "Hey, quick question: Why not draw your blade?" Genma asked as that question was on everyone's mind.

Naruto looked over with a raised brow. "I'm not stupid enough to use a cannon to hunt a rabbit," he said before heading to the waiting area.

Genma looked over to Neji as he was lifted off a stretcher with a raised brow, "If that sword is a cannon in his mind. What the fuck does he count his fists," Genma muttered as he watched as Nartuo walked up the stairs.

After the teen was taken to the medical room and the members of the Hyūga clan looked paler than usual, Genma started to call out, "As Sasuke Uchiha has been disqualified, Gaara of the sand moves on to the next round, so may Kankurō of the sand and Shino Aburame come down."

Shino started going down as Kankurō looked at the girl next to him.

"Just go, and don't use all of what Karasu can do," she whispered to him. He nodded and walked down to meet with Shino.

Shikamaru looked at Naruto, who sat down to rest before joining him. "Well, that was brutal," he said to his friend as he sat beside Naruto.

He looked at Shikamaru before smiling, "Orders are orders," Naruto said to him as Shikamaru nodded before he whispered to the Nara clan member, "Something is not right, look around the gallary," He said as the Nara did so and saw something that made his eyes narrow.

"So this is eather they are going to support the other two nations in this exam," Shikamaru said.

"Or this is an attack," Naruto said as he pulled out a small scroll, put his hand on the bench he was on and summoned a falcon.

The falcon had blood-red feathers, a black underbelly, and a black rob in its wings.

"I din't know you could summon," Shikamaru said as the flacon flew over to the Hokage.

"It was something that I picked up," He said as he looked into the main floor and saw that Shino was dominating the battle.

The girl watched the fight with narrowed eyes. "Kankurō, what are you doing? Finish that fool already," she thought before seeing that Shino and Kankurō fell to the floor.

Genma walked over to them and checked them both before nodding, "The concussion of the second match between Kankurō of the sand and Shino Aburame is a draw," He called out.

Shikamaru looked at Naruto, who looked the Nara in the eye, "Make sure you drag the fight out as much as you can," He whispered to the Nara, who nodded.

Genma called down the next two as soon as the medics took Kankurō and Shino away. "May both Shikamaru Nara and Temari of the Sand come down," he called out to them as the final Suna ninja walked out, with Shikamaru following slowly behind.

Naruto looked down into the Battle Arena, "May the third match, begin," Genma called out as Temari started to send blades of wind at Shikamau.

"Do you think that he can keep the battle going long engugh my king," Ōjo Ōkami Senshi asked him as Naruto put a hand on her sealed form.

"Shikamaru is the one person that I think would be a good adviser for me when I become Hokage, as he has the brains for it," Naruto thought as he looked down at the battle, "But his job here is not to attack outright but to stall, along with gather as much information that he can, and when I fight Gaara, I will have the ground messed up," He told her as he felt her nod in his soul.

"Naruto," A voice called to him, and he turned to see his pink-haired teammate walk over to him.

He looked at them with a raised brow, "Yes," He asked her.

"Where were you training? We didn't hear you in Konoha for—" she said before Naruto cut her off.

"I was not training within Konoha," He said as he turned back to the battle.

"Oh," Sakura muttered as she stood beside him, and the two watched the battle between Shikamaru and Temari, "Have I—" She started asking him before he cut her off.

"You, of all people, should know that I don't back away from something unless there is no way out, and I knew that if someone trained me the right way, I could beat Neji like I did," Naruto said as he then looked Sakura dead in the eye, "But to think that the people that are supposed to have my back, would give up on me so easily," He said to her as she saw that his eyes turned purple with concentric circles moving in from his whites as the eye as wholly covered.

"But," She told him but looked down.

"I never give up on people, but I learnt that some people are not worth my time," Naruto said as tears formed in Sakura's eyes. "And when I become Chūnin, I'm going to request to go solo," he said as Sakura nodded with complete sadness.

She started to walk away, and Naruto's eyes returned to normal. "I wish you luck," Sakura told him as Naruto turned to watch her go.

When he did, he let out a heavy sigh: "It's better this way; she does not get attached to me and is not forced to become something to be used to bring both Zanpakutō and these eyes to the village," he thought as he watched her go.

"Kit, you do know the age-old saying: If you love someone, let them go, and if they come back, it was meant to be," the fox sealed within Naruto told him, and Naruto smiled at that.

"Thanks for that Kurama," Naruto told his tailed beast.

And so Naruto watched the match between Shikamaru and Temari as the Suna Kunoichi forced Shikamaru into a bush.

The battle went on for a long time as it was a battle of tactics between two strategists.

But in the end, one of them made a mistake, leading to Shikamaru using his shadow to capture Temari.

But he gave up in the end.

"Winnder of the third match is Temari of the Sand," Genma called out as Temari and Shikamaru returned to the waiting room.

Naruto made his way down as Gaara appeared on the battlefield, and the two got ready to face off.

And the blond handed his Zanpakutō, ready to release to Shikai.

But that was when a large puff of smoke formed within the arena.

And it showed Kakashi and Sasuke.

"Sorry were late, Sasuke is here for his—" Kakashi said before he spotted Naruto there.

"Sasuke Uchiha has been disqualified for failing to turning up on time," Genma said as Sasuke did not look happy.

"What how dear you do that to me, I'm the last Uchiha," He told Genma before turning to Naruto, who was not looking at him but at Gaara, who was doing the same, "Dope, you drop out so I can take your place," Sasuke ordered Naruto who did not even looked at the Uchiha.

And he did not answer him.

"Sasuke that is final, we—" Kakshi said, but Sasuke did not like being engaged by the blond, so he rushed at him as lightning started to form around Sasuke's hands, to Kakashi's shock.

Naruto glanced at the charging Uchiha before sighing and turning to turn.

And as Sasuke ran at Naruto, it looked like Sasuke passed the blond.

But what shocked people was that Naruto now had his sword and was sheathing it.

"Tentai iai: Kyūsei," Naruto called out as he resheathed his sword.

Everyone waited with bated breath as Saskue turned around.

Once Naruto had fully sheathed his sword and the click of the Zanpakutō being fully returned to the search, something happened.

Everyone watched as an arm fell to the floor with the hand covered in lighting.

It was Sasuke's arm.

"Be glad he did not go for the head," Hiruzen called out as Sasuke crushed at the stump that was now his arm. "And he will not be reprimanded for this as you went in for a killing blow agest a member of your own village, a teammate no less, so be glad to live. Now get off the field and see a medic," he ordered as he looked down at Sasuke indifferently.

Kakashi picked up Sasuke's fallen arm and looked over to Naruto, who looked back at Gaara and put his hand back on his sword, ready.

"Good luck," He told his student.

"May the fourth match begine," Genma called out before jumping out of the way.
